A Day in the Life of the Fujioka Family! - what was planned to be a quick, small trip to visit y/n and haruhi soon becomes something bigger as all the members get a peek into the commoner lifestyle
Pairing - fem!reader x host club
Apart of - ouran add in
Currently, seven of the eight Host Club members were standing outside of a run-down, tiny, one-roomed house where the Fujioka residents lived. Vines were overcrowding the fence that stood in front of the cracked home, them growing in unwanted places. The shattered windows allowed a nasty breeze to enter the house, and the grass surrounding it had weeds overgrowing up to the height of Honey’s knees. As if it could not look more disappointing, the once nice weather that seemed to greet them soon turned into darkened clouds that looked as if it were specifically just floating over the Fujioka home.
Seeing such a dear friend in a depressing space was appalling to the group. Tamaki stood still, his eyes trained directly at the chunk of wood missing at the top of the doorframe, his hands tightly holding onto a box filled with treats.
"This can't be right," Tamaki muttered.
"Oh Haruhi," Y/N sighed sadly, looking at the rundown place of living. When Haruhi opened the door, her expression differed much from the one they normally saw on her. She had dirt smudged on her cheeks, a sickly pale complexion, and a dizzying stance shown through her discombobulated feet trying to keep her balanced and upright.
"Hey everyone. Why don't you come in?" Haruhi offered, and she gestured to the inside of the miniature home, where a singular chandelier hung down from the ceiling, emitting a small light to make up the whole home's space. "I know it's not much, but please make yourselves at home. I'll make us some tea." She moved across the dirtied floor, trash filtered about the room, and swung open the rusty cabinetry doors. "Um, I'm sorry, we don't have enough cups, but we do have some bowls.”
She frantically pulled out most of the dishware available, pouring an oddly dark brownish-green tea into the chipped containers. The group couldn’t help but eye one another in an attempt to stifle their comments of concern and disgust.
"Hey, boss. What's with this place? She lives here?" Hikaru uttered.
"Maybe it's some kind of set, you know, like in the movies?" Kaoru hoped, peering behind a tattered curtain in hopes of finding a mysterious camera.
"I-I hope so!" Tamaki exclaimed, his eyes staring now into the floor, unblinking.
"Haruhi, you don't have any books," Y/N realized, a gasp leaving her lips as she tried to search in a drawer but to no avail. The book-obsessed young maiden was wrecked at the discovery, similar to how many of the other members were.
"Psst, Y/n," Tamaki snapped out of his trance, nudging her shoulder. "Are you okay, sweetie?"
"I'll be okay, Tamaki-senpai." Y/N shook her head up and down, wiping away an imaginary tear and taking a slow seat down onto the flattened cushion that lay near the table.
"Calm down, you guys. I bet this is the storeroom. I'm positive Infinite Cosmos is just on the other side of that closet," Tamaki told the twins, turning around on the stained cushion and narrowing his attention to them.
"Then should we try to open it?" Kaoru tiptoed over to where the door was.
"Now's not the time!"
"Right.”
"Since you guys decided to come by at lunchtime, my dad said it would be rude if I didn't offer you something to eat." Haruhi walked near the group, placing the bowls and cups filled with tea in front of them. "We've been fasting for three days to save up money to buy something suited to your taste. But it's all worth it as long as you guys like it.” She put on a fake smile.
She walked back, hunched towards the kitchen counter where the grocery bag resided, and with gawky fingers, she pulled out an eight-piece sushi sampler, holding it up in the air.
"It was marked down at the supermarket; how about that?" Haruhi lightly cheered, now placing the platter on the table. The fish looked several days past expiration, the rice was falling from its shape with an odd color, and a disturbing odor was ruminating from the supermarket sushi.
"Sorry, we came to visit Haru-chan! Don't make us eat it!" Honey yelled, standing up as tall as he could with his hands up in the air as if surrounded by law enforcement.
"Be strong men; Y/n will be upset if we hurt her friend, and Haruhi has truly suffered for our benefit," Tamaki encouraged the twins, hands shakily reaching across the table to pick up a set of cheap chipped chopsticks. "It's the least we could do.”
"But sir, I'm not even sure this is fish!" Kaoru argued.
"Wow! I can't believe it! Isn't this a piece of fancy tuna, and I'm getting to eat it with Y/N?" Haruhi admired the tuna in her hand.
"Oh no," Y/n muttered, taking one of the sushis in between her chopsticks. "This—I think I'm going to be sick," she gagged.
"No, Y/n, don't eat that; it isn’t fancy tuna!" Tamaki yelled, sitting up quickly in his bed. He sat up with sweat dripping down his forehead, his breathing was labored, and his eyes rapidly scanned around the room. "Just a dream," he sighed, rushing out of the lavish bed, speedily getting ready, and making his way down the grand stairs of his estate.
"Morning, Master Tamaki," An older woman greets him. "Anything we can do for you?"
"I need to get going; please bring the car around the front at once," he told her, school bag in hand.
"Yes, of course, sir." The driver answered with a curt nod as he went to turn and move out the door.
"I beg your pardon, Master Tamaki, but what would you like for breakfast this morning?" The woman asked.
"I don't want any! I already told you I have to get going!" Tamaki whined, looking as if he were about to stomp his foot in defiance.
"Hold it right there, Master Tamaki! I can't let you leave the house like that. You're still wearing your pajama bottoms and your house slippers," Tamaki rushed upstairs at her comment, coming back down in the proper clothing.
"Thank you, Shima," he thanked, brushing away a strand of hair that got ruffled in the movement and his face a little red from embarrassment. "I'll be going now."
"I hate to be a bother, Master Tamaki, but today is Sunday," she informed. “You don't have to go to school today, sir."
"Oh,” He looked back at her defeat. “Well, why didn't you make me aware of the fact earlier?"
"As your maid, it's my duty to help you. However, I want you to become a fine gentleman. So, you must be able to recognize your own mistakes." She grabbed his back, starting to drag him off. "Since you suddenly have some free time on your hands, why don't we work on your manners?"
"But I have to make a call! Someone bring me a phone!" Tamaki frantically yelled. A maid rushed over with a rotary, which Tamaki quickly took from her grip, spinning around the digits. "Hey Kyoya, there's something I need to talk to you about.”
The weekend granted free time for the girls of the host club to congregate in the ways they wished. With the bright sun shining and heating their exposed skin, Haruhi and Y/n walked back from their venture at the supermarket with warmth in their hearts. It was a most enjoyable time for the wealthier girl, as she had never participated in it. They were chatting amongst themselves until Haruhi’s steps halted when something out of the ordinary came into view—a group of people swarming around some fancy cars. She took a few steps forward to catch a better glimpse, curiosity getting the best of her, and droned out the ramblings of Y/N.
"Check out that car," a man mentioned, pointing out the obvious while a driver was opening the door to the back seat. To much surprise, some of the fellow host club members emerged.
"Wow, so this is where Haruhi lives?" Kaoru spoke.
"It's pretty big, huh?" Hikaru added, as both of the twins were thoroughly impressed.
"Look at all the rooms!" Honey jumped up and down, tugging on Mori’s hand.
"This building is what you might call an aggregate commoner dwelling," Kyoya told them.
"So that means this isn't just hers?" Hikaru put together residing in a more comfortable and toned-down choice of clothing. Most of the boys wore tops without long sleeves, like Mori and Kyoya’s vest or Honey’s sailor shirt. Tamaki had a light yellow sweater on, and the twins were decked out in red and white tops. Overall, the uniforms were gone, and the street clothes fashion commenced.
"Yes, her home is only one of these units," he confirmed.
"Kyoya! Why did you bring these idiots with?" Tamaki whined, now actually stomping his feet.
"Kyoya, it was just supposed to be you and me!”
"Well, you see, I knew you didn't dare to come here alone to see Y/n outside of a school setting, so I thought it'd be best if everyone came along," he explained. "Okay, let's all go home; I underestimated our great leader.”
"I'm sorry, don't leave," Tamaki apologized, putting his hands down in defeat.
There was still a bumbling crowd around the vehicles whispering different rumors about why they appeared and just who the host club were. Y/N, who was naturally curious, stopped her ramblings and began to venture to the crowd, taking in their reactions.
"Now don't you forget men!" Tamaki pulled the rest of the group over into a huddle. "This is a casual—we just happened to be in the neighborhood—type of visit. Y/n will be outraged if we disrespect Haruhi, and after all, Haruhi is a member of our club. We will do our best to be respectful and not judge them. Don't say shabby, cramped, and run down when referring to her home," Tamaki warned the group.
Though the girl in question had heard their whole conversation and was heating up with rage, she turned towards the boys and said, "It's too late; just leave!" At the sudden outburst, Y/n rushed over to her friend's side to see the rest of the host club in the distance.
“Wow, everyone is here!" Y/n beamed, thrilled nature all over her features as she admired the appearances of all of her friends in the same place.
Similar to fruitflies attracted to something sweet, the boys ventured over near the girls, Honey pushing himself closer to Y/n’s side as he cocked his head up. “You look pretty, N/n-chan!” Even the younger-natured boy could recognize a new spark in Y/n’s character with a new venue and be surrounded by those she cared for.
"Thank you, Honey-senpai," Y/n smiled down at the boy.
Haruhi tugged on Y/n’s wrist, pulling her closer to her. "Now the rest of you, get the hell out of here!"
"Haruhi's so mad, she cursed at us!" Tamaki exclaimed, jumping in fear.
"Was this not a coincidence?” Y/n cocked her head to the side, furrowed eyebrows.
“No, they planned this without my permission,” Haruhi glanced over to the girl, cheeks a flamed red. Y/n immediately turned to the man of the hour—Tamaki—and watched as he shrieked, cowering behind the twin's frames in fear of upsetting Y/n.
"Excuse me, Haruhi, but is everything alright?" An older woman went up to her, tapping her shoulder lightly.
"Hi, Miss Land-Lady.”
"These young men are driving such fancy, foreign cars; they're not Yakuza, are they?"
"No, they are not," Haruhi reassured her, shaking her head and stifling a little laugh at the insinuation.
"Do you want me to call the police for you?" She asked, whispering in Haruhi's ear. Tamaki bounced away from his place of hiding and gently placed the woman's palm into his grip.
"Pleased to meet you, madam. My name is Suou; I'm one of Haruhi's friends," he explained, almost sparkling in the sunlight.
"Really? My goodness, well, aren't you just adorable?" The landlady complimented, a total switch in her former demeanor as she was greeted with his presence up close.
"We're just stopping; we didn't mean to cause a scene. I'm sorry."
"Oh, it's no problem," she giggled, moving towards Haruhi. "I'll stop by later with snacks for you and your friends.”
With a loud sigh, Haruhi began the way up the steps leading to her home, an eager group trailing behind. Yet she halted at the door. "Okay, here's the deal; I'm only giving you guys a quick peak," Haruhi explained. “Today was meant to be time for just Y/n and "Today was meant to be time for just Y/N and me.”
"But look, I brought you a gift, Haru-chan!" Honey told her, holding up a box full of delicious sweets, all decorated differently and delicately.
“Those look very good,” Y/n turned towards Haruhi, who was entranced by the expensive goodies. “Maybe it would be fun for us all to be together." She quietly commented, glancing hopefully at her friend.
"Fine, I guess I'll make some tea," Haruhi caved in, unlocking the door and gesturing the group inside her home.
"What a hovel," Hikaru commented, gaining a flick to the back of his head from Y/N. "Ow!"
"Be nice," She muttered back quietly, following Haruhi in.
"A wood-built two-bedroom unit—that's normal for a commoner family of two," Kyoya voiced, the group looking around the apartment in something mixed with awe and confusion.
"Haruhi's such a pipsqueak; at least we know she won't hit her head on the low ceilings," Kaoru noticed.
"Well, I think it's a super-cute little room!" Honey exclaimed.
"It's nice; I like your fridge color," Y/n admired, nodding repeatdly next to Honey as the two plastered on overexaggerated grins of happiness.
"You don't have to struggle to compliment it," Haruhi grumbled.
"Hold on. Are we supposed to take off our shoes too?" Honey pointed to Haruhi's shoes that were by the door.
"Please, if you don't mind," she voiced, and the group followed, taking off their shoes.
"Thanks for inviting us in!" The fellow members thanked, walking over to the table.
"This place is quite unpleasant; I think I may have underestimated commoner housing. Okay, we are going to have to squeeze. Y/N, come by me and let's all put our knees to our chests," Tamaki commanded the group. Y/n scurried by the boy at his command, sitting next to him as Mori took up the space on her other side. It was clear that the larger group was cramped in the smaller room, all smushed against one another as Haruhi got the goodies prepared.
"I'm going to go make us some tea," Haruhi told them as she walked over to her stove.
"Oh! Do you need help?" Y/n slowly stood up, squishing around with the group stuck at her side, but she was yanked back down by Mori pulling her. "Oh!"
"Hey. Here's an idea: why don't you make us this? It's black tea our father bought us as a souvenir from Africa, so try it," Hikaru suggested, and he pulled out the container magically from his side, passing it onto the host.
"Mori-senpai, are you okay?" Y/n whispered over to him, but the boy just nodded, gently removing his arm away from her upper arm and going forth to look forward.
"Um sure, no problem," Haruhi accepted the tea, moving over to her kitchen.
"It's best served as milk tea; do you have milk?" Kaoru inquired.
"I think, when was the last time that I bought some milk?" Haruhi thought to herself.
"Stop it; what the hell are you doing?" Tamaki yelled in a whisper. "Don't be so mean to her, you idiots!"
"What do you mean?" The twins asked.
"I know you're trying to embarrass her by asking for that African tea. Look! She has no idea how she's supposed to prepare it! We are trying to keep Y/n hap-" He quickly fake coughed. "Haruhi, trying to keep Haruhi happy and respect her."
"What if she doesn't even have a teapot?" Kaoru added.
"And she's too embarrassed to tell us that she doesn't!" Hikaru assumed. "I'm sorry, Haruhi; you don't have to go to all that trouble." He stuck out his hand, reaching for her.
"What? It's no trouble. Besides, I've already made it," she told him, finishing up pouring it.
"Man, that was a close one, boss," Kaoru sighed.
"We have been reduced by commoners' wisdom," Tamaki told the twins, whispering over to them on his other side, the three boys breathing a sigh of relief at the fact the tea was able to be created.
"What do you mean, sir?" Hikaru asked.
"Nothing we know to be true in our world holds true here. We have to be careful how we react. One little off-handed remark could break Haruhi's heart, which would get Y/n upset and then break hers too. That means in this fight, the first person to embarrass Haruhi loses," Tamaki told them.
"Well guys, the tea is ready. I'm sorry that not all of the cups match," Haruhi apologized.
"Don't worry about it, Haruhi-chan," Y/n voiced. "I'll even have some tea," she told her.
"You're taking off your mask? Like right now? In front of all of us?" Tamaki started to fire off questions to her. Tamaki leaned in closer, to which Mori reacted by reaching in front of Y/n and pushing his shoulder away a bit in order to give Y/n some room.
"No, not fully.” She huffed quietly, some embarrassment sneaking up into her senses. “I can still cover my mouth with my hand when I'm about to take a sip or a bite of something," she explained, moving a little closer to Mori, away from the peering Tamaki.
"Go on, N/n-chan! You can choose your cake first!" Honey offered.
"I think I'll let Haruhi go first." Y/n looked towards her friend, pushing the box closer across the table. "You are letting us visit in your home.”
"Are you sure, Y/n?"
"Go on, we're rich; we eat this kind of stuff all the time," Kaoru (horribly) reassured her.
"I'll take this one then," She pointed to a vanilla piece with strawberries decorating the top, taking it on her plate and soon munching upon it.
"I'll take this chocolate one," Y/n giddily lifted it up, pushing her fork through the cake and swiftly bringing it to her lips. She used her other hand to pull down the mask and push it past her lips, all while still hiding it from the majority's view. "This is so good," she mumbled. The only ones who could catch a peak were Tamaki, who had already seen the view in its full motion, and Mori with lighter cheeks than normal.
"She's so cute!" The twins and Tamaki commented, watching her eat and forgetting about themselves. For many club members, it was a great confusion as to why the mask was always a common appearance in her outfits, but one that Kyoya had warned them about in the beginning—a backstory lying within.
"Here, Y/n, take this chocolate piece on top of my cake; you like chocolate, right?" Mori picked it up with his fork and placed it on her plate.
"Yeah, I do!" She looked happily at him, taking the piece and soon moving it towards her mouth. "Thank you, Mori-senpai," He just shrugged but moved over closer and rested an arm behind her, leaning on it as he took in the subtle views of Y/n’s lips munching onto the dessert. It was shocking to Mori how much seeing the oral part of one's face could totally make an appearance.
"Why didn't we think of that?" Hikaru yelled, anime tears falling from his, Kaoru, and Tamaki's eyes.
"I should have been sharing chocolate with her," Tamaki whined.
"Why'd we let him trick us?!" Kaoru wondered sadly.
"Eating all that cake sure wet my appetite," Honey sighed.
"Yeah, isn't it lunchtime about now?" Hikaru realized.
"Well then, what's for lunch?" Four of the members asked the tired girl.
"Mori-senpai," Y/n nudged his shoulder a little, gaining his attention. "Do you think Haruhi is okay with all of us? I mean, this was all unannounced, and we are now asking her to do all these things; I don't want to upset my friend," she worried, looking at him.
"She's okay; you are a good friend. Don't worry," He patted her head once, the calloused fingers resting in the different buds of hair on the top of her head. His fingers ever so slightly nudged their way beneath the hair before a noise snapped him out of his thoughts.
"Well, if that's what you want," Haruhi began. Mori speedily removed his hand from such a position and focused his attention back onto the table. "I do have a friend who runs a nice little sushi shop nearby. So I can just give him a call; his stuff is pretty high quality."
Tamaki looked at her weirdly, grabbing a piece of paper and scribbling on it soon enough, handing it to her with a very suspicious expression.
"Be careful, Haruhi; just because the sushi's packaging says 'premium' doesn't mean that it's high quality," she read out loud. "I'm not stupid; I could figure that out on my own." She turned to him.
"How could you do that to me? Daddy even tried to look casual and not embarrass you like Y/n would have wanted.” To which the girl mentioned just shared a glare with her friend.
"I'd really like it if you made us something for lunch, Haru-chan," Honey voiced happily.
"No, Honey-senpai!" Hikaru yelled.
"How could you ask that of her?!" Kaoru added.
"Don't upset her; try to restrain yourself!" Tamaki commented.
"I guess I could whip something up, but it's going to take me some time," Haruhi told Honey.
"We can wait," Y/n piped up. "I can also help you cook; I know a few things." She mumbled, standing up but getting fingers wrapped around her wrist once again. "I promise i'm not that bad Mori-senpai," She laughed and he removed his fingers, watching her walk away. "It's the least I could do."
"Why didn't we think of that?" the twins whined.
"This means that we will be able to taste Y/n's cooking," Tamaki said.
"I'm going to have to go to the supermarket again," Haruhi sighed.
"We're coming with you!" The twins spoke.
"Me too, me too!" Honey agreed, Y/n nodding her head eagerly, now the whole group in a place where they were wanting to go with.
"Yay! Commoners' supermarket! Commoners' supermarket!"
"This is going to be fun!" Honey yelled, running after Mori as they began to pile out of the room. Yet quickly Haruhi noticed the disappearance of two prominent members.
"Well, that's it, So much for having the day off." She peaked through the other room, seeing Y/n and Tamaki by her mother's shrine. "Hey senpai, Y/n, are you guys coming?"
"We are; I just thought it would be good to pay our respects," Y/n told her. "She's pretty, like you, Haruhi. I'll meet you outside." She stood up, going out of the apartment where the other members waited.
"Your mother, she seems smart," Tamaki turned towards Haruhi; nonetheless, with the different circumstances of the girl joining the group, friendships were flourishing all around and especially between the blonde and secret girl.
"Yeah, she was a lawyer," Haruhi informed him, a small smile drifting onto her lips.
"I bet she was a great one, I can tell. Trust me, you can't fool these eyes, Haruhi." Tamaki spoke very softly, his once more energetic demeanor toned down to share respect toward an important woman in his friend's life.
"I'm not so sure about that senpai," Haruhi deadpanned. "She really was a great lawyer.” And with her comment, the girl got up, waiting for Tamaki to walk out with her, but as soon as he stood, a mysterious banana peel came into view, where the male slipped, falling on top of Haruhi. His hands held up his upper frame, just looming over her as he took in her features for any injuries.
"Are you okay Haruhi?"
"I'm fine, but you're kind of heavy," she huffed.
"I'm home, Haruhi! Hey, why'd you leave the door open?" Her father walked in, spinning around in their dress.
"Welcome home, dad," Haruhi muttered, her father's eyes laid on the man on top of their daughter. "So dad, how was work?"
Tamaki started to freak out, his mind running with thoughts about how they would react, how Y/n would react, and that the man standing at the door was truly Haruhi's father.
Haruhi's father walked over, throwing Tamaki off into the wall. "I'm sorry, I hated having to leave you home alone last night. You must have been lonely,"
"That sound, he hit really hard," Haruhi’s eyes widened at the fear of her fathers strength and the undoubted pain her club mate must be in.
"Ah, my arm has been bothering me; I sure could use a cup of hot tea,"
"Hot tea? I'll get it for you. Haruhi, your father wants hot tea; do you use firewood to boil it?" Tamaki started to rush all around the place.
"Oh, look at that; I've seem to come across a little pest. Would you like to tell me why you're addressing my daughter with such informality, young man?" Haruhi's father questioned, yanking on the young man's shirt to pull him back near him.
"Hey, is everything okay here, boss?" Hikaru poked his head through the door, the rest of the club behind him.
"Check it out; the person we passed downstairs is Haruhi's father," Kaoru realized.
"Hikaru, Kaoru, help me out here," Tamaki begged, lying on the floor.
"It's nice to meet you, Haruhi's dad. We're good friends of your daughter's, the Hitachiin brothers," they introduced, stepping on Tamaki to reach the man.
"So you are a crossdresser, aren't you?" Kaoru questioned.
"You're the first real corssdresser we've ever seen!" Hikaru told them.
"Sorry about him; he's a lady's man, if you know what I mean."
"He's a pheromone machine. In fact, I bet he's fooled around with more ladies than you can count," Kaoru explained with great exclamation, both of the twins highlighting the negative behaviors of their club leader.
"He likes to fool around, huh?" An irk mark appeared on Ranka's face.
"I'm not a lady's man! I don't like your daughter; I only like a different girl. I'm being completely honest here; I care about Haruhi like she's my own daughter, same with Y/n!" The man stood up, flaring his hands all about. It was clear to Haruhi’s father that the blonde was no true threat, and thus he retreated his more intimating demeanor with the other members.
"I get it; you must be the host club I've heard so much about!" Haruhi's father realized. "You certainly are a fine-looking bunch of men and a very pretty woman." He turned to Y/n, pawing at her hair. "I'm not sure which of you men I like most; all of you just call me Ranka? It's the professional name I use."
"Professional name? You mean like a stage name?" Honey asked.
"Exactly like that, Mitsukuni," Ranka smiled at him.
"Hold on. How did you know my name, sir?"
"You two are third years, Haninozuka Mitzukuni and Morionzuka Takashi." Ranka looked towards them. "You twins are first years and so is Takahashi Y/n; you are in the same class as Haruhi as well."
"Oh, I'm so sorry, I didn't know you were Haruhi's father," Y/n apologized, bowing over and over in her seat. "You're so gorgeous and I was so inconsiderate; I should have done research to be prepared-"
"Don't worry, sweetie, I have heard a lot about you already!" She smiled.
"So Haruhi has told you about us?" Hikaru asked.
"No, just Takahashi, but Kyoya has told me about you two over the phone.”
"You truly are an amazing person, Ranka." The rest of the group looked oddly at this Kyoya, who plastered on a grateful grin. "We have been entrusted with the care of his special daughter; it's only natural that we introduce ourselves and give him periodic reports. Ordinarily that would be your job, wouldn't it?" Kyoya looked over at the shy Tamaki, who faced away—knees to his chest—from the others.
"I'm impressed the club has such a capable president!" Ranka admired. At the unknown notion that her father was communicating with Kyoya for a long period of time, his daughter jumped in anger at being left out of the light. She angrily packed up her purse and stood walking towards the door. "Haruhi, where are you going?"
"The supermarket, alright?" She rested her hand at the doorknob and looked back at Y/n. "I have to go shopping; Y/n is coming with, and the rest of you will stay here; try to behave yourselves.”
Y/n jumped up, waving goodbye to the group and rushing after Haruhi.
"Thank you, Haruhi!" She thanked, a small blush appearing on the said girl's cheeks.
"It-it's nothing; let's just get going." She stuttered, taking Y/n's hand and dragging her out of the door.
"Wait! We wanted to go to a commoners supermarket," Hikaru called out.
"I wouldn't bother; once she has made her mind up, she'll never change it!" Ranka lightly chuckled. She then explained how Haruhi has made most of the decisions on her own, like when she transferred to Ouran High School.
"I hope you boys know I'm thankful for you, and Y/n, since she met you, she seems happier. She's enjoying herself; wouldn't you think so, Suou Tamaki?" Ranka turned to the boy, who was now in a closet, basking in his sadness as mushrooms popped up around.
"You know who I am?"
"Of course, I've heard a thing or two about when Haruhi was trying to get Y/n to join the group," Ranka smiled. "You're the one that didn't realize Haruhi was a girl until the last moment. You're clueless, aren't you? Pretty pathetic. Now that we've gotten all the introductions out of the way, how would you boys like to have a little fun?"
"Why didn't he tell me? I had no idea Kyoya-senpai has been calling my dad and giving him updates," Haruhi expressed tiredly.
"He might have felt it was important, I mean, he just wants to be involved in your life, it's easy to tell how much he loves you." Y/n patted her shoulder and then pulled her into a side hug. "You have to admit you're an independent person; it's not a bad thing, but sometimes other people want in too.”
"Yeah," she grinned, looking at Y/n. "You're also independent yourself, you know? Worse than me." She nudged her shoulder back, causing Y/n to laugh.
The rest of the Host Club members stayed back with Ranka, all sneakily looking at Y/n and Haruhi. Ranka wore a long coat, glasses, and a scarf to better hide their appearance as the rest of the boys followed along, hiding behind different objects and podiums.
"So we're going to follow them to the supermarket?" The twins questioned.
"This is what you meant by 'fun'?" Kyoya asked.
"Yes! I call it the stalking game." She threw them back a thumbs up, covering her face at the moment.
"What an attractive group of young men!" A woman whispered to another.
"In all honesty, I have a completely selfish reason for bringing you out with me. I want to be seen with a bunch of cute boys!" Ranka exclaimed, taking her glasses off and showing off her face.
At the supermarket, they watched Haruhi look at vegetables with Y/n at her side.
"OO! Haruhi, what about these vegetables?" She held up some lettuce. "Do you need this? Wait, it doesn't look as nice as the lettuce in the salads at my home." Y/n stuck a finger to her chin, looking at the vegetable oddly.
