Gothic spooky sapphic romance! All things I love!
(Also, the 'Nev' I go by online is short for Nevermore, because that was my livejournal name as a teen, due to my love for both Raven from the og Teen Titans cartoon and the Poe poem. So the title gels with me too! Though it leads to the unintentionally funny fact that...)
The tag will be #nev reads nevermore .

A/N: Fluffcember day 15! Not sure how well I captured Poe, but I hope I did him justice. Enjoy!

“I thought you liked extreme stunts!” Neva protested, hands on her hips.
“I do, but they usually come with safety equipment,” Poe stated, “Not when it’s just a piece of plastic between me and the ground.”
Neva shrugged, “Fine, guess I’ll just go by myself.”
Poe looked between the steep mountain slope in front of them, to Neva, and then back to the slope. It was lined with coniferous trees, and the sun glinted off the snow in a nearly sinister fashion. One wrong move and they would be going too fast to stop from slamming into the thick trunks.
“There’s no way I’m letting you go alone. You knew that when you dragged me up here, didn’t you?” Poe’s jaw tightened, then relaxed at the sight of her smile.
“Maybe,” she teased. “Are you getting on or not?”
Poe sighed. “Scoot,” he said, gesturing for her to move forward. She did, and Poe sat behind her. A moment later, she pulled his arms around her middle and leaned back into his chest. His heart skipped a beat, but he wrapped his legs around hers anyway. This was the physically closest they’d ever been, and Poe couldn’t say he minded one bit.
The fact that they were about to plummet down a steep-ass mountain on a chunk of brittle plastic only dampened the effect of her presence a little.
“Ready?” she asked.
“As I’ll ever be, Nev.” He said, lips brushing against the shell of her ear.
She squeezed his wrist in her gloved hand, “Just hold onto me if you get scared, Big Bad Pilot Man.”
“Okay.”
With a shove, she tucked her feet into the front of the sled and they began to slide forward. The sled tilted forward and Poe tightened his hold on her as they picked up speed down the mountain. He ignored the chuckle he heard from her.
They kept picking up speed, faster and faster and Poe felt the same as he had when his mother had let him pilot her A-Wing for the first time. Adrenaline pumped through his veins, cold wind brushed his curls back from his forehead. He was unsure, but knew that Neva had control of the sled with the twine she held in her gloved hands. Not being the one piloting was an adjustment, but he was more than willing to give her the reins.
They reached their top speed, Neva’s cheers echoing off the snow around them as the bottom of the mountain got closer and closer. He was so close he could smell the soap on her skin, the warmth of it raising the sweet citrus scent and making his thoughts harder to grasp fully.
The sled lost velocity as the ground beneath them evened out, and they slowed to a stop. Neva jumped up and reached down for Poe, her eyes alight with excitement and cheeks ruddy from the cold wind. In that moment he knew he would follow her to the ends of the galaxy if only she asked.
The thought was confirmed when she jumped into his arms, planting kisses all over his face. “That was amazing!”
“You’re amazing, Neva,” he said, his hands resting on her hips over her coat. “Can I kiss you now?”
“Of course.”
He brought his gloved hands up to shield both sides of her face from the cold before bringing his lips to hers. The adrenaline from the sledding still simmered under his skin and ignited him from within, so when her hand wrapped around his neck and pulled him closer he couldn’t help the low moan that escaped his throat.
“I love you, Poe,” she said when they separated for air.
He kissed her again, “I love you too, Neva.”

Fandom: Star Wars Sequel Triology Pairing: Rey x Poe Dameron Rating: T Summary:  “I can’t believe, that one statement brought so much change to my life.” Words: 759  Notes: Written for Fictober-Event, day 28 Warnings: This fic includes mentions of past controlling behavior. Skip it if that makes you uncomfortable.
Read @ AO3
Rey tucked herself in Poe’s arms.
She sighed contently, letting Poe’s strong arms and his steady heartbeat lull her. “I can’t believe, that one statement brought so much change to my life.”
“Really?” Poe knew a little of her last relationship, but usually, beyond Finn, she preferred not to speak about it. “How so?”
She closed her eyes, “Well, when I was with He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, I was suffocating. He was always on top of what I was doing and where and whom I was going out with or seeing. He disliked my friends and the feeling was mutual, but I was in love, I thought that I could change him.”
“But he didn’t.” Came from Poe, his voice was tender, full of understanding. “Not for you.”
“No. Not for me.” She sighed again. “It all happened because Rose and I went to a concert, we got hungry afterwards and had dinner, lost track of time, you know how it is. And when I came home, he was up and angry, asking where I was and with whom. And something click then, I don’t know what made me say, ‘I don’t have to explain myself’, but I did.”
“And predictably, he didn’t like it.”
“It enraged him.” She admitted. “He said some really ugly things. And I was done. I could not stand him anymore, so when he tried to pull the ‘I’ll dump you’, I told him to get out.”
“He must not have liked that.”
“He stomped on the apartment, slamming doors and other things. But I didn’t care. He left that night and it was the best sleep I’d gotten. I ended formally the relationship the next morning. Finn and Rose were great, they supported me as they always had and I felt like a weight had been lifted off me. I could do what I wanted, and so, I took the writing course.”
Poe leaned forward to kiss her forehead. “And I’m glad you did. We would not have meet otherwise.”
“We would have, you were a friend of Finn.” Rey frowned. “Isn’t it funny how we were never at the same place at the same time?”
“I’d like to think, that we had to met when we did for reasons,” Poe laughed. “And one of those reasons was, I think, that you had to be ready and open to be my friend.”
“Becoming your friend was a blessing,” she said firmly. “Even if we had our bumpy road.”
Poe laughed out loud and he kissed her nose, “And we were both so stubborn, but I’m glad that we saw the ugly part of each other first.” He grew serious. “I still believe that we needed to be ready for each other, and we would not have been in another circumstance.”
She nodded against Poe’s chest. She knew that the time she and Poe spent getting to know each other. Their arguments were heated, but Poe was an adult who was capable of admitting when he was wrong, and she needed to make away with her distrust. She had found Poe to be funny and charming, very personable and caring, when she had injured her wrist, he had taken her to the hospital and stayed with her, making her laugh all the while. She found that Poe was a good man, a genuinely good man.
