The Twins Fight! - what started as a tricky game soon turns into a dramatic argument where the twins cause chaos in their fight against one another
pairing - fem!reader x host club
apart of - ouran add-in
Tumblr media
"Let's all play the ‘Which one is Hikaru’ game!" The twins exclaimed, standing up while the ladies clapped at their announcement. "So, can you tell which one of us is Hikaru?"
"Well, it's hard to say," One lady began, tapping her finger against her chin.
"You're identical!" The other added.
"Many ladies have tried to tell us apart, but so far none have succeeded."
"Oh, they're playing that game again?" Y/n turned to Haruhi, the girls didn't have any customers at the moment. They were just enjoying the less busy crowd and chatting about a book Y/n read recently.
"It's kind of stupid," Haruhi expressed.
"What? Have you got a problem with it, Haruhi?" They overheard her comment, turning to look at the two girls.
"No, it's just odd," She simply spoke, turning her attention back to Y/n.
"Hikaru! Kaoru!" Tamaki spoke, running in with a computer. "When I gave you control of the club's website, I did so on one condition. That you take it seriously!" Tamaki scolded them.
"We take our job very seriously boss," Hikaru responded.
"In fact, last night we worked on it till dawn," Kaoru added.
"Is this what you worked so hard to create?" He pulled up the screen, showing Y/n without her mask on and a shorter dress going up to her knees.
"Oh no," She stood up, grabbing onto the device to look at it. In response to seeing the less-than-accurate image, and realizing what lecture she would receive if her father saw such an image, she slumped to the ground.
"You look great N/n-chan," Honey smiled.
"Pretty," Mori commented, and soon enough the girls were all surrounding the screen trying to catch a glance.
"There, there," Haruhi patted her back.
"My teeth don't look like that," Y/n pouted. "Also my lips are not- never mind. You have to take that down," She walked over to the twins flicking their foreheads. "Kyoya-senpai!" She yelled, wandering off from the mischievous duo.
"When did you take those photos of her?" Tamaki walked up to the twins.
"Didn't you hear her? We didn't," Hikaru explained.
"There is something called Photoshop, boss," Kaoru added.
"Can you do it with her wearing this?" Tamaki lifted a magazine where the main model was wearing a fancy green dress.
"No," They deadpanned, walking away to leave a disappointed Tamaki. Instead, they decided to focus their attention back on Y/n who was arguing with Kyoya.
"I don't care if it got you more views on the website, if you don't want to be sued by my father take it down!" She stated, clearly frustrated and flustered trying to reason with Kyoya. In the presence of the twins, she switched her yelling onto them, taking the computer from Kyoya’s hands and motioning it to the boys. "Take it down," She pushed it in their hands.
"Why? It's fun. When we get bored we make fun."
"No," Y/n rolled her eyes, “This is not fun, this is bad!”
"You're our pet," Hikaru spoke, while Kaoru started working on getting rid of the photo.
"Be a good girl now," Kaoru looked up from over the screen.
"I'm not a dog. I can’t be both of your entertainment like this, you should go on and find a toy."
"You want a toy?" A dark figure appeared from behind a door, candlestick in hand. "Toys, toys. If you like toys then you should come and visit my Black Magic Club," The boy offered. This piqued Haruhi’s interest as she walked over to the mysterious figure to hear more about his offer.
"We've recently opened a marketplace that hosts black magic items from across the globe. We're also holding mass around the clock. If you visit right now, I'll even throw in a free curse doll. You can have Belzenef as your gift."
"Why is he talking to us through a crack in the door?" Haruhi wondered, looking back at the fellow club members.
"Wait a second, has that door always been there?" The twins pondered.
"Nekozawa-senpai likes to hide. He doesn't care for brightly lit places," Kyoya informed the group.
"Don't get involved with that guy Y/n," Tamaki snuck up on her, scaring her. She jumped and flinched where she was standing. "If you do you'll end up being cursed, don't you do it either Haruhi!"
"How do you know?" Y/n asked, moving closer to the door, her arm was about to reach for the doorknob but Tamaki stepped forward to pull her arm back so that she was standing next to her.
"It happened during final exams, at the end of the last school year," Tamaki let go of her wrist since she was trying to shake her hand out of it. He then went on to explain a story where he stepped on a 'cursed' doll, leading to him taking a test in different lettering and he also didn't know any of the students in that class. "I was in a different dimension."
"Scary!" Honey cowered.
"Did that really happen to you?" Haruhi questioned, unsure, trying to hide behind the shorter boy. Y/n walked over to the nervous Honey, bending down a bit and patting his head in a comforting way.
"Don't you worry Honey-senpai, or you either Haruhi-chan. I think Tamaki-senpai just went to the wrong class," Y/n explained while Honey was hugging her.
"It was a curse! I know because I woke up three days later and my legs were as heavy as lead!" Tamaki fired back.
"Your legs were heavy because you ran a marathon the day before, remember?" Kyoya told him, still working on his normal tasks despite the new presence of the man.
"You shouldn't underestimate the dark powers of Belzenef the cursed doll. All you have to do is write the name of someone you hate on his back and then that someone will come into misfortune," Nekozawa popped up, holding the cat doll.
"Wow this guy is dark in more ways than one," Kaoru spoke, and soon he and Hikaru exchanged a glance.
"I wonder what he will think of this," Hikaru showed the flashlight from behind his back before shining it on Tamaki and Nekozawa. Both of them ran away scared, Nekozawa choosing to retreat to his club room.
"How on earth could you two do such a thing? Obviously, the two of you don't know the true terror of the black mirror!" Tamaki shook, but this wasn’t anything the twins paid much attention to, instead just wandering off with complaints that they were bored.
"My dignity as the club's leader is being ignored," Tamaki sulked in his spot.
"Hey, Y/n! We have a favor to ask you," The twins spoke.
"What’s that?" Y/n responded, going over to her bag to search for a new book.
"Can we go to your house?"
"No."
"That could be fun," Tamaki looked up.
"No, it wouldn't. My house is almost the same as yours, it would be different if we were going to Haruhi's, that could be fun," Y/n shrugged, finding her book and taking a seat. Soon enough the twins were standing around Haruhi, hopeful eyes looking upon her.
"No, you're just going to make fun of it," She shook her head, crossing her arms in distaste.
"I think it's about time we all pay our respects to our beloved Haruhi's family!" Tamaki beamed.
"No way in hell, only Y/n can," Haruhi mumbled the last part, looking over at the girl reading intently.
"We can settle this with a game! If you can't pick out which one of us is Hikaru, then your penalty will be the two of us coming over to your house later tonight!"