"I doubt it is; yours is most likely grown in your garden," Haruhi laughed. "I could still use it for something else; feel free to put it in the basket."
"Thank you, Haruhi! Shopping is kind of fun."
"You don't go shopping?"
"Nope, I've only been to a store a few times, including our journey here earlier today," Y/n told her, wandering off to look at some coffee and bringing it back.
“Do you really think it is necessary to follow her around like this?” Tamaki and Ranka peeked out from behind an aisle filled with different canned goods. “Are you that worried about her?”
“As you know, Haruhi lost her mother at a young age, and afterwards she took on all of the chores and shopping by herself. I decided to start following her whenever she would leave the house; maybe I’m just being overprotective?” Ranka sighed, patting her cheeks in deep thought. “I worry about her all the time; I’m the only one who can protect her, you know? Either she does not know how to depend on others or refuses to. She’s always been so independent and so strong. And she has this uncanny ability to affect others without even realising it.”
“That’s true; I’ve seen it." The president stared off, agreeing with the parental figure. He watched the two girls, Y/n nudging along the shoulder of Haruhi as they giggled off about something. They were finding pure, simple enjoyment in the task, truly enjoying one another's company.
The girls didn't notice Honey, who was being pushed by Mori in the back, or the twins looking around themselves. "Hey Tamaki-senpai, what are you doing here?" Y/n turned around to look at the man.
"I followed you guys here so I could carry your shopping basket; you know how Daddy loves accessories." He awkwardly chuckled, ripping the basket away from her hands.
"Tamaki! What should we make?" Y/n grabbed him, dragging him over to a new section. "Isn't it so amazing how this place is set up and all the foods?” The girl excitedly took a turn of her head back to her female friend, “Haruhi! Come over and look with us!”
He looked down at her, admiring her, quiet for a moment before snapping out of his thoughts and joining in the conversation. "Yeah, we should make a stewpot, ones with lots of meat but no chrysanthemums," Tamaki told them.
"Does that sound okay, Haruhi? I'll help you make it!" Y/n beamed, looking at Haruhi intently.
"That's fine.”
"Here, Tamaki, take some chrysanthemum! You're favorite!" Ranka put more into his bowl, piling it up on top of the stew. "Y/n, you adorable girl, take some extra meat!”
"Ah, thank you, Ranka!" She grinned cheerily underneath her mask. "We did a good job." Y/n looked over at Haruhi, lifting up a spoonful of some of the stew to her lips.
"Yeah, we did,” a soft hum left the girls lips before opening them up wider to take in the tasteful flavors of the stew. Ranka looked at her daughter, engaging with the other girl happily. It was clear that a certain host member of the group brought out more vibrant emotions from their daughter, and to admire the simple experience between the two girls caused his soul to shine a little brighter.
Ranka laughed to herself, picking up a spoonful from their own bowl, "Alright, Haruhi, dear, try some of mine!”

A Challenge from Lobelia Girls' Academy! - a new school is visiting Ouran Academy and has taken a special liking to the ladies of the host club. soon enough it is up to the males to convince them to stay, but can they succeed?
pairing - fem!reader x host club
apart of - ouran add-in
"Really? All the afternoon classes have been canceled?" Haruhi wondered to Y/n sitting at the chair inside their classroom.
"Yeah, I heard that groups from a bunch of other schools were invited to come. It might be nice to meet some different people," Y/n shrugged.
Yet the two girls soon enough turned their heads at the loud mention of the twins standing in the back chatting with Renge, “What! You've never tried it!"
"Didn't anyone tell you that it's the preferred drink of the Host Club?" Hikaru inquired.
"And you are our manager, so you should drink it too," Kaoru told her, nudging the girl a bit.
"Um, well, I-I think I've heard of instant coffee before. Oh! That's right! Isn't that when the coffee beans have already been ground for you," Renge remembered or thought she did.
"That's just ground coffee," Hikaru corrected her. "Instant is something completely different. I don't even think there are any coffee beans in instant coffee. You just mix this powder with hot water, and then drink it, you don't have to brew it."
“So it's just like coffee, but not as robust. And yet it's strangely satisfying," Karou finished it off, the twins proudly sharing their knowledge on such an item.
As if on cue, the twins caught the eye of Haruhi peering over, making their way now over to the other two girls apart of the club. "Now that you mention it, we just ran out of it, didn't we?" Hikaru mischievously peered towards his brother, the both of them resting one hand on one of her shoulders.
"Go buy us some more, Haruhi," Karou commanded her.
"Why do I have to get it?" She asked showing an annoyed expression, trying to shake her shoulders to get their hands off of her.
"Because you're the only commoner, no one else knows where to buy it."
"I'll come with you, don't worry," Y/n nudged the girl, taking her hand, she wrapped her fingers around Haruhi’s hand and began to lightly drag her out of the door.
"Wait, Y/n!" Kaoru called out.
"Yes?" She turned around, halting her steps.
"Can you get some of those candies we like, the pink ones, please," Y/n nodded in confirmation, continuing with their path until another person stopped her steps with a new comment.
"Thanks for doing that," One of their classmates thanked them.
"It's fine," Haruhi mumbled.
"I'm glad they seem to be having a good time, it's all thanks to you two," The girl admitted, looking down at her shoes very shyly.
Her other friend stood up from her desk, patting her friend on her shoulder and continuing, "We've been in the same class with the twins ever since middle school. They didn't use to be this cheerful and friendly. They were always quiet and withdrawn, they didn't have many friends. It's like they didn't want anyone to get too close, I don't think they liked school very much," She explained the twins' past a bit.
"Things have changed since the Host Club started, since then they've come out of their shells little by little," The other female spoke up now, smiling as she told Haruhi and Y/n.
It was such a beautiful evening as the two girls walked back onto the campus grounds that they were taking in the fresh air. The trees were basking in the refreshing sunlight with a light breeze lifting the bottoms of Y/n’s dress skirt. Both of their hands were filled with the items from their adventures and Y/n’s heart was filled with contentment.
"Wow! That was so much fun, the cashiers are so friendly. Do you usually strike up a conversation with them?" Y/n asked carrying the plastic bag on her left arm which was weighed down by the instant coffee and some other little treats.
"Yeah, I guess,” She just tapped her bottom lip in thought to past shopping experiences. “It depends, some people are nicer than others.”
"I'm never going to forget this. Thanks Haruhi! I always have so much fun when I'm with you," Y/n confessed, rushing along up the sidewalk to get back to the club members faster.
"Yeah me too," She mumbled, finding it a bit cute to see such a mundane thing bring joy to her. Haruhi gazed as her friend went along rushing ahead and soon enough turned to look back at Haruhi but missed a step and seemed to be falling face-first into the sidewalk. It was as if she could see Y/n's demise with her face smashed against the concrete but she never faced it. Y/n's arms instinctively went to try and catch herself but were now pushed against her chest with another pair of arms around her waist. A woman with short hair held Y/n in her grip and dipped her as if performing a move from the tango.
"It'd be a shame for any harm to come to that cute face of yours," The woman told Y/n, pushing a piece of her hair away from her face. She brushed her fingers over the strap around Y/n's ear that kept the mask tightly to her face.
"Y/n! Are you okay?" Haruhi ran over, dropping her bags on the ground. The mysterious woman moved her grip away from Y/n’s, letting the girl stand on her own as she reached over to pull Haruhi in closer to her.
"Ah, you must be careful, young ladies," She spoke confidently, eyes glistening down at a shocked Haruhi while Y/n watched mouth agape.
It was not long till the other Host Club members were up to their usual antics in Music Room Three. Yet, what they were not prepared for were the two new young women strutting their way down the hall. Two women that were very taken aback by the scene of young men dressed as knights in their view.
"Welcome, ladies!" The men greeted arms open wide to welcome new maidens into their grips, Honey stood in his all-pink armor giggling smile on his face differing from a lounging Kyoya on the sofa showcasing a coy grin.
"Well, well, well," Tamaki eyed the new women up and down, "I see you ladies are from another school," Tamaki observed. "I certainly hope we haven't startled you. We love first-time guests. I'm glad you've come princesses," He made his way over to the two girls in their red dresses with bright, large yellow bows. "My darlings, even if the world were to be destroyed, I'd put my life on the line as your faithful knight and servant.”
"Oh my, do you really think you'd be able to protect us?" The girl with longer hair scoffed at his comment. "That's awfully arrogant of you, wouldn't you agree?" She briefly turned to look over at her classmate, who was covering a chuckle underneath her palm. "Do you think that's what a woman wants to hear? Well?" She waited for Tamaki's mouth to open up before finishing, "You're wrong," promptly cutting him off.
"C'mon, give him a break, Sister Suzuran," The shorter-haired one added feigning maturity and lightly touching her friend on the shoulder. "Men are just lowly life forms who don't care about anything other than perpetuating their testosterone-laden image. By protecting us he is putting up the image, but in reality, he can't protect himself and is weak.”
"You're such a clever girl, Hinagiku," Suzuran complimented her friend, nodding in agreement as her eyes disgustingly gazed over Tamaki.
"Don't you think that's a little harsh?" He waited for the girl's response only to receive silent shrugs. "Fine then, what do women like you want to hear?" Tamaki questioned, throwing up his hands in frustration.
"Maybe something like I would never leave my lover alone," Bursting through the doors a third woman appeared- one that was holding beloved members. She wrapped one arm around Y/n at her waist and beneath the chest area for Haruhi.
"This is a little too close," Y/n mumbled, squirming a bit in the woman's grip. Quickly enough the welcomeness the males once held for new members shattered. Multiple eyes stared at where this woman's hands placed themselves on Y/n, some stared frozen at the actions while others were more reserved with their displeasure.
"If we fight, it'll be together," She removed her arms from the girls, speaking as if it were from a memorized monologue. The tallest woman went in to pull Haruhi into her, wrapping her arms around Haruhi's back in a tight hug. Then, with a small push that Haruhi delivered to her chest, she focused on Y/n. "If we fail, we fail together," Her arms now landed on Y/n, spinning her around, dipping her, and bringing her back up. Y/n looked around confused at the actions that seemed to happen in a second and soon enough the same girl was on one knee in a proposing position. "Even if I were to die, I promise you that I will never leave your side, my love," She spoke her last words delicately and placed a soft kiss on top of Y/n’s hand.
"Um," Y/n looked in shock at her hand, slowly pulling it away and taking a step back towards Haruhi. "What's going on?" She whispered to her dear friend whose own eyes were glued on Y/n's hand.
"Benibara, we thought you'd never show," Hinagiku admitted.
"What are we going to do with you? So tell us where you found these two lovely young ladies?" Suzuran pondered.
"I just met them outside of school. This one," She gestured to Haruhi. "May be dressed as a boy but I knew the truth. And even without seeing the half of her face covered with the mask, I know she holds beauty.” Benibara concluded, motioning back over to Y/n.
"Thank you?" Y/n questioned, unsure of taking the compliment.
"Wow, feel this one's skin!" One of the girls said reaching for the top of Y/n's hand and dragging her fingers around it, sensually feeling the skin.
"What about her hair!" The other one exclaimed, moving her hands to reach up.
"Can you please refrain from touching me?" Y/n politely asked, trying to pry her hand from the one girl.
"Don't touch my Y/n without asking my permission!" Tamaki fumed, running up at an amped-up speed towards the ladies. His actions were quickly halted when Benibara stepped in front and landed a curt punch to his face.
"Leave her alone!" Benibara spoke back to Tamaki.
"She punched me! She's so violent!" He whined, rushing back into a corner all teary-eyed.
"Get a hold of yourself," Honey lightly scolded.
"I guess the rumors were true. You guys are just a bunch of weak little punks with no sense between you," Benibara observed.
"Those uniforms—I assume you ladies are from the Lobelia Girls' Academy?" Kyoya recognized, pushing his glasses up higher on his face.
"That's correct," Soon the three visitors' school uniforms were thrown in the air. They focused on making a new—and very grand—entrance with dazzling outfits combined with a song. "We are the White Lilly League, also known as... The Zuka Club!"
"The... Zuka... Club," Tamaki slowly repeated, falling onto the ground.
"Oh man, what a stupid name!" Hikaru laughed. "The Zuka Club! My stomach hurts!"
"The Zuka Club! That's priceless," Kaoru agreed, both breaking out into a burst of loud laughter. "And they had those get-ups on under their uniforms.”
"I don't think you all can truly judge," Y/n whispered under her breath, staring over at them in their own type of extravagant outfits.
"You shouldn't underestimate the Zuka Club!" Renge announced, the young girl making her exaggerated entrance with an echoed laugh. "I may not know much about instant coffee, but I’m fascinated with girls' schools." At her side now lay the cup of instant coffee; she brought it to her lips and spat it out with disgust.
"St. Lobelia Academy! It is truly a woman's world there. The Zuka Club is a group of strong young maidens who consider women to be superior in every way. The club prides itself on its thirty-year history. It's a society of maidens by maidens, for maidens. There are many different activities, one of the popular ones being the musical performances from their top members," Renge informed the group.
"You sure have a vast wealth of knowledge, Renge," Kyoya commented somehow magically appearing into his own school uniform.
"Well, I've always admired St. Lobelia's. I just couldn't go to school there though; what would I do without any boys?" She laughed to herself, soon enough disappearing from the music room once again.
"A maiden's beauty means possessing a spirit pure enough to not give in to power or to lust," the long-haired Zuka Club member spoke.
"As a girl, you—For a girl, you—We've had quite enough of all your oppressive male contempt for womankind." The youngest of the women's club expressed frustration.
"And our pride.... It comes from having meaningful relationships based on equality because we're the same sex. And yes, that includes relationships of love," Benibara stated, the other two members encouraging her.
Though throughout their whole explanation of what they believed in the Host Club did not pay them any mind. Instead, they sat about around the room doing their own things whether that may be playing a video game or indulging in a new book.
"Whatever. We're so over it. Why don't you gals just scram," Hikaru motioned to the door while his other hand worked at pressing the buttons of the video game, one that caught Honey’s eye.
"I find it hard to believe that you silly boys have nothing to say about our sublime female love," Hinagiku laughed. Yet they were still not gaining the complete attention of the group.
"Yeah whatever," One of the twins mumbled.
"I'm glad we decided to perform here," Benibara looked around the room, her eyes lingering along the male members. "It was fun to sneak a peek at the notorious Ouran Host Club."
"Hey guys, are we notorious?" Honey inquired, ruffling his hair in complete confusion.
"Yeah," Mori responded, moving behind where Y/n and Haruhi spent some time working on putting a treat together.
"And to think they are bringing these sweet young girls down with them," Benibara stated, moving over to the two female members and taking one of each of their hands in hers. "The Host Club's president may be a pretty little halfer, but he shouldn't be using his looks to create a fictitious romance! I promise you, we will bring you guys down. The Ouran Host Club will be abolished!"
"All hail Zuka Club," The three chanted.
"I see," Kyoya smirked, pushing up his glasses. "I understand your concern, but do you think maybe we could finish this later?"
"Are you saying that you're not going to face us?"
"Not at all. It's just that our president is still bedridden from the initial culture shock," Kyoya shook his head, gesturing over towards the wilting figure that was Tamaki.
"You see Tama-chan is having his nappy time right now," Honey told the girls.
"Wake him up!" Benibara demanded.
"'Scuse me. Y/n and I made some coffee. Would you like some?" Haruhi questioned, holding a tray with two cups while Y/n held the other one in her hand.
"It's not bad and very simple to make!" Y/n beamed.
"Why, we would love it! Aren't you two the sweetest thing?”
"You're real pearls among swine.”
"You know, coffee made by a woman always has a more fragrant aroma," Benibara told them.
"This is just instant," Haruhi clarified.
"Why don't we five have a tea party?" One of them offered.
"That would be nice! I was talking to Haruhi about a program you have in your sc-" Y/n began before a very irritated Tamaki interrupted them.
"You girls have it all wrong! Don't you see there is nothing to be gained in a romantic relationship between two women?! If that were the case, then why did God create Adam and Eve?!" Tamaki fumed, he stood up from his space and rushed over to confront the Zuka Club but instead slipped on the floor and spilled one of the teacups. Its contents ended up spilling onto his pointer finger, burning the skin with its touch.
"Oh Tamaki-senpai," Y/n sighed, mentally face-palming herself. She reached into the grocery bag filled with the goodies from the earlier trip, bringing over a bright purple bandage. "Just be more careful, you are the president after all," She softly spoke, bending at the knees to be closer to his sitting down frame. Then she took his finger in her hand to wrap the material around the burn.
"Thanks, Y/n, do you always have bandages?"
"No, when we went shopping, they had a lot of deals for little things! I might have indulged a little too much," Y/n laughed softly resulting in a light pink brushing over the blonde's cheeks. Benibara walked over with much fierceness, wrapping her hands tightly around Y/n’s upper arms and hauling her in the air.
"Now that we know what's going on, we can't allow these maidens to stay here!" She stated, removing one hand to reach and grab Haruhi. "We'll prepare their paperwork and have them transferred to Lobelia immediately to join the Zuka Club.”
"What?" Y/n broke her arm free, taking a few steps away from the woman and trying to lightly pull Haruhi near her. "I'm a little confused about this.”
"I don't think it's fair to pick on the Host Club just because you don't think they have the same history as you," Haruhi added.
"We barely have any history," Hikaru mentioned. "We were just founded two years ago.”
"Yeah, the boss created it whenever he started high school" Kaoru clarified.
"Be that as it may be, but saying the club activities are only held to satisfy their appetites is just wrong. I mean, it's not like the Host Club is charging their guests or anything," Haruhi told them, trying to serve as a mediator and defendant for the host club.
"While I wouldn't call it a charge, we do have a point system," Kyoya piped up over a computer. "We offer priority services based on the winning bids of auctions held on our website. Check this out," He motioned over to the computer which showed a jacket that was just sold.
"I- wait," Y/n whispered, looking over at the screen with her eyebrows furrowed. "I thought I lost that! It was one of my favorites, and took two days for the maids to get a new one in," She looked over the piece of clothing. "Why would someone-"
"Why didn't you tell us this Kyoya-senpai? I had no idea you were collecting money!" Haruhi complained.
"So, you thought we were all just working here as volunteers? While it's not much, because of the expense of organizing events, we happen to make a small profit from the online auctions."
"You can't sell other people's things without asking permission! That's stealing!" Haruhi snapped.
"It also had a picture in it," Y/n slumped. "I sat in my room upset for an hour, that picture was important.”
"It wasn't stealing, Y/n left it in the classroom," The twins tried to defend themselves.
"I'm sorry Y/n! I'm sorry Haruhi! It's not like we were hiding it from you! Here you can have my jacket, it's grey," He pushed one toward Y/n who was now sitting on the ground in defeat. Haruhi stood in front of her, acting as a bodyguard, and not accepting it.
"I don't want it," Y/n mumbled.
"Then how about I do this! I'll tell you the secrets to my success and my fondest memories.”
"No thanks, I get that when I visit my obaachan," Y/n sighed, looking dejected at the floor. With the lack of her response and continuous disappointment, Tamaki decided to go back to sulking in a corner.
"Oh you poor dear, I can't believe they have been deceiving you," One of the women spoke up, rushing over to Y/n and Haruhi.
"Are you okay Y/n?" Haruhi turned towards her friend yet only gained an unenthusiastic nod in response.
"Hey, why don't you just dump these losers and come with us?" Another one of the women encouraged them.
"Hold on, Hinagiku. These young maidens have had quite a long day. We'll give you some time to think about it," Benibara reassured them. The two girls did not pay much attention to their words as Y/n was still sad and Haruhi was focused on her friend's pain. "We'll come back for your answer tomorrow," Benibara and the two girls gracefully exited Music Room 3, conducting an elegant spin and short dance as they moved to the door and out back into the hallway.
"My jacket," Y/n sadly whispered to herself. Haruhi caught her words and quickly looked over at the fellow members with wrath through their lack of thoughtfulness.
"We better be going, we have some thinking to do," Haruhi told them, helping Y/n up and guiding her out of the room.
"Why did you have to tell them the truth!" Tamaki whined. "Y/n was so sad, now they might leave!"
"The facts are the facts," Kyoya muttered.
"Maybe we should've asked before we sold that jacket on the internet," Honey commented.
"Yeah, for all we know that picture is one of the limited ones she has with her family," Hikaru thought.
"Gentleman, think about it. We know that Haruhi tends to favor men's clothing and when she first joined the Host Club, didn't she seem happy about girls fussing over her? Y/n also gets some female guests and is very close with Haruhi, so if Haruhi encourages her to leave then-"
"We lose Y/n!" Honey cried out. He rushed straight into Mori’s arms while the twins and Honey started sharing different factors about the two girls that would make them perfect candidates to join the academy.
"Calm down, gentleman. It'll be alright," Tamaki now switched from being the one who was freaking out to calming the others. "Listen to what I have to say, I have a secret plan."
For the rest of the time before the Zuka club arrived back, the girls wanted to have some moments amongst themselves and discuss certain plans, like what they were to do for the weekend. "Father has a business meeting in America and is trying to encourage me to come. I told him I’d rather spend a weekend on Jeju Island," She shrugged.
"I think I'll just catch up on cleaning," Haruhi told her.
"Ah, nice idea. Maybe I will redecorate my room," Y/n stuck a finger to her chin, acting as if she was thinking about it but Haruhi just rolled her eyes at her rich friend's plans.
"Hi young maidens," Benibara spun around, landing in the vicinity of where the girls were moving. She helped to usher them closer to Music Room Three, confident that it was time to confront the group.
"We've come for your decision, are you prepared to leave?" The shorter-haired girl wondered, popping up with her friend, both behind Benibara.
"We're ready to confront those Ouran Host Club idiots and set this straight once and for all!" The last one said excitedly.
"Set what straight?"
"That you shall come with us and be with your people," They opened the club doors as the Zuka club were eager for the two to leave the Host Club. However, instead of the normal scene that had previously greeted their eyes this time, it was pitch dark.
"Ouran," The group all sang out of pitch. The lights flashed on and it was seen that they were all dressed up in frilly, gigantic gowns with long hair and shocking makeup. "Host club welcomes you!"
"Oh Y/n, welcome back,” Tamaki made his way closer to the girl, flipping some of the long hair back as he heightened his voice. “Haruhi.”
"Look N/n-chan! I'm a princess now, aren't I cute?" Honey gestured down to the extravagant dress, spinning around in place.
"What about us, are we cute Haruhi?" The twins stepped over towards the girl, Honey soon enough joining as she tried to move away yet they just followed in their over-the-top outfits.
"What is the meaning of this?" Benibara growled. "Are you trying to make fun of womankind?!"
"What? No, that's not it at all. But, everything's going according to plan. Our strategy is guaranteed to make even a crying child smile. It's the freebie campaign!" Tamaki grinned. "Now, commoners are weak so if you choose us you gain a group of not just brothers but sisters. Y/n, if you stay-"
"Oh my," Y/n whispered, rubbing at her eyes with her gaze staring down at the marbeled floor.
"Y/n," Tamaki worried, dropping the act and walking towards her for a moment. Haruhi looked at her friend with confusion and the Zuka club had an expression of pride.
"Well Y/n, I see you have made your decision since they are so insensitive to you," Benibara expressed.
"This is too funny," Y/n mumbled, standing back up. "I tried to hold it in, I really did," She laughed, laughing very hard it earned surprised looks before continuing, "This is better than that photo. It was just a cut-out photo from a magazine of a book I wanted. This makes it so much better!"
Haruhi soon joined in too, “You guys look so ridiculous,” She roared with laughter, the two girls' noises echoing about the music room with shock on the features of those surrounding them.
"Thank you for the offer," Y/n turned to the woman, trying to catch her breath. "But I'm going to have to decline, and I'm going to assume Haruhi will do the same," She apologized, walking back over to her club. "I wasn't going to leave anyway, my father wants me to attend here.”
"Wait, if you knew you weren't going to leave, and Haruhi wasn't, why did you act like that yesterday?" Tamaki questioned.
"I was really looking forward to that book! The photo was so I would remember the title," She scoffed.
"We're not going to give up on you two. I swear this to you. Someday we will come and rescue you from this place! And when we do, we'll abolish the Ouran Host Club!" Benibara declared, the three Zuka club members exiting with grace.
"Now the Host Club has a rival, what's going to happen to our beloved Host Club members next? Hang in there Host Club! Don't give up!" Renge announced, hand reaching toward the sky while the other held a microphone, looking off to the side as if peering into a camera.
"Hey, it's not your job to cook things up," Tamaki scolded.

The Sun, the Sea, and the Host Club! - in an attempt to switch up the scenery for the guests, and to appease to y/n's wants, the host club make their way to the beach. though their trip is not as calming as hoped with competitions and fighting to quickly commence

"The beach?" She repeated, back in the music room when the twins told her about the next place they planned on vacationing.
"Of course the beach!" The twins said.
"But why?" Haruhi chimed in.
"Don't you remember what you said? Y/n?" Hikaru started.
"You said you'd like to go to a real beach, that it had some good memories," Kaoru finished.
"I said that?" She looked up from her book, trying to remember the last chapter's events.
"Yes, here's the fun part! We brought swimming suits for you to choose from," Kaoru told her.
"Pretty cute, don't you think?" Hikaru asked, motioning to one of the more revealing pieces. "If you want, we have extras for you Haruhi!"
"Not that one!” Honey stepped forward, inserting his own opinion. “ I think this swimsuit would look much cuter on N/n-chan," He chose a blue bathing suit that was much less revealing to the eye but had a cute polka-dot pattern.
"I don't think you get it, Honey-senpai," The twins fired back.
"Also we found a great swimsuit for you Haruhi! A two-piece with ruffles to hide her being very flat-chested," Hikaru spoke.
"You can choose a more revealing one Y/n," Kaoru encouraged.
"Don't comment on my friend," Y/n scolded, pushing the next option of the bikini out of the way.
"Fine," Kaoru scoffed.
"But Y/n, what about this one?" They showed one that was revealing a little too much for her liking as the chest area was very much inclined downwards.
"Oh- Uh.”
"You punks better quit sexually harassing my little girl! I've had enough of you!" Tamaki fumed.
"That means we're not going to the beach?" The brothers pondered.
"Who said that we're not going?" Tamaki voiced hands on his hips in confusion. It soon became apparent to most of the group that this dream was to become a reality.
"So you want to go after all?"
"Can Usa-chan come too?" Honey questioned.
"I have no problem with that," Kyoya commented.
"We are going?" Y/n pushed her book to the side, standing up.
"Why not?" Tamaki wondered. "Let's go to the beach!"
"So, why'd we come to Okinawa?" Hikaru and Kaoru questioned.
"Because Kyoya's family has a private beach here," Tamaki informed them.
"It's beautiful, isn't it?" Honey admired.
"Yeah," Y/n agreed.
"Why couldn't we have gone-" Kaoru began.
"To the Caribbean?" Hikaru continued.
"You think a commoner like Haruhi has a passport?" Kyoya scoffed.
"You realize I can hear what you're saying, right?" Haruhi reminded them.
That led to where the Host Club were now, enjoying their relaxing time with beautiful scenery and privacy from the public. There were chairs and umbrellas to block the sun along with speakers that carried calming classical music throughout their way. Overall making it a fun time for the hosts and the guests themselves.
