Have I posted my monstrous snail on here yet? My sister gifted me a very small baby mystery snail, and all of hers were fairly small so I assumed mine would grow to be about an inch or so like hers... Nope!

Meet Namira, named after the daedric prince of repulsive creatures lol. They just kept growing and are now living in my 30 gal with the cories, kubotai, shrimp and nerites.

The first pic is of them extending their breathing tube cause I turned on the light and spooked them I think lol. Second is them making a funnel and eating the duck weed which I definitely won't complain about

These had other, fancier plants in them, but I was a dumb dumb and did not keep up with water changes during the cycling. However, Anacharis (Egeria Densa, Brazilian waterweed) works just fine in there! Mainly for the reasons it's very invasive 🙃

But it's putting down roots and keeping the water clean, so as long as I trim it, the snails seem happy. It may prevent the growth of some kinds of algae though, so replacing it with something else in the future may still happen.

The snails are also much happier without fish biting their antennas down to nubbins QuQ

Meet severus the snail! Yes I am that big of a snape fan lol. I found him by mistake by a lake bank after fishing and I thought he was just a empty shell. But I decided to bring him home and we got him his own lil tank. He's a very active dude for being definitely max size for his species and hasn't stopped moving since around 8 or 9 lol. He looks black out of water as indicated by the one picture and that's one of the reasons I chose the name for him other than being a stan of snape. Anyhow I love the dude