“And now we’re here.” She said. “Thanks to that poem.”
Poe had declared his attraction with a poem he had written for her, and much later, he had turned it into a song. A song he only sang for her. She still had the poem and the rose he’d given her.
“Yep, and because you said yes.”
“Because I fell in love with one hell of a wonderful man.”
“And who is that wonderful man?”
She could hear Poe’s teasing, “Oh, I don’t know. Maybe the one in whose arms I’m in?”
“That’s what I wanted to hear,” Poe said and kissed her nose again. “Because otherwise, I’d fight them.”
“And you’d win,” She agreed. How strange, that had that statement come from her ex, she would be shaking in fear, but with Poe, she trusted to simply mean that he would do his best to woo her, never raising a fist. Because Poe understood that she didn’t find that cute or endearing, she wanted a partner, not a keeper. That’s why she loved him. “Because I’d always pick you.”
“I love you too, Rey.”
She smiled, closed her eyes, and tucked herself beneath Poe’s chin. She was home, safe and loved.

So I talked to the manager. We have a slight issue,” Rey grimaced, wringing her hands. “We’re short of one room, and they said that they’re fully booked. No spares.” She sighed, throwing herself back onto the couch.
“What? How did that happen?” You asked her, taking a seat beside her.
“I may have miscounted the number of rooms we had to book,” Rey winced, “I mean, planning a wedding is so stressful, why is it so stressful?”
“Okay, okay. So what do we do now?” Guests were just slowly starting to arrive. You hoped Rey already had a solution to the problem.
“Um, Finn suggested, since you have a room to yourself, maybe you wouldn’t mind sharing with someone?” Then she quickly added, “No pressure, only if you’re comfortable, or I can find some other solution.”
You had been helping Finn and Rey plan their wedding for months. The beach resort you had booked for the wedding had been a popular one. Of course, they were fully booked. There was no other solution.
“Fine, I guess, if the other person is okay with it?” you shrugged.
“Oh, that’s great! You’re a true lifesaver,” Rey exclaimed.
“Who is it?” You asked.
“Um, about that,” she hesitated.
“Rey?” You narrowed your eyes at her. Who could it be that she’s so reluctant to tell you?
“It’s Poe,” No.
“Rey,” This was not happening. Share a fucking room? With Poe motherfriggin Dameron? Your fucking ex-boyfriend? Was Rey out of her goddamn mind?
“You can still back out! I’m not forcing you to do anything. It's just that, you know my grandfather. He’s going to make a big deal out of this if he finds out we have problems with the lodgings.” Rey launched into a full-on rant which you knew could last for several minutes if you didn’t stop her. ”Oh god, why did I even send Palpatine an invitation? I don’t even like him!”
“Rey, it's okay,” You sighed, interrupting her ramble. “I’ll do it,” Of course you’d do it. It was your best friend's wedding. You’d do just about anything to keep her happy.
This time she threw herself on top of you, tackling you with a hug. You had worked way too hard on this wedding for someone like Palpatine to spoil the event nitpicking at everything. If the price for that was to spend two nights in the same bed as your ex, you’d do it, for Finn and Rey.
“Great! Finn said Poe should be reaching in an hour or two,” Oh gods, that was fast. But it's better to get it over with right?
“Have you told him yet?” you asked her.
“Oh, not yet. I wanted to get your approval first,”
“What if he isn’t okay with it?”
“Nah, I don’t think that would be a problem,” She assured you.
—-
Poe hesitated before your door. Would it be too late to turn around and run? He was absolutely terrified of facing you. You agreed to share a room with him, so you didn’t hate him right?
Three short raps to the door then Poe waited for you to open it. He raked a hand through his hair, shorn to a length that would be considered neat. So unlike the unruly curls flopping onto his forehead and the full beard he was sporting just last week, dangerously toeing the line between sexy bed hair and caveman. It didn’t feel right to show up to a wedding like that. Especially since he was the best man.
Poe felt his chest tighten like a rope was tied around him, twisting tighter with each passing second until he felt like he couldn’t breathe anymore. The door swung open and the remaining air emptied from his lungs. There you stood, looking at him. It was you, really you.
Those eyes he hadn’t seen in more than a decade. It really shouldn’t have affected him that badly after so long but he had no control over the way his heart threw itself against his ribs over and over again. No control over his hands as he white-knuckled the backpack slung across one shoulder, trying to stop the shaking. He definitely shouldn’t have felt lightheaded just looking at you.
If he wasn’t so lost in his own emotions, he would’ve noticed that you weren’t doing so well yourself. You were pretty sure you were hearing the dial tone playing somewhere. Or was it just in your head? Your mouth worked but not a single word came out. What could you possibly say to him? It was Poe, but at the same time, he looked nothing like the boy you knew more than a decade ago.
The teenager who had so carelessly shrugged off the love you offered him, leaving everything behind in search of something better. But that was more than a decade ago and the man who stood before you had changed. Just like you were no more the eighteen-year-old too heartbroken to leave your room for weeks. No, you weren’t the same people anymore.
“I um, need to go check on the catering. M-make yourself comfortable,” You threw a forced smile at him, pushing past him before he can react.
No, you didn’t have to check on the catering, it wasn’t arriving until next morning, but you just threw the first excuse that popped up in your head before you were forced to make small talk with the last person you ever wanted to talk to.
Poe watched you almost sprint to the elevator, too dumbfounded to act. Your first words to him in years was you brushing him off. Good start.
He could’ve just asked Finn about you, but Poe felt like that would be prying. If you wanted him to know you would’ve told him, right? If you wanted him, you would’ve spoken to him. Poe sighed, walk into the room sitting on the edge of the bed, yanking off his boots and socks.
A lot had happened over the last decade, from joining the air force against his father’s wishes to watching his best friend get shot out of the sky and being honourably discharged, a broken man returning home with the horrors of battle and loss etched into his being. But Kes was there with open arms, ready to put his son back together, no matter how long it took. If he ever had the chance to raise a child of his own, Poe wanted to be exactly like his father.
