They were kids, who were naive and didn't have the maturity to act the wisest (in Sakura, Naruto, Ino and Shikamaru's case) or traumatised with no one to properly help them (in Sasuke's and Neji's case) and all of them eventually grew up and became better.

It's ridiculous to still hold Sakura for saying something insensitive in her childhood.

  It was unusual for Neji to be alone at home for a long time, always accompanied by Lee or their son. His husband wasn't supposed to arrive from his mission for a week or two, and Metal was sleeping at Houki's home, so the brunet found himself surprised by the loneliness that came hand by hand with midnight.

  His book wasn't entertaining enough, and he had been reading the same page over and over without actually picking up any single word written on the paper.   "I missed you," Neji mumbled, letting out a soft smile as he talked. His gaze analyzed the other man, and a soft hum escaped from his lips before he continued talking. "Are you tired?"

  Lee denied with his head, although he soon felt how his partner gently caressed his back enough to send shivers through all of his spine– the brunet soon became kissing him again with palpable need, and he wanted to give in and continue everything, but there was something they had to remember before doing anything at all.

  "Neji– Metal will hear us," the taijutsu master muttered after a while, and only then did he stop kissing his husband more against his will than anything else. Neji leaned in closer to him and denied with his head before replying.

  "Metal is with Houki tonight, we don't have to worry about that. That's why I asked if you were tired."

  For a moment, Lee titled his head in confusion, until he realized what the brunet was actually asking him in a not-so-subtle way. He smirked, finally taking off his clothes in silence and seeing his partner do the same, just to comfortably rest his body against the mattress and wait for him to do the first move like usual.

  Before anything could happen, Lee put a condom on, so no mistakes could occur between the two. Neji didn't want to go through bottom surgery yet, after all, and it wasn't hard to protect both himself and his husband.

I’ve been meaning to do this for a while, but now’s as good a time as any, so; here’s a list of all the fics I’m currently working on and plan to write in the future! (I’ll keep this list updated any time I finish/start/think up something new and there’ll be a link to this page in my blog header)

I’m hoping that getting myself and other people excited for my planned fics will encourage me to crack on and finish my WIPs

Here are all the fics I am currently working on, I’m still trying to find a balance where I can update more regularly without sacrificing quality, I don’t know if I’d be able to work on more than 3-4 fics at a time, but I will probably be experimenting with having five or six on the go at some point – I do tend to get easily distracted and having more fics I can bounce between might actually be easier for me

·        AU setting, the girls never met at school and thus led very different lives, Kase went on to become a star sprinter, but, with her entire life revolving around athletics, as she grows older and her star fades, she finds herself lacking motivation and teetering on the edge of depression, meanwhile Yamada has done exactly what was always expected of her, going to a local college, taking a course she liked but didn’t love and eventually becoming a teacher, never realising the option to follow her passion was even available

·        Story follows Kase as she’s forced into a long-term ‘vacation’ back to her hometown to rehabilitate and rediscover her drive, while there she meets Yamada and they strike up a friendship and eventual romance, helping each other find out what kind of life they really want to live and realising that it’s not too late to try

·         Mid-to-long fic, mostly fluffy, slice-of-life romance, but with exploration of things like depression and mid-life crises, the girls will be about 32-34 in this, possibly a little older

Liquor Bottles and Ukuleles –

·        Pairings: ChoGaa, ShikaTema, SakuKarui, InoTen, ex-LeeGaa, ex-ChoKarui, Aro!Kank

·        Long-ish fic, college AU, Chouji is a happy but lonely student, who has accepted that he’ll never meet ‘The One’, until his best friends shove a cute redhead in his direction, mostly a fluffy romance fic, though there will be some drama

·        Lots of close friendships (InoShikaCho, ChoKarui, ChoOmoi, ChoKaruOmoi, InoTema, Sand Sibs)

·        Canon-verse, next gen, I’m thinking this fic will be much more similar to the Naruto manga than my other fics with an action adventure story that has ninjas doing ninja stuff, though that doesn’t mean I’m not going to just ignore Everything that happens in Boruto, it’ll be more like the first few arcs of Naruto where the conflicts/stakes are relatively small scale and it’s more about the characters than any big world-shaking events

