I just remembered that Nendoroids are being sold at freaking TARGET now, and I'll never get over it. O___O Amazing!😀
I'm so glad for kids these days.
Back when Nendoroids were only sold at mall shops, because anime stores were few and comic book shops didn't know Nendoroids well, there were so many bootlegs. Weirdly painted faces, strangely molded sculpts, etc.
I'm so glad these days we can just go to Target to find a Nendoroid, even if the selection isn't that broad. At least with a big chain store, it's more likely they're too afraid to ruin their reputation, to let bootlegs slip through.

Anyways I do hope the rerelease gives them better stands. They're using old promotional pictures so they have those clear stands and while they're nice they're. Weak fhdhdhdhsf. Idk if it's cause my Luigi is second hand cause idk how much he was used before (he still had all his protective wrapping) but that stand struggles to hold him up which isn't super great when half his poses involve jumping djdjdjcjdjsf. However Papyrus is a newer nendoroid (my Luigi is from the 2019 rerelease) and his stand is STURDY. so hopefully they use those stands it's like my one complaint about them lmfao djdjdbdbbdfbfg
#or my stand is just broken fjfhfjsf#the part that goes into the nendoroid is super loose#which is odd cause i didn't even know that part came off and Papyrus' is on super well#and before anyone asks my Luigi isn't a bootleg i've looked at offiicial pictures enough to spot it and i looked at the box very carefully#he's just a nendoroid that typically goes for $60+ second hand and then i got him from an actual game store and he was a little scuffed#so he was $30 fjfbfbdbdbsbfg#so he's got some issues fjdjxnsjdg (mostly messed up box and a painting error i still gotta fix he's missing an overall button)

Hii! I have a small collection of vocaloid related stuff and it's my first time putting most of them on a shelf.. AND I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO DISPLAY THEM :') my mother tried to help me a bit ^^ the picture is kinda crispy :'D
I'd appreciate any help :D
(The sakura figure is bootleg but one of my friends gifted it to me ^^ + some silly stuff I made)
I also have the miku x cinnamoroll nendoroid but she's still in the box and I won't know how to display her :'3
One of life's greatest struggles, how to properly display figures/collectibles.....
I think your display is really cute as it is bc I can see everything there and it's all laid out nicely, but if you feel they aren't getting enough leverage or things are being hidden behind others acrylic display stands may help you out a bit and are usually fairly affordable depending on the style n all that
They may help you get the really cute cinnamoroll nendo out too (^_-)≡☆

so I'm sitting here, dick swanging in the breeze, thinking I wanna cover some older figs that might be helpful to some peeps hopefully 👀
qbits! sorta like nendoroids but with less stuff™ sold on the asmus site with actual stock fairly often
asmus also has ~8" (~22cm) figs that come into stock every now and then. these have several accessories/heads and cloth clothing. very quick to sell out but they are still actively produced
Majima statue by synapse, art/sculpt by midoro, prolly a lil more well known among the older merch pieces. is rare, pretty much gotta come by this via third party. beward of bootlegs tho quality control among real figs tend to vary among reprints
figma! the one where Kiryu gets a golden gun and Majima has a weird face 💖 made by goodsmile tho they have a hard on for never rereleasing them. can get by third party but pretty pricey for a figma imo
roblox looking fuckers by medicom toys for their kubrick line. came bundled with the like a dragon movie from 2007. rare but relatively inexpensive, gotta get via third party. Haruka is huge and will bring about the end of days as the harbinger of destruction
y2 Kiryu fig for the 18th Tokyo Toy Festival (2008) 🎉 comes with a light up base (white / black vers) that shines on his crotch for that sweet low poly action. includes a bat and Ryuji's sword. once again, third party get
#midoro sculpted a cop majima that I wish was commercialized but alas#am excited for the release of the nendos ohohoho#banging my desk MORE FIGS MORE FIGS I LOVE FIGS HOUGH#long post#rgg merch