"It's so beautiful," A girl expressed on top of a rock that sat in the ocean. It was more shallow in this area and gave a pretty view to look onward at the crashing waves. Tamaki sat by her side, leaning closer a bit to stare out with her. "Tamaki, being alone here with you and looking out at the sea, it's like a dream.”
"It's no dream, it's real. But if I could have my way, my princess. I'd be in your dreams every night," Tamaki confessed.
"Oh, Tamaki.”
Meanwhile, more in the sandy area, the twins were indulging in a beach volleyball game with some of the other ladies.
"Hey, take it easy, Hikaru!" Kaoru told his brother.
"I'm sorry! I'll get it!" Hikaru called out to his brother while trying to catch up with him to grab the volleyball that seemed to be now rolling away.
"Hahahaha," They both giggled alongside one another, feet slipping in the sand as they tried to increase their speeds.
"Wait for me, Kaoru!"
"It's not my fault! The ball is rolling away," He yelled back, creating a bit of a distance between him and his brother.
"Y/n-chan! Do you need some sunscreen?" A girl wandered from the sand with her feet in the water. She reached over to her side and began to open up the sunscreen bottle.
"You're so kind. I'm okay though," She nodded back toward the girl. "Would you like me to put some sunscreen on you?" She wondered, now reaching for the bottle herself and squirting a pump into her open palm. "Haruhi! What about you?" She yelled over to the girl a few feet away.
Haruhi turned around from her position and sat underneath the umbrella on a towel.
"U-Uh sure," She stuttered, getting up and walking over hesitantly. Haruhi took a seat by Y/n’s side, her knees close to touching Y/n’s. Y/n rubbed the sunscreen on her hands and put some on the exposed part of her arms, the girls swooning.
Over in the distance, Tamaki was off receiving some time with a new guest, enchanting her with similar lines he had spewed before. Yet, Mori and Honey had taken a differing approach with their guests, instead deciding to practice some yoga and fun stretches that made giggles erupt when they were not very successful.
"This sucks. I thought going to the beach meant a day off," Haruhi complained.
"Well... I'm here, aren't I? And we are doing something together," Y/n told her, wiping the excess sunscreen that was leftover on her hand on a towel. She scooted a little closer to Haruhi’s side, allowing their knees to touch one another as Haruhi looked nervously downwards.
"Um, Haruhi, Y/n? Aren't you going to go swimming with us," One of the girls nearby spoke up, she stood in front of the duo as three more surrounded her with wondering glances.
"Why aren't you wearing a bathing suit?" Another asked Y/n. In reality, she was wearing one but became more nervous and self-conscious with the extra appearances of new people. She already tried the last chapter to get out of her comfort zone and then to do it in this one was too difficult.
"I didn't feel like it today. I think Haruhi and I will just watch you ladies if that's all right," Y/n voiced.
"You're wearing cute swimsuits, you should go and swim," Haruhi smiled towards them, waving them off to gesture to the ocean. Soon enough they all ran out, jumping and splashing around in the salty water.
"I can't believe he fooled us," Hikaru picked up the beach ball. "Who'd have thought he'd bring the ladies with us?"
"We certainly didn't expect it," Kaoru stated.
"You were invited on this all-expenses-paid vacation for a reason," Kyoya reminded them. "And that is to keep our clients entertained.”
"But with the ladies here, Haruhi can't change into a swimsuit, and Y/n refuses if she won't," Hikaru expressed sadly.
"Don't worry, I've got it under control," Tamaki smirked.
"Kyoya-senpai!" Y/n called out, running over. The four men stared at her, it was clear that though she brought in new prospects and clients she also brought new feelings among the men who thought they were pretty much immune. "Can I have a fancy drink like yours?" She asked, bending down a little and pointing to the blue drink on the table.
"Sure, as long as you don't forget about the guests sweetie," He looked up to her, clutching her chin so she was looking at him. "Sound good?" But, similarly to Y/n, these men seemed to erupt new feelings as she felt her stomach twist and anxiously bit at her bottom lip to nod a confirmation.
"Kyoya!" Tamaki yelled. "NOT YOU TOO, Y/N COME TO DADDY!" Y/n rolled her eyes at Tamaki's choice of words, stepping back from Kyoya’s grip and choosing a seat beside them, patting another open one to gesture Haruhi over.
"My little girl shouldn't be prancing around in swimsuits, at least not in front of two perverts like you," Tamaki swung his arm over to point at the twins, protective and intimidating glare their way. Yet, Y/n and Haruhi paid no acknowledgment to their actions, just conversing about new reading material.
In Tamaki's Head
He and Y/n were taking a calming stroll on the beach, the sun setting allowing them to have a gorgeous view. He admired the way she looked in the nice, flowy dress.
"It's so pretty, Tamaki-senpai, I'm glad I get to be here with you," Y/n turned to look at him, playing with her hair a little, her mask still on. "I want to show you what I look like without the mask, I trust you," She slowly started to remove the fabric-
"It'll happen just like that! The greatest day of my life! I don't know if I can handle it!"
"What's the matter with Tamaki?" One girl asked with long hair.
"Is he having a seizure?" Another one inquired.
"I wouldn't worry about it," Hikaru told the girls.
"He gets like this occasionally," Kaoru added.
"N/n-chan!" Honey called out, waving a pail. "Want to go shellfish hunting?"
"I think it is shellfish hunting," Y/n quirked her head to the side, a small smile upon her lips beneath the mask. Haruhi was conversing with some of the girls, so Y/n decided to go see the rest of the group. "Are you sure this is that kind of beach…” She wondered while walking along the path the two boys were leading. “How are there so many?” Her eyes soon enough went wide with the many crawling around and getting closer. In a bit of fear and worry she jumped up and down in an attempt to not get snapped.
"Mori-senpai, my family's private police force has stopped by. They wanted to make it up to Honey-senpai for attacking him at the water park. So they've brought shellfish," Kyoya told the upperclassman. A few officers surrounded the beach and gathered tons of sea life in bunny-designed covered buckets,
"Amazing! Look how many we got!" Honey exclaimed.
"Wow, we will be eating well tonight!" Y/n beamed, bending over to peer at some of the creatures moving about in the pink buckets.
"My, my, certainly looks like they're enjoying themselves," Tamaki observed, now walking near the scene to watch the three.
"I agree, that does look good," Haruhi added, standing beside Tamaki.
"Hey Haruhi! Come check all these out! Have you had crab before?" Y/n wondered, calling out to her friend and now jumping up and down in excitement rather than fear.
"Oh, I'm just so proud! Look at my little girl!" He walked over, picking up a crab. "Tell me Y/n, isn't this crab, crab-tivating?"
"Yeah," She giggled, covering her mask in a natural response. "You could say that."
"You're so cute," Tamaki admired, it was beautiful to watch the way she interacted with others, all the kindness and compassion she offered with no worries of social status. It was very different from most of the people he had experienced in his life, she was refreshing like the water, a new soul that seemed to send a new spark within him. But while he was off beginning to ponder the true difference her addition had made in his life it was quickly interrupted when a new bug made its addition out of his apple.
"CEN-"
"TI-"
"PEDE!" The girls yelled, running off frantically with some of the other members.
"Gross," Y/n scoffed, taking the crab from Tamaki's hand and trying to shake the centipede off the crab. "Bye, bye little bug," She muttered, the centipede flying off into the sand. Naturally, she was not a big fan of bugs, but this hand an easy solution.
"Couldn't you have been easier on him?" Kaoru and Hikaru came up to Y/n, watching the bug fly off into the distance.
"Y/n is so brave."
"She's such an inspiration for us women."
"I'm so spending more time with her," The girls at the beach commented, watching the whole thing go on. Haruhi was similarly not scared off by such a creature, choosing to just make her way over to Y/n and strike up a more enjoyable conversation than listen to the girls fawn over her.
"Well, isn't that just great?" Kaoru grumbled.
"Y/n's not normal, I thought most girls would cry seeing a bug," Hikaru sighed in disappointment.
"She's most likely afraid of something," Tamaki muttered, looking questioningly at her.
"Aha!" The twins exclaimed. "Hey boss, listen up! We just thought up a new game to play that could be a lot of fun. What do you say? It's called the Who Can Find Out Y/n's Weakness game. So, think you're up for it?"
"That game sounds terrible," Tamaki expressed.
"I guess you're right, she'd only share her weakness with someone she was close to," Hikaru realized.
"What are the rules?" Tamaki inquired, having a different thought about the game now.
"Now, that's more like it!" They said at the same time.
"The deadline is sunset tomorrow," Hikaru spoke.
"Whoever finds out her weakness first, wins." Kaoru finished.
"And I have the perfect prize for the game's lucky winner," Kyoya commented, he pulled up photos of Y/n dressed up in a dress, mask slightly pulled down so you could now see her nose just like last chapter.
"We wanna play too!" Honey yelled, standing next to Mori.
"I'll join," Haruhi mentioned.
"I guess that means we are all competing," Kyoya observed.
"Where did you get this picture of Y-" Tamaki started to freak out, hands pulling at his hair as he cautiously looked around the area.
"Hey, wait a minute. Where did you get those pictures Kyo-chan?" Honey pondered, now realizing that Tamaki had a valid point as the girl was very private.
"I have my sources, how about we just leave it at that for the moment?" He smiled, flipping the photo in his hand.
It did not take long for the childish game to take place as all the members were curious as to what would be her point, they wanted to be the ones to get the prize. Some of them split off together while others went about it individually, all while Y/n had no clue such plans were taking place.
First up to set their master plan in place were the twins. They had lured Y/n along with a group of the guests into a more secluded area with a dark cave and eerie silence. "This is the place. It's the most haunted spot in all of Okinawa," Hikaru told the group. "The locals don't even come here."
"They say that the only time you can even find this cave is at low tide. Many people have died down here from drowning and their souls still linger, taking revenge on anyone who happens to come inside," Kaoru haunted, moving his hands about and dramatically gesturing to different parts of the cave.
"Look!" Hikaru yelled, pointing to a figure moving its arms in a black cloak, pink eyes shining. It had popped out from behind and the girls were quick to turn around and notice it. Soon enough flailing and running away in fear. Slowly the figure reached a long arm out to Y/n’s shoulder as she was still peering around the cave.
"Huh, what do you need Hikaru?" She turned around after feeling the hand and seeing him with a flashlight pointing towards his face. "Is this supposed to freak me out?"
"What's wrong with you? I thought everyone was afraid of ghosts," Kaoru voiced.
"That's not real," She scoffed, looking at the twins in disappointment. “I am always up for a good ghost story, but it was too obvious where you were going with this one,” She moved away from the twins, tsking in response before guiding the scared girls back to the bath with their huddled forms clinging onto her.
Next up to work on their master plan was another duo, Honey and Mori. "N/n-chan! Would you come over here?" Honey called out to her, inside the back of the officer's truck. Y/n climbed up onto the truck, standing near the shorter boy.
"Kyoya-senpai might be mad that this truck is on his sand, I know my father-"
"Well, we're ready whenever you are private police people," Honey interrupted her, yelling out to the men who now stood at the back of the truck. "Please lower the door," He commanded them and they followed in response.
"So, what is this about..." Y/n tried to speak, standing confused in the darkness before a loud, terrified scream was let out next to her.
"It's dark and scary in here! I feel like I can't breathe!" Honey screamed, beginning to move around and bumping into Y/n.
"It's okay Honey-senpai, they are going to open it soon, don't be scared," She bent down and embraced him in a hug despite her mind running in confusion. Softly she brushed back some of his hair while he cowered in her arms. Soon enough the back latch was slammed open, the trunk door swinging up and Honey rushed out into the sandy ground with the sun lighting the area around.
Before she could even comprehend the quick change of events a sharp object was swung dangerously close to her nose, the sharp tip almost touching it. "Uh, Mori-senpai?" Y/n’s eyes peered down at the sharp object. "Nice weapon?" She questioned as he pulled back the weapon to stand at his side, a little sigh escaping his lips.
Trial four was not nearly as drastic or common of fear as the other three. It was a pleasant surprise when a golden dog came running over to her side, tail wagging and tongue hanging.
"A dog?" She pondered, petting his back.
"Well, that didn't work," Haruhi mumbled, looking at Y/n who was petting the dog softly, leaning down more to balance on her knees to be more at his height. Haruhi thought an easy fear she could figure out was if she was afraid of dogs. Though it could have been a better attempt, she did not have the connections to something like a police force like the rest of the club members. "She looks kind of cute," Haruhi was able to recognize, tilting her head as she watched the girl happily pet the dog.
Hikaru and Kaoru sat next to each other exhausted with the lack of success they were having in their attempts.
"What's up, boss? What are you doing?" They popped up, crowding behind Tamaki as the man was working out his plan.
"I found some rat snakes!" He beamed showing the two a bucket filled with them. "Surely she'll freak out when she sees these!"
"Anyone would think those are creepy, so it isn't a weakness," Hikaru told him, flicking some hair back in disappointment.
"Hold on. I thought there weren't any rat snakes in Okinawa," Kaoru realized, eyes widening while taking a small step back from the contents of the bucket.
However, as the three were about to discover a drastic mistake Y/n’s attention was taken away by the girls calling to her from the top of a hill overlooking the ocean.
"Please be careful," She yelled back, watching them as they happily pronounced around, taking in the breeze that flew little hairs up into the air and ruffled their coverups.
"Hey! There are chicks up there man!" A guy called out to his friends, wandering up the hill himself. Quickly his friend came jogging up, both a bit more wobbly when moving up the hill.
"Aren't we lucky, you ladies want to hang out with a couple of locals?" One with an orange shirt proposed, brushing back the hair on his head.
"No thanks, please just leave us alone," One girl kindly asked, trying to block off the two girls behind her. She stood in front of the two scared and even more petrified when the orange shirt man went in and grabbed her wrist.
"Aw, come in. We just wanna show you girls how to have a good time?"
"This is a private beach, you guys are not allowed to be here!" Another girl exclaimed, stomping her foot and putting on an angered look.
"Private?" The other boy repeated, suddenly appearing behind the girls and enveloping them both in a hug. "Does that mean we're alone?"
"Back off!" Y/n yelled, rushing up the hill and pushing the man in the orange shirt away. "They asked you politely to walk away," She rushed the girl's wrist that was once being held to run and moved over to the two other girls. The orange-shirt boy scoffed but got up from the ground and dusted himself off.
"You're not too bad yourself, come on little lady, you can have fun with us too," The other man laughed. "We won't leave you out.” Y/n landed a harsh kick into his stomach in response.
"Did you not hear me? Leave them alone!" Y/n watched as the man who once held the girls in a hug let them go and lined himself closer to her. The girls made a subtle few steps to the side of the hill, an area where they would be able to run down once the men's attentions were distracted.
"Those aren't rat snakes! Those are poisonous Habu snakes!" The twins yelled, running away from Tamaki.
"What do I do with them? Come on guys, help me out!" He screamed, running around with the bucket, tears in his eyes.
All the while a girl from the top of the hill ran down as fast as she could, almost running into Tamaki, "Help Tamaki, it's Y/n!"
"What are you going to do now little girl, should have accepted our offer," The man now held Y/n's shirt up, letting her figure hover over the edge of the hill with deep waters and even some spikey rocks present where she would land.
"Get ready to run!" She yelled, kicking him straight in the balls. In response, his friend ran over and the girls made their escape. He fell to the ground and dropped his grip on her shirt, letting her fall over the ledge into the ocean. Though she figured this would happen once she kicked him her eyes still went wide and her brain faltered as she fell with a paralyzing fear that one sharp rock would be her end.
"Y/n!" Tamaki jumped in after her, moving his hands and legs at a rapid pace to get over towards her body faster. He saw her falling from the air with no movement of her body and felt a strike to his heart, true physical fear in himself that powered him to move even faster. Y/n fell with a large splash into the water, body still and eyes shut tightly before two hands wrapped around her and lifted her back into the sunlight. Tamaki ripped the mask off of her face while the girl took deep gulps of air and with fear and gratefulness, she hid her face into his chest to hide her uncovered facial features.
The fellow members yelled after the duo in fear there would be a horrible injury. Anxiously, they stood on the beach as the two made it onto the land. Though when rushed over Tamaki just shielded Y/n, turning his back away from them to give her privacy. He only let Kyoya come over and place a towel on top of Y/n’s form in Tamaki’s grip.
"Where did they go?" Tamaki asked, turning his head to Kyoya. The man let his eyes linger a bit more on the frightened form of Y/n and then responded to his friend's important question.
"We took their ID cards and respectfully asked them to leave. The girls all went back to the hotel, and I called a doctor. He should be arriving here any minute.”
"Thank you.”
"I'm okay, it was a little jump, I don't need a doctor," Y/n’s eyes still stayed wide, easily able to showcase the fear she just had which remained just less paralyzing. If anyone looked close enough it was an easy thing to see, something Tamaki and Kyoya quickly recognized. But she put one foot on the ground and moved the towel up to cover her mouth as she tried to speak to the whole group in reassurance.
"What were you thinking? You know, you're not like Honey-senpai. You're not a martial arts master. Why did you confront them," He put his arms on her shoulders, looking her in the eye. "What made you think you would stand a chance?"
"Hey, Tamaki-senpai," Haruhi began, a little hesitant about the situation.
"You against two boys."
"Who cares if they are boys and I'm a girl! I was there at the moment. How could I just sit back and watch?" She told him, angrily stepping away.
"That's not an excuse, you idiot! Don't forget, you're a girl!"
"Listen, I was fine on my own,” Y/n got defensive, eyes furrowed in frustration at the man who had been with her during such a vulnerable and scary time. “I don't get why you are so mad at me right now. I did the right thing!" Y/n snapped, raising her voice yet her hands were still shaking. Clearly, well if she was in her right mind, she was not prepared to take on those boys, and in a sense, it was an idiotic move, but she didn’t want them to see how hurt and frightened from the situation she truly was. She wanted to appear strong and at least a bit composed like normal.
"You think so? Fine. Whatever you say," He started to walk away, shaking his head in pure irritation. "But I'm not speaking to you until you can admit that you were wrong!"
Due to the eventful circumstances the Host Club soon enough retreated to the Ootori villa to enjoy the rest of the evening and wind down. Soon after arriving most of the club members had settled in the dining room to finally have a nice meal after an exhausting day out in the sun.
"Kao-chan! Ta-da!" Honey exclaimed, showing off the delicious-looking meal that was made. The crab and different assortments of seafood gracefully lined the tables, offering plenty of options and amounts for those that would soon be all gathered.
"That looks good senpai, sorry you had to cook,” Kaoru complimented, slouching down into his chair after taking a glance at the food.
"It's okay!” Honey piped up all smiles, but then it turned into a frown when he took a look out the window where bad weather seemed to be forming, “it's looking kind of gloomy out there.”
"It's not just gloomy outside, it's gloomy here in the dining room as well," Hikaru spoke, sitting next to his brother.
"Just take a look at senpai," Kaoru voiced pointing over to where Tamaki sat with his head facing the ground in a crouched position over in the corner. He had a frown on his features, mind off somewhere else while looking all somber.
"Come on, quit moping boss!”
"You shouldn't have picked a fight with her in the first place.”
But soon after Karou made that comment the dining room doors opened and the rest of the Host Club had made their way into the area. Y/n walked in beside Haruhi with her mask beneath her nose and a flowy dress complimenting her figure.
This made a huge impact and reaction on some of the Host Club members who were not as good at hiding it as they were in pure shock from the new image of a girl they favored.
"Whoa!"
"Haruhi! I like your top, it looks so nice," Y/n adored the girl who was trying to express more of her masculine side at the dinner. Though Y/n had most of her attention on Haruhi the rest of the club seemed to have more of their attention on her.
"Thank you, you look pretty also," Haruhi blushed, pressing her hands down the fabric of the buttoned-up shirt to straighten it more.
"Good job!" The twins put a thumbs up, eyes sparkling as they took in Y/n’s appearance.
"You look cute N/n-chan!"
“Pretty,” Mori mumbled following in behind the two girls, scooting around to then take a seat at the table himself.
"You look nice, Haruhi," Tamaki commented, getting up from his sulking corner and moving to an open chair at the table. He tried not to let his eyes wander where Y/n was sitting so elegantly, her hands on her lap and eyes watching as he moved. She sat in the middle of Haruhi and Kyoya, making sure she had distance from the one who refused to acknowledge her.
"Let's dig in Haru-chan!" Honey beamed, reaching forward to grab more to stack on his plate. Haruhi happily began eating her delicious food with a gracious smile on her features. But Y/n just stared over at her plate, hands still in her lap.
"Are you going to eat?" Kyoya wondered, leaning over and whispering to her.
"I'm fine for the moment, these remind me of a certain someone," She mumbled, looking down at the plate. It brought up unexpected memories from the times when her family felt like a family, and there were not many moments like that. But she knew that it could never go back that way and instead of being able to enjoy the new family she gained she was also stuck on how Tamaki was still throwing a fit.
"I'll eat," Tamaki announced, picking up some more food to place on his plate.
"Good for you to tell everyone," Y/n scoffed, rolling her eyes. "We were very interested.”
"Good, because you should be. I'm the president, Dad, after all.”
"Didn't you say you weren't going to speak to me?" Y/n looked towards him, her eyes straight onto his as he tried to play all superior.
"Are you trying to be cute?" He questioned her, and to still no response or apology he put his hands on the table and stood up causing a scene. "Okay I get it, it seems you refuse to admit that you were wrong. See if I care then, I'm going to bed. Kyoya, will you show me to my room please?"
"No problem-" But before Kyoya could fully stand Y/n grabbed onto his wrist, looking up at him pleadingly to stay.
"I'm the host," He spoke softly back to her and watched while she defeatedly let go. "Well, excuse me, everyone,” He stood up, pushing in his chair and guiding Tamaki out of the dining area. It was hushed after the two disappeared, everyone just sat at their chairs munching on their food until a hesitant and nervous voice spoke up.
"Maybe I could use some more lessons," Y/n admitted, picking at her food now with disappointment in herself.
"Y/n," Haruhi began, putting down her fork.
"So that's it, he got to you huh?" Kaoru inquired, fork dropping onto his plate as he looked over questioningly at the girl.
"It wouldn't hurt to get some more lessons," Hikaru added.
"Besides that's not the real issue here," They both spoke.
"To be honest, we were all a little worried about how recklessly you acted," Hikaru explained further, eyebrows softly furrowed as he thought back to that moment.
"What do you mean? I didn't do anything to you guys, and I helped those girls."
"That's not true N/n-chan, you made us all worry, I think you should apologize," Honey told her, shaking his head up and down.
"Did I make you worry Haruhi?" She turned towards the girl, watching those around her share their fears.
"A little," She admitted. "We all care about you and going up against two men is not the smartest realistically.”
"I'm sorry," Y/n apologized, staring down at her plate as she was starting to recognize how these people, people who weren’t her family, felt more like one than her biological one.
"You're so cute we forgive you," Kaoru spoke for the group as the members moved from their seats to stand over and all squished her in a big group hug.
Y/n stayed in their grip for a moment, rubbing at her eyes before announcing "I'm going to bed.”
"You look sick," Hikaru noticed, lightly feeling her forehead.
"Too much," Y/n whispered more to herself separating from the group to move towards the door. "Too many things going on today.”
Y/n left the dining room while slowly walking in the hallway with all sorts of thoughts from the whole day's events blurring inside her head. Soon enough she started to feel faint and in an attempt to stop anything else from happening, she moved into a room. Quickly she found its bathroom and turned on the sink, splashing water onto her face.
"Today has been one day," She muttered to herself, stepping out of the bathroom to find a Kyoya drying off his wet hair and shirtless. In response, she quickly covered her eyes, stepping back where she almost hit the sink. "Sorry, Kyoya-senpai, I didn't notice what room I was in!"
"Don't worry, it's just me," He stepped forward, taking her hands away from her face.
"I'm sorry I made you guys worry today. I figured since I had some experience, I would end up being okay," She admitted, looking up at him with clear disappointment shining in her glare.
"Thanks," He said softly, deciding his next words. He brushed a strand of hair away from her face before softening his tone to continue, "I had trouble separating Kaoru and Hikaru from those two punks, they almost beat them half to death," Kyoya chuckled softly. "Then I had to buy a bouquet of followers for each of the girls, to apologize for their experiences."
"I can pay you back,"
"They were 50,000 each. I know your father doesn't give you that much," He turned around to shut off the lights walking back over. Yet in the dark Y/n tumbled over a pile of clothes near her path, falling in the darkness and trying to grab onto Kyoya for support. Instead, it ended up with her back to the bed and Kyoya peering down from above with his two hands on her side, holding himself up from falling onto her.
They both were silent for a moment, Y/n let him move a hand to brush over her cheek and he watched her chest flush, more skin being able to be seen in such a position as she nervously breathed faster. Kyoya was overwhelmed with his own emotions and just put his head down to rest in between the crane of her neck. He was frightened when he saw her falling, falling without ever confronting his feelings or even giving them a chance to try and understand.
Y/n hesitantly moved her free hand to smooth out his hair. "Thank you Kyoya, thank you for being you," She smiled beneath her mask, he could feel her muscles loosen, getting used to his touch.
"Kyoya!" Tamaki called from the other side of the door, knocking before just letting himself in without a confirmation. "Do you have any lotion? This sunburn is worse than I-" He caught the two in their position, that similar irritation burning in his gaze, "You bastard.”
Kyoya shook his head, quickly standing up and moving towards Tamaki, "Take it," He pushed the sunscreen into his hands, leaving the room. If he was able to be honest with himself he would not have left, he was getting too comfortable to the touch, to the feeling that he could just relax.
"What were you doing with him?"
"Nothing."
"It was just you two in this room! Don't lie to me!” He stormed, walking over to her and gesturing towards the bed and clothing on the ground. “Whatever, it's been a long day and you probably are tired, get some sleep," He quickly turned around making his way towards the door before a hand reached out to try and pull his shirt back.
"Sorry- um -I forgot I needed to go get Haruhi for something."
"Why do you need- Where are you going?" He asked the girl who was frantically trying to beat him out of the door. To this he blocked the doorway, stopping her by lightly grabbing onto her shoulders.
"I can't stay here alone," She softly spoke refusing to look up. "I don't like being alone."
"What do you mean?"
"I-I haven't been alone for a long time. I always have my, well my stuffed animal with me, the one my mother gave me. I didn't bring it with me here, and I can't stay by myself, I can't-"
Tamaki walked over and pulled her into a tight hug, his arms circling her waist to keep her flush against his chest.
"I can't lose someone else," She admitted with her face in his chest. "I'm sorry senpai, I'm sorry, I'm sorry."
"Shh," He dragged his fingers across the top of her head. "I'm not leaving you, I'm right here, it's okay now," He continued to hold her, lightly sitting them both on the bed.
“I thought I could handle it, I thought it would be fine,” She whispered, clutching at her chest a little as she took in deeper breaths. In fear that she was having trouble breathing Tamaki took off her mask, slowly removing the string from around her ears and letting her catch her breath.