NaruGaa Gym AU –

·        Pairings: NaruGaa, SakuTema, probable others

·        Short fic, modern AU, Gaara is the sickly noodle boy who is roped into going to the gym with his big sis, where he meets the chipper, chubby gym-bunny Naruto, who peptalks him onto a treadmill and then laughs for ten hours when he Immediately trips over literally nothing and sprains his ankle (and then buys him a coffee to apologise), meanwhile Temari has managed to get into a weightlifting competition with buff lesbian Sakura and it all gets a bit out of hand

Will definitely have alien life, but I’m not sure if I want sentient aliens who’re as developed/more developed than humanity, I’d like to keep this to the more “realistic” end of the genre and the focus to be mainly on the crew and their friendships, but thoughts would be welcome!

·        Will probably be similar in style to BTC, following the sand sibs and their relationship as it changes over the years (not sure if I’ll go right from the beginning, or just from the chunin exam arc up to the end of the war arc), going into much more detail about their development since Kishi dgaf about them, especially Gaara’s struggle to change himself after the exams, how and why he got Suna to accept him, Kank and Tem and their very complex relationship with Gaara (and each other) and Gaara’s long recovery from.. y’know. death. I’ll probably diverge from canon in some places (like the Rasa/Gaa reunion during the war)

Samurai AU –

·        Similar to SITS but more plot-focused, long fic, historical drama, set in Sengoku era Japan (or more likely a version of the Naruto world based heavily on it), no fantasy elements, might get dark in places, the story will mostly be focusing on Naruto, so it might be split into a series or have short spinoff fics focusing on other characters

Jinchuriki Fic –

·        No pairings planned thus far

·        Canon-divergent, after the chunin exams, instead of deciding to become Kazekage, Gaara instead wants to be for the other jinchuriki what Naruto was to him, follows the time-skip with Gaara traveling the continent and inadvertently starting a nomadic jinchuriki tribe, will probably be slice-of-life, though I might also just run with the idea and rewrite the whole Naruto plot based on this (and other) changes, for example:

·        Temari takes the position of Kazekage and her and Kankuro are taking steps to change their village for the better (they’re in regular contact with Gaara and constantly send letters to his new friends reminding them to make sure he eats)

·        Hinata and Neji are both much more active in their goal to destroy their clan’s caste system

·        Sasuke returns to Konoha earlier and him and the other rookies do their own investigating into their village’s long history of reprehensible actions

·        Cut the entire war arc. All of it.

·        Make the conflict less about big grand battles against ultimate evil mcbadguys and more about actually revolutionising the ninja world at its very core

  No matter how many things happened in the kingdom, the prince still decided to train Lee, even if snow fell around their bodies as they trained together or fought against invisible enemies just to get better at fighting side by side. He had already turned eighteen and the prince was still determined to help.

  Somehow, Neji had been motivated by his friend's determination to develop newer skills of his own. Going as far as asking experienced knights for advice, who gladly helped both men without minding.

  But now, they were alone, standing meters apart and with wooden swords on their hands, observing each other to see where to hit first– the brunet allowed his companion to strike him without fear of being punished, and he even seemed to enjoy their casual sparrings not even minding the injuries that tended to appear on his skin.

  Lee had never beat him though, and hopefully, that would happen soon. Perhaps that same day… and if not, he would do a hundred laps around the entire kingdom to gain more strength!

  Using his wooden sword, he had managed to leave Neji unarmed, his fake weapon falling too far away for him to be able to grab it once again– the brunet squinted his eyes, attempting to make Lee fall to the ground by kicking his leg. Had it happened a couple of years in the past, that would have been enough, but now that he was able to defend himself he managed to grab his friend and stop him before he could do anything at all, even if it meant letting go of his handmade weapon. He had to grab him by his waist, no matter how warm his cheeks became– Neji still struggled a bit, but ended up focusing his lavender gaze on the cook, who almost tripped as his friend moved around.

