Hello! So sorry if this is a useless request. Just gathered the courage to give my first ask. Can you please do one similar to a show called the ghost and Molly McGee, where the genderbent us accidentally cursed ourselves to stay with them for life 🥺❤️
HEY NOW Never call your request useless, if I can't do a request I'll will tell you privately, but in other news...I LOVE THE GHOST AND MOLLY MCGEE🤩🤩🤩
youtube
(Lmk) I can't believe your all mine🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🤩
(M/n) What?🤨
(Lmk) you and me for all time🎶🎵🎶🎵🥰
(Lmk Wukong) You met her during her journey to the west, and her dumba** master and the pilgrims decided to stay at your abandoned house. You spent nights terrorizing those guys, but frustradingly, Wukong is the only one not scare of you, infact she giggled in your face. The final straw was when you tried to jump scare her, but instead, she kissed you, you swear that you would torture her for the rest of her life. Unfortunately, you put that vow in a spell form, and when they finally left, you found yourself being dragged around and following Wukong. You both were confused until you remembered what you said earlier, and before you knew it, Wukong was so stoked, and it was too late for you😨
(M/N) ugh🙄😒
(NR) I'm never ever ever gonna be alone again🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🥳
(M/n) Oh man😨
(NR) Lovebirds you and me😍
(NR Wukong) Ohhhhhhhhhh god this a extremely hellish situation, that women did nothing but chirp and flirt with you in a club you would often hang out in. You would use your ghost abilities to try and scare her off but it did nothing but make her purr at your sharp teeth and claws. Wukong would never leave you be despite your best efforts, so you decided you want me so bad how about you deal with me scaring you for the rest of your life! Unfortunately you dug your second gave when you found that you bounded yourself to her like a freaking noob and now your stuck with her flirting and making moves on you🤦♂️
(M/n) For all eternity??😰
(MKR) FOR ALL ETERNITY!!!!!!!!👿
(MKR Wukong) She's just as pissed about this as you are about this whole situation. She yelled at you for hours on end and you would argue back at her. This all started when that woman and her friends crashed at your house, unknowing to them that you lived there and wasted no time scaring pigsy and sandy right out the house but the monk was annoying and Wukong in not scared of you but you did make her angry. You both would get into huge fights until you got so upset that you vowed to make her suffer in fear forever and unfortunately for both of you, the vow was a curse and now you really are stuck together for all eternity 😰
(Both) it's the ghost, it's the ghost and the monkey queen 🎶🎵🎶🤦♀️🤦♂️
(M/N) We've been cursed its the worst😫
(HIB Wukong) Oh jeez, well, this is annoying. You thought you could scare her, but you're apparently the least scariest demon she's ever met. This pissed you off and when out of your way to find different things to scare her with, but most of her looks and reactions are like are you done yet??😐🤨 The final straw was her brushing you off and humiliated you, so you created a spell to make you become Wukong's worse nightmare but unfortunately for both of you. You had cursed you both to be together forever.
(Netflix) Now your stuck with me🥰
(Both) We're never gonna be a part😊😮💨
(Netflix Wukong) Ohhhhhhhhhh man. She's way too happy about this, a cute guy she can brag and flaunt her achievements and skills to. Well that is if you cared about anything she was saying to you, she's annoying, vain, and never shuts up at all. So the next best thing you did was try to scare her away from you, but unfortunately it seems she's to dumb to be scared of you and you finally had it. You finally had enough and vowed to scare Wukong and make her life miserable. Well that was until your vow turned into a curse and Now your both technically Married to each other forever now.
(M/n) is their a way to hit restart?🎶🎶🎵🎶😓
(BMW) Nope😃
(Both) We're the ghost, ghost and the monkey Queen🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎶😮💨😄
(BMW Wukong) OH GOD DAMN IT YOU HAVE A BETTER CHANCE OF SCARYING ERLANG THEN YOU DO WITH HER. She's so irritating and loud and never wants to leave you alone, she's always boasting and flirting. Worse of all no matter how many times you turned around and roar at her with your unhinged jaw and all, all she did was just purr and kiss your face. That's when in a fit of anger, embarrassment and frustration you had cursed yourself to stay with her forever, which you really wish you can take back. Though she seems to be really, really into it😳
(D.O) that's me🙂
(M/n) Well that's she🙃
(Destined one) You are no more than an annoying chittering voice on the side of her head. She and Bajie met you when she made camp by your old abandoned manner, and ever since then, you made bajie have at least 3 heart attacks and have 5 strokes but the destined one certainly been a fair challenge. So until you have finally made the destined one scream, you have vowed to be by her side and make her suffer for all eternity. Well, that was the goal, but had two little booboos. First you had accidentally curse yourself to be stuck with her forever, and the second being, you actually started to like her.
The Ghost Husband and the monkey Queen🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶👻👸😅🥰

Saw Godzilla Minus One on Netflix and I wanna talk a bit about this version of Goji because its so, so good. Watch this movie if you haven't yet, honestly a very good Kaiju movie was an actually pretty alright human subplot (and i always call them subplots because we all know what we're here for, yeah?) Okay two sentence summation of central point before I get into spoilers: The reason I really like this version of Goji is that he feels uniquely, viscerally, and unmatchedly mean. Past versions have been some flavor of villainous to various degrees, but this bastard feels especially malicious, and it's fantastic.
(spoilers under the cut, watch the movie guys seriously)
This is the first movie since the first, and Shin, to feel like a straight up horror movie. And this version of Goji feels like a combo of a Kaiju and Michael Myers. He's not overly anthropomorphized like he is in the the Monsterverse movies, much as I like those, he just feels like he's just conscious enough of the world around him to know when something is in his way, and when someone pissed him off.
Goji's main characteristic in this movie being his short temper is just great, he constantly feels like he's just two seconds away from ripping someone in half, it lends a lot of tension to every scene he has. His destruction of Ginza feels almost casual, like he's just very annoyed that his territory has all this clutter in it, but you keep fidgeting in your seat waiting for the other shoe to drop, for someone to do something stupid and fight back...and every time that happens we get to see what happens when the King of The Monsters gets angry.