It was a scene for him to always remember, the girl taking deep breaths on his chest while the moonlight peaked through the window shining upon her. He could finally take in her whole facial features, the scene of her whole face was remarkable. It shocked him how much of a difference it could make to her beauty.
“You are beautiful,” he mumbled under his breath. “You looked beautiful this evening at dinner too,” He watched as her eyes fluttered up to him, her breathing getting even, and her mind seemed to calm down its rushing wave of panic and worry. “You are not alone, you won’t be, you have all of us now.”
“Yeah?” She questioned, smiling softly up towards him.
“Yeah,” He nodded, a large grin overtaking his features. “As president, I will not let any of my fellow subjects be harmed,” He declared confidently, his heart beating faster when a little giggle escaped the girl's lips. "Let's try something."
With the more emotional moment over, Tamaki took his jokes and her trust in him to work out a different type of scenario in hopes of helping her even more. The other members grew curious at their prolonged disappearance, figuring that even though the two claimed they were off to bed it was just their pride speaking. But the scene that they had walked in on was a bit alarming as Y/n’s mask was back on and her eyes were blinded by a cloth fabric. Her hands were hesitantly placed on his chest, fingers spread wide while listening to his soft commands.
"You feel me? Just keep the blindfold on, I'm still here," Tamaki told her, his voice quieter so that she could feel a bit of his breath on her arm.
"You nasty pervert," Kaoru commented.
"What kind of foreplay is that?" Hikaru started to rage, he stormed into the room, slamming the door open.
"Ta-Tamaki-senpai?" Y/n moved her hands all around him, trying to feel and understand what the voices were meaning.
"This won't be good if her father finds out," Kyoya added, walking over and removing the blindfold from her eyes.
"Y/n, are you okay?" Haruhi pondered, placing her hand on the girl's shoulder.
"It's not like that! It's not what you think!"
"Be careful Y/n," Hikaru told her.
"Never would have thought the boss was into that stuff," Kaoru laughed.
"I told you, it wasn't like that at all!"
"Now I know, father will not be happy about that. I can't believe I trusted you," She sarcastically spoke, mouth quickly closing up to not allow a chuckle to escape.
"I was trying to help you!" He yelled, arms flailing.
"Let's go," Kyoya told the driver once he took his seat, shutting the door behind him.
"Hey! Don't leave without me! Wait, you guys," Tamaki whined, running after the car.

pairing - fem!reader x host club
apart of - ouran add-in
It was a gorgeously sunny day with the chlorinated water splashing around in the vast expanse of the pool. It looked as if the scene was from another country with a small breeze and palm trees littering around the vacinity. Y/n was lying in a beach chair, fully clothed, and her chair was placed next to Kyoya as she snuck her straw underneath her mask, sipping on the drink while covering her mouth.
"You're still wearing a mask, at the beach," Kyoya noticed. “Is that really necessary?”
"Yes, you can never be too careful about who may be around,” she answered, eyes searching the nearly empty resort. She insisted. "Now, where is Haruhi?" She pushed down her sunglasses, scanning the area before soon enough the girl started to walk over. "Haruhi! You look so good in that bathing suit!" Y/n complimented the girl who was wearing a cute yellow shirt with striped shorts.
"Tha-thanks," She smiled, taking a seat beside her. “You look nice as well,” she looked over at Y/n’s outfit which was much different than the normal one they all usually saw her in. Instead, she wore a tank top, showing off more skin on her arms and even chest area with a towel covering her legs from the skirt.
"Behold Y/n," Tamaki popped up behind her chair, slipping through the gap to stand on her side and hung over. "Bask in the beauty of the tropical birds! Aren't they breathtaking? They remind me of you," He blurted while his eyes unconsciously took a look down, seeing her bare thighs underneath the towel. Quickly he jumped back, almost tripping back into Kyoya’s seat, as he shook his head a large pink floating over his cheeks.
"Jeez boss," Hikaru popped up.
"Yeah, way to be a pervert," Kaoru popped up on the other side.
"I-I wasn't looking at her beachwear!" He stepped back while the twins followed him.
"We didn't mention anything about that," Hikaru told him, following him farther back.
"What are they doing now?" Y/n queried. The sun was still beating on her, and with a towel now covering her legs she was quickly getting overheated. In response she started to fan herself with her hand, trying to wave some air to alleviate the heavy feeling of her hair.
"Here," Mori moved over, he sat down on the edge of the empty bench beside her taking a ponytail he had stuck around his wrist and offering it up. Y/n gratefully took it, moving to gather some hair before Honey was already gathering it in his own hands.
"Thank you," Y/n smiled, she pushed down the mask to not cover her nose. Mori’s eyes sparked up a bit and Y/n just patted his hand in a thanks before moving over to pat Honey's head. Honey and Mori exchanged a glance at her actions, now seeing a part of her features that she was normally adamant about covering up. “I have not been to the beach in years, I forgot how hot it can get.”
Kyoya took a peak over at the distressed Y/n, soon enough noticing the new predicament of her mask. Seeing just a bit more of her appearance was keeping him hooked, and though he knew sneaking a photo of this would be a great money maker, he decided to keep this to himself.
“You have a cute nose!” Honey complimented, bending over closer to her face to get a look. Y/n’s eyes immediately went wide at the lack of space, and she felt her heart beating a bit faster.
“Mitsukuni,” Mori shook his head, pulling the boy back to sit beside him. “Personal space,” he kindly reminded the boy before adding, “I agree.”
Y/n just mumbled an incoherent thanks while turning her face to look over at Haruhi, shoving the mask up over her nose. "What's going on with them now?" Y/n wondered focusing her attention now on the twins who were continually backing Tamaki up farther away to the point he might bump into something.
"The twins are pressuring Tamaki," Haruhi noticed calmly taking a sip of her water.
"I'll be back," Y/n quickly removed the towel and pulled down her longer skirt so that more was covered. She headed over to the three other members, stopping behind them. "He's going to get hurt," She pointed out, Tamaki’s sole of his foot almost touching a sharp rock. At the sound of her voice, they all turned around, mouths dropping a bit while taking in the new image of her. "You all are some pervs," She scoffed, swiftly spinning around and walking off.
"No! Y/n wait! Y/n wait!" Tamaki called out while jogging up to her. She stopped in her tracks to allow him to continue, now embarrassed about what she was wearing and trying to cover herself with her arms. "You should dress how you want. There are no guests here, just us, it's a vacation," He reassured her, reaching over to take a hand. “We were just surprised, you look lovely.”
"Yeah Y/n, but what happened to the outfits we offered you to wear?" Kaoru wondered.
"Our mother made the line, the finest of the finest," Hikaru reminded her.
"I didn't want to wear that and didn't want to be here, today's the day I visit my grandmother with my father," She glanced back, the boys all cowering together at the sight of her narrowed eyes and threatening tone, snatching her arm away from Tamaki.
Not too much earlier that day Y/n was walking out of the school while talking to her father on the flip phone.
"Yes, I'll be home soon, the driver should be here. I hope I'll be seeing Nii-san there too," She softly spoke into the phone, cautious of being too loud. At a brisk pace, she made her way to where the limo could normally be found. "Okay father, I'm-"
"Bring her in," Tamaki muttered, letting the twins grab her and pull her in the limo. The abruptness of her daughter's voice disappearing caused him to start yelling on the other line at the thought of his daughter possibly getting kidnapped.
"Sorry Mr. Takahashi, Y/n has some business to attend to with the club. It was a last-minute decision and we hope you will excuse her absence for today. At this meeting, we hope to discuss our businesses. This is also Ootori Kyoya, you can call my residence if you don't believe this is truly me and they will reassure you," Kyoya spoke to her father on the phone, sitting in the limo with the annoyed girl.
"Did they kidnap you too?" Y/n looked towards her friend Haruhi.
"Yeah, and I have laundry to do today," She hissed while looking straight at Tamaki who just had a smug look.
"Your grandmother?" Kyoya inquired.
"You don't speak about your family much," Haruhi added.
"No, I don't. It's because my family doesn't have to do with business," She shrugged. "Or at least, what my family is like."
"But it has to do with friendship," Honey chirped up. "And we are all best friends here!"
"Right," Y/n nodded to herself, switching her tone to a more joyful one trying to forget the earlier annoyances.
"What is this place again?" Haruhi questioned, still a bit confused about how they were still in Japan. The scenery was nothing like anywhere she had ever been before, more as if they were on a tropical island.
"This place is a brand new theme park that my family, the Ootori Group, runs. It's called the Tropical Aqua Garden," He informed her.
"I don't understand, I thought the Ootori group ran hospitals and that they were focused on the medical business," Haruhi remembered.
"Yes, but my family likes to diversify and try different things. We are also trying to have better relations with the Takahashi family, so making this healing facility we can incorporate some of their technology," He turned to Y/n after he finished speaking. Soon enough she was back to reading, luckily packing an extra book in her backpack. She lay on her side in the chair, a bit of her bottoms showcasing the side of her bottom. The acknowledgment made Kyoya heat up a little himself, opening up another button of his shirt and throwing a towel over her bottom half.
"Oh yeah! It's the best for both companies," She added, not truly paying attention and barely noticing the new addition of a cover.
"Y/n helped make some of the technology, correct?"
"I help my father with this business a lot, that's how I grew up," She looked over the top of the novel, settling back into her seat now lying on her back and being engulfed in her book.
"This is therapeutic, think of all the people who are overworked and would love a vacation in the south tropics. However, they may not be able to get the time off or they may not be able to afford it. Those people can now seek refuge here at the theme park, and reduce their stress levels," He pushed up his glasses. "The Ootori group's primary concern has always been for the good health and well-being of the general public."
"It sounds suspicious to me," Haruhi commented.
"Even with my company involved?" Y/n now looked up from her book, staring at the girl with a bit of hurt on her features.
"I-I mean I don't know. If you guys are involved then maybe not," She trailed off, looking at some of the other members playing in the water.
"The park doesn't officially open until next month but the Host Club was given a special advance invitation," Kyoya told her.
"This is so relaxing, we don't have to worry about keeping all of our guests entertained for once," Tamaki relaxed into the chair, legs stretched out and arms up high.
"N/n-chan! Want to share some coconut juice with me? Have a slice of mango cake?" Honey inquired, having a floaty on and jumping up and down beside the girl.
"Oh, I'm okay at the moment," She politely said standing up to look around a bit more. She had seen the layout but wasn't as involved with this project as much as she was with others in her family company.
"Y/n, Haruhi, want to go check out the water slide?" Hikaru asked, walking over to the girls, his brother chomping on a banana.
"Why aren't you wearing a top suitable for water anyway?" Kaoru realized, looking at Y/n in her shirt covering the bathing suit. “Are you going to take it off?”
"I don't want to," Y/n deadpanned, grabbing Haruhi's wrist.
"So, you're not going to swim?" Kaoru questioned, raising his voice a bit as Y/n was making her run away from the twins.
"Not today. If I wish to swim I can do it at home," She yelled back now dragging Haruhi away from the boys.
"I wish I were at home," Haruhi sighed letting Y/n pull her off in the opposite direction.
"I am sorry, but I think we can still have some fun though!" Y/n beamed. "Let me grab my notebook, I haven't had a girlfriend before, I've been keeping notes for once I did!"
Haruhi stared at the girl, frozen in her place with a light blush taking over her cheeks. She figured she had many friends. Even though she was closed off at first, she's so many amazing things it's clear to anyone who looks at her. Haruhi felt saddened by the girl's lack of friendships, realizing that the Host Club were her only friends.
"You don't have any other friends?" Haruhi pondered, voicing her thoughts out loud. Y/n stopped her searching and turned around to face her.
"Not really, Father can be strict and I'm not close with many people besides my family. Ever since my mother died, he's kind of been like that," She lightly chuckled, not liking the way the mood was changing. "But the notebook is somewhere around here, just give me a moment."
Haruhi didn't realize her mother passed, Y/n didn't talk about her mother but she also didn't talk about herself all that much in general. Y/n was always listening to other people or speaking about her family’s company.
While the girls were looking for the notebook Y/n had in her bag, Tamaki pulled the boys aside, wanting to talk with them.
"Don't make Y/n and Haruhi do anything they don't want to you idiots!" Tamaki scolded.
"We weren't!" Kaoru argued.
"Did you encourage Y/n to cover up?" Hikaru questioned. "You were all over her for wearing shorts, why didn't she choose one of the bathing suits our mother made?"
"She would have looked nice, it seems like you have bad intentions behind letting her wear something else," Kaoru added.
"No! No! That's not it, it's not respectful for a lady to show a lot of skin, not a good look," He tried to defend himself.
"A good look?" Y/n looked up to him, scrunching her eyebrows.
"N/n-chan! Let's play in the pool, Haru-chan you come too!" Honey hung onto her arm now.
"We aren't going swimming today," Haruhi informed him.
"Honey-senpai, why are you wearing the floaties? You're able to swim, right?" Y/n queried.
"Yep!" He exclaimed, soon spinning around. "Just looks cuter this way, you know?" He smiled, running back to the water.
"Yeah," Y/n and Haruhi looked at each other, before giggling.
"He's so innocent," The twins mentioned.
"No way! You guys have got it all wrong!" A voice spoke, then there was some rumbling and Renge somehow was now emerging from the sand.
"How?"
But now most of the members were focused on her differing appearance. With a new addition to her skin and a cute outfit rather than the yellow uniform.
"That outfit is pretty impressive," Hikaru mentioned.
"What's with the tattoo on your stomach?" Kaoru asked, pointing at it.
"Oh, that? You don't recognize it? I'm cosplaying!"
"Yeah, as who?"
"LaLa."
"LaLa? Like the manga magazine?"
"Her petite and slender frame, her blue eyes that light up young men's faces, her singing voice! I'm Quon Kisaragi!" Renge exclaimed.
"It looks nice," Y/n complimented.
"Hey boss, are you sure it's okay for Renge to be dressed like that?" The twins wondered.
"Yeah, I suppose it is," He answered.
"Why her?"
"Because it's cosplay? I guess," Tamaki told them, not having perfect reasoning.
"Listen up, boys!" Renge called out. "And the girl. You need help, understanding Haniozuka's hidden motives! Look!" She pointed to the smaller boy who just jumped into the water with his pink, bunny floaty.
"What are you talking about?" Tamaki questioned, the group all peering over at where Honey was floating and giggling in the water.
"Think about what he said to you earlier," Renge declared. "He's not being as innocent and sweet as you think."
"I agree," Kyoya added. "Try putting the word 'I' at the beginning of the sentence," They thought back to how Honey said 'Just looks cuter this way, you know?' earlier.
"That's Haniozuka for you, in the last chapter he felt threatened by another loli-boy type, so he's taken steps to keep his rank," Renge explained to them, remembering Shiro and how he could somewhat fit that personality. "I should give him more credit, he's a lot smarter than I thought."
"Hey! Look at this, everybody!" Honey yelled on top of Mori who was swimming. "Check it out! Look! Even though we're swimming fast, we never go any farther than we are now! Ha, ha!"
"I got ya!" The twins called out, one shooting Tamaki in the face with a water gun.
"Come on, boss, let's go! Let's have a water gunfight! It'll be me and Kaoru against you," Hikaru declared. "If you get it in the face you lose."
"Forget it," Tamaki told them. "Why would I want to subject myself to a childish game like that?"
The Hitachiin twins jumped up, a plan now coming into their minds. "Y/n, what do you think about getting married?"
Tamaki started to pump the water gun, reaching down to grab another gun so that he could have two. He mumbled to himself, agitated, by getting ready for the fight to defend a certain someone's honor.
"Do you really think I'd let Y/n marry you guys?"
"Who said I would?" Y/n spoke up, but the boys were too consumed in their battle. "My father wouldn't either."
"I'm glad you know I wouldn't," Tamaki smiled at her.
"I meant my actual father," She rolled her eyes.
"Well, Daddy still says no!" Tamaki yelled, squirting the water gun at the boys.
"Did he not hear anything I said," Y/n wondered, walking back over to the chairs. She pulled out her book while Haruhi was lying back having a drink. "Taking a break from watching Honey-senpai?" Y/n asked Mori once he walked over.
"Yeah.”
"Do you want this drink? I'm not going to have it."
"Sure," He took the iced cold drink from her hands, sipping it while some of the other hosts continued to play with the water guns.
"I'll get you guys! Sideway leaping shot!" Tamaki called out, doing the move and shooting the twins who had something to block themselves. When landing he stepped onto a banana peel, causing him to slip and bump into a large stand. It was covered with different machines and such but soon enough it started to light up, and machinery around it began to beep indicating that he had pressed something when bumping into it.
Honey was in the pool, kicking his legs beneath the water, lying on his floatie. The boy looked so joyful, floating about and waving his hands toward his friends on the shore. Until, suddenly, a huge wave emerged from nowhere, crashing down upon him. His floaty flew up into the air, Honey merging around with the waves of the water.
"Mitsukuni!"
"Honey-senpai!"
Y/n and Mori ran towards the water that was taking away Honey. Mori was running so fast that he didn't notice the banana peel from earlier and ended up tripping.
"Gentlemen, we're going after Honey-senpai!" Tamaki declared, catching up with Y/n and Mori. "That pool looks like the quickest way," He pointed to the route a pool was rounding over in. "Charge!" He commanded, running off into the distance with the group- which now consisted of Y/n, Haruhi, Tamaki, Mori, Hikaru, and Kaoru -all followed the water path, until...
"Wait I wouldn't go-" Kyoya tried to warn them, before they stopped themselves, realizing that there were crocodiles in the path they were heading.
"I should have done my research before coming here," Y/n mumbled. As the group ran back over to Kyoya, scared of the sharp-toothed animals.
"Okay. So, we can't use that pool, so let's try this way next!" Tamaki commanded, sticking an arm up in the air and leading the group down a different path. But yet again, the creatures were blocking their path.
"They're here!" The twins yelled.
"Here too!" Tamaki added.
"What's with all the alligators?" Haruhi asked Y/n.
"No clue, my family just helped with this," She huffed, the group tired from running around.
"Those alligators belong to the park's tropical animals exhibit. I guess it's kind of dangerous to let them run wild," He expressed, writing down notes in a pocketbook. "Though, the cause of our present situation seems to be the location of the switch for the current pool," Kyoya turned to look at Y/n.
"I helped create the thing, not place it!" She tried to feign innocence.
"I'll just have a little chat with our designers," Kyoya reassured her. "Thanks a lot, you guys. I got some great data today."
"You WHAT?!"
After learning the true reason they were there, the group traveled over to where the bathrooms were. Looking at a map that was located in the area, luckily it panned out all the surrounding areas to help give them an idea of where to search next.
"This is our current location, we need to get here," Kyoya pointed at the map, showing the group. "I have a feeling that's where Honey-senpai ended up. It might be tough because to get there we'll have to make it through this jungle area here in the southern block, distance wise we are talking about 800 meters."
"I didn't realize how undeveloped this park was," Y/n looked at the map, seeing how some areas were marked off. "Could other things be lurking over there?"
"Since they're still being developed, I don't know," Kyoya spoke honestly.
"Whatever's out there could be even more dangerous," Hikaru started.
"Then alligators," Kaoru finished. Mori was a bit lost in his world, staring at the map and dissociating with what was going on around him, yet, his fist was clenched tightly.
"Now this is a mission of survival!" Tamaki declared. "I know we can make it through the treacherous jungle in one piece. It is our sworn duty to save Honey-senpai!"
The Host Club were walking through the little too-realistic jungle. They could hear birds squawking and see vines hanging down from the trees, having to duck out of their way. The sun shone on their skin, sweat drops appeared on their foreheads, and little skittering noises seemed to come from different directions.
"Wow, this place is just like a real jungle, huh?" Tamaki observed.
"Yeah, I keep hearing all of these really strange animal calls," Haruhi expressed, annoyed.
"We should be okay, as long as we stay away from the alligators. I mean there shouldn't be other crazy animals, this isn't a real jungle after all," Y/n joked, trying to put on a light tone.
"I'm not for sure, I know my family strives for authenticity whatever the cost," Kyoya voiced causing Y/n's confidence about being safe to drift. But she didn’t have much time to dwell on it as Mori had slipped on a banana peel a few steps ahead of her, now frozen and just lying on the ground.
"Mori-senpai-"
"Is acting as carelessly as you do boss!"
"Shut up!"
"Mori-senpai, here," Y/n put a hand down, to try and show that she would help him up. He took it and she strained to pull the heavier man up. She plotted her two feet into the ground to use all her muscles in lifting him and almost loosened her grip when the sky seemed to get much darker. Most of the group turned towards Kyoya in hopes that he would reveal why such an occurrence was occurring.
"Uh oh, it's about time for the squall," He announced to the group, glancing down at his watch.
"Huh?" The twins wondered and soon enough the rain started. It was pouring heavily which forced the group to run to shelter, trying to not get drenched from the storm.
Y/n walked up to Mori, touching his shoulder lightly to get his attention, "Mori-senpai, you and Honey-senpai are very close. How did you meet him?" She looked up to him for an answer. In all reality, their background was not the biggest concern at the moment, but she hoped that if she got him communicating it would help relieve some of his tension.
"You don't know-"
"Their cousins?" The twins questioned, finishing each other's sentence.
"They are?" Y/n turned around, looking at the twins with her eyebrows tilted to show confusion.
"The Morinozukas have been serving the Haninozuka family for generations," Kyoya remarked.
"However, two generations ago they became family by marriage, and the master-servant relationship soon became a thing of the past," Tamaki went more into depth, waving his hand about while explaining the dynamics.
"But even so Mori-senpai has always made it a point to accompany Honey-senpai."
"I think Honey-senpai will be alright," Y/n walked back up to Mori, touching his shoulder once again. "He might be a little cutie, but I have a feeling he can be tough when he wants to," Y/n laughed, seeing a faint smile appear on the male's face.
"You're right," He patted her head, nodding.
"Don't tell me Mori-senpai's out for my spot as Y/n's daddy?!" Tamaki stressed.
"Not my father" Y/n commented, rolling her eyes. Haruhi went over to Tamaki, trying to comfort him from sprouting too many mushrooms.
"No one wants that spot but you boss," Hikaru reminded him.
"That's kind of creepy when you think about it," Kaoru confirmed.
"Hello, it's me," Kyoya moved off to the side to answer his phone, explaining the situation to those who could help solve it.
It was not too long till the rain cleared up. Most of the group were too occupied in their antics to notice that Mori was leaving them behind. Haruhi was talking with the twins, letting them ramble about how Tamaki was annoying and trying to appropriately deal with a frustrated Tamaki arguing back. But Y/n decided to step away from the bickering and focused her attention on the one who seemed to need it most, Mori.
"Uh, Mori-senpai!" She called out, jogging to catch up with the man going through the bushes. "Honey-senpai didn't go this way, he was heading that way," She pointed in the opposite direction.
"You're wrong. He went this way," He corrected her just keeping up the same pace in the same direction he was traveling in prior. It was almost as if he had an instinct to guide him where Honey was.
"Well, uh," Y/n looked back a bit hesitant to leave the rest of the group. But with a quick worry about Mori being on his own (despite being easily capable of combatting danger), she started to jog her way back over to him "Wait, I'll come with!"
Mori had made much distance between her quick contemplation as he was much taller and had longer strides. She also had to combat the prickly vines covering some of the ground and bugs scattering about.
"I didn't think it would be this realistic!" She exclaimed, trying to hop around a large spider making its way closer to her.
"Y/n," Mori walked over and picked up the girl with ease, it did not matter how big Y/n was, the man had carried much weight over the years, easily more than what she could weigh.
"Um, um, I can wa-walk," She stuttered, startled by him picking her up. "I am fine," She laughed.
"Shhh," He simply spoke, continuing down his path as Y/n just slouched in his grip.
Not much had changed with the situation over where the rest of the club members stayed safe underneath the hut. The twins and Tamaki continued with their pestering one another while Haruhi kept trying to calm their useless arguments.
"That's enough," Haruhi sighed, she shook her head in disappointment and raised her voice to catch the attention of the immature boys. Tamaki was still fuming from the insults the twins were throwing his way, face red with anger and annoyance. However, the one person who wasn’t focused on the arguing was Kyoya, who finally got off the phone and noticed the unnecessary fighting between the three.
"My family's private police force is going to send in a search and rescue team to help us," Kyoya told the group. "They're better equipped to find Honey-senpai than we are, let's go by the gate and wait there.”
"Hey, where is Mori-senpai and Y/n-chan?" Haruhi asked aloud and all the loudness from the group finally ceased.
Mori was still holding Y/n against his front while she propped up her head with her elbow on his shoulder. They went along with trying to find the smaller, yet older male, Mori easily making his way through the path.
"Mori-senpai, when you and Hone-" Y/n stopped her question, starting to hear multiple footsteps approaching. "What's that?" She turned her head to try and look at him more, tightening her hold on him slightly.
The noises got louder and pounding appeared when they were rapidly surrounded by men dressed in all black, having guns trained on the duo and a shield over their face.
"What.... the..... hell?!" Y/n exclaimed, starting to scramble in Mori's arms. "Just let me down, maybe I can talk to them," She told him, struggling more in his grip. She tried to get out of his hold, putting pressure to push herself down
"No, you're safe here," He tightened his grip around her body, placing a hand on the back of her head and rubbing her hair lightly. His eyes glared at the armed men all around and his stance slightly changed in preparation.
"Target confirmed, we found the little kid, they are with a suspicious figure," The officer confirmed through his walkie-talkie.
"Little kid?" Y/n questioned in disbelief.
"The target has been captured by a suspicious man," Another officer added. "We'll take the target into custody,” He took his finger away from the earpiece at his ear and cocked his gun towards the two. “You there! Put that kid down immediately! If you refuse, we'll remove them forcefully," Now they all cocked their guns and one man closer to Y/n tried to reach out and grab her arm to pull her over Mori's shoulder.
"Wait! Let's talk this out- Ow!" She screamed at the harsh grip of the officer. Mori instantly spun around and hit the officer in the chest sending him flying and landing into a bush. The other officers stood still and confirmed that if Mori made another move they were going to fire.
"Takashi! N/n-chan! Out of the way!" Honey called out, swinging from a vine soon enough, he had his feet colliding with an officer's face.
Now all the officers' attention remained on the new addition, guns trained on Honey. But this was no matter as it didn’t falter Honey’s movements, he quickly jumped into action, defeating all of the officers in record time.
"You guys should be more careful who you mess with! Picking on my friends is bad! Got it?" He pointed to one of the officers though there were no responses from the men he was speaking to as they were all groaning from injuries.
"Y/n!" Haruhi called out, running over with the group. "Are you guys alright?" At the noise of the others arriving Mori put down Y/n, keeping a hand on her shoulder while they came closer.
"Hey, it's Haru-chan!" Honey beamed, running up to hug her.
"Oh wow," Hikaru looked around at the damage made.
"You okay senpai?" Kaoru asked.
"Y/n!" Tamaki yelled, flinging his arms open to give a hug, tears running down his cheeks. He jumped up and down with the girl in his grip, Mori’s hand subtly falling away from Y/n’s shoulder.
"I'm fine," She grumbled, putting a hand out to his chest to stop him from getting closer, but this just caused a blush to appear.