 Their lips almost touched by how close they had accidentally gotten to the other, and Lee could feel Neji’s breath on him, his own agitated heart making him freeze right where he was without him being able to do anything at all. God, the other man just observed him, not even trying to free himself from his hands, not even caring that he had technically lost the spar after many months of training with the cook.

  Instead of trying to let go, the prince did something that Lee couldn’t have even predicted in a million years. He chuckled, tilting his head back for a second, before getting closer and closer to his friend and minimizing the distance between their faces– between their lips – in a soft kiss that slowly turned more and more desperate. Lee was too shocked to do anything, almost letting go of the brunet due to the surprise– only to catch him again before his back touched the ground. 

  That ended with Neji giggling once again, and their spar was considered over even if no words were exchanged then. The black haired man didn't even know what to say or do after the sudden contact, apart from being in complete silence as his mind raced with a million meaningless thoughts occurring at the same time– his companion rested his head on his shoulder, while a soft sigh escaped from his mouth.

  "You finally managed to beat me. I felt like you deserved a reward," Neji admitted, accommodating wild strands of hair behind his ears. Hearing no response, he continued talking, this time closing his hands into a fist and slightly moving them down at the same time. "... I've noticed how you look at me, sometimes. I thought – was that alright, Lee? I should've asked. I'm sorry."

  "I… I do not mind, Neji! I just was not expecting a kiss and– it was fine, I guess," the black haired man admitted, carefully caressing Neji's cheek as he talked. "I do not know what to say about that. I think I liked it."

  The prince brightened up, and Lee couldn't help it but smile at him in a comfortable silence that didn't last long.

  “Meet me in my room tonight, by midnight. There's something we need to discuss,” Neji exclaimed while trying to hide his excitement, looking at the sides as he talked. He had a habit of doing that, too used to being spied on by now, so his voice soon turned into a whisper. "If someone finds you, tell them I called for you. And… we might need some oil."

  There was no time to ask more questions, as the king himself appeared through the hidden door towards the castle, possibly looking for his son. Hizashi waved at the cook before leading Neji inside, to do royal tasks or something like that– he was supposed to learn about how to govern, and that might be what was going to happen. 

  Neji smiled at his friend before disappearing behind the stone door, calmly walking away.

  A small candle was his only guide through a labyrinth of countless hallways during that dark Winter night, forgotten by the moon and the stars themselves.

  Tenten was curious as to why he was so energetic that late in the night, with a small bottle hidden in his clothes– Lee had just smiled and left without saying much, making her promise to stay quiet about his small disappearance. His sister had squinted but agreed, too tired to even think about what the other cook might even do.

  Now, he only needed to be sneaky enough to not be detected by the guards, who didn't even squint at seeing his shadow moving with a light on his hands. They weren't very keen on protecting people without royal blood, so most didn't even care until Lee started to approach where the king and his heirs rested– there was more security there, and now he just needed to wait for the right moment, with the gentle flame of his candle extinguished thanks to the wind and…

  Bingo. Whatever that meant, it felt correct in that situation, when he managed to get close enough to Neji’s room to not be found by absolutely nobody.

  Lee only managed to knock twice, as it didn’t take long for Neji to open the door and invite his friend to enter his room. He looked to the sides before closing the door, as if he expected someone else to appear or was just being wary of the world. He couldn't help it but grin at seeing that they were definitely alone, and his hand slowly approached Lee's, too shy to even touch his fingers so softly that he barely felt it.

  "What did you want to talk about, Neji?" he whispered to the prince, tilting his head to the side. "And why did you need oil?"

  It was then that the cook saw a faint blush decorating his friend’s cheeks, as he simply made some motions for him to follow. Neji sat down on his bed – with dark purple sheets and so huge, Lee had never imagined a bed could be so wide! He was too used to sharing a mattress with Tenten that having something so big just for himself felt… strange.

  “Come here, Lee. Let’s do something fun.”

  That rang a bell in Lee’s mind, but it didn’t make sense. They were men– what could be fun to do on top of a bed together? The entire situation was odd, and it had been ever since they had sparred together earlier in the day.