"It's kind of simple," Y/n commented. "That's Hikaru and that's Kaoru," She pointed to the boys.
"You're wrong."
"No she's right," Haruhi agreed.
"Sure you guys look alike, but that doesn't mean your personalities are the same," Y/n mentioned.
"How did you tell?" One of the girls asked.
"With that hat, it's so hard," Another wondered, Y/n ignored the words of the girls since the book once again captured her interest which made Haruhi have to answer the question.
"Well, how do I put it? It's kinda difficult to explain. But Hiakru's speech and actions make him come across a little more mischievous than Kaoru," Haruhi explained honestly, not truly thinking about her words before speaking them.
"I'm sorry Hikaru, I don't mean to laugh," Kaoru spoke, trying to hold back a laugh but soon ended up breaking into a loud one.
"I don't see what's so funny. I'm honest, I speak my mind, and I don't hold back. It's sneaky people like Kaoru who are the troublemakers," Hikaru argued.
"Don't turn this on me, Hikaru. After all, I'm the one who's always going along with all of your selfish games.”
"I may suggest them but you're the one that gets into them Kaoru. If you hate it so much then why don't you just stop?"
"Because I'd hate to see you make an ass out of yourself, in front of everyone. It was your idea to call Y/n a pet, but I noticed you were quick to make a pass at her. Admit it, Hikaru, you're actually in love with Y/n, aren't you?" Karou smugly spoke, Hikaru getting all flustered.
"You've got it all wrong, Kaoru! Man, you're such a freaking idiot," Hikaru told him annoyed.
"Yeah! There are some things in this world that must never be said," Tamaki buzzed.
"Why would I fall for her? I mean she can't even show her face, she probably looks like a tanuki," Hikaru claimed.
"How dare you call her a raccoon dog?" Tamaki fumed. "You're going to pay for that!"
"Can you guys be quiet-" Y/n tried to speak before a large rumbling cut her off.
Soon enough Renge made another surprise appearance and started to emerge from the ground. "Our beloved Y/n is in the middle of a beautiful yet poignant seven-sided romantic relationship! And to make it even better, two of her admirers are twins, torn apart by love! Just the thought of it could make me eat three bowls of rice!”
"Wait, what did you-"
"Oh butt out, otaku," The twins spoke causing a total flip in Renge’s confidence as she now stepped down from the platform all sad.
"You guys are meanies! You shouldn't say something like that to your manager!"
"But Renge, I thought you had feelings for Y/n as well.”
"I do and it's platonic, but I have no problem with her having relationships on the side. Also after speaking with Haruhi, I'm developing feelings for him as well," Renge announced back to her confident self.
"I'm confused, I thought you had decided to go back to France, Renge," Haruhi walked over.
"Well, I was going to start up a host club of my own… but, I don't think France is ready for a host club, just yet," She told Haruhi, a light blush on her cheeks.
"I don't think anywhere is ever ready for a host club," Y/n commented, Renge was about to mention something else but was cut off by the twins' voices raging at one another.
"Cut it out already! You're the one always crawling into my bed! Talk about annoying," Kaoru yelled.
"I only do that because you look lonely. I wouldn't choose to sleep in your bed, you idiot!"
"Who are you calling an idiot? You're the one who sucks at math."
"Oh yeah, well you're failing your foreign language class you dummy," Hikaru argued, just continuing to go back and forth like little children.
"That's it we're over!" They fumed, walking in opposite directions of one another, stomping off into the distance.
Tumblr media
Later the next day Haruhi and Y/n were sitting beside each other in class chatting before it began.
"What did you think of the fourth chapter?" Y/n asked her friend who was taking out her book.
"I didn't expect Tobio to show up especially him claiming he wanted his daughter back," Haruhi spoke excitedly.
"Hey Y/n, Haruhi!" One twin walked in, flamingo pink hair. "Good morning.”
"Um, Hikaru," Y/n spoke, squinting her eyes in disbelief at what she was seeing. "What did you do to your hair?"
"Why is it dyed pink?" Haruhi wondered.
"Because pink suits me. Don't you think it's cute? From now on I'm the pink-haired twin. I didn't want to be mistaken for that Kaoru for the rest of my life, you know?" Hikaru mentioned, his now blue-haired brother, coming up next to him.
"Good morning Y/n, Haruhi," Kaoru voiced, Hikaru, walked over to an empty seat near Y/n and sat beside her. "I was finally able to sleep all by myself last night, but I ended up having a nightmare. I dreamt my stylist had dyed my hair pink. It was so garish and ridiculous looking, I woke up screaming.”
Hikaru stood up and walked over kicking Kaoru's chair so that he fell. Kaoru then returned the favor, knocking Hikaru down the same way. Once back to their seats, the twins stared at each other and soon enough an all-out war erupted with a multitude of items being flung over Haruhi and Y/n’s heads.
"This is going to be a long day," Y/n grumbled as Haruhi nodded in agreement.
When class was over and it was noontime Haruhi and Y/n decided to chat about the lesson they had just finished learning while walking into the cafeteria.
"I was wondering what all the fuss was about, I can't believe the two of you are still fighting," Tamaki spoke, watching the twins in line arguing about food.  "You're a disgrace to the Host Club!"
"Why is the rest of the club here?" Y/n questioned, turning to Haruhi. Haruhi just shrugged and let Y/n wander over to the group. "Hey guys!"
"N/n-chan!" Honey exclaimed.
"Hey, look who it is!" A short-haired girl spoke, joining hands with another.
"I've never seen them all together like that," Another one commented.
"We've had enough of this, you're both to blame for this fight," Honey said, then pulling out a cake. "Hika-chan and Kao-chan I want you to make up and then go halfsies on this cake, 'kay? But I want to have a piece too, and N/n-chan should get some, so I guess we're gonna have to have fourthsies," Honey went on babbling in an attempt to try and figure out how to cut the cake.
Y/n just walked over to the nox distressed and anxious boy, lifting him, and taking him over to Mori.
"You're just making it worse, leave them alone," Mori told Honey, moving him far away from the irritated twins.
"Oh, Y/n! I didn't expect to run into you in the dining hall," Tamaki fangirled, rushing over to the girl who was watching Honey now munching on the cake he was once going to share.
"Haruhi and I decided to follow the twins here, they have been acting odd all day," Y/n looked over to her senpai.
"I brought a boxed lunch and I just wanted to eat it in the classroom," Haruhi mumbled, walking over to where the host club now decided to eat lunch.
"A boxed lunch?" Tamaki repeated.