I’m back!!!!!! do you have any UT or DR merch you wanna show off? :3
YES!!! sooo much. i'll attach everything and then yap under the cut about them. long post incoming! sorry!!!
okay so starting out! i have my plushie collection. i have sans, papyrus, flowey, lancer, and two chapter two ralseis that my bf got me the second he released. one of them is wearing the butler outfit. i got one for free because my first one had stains on arrival. so now i have a second to wear the costume! i also have bootleg sans and papyrus and bootleg asriel.
i have all of the nendoroids sans spamton. the undertale cast is displayed on one shelf and ralsei on another. undyne broke into toriel's house and took the pie that's why she's not on her mountain.
i have the fangamer undertale vinyl boxset! i have the first run boxart with gaster on it [picture included]. he is not in any prints you can get now. i own the fangamer deltarune chapter one and two vinyls as well.
for one of my holy grail pieces of merch, i own the iam8bit undertale vinyls! they stopped making them a long time ago. you can find them average between the 100-200+ range. but the real holy grail is the 7" vinyl. it's in the first picture and then there's a picture of the vinyl attached. it has dogsong on it. it was a preorder bonus for the original vinyl and there were NOT many made because the vinyl went up for preorder in 2015 or 16 iirc. i have only seen like four listings for the dogsong vinyl ever and most sit in the several hundred dollar range. i bought a bundle of the original soundtrack AND the dogsong vinyl for one hundred and fourty dollars. AN INSANE COP. i won. I WON!!!! i had been looking for a good listing for YEARS.
i have quite a few pins although i would like more. i have the flowey fanclub pin, the lancer bike pin. the fanmade ones i own are both mettaton + a ralsei button that i made. on this backpack i also have the mewmew keychain. they stopped selling her a while ago so i had to find her second hand. it was also EXTREMELY difficult to find a listing for her!! but i found one for 15. only two over retail. yay!
i have the cyber city desk mat. i love it very much. i have the nubert beanie that my friend bought me. thanks casper. i have the undertale collectors edition for the switch, and the undertale art book. i have an eshop card that was never active i'm not gonna lie to y'all i just swiped that thing one day. no harm done it's just a piece of cardboard. i own the game on pc, switch, and my xbox. if i owned a ps4 you best believe i'd own it there too. i plan on getting one someday and 60% of the reason is for the ps4 dynamic theme and so i can play all versions of undertale. also i have a lot of undertale stickers and tags, mostly the bonuses from fangamer and such. plus a few art cards from there. oh! and my bf made me that cup + coaster. i love it. when the cup is set down it squishes ralsei.
now for the clothes that i have! i own two sans jackets from fangamer [not pictured i forgor]. i got one in a size too big so had to get a second. i have the shirt showtime, disruption, your best nightmare [it has a little flowey on the back!], the fifth anniversary shirt [it has a bunch of quotes from the game on the back. i love it.], the deltarune hoodie, and the flowey scarf.
as for unofficial clothing, i have two hoodies from etsy. one of them is a chara hoodie, and the other one is a lancer inspired hoodie with a spade that comes down over your face! it's so cool despite the fact i can't see out of it.
i also have a few kandi bracelets that i made and a golden flower headband i made for a cosplay. and with that.. i think that may be it..! i have a few pieces of merch that i really want but that could go into a seperate post. thank you so much for asking! i could talk about this forever haha. if i forgot anything i'll mention it. i'm very forgetful.
shoutout to all the people that have helped me cultivate this collection. a lot of these are gifts or things i've made myself broke buying.