  He only obeyed without making too many questions, leaving the small bottle of oil on the nightstand near the bed as to not drop it by accident– and before he even managed to get comfortable on top of the blankets, Lee was met by a pair of lips placing themselves on top of his own, but this time he didn't want to let go no matter how surprised he felt.

  A stolen kiss soon became two, three and countless more, as Neji slipped his hands under his companion's shirt, his lavender eyes focused on Lee's black ones to see if something changed in his expression. And seeing no doubt, the brunet went on, enjoying the slow rhythm they were taking and just caressing the cook's back muscles without doing much else.

  Lee froze up, feeling shivers all across his spine. What was he supposed to do? He didn't even know if continuing the kiss would be alright, more so in the prince's own room, for heaven's sake– what would the king do to them if someone found them making out, right on top of Neji's bed? God, they would be executed at any moment now.

  But being like that, with the prince touching and kissing him – and silently encouraging him to do the same – felt so good, as if that was what they were meant to do, with who his subconscious really wanted to be with and for some reason it wasn't a woman. As if a puzzle of sorts had finally started to make sense after years of exploring countless possibilities with other people, different attempts at connecting the dots that now seemed just right as Lee began kissing the other man back, carefully biting on his lower lip and enjoying how he smiled in the middle of that.

  Oh, he didn't even realize how much he had been looking forward to those kisses for a long time. Hell, Neji himself had seemed to realize before Lee himself did, attentive to what happened in the world as he always was.

  “You have gotten so strong, Lee,” the brunet whispered in his ear once they separated from the other in search of air, a smirk visible on his face. “I was thinking we could… test your strength and energy. But only if you want to, of course.”

  Placing a hand on his chest, Lee replied, still a bit unsure of his own words.

  “I will do anything you want, Neji,” he mumbled, looking at the prince for a second before continuing. “You are my Lord, after all, and I will obey you.”

  That… seemed to be the wrong thing to say, as the brunet let out an annoyed sigh, almost as if he was frustrated by something.

  “No, Lee. Forget about all the Lord thing– and choose. Do you want to do this with me? To, uh… make love together?” Neji exclaimed, his face shifting into a deep red hue as he talked. “I’m not your Lord tonight. I’m your friend– and if you want to, I’ll be your lover. I’ll understand if you don’t want to do anything with me, and I won’t insist ever again if that’s the case. Speak with your heart, and not with your mind.”

  He didn’t even know what the prince was talking about, and it must have been obvious in his face because Neji started to grow anxious, trying to find the correct words to use without saying anything at all.

  "Teach me what that is. I might enjoy it!" Lee exclaimed with excitement in his eyes, knowing well that his friend was looking forward to whatever it was that he wanted to do. It must be good, right?

  It took Neji a couple of minutes to answer, although it was more like a question than anything else.

  “Did Gai not teach you what sex is?” the brunet asked genuinely, his voice revealing surprise rather than anything else. Lee scratched the back of his head in silence. “... You were too young when he died, right?”

  “Yes, I was nine, but– it does not matter. I will help you!”

  Neji bit his lower lip, as if he now was unsure about everything. He made some distance between Lee and himself, thinking without saying anything at all– was he annoyed? Uncertainty wasn’t something common in him.

  “I don’t feel too comfortable making love if you don’t even know what it is,” Neji admitted, finally looking at his friend in the eyes. “It’s… fun, I heard. People make babies that way– but we can’t really have babies. And, uh… if you feel uncomfortable at any moment, we’ll stop. Does that sound alright?”

  The black haired man nodded with his head, not really knowing what to do from there but not really willing to bombard his friend with stupid questions– he couldn’t help it but notice that the prince soon began taking off his shirt and pants after that, and Lee felt his cheeks warming up at seeing Neji’s bare chest.

  “Why are you taking off your clothes, Neji?” Lee muttered, tilting his head to the side as he talked. Neji got as red as a tomato with the question, his voice barely audible in his response.