Tumblr media
In Tamaki's head
"Tamaki, darling, I hope you will accept this food I made. I'm not amazing at cooking, but I made it with love!"
"I will eat anything you make Y/n, it's always beautiful and tastes delicious," Tamaki declared
Tumblr media
"I will eat it!" Tamaki spoke out loud.
"I have no idea what you're talking about," Kyoya mumbled.
"Ah," Y/n ordered beside Kyoya, pointing out the dish of her choice
"Our chef makes amazing crab, it truly is so delicious the way he seasons it. Maybe once you can come visit and try the dish," Kyoya mentioned, the two walking towards the lunch table that the Host Club members were currently occupying.
"Damn rich people," Haruhi grumbled.
"Haruhi, come sit over here!" Y/n waved her over, but instead of just Haruhi another friend had joined alongside them, Hikaru.
"What's that, what do you have for lunch?" He questioned, watching Haruhi take her seat.
"Yesterday's leftovers, and a rolled omelet,"
"Haruhi you want to switch?" Y/n looked over at the mouthwatering expression on Haruhi’s face as she stared at Y/n’s food. With a happy nod, the two exchanged their meals.
"This is amazing!" Haruhi exclaimed, tasting the food.
"Great! I usually like to eat more in private, so I can just save yours for later!"
"Y/n, I got a meal that you’ll enjoy. Want to try it, all you have to do is take your mask off," Kaoru softly grabbed her chin, tugging it closer towards him with one hand while his other held a fork with a piece of his meal on it.
Hikaru chomped the food off of the fork instead of the intended recipient, "Quit butting in Kaoru." At the possibility of another fight, Y/n moved out of her seat and grabbed Haruhi's hand to take her with her. Just as they were out of the line of fire Kaoru threw his soup at his twin but missed the wanted target and instead, it got splashed all over Tamaki.
"I'm going to go eat alone now," Y/n quietly muttered over the yelling of the twins, choosing to take her leave from the noisy group.
After the whole cafeteria incident, the group (excluding the twins) met up again in the club room, hoping to relax with some tea and discuss the problematic antics of the twins.
"Looking at the numbers, if this situation isn't resolved, I'm afraid we're going to have to stop offering our brotherly love package. We're down one pair of loving brothers," Kyoya announced, typing in some digits into his calculator. "Oh, Haruhi, I just want you to know there's no reason for you to feel responsible, even though it was your tactless comment that started this whole feud between the twins."
"It's weird for Hika-chan and Kao-chan to be fighting like this," Honey spoke, playing with Usa-chan. "It's never happened before."
"They have never fought before?" Haruhi pondered, looking over at Honey.
"I've known Hika-chan and Kao-chan since we were in preschool. We weren't in the same year so I never really got to talk to them, but I remember that the two of them always played together," He told the group.
"Yeah that's true, I mean I've only known the twins since middle school but they have always stood out," Tamaki added, he went on about how the twins had been together for a while, saying it might not be such a bad thing they are fighting.
Yet quickly his former opinion changed when the twins finally arrived and they were still fighting, Tamaki quickly getting annoyed at the twins’ reckless behavior.
"Don't you guys think it's maybe time to give up all this fighting?" Tamaki wondered. "It's driving me insane."
"What'd you say? It is driving you insane? You've got to be kidding me, how do you think I feel? Every time I look in the mirror I see his face. I'm sick and tired of being mistaken for you Kaoru! The truth is I hate your guts!" Hikaru snapped.
"You took the words right out of my mouth. In fact, I hate you so much, I bought this. Belzenef curse doll!" He pulled out the cat doll and a marker. "I'm going to complete the curse, Hikaru, I'm going to write your name on his back. From this day forward you are going to experience nothing, except misfortune and sorrow."
"Okay, this is getting to be enough," Y/n interrupted. "All because of some comment, that didn't even mean to offend you guys."
"Yes!" They both screamed. Mori rushed over to take Y/n’s hand in an attempt to bring her back into safety if they decided to start one of their throwing tantrums again. He did not want to see the girl getting injured once again.
Haruhi finally had it, truly annoyed at the way they were treating her friend and how stupid they were being about an argument that didn’t make much sense. They were acting like toddlers.
"Will you guys knock it off?" She smacked the sides of their heads. "What do you think you're doing? You don't bring something like this into a petty fight,” she motioned to Belzenef, “Both of you are at fault here, but what is truly sad is that you're bringing everyone else into your big mess! Now apologize to each other, if you don't make up right now I'm never going to let you come over to my house!" Haruhi threatened.
"So, then what you're saying Haruhi is that if we make up, we can come to your place?" The twins questioned at the same time.
"Oh, no," Y/n whispered, slapping her forehead, she figured out the mischievous plan they were trying to hatch all along. Haruhi slowly turned the doll around just for it to be blank, her face dropping in fear.
"I'm so sorry Kaoru, even though I was just following our script I said such awful things to you. I'm not fit to be your brother," Hikaru apologized.
"Don't say that Hikaru! I was so worried, I couldn't live with myself if I ever thought I had hurt you," They embraced each other, repeating apologies.
"You've got to be kidding! You mean you guys were faking it this whole time?" Honey shouted, arms flaring above his head.
"We didn't have anything else to do, we were bored!" They told him, laughing with each other. Haruhi was now sulking to the ground where Y/n moved in attempts to try and comfort her.
"Twins with too much time on their hands, are the devil," Tamaki concluded.
Tumblr media
Later on the next day, the club was back to running like normal, with no obnoxious feuds between the twins but instead back to their game.
"Okay, it's time to play the ‘Which one is Hikaru’ game!" The boys announced.
"I know," A girl with short hair raised her hand. "The twin with the pink hair is Hikaru!"
"We have a winner!"
"So, are you two going to keep your wild hair color even though you made up? It's much easier to tell the two of you apart now," A girl with longer hair spoke.
"Not really," Y/n sighed, sitting up in her seat where she was eating cake with Honey. "The blue is Hikaru and the pink is Kaoru, they switched for the day," She then continued back with munching on the sweet treat while the twins stared in astonishment.
"Do you realize what happened Hikaru? Until now, there were only two groups of people, 'us' and 'everyone else'. But for the first time, someone's crossed into our world."

Lavender for Royalty; Sage for Wisdom
Kyoya Ootori x Reader
Chapter Nine: Heliotrope for Devotion
Summary: While the Host Club argues about the events at the beach, Kyoya decides to try to teach a lesson.