His Atomic Breath, especially the first time we see it, is just...perfect. That slow, slow build up of power, steadily going faster and faster as it starts from his tail and goes up, like a rail gun charging up, before all the tension snaps and everything in front of him just gets vaporized. Seriously every time Godzilla gets damaged it doesn't feel like a moment of victory for the humans, it just feels like that moment where a big guy gets actually hurt and everyone else makes a hasty retreat because they don't want to be in range for whatever his response is gonna be. Minus One Godzilla is a menacing, angry, violent, uncompromising monster that always shows up when he can do the most damage, whenever the characters are feeling unsafe or afraid there he is, ready to make things worse. Other people have pointed out that he's basically a walking, snarling metaphor for PTSD, in that he never really goes away, and that half assed measures of fighting it will only make it worse. And it affects everyone around him, and whenever he feels pain, that pain gets paid back with interest. And just one more scene I wanna gush about before I'm done. When I started this movie I heard that it basically a bit of a riff on the 54 original, so I expected it to be a while before we saw Goji properly. But no, not even ten minutes into the movie and there he is, not yet the building sized mountain of radiation and anger, but still mean and extremely short tempered. He gets shot at by weapons that don't even scratch him but the sheer audacity of these little shits to even try is enough for him to just slaughter the whole lot, picking them up and throwing them like rag dolls are just crushing them. This isn't an animal, this is a monster with a short temper and no restraint. But that's not what I wanna talk about, I wanna talk about a moment just before everything goes to shit. Shikishima, our resident POV human, has snuck aboard his plane to try and shot Goji with his 20mm. It's nearly pitch darkness, with only a few lights from a nearby hanger, Goji is right there, inches away from the gun...and then he turns around. Slowly, and for just a moment...he stares right at Shikishima...and growls. Just a growl, a low, slow, nearly calm growl, the first and only time in this movie Goji gives someone a warning. Like I said, Goji isn't like he is in the Monsterverse movies, he feels more like an inhuman monster...except for his eyes.
I mentioned Shin earlier, and this is a good comparison, remember that Goji's eyes? Wide open, unblinking eyes. Barely aware of the world around it except for how much pain it's in. Minus One Goji? His eyes are crystal clear, even after his mutation. Deep set, cold, focused. When he looks at Shikishima, it actually looks like he's glaring at him, directly, acknowledging his presence in a way he doesn't afford anyone else all film. Shikishima flinches away and cowers, of course, but Godzilla keeps glaring at him, never breaking eye contact. Its the closest thing Godzilla has to dialog, and its an implicit, dead cold, perfectly serious "I dare you to shot me, go on. Try it. Try."
I really like this design for Goji in general, just all hard edges spikes and cracking scales and just so very mean its great, but his eyes man. Even full sized there's just so much hate in those eyes. Fantastic.
#godzilla#godzilla minus one#just me gushing about goji#really good movie#REALLY REALLY good movie go see it

I'm not gonna post my full write-up, but this was a really enlightening listen and clocks in at about 20 minutes if you want to give it a whirl. Here are a few of my favourite tidbits from Albert Kim and Jabbar Raisani's commentary on the official trailer.
They try to visit lots of locations because Avatar is a road show and they want to show the expansiveness of the world
Kim loved the eco message of the original and wants to convey it in the adaption as well
Raisani says Appa is a core member of the team who they wanted to bring to life as much as any of the humans
"Katara is the character who really recognises Aang for who he is, and that is a symbol of hope. And the return of the Avatar for her means that hope has returned to a world that essentially has lost hope for the last hundred years. She's the first one to see that, and over the course of the season, we're gonna see that message of hope spread throughout the world."
The juxtaposition of Katara's POV and Sokka's POV and their clashing opinions is an important dynamic especially in the beginning of the season and informs who they are as brother and sister and their journey coming together to support Aang.
They chose to choreograph and shoot the first Agni Kai, which they describe as the defining moment of Zuko's life, because you understand a lot more of Zuko's character when you see it in real life.
The Agni Kai goes to the core of Zuko's story. "What did his father really want? Does he want him to succeed and find the Avatar and come back? Is he using him against his sister? What is really required of him or desired of him by his father, and then is he going to do that or is he going to do what he thinks is right?"
Momo is a digital creature. They use a puppet so the actors know what they're doing.
It was important to them that Sokka not just be the butt of the joke but have his own humour
"Despite the burden that all these characters are facing and the fact that the fate of the world rests in their hands, they are just kids, y'know? Aang's a goofy twelve-year-old and Katara and Sokka aren't much older and we wanted to make sure that we conveyed that, because that's a really important part of not just the characters but of the story. And if they are gonna be these harbingers of hope, as we said, they needed to express that through their kind of childlike sense of optimism."
Commander Zhao is one of the main villains of the first season and primary antagonist for our heroes. Ken Leung brought humanity and ambition to the character. We see his ego swell over the course of the season as he gets more and more power and comes closer and closer to capturing the Avatar.
Suki will talk about how when you're not a bender, you have to be better than the benders. The Kyoshi Warriors have refined their combat to the point that they can more than hold their own against firebenders.
Sokka and Suki will have a "beautiful journey" in finding commonality in not being benders and what it means within this world.
While Kyoshi can exist in the real world, Omashu can only exist in fantasy, so they built it from scratch. Kim and Raisani would have conversations about the colour of the rooftops and mechanics of the delivery system. They want Omashu to be a city that even new audiences will look at and think, "Wow, that somewhere I want to go to. That's a place I want to visit."
They tried to do practical wherever possible. They'd start with actors and everything around them, build out as far as they possibly can, then extend from there. For the shot of Aang flying over Omashu they started with actors on rigs, filmed on green screen, then did a full digital shot.
They call the sequence, "The Joy of Flight." Like the animated series, they have scenes that are just fun. Aang and Teo could fly from Point A to Point B but they want to make things engaging and fun to watch.
All actors doing bending had to go through extensive training before shooting. The core cast did a six week bootcamp where they had to learn all four bending techniques.
Utkarsh Ambudar (King Bumi) was eager to do everything himself. While they did use stunt performers for parts, he was always down to do another take despite being exhausted.
The Avatar State is the ultimate power, to be treated seriously, so they don't have Aang going into it as much as the original first season so it felt special and communicated that Aang could only access it in specific circumstances. They've tweaked the rules for when and how he can access Avatar State.
"There are certain things we are going to modify, going to change, and hopefully fans will see that it's all for the good of the story as a whole and in dimension-alizing the story and bringing it from one medium to the other."

Supporting Nimona and She-Ra
So, ND said, on bird app, that he was advised that the best way to support Nimona was to give the movie a double-thumbs up rating on Netflix. If you have netflix still, please do so.
ADDITIONALLY, I want to point out:
When SPOP ended in 2020, Netflix did NOT have double thumbs up, just the single up and the single down. Again, if you still have netflix, please do a double thumbs up on She-Ra as well.
Look, we've had SheRaMovie trending on bird app multiple times, we had catra and adora and catradora and some variation of SPOP trending (STILL TRENDING) on the bird app MULTIPLE times.
And the whole thing with warrior nun being revived?!?!
Look, I'm someone who TRIES to be realistic. And while it seems almost like a wasted effort, I really truly believe we could get an ND-involved She-Ra movie IF we keep pushing for it.
I really feel like Netflix is backed into a corner right now.
So -
As a first step, let's give She-Ra and the Princesses of Power a double thumbs up on Netflix.
After that, we're gonna need to take pages from Warrior Nun fans and do exactly what they did to give She-Ra attention.
I believe in this show SO HARD and I also believe in the fans. So let's do this.
Reblog to get the word out.