There was once when Poe had thought too little of the simple routine of a normal life. How could anyone settle for doing the same thing over and over again for decades? But now he yearned for any type of normalcy in his own life.
He wondered if you had it. A normal life, going to work in the morning, returning to loving boyfriend at night. Date nights in the weekends, planning vacations to get away from it all. You came here alone, that was saying something, right? Or did you have someone waiting for you back home?
Poe should really be paying more attention to his surroundings, because he had been sitting on the edge of the bed, thinking, for five whole minutes before he realized it. He really should’ve seen this coming. The room was supposed to be for one person. So there was one queen-sized bed in the middle of the room, staring back at him, mocking him.
Why did he agree to this? Why did you agree to this? It wasn’t that he had any problems keeping his hands to himself. He’d more sooner bite his own fingers off than laying one on you without your consent.
There weren’t any other options for him. The only other furniture in the room was a table and a chair, and he sure as hell wasn’t going to let you sleep anywhere except the bed. He’d slept in worse places, a chair wasn’t that bad. Or perhaps he would forgo sleep for the night. He needed a shower, and maybe just a few minutes of sleep. Then he would get out of your way.
---
It was late when you decided to return to your room. It had been hours since the sun had set and your feet hurt from all the standing. You were more than ready to go back to your room and crash in that bed that looked so damn inviting.
There was only one problem. One that you couldn’t just ignore so easily, because you had to share a bed with said problem. In all honesty, you had no idea how you felt about Poe. Surely seeing him after all these years felt a tiny bit weird and very nerve-wracking, especially since the last words you had exchanged with him weren’t very kind. You didn’t hate Poe Dameron. That was for sure. But you had absolutely no idea how he felt about you.
You found an empty bench, facing the midnight sea, watching the waves crashing into the sand. A calm settled in your bones, the kind that made you wish you could be in that moment forever. No wonder people were willing to pay so much for a few nights here.
You could hear the soft strumming of a guitar from a distance and that caused your thoughts to propel straight towards the one person you were trying not to think of. The goofy little songs he would sing to you, strumming his guitar with deft fingers like he was born to make music.
Poe Dameron was born to do a lot of things. Apparently, loving you was not one of them.
You sighed heavily into the crisp night air. It was getting late. And as much as you loved it there, you still had to go to sleep soon if you wanted to be up in time the next morning.
You were surprised to see that the lights were still on in your room, but when you stepped inside you saw Poe curled up in a fetal position, fast asleep on one side of the bed. His curls looked a little damp and the smell of soap lingered in the air from the shower he took. A small mercy, at least you didn’t have to make small talk until the next morning.
Poe looked so calm and at peace when he was sleeping. You definitely didn’t share Poe’s sentiments about prying into your personal life. You were aware of everything that happened in his life since he left. Finn had told you about the state he was in when he returned after being discharged from the air force almost two years ago. You will never admit it but you still cared about him after all these years, you never stopped caring about him.
Silently, you padded around the room, careful not to wake him as you changed into your soft t-shirt and sleep shorts and slid into the bed beside him.
---
Poe jolted awake, shirt soaked in sweat, gasping for air as the image of a blazing cockpit remained seared into the back of his eyes. The disorienting darkness wasn’t helping in the least as his vision blurred with tears. The only thing he could feel was a warm hand on his chest and another on his face. All he could hear was the ringing in his ears and a voice calling out his name in the distance like he was miles away.
The only light was coming from the glass balcony doors. It took Poe a few long seconds to recognize where he was. He flattened his palms on top of the sheets, the soft cotton cool and smooth beneath his palms, as he forced air into his burning lungs.
He wasn’t there anymore, he was safe.
“Poe?” your voice came clearer as you smoothed the tears off his face. Your face came into view above him in the dark, eyebrows pulled together in worry. Poe felt your fingers in his hair, running through the damp strands fingernails lightly scraping his scalp. You didn’t realize it, but that helped more than anything to ground him as the panic finally released its hold on him.
“I'm okay,” Poe croaked out when he felt like he could breathe again, but his whole body still felt tense. He wasn’t okay by any means, his hands still shook when you handed him a water bottle from your side table, but at least the worst was over. Poe pulled himself up by his wobbling arms, sitting against the headboard.
“Nightmare?” your voice cut through the heavy silence in the room as you joined him. He nodded, head downcast, staring at the bottle in his hands. “Wanna talk about it?” Poe looks at you like that was the last thing he ever expected you to say to him. You were offering to help him? After what he did to you? Sure, that was years ago, he was young and dumb, but you two never really had the chance to talk about it. He was under the impression that you hated him, he surely deserved it.
But you didn’t look like you hated him and he couldn’t help but notice how adorable you looked with your hair all mused up, swaddled in an oversize t-shirt. The urge to wrap his arms around you, lay his head on your chest and never let go threatened to swallow him whole. How could he have been so stupid to ever let you go?
You tilted your head to the side in question as the silence stretched between you. Oh god, he had been staring the whole time. He looked away from you, clearing his throat.
“No, not really,” he replied. He’d done enough talking, he just wanted to forget about it. Going back to sleep was definitely not an option and he didn’t want to keep you awake any longer. “Sorry I woke you up, you should go back to sleep,” his voice was barely a whisper by the end of the sentence. He was just so tired.
“It's okay,” you settled back into your side of the bed but Poe made no move like he had any intention to go back to sleep. “You’re not going back to sleep?” you ask.
“No, I don’t think so,” He answered truthfully. He didn’t want to risk getting pulled into another nightmare. The room fell silent again, the only sound the barely audible distant crashing of waves. Suddenly the thought of you going back to sleep and leaving him alone with his thoughts didn’t seem so ideal. Poe felt his chest constrict in barely contained panic when you spoke.
“How have you been, Poe?” You quietly asked in the dark, almost like you didn’t expect a response from him. Poe swallowed the lump in his throat and burrowed deeper into the covers until the two of you laid facing each other.