“I can’t believe Tamaki said that,” said Haruhi, still fuming as she and (Y/N) went to the basement. The lights had gone out due to the storm, so they needed to flip up the circuit breaker. “What does being a girl have to do with anything?”
“Even if we got into a bit of trouble, it was the right thing to do,” agreed (Y/N). “We can’t just run away when men act like that. It lets them get away with it again.”
“Are you sure you’re okay, though, senpai?” said Haruhi. “You hit the water pretty hard.”
            (Y/N) smiled. “Yes, I’m fine.”
Haruhi breathed out a sigh of relief. “I don’t think Tamaki is right, but I would have felt pretty bad if you’d gotten hurt,” she admitted.
“You wouldn’t have to,” said (Y/N). “It was my decision to fight them like I did. If I hadn’t landed the hits I did, they wouldn’t have thrown me over the cliff.” (Y/N) walked to the circuit breaker and flipped it. The lights flickered back on, and (Y/N) smiled at Haruhi. “And I don’t regret hitting them. It was extremely satisfying.” They grinned wider. “The only thing I regret is not breaking that guy’s arm when I had the chance. I had the right leverage, just a little more force…” They brightened. “Oh, well. It wouldn’t have been the best for my reputation, I suppose.”
            “Senpai…You’re a little scary.” Haruhi sweat-dropped.
(Y/N) chuckled. “Let’s get to dinner.”
Haruhi nodded, and they walked back up the stairs together.
“By the way, how did you end up in a sundress?” said (Y/N). “Did Tamaki put that in your room?”
“My dad,” said Haruhi, deadpanning. “He replaced all my changes of clothes.”
(Y/N) chuckled. “That sounds like your dad. You can borrow some of my clothes if you don’t feel comfortable.” They had simple loose trousers and some simple collared shirts—put-together enough as a host but relaxed enough to just hang with their friends.
“I don’t mind dresses,” said Haruhi, shrugging. She glanced at (Y/N) as they walked. “Do you…?”
“Mind dresses?” (Y/N) waved a hand. “Don’t worry. I don’t mind answering questions.” They shrugged. “I don’t mind dresses. I wear a lot of masc clothing during school, but I occasionally wear some fem clothing when off campus.”
Haruhi nodded in understanding and pushed open the door of the dining room where the other hosts and Nekozawa were playing some strange game (really, the hosts were playing, and Nekozawa was “terrorizing” Tamaki). Tamaki and Nekozawa were screaming as the lights flickered on, and Haruhi rolled her eyes.
“The circuit breaker was down,” said Haruhi. “We found it in the basement and flicked it up.”
            “No ghosts,” said (Y/N).
“…Haruhi, are those clothes yours?” said Hikaru, surprised.
“Yeah. My dad repacked my bag,” said Haruhi. “Not very practical, but it’s what I had.”
Good job Haruhi’s dad! thought the twins and Honey (and Tamaki, secretly, but he was still frustrated with Haruhi).
“Haruhi, you’re so cute!” said Honey.
“Where’d Nekozawa go?” said (Y/N), looking around. The host of the Host Club had disappeared.
“He wanted to turn in early,” said Kyoya, not looking up from his notebook. (Y/N) frowned as their heart clenched at his lack of acknowledgement of them. “The electricity was a shock to him.”
“(Y/N), Haru, we have fancy tuna!” said Honey, gesturing the table.
They sat down, and Haruhi was about to reach for the fancy tuna, but, childishly, Tamaki grabbed it and stuffed it into his mouth (he wanted Tamaki’s attention but wasn’t willing to speak to her). Everyone deadpanned, and (Y/N)’s eyebrow twitched.
            “There’s…um…crab, too!” said Honey hurriedly.
“I’ll have that,” said Haruhi, picking it up and cracking it open.
(Y/N), wisely staying out of the situation, reached out to eat some oyster spaghetti instead of crab.
“Crab, Tamaki? Here.” Haruhi held out a leg.
Everyone stared. She was talking to him? Tamaki’s eyes widened, and he took it. He deadpanned.
“It’s just the shell,” said Haruhi, monotone.
Payback for the tuna… thought everyone.
In retaliation, Tamaki reached for some crab, but Haruhi stabbed the table with her knife, blocking his path.
“Haruhi can be…childish, apparently,” said Kaoru.
Kyoya hummed slightly in acknowledgement, but as he looked up, his eyes only went to (Y/N) where they ate calmly. They didn’t seem shaken or thinking at all about what they had done in the afternoon, the danger they’d been in.
“Who do you think you are, the twins?!” said Tamaki, glaring at Haruhi.
“I thought you weren’t talking to me?” said Haruhi, rolling her eyes.
A giant irk mark appeared on Tamaki’s forehead “So you have no intention of reconsidering. Fine, then! I’m going to bed!” He walked to the door, and a servant bowed.
“I will show you to your room. This way,” said the servant.
Tamaki peered down the dark, spooky corridor. “Um…Kyoya…?” He pouted. “Aren’t you ready for bed?”
Kyoya sighed and stood. “I’ll turn in early, too.”
He and Tamaki headed out, and (Y/N)’s eyes remained on the door as it swung closed. They hesitated before standing. “I’m going to head to bed, too.” They smiled. “Goodnight, everyone.”
            “’Night!” said Honey.
“I’ll see you in the morning,” said Haruhi, nodding.
(Y/N) headed to the door and stepped out. They turned down the hall and walked in the direction of their and the rest of the hosts’ rooms. They were tired, yes, but they had business to attend to before dinner. Tamaki and Haruhi fighting was disrupting the peace, and they needed to get them to talk things out and explain they were both right and wrong—Haruhi and (Y/N) had gotten into some trouble, but they had done the right thing, and Tamaki had been right to be a bit worried, but he had been wrong to get angry instead of expressing his concern in a healthy manner.
And so, (Y/N) was going to talk to Kyoya. He knew Tamaki well, (Y/N) knew Haruhi well, and together they could get them to talk. (Sure, Kyoya preferred not to get involved in these things, but (Y/N) knew he would want the Host Club to remain cordial and working well).
They arrived at his door and knocked. “Kyoya?” The door opened at their simple knock, not completely closed. Awkwardly, (Y/N) stepped in and looked around. “Kyoya?” A gust of wind blew the door closed, (Y/N) jumped. The shutters banged as the winds of the storm picked up, and (Y/N) huffed. They walked over and pulled the window closed properly.
            “(Y/N)?”