Shadow and Bone cancelation is not at all surprising (I was literally talking to my roommate about the show the other day and I said there's no way we're getting another season) but seeing it confirmed still sucks. The literal ideal cast got screwed over by some terrible writing decisions. Either that, or they already knew they wouldn't be getting another season, which is why season 2 was... like that
I do think it's a combination of both. They knew people cared more about the crows so they tried to have scenes from the books in there, as well as try to wrap up the Grisha trilogy asap. At the same time, with Netflix's track record they probably knew chances of a renewal were slim. But I can't help but wonder if they shot themselves in the foot by trying to fit as much as they did into this season, causing it to get a lukewarm reception and kinda ruining any chance of it getting renewed again. Like don't get me wrong, if it's between getting the odd, kinda lame versions of the crooked kingdom scenes put in there or no crooked kingdom seasons at all, I prefer what we got. (Trying to give the showrunners/writers the benefit of the doubt here😭)
But there is NO EXCUSE for what they did to my boy Matthias. If they knew (or were at least sure enough) that season 2 would be their last, WHY WOULD THEY LOCK HIM UP AND THEN FORGET ABOUT HIM FOR THE WHOLE SEASON. WHY DID THEY SEND THE CROWS ON RANDOM SIDEQUESTS THAT MADE NO SENSE. In season one the way they fit them in felt very natural. We knew what their stake in this was. In season two they literally went on a whole ass world tour and still managed to find time for a tragic backstory acid trip, all for a sword that got used like once
I wish they had just committed to going one way or the other. If this is our last season, let's give the fans what they want and make sure all the crows are together. Let's not change the nice ending that Alina and Mal got and separate them again and then do a cliffhanger so we can keep Alina around for longer (which I would've been cool with honestly, I love Jessie Mei lee)
Or, let's try really hard to make this as good as possible so we get another season. Sure, okay, combining siege and storm and ruin and rising is fine, although I would have happily watched a third season with Harshaw and his cat. Let's give the crows something worthwhile to do, even if it isn't directly related to the grisha trilogy storyline. Maybe set up the status quo we have at the beginning of six of crows. Have Matthias hellgate scenes but yknow. Don't jump the gun by putting some of the most emotional scenes in with exactly zero of the lead up, making them kinda fall flat. Build up that tension so that fans are even more anxious for another season or spinoff.
But don't land somewhere in the middle where you expect this season to be the last but still write most of it like there's gonna be another. I would assume they wrote that cliffhanger to leave the door open for a plot just in case it did get renewed, but by that point all the other, much more preferrable doors had been closed shut
#once i saw the bathroom scene i was like. ah last season then#because why would they do that unless they knew this was gonna be it#but if they knew this was gonna be it WHY WASNT MATTHIAS THERE.#it makes no sense#k rant over#shadow and bone#shadow and bone netflix#shadow and bone season 2#six of crows#sab season two#sab season 2#shadow and bone season two

Daily avatrice analysis (day 7)
day1 day2 day3 day4 day5 day6 day7 day8 day9
lemme interrupt the normal programming of wishing Netflix a good DIE and get back to business :)
I’ll try to keep this light and not break everyone's hearts(no promises tho
So
Ep 9
aka Vatican Heist?!
After Ava did the cross gesture
Look at how Camila and Beatrice smiles aww
I’m 100% on board with the headcanon that Camila and Ava will devise pranks together
Make this happen in S3🙏🏻
Anyway
Notice how while Camila is looking though the mirror
Bea is directly looking at Ava?
Bea really is in love since day one
Actually I think she did started to smile more after ep 8
Especially when Ava was around or when she made a nun joke(which we will get into later
Bea smiling after looking at Ava counter: more than two
Also Mary looks so done here lol
Before we get deep(that’s what she said) with this scene, one question
How the fuck did Ava got the rings lol
Did she just take them from Mary either way?
Even though Mary said nah imma get my ass kicked by Bea lol she is truly our cocky little shit(affectionate)
We can also see the little look they exchanged before they used their rings
Speaking of looks, we gotta talk about
Avatrice and non-verbal communication
More importantly why is it important to them by using this scene as an example
For Ava, notice how she looks at Bea first?
My theory is coz she don’t want to upset Bea so she’s asking for permission
In the Avatrice timeline, after the confession scene in ep 8
They have definitely gotten closer relationship wise
So it make sense that Ava turning first is her way of asking for permission because she had a new found respect towards Bea
Kinda like when a beloved teacher told you the story of how they overcome hardships
And next time you saw them you’re like “wow they been through some shit I should be nice to them”
Also I can imagine growing up in the orphanage she was shaped by the environment to ask permission for anything
So naturally she did it here as well
For Bea is mainly reassurance
She is trying to give the “is okay” vibes
Bea is so considerate is annoying sometimes
Not in a negative sense, but more like
Bea please take care of YOUR NEEDS AS WELL
considering her background
I feel like she had to make compromises a lot
So she is forced to be considerate
And also love and all that you know they did say I love you to each other in S2
Or they could just agreed to use the rings at the same time to avoid one of the guards noticing so they did a silent count of 1 2 3 with a look but hey i’m an overthinker okay is what I do
Anyway moving on
let's do a little line by line analysis to mix things up
Bea: The plan was to use the rings to ensure he stays safely unconscious until we're done.
There's no room for improvisation. What were you thinking?
You're gonna need every bit of the Halo's power to get into the crypt.
(Bea and Logic 1:0 Ava and being impulsive and new to being stealthy)
Ava: I specifically didn't use the Halo.
(Ava your child-like attitude is showing)
Bea:I know that's what you think... but the Halo's healing you.
Whether you mean to or not, you're using it.
(Bea said you need to think with your head and not your heart)
Ava:I just want to help.
What kind of a leader doesn't pull her own weight?
(I see it as Ava wanting to show off a little and proof to herself and the OCS crew she can be a worthy halo bearer)
Bea:The one that puts the mission above everything else.
If you're not at full strength when we get to the tomb, all of this will have been for nothing.
(ep 1 & 2 bea are showing, putting the mission above everything else, but also I feel like secretly she’s saying that because she couldn’t bear seeing Ava get hurt)
Bea:There's only one thing you need to do right now.
(so she rather she got hurt if it means ava is safe)
Ava: What?
(Bea you could’ve just ask Ava to trust you we all know that you are in love with her I mean look at her eyes)
Continuing the rest tmr cause im too sleep deprived rn
take care of yourselves, keep fighting, let’s bring our girls back ✨
stay tuned :)
day8

Oh my god, how are they gonna arrange the schedules? If Finn has Ghost Busters 2 then it means he's gonna be filming that for months, and what about the other schedules then 😅? I sometimes wonder if the show will just come out in 2025 bc of different schedules and bc the actors either have different projects or are busy with smth else
I know it's super disappointing, but it's very possible s5 won't premiere until 2025!
I answered an ask about this a while back, but basically if we're wanting s5 to be top notch quality, then settling for a s5 release in 2025 is what we're looking at.