“Not too bad,” he shrugged, his voice barely holding as he spoke, but he carried on nevertheless. “What about you?”
“Same, I guess,” you replied. Poe could make out your eyes glinting in the dark, suddenly thrown back into his childhood bedroom when you would sneak in late at night. When you were best friends, you’d spend the night in each other’s company chatting and laughing in hushed tones, careful not to wake up his father. Then you grew older and talking turned to other activities. If Kes knew, he never spoke of it.
“How is Kes doing?” you asked as if you were thinking the same thing. An admittedly large part of him hoped you were. Those memories got him through so many nights when he was bunking with his squadmates but never felt more alone. They weren’t easy to forget. You weren’t easy to forget.
“He’s doing fine. Great, actually,” The thought of his father made him smile. Maybe that was your ploy. “You know, he actually managed to finish that motorcycle restoration he was working on. A few years ago, but he wouldn’t let me touch it,” That made you chuckle, and oh how he missed that sound.
“He still doesn’t trust you after you broke the taillight,” you recounted.
“It was an accident, for goodness sake,”
Silence slowly took hold again as your laughter died down, and it hit you more heavily than ever. You missed Poe so much. Sure, he hurt you when he up and left so easily as if you meant next to nothing to him, but he meant everything to you. You shouldn’t have let the bitterness and resentment get the best of you. You missed so much of his life.
“Mom’s sickness got worse after I graduated,” you spoke again. “I couldn’t stay in the house after she died so I sold it. And college wasn’t great either, I almost dropped out,”
You shrugged as though it wasn’t a big deal. It couldn’t have been easy moving to a different state all on your own, with no one to lean on, no one to go to for help. At least you had Finn and Rey.
“But things worked out, and everything is okay now,” you smiled at him. Poe reached out and took your hand in his, shuffling closer to you.
“I’m sorry,” he whispered. The words felt too heavy, too shameful to even say out loud.
“For what?” You asked.
“I should’ve been there,”
“Poe,” you sighed. “You know, I was so upset after you left, I refused to even talk about you for like almost a year after that,” He looked like he was going to interrupt with another apology but you stopped him. “Senior year was hell after you graduated, even with Finn and Rey right there. But you know what? I understood why you wanted to leave so desperately.” Oh? This wasn’t where he expected this to go but he let you continue anyways.
“I mean, it was a great place to grow up and all but there really wasn’t any future there. I saw it when I finally graduated the year after. I’m not saying I supported your decision to just throw away everything and leave so suddenly like that. It’s just that, neither of us was mature enough to handle that decision properly,” Poe nodded slowly. Looking back, there were so many things he would change if he could. You were right, you were both so young and dumb.
“You know how sometimes you feel like if you don’t do take an opportunity when its right there, you’ll never see it again? That’s what it felt like,” He sighed. “I just really wanted to follow mom’s footsteps so badly. Dad wasn’t too thrilled either. He said I should take more time to think about something so life-altering,”
Did he regret it? The question hung heavily in the air between the two of you, lying on the tip of your tongue, rattling around his head and not for the first time. Some part of him didn’t want to answer.
He didn’t want to regret it. Didn’t want to voice out that the biggest ambition of his life was the reason he laid there a broken shell of a man in many ways. But one thing he knew was that if he hadn’t chased after that desire, if he had let himself take the ‘safe’ option, he would’ve hated himself.
I missed you. Those three words he held back. What right did he have to say it when he was the one that left when he was the one to cause you so much hurt?
“Can we just-” You hesitated. Was it too much to ask for? “Can we just be friends again?” You asked meekly.
Just a few hours ago, he was under the impression that you wanted nothing to do with him. He was still reeling from the fact that you even considered talking to him. You wanted to be friends again? There was nothing more he wanted.
“Yeah, okay,” he replied, very eloquently.
---
Poe woke up to the soft scent of flowers. And then he realized that it was because his face was buried in your hair and he was smelling your shampoo. Poe rubbed the remaining dregs of sleep from his eyes as he fully awoke to you laying almost completely on top of him.
Your form gently rose and fell with every breath you took. Poe considered shifting away from you before you woke up but your arms were tightly wound around him and your weight was settled over him, so warm and soft. He didn’t want to move.
Shit, how did you two end up like this? The last thing he remembered was talking to you, catching up on the decade he had left you behind for. Did you fall asleep like this? How were you going to react to it? He sure as hell didn’t want to make you feel uncomfortable. But the way your face was buried in the crook of his neck gave him the impression that you weren’t exactly uncomfortable.
He was probably thinking too much about it. He was just thinking that he should go back to sleep and deal with it when you wake up when you slowly stirred awake. Poe froze as you lifted your head and blinked at him blearily.
“Mornin’” you rasped before you realize the position you were in. You were so close to him, you could feel his breath fanning against your cheek and your face heated.
“Good morning, sweetheart,” The pet name earned a soft, sleepy smile from you which sent his heart violently thundering in his chest. Hopefully, you didn’t hear it.
You planted a palm on the mattress beside his head, trying to lift yourself off him, but the only thing you managed to do was position yourself right above him as if your previous position wasn’t awkward enough.
You felt Poe’s hands on your hips steadying you on top of him as your elbow came down on the other side of his head, unintentionally caging him under you. Your mind was too sluggish to let you move, you decided, because you stayed there hovering above him unable to move.
Or maybe it was because he was looking at you like that. The heat in eyes robbed the oxygen from your lungs and you watched his throat bob as his grip on your waist became just a fraction harder. You should have moved but you felt frozen in place. He was so close. So close that you could kiss him if you tilted your head just a little-
The shrill sound of your alarm popped the small bubble the two of you found yourselves in. You jolted away from him, pawing at the side table as you reached to grab your phone.
The previous tension melted into an awkward silence as you set your phone back onto the side table. Did you almost kiss him? Christ, what were you thinking? Poe slowly sat up beside you.
“Um, sorry I kept you up for so long last night,” he gave you a small sheepish smile.
“No, it’s not a problem. I’ll be fine,” you assured him. “I um, I should go get ready,” you awkwardly gestured before getting out of the bed.