(Y/N) turned, and their face could’ve been painted red. Kyoya stood in the doorway of the bathroom, shirtless with pajama pants hanging loosely around his hips. Quickly, they bowed apologetically. “I’m so sorry, the door was opened, I didn’t realize you were showering—”
“It’s fine,” said Kyoya, running a hand through his damp hair. Without his glasses on, his dark eyes were more piercing than usual, and as his gaze landed on (Y/N), they found themself rooted in place. “I wanted to speak to you.”
“You did?” (Y/N) had thought he was frustrated or something since he hadn’t spoken, but if he wanted to talk, that was good, right?
“Yes. You and Haruhi caused quite some trouble for us,” said Kyoya. He walked towards (Y/N). “Tamaki told me the twins nearly tried to kill those boys. We had to send flowers worth several thousand dollars to our guests.”
            (Y/N) winced. That was trouble.
“But there is an easy solution.”
Kyoya stood in front of (Y/N), and as they took a step back—oh my god, he’s so close, spiraled their thoughts—their legs hit the bed. Kyoya caught them as they teetered back, and he lowered them to the bed. (Y/N)’s eyes widened as he leaned over them, his legs between theirs, one hand at their waist as their shirt rode up to expose skin, and the other above their head. Instinctively, (Y/N)’s hands went to his shoulders, unsure of what was about to happen. This was very forward of Kyoya, and their heart thumped quickly in their chest.
“You can pay me back with your body,” said Kyoya, his breath ghosting over their ear. “After all…I’m a man. You’re attractive and weaker than me. It would be quite easy for me to take advantage of that.”
And then all of (Y/N)’s surprise, nervousness, and tiny amount of fear left them. They smiled and laughed. Kyoya’s eyes widened slightly at the reaction, and (Y/N) lifted a hand to his cheek.
Kyoya’s heart thumped suddenly in his chest at the touch and the softness in their gaze as they looked up at him. Suddenly, although he had intentionally placed himself in such a situation, Kyoya was acutely aware of the feeling of their legs almost wrapped around his hips and his hand on the skin of their waist. He sat back, heart still pounding, and (Y/N) sat up.
“You were trying to teach me a lesson, weren’t you?” said (Y/N) gently. They chuckled and shook their head. “You certainly do things in a unique way.”
“You were in danger,” said Kyoya. “You didn’t even think; you immediately put yourself in harm’s way.” His dark gaze pierced (Y/N)’s once more. “Do you understand what it felt—what is was like to see you falling from the cliff? If you had hit a rock, you would be dead. Or if those boys had done something to you—”
“I know,” said (Y/N), reaching out and touching Kyoya’s arm boldly. “I know I should’ve thought more. Haruhi and I should’ve hit them and run with the girls. But we gave the guests a chance to leave, first. We’d rather be in danger than them.” They smiled gently and squeezed his arm slightly. “And I can’t regret protecting people. Do you understand, Kyoya? I don’t regret it. I understood the danger. I know what men are capable of. But…thank you for worrying.”
“How did you know?” said Kyoya, looking at them. “How did you know I wasn’t capable of that?” He needed them to understand there was always danger. He didn’t want them to trust the wrong person and get hurt. He didn’t want them hurt.
“Kyoya, you wouldn’t take advantage of someone,” said (Y/N) simply. “That’s not who you are.” They smiled at him. “I could never fear you.”
Kyoya stared at them, and that sudden twisting in his heart lit up into a fire. Oh. He had never felt this feeling, but he recognized it immediately. He knew it from the way he watched the moonlight slant across their face—the one that was so handsome. He knew it from the way he enjoyed the softness in their gaze. He knew it from the way he listened so eagerly to their honesty and trust. Kyoya liked (Y/N). He had feelings for them.
Kyoya smiled slightly and chuckled as the feeling welled up in his heart. “That’s not who I am? I’m sure many would disagree.”
“You’re strategic, sure,” said (Y/N). “You’re the Shadow King of the Host Club. But you’re not a cruel man. Not in that way. Not ever. I trust you.”
“What an interesting notion…” said Kyoya softly, gazing at them. His hand raised to cover theirs on his arm. “You have a strange perspective of me.”
“I’m your friend. I see you for who you are,” said (Y/N), smiling.
Kyoya’s newfound feelings burned more ferociously within his heart as he heard their words. “I…apologize for attempting to frighten you. It was wrong of me.”
“It was,” said (Y/N). “But I don’t mind. I’m alright.” In fact, it was kind of nice… They had to quickly shake that thought away. They dropped their hand from his arm and stood. “I’ll leave you now. I just wanted to say that Haruhi and Tamaki need to talk.”
“Tamaki already plans to speak to Haruhi,” said Kyoya.
“Good,” said (Y/N). They smiled. “Well…goodnight, Kyoya.”
“Goodnight, (Y/N).” He watched them head to the door and hesitated. “(Y/N).”
They looked back at him. “Yes, Kyoya?”
“I’m glad you’re alright. I don’t enjoy seeing you in danger,” said Kyoya. He was quite pleased as (Y/N) smiled wider.
“I know,” said (Y/N). “Thank you for saving me.”
Kyoya nodded and watched them leave. As the door swung closed, he spoke softly. “I always will.”

His eyes then drifted to a student not too far from them. He hadn't spoken to them a lot, but he knew they were very quiet. They always preferred to stay by themselves in a corner. He was curious to know if it was because they scared everyone away like Nekozawa-senpai or if they were just shy. Either way, they had grabbed Hikaru's attention and he wanted to know more about them.
Finally, the hell rang, finishing the boring class and letting the students free of having to hear their teacher drone out any longer. Hikaru and Kaoru stood and stretched at the same time, they always were in sync, some weird twin thing probably. Hikaru then turned to where the quiet student was and looked as they packed their bag to leave. They seemed to be taking their time, probably wanting to be last to leave.
Walking up to the student's desk, Hikaru placed his hand on their desk and leaned on it, staring down at the still-sat person. The student immediately became stiff, seemingly frozen as they stared back at him. Hikaru then gave them a mischievous smile, making their face suddenly warm up.
"Now who could you be?" He asked them, a teasing tone to his voice. The student kept still, face still warm as they started at the older Hitachin twin. They couldn't deny they were attractive and that they were charming. They could tell the older one was more mischievous than his younger counterpart. The way he stared at them made them freeze up in place and forget how to respond. They felt like they'd forgotten how to breathe once he'd set his eyes on them.
"Who are you talking to Hikaru?" Kaoru said, looking at his twin. Hikaru usually told him if he was going to make a prank on someone so they'd do it together, the fact he didn't say anything meant Hikaru wasn't planning anything like that.
"Just with cutie over here" The older twin replied. (Y/N)'s face somehow got even warmer at the pet name. They were suddenly scared they'd forget how to breathe and would die on the spot. That'd be so embarrassing!