"What... happened?" Haruhi looked around while the twins kept touching the officers to see if they were alive.
"Amazingly, this was Honey-senpai's work," Kaoru observed.
"He must have been holding back," Hikaru agreed.
"Holding back?" Haruhi pondered.
"You don't know about senpai?" Hikaru turned around, Haruhi and Y/n shaking their head no. "The Haninozukas are famous for their martial arts. Not only have they helped train the police and SDF forces, they've also worked with several overseas militaries.”
"Honey-senpai in particular has been called the dreadnaught of the Haninozuka family," Kyoya told them. "By the time he was in middle school, he'd become the national champion in both karate and judo."
"Mori-senpai's no slouch either. He won the national championship in Kendo when he was just in middle school," Tamaki added.
"We humbly apologize!" An officer woke up, and now he and his men were in the bowing position.
"Huh?" The host club turned to look at them.
"I'm a second-generation student of the Ishizuka Dojo," an officer exclaimed, soon others talking about where they were from, all apologizing.
"Why? Is something wrong?" Honey questioned curiously.
"Oh Honey-senpai," Y/n lightly giggled before breaking out into a harder laugh. Maybe it was all the nerves from just moments before and how quickly the situation changed but she couldn’t help bursting into a fit of laughter. Though this was a pleasant moment for the rest of the club members, they all got to enjoy a truly happy moment from the girl they were all beginning to adore.
"We're sorry sir, we didn't understand that we were looking for Haninozuka Mitsukuni," The officers once again apologized. "We've committed a terrible offense, I apologize. But my dojo will be so excited to hear that I've come face-to-face with the great Haninozuka! I cherish this moment!"
"Takashi, you did an amazing job of protecting N/n-chan!" Honey congratulated him. "I bet you were pretty lonely without me around, huh?"
"I don't know if I'd say that," Mori told him, giving a small glance to Y/n.
It was finally the end of the day with the sun setting on the realistic jungle.
"You know, maybe we should go to the beach next," Hikaru suggested.
"Yeah, the beach would be nice," Kaoru agreed.
"You idiots, Y/n and Haruhi aren't interested in anything like that," Tamaki rolled his eyes.
"I might like to go to the beach," Haruhi confessed.
"I haven't been there in a long time," Y/n remarked.
"Really?"
"The beach holds memories, it might be nice to revisit some of those," Y/n nodded at them and they all made their way off to the exit.
"Yeah! All right. Then that's where we'll go next time," Tamaki told the group.
"We're all gonna go to the beach, Tama-chan?" Honey repeated. "Hmm, that'll be fun, don't you think?" Honey asked Mori, from on top of his shoulders.
"Yeah," He agreed.
"That will be fun," Y/n looked back at the group rounded up all together laughing and messing around.

The Grade School Host is the Naughty Type! - a young boy joins the host club in hopes of learning from the masters to impress a special lady. yet they aren’t ready for all the effort it takes to train such a rowdy young man.
pairing - fem! reader x host club
apart of - ouran add-in
The theme for this special day was Arabian as their clothes were flowing in gorgeous colors with prized possessions, in gold, filtered about the room. When the boy in a green uniform finally opened the door, he was shocked at what he was witnessing, the image seeming like something not from their country but a foreign one. He tripped over himself and stared up at the members in astonishment.
"Welcome to the Ouran Host Club," The club announced, all seated by each other with ripe, delicious fruits peeked in between and extravagant furniture.
"Oh it's just a kid," Hikaru noticed.
"Not only that, it's just a boy," Kaoru added, clearly the two disappointed.
"What's wrong little boy? Did you come to my palace in search of something?" Tamaki stuck out his hand with a golden ring and red gem resting in his palm.
"Uh, are you the king of this place?" The boy wondered, standing up from the ground.
"Come closer, lost one," Tamaki motioned for him to come over. "What was it you just called me?"
"The king."
"Ah, the King! Yes, I'm the king of the Ouran Host Club! Long live the host king."
"Oh no," Y/n whispered, looking at Tamaki who practically had stars in his eyes. He was standing up from his throne proudly, standing tall to pretend as if he were on a balcony surveying his kingdom.
"I'm an elementary fifth year, Takaoji Shiro," He introduced. "I want the Host Club King to take me on as an apprentice!"
Due to a successful flattering, soon enough the elementary school student was taken on as a co-host and offered the opportunity to watch Tamaki in action.
"Oh my, Tamaki, you have an apprentice?" A black-haired female wondered, sitting beside him.
"Yes, he's still in elementary school but I like the fire in his eyes.”
"But are you sure it's okay for such a young boy to become a host?"
"Why wouldn't it be? Love has nothing to do with age," Tamaki spoke, gently caressing her chin. "Take us for instance, whenever I look at you my heart starts pounding. Suddenly I feel no different than a lovesick little boy."
"Oh-oh Tamaki," The girl stuttered.
"Isn't it a little strange how Shiro-kun is just watching?" Y/n wondered, turning towards Haruhi and Kyoya who were also witnessing the whole scene go down. Shiro was in between Tamaki and his guest, face a little too close up to where Tamaki was touching her face.
"There is a theory that people are considered more beautiful the closer they are viewed. Tamaki seems to live by that theory," Kyoya told them. Y/n nodded in understanding and walked up closer to Kyoya. She put her face near his, their noses almost touching, before pulling away and sitting back down beside Haruhi.
He felt his cheeks warm up, "Well, ahem, let's leave them alone," He muttered, moving further away from where Y/n was now sitting.
"You naughty girl, you've drawn me to the forbidden fruit. Dearest you're the mermaid who's brought light into my lonely sea. My mermaid princess," Tamaki flirted.
"I remind you of a mermaid?" The girl asked.
"You look more like the carp that swims in my pond at home," The younger boy insulted. "I'd never give false compliments like that!"
"Carp?"
"Don't listen to him, he's just a kid, you know how kids are. They can't help but be honest," Tamaki tried to reassure her.
"Honest?"
"But that's just his opinion! I wouldn't say you look like a carp, and even if you did look like a carp you'd be the most beautiful carp of them all!" Tamaki spoke frantically.
"So I am a carp!"
"Uh, no that-that's not what I meant," Tamaki stuttered.
"Tamaki you're an idiot!" She cried, running out of the room embarrassed and ashamed.
"No wait! Mermaid princess!"
"Man, what a crybaby," Shiro commented, crossing his legs and arms in disappointment.
"So how's it going boss, that's an adorable little apprentice you've got there," Hikaru laughed.
"Hikaru, do you wish you had a little brother like Shiro?" Kaoru questioned.
"Don't be silly, I could search the globe and I'd never find a better brother than you, Kaoru," Hikaru expressed, taking his brother into his arms for a tight hug.
"Uh, Hikaru."
"Look! They're doing it! It's forbidden brotherly love," Two girls cooed.
"They're homos! And they're brothers! That makes this totally insectuous!" The boy yelled.
"I think what you mean to say was incestuous," Tamaki corrected.
"Hey Shiro-chan! Want to have a piece of cake with me?" Honey wondered, jumping onto the younger boy's back. "We've got three kinds, chocolate, strawberry, and lime."
"Hey! Back off, what grade are you in any way?” Shiro shook his back in an attempt to get Honey off of him. “Why are you wearing a High school uniform?" Shiro asked staring at Honey with a disgusted face. In response, Honey's eyes started to bubble with tears.
"Something is wrong? Mitsukuni?" Mori queried.
"Honey-senpai, are you alright?" Y/n questioned, walking over to the boy. "I'd love to have cake with you, we can talk while you eat," Y/n nodded, letting the boy grab her hand.
"That's not fair! A little kid like you isn't supposed to have a cool older friend and a hot girl like her!" Shiro complained, walking backward in annoyance until he was stopped due to bumping into Haruhi.
"Are you alright? I know it's kinda hard to get used to all the weirdos around here, besides Y/n. She's very kind," Haruhi looked up at Y/n who was now showing a book to Mori. "It took me a while to get adjusted to all the craziness, so don't freak out. I'm sure you'll get used to it," She tried to reassure him.
"Do you need help with that tea, Haruhi-chan?" Y/n inquired, walking over and grabbing some of the cups.
"Bend down," The elementary boy gestured for Y/n to come down to his height. "What's with the mask?" He moved his hand to hover over her mouth, about to try and snatch the fabric to see what was underneath.
"Okay that's enough," Tamaki grabbed Shrio from the back of his jacket, pulling him away. "Shiro, why don't you take care of the tea set?"
"Y/n, you're looking very nice today," Hikaru commented, patting her head.
"Just give the set to the boy and let him do his training," Kaoru mentioned.
"Okay, just be careful, it's kind of heavy," Y/n told him, handing him the tray that Haruhi was once holding. Shiro quickly dropped it, the glass silverware and cups shattering all over the floor.
"It's not my fault I dropped it, it's her fault because she gave it to you, causing you to give it to me," Shiro said, pointing to Haruhi.
"Wait what?" Haruhi’s eyes went wide, shaking her head and raising her voice at the young boy's accusations.
"Excuse me?" Y/n asked, her opinion on the boy changing vastly. It was clear he was not a well-behaved child, speaking his mind in cases where he should be holding back.
"That's another one hundred thousand yen Haruhi," Kyoya added.
"What?" She fumed.
"Have that mask girl do it, don't girls love doing that? I'm not here to carry tea sets, I'm here to learn how to make women happy!" He snarled.
"Repeat that?" Y/n walked over by him, getting pulled back a bit by the twins.
"You won't get anywhere with that attitude. And I am not going to let you disrespect Y/n. So, put this brat in isolation!" Tamaki declared, pointing his finger at the boy.
"You got it, boss!" The twins popped up, fingers in the air, and soon enough a cage was lowered down, trapping Shrio.
"What's going on here?! Why'd you put me in a cage all of a sudden?!" Shiro thundered.
"I don't know if we can do this," Y/n muttered.
"Where did it come from? This is supposed to be a music room, right?" Haruhi's sweat dropped.
"This is no way to treat your loyal apprentice! Now let me out of this cage!" Shiro thudded on the bars. He tried to reach a hand through to reach something or someone, even though nothing was near his grip.
"Not until you've learned your lesson," Tamaki told him, sipping some tea. "I made you my apprentice because I thought you were serious about becoming a host, but I guess I was wrong."
"I am serious. Totally serious," He argued, not jumping around in the cage as much as he once was.
"Are we going to let him out soon, if word gets out we keep people in cages, our family businesses will be in trouble," Y/n mentioned, looking around to see if anyone else would do something. With no one making the move she just sighed to herself and went over to the couch to read a novel.
"I want you to teach me how to make a woman happy!" He exclaimed. "I'm going to run out of time. Please, won't you teach me? You're a host because you like girls, you like bringing a smile to a girl's face. That's why you do it, right? Please won't you teach me how to be like you?" Shiro begged. "You're a genius at it, you're the king!"
"Well, you may be a brat, but I admire your desire to become a host, so I'll teach you!" Tamaki decided. "You know Shiro, you and I are so much alike.”
"Here we go," Y/n looked up from her book to see the gleaming Tamaki, his pridefulness returned.
"Then you'll help me become a host that can make any woman happy?" Shiro grinned.
"Of course, making women happy is the sole purpose of being a host," Tamaki explained. "If this is what you really want Shiro, then you'll have to figure out how to use the material you already have.”
"What does that mean?"
"You see, here at the Ouran Host Club, our policy is to use our individual personality traits to meet the needs of our guests," Kyoya began. "For example, there's Tamaki, who is the princely type, strong silent type, boy lolita type, little devil type, cool type, and natural type," Kyoya showed, lastly pointing to Haruhi. "Now we are complete with Y/n, the special, caring type," He finished, the group now standing next to each other.
"Special, caring?" Y/n repeated
"It would seem that right now we have a perfect blend of characteristics, so it's going to be difficult to find a new type for Shiro," Kyoya confessed.
"If you go by his age, he should be the boy Lolita type."
"But Honey-senpai already has that covered," Kaoru told his brother.
"Is he going to replace me?" Honey worried.
"He's more like a tsundere type," Y/n mentioned, moving over by Haruhi.
"Oh, come on, is that all you got?" A voice wondered, soon motor noises were heard and Renge, once again, appeared from the ground.
"What's up with this place, it's supposed to be a music room," Haruhi voiced to Y/n, Y/n just shaking her head.
"Not all rich people's buildings are like this," Y/n commented. "Though at my house, we have a fish tank that comes out of the ground."
"Sorry to interrupt gentleman, but what's with the lackluster character analysis? I must say I'm quite disappointed, I thought I taught you better," She expressed.
"Alright Miss manager, how would you work Shiro into our collection of characters?" Tamaki queried. “He can't be the boy Lolita because Honey's already got that covered."
"You just don't get it, do you? Now listen up, there are plenty of girls out there who have a thing for younger boys or boys with baby faces," Renge told the group. "These girls would be considered Shota fans. Now, Shota can be a fairly broad category so it's important to know that the genre can be broken down into many different smaller sub-categories," She pointed.
"For example, shota fans with an interest in Lolita boys would favor a boy like Haninozuka-senpai," Renge told the boys, most of them listening carefully, Kyoya taking notes and Y/n peaking over to look at his notes. "But this little boy is different. If I had to pick a character for him... Yes! He'd be the naughty boy type without a doubt,"
"So tsundere?" Y/n voiced, looking at her friend who was currently trying to stifle a laugh.
"The naughty type?" Shiro repeated, someone blowing a whistle.
"Now to play up the naughty type, you should wear shorts," Renge bent down, noticing that he was wearing shorts, and she blew the whistle again. "You've got to have bumps and bruises, give him some scars!" She encouraged the twins who were putting bandages and drawing marks on Shiro.
"I don't think that Shiro needs to"
"Run like a spoiled child! Make it reckless!" Renge demanded. "Now I want you to trip and make it big!" Shiro ran and tripped on a rope, landing harshly. "Are you okay little boy? Now give them your catchphrase!"
"No big deal, it was nothing," He responded proudly.
"That was perfect! Absolutely perfect Shiro!" Renge beamed.
"That was outstanding," Tamaki clapped. "I never knew you were such a great coach, Renge."
"I've had enough of you people," Shiro yelled, gaining the attention of everyone. "This is so stupid, none of this is ever gonna help me make her happy.”
"Her?" Y/n pondered, watching the boy run away.
"Wait, Shiro! We haven't taught you how to apply the techniques you've learned yet," Tamaki called out to him.
"I swear younger boys are good for nothing. I went to all that trouble to coach him and he quits," Renge complained, disappearing back into the ground.
"I can't believe he ditched us just because he didn't like the lesson, what a selfish little brat," Tamaki ranted, clearly annoyed at losing his apprentice.
"I don't think he wanted us to assign him a personality. He had said 'she', he wants to impress a specific girl." Y/n tried to reason with the upset Tamaki.
"Also, didn't you hear him mention that he was going to run out of time," Haruhi added. "What could that mean?"
Soon enough the club came up with a plan. They knew that the young boy needed some help and they were going to be the ones to do it, after all, he needed help impressing a girl and that was the club's specialty. Their genius plan was to send in Y/n and Honey as students at the elementary school in hopes of finding out more about Shiro and the mystery lady.
"I don't get why I'm a part of this," Y/n whispered, pouting underneath her mask.
"It will be okay N/n-chan. It was so easy to sneak in," Honey reassured her, wearing an elementary school uniform himself. "And wearing this uniform, I look like I'm in elementary school."
"Yeah I agree, I get why they wanted you. But I don't get why they needed me, I don't exactly resemble an elementary schooler with my size. Not to forget that I'm wearing a middle school uniform," Y/n looked down at her dress, and moved a hand to feel her braid. Along with the new outfit Y/n also had to put some dark blush on her cheeks, putting it on the parts that could be seen above her mask. "I don't get the point of these disguises."
In front of the two club members, some actual students just peered at them in confusion.
"Oh there's a reason, a damn good one," Tamaki muttered before Honey grabbed onto Y/n’s wrist and helped lead her down the hall.
"Isn't she the cutest!" The twins adored.
"I don't think Y/n is happy about this," Haruhi commented.
"Look at her in that miniskirt, Y/n looks like a model," Tamaki admired.
"So, basically you just wanted to see her dressed up like that," Kyoya realized, watching Tamaki peek at the two 'undercover' members walking down the hall. Though Honey and Y/n weren’t easily seen since by then they had already made it into the classroom.
"This is it, Shiro-chan's classroom," Honey told her, opening the door.
"Okay, let's try not to cause any more attention than we already have," Y/n told him.
"When I was in elementary school, this was my classroom too!" Honey ran around.
"Wait, there is no one here," Y/n whispered to herself.
"So the kid's classroom is empty, is it?" Tamaki walked in.
"This surely takes me back," The twins reminisced, wandering around the classroom. The club members all walked around, looking around the desks, at the chalkboard, and checking out the bookshelves, they were reminded of their childhoods.
"I wonder if my doodles are still on my desk," Kaoru wondered.
"Doubtful, the school changes out the desks every year," Kyoya informed them.
"Every year, at our schools they keep the same ones. If we were lucky they would somewhat clean them," Haruhi mentioned, following after them.
"If you guys are just walking in like nothing, what was the point of us wearing these?" Y/n pondered, gesturing down to her uniform in annoyance.
"Don't worry about it," Hikaru voiced.
"There's no one here to catch us," Kaoru reassured her. But as if he had just jinxed everyone, soon enough they could hear the echoing of footsteps in the hall. In the assumption that it was a teacher, they all ducked down under the desks.
"If the teacher finds us," Hikaru began.
"We'll have a hard time explaining how we snuck in," Kaoru finished.
"This is why I told you guys we should wait outside," Haruhi scolded them, while the twins then commented back, now the three first years bickering.
"Be quiet, we don't want the teacher finding us," Y/n warned them, putting a finger to her lips. They waited a few silent moments before they could recognize that the footsteps had dispersed. Just to be sure, Y/n got up first and checked around before signaling everyone else to come out, "He's gone, but how are we going to find Shiro-kun?" She queried.
"Well, here's something interesting," Kyoya stated, looking at photos. The rest of the members surrounded Kyoya, all filing up beside him to look at what he had found.
"What did you find?" Haruhi questioned and in response, Kyoya pointed to a certain photo. "Hey! That's Shiro."
"So he's into classical music."
"He's also with a girl. Maybe that's the girl he was talking about," Y/n realized, turning around and looking at the group.
"There's Shiro-chan!" Honey pointed out to a classroom near the one they were in. He was seen talking with a girl before she had moved over to a piano bench to start playing. At the notice of another elementary girl from the same class exiting the classroom, Tamaki walked over to her.
"Excuse me, Mademoiselle," Tamaki started, catching her attention. "I've never seen a rose more lovely than you, my dear. Here, this is for you," He offered up the flower, bowing a little and then shortening his stance so they were more eye level. "I was wondering if you could tell me anything about that young lady playing the piano. Do you know her?"
"That's Kameeshido, Hina," The little girl told him.
"Her name is Hina?" Tamaki repeated.
"That's right, but you better not fall in love with her."
"Why?"
"Didn't you know? Hina has to move away soon. Her dad just got a new job in Germany, so they have to move there at the end of the week," She told him, waltzing away while smelling the pretty flower.
"What do you think you're doing?!" Shiro yelled. "I want you idiots to leave immediately!" He rushed over to where the group was, face as red as a beet. But Tamaki made no reaction, just picked up the smaller boy and put him over his shoulder. "Put me down! What are you doing? Ah!" Tamaki made no hesitation in making the way out of the building with the rest of the club following behind, still carrying the flailing boy.
"It's time to go, gentleman, Y/n,” He paused for a few seconds, turning his head around the best he could to peer at Shiro, “Quit thrashing around," Tamaki deadpanned.
Once they all finally made their way back to Ouran Highschool Tamaki had just plopped the boy onto the sofa.
"What is your problem, you big idiot!" Shiro snapped.
"I'm sorry, but you're the idiot. You said you wanted me to teach you how to make women happy. But that's not it, is it? You're not concerned with the happiness of just any woman. You've got your sights set on one woman in particular. You only care about one, and that's Kamishiro Hina," Tamaki objected. "When you care for someone, you must find the courage to express what is in your heart. You have to tell her how you feel about her."
"It doesn't matter anymore, I've run out of time. I just wanted to hear her play before she left for good, that's all," Shiro expressed, staring at his hands in his lap, refusing to make eye contact with Tamaki.
"That piece she played, it's Mozart Sonata in D major for two pianos, isn't it?" Tamaki wondered, walking over to a curtain in the corner and pulling it back to show a beautiful, shining piano.
Haruhi turned towards Y/n, "Wait a minute, since when is there a grand piano in here?"
"Well, this is a music room after all," Kaoru told her, shrugging his shoulders.
"So, why wouldn't it have a grand piano?" Hikaru asked her.
"It is a music room," Kyoya asserted.
"It is a music room," Mori repeated.
"It's always been there, we just had it covered up," Honey explained happily bouncing over to where the piano stayed.
"It's such a nice piano too," Y/n admired taking a few steps to the musical instrument herself. She placed a hand on the top, admiring the keys, and before reaching over to play one Tamaki had taken a spot on the bench. He peered up at the girl, a soft smile on his features, and began to play himself. Shiro watched Tamaki in his prime who was playing a mystical piece and taking multiple peaks up to look over at Y/n’s expression.
Whenever there was an ounce of free time Shiro would be right on the bench learning to mimic the rapid finger movements that Tamaki possessed, all working towards completing the goal of expressing himself to Hina.
It didn’t take long, with all the effort and time Tamaki had taken to teach the young boy soon enough he was prepared to play the piece himself. On a special day, the host club invited Hina to come to Music Room 3, dressing up for the young girl in anticipation of the cute moment that awaited.
"Welcome princess, we've been waiting," They all announced.
"I present to you, Takaoji Shiro’s piano recital," Tamaki introduced. He took Hina’s much smaller arm in his own, joining together at the arm, and pushed out a seat for her to sit near the piano and Shiro.
"Let's play together Hina," Shiro stated, and very happily the girl obliged. She pulled up her chair more to the other piano starting to play while he played his. It was a truly beautiful musical melody, the two kids glancing back at one another while passionately playing the piece. It was a comforting and rewarding scene for the club to witness. Just the two gleeful children indulging in some musical enjoyment.
"We did a good thing," Tamaki observed the two, with a smile on his face. Y/n looked at him, her eyes scrunched up a bit to show she was smiling underneath the mask. It was on this day she got to peak into Tamaki’s interior a bit more, he was a man who had such a large passion for guiding others.
"You did Tamaki-senpai, you aren't too bad," She laughed as a small blush appeared on his cheeks with a certain admiration sparkling in his eyes.
A week later Shiro came in to see the host club once again.
"So, you've been exchanging emails with Hina now that she's in Germany?" Haruhi inquired.
"That's great Shiro-kun," Y/n complemented.
"Yeah, I like her but she can get pretty jealous for an elementary school girl. She'd be upset if she knew I was with you ladies, so let's keep this our little secret," He confessed to the girls surrounding him on the couch and nearby chairs.
"Naughty boys are the best!"
"I could kiss you."
"Ah, you little brat, those are my guests!" Tamaki fumed.
"Well it looks like they have found someone they like better," Shiro voiced. "It was so easy to steal your customers, I think there's a new host king in town."
"I thought he'd make it through without exploding this time," Kaoru and his brother expressed holding down the blonde.
"We should have known he was gonna blow up sooner or later," Hikaru realized.
"I'm going to assume Tamaki-senpai was also a spoiled brat as a child," Y/n declared, making her way over to Kyoya.
"I was not a spoiled brat! I was nothing like him when I was a kid! I was a sweet, innocent, precocious, adorable child," He whined.
"Of course senpai," Y/n voiced sarcastically. "And I was living in a commoner's home growing up," To this comment the twins broke out in loud laughter.
"Wait what does that mean? Do you not believe me? Wait Y/n!"

The Twins Fight! - what started as a tricky game soon turns into a dramatic argument where the twins cause chaos in their fight against one another
pairing - fem!reader x host club
apart of - ouran add-in
"Let's all play the ‘Which one is Hikaru’ game!" The twins exclaimed, standing up while the ladies clapped at their announcement. "So, can you tell which one of us is Hikaru?"
"Well, it's hard to say," One lady began, tapping her finger against her chin.
"You're identical!" The other added.
"Many ladies have tried to tell us apart, but so far none have succeeded."
"Oh, they're playing that game again?" Y/n turned to Haruhi, the girls didn't have any customers at the moment. They were just enjoying the less busy crowd and chatting about a book Y/n read recently.
"It's kind of stupid," Haruhi expressed.
"What? Have you got a problem with it, Haruhi?" They overheard her comment, turning to look at the two girls.
"No, it's just odd," She simply spoke, turning her attention back to Y/n.
"Hikaru! Kaoru!" Tamaki spoke, running in with a computer. "When I gave you control of the club's website, I did so on one condition. That you take it seriously!" Tamaki scolded them.
"We take our job very seriously boss," Hikaru responded.
"In fact, last night we worked on it till dawn," Kaoru added.
"Is this what you worked so hard to create?" He pulled up the screen, showing Y/n without her mask on and a shorter dress going up to her knees.
"Oh no," She stood up, grabbing onto the device to look at it. In response to seeing the less-than-accurate image, and realizing what lecture she would receive if her father saw such an image, she slumped to the ground.
"You look great N/n-chan," Honey smiled.
"Pretty," Mori commented, and soon enough the girls were all surrounding the screen trying to catch a glance.
"There, there," Haruhi patted her back.
"My teeth don't look like that," Y/n pouted. "Also my lips are not- never mind. You have to take that down," She walked over to the twins flicking their foreheads. "Kyoya-senpai!" She yelled, wandering off from the mischievous duo.
"When did you take those photos of her?" Tamaki walked up to the twins.
"Didn't you hear her? We didn't," Hikaru explained.
"There is something called Photoshop, boss," Kaoru added.
"Can you do it with her wearing this?" Tamaki lifted a magazine where the main model was wearing a fancy green dress.
"No," They deadpanned, walking away to leave a disappointed Tamaki. Instead, they decided to focus their attention back on Y/n who was arguing with Kyoya.
"I don't care if it got you more views on the website, if you don't want to be sued by my father take it down!" She stated, clearly frustrated and flustered trying to reason with Kyoya. In the presence of the twins, she switched her yelling onto them, taking the computer from Kyoya’s hands and motioning it to the boys. "Take it down," She pushed it in their hands.
"Why? It's fun. When we get bored we make fun."
"No," Y/n rolled her eyes, “This is not fun, this is bad!”
"You're our pet," Hikaru spoke, while Kaoru started working on getting rid of the photo.
"Be a good girl now," Kaoru looked up from over the screen.
"I'm not a dog. I can’t be both of your entertainment like this, you should go on and find a toy."
"You want a toy?" A dark figure appeared from behind a door, candlestick in hand. "Toys, toys. If you like toys then you should come and visit my Black Magic Club," The boy offered. This piqued Haruhi’s interest as she walked over to the mysterious figure to hear more about his offer.