You had a long day ahead of you.

“ your eyes always look so lost. ” (for Nev)
Tumblr media
Nev was taken off guard by Poe's words. His eyes shifting over to the male -- unknowingly sporting the look at Poe had just talked about.
"They do? I mean ... I guess I'm just always stuck in my own head." Something resembling a smile falls onto his features, "So maybe that's why?"

Pairing: Ben solo/Kylo Ren X reader
Warnings: fluff! Smut! This is Part 10 to a series!
Summery: Ben/Kylo and (y/n) grow together in ways they didn’t know they could anymore.

“He hasn’t left her side.” Poe says as he looked into the room where (y/n) laid recovering, Ben was with her the whole time. After she woke up on Mandalore she didn’t last long after, falling back into a deep sleep as soon as they got to the raddus. Anaka knew something was wrong and she couldn’t do anything, she was just a baby. But Ben laid her with her mother every night to try and soothe the child. Nothing he did really helped, and he didn’t want to use the force on his child. So Leia started taking care of her while (y/n) recovered. It had been a few weeks since then and she finally woke up, late at night seeing Ben asleep with his head on the bed beside her.
She smiled at him and gently ran her fingers threw his hair, he groaned at the feeling but quickly registered what was happening and looking up at her, his eyes watery and he hugged her tightly.
“Ben...” she said and hugged back gently.
“I’m so sorry, I just, I should have nev-“
“Ben.. I understand.” She said as he moved to look at her, her hand rested on his cheek. “Where’s Anaka?” She asked looking around the room.
“Leia has her, it’s late.” He said and she looked back at him wiping away the tears that left his cheeks.
“Don’t cry.” She said watching him.
“I almost lost you, and it was my fault, (y/n)...”
“Ben... I still love you.” She said leaning up kissing him.
“You look stunning...” a voice behind her said causing her to turn and look at him seeing Hux.
“Emperor Hux.” She bowed your jim and he chuckled.
“You do not need to bow to me on your wedding day.” He said walking over to her.
“What are you doing here?” She asked standing looking up at him, he reached behind her picking up the veil.
“Turn around.” He said and she listened as she turned she saw herself in the mirror, she was stunning. His hands came up and gently placed the veil into her hair completing the look. The dress she wore was fitted until it hit her lower waist, then it flowed freely. It was puffy like a ball gown but elegant like an evening gown, off the shoulder with no pattern and the only thing that stuck out on it was the beaded belt that looked like a thousand stars placed around her waist.
“You truly are the most beautiful creature in the galaxy...” he said smoothing the veil into place. It made her blush and turn back to him, she was going to speak but a knock came from the door. She looked at Hux and he nodded.
“Come in.” She said and the door opened showing Holdo. She smiled seeing her younger sister but then she saw Hux and pulled the blaster on her side. “No dont!” (Y/n) said stepping in front of him.
“Why is he here?” Holdo said looking at her.
“I come to wish her well, after all she is my Ex-Wife Holdo...” Hux said calmly from behind the bride.
“Lower the blaster, please.” She asked calmly and her sister lowered it looking at her.
“Everything’s ready...” she said.
The wedding went smoothly, Ben almost cried seeing (y/n) walk down the isle, she walked down with Anaka by her side, the little 2 year old holding her mothers hand as she threw out flowers. She was dressed in a light blue with her hair done in braids. She was just as gorgeous as her mother, with the dark hair of her father, and the blue eyes of her grandfather. Ben however wore an all black suit, reminding her of when she was Kylo but from the time they’ve been together she knew it was ben, she could see the love In his eyes.
After the ceremony the party was large and long, tiring. Anaka fell asleep on Bens lap warming his heart. (Y/n) leaned over kissing his cheek.
“Let’s get her to bed.” She said smiling and helping him stand without waking her. Slipping away from the party and to her room he put his daughter to bed. (Y/n) stood at the door smiling at him as he was tucking her in.
“She’s a daddy’s girl...” she said quietly as he walked back over to her placing his hands on her waist and kissing her.
“She’s my princess.” He said kissing his new wife. “And you are my queen.” She smiled and moved her hands up to the collar of his shirt and pulled him with her to there room.
“You should prove that to me, Mr.solo.” He smirked at her comment and closed the door behind them as they entered the room.
“Of course, mrs.solo” he kissed her sliding his hands down her legs picking her up, it’s easy since she changed into a shorter dress after the ceremony. “How much does this dress mean to you?”he asked as her back hit the wall, he legs wrapped around his waist tightly.
“Not much wh-“ she was cut off by him tearing it open exposing her and her white lace under it, he smirked kissing her lips briefly.
“You are still as beautiful as the day I met you.” He moaned out his voice deep and filled with need as his lips met her neck kissing and sucking at her skin. The soft whimpers that fell from her mouth only drove his need for her deeper.
Her hands moved down his chest and to the buttons of his shirt, undoing each of them quickly before sliding it off his shoulders so her small hands could roam his chest freely.
“Ben...” she let out when his mouth found her left nipple, she quickly hugged on his hair causing him to moan against her sending vibrations threw her. He head fell back against the wall as her hips pushed against his feeling his hardened cock against her clothed core. He smirked looking up at her kissing back up her chest making her look back at him.
“Eager are we?” He said kissing her lips before wrapping his hands around her back.
“I’ve missed you,” she said before biting his lip as he moved her off the wall and over to the bed laying her back gently.
“I’ve missed you too...” he said kissing her passionately, beating up quickly as she undid his pants, he took the hint and stood stripping down, she sat up taking off the remainder of her clothes up, before standing on her knees at the end of the bed. Her hands ran up his chest pulling him into a kiss as his hands found her ass squeezing and pulling at the plump flesh. Her right hand moved down gently grabbing his hard cock pumping it teasingly. He growled against her lips and pushed her back on the bed climbing over her.
“Tell me what you want...” he said deeply into her ear as he tease her clit with his cock, she was soaking and he was loving everything minute of it. He loved every minute of being able to hold her in his arms and know that she wasn’t going anywhere, she was his now, and he was hers.