Finn made the comment that he was looking forward to being able to drink with some of his cast-mates at the next premiere since he'll now be of age this time around, and he wont be 21 until December 2024... Unless they plan on premiering that literal month, the premiere probably wont be until the following year some time (early 2025).
Noah also made a comment about it when asked if it was coming out soon, and he basically just changed the subject saying that they're main priority is doing the story justice by ensuring it's all well done and satisfying.
Netflix has not come out to give a year for release yet and it's because they are probably pretty sure it will be 2025, but they know it's going to piss people off so they're going to wait a little bit before breaking the news.
Also just thinking about filming scheduling like you said, it takes a lot longer than it usually does for a number of reasons. I'm pretty sure s1 only needed like 6-7 months to film and only like 3-4 months for post-production. But the level of the story was so much less grand. We also had actors that had no experience and so therefore there wasn't much demand in trying to fit with their schedule bc they had no other work.
But now they're all A and B listers with crammed schedules.
We're talking 10+ months of filming and AT LEAST 8+ months of post-production. Best case scenario they would be ready for a premiere by DEC 2024 at the earliest! That gives them a lot of wiggle room assuming there could be delays and what not.
Remember they didn't finish filming for s4 until Sept. 2021, which means they needed about 8 or so months for post-production with the May 27th, 2022 premiere.
When we're talking about like major CGI dragon battles potentially, we're looking at the high end of the spectrum for time spent of VFX in post-production, so something close to what we saw for s4, more or less (about 8 months).
And then you have to think about all the planning that goes into the promotion and the advertising and contracts with products that is planned months/years in advance and that all rolling out to get people pumped.
Then there's also the fact that their choice of when to release it usually has to be sort of unique.
It has to premiere on a Friday, and it has to preferably be at at time that works best for Netflix in combination with all of their other releases.
There are no interesting Friday dates in late 2024... The most interesting date I can find is Friday March 21st, 2025, which would allow for the release to match up with the setting of the show (especially if we're circling back to birthdaygate and what happened in early s4 that was misconstrued bc of will's unreliable narrator arc).
Also... arguably we want a later release bc then it means we get to be here a little bit longer. Bc once this is over, it's over forever. The end!
ST5 in 2025 wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, assuming that promotion for that season would start as early as late 2024 and also be really consistent leading up to it, followed by us getting it and having to, only to move on forever.
It's kind of sad thinking about it. I don't want to.
Also it's possible we could get split into two volumes again bc this is the end and they really want to milk the excitement of it. Having it premiere once and be done is only ensuring like one month of hype, whereas 2 volumes split up between a 2-3 month period ensure like 4 months of hype, and that's a good way to end things with a bang.
Maybe we'll get lucky with a vol one in late 2024 and a vol 1 in early 2025? We'll have to wait and see as we get closer!
All I know is it wont be 2026, so we can just rest knowing that's not a possibility... right?
#byler#stranger things#st5 predictions#st5 filming#st5 production#st5 speculation#late 2024 release is still possible!!!#but also i wouldn't be so privy to demand it if it means the quality is meh bc they're rushing#id rather they take they're time and go out with a bang honestly!

'Stranger Things 2' Creators: 'We Wanted To Raise The Stakes'
October 27, 20174:28 AM ET
Heard on Morning Edition
By
David Greene, Alyssa Edes, Ashley Westerman
Things are about to get even stranger in Hawkins, Ind.
That's the small town the Netflix series Stranger Things is set in. The second season of the instant cult classic set in the 1980s is released Friday, and it picks up about a year after the first adventure into the Upside Down, the defeat of the Demogorgon monster and Eleven's apparent disappearance.
Stranger Things is the brainchild of twin brothers Matt and Ross Duffer, who said that their tastes are very similar — but that they fight all the time. It's mostly about writing.
"Any other part of the process is, you have your blueprint," Ross says. "But when you're just staring at the blank page, doesn't matter — it's always terrifying."
"Every writer you meet, at least in Hollywood, is miserable," Matt says.
Now the show's central group of kids — Dustin, Lucas, Mike and Will — are a year older, and in this season you get a sense that they're growing up. Their story lines start to diverge and expand.
"It's fun, because we're able to balance different genres," Ross says. "I can do teen romance, and then I can jump to these little kids messing around to just the mom crying — an emotional scene. I like that we can jump around to different genres, but it's always a struggle, structurally, to get it to build the way we want it to."
They spoke in NPR's studio in Culver City, Calif.
Interview Highlights
On the character Eleven's new role
Matt Duffer: So that's probably the biggest difference for this season, in that Eleven is not with the boys, really. I mean, you know, there were conversations with Netflix. Everyone was nervous about it just because a lot of the success of the first season came from her interaction with the boys — the chemistry between them. And then immediately, you're kind of taking away that safety net. And I think that part of that was just to challenge ourselves. We really wanted to not do the same thing again... I wanted her to have her own journey, separate from the boys.
On the more sinister and threatening feel to Stranger Things 2
Ross Duffer: Well, yeah, I guess the first season was very focused on just Will and saving him. We wanted to raise the stakes — even though Will plays a central role — that it really puts everyone in danger moving forward.
Matt: Well, it's a cliché sequel thing: like, bigger and darker.
On the pressure to deliver a good sequel
Ross: I always say that it evens out in terms of just how scared I am about the whole thing. 'Cause season one, you're just scared that people might not like it, and even worse, that no one's gonna watch it. So season one was really scary in a lot of ways. And then this season's a very different feeling, which is: We know we're gonna have these people watching it, but yeah, they have expectations now. And that's always the balancing act, 'cause you don't want to just give people exactly what is expected. You want to surprise them a little bit.
On the fate of the character Barb
Matt: I think we resolve it.

for the wip ask game, i can’t pick. so just tell me something about one of them that you’re really proud of
WIP tag game
I can always rely on some people on my dash to cheer me up <3. All the X-Men stuff I'm currently working on is still in early stages and I tend to be more proud of works in their entirety, so I think I'd like to talk a bit about my She-Ra project, not least because once I'm done with Weathered II, I think I want to go back to that, and some people on my dash (looking at you @kintatsujo :D) have been interested in it occasionally.
Disclaimer: This has nothing to do with the Netflix Princesses of Power show since I hate it. Not gonna elaborate on that. I've dealt with anti hate for that fact before so anyone reads this and feels like pissing me off in my inbox: You're 4 years too late, move on.
Nah, what I'm doing with “Terra Exit” is basically translate the original She-Ra series into an adult setting and try to finish that series and Adora's story in that old Filmation verse. I'm starting with the events of “The Secret of the Sword” and write myself along the actual series episodes (not writing them but adding missing scenes and quickly brush over/mention what's happening in them), and after the last franchise episode, I move the series on to what the creators could never get around to do. Meaning, writing out the Rebellion's last stand against the Horde. That's a monster project where we're easily talking a million words once more, so depending on how burnt out I am by the point I get there, I'll have to see how to go from there. The vague idea is to get Adora home to Eternia then where she belongs finally, give her a bit of soft time before Horde Prime moves the war there and He-Man and her have to work together to defeat him once and for all. So that would be de definite ending of that huge project. I'll see in 10 years or so if I ever got there, I guess :D.