Bakugo hates crowds.
He also hates malls.
Yet where does he find himself at 4pm on a Friday afternoon?
At a crowded fucking mall, no thanks to Kirishima.
Kirishima had begged Bakugo for hours the day before to go with him to check out a pop culture store because he heard rumours that there were Nendoroid figurines of their class and class B.
Bakugo very much not wanting to go, points out that they’re going to be shitty knock offs since none of them have signed any merchandise contracts yet. Logical argument, an easy victory for him.
But Kirishima’s counterpoint?
Pouting and bringing out the puppy dog eyes.
Fucking cheater.
He hates when Kirishima does that. (No, he doesn’t).
So now Bakugo finds himself in an extremely cluttered store, Kirishima’s arm wrapped around his shoulders and directing them between rows and rows of ‘official hero merch TM.’
Bakugo lifts a hand to double check that his face mask and beanie are still secure while Kirishima ushers him along. He wouldn’t be caught dead buying any of this junk, all his All Might figures are 100% authentic, thank you very much.
Kirishima on the other hand, looks like a kid in a candy store, ‘ohhing’ it and ‘ahhing’ at any figure that looks super manly.
That’s one word for them…
Bakugo spots a Best Jeanist figure that makes the fibre hero look like a blue giraffe and can’t help but bark out a laugh.
When they finally get to the rumoured Nendoroid section Kirishima slips his arm of Bakugo and practically lunges towards the shelves, instantly grabbing figures of the ‘Bakusquad’ (their words- not his), then practically shoves the boxes in Bakugo’s face.
Blobs of yellow, pink and black so close to Bakugo’s eyes he goes slightly cross eyed before huffing and softly swatting Kirishima’s hand away, “Again Kirishima, they’re just knockoffs.”
Kirishima dramatically gasps in mock offence, cradling their friends and leaning away as if to shield them, “but they’re real to me!”
Bakugo crosses his arms and scoffs, “You’re such a dork.”
Kirishima shifts the figures into the crook of his elbow as he keeps browsing the shelves, inspecting a Uravity figurine before placing it back on the shelf. “Perhaps. They may be knockoffs, but it’s the fist time I’ve seen us as merch! I want to keep them as a memento before we go pro and get licensed and all that jazz.”
“Sap.”
Kirishima grins in response, then turns his head towards the store clerk, “Hey man, do you have any Dynamight ones?”
Bakugo can’t help the instant blush that spreads across his face, he feels so flustered that the clerk is going to recognise who he is he snatches Kirishima’s sleeve, trying to yank him towards the exit but Kirishima doesn’t budge, the jerk. Giving up, Bakugo quickly hikes his face mask higher up and tugs his beanie down to hide more of his hair.
The shopkeeper shakes his head as he’s stocking the shelves, “Out of stock kid, Dynamight is always the first one to go. Will probably get a restock in a week or so if you want to come back then.”
“Aww, that’s a shame,” Kirishima pouts. He’s clearly disappointed (and Bakugo tries not to read into /that/) before the redhead perks back up with a smirk, leaning against him to whisper “Look at you Mr Popular, already number one. But that’s okay, I’m willing to wait for you.”
Bakugo elbows him in response, tempted to headlock his best friend in public but the wary glare the clerk sends his way stops him. Looking back to the figures he spots a Red Riot looking up at him from the bottom shelf and snatches it up. Now it was his turn to shove a figure into Kirishima’s face, “You forgot someone.”
Kirishima’s eyes flicker down and then away, not as enthused as he was before. “Nah don’t need one of me, I just wanted y- the squad!”
“Which includes you-”
“I only have enough money for these.”
Bakugo pauses, feeling defensive on the redhead’s behalf, because Kirishima was always dismissive of things that represented himself. He knew Kirishima could feel Bakugo eyes staring hard at him, but he pretends to look busy while he shuffles the figures in his arms.
Two can play that game.
Bakugo leans against the shelves and shrugs, “Fine, let’s go so you can buy our pack of nerds,” He watches Kirishima’s shoulders ease in relief of the conversation drop before Bakugo holds up the Red Riot box in his own hand and adds, “But I’m taking Red Riot home with me.”
It was worth it watching Kirishima choke on air, cheeks darkening by the second. Now it was the redhead’s turn to try and snatch the figure out of Bakugo’s hand, whining that it’s not worth it, but the blond skilfully dodges him. He struts up to the counter first to drop more yen than what was needed, telling the clerk to keep the change before speed-walking out, leaving Kirishima to fumble with his figurines and wallet to pay.
When Kirishima finally catches up he lightly whacks Bakugo’s leg with the bag. He lets out an exasperated sigh, but Bakugo can see the small blush that stains his cheeks, “You’re a real gremlin when you want to be.”
Bakugo smirks, bumping his shoulder into him in retaliation, “And don’t you forget it.”

Small guide to make your own Matt.
Sorry in advance for the bad english!
The chibis I painted are bootleg nendo petit. So for Matt I used another bootleg.
Original Light vs Bootleg one I used.
We will need this light because it has the base for the coat.
Materials we will need:
- This bootleg light
- Acetone
- An exacto knife
- Air dry modelable clay (I used cold porcelain, its easy to use, cheap and has a “plastic” appearance when dry.)
- Glue
- Acrylic paint and brushes.
First we will cut that ugly id/cellphone strange object he has in his hand. Next we have to disassemble the little guy. These kind of bootlegs break really easy, so be careful. You can use te exacto knife to help cut the glue.
Next step is to wipe out all of the factory paint with acetone. The parts will look like the character skin color.
Now onto the modifications! Using a reference what we are going to do is model small pieces to put on the coat.
As you can see, I used a pencil to sketch the size of each piece. I also covered the neck just like the reference.
The part where the arm connects to the body also has a detail. We will be adding these details using the reference as guide, it’s ideal to let the air-dry clay sit for a little while before cutting with the exacto and gluing it into our little guy. It has to have elasticity but not so soft, because then it can keep the form better and wont be “smashed” when glued.
Same process for the googles. They have to be thin, because the hair that is a separated piece might come above and wont fit the head it if its too thick. We will be using the same hair that came with the Light figure, because they have a very similar hairstyle, and model an hair piece is far more complicated than these modifications. We want our Matt to look as close as possible as the other figurines.
I made a game console (if that is the correct name, idk about gaming at all, im sorry) and a cigarette to complete Matt, it’s great the Light figure has his arm up so we can glue it there and looks like it belongs.
Painting time!
I repainted my Mello and Near too, because well… they are bootlegs and it was fun. But if you have the original ones I will recomend trying to match nendoroid style of painting so your Matt will look like it’s a real nendo petite.
Yay! We have our Matt. Remember to paint all pieces separated and assamble him AT THE END ONLY. Otherwise you will struggle since he is so small.
If some piece breaks (and it probably will) you can glue it again! Do not give up.
I hope this helped somebody get Mello his bestie (or boyfriend, depending on what you prefer). 🥰