“I want you, all of you” she said kissing him as he thrust into her completely causing her to moan into his mouth and her nails to latch onto his back. “Ben!” She yelled out but it was muffled by his lips, he started thrusting into her slowly, his lips moving down from her lips, to her jaw, to her neck and collar bone, leaving light marks on her skin.
He started to set a quicker pace, slide in and out of her with ease. Stretching her tight walls causing her to go into a frenzy of moans and whimpers. She could already feel her first orgasm coming to her as she clenched around him tightly, feeling the hot pleasure run threw her. His name fell from her lips like a prayer as she arched her back and came on to him.
“Yes, that’s it my queen, let me feel what I do to you...” he painted as he continued. His words sparked something in her and she flipped them quickly so she was onto of him, she began grinding back down onto him. Her hands using his chest as support as his found her hips and guided her up and down on his cock.
Still sensitive from her last orgasm she could feel her second coming quickly, her legs began to shake from the immense orgasm that followed. Her walls tightened around him as she fell onto his chest, his arms wrapped around her as he thrusted into her cumming deep inside her, coating her insides with his seed.
“Gods I’m in love with you.” He said kissing her temple. She hummed in response. She was tired and he could tell, he was too.
“I love you too, Mr.Solo.”
“I love you more, Mrs.Solo...” he smiled closing his eyes.
She walked into the bedroom looking at her husband who looked up at her concerned. He could see she had a worried expression on her face so he stood up walking over to her.
“What is it?” He asked looking down at her.
“Where’s Anaka?” She asked looking at him,
“She’s out on the balcony why?” He asked and followed her as she quickly went out to the large balcony of there large home seeing Anaka fighting with a lightsaber, but what worried her most was the other child.
“Landon Luke Solo!” She said and both of the children stopped what they were doing and dropped the lightsabers onto the marbled floor of the balcony. The 6 year old looked down at the dark lightsaber he had.
“Sorry mom.” He said looking up at her when she walked over to him picking up her lightsaber. Then she looked at Anaka holding her hand out for the lightsaber, somewhat shocked when the little girl handed her Kylo Ren’s lightsaber.
“Where did you get this?” She asked looking at her kids. They both just pointed each other. Causing Ben to laugh behind her. She rolled her eyes and looked at him.
“This is serious Ben!” She said looking at her husband. He stopped and sighed looking at his kids, he squatted down in front of them taking there hands.
“I know she’s scary, but she means well... now where did you get the lightsabers?” He asked being calm with them causing (y/n) to cross her arms.
“I found them...” Anaka admitted playing with the end of her dress. Ben nodded and looked back at the lightsaber that (y/n) now held, the memories flooded his head but he focused on the task at hand as he looked back at Anaka. “These are very dangerous weapons, and though you both are extremely gifted you are not ready for lightsabers. Do you understand?” He said looking at them and they nodded before he messed up there hair. “Now go play.”
He stood back up looking at his wife taking the black lightsaber from her hand leaving her with the silver one. The look In his eyes as he looked at the lightsaber sent chills down (y/n)’s spine, quickly grabbing it from him and moving into the house, he followed after her quickly realizing what he had done.
“Baby, wait.” He said wrapping his hand around her wrist gently pulling her back to him, being careful with her. “It’s not like that...” he said and she quickly quipped back.
“Then what was it, what were you thinking?” She asked scared, she didn’t want Kylo Ren back, she didn’t want the dark side to tante her family again.
“I remembered what I did to you...” he said moving his hand to go under her shirt, running over the small bump of her belly. “I almost took away this ability, “ he said falling down to his knees lifting her shirt and kissing her 3 months pregnant belly. “I almost ruined everything with that weapon, and you still want me here, you still want to give me children after what I did...” he rested his forehead against her stomach smiling like the life force insider could see her. “Gods I don’t deserve you...” he whispered but she heard it.
She ran her fingers threw his hair letting him rest his head there, “I’ll always love you, no matter who you are... I want you to know that...” she smiled and moved his head making him look up at her. “I prefer to have you, to have Ben, but if you fall back to the dark side I won’t hesitate to follow you. She smiled leaving one last comment.
“To the end of the line.”

Cold Anger
Read on AO3
When it came time to negotiate terms of the First Order's surrender, Finn hadn't known what to expect. If he was being honest, he didn't think he'd see anything like this in his lifetime. Joining the Resistance as a full-fledged member, he truly believed that he might die before seeing the end of the war, but hoped his actions were enough to push their side closer to victory.
As he embraced both Rey and Poe, Finn couldn't believe how incredibly lucky he was. There were those who had lost so much in the fight. And while he had to sacrifice much on his own, he was more than thankful that his life and his friends weren't included in that.
Now came the less bombastic but still very much terrifying part - diplomacy. In addition to Kylo Ren, now posthumously referred to Ben (not that he was spoken about much), Hux, Palpatine, and Snoke, a significant number of First Order higher ups were dead. The same was obviously true for the Resistance. And while both sides still had officers trained in these political matters, Finn, Poe, and Rey found themselves at these tables often.
Finn had expected Poe to be much more intense at these proceedings, given not only his history fighting these men but his fly-off-the-handle personality in general. But his love surprised him with his cool attitude and formality.
It was Rey he had to worry about.
"Promise me that you wont start any fights this time", he said as he straightened her robes.
"Fine, I promise I wont start any fights", she replied, not meeting his eyes.
"Thank you."
"...I will finish them though."
Finn let out a breath through his nose and Rey looked like she might start a fight with him now but they were interrupted by Poe knocking on wall next to the open door.
"You guys ready?"
"As we'll ever be", Finn said.
Poe crossed the room with his arms open. "You look great."
"I look the same as I always do", Finn rolled his eyes but smiled anyway and met Poe halfway.
"I know."
Rey was used to their PDA by not and barely batted an eye when they kissed. She was mentally squaring up anyway. For the first time, people had the upper hand on a system that had oppressed them. And yet still those that benefited from the system wanted to sneer down their noses at her. They needed to be put in their place and that's exactly what she set out to do.