"Leave them alone Hikaru," Haruhi suddenly cut in, "You're obviously making them uncomfortable." Uncomfortable wasn't really the right word, they were more flustered. "Plus, we have to go the host club soon, Tamaki isn't gonna shut up if we're late." The honorary student said as they put on their bag, leaving the classroom shortly after.
"You're no fun Haruhi" The twins did in sync. "But, they're right anyways," Kaoru said by himself. "I'd rather not get chewed out by Tamaki today." Kaoru then took his bag, going after Haruhi. "C'mon Hikaru, let's go."
"Alright," Hikaru replied, taking his own bag, "I'm coming." He then left the quiet student by themselves. (Y/N) seemed to immediately break from their petrified state when they saw the twin leaving. "Wait!" They exclaimed before he could leave the room. Hikaru turned his head at them, making a sound of acknowledgment while looking at them.
"(Y/N), my name is (Y/N)." They finally replied. Hikaru then smirked at them, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "(Y/N), hope to see you soon cutie." He winked at them, leaving them behind in the classroom to chase after his twin.

Tumblr media
ok hi yeah! obviously first up we have these guys!
Tumblr media
all dangans, all within the world so we could very easily come up with some twisted stuff! i even have an au where ryota was actually a part of the very first student council killing game (he is the student council member in charge of anime club lmao it's a bit silly but mostly hardcore i promise)
rest below the cut as i may end up rambling!
the next thought is TARO YAMADA, my own heavily divergent take of the titular senpai character from yandere simulator -- he has a lucky student au, but if you want junko to integrate into academi high say right after or during the tragic killings of all those girls? that'd be interesting as well
i have KAORU, with a dangan au, but also junko integrating into ouran high school and being quite the menace -- either cartoonishly like nekozawa or she too turns this school into a bloodbath idk!
how about CHARLIE from hazbin hotel? junko's definitely going to hell after that intense execution, and she would most definitely serve and also never be up for redemption basically just coming to the hotel to fuck around and test charlie's patience lol
lastly there's YUSUKE, either with a dangan au or junko taking perhaps an akechi-ish role within the world of p5 but she pretends to have a personality like ann for the most part until the ball drops -- perhaps ann is even a fan of junko's modeling?? and that's how yusuke knows of her

when i was around 12 a friend and i really got into shipping renge and nekozawa senpai. Almost a decade later ive remembered it and looked into it again and im surprised theres still hardly any content about the idea online. you seem more connected to the ouran + ouran manga fandoms than me- is this just a teenage delusion that no one else shared, is there a ship name that i never googled, do people just not like renge and not ship her with anyone, is there something in the manga that counteracts this, idk what are your thoughts? its been in my mind a lot lately as i go back to nostalgic properties and nowadays when i think of ouran fanworks i think of your comics so thats why i sent this your way. hope you have a nice day!
honestly, I wasn't super up on the fandom lore for many many many years, so who am I to say!! but I haven't really seen much about those two! They are both funny and intense and Renge loves a dramatic character with secret depth! I could see it! And he is quite dashing under that hood lol. (Personally, I always thought Nekozawa had a bit of a crush on Tamaki, but that he might have to work up to going out in the light before he would be ready for a relationship with anyone)
I've definitely seen a few ships with Renge - her and Haruhi the most? (maybe just me but I was always curious about Renge crossing paths with the Lobelia girls lol! they are all very passionate, only about different things! but especially with her love for iconic archetypes, I feel like there's more overlap than they realize)
anyway, I feel like with any piece of media shipping trends form in different ways and vary a lot with something as old as Ouran, people are drawn to different things for their own reasons, but reading on in the manga only made me like both Renge and Nekozawa more!! and with the bonus chapters (Mei and Kasanoda end up together!!) I feel like it's left open for a lot of characters to potentially get together.

Lavender for Royalty; Sage for Wisdom (Book 1) Chapter Eight
Kyoya Ootori x Reader
Chapter Eight: Rhododendron for Danger
Summary: The Host Club goes to the beach, and (Y/N) and Haruhi have their worst experiences with the club yet.
“(Y/N), why don’t you come in the water?” said some of the guests as they walked down the beach.
“Yeah!” said another girl. “Haruhi, you should join us!”
“Haruhi and I would rather just watch,” said (Y/N), smiling.
“Are you sure?” said a guest.
Haruhi smiled. “Go on and have fun.”
“You all look so cute in your swimsuits, we don’t want them to go to waste,” said (Y/N).
The girls blushed before squealing and running to the water. (Y/N) shook their head in amusement, and Haruhi deadpanned about how easy it was to fluster the guests.
“We were so tricked into this,” said Hikaru. “I didn’t think we’d have customers here.”
“We should’ve caught on when Kyoya greenlighted the trip,” said Kaoru.
“Don’t you know him by now?” said (Y/N), chuckling.
“Fools of summertime!” said Tamaki, grinning proudly. “This is all according to plan. Why would the general public view my daughter in her bathing suit?”
“Tamaki, you really do need to stop referring to Haruhi as your daughter,” said (Y/N), leaning back on their arms.
Tamaki ignored (Y/N) as he sighed dreamily. “In the evening, when everyone else has gone home, I shall walk along the beach with Haruhi, who will wear a fetching white sundress.”
            The twins deadpanned.
“Summertime fools are one thing,” said Kaoru. “But to be one year round is sad.”
“So true,” said Hikaru. “Anyway, why are we in Japan instead of the Caribbean?”
“What is our budget, again?” said (Y/N), frowning.
“I can assure you we are perfectly within our means,” said Kyoya, barely looking up from his notebook.
“It must be rich means,” said (Y/N). Who else could get a beach?
“Are you all having fun?” A spooky voice appeared over Tamaki’s shoulder, and Tamaki screamed. Nekozawa had arrived.
“We’re at Nekozawa’s private beach,” said the twins, looking at (Y/N) with a shrug.
“Aha, a discount,” said (Y/N), looking at Kyoya.
            “Precisely,” said Kyoya.
“Kyoya! We were going to visit your beach!” said Tamaki (he was terrified of Nekozawa).
“Unfortunately, one of my father’s clients is using it. It was a sudden request, and Haruhi preferred somewhere within the country,” said Kyoya. “She doesn’t have a passport.”
“Nekogaiwa is a sacred spot for the guardian of the Nekozawa family,” said Nekozawa. He gestured to the strange formation of rocks that looked like a cat (as did everything in his family). “According to legend, anyone who jumps off the rock will never rise again. Nice, huh?”