  “It feels better this way, I think. Or that’s what the books said…”

  Satisfied with that answer, the cook began imitating his companion, ignoring the feeling of embarrassment that was growing on his chest– he had never been naked in front of anyone else, with his hard penis so close to somebody… his heart was beating so quickly that he felt like it would explode, his body being so warm that it could melt all the snow outside of the castle all at once.

  “Oh– you are big,” Neji noted, his gaze observing Lee without shying away, who just let out a nervous chuckle. “We can use the oil now– you have to, uh, use it on yourself. Just imitate me, okay?”

  The cook got closer to the other man, not really knowing what to do but too nervous to actually stop and ask. The lower part of his body felt hard as it had never had been, as if it were made of stone or something like that– he saw Neji pointing at his own butt without saying anything, in an attempt to guide the other man and–

  Lee didn’t expect the loud gasp that the brunet let out as he entered on him in a quick, deep thrust, but he felt the need to freeze on the spot without doing anything else as his companion managed to regain his composure if only slightly.   Lee couldn't help it but notice how warm his companion was inside, his heart beating so quickly on his chest that he felt like it would explode at any moment– his companion bit his lower lip but waited for some seconds before getting closer to the other man, sighing.

  Neji was so beautiful, and it had taken the cook years to actually admit it even if only his thoughts knew about his secrets. And, of course, the prince himself.

  The black haired man suddenly had an idea, and perhaps his friend would like it; he began carefully moving on the spot, his dick entering and exiting from Neji's ass in a slow rhythm that had made him groan, his head slightly tilted back as sounds of pleasure escaped from his lips– he even started to follow along too, his arms wrapping themselves on Lee's body for stability and to not let go of him.   "Lee, please don't stop," Neji pleaded at one point with bliss overflowing through his voice, now also using his legs to hold the other man and feel closer to him.

  Lee thrusted in once again, and– god, Neji's moans were like an angelic choir for him, making his heart feel agitated with absolutely no effort at all. 

  Neji kept mumbling his name as Lee pushed in more and more, apparently hitting a good spot with his dick based on how the brunet arched his back and had to suppress himself from moaning too loudly– his eyes were teary, focusing on the other man in an attempt of finding something solid to observe.

The prince hummed, leaning into the embrace with a calm smile decorating his face– he didn't say anything as Lee began carefully caressing his long hair, not bothered in the slightest.

  "You were right, Neji. It was fun," the cook muttered, letting out a chuckle as he saw Neji's pleased face. "... You look cute."

  The brunet looked up and without saying anything, he leaned in and stole a kiss from him, that was soon reciprocated. There was no desperation in their lips, just joy and love. Lee felt comforted as his friend– no, his lover – slowly wrapped him with his arms too, his head resting on his chest in silence, listening to his heartbeats and slowly falling asleep as his companion covered both of them with blankets.

  Perhaps they would face consequences of their little escapade in the future, forbidden by their contrasting origins, but for now they would rest together and enjoy the company until the first rays of the sun fell on their naked bodies and they would need to go their ways for most of the day.

  The sun was starting to hide away when Lee returned to the village that day, with a mission successfully completed just like it was usual for him.

  He was anxious, but nothing bad would happen; a simple report to Sakura about what had happened in another land, and he was free to return home. He wanted to arrive quickly, even if his legs ached with every step, to soothe the yearning for home that was rooted deep in his heart.

  Normally, he would spend some time talking with his friend, but that wasn't just another day; it was his third anniversary with Neji, and Lee had finished everything as humanly possible just to return with his husband in time to celebrate.

  Neji had promised him a little surprise for when he came back, refusing to give him any kind of hint. Sakura would understand his rush– she even smiled when Lee told her about the special date, so there would be no problem with that.

  Carefully, Lee entered the building, paying attention to everything just in case something strange happened. He could sense that someone else was hiding inside, but his instincts reassured him that nothing bad would happen. 

  In fact, Lee didn't feel any kind of uneasiness as somebody hugged him from behind; a pair of familiar arms were now wrapped around his waist, and soft giggles could be heard, a familiar voice invading his ears.

  "There you are, my love!" the taijutsu master exclaimed, placing his hands on top of his husband as he turned around. "I missed you so much!"