"We've recently opened a marketplace that hosts black magic items from across the globe. We're also holding mass around the clock. If you visit right now, I'll even throw in a free curse doll. You can have Belzenef as your gift."
"Why is he talking to us through a crack in the door?" Haruhi wondered, looking back at the fellow club members.
"Wait a second, has that door always been there?" The twins pondered.
"Nekozawa-senpai likes to hide. He doesn't care for brightly lit places," Kyoya informed the group.
"Don't get involved with that guy Y/n," Tamaki snuck up on her, scaring her. She jumped and flinched where she was standing. "If you do you'll end up being cursed, don't you do it either Haruhi!"
"How do you know?" Y/n asked, moving closer to the door, her arm was about to reach for the doorknob but Tamaki stepped forward to pull her arm back so that she was standing next to her.
"It happened during final exams, at the end of the last school year," Tamaki let go of her wrist since she was trying to shake her hand out of it. He then went on to explain a story where he stepped on a 'cursed' doll, leading to him taking a test in different lettering and he also didn't know any of the students in that class. "I was in a different dimension."
"Scary!" Honey cowered.
"Did that really happen to you?" Haruhi questioned, unsure, trying to hide behind the shorter boy. Y/n walked over to the nervous Honey, bending down a bit and patting his head in a comforting way.
"Don't you worry Honey-senpai, or you either Haruhi-chan. I think Tamaki-senpai just went to the wrong class," Y/n explained while Honey was hugging her.
"It was a curse! I know because I woke up three days later and my legs were as heavy as lead!" Tamaki fired back.
"Your legs were heavy because you ran a marathon the day before, remember?" Kyoya told him, still working on his normal tasks despite the new presence of the man.
"You shouldn't underestimate the dark powers of Belzenef the cursed doll. All you have to do is write the name of someone you hate on his back and then that someone will come into misfortune," Nekozawa popped up, holding the cat doll.
"Wow this guy is dark in more ways than one," Kaoru spoke, and soon he and Hikaru exchanged a glance.
"I wonder what he will think of this," Hikaru showed the flashlight from behind his back before shining it on Tamaki and Nekozawa. Both of them ran away scared, Nekozawa choosing to retreat to his club room.
"How on earth could you two do such a thing? Obviously, the two of you don't know the true terror of the black mirror!" Tamaki shook, but this wasn’t anything the twins paid much attention to, instead just wandering off with complaints that they were bored.
"My dignity as the club's leader is being ignored," Tamaki sulked in his spot.
"Hey, Y/n! We have a favor to ask you," The twins spoke.
"What’s that?" Y/n responded, going over to her bag to search for a new book.
"Can we go to your house?"
"No."
"That could be fun," Tamaki looked up.
"No, it wouldn't. My house is almost the same as yours, it would be different if we were going to Haruhi's, that could be fun," Y/n shrugged, finding her book and taking a seat. Soon enough the twins were standing around Haruhi, hopeful eyes looking upon her.
"No, you're just going to make fun of it," She shook her head, crossing her arms in distaste.
"I think it's about time we all pay our respects to our beloved Haruhi's family!" Tamaki beamed.
"No way in hell, only Y/n can," Haruhi mumbled the last part, looking over at the girl reading intently.
"We can settle this with a game! If you can't pick out which one of us is Hikaru, then your penalty will be the two of us coming over to your house later tonight!"
"It's kind of simple," Y/n commented. "That's Hikaru and that's Kaoru," She pointed to the boys.
"You're wrong."
"No she's right," Haruhi agreed.
"Sure you guys look alike, but that doesn't mean your personalities are the same," Y/n mentioned.
"How did you tell?" One of the girls asked.
"With that hat, it's so hard," Another wondered, Y/n ignored the words of the girls since the book once again captured her interest which made Haruhi have to answer the question.
"Well, how do I put it? It's kinda difficult to explain. But Hiakru's speech and actions make him come across a little more mischievous than Kaoru," Haruhi explained honestly, not truly thinking about her words before speaking them.
"I'm sorry Hikaru, I don't mean to laugh," Kaoru spoke, trying to hold back a laugh but soon ended up breaking into a loud one.
"I don't see what's so funny. I'm honest, I speak my mind, and I don't hold back. It's sneaky people like Kaoru who are the troublemakers," Hikaru argued.
"Don't turn this on me, Hikaru. After all, I'm the one who's always going along with all of your selfish games.”
"I may suggest them but you're the one that gets into them Kaoru. If you hate it so much then why don't you just stop?"
"Because I'd hate to see you make an ass out of yourself, in front of everyone. It was your idea to call Y/n a pet, but I noticed you were quick to make a pass at her. Admit it, Hikaru, you're actually in love with Y/n, aren't you?" Karou smugly spoke, Hikaru getting all flustered.
"You've got it all wrong, Kaoru! Man, you're such a freaking idiot," Hikaru told him annoyed.
"Yeah! There are some things in this world that must never be said," Tamaki buzzed.
"Why would I fall for her? I mean she can't even show her face, she probably looks like a tanuki," Hikaru claimed.
"How dare you call her a raccoon dog?" Tamaki fumed. "You're going to pay for that!"
"Can you guys be quiet-" Y/n tried to speak before a large rumbling cut her off.
Soon enough Renge made another surprise appearance and started to emerge from the ground. "Our beloved Y/n is in the middle of a beautiful yet poignant seven-sided romantic relationship! And to make it even better, two of her admirers are twins, torn apart by love! Just the thought of it could make me eat three bowls of rice!”
"Wait, what did you-"
"Oh butt out, otaku," The twins spoke causing a total flip in Renge’s confidence as she now stepped down from the platform all sad.
"You guys are meanies! You shouldn't say something like that to your manager!"
"But Renge, I thought you had feelings for Y/n as well.”
"I do and it's platonic, but I have no problem with her having relationships on the side. Also after speaking with Haruhi, I'm developing feelings for him as well," Renge announced back to her confident self.
"I'm confused, I thought you had decided to go back to France, Renge," Haruhi walked over.
"Well, I was going to start up a host club of my own… but, I don't think France is ready for a host club, just yet," She told Haruhi, a light blush on her cheeks.
"I don't think anywhere is ever ready for a host club," Y/n commented, Renge was about to mention something else but was cut off by the twins' voices raging at one another.
"Cut it out already! You're the one always crawling into my bed! Talk about annoying," Kaoru yelled.
"I only do that because you look lonely. I wouldn't choose to sleep in your bed, you idiot!"
"Who are you calling an idiot? You're the one who sucks at math."
"Oh yeah, well you're failing your foreign language class you dummy," Hikaru argued, just continuing to go back and forth like little children.
"That's it we're over!" They fumed, walking in opposite directions of one another, stomping off into the distance.
Later the next day Haruhi and Y/n were sitting beside each other in class chatting before it began.
"What did you think of the fourth chapter?" Y/n asked her friend who was taking out her book.
"I didn't expect Tobio to show up especially him claiming he wanted his daughter back," Haruhi spoke excitedly.
"Hey Y/n, Haruhi!" One twin walked in, flamingo pink hair. "Good morning.”
"Um, Hikaru," Y/n spoke, squinting her eyes in disbelief at what she was seeing. "What did you do to your hair?"
"Why is it dyed pink?" Haruhi wondered.
"Because pink suits me. Don't you think it's cute? From now on I'm the pink-haired twin. I didn't want to be mistaken for that Kaoru for the rest of my life, you know?" Hikaru mentioned, his now blue-haired brother, coming up next to him.
"Good morning Y/n, Haruhi," Kaoru voiced, Hikaru, walked over to an empty seat near Y/n and sat beside her. "I was finally able to sleep all by myself last night, but I ended up having a nightmare. I dreamt my stylist had dyed my hair pink. It was so garish and ridiculous looking, I woke up screaming.”
Hikaru stood up and walked over kicking Kaoru's chair so that he fell. Kaoru then returned the favor, knocking Hikaru down the same way. Once back to their seats, the twins stared at each other and soon enough an all-out war erupted with a multitude of items being flung over Haruhi and Y/n’s heads.
"This is going to be a long day," Y/n grumbled as Haruhi nodded in agreement.
When class was over and it was noontime Haruhi and Y/n decided to chat about the lesson they had just finished learning while walking into the cafeteria.
"I was wondering what all the fuss was about, I can't believe the two of you are still fighting," Tamaki spoke, watching the twins in line arguing about food. "You're a disgrace to the Host Club!"
"Why is the rest of the club here?" Y/n questioned, turning to Haruhi. Haruhi just shrugged and let Y/n wander over to the group. "Hey guys!"
"N/n-chan!" Honey exclaimed.
"Hey, look who it is!" A short-haired girl spoke, joining hands with another.
"I've never seen them all together like that," Another one commented.
"We've had enough of this, you're both to blame for this fight," Honey said, then pulling out a cake. "Hika-chan and Kao-chan I want you to make up and then go halfsies on this cake, 'kay? But I want to have a piece too, and N/n-chan should get some, so I guess we're gonna have to have fourthsies," Honey went on babbling in an attempt to try and figure out how to cut the cake.
Y/n just walked over to the nox distressed and anxious boy, lifting him, and taking him over to Mori.
"You're just making it worse, leave them alone," Mori told Honey, moving him far away from the irritated twins.
"Oh, Y/n! I didn't expect to run into you in the dining hall," Tamaki fangirled, rushing over to the girl who was watching Honey now munching on the cake he was once going to share.
"Haruhi and I decided to follow the twins here, they have been acting odd all day," Y/n looked over to her senpai.
"I brought a boxed lunch and I just wanted to eat it in the classroom," Haruhi mumbled, walking over to where the host club now decided to eat lunch.
"A boxed lunch?" Tamaki repeated.
In Tamaki's head
"Tamaki, darling, I hope you will accept this food I made. I'm not amazing at cooking, but I made it with love!"
"I will eat anything you make Y/n, it's always beautiful and tastes delicious," Tamaki declared
"I will eat it!" Tamaki spoke out loud.
"I have no idea what you're talking about," Kyoya mumbled.
"Ah," Y/n ordered beside Kyoya, pointing out the dish of her choice
"Our chef makes amazing crab, it truly is so delicious the way he seasons it. Maybe once you can come visit and try the dish," Kyoya mentioned, the two walking towards the lunch table that the Host Club members were currently occupying.
"Damn rich people," Haruhi grumbled.
"Haruhi, come sit over here!" Y/n waved her over, but instead of just Haruhi another friend had joined alongside them, Hikaru.
"What's that, what do you have for lunch?" He questioned, watching Haruhi take her seat.
"Yesterday's leftovers, and a rolled omelet,"
"Haruhi you want to switch?" Y/n looked over at the mouthwatering expression on Haruhi’s face as she stared at Y/n’s food. With a happy nod, the two exchanged their meals.
"This is amazing!" Haruhi exclaimed, tasting the food.
"Great! I usually like to eat more in private, so I can just save yours for later!"
"Y/n, I got a meal that you’ll enjoy. Want to try it, all you have to do is take your mask off," Kaoru softly grabbed her chin, tugging it closer towards him with one hand while his other held a fork with a piece of his meal on it.
Hikaru chomped the food off of the fork instead of the intended recipient, "Quit butting in Kaoru." At the possibility of another fight, Y/n moved out of her seat and grabbed Haruhi's hand to take her with her. Just as they were out of the line of fire Kaoru threw his soup at his twin but missed the wanted target and instead, it got splashed all over Tamaki.
"I'm going to go eat alone now," Y/n quietly muttered over the yelling of the twins, choosing to take her leave from the noisy group.
After the whole cafeteria incident, the group (excluding the twins) met up again in the club room, hoping to relax with some tea and discuss the problematic antics of the twins.
"Looking at the numbers, if this situation isn't resolved, I'm afraid we're going to have to stop offering our brotherly love package. We're down one pair of loving brothers," Kyoya announced, typing in some digits into his calculator. "Oh, Haruhi, I just want you to know there's no reason for you to feel responsible, even though it was your tactless comment that started this whole feud between the twins."
"It's weird for Hika-chan and Kao-chan to be fighting like this," Honey spoke, playing with Usa-chan. "It's never happened before."
"They have never fought before?" Haruhi pondered, looking over at Honey.
"I've known Hika-chan and Kao-chan since we were in preschool. We weren't in the same year so I never really got to talk to them, but I remember that the two of them always played together," He told the group.
"Yeah that's true, I mean I've only known the twins since middle school but they have always stood out," Tamaki added, he went on about how the twins had been together for a while, saying it might not be such a bad thing they are fighting.
Yet quickly his former opinion changed when the twins finally arrived and they were still fighting, Tamaki quickly getting annoyed at the twins’ reckless behavior.
"Don't you guys think it's maybe time to give up all this fighting?" Tamaki wondered. "It's driving me insane."
"What'd you say? It is driving you insane? You've got to be kidding me, how do you think I feel? Every time I look in the mirror I see his face. I'm sick and tired of being mistaken for you Kaoru! The truth is I hate your guts!" Hikaru snapped.
"You took the words right out of my mouth. In fact, I hate you so much, I bought this. Belzenef curse doll!" He pulled out the cat doll and a marker. "I'm going to complete the curse, Hikaru, I'm going to write your name on his back. From this day forward you are going to experience nothing, except misfortune and sorrow."
"Okay, this is getting to be enough," Y/n interrupted. "All because of some comment, that didn't even mean to offend you guys."
"Yes!" They both screamed. Mori rushed over to take Y/n’s hand in an attempt to bring her back into safety if they decided to start one of their throwing tantrums again. He did not want to see the girl getting injured once again.
Haruhi finally had it, truly annoyed at the way they were treating her friend and how stupid they were being about an argument that didn’t make much sense. They were acting like toddlers.
"Will you guys knock it off?" She smacked the sides of their heads. "What do you think you're doing? You don't bring something like this into a petty fight,” she motioned to Belzenef, “Both of you are at fault here, but what is truly sad is that you're bringing everyone else into your big mess! Now apologize to each other, if you don't make up right now I'm never going to let you come over to my house!" Haruhi threatened.
"So, then what you're saying Haruhi is that if we make up, we can come to your place?" The twins questioned at the same time.
"Oh, no," Y/n whispered, slapping her forehead, she figured out the mischievous plan they were trying to hatch all along. Haruhi slowly turned the doll around just for it to be blank, her face dropping in fear.
"I'm so sorry Kaoru, even though I was just following our script I said such awful things to you. I'm not fit to be your brother," Hikaru apologized.
"Don't say that Hikaru! I was so worried, I couldn't live with myself if I ever thought I had hurt you," They embraced each other, repeating apologies.
"You've got to be kidding! You mean you guys were faking it this whole time?" Honey shouted, arms flaring above his head.
"We didn't have anything else to do, we were bored!" They told him, laughing with each other. Haruhi was now sulking to the ground where Y/n moved in attempts to try and comfort her.
"Twins with too much time on their hands, are the devil," Tamaki concluded.
Later on the next day, the club was back to running like normal, with no obnoxious feuds between the twins but instead back to their game.
"Okay, it's time to play the ‘Which one is Hikaru’ game!" The boys announced.
"I know," A girl with short hair raised her hand. "The twin with the pink hair is Hikaru!"
"We have a winner!"
"So, are you two going to keep your wild hair color even though you made up? It's much easier to tell the two of you apart now," A girl with longer hair spoke.
"Not really," Y/n sighed, sitting up in her seat where she was eating cake with Honey. "The blue is Hikaru and the pink is Kaoru, they switched for the day," She then continued back with munching on the sweet treat while the twins stared in astonishment.
"Do you realize what happened Hikaru? Until now, there were only two groups of people, 'us' and 'everyone else'. But for the first time, someone's crossed into our world."

Attack of the Lady Manager! - with the new appearance of a love-struck, obsessed girl she flips the norms around for the host club members who have much trouble adjusting.
pairing - fem!reader
apart of - ouran add-in
"Oh Tamaki, my dearest Tamaki! Why are you so beautiful?" A brunette girl asked, looking at the man in his expensive outfit. He peered upon her, a pipe in his hand and extensions in his hair.
"I'm hoping to catch your eye, even if for just one second."
"Then why is your voice so very sweet and mellow?" A black-haired student now wondered.
"To set your nerves at ease, so that my true feelings might reach your heart."
"Oh Tamaki," The girls sighed, cheeks flushed. They were hunched around the small coffee table, all trying to get a smidge closer to be more in the presence of the glistening Tamaki.
Over at another table filled with a wide variety of sweets and sparkling outfits, the twins were talking to their group of girls. "I think it's adorable you're wearing matching kimonos," One of them expressed, reaching out to touch a bit of the fabric.
"Our mother designed everything the host is wearing today," Hikaru told the girls. "If you see something you like, we can take an order for you."
"Our grandmother even helped us put them on."
"But you know the only one who will be undressing you is me, Kaoru," Hikaru grabbed his chin, blushing evident on Kaoru's face.
"Hikaru, you're embarrassing me, in front of everybody."
"What a tender embrace," The girls giggled.
Nearby another younger girl complimented the secret one, "Haruhi! You look so cute in your kimono, almost like a girl!"
"Thanks," She smiled lightly.
Y/n was present with her growing group of both genders. She sat in a kimono of a light green color with a matching mask and bows in her hair the same color.
"Y/n! You look so pretty, especially with your bows," A boy complimented, a tough look on his face with sweaty palms reaching for one of the treats.
"Awh, thank you, I'm glad you enjoy them. I was worried they wouldn’t fit me,” she looked down at her lap, soon moving her eyes back up towards her guests and fixing the said accessories.
"They look beautiful on you! Y/n your hair looks so amazing with them," Another boy spoke, who was trying to indulge in some of the offered refreshments but his hand was shaking madly. The boy, who previously spoke, started to move his hand out to touch the bows. He leaned across the table as Y/n was looking down at the secret book on her lap, fingers mere inches away but didn't get the opportunity as his hand was smacked with a pen causing him to pull away.
"Do not touch her," He glared at them. "It's not appropriate,” and without sparing another glance he placed his attention onto Y/n, “You have been doing well lately, with a steady flow of customers."
"Thank you Kyoya-senpai," She bowed in her seat. "The compliment is kind, and I must say, I like your kimono," She complimented. In response the boys across from her mumbled about how it wasn't fair she complimented him instead of them. Kyoya just pushed up his glasses and walked away. He had to move his notebook to cover his face due to an unwanted pink arriving on his cheeks. It was a strange reaction as he had been complimented by many guests before, fellow girls, but none elicited a response like Y/n was able to. He just chalked it up to her newer continual presence in the group and that he would eventually get over it.
"Do you have any more picture books coming out?" A girl pondered, walking over to Kyoya who was answering their obsession desired questions.
"N/n-chan, n/n-chan, I don't know how but I lost one of my sandals," A sad Honey wandered over, just the one sandal hanging in his hand. A large pout was plastered on his face, puppy-dog eyes staring upon the younger girl eliciting sympathy.
"It's okay Honey-senpai, we will look for it," Y/n walked closer to the boy, putting a hand on his shoulder in a comforting pat.
"Mitsukuni," Mori voiced, now walking over all stoic, bending down to his knees to take his foot and slide on the missing sandal.
"Takashi," He spoke, tears bubbling in his eyes.
"I noticed that you dropped it.”
Honey embraced him in a large hug when a new swarm of ladies came around, all awing at the scene. Not too interested in watching the scene Y/n moved her eyes over to Haruhi where she bumped into one of the twins, a small bottle of eye drops falling onto the ground.
"You guys use fake tears?" Y/n asked, walking over and inspecting the bottle Haruhi found.
"For your information, it's common for a host to use eye drops," Kaoru spoke, standing on the side of Y/n.
"No woman alive can resist a man on the brink of tears," Hikaru added, moving to her other side.
"I could," Y/n mumbled, passing the eye drops back to Haruhi.
"That's cheating," Haruhi declared, holding the eye drops in the air. Hikaru swiftly moved over to her side, tsking to himself.
"Oh, don't be such a party pooper."
"Here Y/n," Kaoru tapped her shoulder, pulling out a little box with a sweet pastry inside it. It was wrapped in a small green box, matching her outfit, and a silver bow wrapped it up all neatly.
"It's for me? Really?" She looked up excitedly, eyes beaming wide. It was a look that interested Kaoru differently, he watched closely, a genuine smile morphing on his face as she took the top off to smell it.
"Aren't you so cute," he chuckled, the twins admiring her reactions as Hikaru was leaning over Kaoru’s shoulder.
"I didn't know you liked sweets, Y/n," A girl commented, watching her admire the treat. Y/n bashfully stepped away from the crowd, putting the top back on the sweet treat and holding it off to her side.
"I do, but I'm going to give it to Haruhi so she could give it as a memorial to her mother. I do wish to visit her one day," Y/n looked at her friend, whose eyes lit up and they hugged each other.
The girls melted, watching them exchange a moment.
"How kind of you, looking after your friend," Tamaki mentioned, getting close to Y/n and leaning dramatically on her shoulder. "Being so kind, please take some for yourself, and Haruhi! You take some for your mother too," He started to pile up their hands with different colored boxes of an assortment of treats.
"I can afford these myself," Y/n grumbled while Haruhi gave Tamaki an odd look. She put the boxes down and stepped closer to Tamaki, looking at him as if she were trying to find some hidden secret about him.
"Those are fake tears, right?" Haruhi questioned.
"I'm offended,” Tamaki gasped, hand to his heart, “Being able to cry without eye drops is the mark of a true host," He let a single tear fall from his face like a professional actor would and turned to Y/n. "I'm amazing right, have you fallen for me?"
"No," Y/n deadpanned, turning away.
"Haruhi?"
"Nope," She agreed.
"Why isn't it working," He wondered out loud.
"Who's that?" Y/n pointed over to where a young girl was hunched and peeking out, catching the attention of Haruhi and Tamaki who were also looking at the same scene.
"Looks like the host club has a brand new guest!" The twins observed.
"Come on in, what are you waiting for?" Kaoru asked, rose in hand.
"Watching from afar is no fun," Hikaru spoke, an identical flower in his hand as well.
"Stop that," Tamaki popped up in front of them, somehow magically having a rose too. "How many times do I have to tell you boys to be more courteous to our first-time guests? Please, you don't have to be afraid my princess. I welcome you to the Ouran Host Club.” He stuck out his hand, hoping for the girl to grab it.
"No! Don't touch me! You're phony!" She yelled, slapping Tamaki's face, hard. A similar reaction appeared on the features of the other club members, shock and confusion at the very abrupt words and actions of the mysterious young lady.
"What do you mean I'm phony?" Tamaki questioned astounded, tears welling in his eyes.
"Just what I said, you're phony! I find it hard to believe that someone like you is the prince character of this host club!" The auburn-haired girl pointed her finger at the president. "You shouldn't go spreading your love around so easily like that, you're stupid! You must be a dim-witted narcissist! You're incompetent, you're a commoner! You're disgusting!" She exclaimed, shaking her hands, raising her voice, and stomping her foot.
Tamaki took each insult to heart, every word she threw out he stepped back, acting as though it were a punch to the gut, and landed till his back hit the pillar in the room, sliding down to sit on his bottom in defeat.
Kyoya stepped forward, a finger on his chin. "I don't suppose you are," He tapped his chin before opening up his notebook and flipping through scribbled cursive pages.
"It's you, Kyoya!" The girl spoke, tears in her own eyes now. Her whole personality did a 180, stepping on the feet of the diminished Tamaki and reaching out towards Kyoya, arms wide. "Oh how I've longed to meet you, my one and only prince charming," She hugged him, yet Kyoya’s arms just stayed stiff on his side. He made no effort to reciprocate the action.
"Your fiancée," Hikaru started.
"Kyoya-senpai?" Kaoru finished, eyes wide and staring at the man in shock.
"Of course,” She smiled confidently, pushing a bit of hair back, “ My name is Hoshakuji Renge and I'm transferring into Ouran Academy's First Year Class A tomorrow," She introduced, now sitting on a red couch with a hot cup of tea in front of her.
"Why is he sulking?" Hikaru wondered, referring to a sad Tamaki in the corner.
"Because Mommy was keeping a secret from Daddy," Kaoru told his brother.
"Why does everyone insist on referring to us as husband and wife," Kyoya grumbled.
Renge started on with a story, explaining she met the money-obsessed man while he was in a backyard looking at flowers and then ended up helping a kitten.
"She serious?" The twins sarcastically asked.
"A kitten," Y/n tried to stifle her chuckle. "Kyoya and an injured kitten," She now let her laugh exit her mouth. However, the action quickly ended when Kyoya sent a glare and she straightened up in her seat with her mouth shut.
"Could you have the wrong person?" Haruhi questioned Renge.
"No way! I could recognize my love anywhere!" She continued with her ramblings, telling the group how Kyoya was a very humble man who was always looking out for people in need.
It was madness inside Music Room 3 with the very conflicting image Renge was trying to tell about Kyoya and how he truly was. The twins ran around with their hands in their hair, clearly shocked about such chaos. Haruhi, Mori, and Honey all had more composed expressions as they just let her babble on, hoping to figure out a better explanation soon. Y/n couldn’t help but giggle because she enjoyed seeing and hearing a different side of Kyoya, even if it was not true. She couldn’t help but hold a slight interest in the man as their situations with their family were similar in multiple ways. Tamaki on the other hand, was also displaying characteristics that were out of his norm as he was making no noise, no movement, and just stayed sulking in a corner.
"He looks exactly like the star of the popular dating sim, 'Uki-doki Memorial'! You're my real-life Ichijo Miyabi!" Renge asserted, pointing at Kyoya. Her eyes were wide and she danced around in a circle while she mentioned his whole look alike.
"Uki?" Haruhi began.
"Doki?" Honey added on.
"OTAKU!" Tamaki yelled.
"OTAKU?" Hikaru questioned, stopping his running and moving towards Tamaki in a frightened stance.
"I've never seen one!" Kaoru spoke scared.
"Oh," Y/n stopped laughing, walking towards the girl. "You think Kyoya is him, so this Ichijo, he has glasses, correct? And you're in love with him?,” Y/n sighed, shaking her head and facing the whole group, “She most likely just made herself believe that you are engaged," Y/n realized, Kyoya nodding in apparent agreement. Y/n took a seat next to him while the group crowded around the duo in relief.
"So she made it up? You're not her fiancée, right?" Tamaki queried.
"Well, no, I don't ever remember asking for her hand in marriage. Besides this is the first time I've met this woman.”
"According to my research, I understand you're in charge of managing the club, is that true, Kyoya?" Renge moved to his open side, leaning in uncomfortably close. Y/n stayed in her seat behind him, now with a small bowl of popcorn in hand as she watched it go down. After a bit of a rude glare from Renge sent her way, Y/n got up and stood by the twins who immediately reached their hands into the salty treat, eyes intently staring at the two now on the couch.
Kyoya's eyes followed Y/n as she moved away from her spot, a little annoyed that she didn't stay by his side. For some odd and unknown reason, it was comforting, his nerves and anger bubbling up at this random woman's absurd words lessened having Y/n just in his presence.
"That's right, Kyo-chan is our director!" Honey told her proudly.
"You're the club's director! That's perfect. Oh wow, I've always wanted to wear a sandwich board to advertise business.”
"We don't advertise, we're just a host club," The twins stated.