Tamaki looked terrified, and the twins just rolled their eyes.
“There seems to be a courageous challenger,” observed Nekozawa.
“Haruhi!” shouted Hikaru, Kaoru, and Tamaki.
“Oh, dear, those are jagged rocks,” said (Y/N), frowning.
The three men were already running to get her down before she hurt herself, though, so they didn’t have to move.
“(Y/N), you should come seashell hunting!” said Honey, running up to them excitedly.
            (Y/N) smiled. “Sure, Honey.”
“But, senpai, it’s not the right season or tide—” whispered Haruhi.
(Y/N) pointed at the police squad putting out sea urchins, shells, and clams while Honey happily picked them up. “They’re apologizing to him.”
            Haruhi deadpanned. Rich people…
“Come on, (Y/N)! Come on, Haru!” said Honey.
(Y/N) and Haruhi smiled and headed over to help Honey.
“So cute,” said Tamaki, watching the three collect shells with stars in his eyes. “Right, Kyoya?!”
Kyoya looked up from his notebook to watch (Y/N) pick up a shell and hum pleasantly as they listened to the sound of the ocean within. “Mm.” He hummed noncommittedly.
“Here, Haruhi,” said Kaoru. “It’s a huge scallop. Do you like scallops?”
“I like it.” Haruhi smiled. “Thanks, Kaoru.”
“Haruhi, a turban shell!” said Tamaki, trying to get a cute reaction. “Do you like them?”
“Look here, a blue mussel! Do you like them?” said Hikaru.
“Haru, a clam!” said Honey happily.
            “Octopus,” said Mori.
“Enough already!” shouted Haruhi as she was crowded.
“Here’s abalone,” said Kyoya, holding a smooth, iridescent shell out to (Y/N).
“Very pretty,” said (Y/N), smiling. They reached out and glanced at him. “May I?”
Kyoya dropped it into their palm, and he watched them put it in their bag at their towel. He stood a tiny bit straighter.
“Look, Haruhi, a giant crab!” Tamaki was still trying to impress Haruhi. “Do you like crabs?”
“Eee!” The guests screamed as a millipede crawled out of the crab. “Gross! A bug!”
“Where’d that come from?” said Haruhi, picking up the bug. Calmly, she tossed it back into the bushes.
“I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and say you’re a kind of girl who likes bugs…” said Kaoru.
“I don’t like them,” said Haruhi.
“Who was going to help? You two?” said (Y/N).
“But couldn’t you at least let it go on the grass or something?” said Hikaru.
“It’s a fine. A fall won’t kill it. And I threw it to the grass,” said Haruhi, shrugging.
“Haruhi, you’re so manly!” said the girls, hearts floating around them.
“It’s alright, girls,” said Haruhi to them.
The twins huffed. They had been looking forward to Tamaki’s antics “protecting” Haruhi. It seemed she wasn’t afraid of anything. A lightbulb went off above their heads, and (Y/N) sighed. That couldn’t be good.
“Hey, Boss, we thought of a game.” The twins leaned towards him with identical smirks. “It’s called, ‘Who can find Haruhi’s weakness?’ ”
            “An evil-minded game!” said Tamaki.
“You two need to work on boundaries,” sighed (Y/N).
“I’m sorry. Do you two not have the confidence to play? You’d have to be pretty close to her to find out her weakness, huh?” said Hikaru and Kaoru, easily goading the pair.
            “Still no,” said (Y/N).
“The rules?” Tamaki fell for the trap.
“The deadline is tomorrow at sunset,” said the twins with smirks. “Whoever finds her weakness first wins.”
“And? What’s in it for the winner?” said Tamaki.
“Assorted photos of Haruhi’s middle school days,” said Kyoya, holding up a packet.
Kaoru, Hikaru, and Tamaki were extremely invested and ran off to make plans. Honey saw them and excitedly chased after them, Mori not far behind.
(Y/N) leaned on the back of Kyoya’s beach chair and raised a brow. “How do you have those? No, more importantly, why do you have those?”
“It’s quite easy to get them to leave me alone with some incentive,” said Kyoya with his closed-eye smile, very signature Kyoya but oh-so evil at the same time.
“Poor Haruhi, getting pulled into your plans,” said (Y/N), shaking their head.
“Would you rather I used your middle school pictures?” said Kyoya.
“I doubt Tamaki would get excited over those,” said (Y/N). Thankfully. No one needed to see any middle-school phases of theirs. (Hey, experimentation in fashion is valid. It’s also embarrassing). They paused. “Do you really have those?”
Kyoya smirked. “Do you want to find out?”
“Nope,” said (Y/N) easily, smiling. “I’d rather not.”
“Pity. I’m waiting for a chance to use them,” said Kyoya.
“I can’t tell if you’re teasing me or not,” said (Y/N), looking down at him.
“Do I tease?” said Kyoya, raising a brow.
            “Absolutely,” said (Y/N), grinning.
“Then perhaps I am,” said Kyoya with a light smirk.
            (Y/N) chuckled.
“(Y/N)!” said a guest, smiling. “Will you come with us up onto the cliffs?”
“We wanted a view of the sunset,” said a second girl. “It will be so romantic!”
“Of course I’ll come,” said (Y/N). “I’m sure it will be beautiful. And I can take some photos for you all if you’d like.” Plenty of the guests were active on social media and would love the opportunity.
“You’re so sweet!” squealed the two.
“Bye, Kyoya,” said (Y/N), turning away to walk up the rocks with the girls. It wasn’t a tough hike, luckily, just a few minutes’ walk, but (Y/N) was a gentleman, so they helped the guests up the rocks all the same.
“Thank you, (Y/N),” chorused the pair, blushing as (Y/N) held their hand to guide them.
“Wow, it’s so beautiful,” said one of the guests, sighing as she looked out at the sunset.
“Imagine having a date here,” said the other girl.
            “With Nekozawa? I’d be scared…”
“He’s letting us use his beach. It’s very nice of him,” reminded (Y/N). “Who knows? Maybe he’s a gentleman with a penchant for magic.” They winked playfully, and the girls squealed. “Now, who wants pictures?”
“Are you sure we look good?” said a girl nervously.
“You’re always beautiful,” said (Y/N), smiling and taking one of the guest’s phone to take photo of the group together. They smiled shyly, and (Y/N) snapped the pictures from several angles while the girls blushed. “There.” They handed the phone back
            “Thank you!” said the girls.
            “Hey, look what we found.”