What motivates me for this is that She-Ra has been my childhood heroine, saving my life in years of bullying in school, that the series was my first anchor when I got on the internet and learned how to handle online life and got my first friends in oversee fandoms, and the wish to translate one of my favorite childhood series into a mature setting. For a child's series, this franchise has some surprisingly, chilling themes like child soldiers, separation, making the hard choice between family and duty, fighting fascism, defecting from the army, brainwashing etc. This whole franchise has great potential to be a gripping, gritty sci fi/fantasy stories for adults when translated into a mature style, so that's what I want to do (In a way, the more recent He-Man comics did this in some alternate universe already when they pulled She-Ra in, with Adora being a still brainwashed killing machine, so I'm not far off the mark or original here). I'm not pulling any punches here; this is going full drama and Explicit rated in terms of violence and a little bit of romance. And honestly, whenever I think about it, I am very excited and have to stifle back all that impatience to remember, one big project at a time. But I definitely never get tired talking about it :D.
That said, here's a little snippet (no rating) from the current series part where I stopped writing before diving back into Tolkien and X-Men. Takes place at the end of the canon episode "Bow's Farewell".
***
"Thank you." It wasn't until she remembered how to breathe again that she realized she'd slumped down on the floor, on her knees, Swift Wind's soft nose reassuringly nudging her back. "I'm okay. I'd better fly to Bright Moon Castle right away."
"Everything's fine there. Just a few ruined walls, half-collapsed ceilings, and overturned furniture. No one has been seriously hurt. No casualties," Light Hope ridded her off her worst concern. "Stay for a moment. I can sense you're upset."
She-Ra did, mostly because she remembered Light Hope's request to spend time here as often as possible, even if she didn't need anything. To spend time with him. That way, she didn't have to face the next interrogation right away, either. "I'll be fine. There hasn't been much time to rest recently. And even less to be with the ones I love. No wonder everyone thinks I need therapy when they hardly see me."
"Don't be angry with your brother and friends for worrying about you, She-Ra." Of course, she didn't need to reveal the details of her anger to Light Hope first. It would have surprised her if he hadn't known exactly what this was about.
At least that gave her a chance to ask him something she hadn't been able to get out of her mind since that conversation not exactly overheard by accident. "Is Adam right, Light Hope? Do I need to remember?"
"I can't make that decision for you, She-Ra." Light Hope's form melted back into its usual shape, that massive column, as if he wanted to pull back from her a bit. "Your soul would be shaken to the core, that much is for sure."
"So you know what happened back then," she found, wearily rubbing over her elbow where a slight twinge had started to throb, something she usually only felt when the weather changed. Something she had always blamed on some old muscle damage until now, from her constant training battles in the Fright Zone. Except that her medical records on Eternia knew better. Everyone seemed to know better than she did, which particularly bad encounter in her youth had left her with multiple broken bones, and apparently something even worse. Only nobody wanted to talk to her about it. And still She-Ra didn't know if that wasn't for the best.
"I wish I didn't, believe me. But there aren't many secrets you can keep from me," Light Hope explained with a distinctly sad tone. "Very little of this planet's past or present is hidden from me in general. That is my curse, as yours is the brokenness of your heart. The future, however, I can only predict extremely vaguely. All I know is that Hordak wants to hurt Adora very badly, and that you must take care of yourself."
She-Ra nodded briefly. "To know that, I don't need to remember something that my subconsciousness has obviously decided I'm better off without. I'll wait and see. For now."
"If you change your mind, I'm here for you." Light Hope said goodbye with the usual respectful flicker in his silhouette before retreating back into his pool.

Days weren't going so good for you as you stared out of the window. Time seemed to go slowly, a little too slow as each minute seemed like an Eternity, each movement seeming like a chore, sleep becoming more prominent wanting your dreams to take you away than facing reality.
Oliver knew this as he watched you lying on the bed, scrolling away at your phone. Taking the device out of your hands, he hushed you before you could protest.
"We're going to try something new. Keep your hands by your sides" he said heterochromatic eyes staring into yours, a small smile playing on his lips as brought out the duvet. Picking you up, he placed you on the side of it, proceeding to roll you until you had become in the center of the roll.
"What are you doing?" you asked, hands tucked into the sheets on your sides as you wiggled. "Making my sad sushi happy." he replied, fireman lifting you to the couch as he opened Netflix, pressing the button on friends.
"Oh. my. god."
"Janice?"
The show playing in the background as you were placed on the corner of the sofa, your feet placed on Oliver's lap, one arm around you while the other feeding you his homemade pancakes. He placed the fork in front of your lips, dragging it away as you tried to take a bite of the pancake, eyebrows scrunching as you focused on the screen in front of you, repeating the action over and over until he felt you squirm within the confines of the sheets.
"Stop it and give me the damn pancake, jackass."
"Promise me one thing." You looked at him, waiting for him to continue.
"I know that your mind is running at thousands of miles a minute, but take it easy on yourself okay? Living can be hard for some people, but we keep pushing forward. It seems permanent but I can tell you that it will pass, no matter how stuck you seem." he said, hugging you closer to him, the scruff of his cheek bristling against your forehead, placing a kiss on it. "You're strong, intelligent and beautiful. The world is waiting for you so don't hide yourself from it." You felt a small smile on your face as you nuzzled into the warmth of his chest.
"You getting soft on me... Olive oil?"
"You have a smart mouth, don't you Bambi." he stated, giving you a smile before kissing your neck, nose and cheeks, making you squeal as you wiggled on his lap; with the final kiss on your lips.
"Jeg elsker deg." he muttered. "so much."

