Biomechanical Tattoos? History, Design and Style
Biomechanical tattoos depict human organs, skin and flesh mixed with robotic and sci-fi elements. Often, they are tattooed in such a way that it looks like someone’s skin has been peeled off or cracked to reveal the inner workings of machinery, or struts and joints made of metal. Join Andy & Becky for the latest GamesMaster Revisited – which takes a look back at GamesMaster S1E8!
In this episode, the pair waste no time and talk Brookside, what’s hiding under their grandmother’s chair beside the mint humbugs, souffle as a troubling euphemism. This is before they even get to the first challenge.
The opening challenge sees a very cool kid called Chevron tackle Capcom’s Mega Drive smash hit, Strider, in what is cited as the hardest challenge yet! The reviews section covers flight simulators and sees two of Andy & Becky’s least favourite critics make an unwelcome return to the show. Andy discusses his issues with flawed criticism, his disdain for percentages, and Becky lays into Jeremy Daldry’s grasp of history (and his general existence). Andy also brings up his shameful history with flight simulators once again, to further explain why this section did nothing for him.
The preview section showcases ATAC: The Secret War on Drugs and sparks a brief discussion on politics in gaming, and the origins of Batman: Arkham Asylum‘s Rocksteady Games!
The celebrity challenge sees “Neo Geo Baseball World Champion” Emily Cash take on her husband 1987 Wimbledon champion Pat Cash. This gives Andy a chance to hammer the show for faking the credentials of contestants and spend even more time hammering Pat Cash for being an anti-vaxxer, and Becky discusses Pat’s rather interesting take on his post-divorce finances. The challenge is Baseball Stars Professional on the Neo Geo and it sucks.
The Consoletation Zone is rife with scandal as Andy discovers something he learned in the Oral History about the true nature of this section – and it will change this show forever!
The show ends with a with a Terminator 2 puzzle game! How exciting!