"I've made up my mind! From now on, I'm going to be the manager of this host club!" She announced, ignoring the twin's words.
"Um, listen Kyoya," Tamaki leaned over the back of the couch that Kyoya was sitting on.
"Miss Hoshakuji is the only daughter of a very important Ootori family client. So, please be polite and try not to offend her, alright?" Kyoya warned Tamaki, his voice rough, trying to hide his annoyance with the new presence of the girl. Tamaki stepped away, putting his head down like a dog that was just scolded.
"Well boys, I can't wait to work with you," Renge smiled.
Later the next day, the club gathered back in their classic room. Yet, Tamaki now had a different outlook on Renge’s presence.
"I thought about it a lot last night and maybe having a lady manager isn't such a bad idea," Tamaki spoke.
"Why do you say that?" The twins wondered.
"With Renge, she can help Y/n. Renge is very outspoken and Y/n can be, but she doesn’t show her true self enough. Not to forget that she can help make Y/n want to show her femininity, maybe even her face. Or maybe Y/n will now want to be closer to us like Renge is with Kyoya!"
"Pardon me?" Y/n looked up from her book, not paying attention till her name was used.
"It can also help Haruhi, maybe she will want to show some more femininity too!"
"Good grief," Haruhi sighed.
"Now is our chance to help Y/n and Haruhi! This is very important men!" Tamaki stood up, though the two they were mentioning weren’t too involved in the conversation. Y/n was still reading her book and Haruhi was trying to peak over to get a glance at it.
"Hey everyone! You'll be happy to know that your new manager, Renege, has baked all of you some cookies!" She popped her head from the door, chocolate chip cookies in a napkin for the group.
"She's so ladylike! I'm moved by your generosity!" Tamaki preached, winking his eyes at the twins.
"I didn't bake these cookies for you, you phony prince," Renege had stuck her hand out in his face, stepping away to move towards the others in the group. "I'm sorry, I burnt them a little bit, I did the best I could. I already know what you're going to say!"
"She wasn't kidding, these cookies really are burnt," Honey spoke, some of the cookies in his mouth with crumbs falling all over.
"Don't eat that Mitsukuni, it's bad for you," Mori rushed over to his side, a different napkin in hand for Honey to spit them out. This was something that Renge had overheard and went on to chase the two around the room, yelling about their ungratefulness.
"She's scaring me!" Honey yelled in Mori's arms, shielding his face.
"They don't look horrible," Y/n added, taking some for herself. "What do you think, Haruhi?"
"They have a good flavor to them."
"May I try?" Hikaru questioned, taking a bite of the cookie that was in Y/n's hand. She just looked down at him in confusion as Tamaki turned around to watch this action.
"Oh look, there is a crumb," Kaoru noticed, licking the girl's finger. Y/n stood still, staring at the wall when she felt a little warmth go to her face. She just looked at her finger and wiped it on the skirt of her dress, refusing to give them their wanted reaction.
"Don't do that-"
"Did you see what he just did? HE JUST TOOK A BITE FROM HER HAND!" Tamaki started yelling incredulously, pointing to the two brothers. He was jumping up and down from his anger, hands pulling at the roots of his hair.
"Ah, Haruhi, you have some crumbs on your face," Y/n mentioned, licking a finger and wiping the crumb from her face. Haruhi stood, a pink blush forming its way on her cheeks as she lifted a finger to feel where the crumb was.
"And the four classmates get closer than they have ever been," Kyoya added.
"Y/n! Just tell them off, causally brush them to the side," Tamaki spoke, moving his hands towards her cheeks, covered with the mask. He peered into her eyes, jealously clearly swarming in his lobes as he waited for her response.
"This is inappropriate," Y/n commented, looking down from his glare and feeling the heat once again. She moved his hands from her face, turning around to take a breath from all the close touching that had happened within the evening. It was something she was not used to, this type of physical affection, and easily had a response to her. She didn’t like that it could quickly make her feel something different as she was used to just showing a more neutral or emotionless self.
"Inappropriate? They are twice as guilty! Someone call the police!" Tamaki started freaking out.
"Renge-chan, Renge-chan, want some? It's milk," Honey questioned, hoping to make amends with the once-raging girl. He held a cute pink glass that was filled with the liquid, reaching high to let her grab the cup. Although her response was not as welcomed, she took a sip and quickly spit the liquid out onto Honey. Mori and Y/n moved over with towels, trying to help the boy dry off a bit.
"Lukewarm, Like every single one of you!" She interrupted the twins and Tamaki's fighting with her loud statement. Even Mori and Y/n stopped in their tracks to put their attention on the very angry Renge. "Except for Kyoya, all of your characters are lukewarm! Each of you needs to have some sort of dark side, you understand? Girls are vulnerable to handsome, young men who are troubled. Boys are puppies to sappy, pretty young women. If you keep carrying on like this, it's only a matter of time before the girls and guys get tired of you and stop coming all together. Are you trying to ruin my precious Kyoya's business? As your manager, it's my job to change your character backgrounds," She finished in a huff.
"Let's start with you," She pointed with a sharp nail to Honey who was startled and a bit frightened. "If all you are is cute inside and out then you're no different than a baby. Therefore, from now on you're the baby-face thug!" She demanded. This was something that Honey wasn’t looking forward to as he let out a horrified scream in response, hands on his cheeks.
"Mori-senpai, you're his childhood friend, the flunkie! The twins are basketball players, enslaved in their own world! Haruhi, you're an honor student who is constantly being bullied. Y/n, you are the lovestruck girl, obsessed with romantic stories, never achieving it. Lastly, Tamaki, you're the school idol who is admired for his good looks but you really have an inferiority complex that you're hiding from the world. The lonely prince!" She renamed them, going around the group to assign them their new characters.
"I do enjoy a good romance book, but currently I am more interested in mystery novels," Y/n corrected, moving over to her bag to look at the multitudes of books she was carrying with her.
"And Kyoya, you're perfect just the way you are now. So I want you to stay as kind and affectionate as ever, ‘kay?"
"Thank you, I'm honored," Kyoya smiled lightly, but his attention shifted over to where Y/n sat sifting through a pile of books present on her lap. "I wonder what she thinks," He wondered aloud quietly, looking at the dedication shining through her glare as she picked up a new book to begin.
"The lonely prince, it's true, the title is perfect for me," The blonde man thought, a light shining directly onto him as the rest went out.
"Come on Kyoya-senpai," Kaoru began.
"You gotta do something," Hikaru finished.
"Why? It seems like the boss is up for it," He pointed over to Tamaki concentrating on trying to master his part. "Let's just wait and see how things turn out. I bet it'll be interesting. It always is."
Magically enough, the twins were on a basketball court with a crew behind them. The stands were filled with onlookers cheering over the buzzers as it was announced a basket had just been made. Yet, the yelling of the crowds soon calmed down as someone on the court was injured.
"Get a stretcher, take him to the infirmary immediately!" A voice yelled at someone.
"Kaoru?" Hikaru ran back, looking at his brother who was clutching his knee. "Kaoru!"
"You've got to get back in the game Hikaru, we need you!" A teammate told the star player, trying to pull him away from his brother.
"Shut up!"
"Hikaru, listen to me, please don't worry. There's nothing you can do. You can't share my pain. You're not the one who got hurt, now go on," Kaoru moved his hand to his brother's cheek, tears welling up in his eyes.
"I can't, it hurts. It hurts Kaoru," He clutched the hand on his cheek.
But soon enough that scene disappeared and it cut to a rainy scenery outside, where the twins lay on the ground with a soaked Tamaki.
"I'm sorry, but I'm envious. The way you two support each other like that," Tamaki shook his head, looking down at the mushy grass, hair damp from the raging rain.
"But Suoh-senpai, how can you be envious of us?" the twins wondered. "You're the school's idol."
"An idol, right," Tamaki sighed, laughing to himself. "I hate that people worship me for something so superficial as my appearance. I think it would be much better for me to be alone."
The image panned to Y/n sitting underneath a tree with a jacket over her head while reading a popular romantic novel.
"Oh, how she will never find love. I'll never find love," Y/n fake cried. "My appearance is nothing like these fellow girls, I'm yet a hopeless romantic, looking for someone to save me. Someone to dig me out of this hole and…and… date me!"
The image switched to a fast-paced and intense scene with Haruhi now running away from a mysterious villain.
"You can't run away forever, I'm going to show you what happens to anyone that crosses me," Honey threatened, walking towards a Haruhi who was sitting against a tree.
"Don't do it Mitsukuni, you should have realized by now that whenever you hurt others, you're really just hurting yourself," Mori said, standing next to the other fellow third year.
"I didn't ask you for any advice, you want me to put you over my knee, again?" Honey looked up at Mori, threatening glare on his soft features. "You know, it pisses me off when people don't know their place.” He couldn’t hold his act for a long time because soon enough he jumped into Haruhi’s arms yelling multiple apologies.
"Cut! Cut!" Renge yelled, snakes almost coming out of her hair. "What's wrong with you? You gotta stick to the script! Stop rolling cameraman!" Renge ordered, the man mentioned putting a thumbs up.
"How'd we go from changing our characters to shooting a movie about them?" Hikaru asked, sitting in a chair next to Kaoru. Y/n was standing beside Kyoya behind the boys.
"And why is there an entire film crew here to shoot it?" Haruhi pondered.
"Apparently, she flew them in from Hollywood," Kyoya told them.
"Yeah, she made me help convince them. She has the money, and I have the new equipment," Y/n sulked, thinking back to how Renge threatened to poison her tea if she had not agreed.
"Y/n! How was I? Did you like it?" Tamaki ran over, to ask the girl, towel draped around his neck.
"It wasn't bad."
"I think I'm starting to discover a new side of myself and I'm thinking of exploring it," He admitted proudly.
"Tamaki-senpai, do you really think you should? I don't think you need to, you being yourself is good enough," Y/n walked away, leaving a blushing Tamaki. "Hey Haruhi-chan, you did good out there," Y/n complimented.
"Thanks, you were able to play your part well too."
"Hey, Haruhi! You're on!" Renege called out. "Oh, Y/n, come over here too!" The girls walked over, looking for her until she motioned for them to come around the building, to the back. "These guys are going to make an appearance in the film!"
"In your film? What are you talking about?" One of the brooding men asked.
"Y/n, you get in there too, after all, we are going to need some big tough guys for the climax! And having your lovestruck heroine, this will be amazing!" Renge smiled, she then went on about her plan and tightly gripped one of the larger man's arms, trying to drag him in a certain direction.
"Renge, maybe you should-" Y/n began.
"Hey! You think you can push me around?" The boy went to put his arms on Renge before Y/n jumped in front, able to lightly push her away. The man instead pushed her harshly and she fell back into the equipment.
"Y/n!" Haruhi yelled, rushing over to the girl.
"Renge you can't do that, you can't do that to people and stereotype them," Y/n stood up, looking down at her leg.
"Y/n? Are you alright?"
"Haruhi, what's wrong? Y/n?" Tamaki moved forward.
"Y/n got hurt," Haruhi admitted to her older classmate whose expression changed, and he angrily marched up to one of the men. "It's not his fault," Haruhi voiced yet Tamaki and the men both stared at each other angrily, one clutching his fists. Tamaki stepped closer, grabbing onto his shirt with a fire burning in his glare.
"Tamaki, I'm fine. It wasn't his fault," Y/n told him, looking up from where she sat on the ground, clutching onto her leg. In response to her words, he slowly let the man go, facing his attention back to Y/n.
"Are you okay?" He looked to Y/n, putting a hand out to help her stand up. Once she was standing he let her put an arm over his shoulder to help her regain her balance.
"Just scraped my knee," She shrugged.
"N/n-chan, N/n-chan," Honey ran over, looking at the bloodied mark. "We will take you to the nurse," Honey nodded to Mori, Mori took the girl’s arm and let her wrap it around his waist. Though he was the one to initiate the contact, it was also one that brought little butterflies into the stoic man’s stomach.
Tamaki sat down, smiling at the girl walking away who looked back to give him a thumbs up. Haruhi sat down beside him when a tear dropped from her eye. It freaked Tamaki out but luckily Haruhi brushed it off with just being a problem with her contact.
"Please tell me you got all that cameraman?" Renge turned to look toward the man in question.
"Yes, boss."
"That was an ideal final scene!" She exclaimed. "All it needs now is a sweet narration by my Kyoya," But before she could utter any other words a loud crash echoed with glass pieces littering the ground. A rock had smashed through the camera lens. "What, is something wrong?"
"I'm terribly sorry, but I cannot allow there to be any record of a club member engaging in violence, I also can't let such film be released of a member getting hurt," Kyoya explained. "I think you've caused enough trouble around here Renge, please stop being such a pest,” He spat out the last word, a disgusted look on his face, quickly turning around to move off and see about Y/ns whereabouts.
"A pest?" A tear fell from her eyes. "But you're supposed to pat me on the head and tell me not to worry! You're supposed to be kind and affectionate, Kyoya! Why are you acting so differently now?" She sunk into her seat, tears streaming from her eyes.
"That's not the real Kyoya," Tamaki told her, sending a disappointed glance to the girl.
A few days later the club was back in its normal running action. Girls and boys were surrounding the Music Room in an attempt to get closer to its hosts. Delicious treats and piping hot teas littered the coffee tables and sweet chatter echoed throughout.
"I bought the film, that scene in the rain was just phenomenal!" A girl beamed and was overheard by many others who were quick to comment on their ideas about the scene in question.
"Y/n, that scene where you got hurt protecting someone was so heartwarming," Another girl spoke up, now a crowd surrounding the young women.
"Oh, right," She quietly mumbled, looking down onto her lap.
"Are you okay? Let us see your knee," One girl commanded and the boys who were once nea were pushed back by the emerging crowd of a female population. Y/n decided to follow their requests, hoping to quickly shut down the whole thing, and rolled her dress up a tiny bit so they could see the bottom of her knee where a little bit of the bandaged injury peaked through. This was an action that enchanted some of the men, pushing closer in hopes of seeing more.
"That's enough," Kyoya intervened causing the crowd to disperse. He took a step forward himself, "I never did ask if you are okay, I shouldn't have let it get that far," He sat down beside her.
"Don't worry Kyoya-senpai. I was taken care of, it was just a little scrape. Either way, I'm glad you did that movie and got the money for the club," Y/n nudged him in the shoulder, soft eyes looking upon him with admiration.
"I hope you don't mind too much that I did purposefully break one of your family's products," Kyoya admitted, looking up from his notebook.
"That's okay," She laughed and Kyoya could feel his heartbeat just a little faster. With the kindness of her voice and their shoulder practically touching it just caused a new feeling to erupt inside him. "My father won't know. However, he did find out about the scrape from a maid and that was a long, boring conversation."
"Good evening everyone!” Renge waltzed into the room confidently. “Thank you Y/n, I realized how brave it was for you to rescue me, it was your way of showing your love. Now, come on Y/n, let's go to my house."
"Wait, what? Kyoya-senpai? Tamaki-senpai? Haruhi? Anyone?" Y/n asked frantically while getting dragged out of the room.
"Wait don't take Y/n!" Tamaki yelled.

Beware of the Physical Exam! - it’s y/n’s first official event as a host! though soon after the members realize it is also almost time for their physical exams that threaten y/n’s security and haruhi’s identity. in an attempt to save the girls, tamaki comes up with a plan!
pairing - fem!reader x host club members
apart of - ouran add-in
The host club members were currently enjoying a refreshing evening outside. Some were dressed as butlers and the others were dressed in a more kimono-type outfit. All of them were prepared to entertain their guests in their unique way.
"So, in which cup would my princess like her tea? The Foley? Worcester? Or perhaps the Susie Cooper Gardenia?" Tamaki questioned, showcasing the assortment of tea cups on the table.
"Beautiful, they are English antiques, aren't they? Which one do you like, Tamaki?" A girl asked and soon enough he held onto her wrist lightly, leaning in.
"Which one?” he stared into her eyes, charm reaching the girl as her free hand fidgeted with the hem of her dress. “None of these compare to my princess," He concluded, leaving the girl a blushing mess.
"Oh wow, I don't know what to say," the young woman muttered.
Meanwhile, the twins were up to their musings, side by side, trying to enchant those guests who resided beside them.
"I think you would like Covent Garden," Hikaru expressed, "Most of our Victorian pieces are from there.”
Moments after, while holding the teapot Kaoru bumped it against his glass, the steaming liquid spilling down and burning his finger. His brother gracefully took the burnt finger, a red mark already shining on his pale skin, and placed a soft kiss upon the burn, which earned a couple of coos from the ladies who resided across.
"Honestly Kaoru, you have to be more careful," His brother softly scolded him. "From now on, keep your eyes on me, okay?"
"Yes, Hikaru."
"I can't take this, it's overwhelming," A girl with purple bows in her hair sighed, shielding her face and getting a quick nudge from her friend.
"You have to watch this, you may not get another chance! Who knows when it will happen again!" Her friend exclaimed, lightly shaking the shoulder of her friend in an attempt to get her eyes open.
"You're right, mademoiselle," Kyoya agreed, making a swift entrance. "All beauty is fleeting, just take a look at these cherry blossoms. You'll never be able to see them this vibrant again. That's why I've compiled this picture book of them."
Y/n looked up from across her partner at the mention of a book. Though, to her disappointment, it was just Kyoya trying to make a profit, not interest avid readers. So, Y/n moved her attention back to talking with her guests.
"How was the math exam? I'm sure you did splendidly. You always do," She hummed, going to pick up the teacup. Since the woman was very strong about keeping the bottom half of her face covered she quickly lifted the bottom of her mask to allow her to take a small sip. After years of practice with little moments of moving the mask, she was still able to keep much covered.
"I-I think I did okay," A girl stuttered, trying to cover her blush with her hands.
"I did good. Really good. Are you proud of me Y/n?"
"Of course, I knew you would do amazing," She told the boy, nodding. She knew this factually because he was a high-placing student within the school. Though Kyoya was a bit conniving his notebook played useful. It held much information about the guests, which allowed Y/n to become a splendid actress. She placed her soft hand across the table more, just a few inches away from the boy, before moving it back and picking up the tea.
"Do you need some more sugar for that?" The girl questioned, eyes scanning around the table.
"I'm perfectly fine," Y/n thanked her, pushing some of her hair back. The girl fell back more into her chair causing a worried Kyoya to disperse from the other girls with some more money in his pocket.
Meanwhile, Haruhi closely watched Honey do too much to the tea. His hand was moving at a speedy pace to try and mix the tea more thoroughly.
"You overdid it," Mori told the blonde boy beside him eliciting shock from the woman that surrounded him. Honey just stared sadly at the cup, embarrassment spreading on his face. The girls who resided around the table picked up on his changing mood, stuttering over one another to comment reassurance.
"Honey, I'll take it! It looks so yummy," The girl next to him reassured him. Mori grabbed some treats nearby and moved them closer to Honey. The girls continued to compliment him, while his mood quickly morphed to a happier one.
After they were all done with the guests Haruhi went to go and enjoy the scenery that was all around them. There was something relaxing about nature at times like this, she enjoyed the way the petals fell, it was comforting and helped calm some recent nerves.
"Haruhi, are you doing okay?" Y/n questioned, walking over with her floral mask on. "For myself, I will conclude that it was an interesting first day. I suspected that when I joined the club I would just have tea, not guests all for myself," She laughed lightly.
"Oh, well I have learned with them it is never what you expect. You are good at communicating politely with people, you have a certain aura about you,” Haruhi blushed in the slightest, taking her eyes off of Y/n and back towards the trees, “So I think you did great.”
"Thank you. You did great as well. I have been meaning to mention that the kimono compliments your features," Y/n told her, that same blush darkening that now Y/n could recognize. "The guests are all so kind, but I'm just not… Well, it doesn’t matter," Y/n sighed, moving away from the girl to find a small treat for herself. Haruhi watched her leave, trying to think of what she could say to her. Haruhi recognized that she didn’t know much about her friend, the deeper things, and had hope that through this club Y/n would open up more.
"Y/n!" Tamaki called after her, jogging a bit to catch up alongside her. "What did you think about today, do you feel alright?"
"Do I feel alright?" She repeated, taken aback by the question. "I suppose, why do you ask?" She questioned, skeptical of his reasoning.
"Today was your first day with the club! Though, it is natural for me to impress the ladies I know it’s not the same for everyone. I am also having a good day if you were wondering,” he smiled like an excited child, gesturing to himself as he sparkled in the sunlight. The sun was a rather fitting part of his look, Y/n realized that was what Tamaki was beginning to remind her of, the sun. He was excited which was contagious, it made the more reserved woman less anxious to take a step out into the limelight. “I'm looking rather excellent, don't you agree?" His confidence was a little comical to the girl, though a part of her also admired it.
"Tamaki-senpai," Y/n started, looking up and down at the young male, particularly taking a main focus onto his eyes. To Tamaki, it felt like this moment was going on for minutes and he found himself a little worried to hear her response but the oddest part was that he found himself craving a certain response from her. Tamaki was not one to just fall for every maiden, he took an interest in the ones who were not the easiest to crack, so of course his attention was spiked at this new player. "You don't look bad," She finished, shrugging her shoulders a bit. "Can I read now?"
"Y/nnnnn," He whined, looking at the girl sadly. "I will make you fall for me, it should be simple since I look the way I do, but just you wait!" He exclaimed, running off. Though Y/n didn’t take his claim as a serious promise, just another little comment thanks to his childish personality.
"Hey Y/n, what electives are you going to have next term?" Hikaru asked, walking over with his brother. They soon had the girl in between them both, not believing in personal space.
"What about conversational French?" Kaoru suggested.
"Well, I was thinking of seeing what Haruhi was doing," Y/n said, gesturing with her eyes for the mentioned girl to come over.
"We should take it together," Hikaru spoke. Kaoru took a paper from his bag and began to read the top of the list.
"Oh well,” Y/n interrupted Kaoru, “ I'm fine with doing it with Haruhi but I don't know about everyone else," Y/n trailed off eyes returning to Haruhi for some help. On the opposite side of the garden, Tamaki was staring intently at the first years, closely watching their interactions.
"Oh come on," Kaoru started. He turned back, his brother doing the same, and they spoke at the same time saying "We are in the same class.”
"Say, Mommy dear," Tamaki spoke, now positioned where he was looking at a tree with his knees to his chest.
"What is it now, daddy?" Kyoya responded, writing on his checklist.
"What do you think of Y/n?" He looked back over at Y/n conversing with the other members of the group, getting up from his position and walking over to Kyoya.
"She's.... interesting," He told him, looking over for himself. He could tell she was slightly smiling underneath the mask, and a part of him wished he could see it.
"I want to see her smile, her real look," Tamaki admitted, almost reading Kyoya's thoughts.
"That would be nice, but I'm afraid we won't be able to do that. I don't want to be sued by her family, that wouldn't be pleasant," He chuckled lightly, getting back to his list.
"Y/n!" Tamaki yelled ignoring Kyoya’s warnings and rushed over to the group. "Let me see!"
"Excuse me?" She stepped backward, looking at her senpai weirdly as if he were a stranger. "See what exactly?"
"Underneath the mask," He added as if it were obvious.
"We want to see," The twins spoke up, walking over. Now the three crowded her, two on her side and one right in front. It looked as if a scene out of a princess movie where the three villains tried to attack the innocent princess.
"Um, guys," Haruhi mumbled, feeling very worried for her female friend.
"No, you can't see, don't be ridiculous."
"Let daddy see," Tamaki told her, reaching a hand out to grab the mask but instead of getting a snatch of the fabric as Y/n stepped back she tripped on a rock, causing her to fall backward. Luckily, she was caught by a male with black hair, catching her in his arms. Y/n carefully looked back up at him confused.
"Don't pressure her," Mori spoke deeply, not moving his eyes from hers. She looked up at him, studying his face.
"Thank you Mori-senpai," She moved away from his grip calculating eyes watching the quiet man. As if they truly were in a princess movie Mori would be the prince which wasn’t a wanted casting among the three villains.
"Not fair, I wanted to hold her," Tamaki muttered, moving back over to the tree where he was once spying on Y/n. His sulking caused bunches of mushrooms to burst up as an overwhelming energy radiated from his body.
"There are bigger problems than you holding me," Y/n mentioned, walking over to Haruhi. Who she lightly patted on the shoulder "It's almost time for the physical exams.”
"That's right, I forgot all about it," Kyoya commented, the Host Club now all forming around the ‘secret’ girl.
"Then that means, there's no doubt, they're gonna know I'm a girl," Haruhi realized, sticking a finger in the air. Most of the host club were worried for their fellow member. "You know they might even make Y/n take her mask down too and do it in front of everyone," The club turned their heads, all of them, to stare at the said girl.
“Possibly,” Y/n shrugged, no body language expressing any nerves at the factor. Instead Y/n just guided her friend off of the grass and back into the school to finally search for a new book. That was the biggest concern for her at the moment.
The rest of the club went their separate way back to the Music room. It was not until Tamaki took a seat that he truly thought about the chances of what could happen during the physical exams, Despite a part of him feeling guilty he just couldn't help but think about what it would be like if she did take off her mask and secretly hope it would happen.
In Tamaki's Head
"Senpai, I'm scared. I didn't want people to see me like this, why can't I be hidden? They keep staring," Y/n told Tamaki.
"My dear, you have nothing to fear," He snaked one hand around her waist, using his other to brush some hair from her face. "They are staring because you're gorgeous! Don't worry princess I'll protect you, I’ll be your prince," He reassured her, leaning down to kiss the beautiful li-
"He must be having a great daydream," Honey spoke up, looking at Tamaki who was lost in his imagination.
"He's kind of creeping me out," Hikaru admitted, looking disgustingly at the older boy.
"Envious, Hikaru? This is all part of my strategy! While you've wasted time blinded by your jealousy, I've foreseen the outcome of this charade. This story is a romantic school comedy! Y/n and I are the main characters, so that means we are love interests!" He exclaimed, back facing the group and fingers to his chin.
"Yeah, then what are we?" The twins asked, staring at their 'boss' with an annoyed look.
"You boys," He spun around, pointing a finger at them. "Are the homosexual supporting cast!"
"What about Haruhi and Y/n, you don't get it," The twins put their heads in their palms.
"If word gets out that Haru-chan is a girl, then she will get in trouble with the rest of the school! If N/n-chan has to take her mask off around people, then she will move schools," Honey mentioned.
"Haruhi and Y/n would be much more popular with the men as well," Hikaru added.
"Sorry, for coming a bit late, Y/n couldn't find the book she wanted," Haruhi lightly chuckled, opening the club door.
"Don't you worry Haruhi and Y/n! We're determined to keep your secret. No one will see your face and no one will find out you're a girl during tomorrow's physical exams. You can stay our secret princesses!" Tamaki exclaimed, grabbing Haruhi's shoulders and shaking her.
"I'm not scared," Y/n murmured.
"You aren't?" Honey looked over to her.
"My family is well known, I can easily get a private room. Not all of the exam has to be seen by other people," Y/n shrugged. "We shouldn't worry too much about Haruhi though I’m sure"
"Good! You're going to be alright, Y/n. Now listen up squad members, at tomorrow's physical exams position yourselves in position A and then wait for your orders," A whiteboard was soon wheeled into view with drawings on it explaining the plan to conceal Haruhi's gender.