dear maine,
it's late at night or early in the morning. i should be asleep, but i was planning on watching some lecture videos. i can see the lights on in your room, but you're probably asleep.
i think about the times you told me you want me in your life forever. we could get married or not, whatever i wanted, but you just wanted to be in my life. i think about you saying that and then i inevitably start to tear up. i inevitably think about us at night.
and i want to hit myself because this is what i wanted. i agreed we needed to break up and i took the coward's way out and had you break up with me because i didn't want to be the one to break up. but i digress. i am just as responsible for this.
but i guess it hurts and it's all me. forever felt like the walls closing in when we were together. i miss you now that we're apart. i miss you so much. and i just think about how you said forever and i cry and want to scream.
you deserve someone better than me, someone who will love you and cherish you, who will share your interests and you won't have to pull teeth to find something on netflix you both can watch. they'll be as neat as you are and your house or apartment or whatever will be tidy. you won't have to nag them.
sometimes i unfairly think that if you really loved me, you would be willing to fight harder. i don't even know what precipitated this last end - i was trying so hard. and now that i think about it, i just need to know. i need to ask. maybe i will in the true morning.
if i were a better and selfless person, i would leave it alone. but i'm not. i wish i were. i wish i was good enough. i'm going to look back on this in 10 years and be angry, probably. he couldn't love me enough because i couldn't clean. he couldn't love me because i don't like kissing. he couldn't love me - and this one is entirely valid - because i get frustrated easily. i snap too much. laid out like this, it seems so stupid, but the weight of it broke after 1.5 years.
he couldn't live with me.
right now i miss him and i want to retreat and i want to curl up under a large tree and fall asleep and sleep forever, i want to disappear. i want him to miss me.
i see now we were doomed and are still doomed. and this is no longer a letter to ben that would never be sent, but a truth. that happened somewhere between the tears.
i don't think i can watch lecture videos now, but i don't want to close my laptop and be alone in the dark and cry. i love you, ben. as soon as i think about getting back together, my head says no we can't do this again because we are doomed. and i know you wouldn't take me back. you shouldn't.
i need you here to give me a hug and tell me it will be okay but that's not fair to you and i'm not gonna ask that of you. and you just came out so i guess you're not asleep.
when the rationality doesn't win, there's a small girl within me that asks why didn't you love me enough.
none of this is fair to you and i just wish i were a fox napping underneath a tree.
why am i such an easy person to leave. i must be easy to leave. if i weren't, maybe someone would have stayed.

✨ Fic Writing Review 2023 ✨
I haven't actually been tagged by anyone but I saw @bereft-of-frogs give it a go and thought what the hell, why not (I hope you don't mind me tagging you 💜). I also don't have anyone in mind to tag but if you see this feel free to tag me (or not) and give it a go yourself!
Words and Fics
192,428 words posted according to ao3 but at least 90k of that has been carried over from previous years.
Broadly speaking, I've written for two fandoms. The Witcher (Netflix series and Blood Origin) and Jedi Fallen Order/Survivor.
14 fics posted, but again two of those were started in 2022 and another in 2020, all three finished in the beginning of this year.
13/14 of the fics posted/updated this year are finished, one started but on hiatus while my current jfo WIP continues to consume my brain.
Speaking of, said WIP is curently sitting at 132k and only has two or three chapters left before I can start editing.
most recent fic: It's only slaughter, we're only liars (jfo)
longest: that would be A Quest for your Memories (the Witcher), the fic that was haunting me from March 2020. Originally supposed to be a one shot, it ended up being 51,734 words long.
shortest: Echoes (blood origin, 1,118)
Top Fics by Kudos
A Quest for your Memories (794)
I'd Burn So Bright It Blinded (623)
What's The Point (440)
If You Ask Me For My Fire (299)
After The Blood Comes The River (211)
Unsurprisingly they're all witcher fics since it's a much much bigger fandom than jfo/s
Gonna give some love to my personal faves since the Jedi ones can't compete:
It's only slaughter, we're only liars
No more time for my loss
Touchdown
My fandom fic events in 2023
Whumptober which took up a lot of September but was a lot of fun. I enjoyed coming into it with a new fandom since I didn't bother last year.
Upcoming Events and Projects for 2024
My priority at the moment is to finish my current WIP and then start editing it. While I'm doing that I might try to finish off some of my older fics that have been left hanging.
After that I've already got a whole two part thing planned out that will hopefully be a litte shorter that I'm really looking forward to getting to. Beyond that, I don't know. I'll continue to tie up loose ends (there's a lot of them) or I'll keep writing new stuff. Either way, I don't see me stopping any time soon.
I've had a lot of fun writing this year, though for a couple of months I was worried I was running out of inspiration (mostly because my then current hyperfixation was waning). But then Jedi survivor came along and I've been hooked ever since. I didn't used to think I was capable of writing long fics but between finishing a couple of 50k's and now having such a long WIP I can see I was just being silly. "Do it scared" is good advice.
Happy new year!!
Rules & Tags* below the cut!
Rules: Feel free to show whatever stats you have. Only want to show Ao3 stats? Rock on. Want to include some quantitative info instead of stats? Please do this. Want to change how yours is presented? Absolutely do that. Would rather eat glass than do this? Please don’t eat glass but don’t feel like you have to do this either.
*I usually do stuff like this on my sideblog but that's not where my main focus is any more and idk how many people know about my main. Hence why I don't want to start tagging fandom people. Also idk many people in the jfo/s fandom or who has already done it.
So no tags becasue I'm too shy basically and I don't see that changing any time soon sadly. I love being tagged, I'm just bad at reaching out first...

Sokka Actor Defends Changes To Live-Action 'Avatar' Series: "You Have To Take Risks"
Sokka actor Ian Ousley opens up on creative changes to Netflix’s ‘Avatar’ series, what he fought to keep in the show, the hilarious cast group chat, and much more.
Avatar: The Last Airbender is in the pantheon of 2000s Nickelodeon shows.
Since its debut in 2005, the animated series inspired several spinoff projects and a passionate, global fanbase—one that’s been particularly protective of the franchise following M. Night Shyamalan’s disgraceful 2010 adaptation.
When it was announced that the series would be getting the live-action treatment at Netflix, fans were skeptical. Would this be another bomb, like the canceled Cowboy Bepop series? Or could it actually be something worthwhile for the franchise, like the recent adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece?
Ian Ousley, the 21-year-old actor born in College Station, Texas, who plays Sokka in the Netflix version, knew it would be a daunting task adapting one of the most beloved animated stories of the 21st Century. But he says the cast had one common goal stepping into the project.
“We’ve got to do this thing justice,” Ousley says. “What we want is to give people a true and faithful adaptation of a show that people grew up on and still love today.”
It seems like the live-action series has resonated with fans. In its first four days in the US, it secured the No. 1 spot on Nielsen’s streaming chart and garnered nearly twice as many views as the debut of One Piece. In a sign of faith, Netflix decided to greenlight Seasons 2 and 3, ensuring the series will at least get the opportunity to tell Aang’s whole story and possibly do right by the franchise’s legacy.
Ousley sat down with Complex to reflect on the necessary changes for live-action, what he demanded to keep in the series, bonding with the cast, and much more.
You were 19 when you signed on to the project. We're here now, two years later. How are you feeling?
IAN OUSLEY: Feeling older [Chuckles]. I feel great. We shot this project for 13 months in Vancouver. It's been almost a year and a half since VFX and all of that stuff. So it's kind of a weird situation to go from like, “Oh, you're gonna do 12 hours of work every day for 13 months.” Then it's like, “All right, here's your life for like a year and a half.”
Then it gets released and it's like, “Oh, by the way, you did this thing and it's awesome, and you're it's going to come out and it's going to be crazy.” So it's been a funny, kind of roller coaster situation.