When their entourage finally met and sat down with the delegation, Rey kept her expression neutral. She would keep her word. She wasn't going to start anything. But the moment anyone said anything she didn't like, she'd let it be known.
"In regards to what discussed in our last meeting..."
They went over old business first, which had mostly been talking about what to do about the places more recently conquered by the First Order, places they could more easily detach from. Then they got to new business, which was part of the reason Finn had made sure to talk to Rey today about her behavior. Under the table, Finn grabbed Poe's hand and squeezed it.
It was time to demand that the First Order demilitarize. And that meant discussing the fates of the stormtroopers under them. There was a rise in tension as that demand was reached and that's when the arguments began. Rey let Finn and Poe handle most of the talking. Not only was this Finn's personal battle, he'd know better than any of them what should be done with the troops. As the conversations continued though she felt the heat rise in her. She tried to find her center and focus instead on the Force.
It did calm her somewhat. And for a moment the voices muffled out. It was probably irresponsible of her to do so, but tuning them out was really the only way she was going to get through this without igniting her saber. And then her hearing returned in sharp focus at one word.
"...the livestock."
Rey's eyes narrowed and she saw that word being directed towards Finn and she jumped from her seat. Finn tried to make a grab for her but she was too fast as she leapt to the other side of the table and pointed her lightsaber at the man who dared utter that word.
"You steal children from their homes, raise them as weapons, and you have the nerve to compare them to animals?!", she roared. "I'll show you who the real beast is!"
"REY!", Poe shouted.
"WHAT?!", she shouted back, turning to look at him.
He was standing, although unlike her he was still on the floor. His eyes were stern. Finn's were looking at her like he didn't know what she'd do. Rey looked back at the agents of the First Order and most of them were cowering in their seats. And that fear felt good. And then she felt a crushing wave of cold at that realization.
She deactivated her lightsaber and got off the table, running from the room.
When she heard someone coming after her, she had thought it'd be Finn. But when she finally stopped down the hall, she saw that it was Poe. And somehow that made her feel worse. She was used to Finn following her, trying to know what she was doing or telling her that he was worried about her. She still wasn't entirely sure how to handle Poe.
"Are you going to tell me that I shouldn't have done that?"
"I'm not your dad. I can't tell you what you should or shouldn't do", Poe said. "But I have to ask if you think that was smart."
"They just! They're so! They make me so SO angry! They deserve to be punished for what they've done. And we're just letting them sit here and talk with us."
Poe leaned against a wall. "You're right. They're absolute garbage. And I think they should be burned like it. But this is what it means to be a just society."
"You hate them just as much as I do", Rey said. It wasn't that long ago that Poe shot them down with glee. They had hurt him and his people. "How can you sit there so calmly? Why don't you ever yell at them?"
Rey had never felt so tempted by the anger that led to the dark side than when she had to speak to these men who knew nothing of struggle or sacrifice or pain. And that scared her. What if anger was all she had in her?
"It's not easy", Poe said. "It's probably harder for you. I can't choke someone from ten feet away."
"I would nev-", Rey interrupted herself when she realized that wasn't true. She hadn't used the Force like that yet, but it would've been so easy to. And she felt colder.
"Do you know how easy it would be to organize a strike right now and take out First Order leaders right at their homes?", Poe said. Now that the rest of the galaxy was backing them up, he had a large number of ships and pilots not just under his command but would do a favor if he asked. "Abusing our power makes us no better than them."
"What if I don't want to be better?"
"You have to, Master Jedi", Poe said.
"I'm not a-"
"Maybe not yet. But someday we're gonna have people looking back on the things we did when we were in charge. These guys are all going to get what's coming to them. I'll dedicate my life to make sure of it", Poe said, crossing his arms. "Even if that means giving each of them a trial and listing each and every one of their crimes for the whole universe to hear."
Rey looked at him, uncertain. "You think they'll go through with something like that?"
"They have to. Otherwise they're fugitives of the law", Poe grinned. "And jurisdiction can get pretty loose on that."
She let out a long sigh. "I feel bad for leaving Finn to deal with them on his own."
"He can handle himself. If I were you, I'd worry more about the lecture I'm going to get afterward."
"You don't really think he will, do you?" Rey felt a different kind of ice in her veins.
Poe shrugged. "I'd try and compliment his hair or something before the meeting is over though."
The two of them returned to the room. Rey's righteous anger hadn't gone anywhere, but she no longer felt the need to skewer any of these men. Being humiliated publicly and imprisoned or exiled or possibly executed would be much more fitting.

Sorry for the long post giving some background
Link to original post at bottom
Alright so Jacen is not a fan of danger he hates the idea of it he has seen what danger can do to people (I.e. his family) he also has this habit of being cautious of everyone ( left over habit from growing up as a child of a well known general) but Jacen is also really sick of people just seeing him as General Syndulla’s kid. (Baisically he’s this really moody kid that definitely has some pent up issues)
This leads to him going of on his own when he can, in his own ship ( the Spirt) witch he practically built from scratch without his mother’s approval. Where does he go you may ask? Well at first it’s to known places like Ryloth to visit grandpa because if anyone can out match mama it’s grandpa. Then to Lira San to see uncle Zeb and Kallus. Then one day he accidentally finds another inhabited planet in the unknown regions. A Small species still getting started with there own little language but they welcome him with open arms and for once Jacen can’t hear all the voices that usually surrounds people. He decides that eventually he does want to come back but his hyperdrive is slightly damaged and he needs to save the coordination of the planet when he remembers what Luke Skywalker used to say about holocrons and kyber Crystals.
Now Jacen doesn’t have his fathers holocron... at least not anymore ( he accidentally broke it when he was about 5) but he still has his fathers kyber crystal so he ends up modifying his hyperdrive to engrave the data into the kyber crystal. (He’s like 15) And he decides frick it I’m going to map the unknown regions. He doesn’t even process that it might be dangerous but He does have the skills to do it and He don’t need to tell anyone.