(Y/N) bristled and turned, eyes narrowed. Three boys were walking up the rocks—trespassers on the beach. The two guests’ eyes widened, and (Y/N) moved in front of them.
“Wow, it’s a party,” said one boy, grinning widely.
“With only pretty girls, too,” said the second. “You must be bored.”
The third leered. “Well, not all girls. But still pretty.”
“Leave,” said (Y/N), standing in front of the girls. “This is a private beach.” The way the boys were looking at them and the girls sent a disgusted shiver down their spine, but (Y/N) had to remain firm and strong in front of the boys.
“Ooh, rich kids, huh?” One of the boys stepped forward and tried to grab a girl’s wrist. She stepped back, and (Y/N) stepped towards him to get him to back off.
“Oh, come on, we can have some fun,” simpered the second, reaching for (Y/N).
“Not a chance,” said (Y/N), slapping his arm away.
“You little—Ow!” He jumped back with his friends as spiky urchins hit his shirt.
Haruhi stood, stone-faced, behind them with an empty bucket of shells and urchins. “Leave them alone, please. They don’t want to spend time with you. You’re a nuisance.”
“You brat,” said one of the boys, reaching for her.
Instantly, (Y/N) grabbed his arm and twisted, putting it into a lock. He squawked angrily as (Y/N) pulled his wrist back and braced his elbow, pushing one and pushing the other uncomfortably.
“Go and get the other hosts,” said (Y/N) as the girls’ eyes widened. Instantly, they nodded and ran, and Haruhi moved to help (Y/N), but another boy grabbed her. “Hey!” (Y/N) threw the boy they were holding down and moved to help Haruhi as she struggled.
The third boy grabbed (Y/N), and they twisted, slamming their heel into the top of his foot. He let out an angry yell, and his grip on their arms tightened as his friend got up and slapped their face.
            “(Y/N)!” said Haruhi, eyes wide.
l
“Tamaki!” The two girls ran back to the towels with wide eyes. “Haruhi and (Y/N) are in trouble!”
Tamaki’s eyes widened, and he, Kaoru, and Hikaru jumped up. Honey’s sunny smile turned sour, and Mori’s eyes narrowed. Kyoya’s grip on his notebook tightened, and he threw it down as he followed the rest of the hosts up the cliffs.
l
“You rich kids, thinking you can push us around,” sneered the boy, glaring at (Y/N) again. “Where do you get off ordering us around?”
“Where do you get off thinking you can treat women like that?” shot back (Y/N).
“Why, you—We’ll teach you a lesson!” The boy grabbed them roughly and wrenched them from the other’s grasp.
“Wait!” Haruhi’s eyes widened, and she pulled against the third boy.
The boy pushed (Y/N) from the cliff, and their eyes widened. The wind rushed past them, and they hit the water with a splash. Their mouth opened in shock, and water flood them. They coughed and floundered, sinking farther as the shock of hitting the waves settled in. Their vision blurred as seawater stung it. The last thing they saw was a figuring with dark hair diving in after them.
l
Kyoya had reached the top of the cliffs a moment too late. He saw (Y/N) falling from the rocks, watched their eyes widen in fear, and immediately ran forward. He was tempted to hit the boy who had pushed (Y/N)—when had he become tempted to violence for another person—but his concern was for them.
Kyoya threw his glasses to Tamaki and dove over the rocks. He landed in the water with much more elegance than (Y/N) and swam downward to them. His hand closed around his wrist, and he pulled them to him. Thankfully, their eyes fluttered as they broke the surface, and they coughed up the water they’d swallowed. With powerful strokes, Kyoya supported (Y/N) and swam them to the shore. As the water got shallow enough, he tucked a hand under their knees and picked them up bridal-style.
(Y/N) coughed up seawater, and they groaned as their head lolled and leaned against Kyoya’s chest.
            “(Y/N)!”
            “Oh my god! Kyoya, (Y/N)!”
(Y/N)’s eyes blinked as they heard Haruhi calling for them and the sound of the guest’s concern. Their eyes opened fully, and they looked up at Kyoya’s face. Their heart stuttered. He had come to save them? Kyoya had cared?
Oh. Oh. Oh, no. They liked that. They liked…him. Oh, no.
“(Y/N), are you alright?” said Haruhi, looking at (Y/N) in Kyoya’s arms.
Their panicking thoughts were broken by Haruhi’s words, and they looked at her. “Oh. Yes. I am.”
Haruhi breathed out a sigh of relief as Kyoya put (Y/N) down but kept an arm around their middle to steady them. “I’m so sorry I wasn’t more help, senpai.”
“You were plenty of help,” said (Y/N). “It was three versus two.”
“Hikaru, Kaoru, arrange for the guests to go back to the hotel,” said Kyoya, his hand remaining firmly around (Y/N). “Tamaki—”
“We got their IDs. Nekozawa got the police and is taking care of them,” said Tamaki, nodding.
“Good.” Kyoya’s grip relaxed slightly. “Honey, have Nekozawa call a doctor—”
“I’m fine,” said (Y/N), reaching up and touching his shoulder gently.
“You’re fine?” Tamaki’s eyes narrowed as he looked at (Y/N) and Haruhi. “Are you a martial artist? Do you have diving experience?”
“I know some self-defense. And I was startled,” said (Y/N) firmly.
“No, you were unprepared to fight three men,” said Tamaki.
“They did a great job. They helped the guests get away!” said Haruhi.
“You don’t get to talk, either,” said Tamaki, whirling on her. “You didn’t call us, even though we were right there! You and (Y/N) don’t have the strength to fight them!”
“There’s no time to think when we’re on the spot,” said Haruhi.
“Well, think a little, idiot!” said Tamaki.
Haruhi’s eyes widened, and she glared. “We’re sorry for troubling you guys, but I don’t see why we should be scolded for anything! (Y/N) and I did nothing wrong!”
“Is that so?” said Tamaki angrily. “Fine! Do whatever you want! I won’t speak to you until you admit your mistake!” However, it only took a few paces away until he looked back at Haruhi.
            Everyone looked at Haruhi.
“I don’t want to talk to him,” she said. “We didn’t do anything wrong.”
(Y/N) nodded. “We didn’t.” They turned away from Tamaki and looked at Mori and Honey. “Hand me a towel. I’m heading back to the house.” Tamaki and his opinions of their strength could go to hell for all they cared.
Kyoya’s eyes narrowed ever-so-slightly as (Y/N) walked towards the mansion. They didn’t care for their safety at all.

I had the joy of rewatching the live action Ouran High School Host Club last weekend. Very happy about the bigger role Nekozawa plays in the series