It was also a massive world tour, from Tudum in Brazil to all across the globe. What’s it been like interacting with fans ever since you joined?
I mean, great. It is a very passionate fan base. I was part of that fan base at one point, so I really understand. Since it's been released, the fan reaction has been overwhelmingly positive from what I've seen, so I'm just really grateful that the fans like it honestly. Because I was in that same spot where I was like, “Oh my gosh, I really want this to be good.”
Everyone on the cast and the creative side of things were really fans of the project, which is rare to find, a project that everyone is so passionate about. We were like, “Okay, this has to be good because there might have been a movie at some point that maybe wasn't so good.”
We were like, “Our whole goal is: we’ve got to do this thing justice.”
What was the casting process like? I heard it was done under cover, Ken Leung thoughthe was auditioning for a different franchise. How did all that go down?
It was under a code name, so I did a self tape under the code name “Tradewinds” and thought it was just some Netflix original because it said Netflix but didn't say anything else. I had no idea it was Avatar at all.
I did a bunch of Zoom callbacks, chemistry reads over Zoom, which is always funny because if you've ever been on a Zoom meeting in your life, there's that subtle delay, which is kind of awkward. So acting with that was pretty interesting.
But we were in the midst of COVID, and I got the call that I actually got the role. The first reaction was, “Oh, my God. I'm playing Sokka.” And then I was like, “Oh my God, I'm playing Sokka. What the heck?” Like, so much pressure.
Once you landed the role, how much Avatar content did you consume to prepare for the project?
To prepare, I just watched season one because I didn't want to have in my mind too much the arc of what Sokka goes through in seasons two and three. So I was religiously watching season one, like three or four times. Throughout the process of filming the show, just reminding myself of like, “Okay, we're here. Sokka is going through this.”
The animated show is basically the heart and soul of our show, but our show is different. It's live-action. Anything's going to be different when you take it from animation and put it into real people. So just trying to add those human elements into it, finding where they really didn’t get to dive into because it’s an animated series, trying to find where we could mix those human elements in.
What were you most excited to tackle with the project? Anything you were really looking forward to?
I was most excited for the stunts. Dallas [Liu, who plays Zuko] is a good friend of mine, and those were my favorite days, shadowing and getting to watch him do his martial arts in costume, which is very difficult. We're basically all in leather, so doing what he's doing is insane.
The costumes, that's what really transported us into the world. The first time I got my haircut and I'd put the costume on in the fitting and stuff, I was like, “Okay, this is really cool.” Once I had the wolf tail, it was over. I was like, “Oh my gosh. This is real.” And that's kind of where I saw it through, Not just my imagination anymore, it was like, “Oh, this is real.”
What were the action and fight scenes like for you?
Great! My job is to lose most of them [Chuckles], but it was actually a really fun experience. We did a six-week-long bootcamp where we all learned how to bend all four elements, even though I'm a non-bender. The rest of that bootcamp was focused on me re-learning my martial arts background, which isn’t very hard.
I'm a third degree black belt in taekwondo and a world champion in weapons. So that was what was fun for me because Sokka's got a lot of weapons. He's got spears, he's got his boomerang, obviously. Later on he'll master the space sword, which I'm very excited for, hopefully. I mean, that's in the animated series. We don't have any scripts yet for season two and three, but yeah, it was really fun to do those scenes.
The behind-the-scenes pictures made it look like y’all were legit family, like homies. What was the bonding experience like on and off set?
I mean, hopefully me and Dallas didn't seem like actual homies in the show, but we were roommates. We actually knew each other in L.A. beforehand, when we were like 15. It's a very long story, but we really were not fans of each other at all. So when I found out he got cast, I was like, “Oh my God, this is gonna suck. My life is going to suck for a year.”
We were supposed to be friends and then we just bonded throughout the bootcamp and the first month of shooting. We lived a block away from each other and we would always get dropped off at one person's house, go eat, come back to that person's house, and then seven hours before we had to be on set for the next bootcamp day, which is very intense because it's like eight hours of training, we'd be like, “Oh, crap, I've got to go home.” Go sleep in separate places, and then do it all again the next day.
So after Christmas break, we were just like, “Dude, we've got to move in together.” So we ended up doing that, which was really cool.
Do you guys have a group chat?
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.
Does it have a special nickname like “OppenHomies” or something?
You know, that sounds more like what the Oppenheimer group chat is, is that what it is? “OppenHomies”? Oh, my God. That's so lit.
We have one, it's “Shadow Wizard Money Gang.” I think there's a music producer who has that as his producing tag that was big for a while.
One day I opened my text and it said “Shadow Wizard Money Gang” with like a ton of emojis. And I was like, “What the hell?” And it was them. I was like, “Oh, cool.”
What are your cardinal rules for adapting an animated project into live action?
I think that, for one, I'll say that we love the animated show. All of us are fans of that, which is what we are trying to embody instead of emulate, is what I would say. A shot for shot remake of an animation to me personally is unnecessary. What we want is to give people a true and faithful adaptation of a show that people grew up on and still love today.
That's what I would say to some of the critics: “I hear you and we love the animated show and it exists and is perfect for a reason.” I think that it's necessary to bring some differences to the show so that we can have some new content. You have to take risks, and I think we took some risks. Sometimes that really, really pans out and sometimes it doesn’t. I think that most of our risks really did.
What I’d also say to this subject in general, I know it's a little bit off topic, but I feel like the first season of the animated show is so good, but it's hopping around a lot. We're going on little side missions here and there because we're trying to get to the Northern Water Tribe, and it really finds its voice in seasons two and three.
It's like, “We know what the show is, we know what we're going after, we know what the plot points are. We have Toph now. We have the Aang Gang. We have a mission. We’ve got to save the world.” I think that our show also has that opportunity in live-action.
We've gotten so much constructive criticism, which is why we all want to make the show as good as possible. Still, not just for season one, but season two and three. I think we really have that opportunity now as well to find our voice in season two and three.
Was there anything that you felt particularly strong about that you felt Sokka needed to keep in the live-action?
One thing that I asked to keep that was almost not there was I'm wearing the Kyoshi armor in episode two. Originally I wasn't wearing the Kyoshi armor. In the animated show, it's kind of seen as a punch line. It's a punishment, like, “Here, throw this on if you want to train with us.”
For me, I went to the people that wanted to make that change and was like, “You know, I'm a martial artist. If I'm going to a jiu jitsu gym, I'm going to wear their uniform. It can be seen as a sign of honor and respect.” I think that's totally what it is.
So I was really happy that I got to keep that. It really was not anything intense, but it was just advocating for your characters. Always. Everyone always loves that because no one had ego on our set, which is something that's so important when trying to create something that's good is like, “Oh, I'm totally down to be wrong.”
What are your hopes for deepening your portrayal of Sokka? Anything you are excited to explore in Seasons 2 and 3?
