okay here's my big tank plan after doing a bunch of research this morning:
a small school of cherry barbs, between 6 and 9. a small school of harlequin rasboras, 6 total. either a dwarf or a honey gourami as a "statement fish". pom pom crabs, 2-3, depending on whether i can get them in town or if i have to order them from aquatic arts. probably some netrite snails for algae. sand substrate, probably still with fake plants.

I know it’s probably a pest snail but I have a soft spot for snails and I couldn’t kill him. I’m hoping she’ll leave him alone after a bit. Or he can hide from her.

I need opinions
I have a 5 gal tank with my betta and a mystery snail but I want to get something else. Should I get a couple shrimps or should I get a nerite snail?

What tank makes can you have for a betta in a 5 gallon tank? He’s not aggressive as I already have one netrite snail with him and he doesn’t even pay attention to it. Can I put in some more nerite snails or cherry shrimp?
Hi, there. :)
From everything I’ve heard, it seems like it’s best to only have one Nerite for a 5G. However, yes, you can do some cherry shrimp, as long as you have lots of cover for them since they can become snacks for bettas.

would a king betta, 2 netrite snails, and 1 mystery snail be ok for a 20 gallon?
Yeah that would be fine!

Pretty boy Betta Ross! Excuse the algae. I'm doing water changes but really the bare minimum. Depression yo! Plus this tank sits in front of a window so it's like none stop. But I'll get it under control one day! I'm half minded to get a netrite snail for this tank. I mean I know they are poop machines and not a solution. But they are pretty and someone might as well benefit from the algae.

This snail just showed up in my aquarium. He's flat on one side, almost see through Amber colored with speckles and definitely not my netrite or mystery snail. Does anyone know what he is?

Go given my best go at counting, I have 13-14 guppy fry. I’m super pumped, that means I don’t have to cull any of them before they reach adulthood! My 20g is currently extremely under stocked, I have seven guppies, five cherry shrimp and one netrite snail in there so this round of babies can just grow up and get released back into the main tank.

Fishblr/snailblr help needed again
Okay so one of my lil netrite snails is alive but hasn’t moved in about a week. I know he’s alive because he doesn’t have that smell and his trapdoor shuts when I touch him. I’m worried he’s gonna die and spike the ammonia while I’m at work one day. The betta and the other netrite in the tank is doing just fine. Water parameters pictured below

If you want to get a bunch of snails but don’t want babies, get netrite snails! In addition to not being able to reproduce asexually like a lot of other snails, they won’t reproduce in freshwater! They will lay eggs sometimes (and almost solely on driftwood that I’ve seen), but nothing will hatch as baby snails need brackish water to hatch and survive.
i have an empty 5.5 gallon tank and i'm thinking in making it a snails only tank because they're nice and cute, what do you think?? :D the problem is that i don't know that much about snail care, do you have any tips?? (sorry if i'm bothering)
Not bothering at all!! I’m always excited to answer questions! I think my friend @slimeysnailfriends may be able to help you more, but I’ll try my best!
Food: Most aquatic snails like plants and algae. You can also get algae wafers and I’ll link a recipe for snello here! But it also depends on the kind of snail you get, they may have different needs so do your research on them if you’re getting a specific breed.
Snails themselves: I wouldn’t get too many. Most snails are hermaphrodites which means they have both female and male reproductive organs, so they can breed like bunnies. Snails (of all kinds) are also smarter than we think, and they’re escape artists. Make sure you have a lid for your tank without any holes/spaces/etc they might be able to fit through.
Habitat: As I said in “food,” your snails will like to bunch on some plants - so get some substrate which your plants can live in. Their habitat will also need to be cleaned regularly; so make sure they have clean water, but I’d be wary of removing any algae (unless it’s pretty bad) since its one of their food sources.
Water (habitat:) Treat any water you get for your snails accordingly to their needs (freshwater or saltwater? Remember to treat any water from the tap too.)
If I got anything wrong or anyone would like to add anything, please do! As I said before I’m no snail expert.