"Am I a part of this?" Y/n asked, walking over and looking at the whiteboard. It seemed all too extravagant, or more wishful thinking, that it would provide the wanted results.
"You just go in your private room and look pretty there," Tamaki told her, placing a hand on her shoulder.
"Alright," She nodded her head. Tamaki dispersed back towards the whiteboard, commanding the fellow men as Y/n moved over by Kyoya in the background who was up to his routine notetaking. "Kyoya if you can get me a private room can't you ge-"
"Don't ruin this, just watch," He muttered, not looking up from his notetaking.
While Y/n was talking with Kyoya -trying to get him to spill more of his secret plan- Haruhi was talking with the boys who were upset at her lack of motivation to conceal her identity.
"I mean you guys aren't bad, but if it gets out I'm a girl there's nothing I can do, you know?" She spoke carelessly.
"She doesn't seem to care one way or another," The twins observed.
"Well before we do anything else, we have to find a way to motivate her," Kaoru added, the twins trying to think of something. Y/n overheard them and made her way into the conversation. She was already a part of the club and didn't want to have her only friend leave. She was also in too deep as word got to her father and he wouldn't let her quit just because her friend did.
"Haruhi, haven't you mentioned you wanted to try fancy tuna?" Y/n asked, walking up to the girl.
"Oh that's right, you didn't get to eat any the other time," Tamaki added, now feeling a bit more motivated.
"Did you hear that, she's never gotten to eat fancy tuna before. Isn't that awful?" Hikaru, not so quietly whispered.
"Wow! Talk about a difficult childhood," Kaoru responded, both twins staring right at Haruhi.
Honey looked at his bunny, "If only Haru-chan could stay in the host club, she'd have the chance to eat all kinds of yummy things whenever she wants."
"Don't be silly! Just because I'm poor and never had it, doesn't mean I'm so much of a glutton that I'd go on fooling everyone about my gender just to try some fancy tuna," Haruhi laughed nervously.
"We wouldn't get as much time together, Haruhi and I'd have to be in the club all alone," Y/n faked a sigh, looking at the ceiling. "We wouldn't get the opportunity to spend time with each other outside of class and never indulge in fancy tuna together,"
"Will I get to eat it with you?" Haruhi asked, the whole group lightening up.
"We will begin conducting physical examinations shortly. All students please proceed to the clinic in your respective school building," The voice on the intercom announced.
"So what's the deal with this, formation A thing, you guys were talking about?" Haruhi questioned, walking alongside the twins and Y/n. No one said a word and so in an attempt to get someone talking she asked another question, "What do they do during physical exams here at Ouran anyway?"
"It's no different than a physical exam you'd get at any other school," Hikaru told her.
"Yeah, why would a physical exam be any different for us just because we're rich?" Kaoru asked. Y/n just silently watched the conversation go down, thanks to her father she was more knowledgeable about the outside world and understood the differences in their world and the people of different social classes.
It was a quick trip, soon enough they were outside the doors getting ready for the exams to commence.
"You're right I didn't think of it that way," Haruhi lightly chuckled. She opened the door. The whole scenery seemed so much more extravagant, a wide variety of doctors and nurses lined up, probably some at the top of their profession, with shining equipment and complimenting features.
"I'm going to guess this isn't like commoners physical exams," Y/n added, watching Haruhi's mouth drop.
"Excuse me Hitachiin brothers, please follow me this way to have your height measured," A nurse bowed, having her hand out.
"Miss Takahashi," A nurse came and quickly curtsied. "I'll be your nurse, follow me. Mr. Ootori had us set up a special area for you," She led the girl over to another stall away from others to allow the privacy of taking down her mask.
"Mr. Fujioka? I'm your nurse for the exams this afternoon, please come this way," The nurse grabbed Haruhi's wrist, dragging her away from the entrance.
Y/n was motioned over to a secluded area to take the exams and speak with the nurse and doctor. It was a tent of a room, and the exams did not take long, just a couple of quick checkups and she was almost finished.
"Please, just take it down quickly, we already did the other requirements for today, we just have to check your nostrils and hearing."
"I suppose," She mumbled, quickly pulling it down. The doctor did his thing, sticking the equipment where it was needed checking her lungs and nose with the shining light.
"All good!" The doctor smiled, putting a thumbs up. "If I may ask, looking at your chart there are not any underlying healthcare problems. Do you wear it as a precaution?" The doctor realized, looking down at the chart about Y/n's health.
"It's for personal reasons, doctor. It is a precaution that my father wishes I take for the sake of my mother." Y/n nodded, sliding it back up and making her way away from the area. She walked back over to where many of the other students were receiving their exams in an attempt to find the rest of the group. If she was going to follow Kyoya’s instruction she wanted to at least be able to watch it play out.
"Why are Honey and Mori dressed as doctors?" A girl asked, multiple others surrounding them.
"Honey-senpai, is this a part of Tamaki-senpai's plan?" Y/n bent down, fixing his fake glasses, which were tilted to the side. Kyoya was too busy speaking with Haruhi, so Y/n focused her attention on the 'doctors'.
"Yes, but don't tell anyone," He nodded, bringing a finger to his lip in a whisper before trying to put on a more mature look to pose as a doctor which resulted in a few of the girls cooing.
"Undercover," Mori muttered.
"Y/n-sama! Have you had your physical exam?" A girl asked and soon enough there were more surrounding her.
"Uhh," She looked around, the girl’s eyes peering closer and staring right at the dark mask set in the middle of her face.
"Ladies, Y/n must come with me, I apologize," Kyoya curtly walked over and took her wrist to lead her away.
"Thank you Kyoya-senpai," She looked up at him.
"Of course, you do owe me now though."
"Ah," She groaned, taking her hand away. While watching the busy halls filled with students and professionals Y/n let out an, "Ow," after getting bumped into by a bit stranger of a doctor.
"I'm sorry," The doctor apologized, barely sparing her a glance. In response to his actions, Kyoya looked down at Y/n, studying her features. It was clear she felt a bit of pain, clutching onto her shoulder while staring off into the distance. Kyoya was confused by the emotions that washed over him, it was too unrecognized that he didn’t even truly think through grabbing her hand once again. He wrapped his hand around hers, covering it but fingers were not intertwined.
"Are you okay?" His facial expressions did not change but there was a softer tone to his voice.
"I'm fine," She slowly took her hand away from his. "Let's just find the twins," Y/n walked away from the boy, leaving him to look at the space where the doctor once was, questioning who he was.
"Doesn't matter to me," Hikaru mentioned from not too far away.
"We're not shy, who needs a curtain?" Kaoru spoke.
"See Y/n, impressive turnout today. Physical Exam day is quite popular with the ladies," Kyoya brushed off his uniform, motioning over to where the twins were mere feet away attracting a large crowd with a keen glare.
"Oh my," She breathed out, shaking her head a little and peering over at Haruhi standing on the side who was mentally slapping herself.
"I won't allow it, it's just not fair. I won't let those doctors touch you Kaoru," Hikaru expressed.
"What are you talking about? You don't seem to have a problem with touching me when we play doctor at home. I can't get you to stop tickling me and toying with my body," Kaoru told him, the girls around them started raising their voices with the classic flushing of their cheeks.
While the twins carried most of the attention the fellow members of the club took the opportunity to use them as a distraction. "Come on Haru-chan, this way!" Honey exclaimed, he and Mori grabbed the girl and ran off away from the crowd before they could notice.
"I don't think Tamaki's plan is going to go the way he wants," Y/n added, looking at Kyoya who had an evil smirk on his face. The duo soon made their way over to where Haruhi’s exam was to be taking place, there they chatted to one another.
Soon enough the show began when the nurse came into view in front of the small curtain. "Mr Fujioka, are you ready to be measured now?" The nurse had asked with a clipboard in hand and the eyes of dozens of girls situated on the curtain.
"Yes, I'm Haruhi Fujioka," A very apparent Tamaki came out, brown hair wig not fully placed on his hair and white shirt open.
"Oh no," Y/n mustered, eyes wide and bemused at what was transpiring, not believing that this was what he was planning all along. The group watched the girls easily tell it was him, yelling out comments of disappointment. "Enough playing Kyoya-senpai, help Haruhi out," Y/n pushed him forward lightly with a hand on his upper back.
"YOU JERKS!" Tamaki ripped the wig off, grabbing Hikaru. "You said there was no way they'd be able to tell!"
"It's payback for calling us the homosexual supporting cast," Hikaru laughed.
"Haruhi, let's go," Y/n told her, grabbing her hand. Kyoya stood still, watching the little bickering take place between Tamaki and the twins and deciding to enjoy the amusement instead of following Y/n’s earlier wishes. "Kyoya-senpai set up another room."
"Turns out the doctors here today are all on staff at one of Kyoya-senpai's family's hospitals," Hikaru added.
"Would have been nice if he said something to us earlier," Kaoru finished, both shrugging their shoulders.
"I had to get my revenge too. I'm sorry I just don't think I'm supporting class, homosexual or otherwise," He smiled. Haruhi rolled her eyes at the man's antics.
"Y/n, will you come with me?" Haruhi shyly asked to which Y/n just nodded and smiled at the boys, following her friend as they walked to the private room.
While the girls went off together, it allowed Y/n to give Haruhi some reassurance and let the girl rant to her about Tamaki's idiotic plan. The boys stayed back behind and couldn’t help but overhear a fellow student talking about a strange doctor who tried to make a pass at her.
"I had a feeling this might happen," Kyoya spoke.
"What do you mean?" Honey asked.
"A bit earlier today, a strange man in a white lab coat bumped into Y/n, he wasn't one of the doctors but I refrained from telling her that."
"Shouldn't you have said something sooner?" The twins wondered.
"It's no big deal, I'm sure the security guards will catch him," Kyoya stated. A security guard then came up to the girl and questioned where he went. In response, she told him that the doctor ran off to the special boy's clinic.
"Y/n and Haruhi!" The boys realized.
"I'll be out here," Y/n told Haruhi as her friend entered the curtained area.
"Thanks, Y/n," Haruhi mentioned, walking into the curtained room. Once gaining a breath, and not having so many nerves she started to undress but slowed when she heard the curtain move. "Y/n?"
"No, it's not what you think! Please keep quiet," The doctor spoke, grabbing her shoulder and covering her mouth. Haruhi went to mumble please from underneath his hand, her own hands gripping to try and take him off of hers.
Soon the curtains were thrown back and a loud "Let go!" resounded around the room. Y/n came barreling in, kicking the man right in his side. He let go of Haruhi, going to grab his hip, and with a swift kick to his back, he fell forward onto the ground. Rushing in behind were the boys eerily calm and standing around the doctor intimidatingly.
"One, good looks that attract the public eye," The twins stepped closer.
"Two, more wealth than you can imagine," Kyoya motioned to his book, pushing up his glasses and glaring down.
"Three, a chivalry that will never be able to overlook," Mori began.
"The hideous wickedness of this world," Honey finished.
"Four, smoothness of the tongue, ready to persuade anyone," Y/n added.
"That's what makes the Ouran Host Club," Tamaki beamed, finishing off the speech and placing himself right in front of the doctor. Y/n turned to focus her attention back on Haruhi, getting Tamaki’s jacket to put over her shoulders.
"We're here, watch out," The boys all said, looking at the doctor angrily.
"Please don't hurt me! Spare my life!" The doctor begged. He was a nervous wreck himself and began to tell his life story about losing his daughter and being a real doctor. After telling his story most of the club was left unimpressed, not ready to disregard all the things and rules he has broken through this whole venture. However, that didn’t stop Tamaki from letting the tears fall down his face and sympathizing with the older man's troubles.
"I don't think this is the right place," Y/n spoke up, taking her hands away from around Haruhi’s shoulders, and walking forward. "From your life story, this doesn't sound like a place your daughter would attend," She explained.
"I'm looking for Ouran Public High School," The doctor confessed.
"This is Ouran Academy, a private institution," Kyoya told him, the twins making comments about the doctor's sad relationship with his daughter.
"Kyoya, would you please find a map of all the public schools in this area? I'd like to help this man find his daughter," Tamaki asked. Kyoya found a map and they bid the doctor a goodbye, wishing him luck with his relationship with his daughter.
"I have to finish my exam," Haruhi told the group leaving afterward.
"You know," Y/n looked around at the group, where they all were looking at her intently.
"Don't tell me you're going to leave," Tamaki groaned.
"No, it's just, maybe this club isn't too bad," Y/n laughed, admiring the way a few of the boy's faces ow had a dash of pink on them.
"You're so cute Y/n!" Tamaki beamed, trampling her in a hug. "I know the true reason you’re doing it is because of your father, but you're just too cute with that comment."
"Hey! Get off!"
"Red Card!" The twins called out. "Tamaki's being a pervert."
"Can you just get off?"

Trust Me! - y/n is introduced to the host club, though her immediate disinterest catches the members' interest to make her a part of their community.

"Fujioka, haven't we spoken about where to do our project already? I'm afraid this isn't the right way to the library," Y/n mentioned, currently having her wrist wrapped with the other girl's fingers.
Just a few months ago the duo were placed together as partners and had grown a close relationship together. Haruhi was the first person to befriend Takahashi Y/n, not even knowing her family's occupation. She saw the girl by herself reading and figured they might have a similar interest to talk about and soon enough became friends. Such a true relationship was refreshing for both of the young ladies, someone who didn’t care about all the superficial things and just about what mattered mostly.
"Takahashi Y/n, trust me, this may not seem like a good place to study but it will soon prove useful," Haruhi tried to reassure her, pulling out the young woman's full name to show she was serious. Haruhi’s eyes were narrowed showcasing that she was on some type of mission to get the fellow young woman more involved.
"If you insist," She sighed, letting the other girl drag her around, even though she was very capable herself.
"Takahashi-sama, may I ask you a question?"
"Takahashi! I saw that your fath-'' Voices began to try and start up conversations with the girl, but none were successful since her dear friend was on a mission to get her to Music Room 3. In a rush, Haruhi fastened her speed to the room yelling a curt goodbye to the student.
"And we are here," Haruhi exhaled deeply, the girls stood in front of the door. One girl's expressions held pride and excitement while the other had confusion and a hint of worry.
"Fujio-" Y/n began, turning around but was interrupted by her dear friend.
"Again," She sighed. "Call me Haruhi, you don't have to be so formal, there aren't people watching you all the time," She smiled lightly at the slightly taller girl.
"Correct, Haruhi-chan, I'm a little confused about why we will be studying in a music room," She tilted her head, to get a better look at the sign and express confusion. "Music room three to be exact," She corrected herself.
"This is where I go after school, this is where the club I am in resonates, and sometimes it serves as a nice laugh!" She exclaimed. "Though some of them can be very annoying, they are also sweet."
"I don't need any more friends," Y/n deadpanned. "I followed my father's wishes and made one, making more would be a nuisance.”
"Nonsense! Takahashi, it's not a bad thing to make new friends, and these will be good ones, trust me," Haruhi tried to reason with her. It was clear since the beginning that Y/n was very closed off when it came to the truth of her home life. But this was a prominent feature that she thought would help connect her with the boys who resided in Music Room 3.
- flashback -
"Hello, I'm Fujioka Haruhi, pleased to meet you," She bowed in front of the girl sitting daintily in her yellow dress engrossed in a story.
"Ah," She sighed, continuing the story. "Takahashi Y/n," She turned around to face her fellow student and put on a light smile upon her lips. Though it was harder to identify the gender of the student she figured she was a girl because of her very soft nature.
"What are you reading?" Haruhi peeked over the book, getting much closer to Y/n’s face than originally intended. When she lifted her head to look into the fellow girl's eyes, their noses almost touched. Y/n didn’t flinch, she just scrunched her eyebrows in the slightest bit and took a small glance down back at her story.
"Norwegian Wood, it is a very interesting romance story,” glancing back up towards the girl she continued, “Fujioka, I'm going to make an inference and please don't be offended. You're a female correct? Yet, you don't care about social standards and little things like clothing. You're also content with people assuming you are a boy. If I may add, you differ a lot from fellow students here which concludes that, most likely, you have a different background than them here," Y/n observed, looking her up and down. "If you would like me to use he and him pronouns I will,"
Haruhi stared at the once quiet girl, she had gotten everything spot on. It was odd how easily she was able to read Haruhi since most of the students couldn't even figure out her gender. But in reality, most students did not give her the time of day to even try and figure out a basic thing as such.
"You can just use female pronouns when it is the two of us," She sat at an empty desk beside Y/n, now staring intently at her. "How did you-"
"You were kind, most richer children only talk to other children once they know their status and how it affects them. Your features also seem feminine, so in all honesty, I just took a guess," She shrugged. "Suppose I was correct,"
"Yeah, scarily correct,” Haruhi's eyes narrowed at her before a smile began to form on her lips, chuckling to herself. “Would you like to be partners for the English class? I have my guess that we will get along well," Haruhi expressed.
"I don't have anyone else myself, and my father commanded me to make a friend, so I think that is an intelligent idea," She put the book away and looked hopefully at Haruhi. For some odd reason, Haruhi felt her stomach flutter a bit, almost as if a tiny butterfly was flying about inside.
"I trust you," Y/n admitted. "But I don't trust that this situation will work in the ways you hope it will, I'm not in the mood to be bombarded by music students. I will not want to join any orchestra, I simply want to finish a new book in French I got," Y/n explained, suddenly yanking a book out of nowhere and showing it to the girl.
"Please, Takahashi-sama, I'll owe you a favor. Just give it a chance?"
"I will do it, but the favor I want you to give to me is about my name. Please refer to me as Y/n, and don't use any title after, unless it is chan," Y/n told the girl, showing a faint smile. Haruhi nodded and opened the doors to the empty classroom with boys waiting.
"Welcome to the Ouran High School Host Club, how can we help darlings like you?" A blonde asked, hand facing up with his palm open. He was not wearing the normal uniform but instead dressed in a captain outfit, as if he were the captain of a boat.
"These are your.... friends? Where are the instruments?" Y/n turned to Haruhi, very confused.
"Ah! Haruhi!" The blonde jumped from his position running over to the girl. "You need to try this sailor girl costume we got," The man jumped up and down, running to the side of the room to grab it. He resembled a very excited puppy who just got a chance to get a treat.
"Haruhi, who is your friend?" A boy with auburn hair pops up, a carbon copy of him standing on his right and staring at Y/n intently. The two looked more mischievous than comforting, silent side eyes shared.
"Haruhi, thank you for your suggestion, but I think I will just read in the library," Y/n nodded to her, swiftly making her way out of the room, her strides quickening to get out of the room. The boys' attentions were now all peeked and focused on her. Tamaki had finally recognized the new guest, dropping the dress from his grip and walking to try and reach her. The door was slammed shut as soon as Y/n made it outside, Tamaki’s face right by the large door moments from being smacked by it.
"Shoot," Haruhi grumbled. "I guess she was right again,"
"Who is she?" The other twin repeated.
"Her name is Takahashi Y/n," She told them, pinching the ends of her hair. "I thought it would be good for her to meet some new people, you guys are kind of like her in ways. It doesn’t matter much now…”
"Takahashi?" The black-haired boy with glasses walked over, his notebook propped open. "She is the daughter of the Mamoru Takahashi. That man is very well established through his electronics company. He's top of the line in the field," Kyoya informed the group, reading a page from the notebook.
"She's that popular? Wait, you don't mean the line of electronics called 'Taka', that's made by them?" Haruhi asked bewildered.
"Her family, they are an interesting sort. I don't have much about them because they are more on the mysterious side. I'm surprised you were able to befriend her," Kyoya mentioned.
"My favorite cake mixer is from them, I always ask the cooks to use it! It whips up the ingredients so good and it tastes extra yummy," The lolita type boy added, running to Haruhi. "I heard they are coming out with a new dessert maker! I can hear my tummy grumble just thinking of it!”
"I like the watches, very high tech," Mori expressed.
"The TV's are great for watching my reality shows!" Tamaki exclaimed.
"I have some of her products," Haruhi mumbled. The group turned to look at her, almost as if they were confused she could afford something. "I'm not poor, I might not have as much as you guys but some of their stuff is affordable," She rolled her eyes.
"Isn't Takahashi the one girl in our class, some people bombard her because they want to see what she would look like without that mask," Hikaru remembered, recalling that she was sitting by Haruhi on multiple occasions.
"I forget she wears that sometimes," Haruhi chuckled to herself. "I’ve grown used to it, I don't ask about it anyway since it could be personal. But it does a fine job in helping conceal her identity."
"We must get her here!" Tamaki declared. "Gather up! I have a plan, men!,” his pointer finger raised in the air, Hikaru and Karou’s own hands in a position of a salute. “Oh! Haruhi too,"
"I don't know about this.”
Y/n was sitting in the library, a mask covering the bottom half of her face as always. It did not take her long to forget about the past events and completely engulf herself in a new story.
"Psst," A person poked her shoulder, interrupting her peaceful reading bliss.
"If you would like a free product I'm not the one to ask, though we appreciate all of our customers who purchase our pro-" She started to ramble, still reading the book but remembering what her father told her to say. It was programmed into the young woman's brain by now as if memorizing lines for a play.
"No! No, that's not why we are here," The voice interrupted her, now fully gaining her attention.
"Not many people come into this library, especially in this section," She hesitantly said, very confused about why this person was here now. They were dressed up in a trench coat, wearing a fake mustache and a barre to top the outfit.
"I'm undercover, I need your help with something," They cupped their hands over their mouth, to give the image that it was a secret.
"Pardon me?" She questioned, completely muddled. "I won't take part in any 'undercover investigation'. If you need me then you will have to speak to my lawyers beforehand, or at least my father," She reached into her pocket, just to grab a bookmark as she now figured her quiet space wasn’t about to stay as quiet but the action startled the man. He rushed to keep her hand in her pocket, figuring that she might be reaching for a phone instead to make the call.
"No! No, wait look," He ripped off the mustache, making a face of hurt afterward. "Suoh Tamaki, president of the Ouran High School Host Club! I'm afraid we didn't have a proper introduction earlier, my beauty," He got up from the chair, grabbed her hand, and placed a kiss on the top of it.
"Um," She pulled her hand away, right afterward, grabbing a handkerchief from her backpack nearby and wiping off any remains. "You're a friend of Haruhi's, that's nice. But I'm not in the mood for more friends, kind offer, but no thank you," She replied, clutching her book and moving away from the once quiet spot in the library.
"You ruined it boss," Kaoru chimed in through a walkie-talkie.
"That's why we have multiple plans. Your turn boys,"
Y/n left the library, walking back to the previous classroom where lessons were held earlier that day. She was merely a foot away from the door before someone lightly bumped into her.
"Sorry, Yah!" A boy with a blonde wig yelped. "We exchange students from Germany," He answered, his twin with the same blonde wig but it was curved to the right instead of left. They had on a dirndl and kept leaning into each other.
"Vill ye help us with class?" The other asked, with a horrible impression of a German accent.
"I can't. I took a class in German culture and language when I was younger. I don't think they wear those kinds of outfits everywhere. You're the twins for that club, right? I am okay and should be leaving now," She trailed off, eyes warily looking back at the two boys bickering over a small object. Y/n made her way to the cafeteria, now having limited options of where she may go.
Finding an empty lunch table in the back, she took a seat, letting out a deep breath, and looked around for any suspecting fellows.
"Hiya!" A blonde boy popped up on her side, considerably shorter and having a younger look to him.
"Oh, hello," She gave a slight wave, eyes darting back down to her book. Y/n silently thought to herself he was just trying to be polite and that would be the end of it, what are the chances of running into someone from the same club for the third time?
"Please, please," The boy started, moving closer to Y/n and putting on a pouty face. "I-I came in here with my dad, I can't find him. He was going to get me cake, and now I can't have it," He went into a full-out sob, tears flowing down his face and hiccuping resounding around the area.
"Okay, where was the last place you saw your father?" She inquired, giving him a spectacle look, Y/n hesitantly patted the boy on the shoulder. He looked somewhat familiar, yet she couldn't put her finger on it.
"In a music room. My dad said-" He once again broke out into a fake cry while Y/n took his hand and let him lead the way to where he once was. "He's a part of a club here," The blonde mumbled.
"A club? Your father is a student. Wait a minute-"
"You found my son. Thank you. Please come in." The 'father' thanked her, now wearing the same fake mustache another blonde had tried.
"No, you both are a part of that club. Just like those other guys,” Y/n took a step away from the duo. “Why are you following me?"
"Um," The 'father' voiced refusing to look Y/n in the eyes but instead stared straight ahead.
"Do I get my cake now?" The blonde pulled out the walkie-talkie and spoke into it.
"Why are there walkie-talkies?" Y/n pondered.
"They are like that," Haruhi chimed in, sneaking up on Y/n.
Y/n flinched, stepping aside to make room for her friend, "Haruhi, your friends are kind, but I'm a little confused about all of this."
"Takahashi Y/n, in the same year and class as Haruhi and the twins. The only daughter of the Takahashi family wears a mask and enjoys her peace. Good at figuring things out," He stopped, looking at the girl whose eyes were wide open with confusion. "Well Somewhat. Yet I can't get much more on you," He walked closer to her.
"That's all you need to know, more than you do. Ootori Kyoya, your father is Yoshio, and you have three other siblings, all older. Your family is well established as well, I know more about you than you will ever know of me. It shall stay that way, I don't need people knowing much about me, it's... odd," Y/n voiced, walking into the club room and searching for a phone.
"Y/n, wha-" Haruhi began.
"I'm sorry, I have a feeling I'm going to get in trouble if I continue speaking. I hope I didn't offend any of you and our family relationships can stay well, I just need to make a call," She started plucking in the digits for the number.
"Takahashi, why must you consult your father on a friendly conversation with fellow teenagers?" Kyoya wondered.
"I can't say, I mean I'm- well," She didn't know what to say, she didn't have an excuse ready at the moment, she was caught fully off guard.
"Join the club," Tamaki spoke up, walking over and taking the phone from her hand, the butler on the other line speaking into it. "You interest me, the whole club, the school. We just have tea with fellow students, you can do the same," He offered.
"Thank you, but-"
"Think for yourself," The 'father' from earlier chirped up.
"I,” Y/n looked down at the phone resting in the hand of the club president, an inviting smile on his face. For once, she felt that she had control of her life and her choices, she felt that way when with Haruhi and wouldn’t mind it becoming something more frequent. “I suppose it could prove useful for our company, and it could be enjoyable," She muttered, a small smile appearing on her features hidden underneath the mask, though Haruhi knew Y/n enough to be able to recognize the little changes in her facial features to tell she was happy.
"Great! Y/n, welcome to the Ouran High School Host Club!”
an - hello, this was just something silly I made up to introduce y/n to the rest of the group, the next chapters will be adding y/n into episodes. (There is a reason she wears a mask, not COVID-related or sickness, it will be shown later on. Y/n often uses titles like ‘senpai’ similar to the characters in the anime/manga)
hope you enjoy it! please let me know what you think!
next chapter - Beware of the Physical Exam!