I think that he evolves through his sense of responsibility. He evolves through his relationship with his sister a lot. The reason this question is hard to answer is because I don't have scripts yet, which helps me guide where that growth will come from. I'm kind of a psycho about trying to make the performance not one noted, even in one episode or one part of a season.
I had a whole serial killer wall, theories of all like, okay, “This season he's going through this. And then the reason it changes here is because…” and then once you do all of that work, you can throw it all away once you get on set and you kind of have a sense of purpose of why.
So I think I'm going to find out more of those specifics, I will find out more about that when I get those scripts. Hopefully soon.

Hellsite Nostalgia Tour 2023 Day 106
Dark Side of the Moon
"Dark Side of the Moon"
Plot Description: Ambushed by angry hutners, Sam and Dean are shot and killed and sent to heaven!
(The exclamation mark really sells the Netflix summary...)
Would I Survive the First Five Minutes??: (Before I start the episode I'm guessing that Sam and Dean are the ones who are gonna die in the first five minutes, and if they're dying, how the fuck am I supposed to survive? UNLESS...we're talking about just me, a non-vessel-for-an-archangel-or-the-devil. Then I'm okay) I was right
I know that it's been 10 years since I put time and effort into watching Supernatural, but how did I forget the one where both of them die and go to heaven (NOT the finale).
He was not looking for that gun. He was literally asleep.
One! OBSESSED with "You Just Killed The Person Who Matters Most To Me, Who I've Been Conditioned MY ENTIRE LIFE To Care For More Than Even Myself"!Dean. Two! Hate that he's so ready to die now that Sam's dead, but Three! Swooning over his confidence that he IS going to come back, and he's going to make these hunters' lives a LIVING HELL (which is a little rich coming from Michael's vessel, not Lucifer's)
Thank god I'm in the process of taking off my make up. It would be ALL OVER MY FACE otherwise watching Dean light fireworks with what seems to be a 13 year old Sam. (Remembering how heaven is structured in Supernatural isn't helping. If I remember correctly, it's whatever environment brought that person the most peace. And for Dean it's going against his dad to go light fireworks on the fourth of July with his little brother??)
Well that was disastrously short lived
I was gonna make a joke like "what is this? the Wizard of Oz?" Because at the end of this road Dean's on, he's going to supposedly find Sam (I don't trust that that was actually Cas over the radio.), but then I remembered the title and how you can play those two simultaneously and it felt a little on the nose
Okay, the twists and turns are already not what I expected, which is kind of nice. We're now around 7 minutes in and he's already found actual Sam, who is also confused how both of them got into heaven.
They really really love twisting that knife. The "let's bring Mary Winchester in for this episode" knife, the "let's temporarily give Dean back what he lost while also showing Sam what he never got to have" knife. I hate that knife
OH GOD!!! I'm not strong enough for this right now. (And not just because I almost called Sam Shoto, especially since the 1:1 comparison doesn't work for them in this scene.) Watching Dean comfort Mary after a fight on the phone with John, saying what he would have said to her at 3 or 4 years old, and then watching Sam realize how long Dean's been cleaning up John's messes...
Seeing how Sam's memories are all memories that were away from his family (spending Thanksgiving with his first girlfriend's family, the two weeks he ran away in Flagstaff, the night he left for Stanford) where Dean's are all making Sam happy, comforting Mary...I'm not okay.
Fuck off, Zachariah
It's nice to see Ash again. Still just as skilled in heaven. UH. How many times have these two died?? Why is this all of a sudden TAZ: Balance?
GOD I miss Ash. Why did he have to die so early? He might be cool with it, but I'm not
You know that part in A Muppet Christmas Carol where Gonzo Charles Dickens and Rizzo dip because shit's getting bad? Yeah...this new scene with Mary is that for me
FUCK. OFF. ZACHARIAH.
I don't like him but I respect "Lucifer might be strong, but I'm...petty."
SHUT. THE. FUCK. UP. WHAT. This mysterious yet humble man comes in to save the Winchesters' asses to take them to basically the middle of heaven, where people see what the want to see. Some see the Garden of Eden, others god's throne room. DO. YOU. WANT. TO. KNOW. WHAT. SAM. AND. DEAN. SEE??? THE CLEVELAND BOTANICAL GARDENS, BITCHESSSSS. THAT is the ultimate spot in heaven, so everyone else can suck it lmaoooo
I forgot that they were ALSO traveling through heaven to find Joshua.
God..doesn't think Armageddon is his problem???
Oh, Cas. I need to hug him. He's giving up his search for god.
Dean, how dare you throw away that amulet. I don't CARE that it didn't help Cas. SAM GAVE THAT TO YOU. IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FOR YOUR DAD BUT HE GAVE IT TO YOU BECAUSE YOU WERE THE ONE WHO WAS THERE FOR HIM. JAIL FOR DEAN! JAIL FOR DEAN FOR A THOUSAND YEARS!
"Been On My Mind...": Does Pamela kissing Dean count? I'm no sure. So I'll bump it up one but not back up to 10. 9

Season 1, Episode 9: Home
Back in Lawrence
(Again, my aunt lives in Lawrence. I'm never gonna look at the place the same way again)
Surprisingly, it's not about the Winchesters
The Netflix captions said [smooches]
Hey, I like rats!
Unfortunately, a chair will not stop the supernatural
ITS THEIR HOUSE
YELLOW EYES
I KNEW IT
Why is he drawing trees?
"I've noticed" we all have, Dean, that's not helpful
Poor Sam
While we're at it, Poor Dean
Fun fact! I've had this happen to me before!
No they don't 🤣
That'll get their attention
Yay, it's reliving trauma hours!
If there's anything that'll draw John out, it'll be this
That plumber dude is gonna die
Who even owns one of those?
Freaky
Say goodbye to your hand, dude
Oh, that's horrifying
Oh, he knew exactly what he was talking about
The journal is like a cross between Journal 3 and the Holy Grail journal
This lady is a businesswoman. I like her
I want to see pictures of "goofy-looking" young Dean
Huh. She does know stuff
I LIKE her (don't put your feet on the table, Dean)
That's some fun noises coming from upstairs
It always starts with the Winchesters
Not the kid!
It's giving Ghostbusters
No!!! That poor lady!
Oh thank goodness
Dean, certified Himbo
I would trust this lady with my life. And I don't even believe in psychics
Huh. Sam might not get it, but I think I do
She's more of an expert than they are
He tasted it 😂
Oh no...
It's like a snake
That's a creepy basement (and I've been in several)
Spooky
At least Sam is okay
Wow, that place is trashed
Rip Dean, reduced to being a maid
"Don't cuss at me" have I mentioned I like her?
It's not over yet
Dean watches James Bond
Almost word for word...
Ouch!
That hatchet really isn't doing much
Mary???
OHHHHHH, I get it! She was mad about the way she died and the whole place is like a ghost magnet, so she stayed behind!
That's only slightly traumatizing
Because she loves you, duh!
Hi John
Cliffhangers. Gotta love 'em