So he starts mapping in his spare time. Meanwhile Jacens fights with his mother start becoming more frequent at first it’s about the Spirit, then bringing her father into it and ending with her completely freaking out when she finds out he’s been taking trips to Lira San and not just there and back. A usual trip being 2-3 days to and from and Jacen spending weeks out there by himself. In the span of 2 years Jacen and Hera’s relationship all but collapses. Hera just wants to protect her baby and Jacen wants people to see him not Syndulla’s kid or the son of a Jedi because he’s not like that. He’s also like practically an adult (17)
Except he is like that because of his early life on the run and practically flying since he could walk Jacen has developed two force abilities Truth hearing and Pre-Congnition. Otherwise Jacen has almost completely cut himself from the force. Why? His mother. Yes Jacen resents her and everything she stand for but she is still his mother and can tell when she is hurting ESPECIALLY when the force is brought up.
Anyway Hera finds out about the map and completely loses it and Jacen pretty much says Kriff this I’m done and takes the Spirit and runs.
Now he’s learned two things from being out in the unknown. 1) Never tell anyone you meet your full name ( cause even out here Syndulla is definitely known ( Chiss aren’t easily defeated you know))and 2) stay away from the giant warships. He’s herd they are protectors but he’s also herd they are destroyers, and with growing up with the empire and being aware of the remanants he can believe both and will not risk it. He’s seen them a few times but they have never really been interested in his little 2 person ship. So after the Pirate incident with edu he’s really not sure how to respond to being brought aboard one. One things for sure though he has already broken both rules (after 2 years) but thankfully he negated his last name so if Grand Admiral Thrawn is still alive he won’t be recognized.
Continuation part 1 on this post, more to come.

A small FinnRose drabble no one asked for.
There was no home when one joined a revolution. In all of the sacrifices people made when they decided to dedicate their lives to a movement, to destroying once and for all the forces of oppression in the galaxy, that was the first thing to go. No matter what anyone else had or lost, that was the one thing they all shared. No home.
The second thing one lost was friends. Finn told himself he had lost count of how many friends he had lost–
Almost everyone he had known at one point of another. Poe had been the first. A hot-shot pilot – of course he had been the first. Too bad he hadn’t been the last. That particular trail of devastations ended with the worst, the most heart-wrenching blow imaginable.
It had been nearly two months since Exegol, and all the death that had brought them. Lando, Janna and the rest of the defecting stormtroopers – nearly every single person under his command.
Rey.
All dead.
Dead for a cause, but still dead.
Gone.
Gone, gone, gone–
Except Rose.
Dear, dear Rose. Tiny, strong, sweet Rose. His one unbroken thread. The only one not cut down by some cruel twist of fate.
At least – not yet.
In hindsight, Finn thanked the Force that General Organa had the foresight to establish Rose in a more intelligence-oriented position. If she hadn’t, if Rose had gone to Exegol like the rest of them – well, he knew how it would have ended for her.
It was essential – so, entirely imperative – that she not be allowed to endanger herself. Not like that. Not ever, if Finn had any say. Not when they had nothing left but each other.
Which was why the words being spoken to him held no meaning the first time he heard them. Fresh off a scouting mission, tired, hungry, and sore, Finn wanted nothing more than to see Rose and then collapse onto a cot. The operator in front of him might as well have speaking Wookie.
Finn shook his head. “Say that again.”
“Tico has been on assignment for the last few cycles.”
He stared. “What kind of assignment?”
The operator shrugged, then turned away. Bile rose in the back of Finn’s throat. Forget the damn cot.
There was never a time – not since Rey, at least – that he would not have died for his friends. That he would not jump in front of any of the people who mattered to him and taken a blaster bolt for them. He would not hesitate. No regrets.
But this–
This felt like turning and running away, abandoning his friends only to be shot in the back anyway.
He felt ill.
And he continued to feel ill; when he scoured the base and could not find Rose, when he lay awake each night, when he had to wait nearly a week – a week – to catch sight of an old ship slip through the atmosphere.
Rose was on that ship. Finn knew she was, because she had to be.
It seemed to take ages to land. The entire time, Finn paced. He placed his hands on his hips, then crossed them, then placed them on his hips again. He felt like a reactor about to burst.
And then he saw her.
Or – the back of her head, at least. Those two precious twists of her dark hair. Unharmed.
She shuffled out of the shuttle with two other Resistance fighters. Each of them were covered head-to-toe in dirt. Force only knew what they had been doing. Finn was halfway across the landing area, but he could still the how slowly Rose moved.
“Rose,” he called, “Rose.”
She did not hear him, at first. So he called again, and again, and again–
One of the ship workers tapped her on the shoulder and pointed. She turned.
A smile was already splitting her face. She opened her mouth, but the only thing that came out was a grunt as Finn tackled her. He wrapped her as tightly in his arms as was humanly possible, so tight that she started gasping and trying to wriggle out of his grasp.
“Finn–Finn, I can’t–” she half-gasped, “–breathe”
“How could you do that?” He demanded, ignoring her. Irritation started to catch up with the overwhelming feeling of relief. “We talked about this, you can’t just do that.”
“No, you talked about it. I never promised.” She continued to struggle against him. He gave up and let her go.
His hands were immediately on his hips. “Rose.”
She huffed, her own hands fisting at her hips. A perfect mirror. “Finn.”
“You could have died.”
“So could you, every time I let you fly off.”
His nostrils flared. “That’s different.”
“How?” She scoffed.
“Because,” he started, then cut himself off. What was he going to tell her, that he had lost too much? That she was all he had left? She already knew that. She had lost everyone else, too.
He forgot, sometimes, that he was all she had left.
It didn’t make things any easier.
She must have read something in his expression, because she dropped her hands and moved to hug him again. He readily returned the embrace.
“Oh, Finn,” she sighed into his chest. She sounded tired.
Finn took a moment just to feel her breathe against him. Savoring the in-and-out of her ribs. Small and strong. He tightened his hold, just a little. “I hate this,” he admitted into her hair. “I just want you safe.”
He felt her take a deep breath.
“I want you safe, too. I want–” But she didn’t finish her thought.
After a moment, he pressed a kiss on her temple. Her fingers dug into his jacket.