I've seen an uptick in people labeling bootlegs as 'replica' or 'reproduction' and I gotta say I really like this? Like bootlegs stop being fun when people are duped into dropping their money on garbage, so to have sellers straight up admit that this isn't The Good Shit™ and price it accordingly? I really hope this is a trend that continues. Probably a pipe dream though _(:'3」∠)_
#im vaguely trying to price some figures so i can sell off some of my old stuff#so i will probably be seeing a whole lot of bootleg nendoroid in the future#bootleg#good smile company#nendoroid#not pokemon

getting my hands on nendoroid freddy today pushed me into finally reorganizing my fnaf shelf. I realized I have a problem because this isnt even half of my fnaf merch 😭 setting aside the posters and clothes and books i have theres also the 10 hex plushes i own but have no room to display and phsyical copies of all the games. plus my half finished working animatronic of fetch and my springtrap cosplay. If i ever had my own house there could be an entire fnaf room 😵💫
Also that terrible looking backdrop is a tablecloth i got. For my last birthday I ordered fnaf party cups and then amazon fucked up and threw something completely random that i did not order into the box… This bootleg ass tablecloth with the most. awful, amazing renders you ever seen

Would you be willing to take custom nendroid commissions? I will literally give you my wallet 😭🙏
O H MY GOSH
I don't think my skills are up to that level yet! I so appreciate the interest tho 🥺👉👈
In general tho, admittedly idk. Its not an easy thing, so far I've been lucky with finding parts that fit my vision I've put together without having to resort to clay ect to mold hair and stuff or paint completely new colours on.
Some of my nendolls (assuming you mean my dolls as they are technically like bjd rather than standard nendoroids) are done using goodsmilecompany base parts like Neil, his head and hair is official. However jean is bootleg. And I'll be very open about using bootleg parts because finding what I need in what's available is near impossible. The downside is with those bootleg parts there may be scuffs/paint damage (luckily so far I've had none) but also the parts don't fit together completely seamless (Jean's hair has a slight gap at the side. Not noticeable unless you look tbh (and not at all on pics) and I have sticky putty in there to keep it secure.
But tldr: Maybe someday! Right now I have little to no experience in it other than my own put together ones, and I'd feel nervous about the fact they aren't cheap to put together and depending on parts it may not be perfect If you get what I mean! I'm not against the idea in the future! Even if I do eventually offer them what I can get my hands on is limited so there may not be great options for some characters.
I may have overexplained a little but I prefer share my thoughts. I'm doing a couple as Christmas presents for friends so it may give me a better idea!

Well I haven't found any heads that might work to modify for Ramus yet, but going through my heads and parts gave me ideas for other creations and, well...
So far 7 different figurines contributed parts to these customs! (might end up being more by the end if I decide to modify another head instead of sculpting Laike from scratch.)
The base for both was a bootleg Death Note L nendoroid I thrifted for $2 several years ago
Ghaleon's head is a heavily modified Rock Candy Huntress
His ears came off an Equestria Girl
Bottom of his hair came from a blind box anime figurine I was never able to identify
His hands were off a Rock Candy Arwen (the rest of her went into my custom Rock Candy Midna and Zelda figurines a couple years ago)
Neck piece is a legit Nendoroid joint piece, since the knock-off joints that came with L were all broken
Laike's flower came from a resin fairy figurine I bought over almost 2 decades ago that's been slowly breaking over the years (her flowers have ended up on a number of my customs by now lol)
And the rest is a combination of kneadatite (greenstuff), Aves apoxiesculpt, Tamiya putty, acetone goop, zap-a-gap, and assorted jewelry findings.
I'm basically ready to start painting Ghaleon, though ideally I'd like to blend the various pieces of his hair better first. I've done the best I can with a few passes of Tamiya putty and sanding, but it's too tedious due to Tamiya having basically no body. Ideally I'd prefer to use liquid greenstuff, but I've been out of that for years and kinda can't afford to get more right now. (Plus I'm impatient, I dont wanna wait for stuff to ship here I just wanna paaaaaaint XD)
Might add some prison cell bars to one side of the figurine base at some point, tho I'm not positive I have any dowels of skewers the right thickness left at the moment...
Have some earlier progress photos:
The customs I make from absolute scraps and trash are the most satisfying I gotta say. :3c
