Ok. Now, for that already know what knows what happens in Part 2, Abby kills Joel in a very horrific manner. Not rehashing it, nor do I really want to turn this into another Abby bashing post. Not my favorite character, but I don't outright hate her, and won't tolerate that shit right now. Time and places, people.

I am concerned because of the absolute hate STILL felt for the character, that it will seep over to the actor in full force, much like it did for LB. Many can't seem to be able to separate the actor and character from each other. They still body shame Abby to no end. I've already seen a bunch of comments where they began body shamming the live action actor before she was even cast.

The misogynistic idiots can be ignored to a degree. But what really worries me are the Pedro fans, similar to the Joel fans, are gonna be so pissed when they see Abby kill Joel. And they didn't know it was coming. Some people can remain oblivious, somehow, in this day and age. How feral are they gonna be? How reactionary are they gonna be? Are they gonna be able to separate the actor from the character? And, more importantly, are the rest of us Pedro fans gonna be mature enough to help guide them to a safe place to get their emotions out where it won't be a complete nightmare for KD AND Pedro?!

Because, c'mon, you can't tell me, that when Pedro sees any fan of his hurt anyone that it doesn't hurt him? The big smush pillow that he is? I see so many people passing around videos and memes about how they're not responsible for your reactions to their actions. That may be so, but you do need to be held accountable if those actions are causing harm. A point that is sorely missed those. The Pedro Fandom is overall protective of our Pedro.

So, I want to kindly ask the Fandom, with love, that when we see this shit happening, and especially when it happens when the show airs, (picture lots of mom/grandma finger pointing here, because that's me), to be nice, be mature, ask them to remember what our Squish Pillow would do (even if he is more chiseled and less squishy right now 😉)? Are we adding to his anxiety? We don't need to do that. The man has more than enough for all of us and don't need no more. Nor does he need another fucking excuse to shrink more away from social media!

Besides, I don't know Kaitlyn Dever. I've never heard of her. I look forward to learning more about her, and seeing what she brings to Abby. Do she and Craig make me see what Neil wanted me to all along? Or is it the same old? But I know this. I won't hate her. She's a human being. Very few things on this planet could make me hate her, and her playing Abby is not one of them.

In the season 1 script book (idk if it's in every version but definitely it's in the white paperback version) there's a scene that got cut from episode 3 that takes place on opening day at the bookshop. And I swear, if season 3 opens with this scene I am going to go absolutely feral.

Because this scene is essentially an alternate version of how the final fifteen of episode 6 could have gone.

Gabriel (and Sandalphon) are trying to bring Aziraphale back to heaven as a promotion. Aziraphale doesn't want to go but unlike ep. 6, in this scene he doesn't outright say it. He just cites opening his bookshop. And instead of trying to convince him like the metatron did, Gabriel and Sandalphon really don't leave any room for Aziraphale to make his own choice (or the illusion of choice depending on what season 2 theories you believe), they're going to take him back to heaven as soon as Gabriel finishes an errand (picking up a new outfit from a nearby tailor).

Crowley is luckily eavesdrops from the doorway (only Aziraphale notices him there) and while Gabriel is trying on his new clothes, he hears Crowley talking to someone in the alley through the dressing room window.

Who is Crowley talking to? No one. He's puppeting a mannequin to make it seem like he's having an infernal meeting. Crowley makes the puppet tell him that Aziraphale is going to be sent back up to heaven and Crowley pretends to be excited about the news because apparently Aziraphale is the only thing stopping evil from succeeding on earth.

The scene cuts to Gabriel and Sandalphon telling Aziraphale that actually just kidding about the promotion, he needs to stay on earth after all.

Imagine season 3 opening like this and how that would contrast against the final fifteen.

In the notes ahead of the scene, Neil Gaiman writes that if it had been the other way around, if Aziraphale was rescuing Crowley, he would have fought harder to keep it in the show. Imagine how putting this at the start of season 3, it would foreshadow a last minute haphazard rescue by Crowley.

I said that this scene is the alternate version of the final fifteen but what if it's the other way around. What if the final fifteen is a second attempt at the bookshop opening day scene? Imagine if this promotion and medal and sending Gabriel down was the Metatron's first attempt at bringing Aziraphale back to heaven and having failed spectacularly, he decided that the next time the opportunity presented itself, he'd do it himself.

I don't know, i just think it'd be neat if this were our season 3 opening scene.

It really isn’t nearly talked about enough that the thing that got Andrew to actually look at Neil and become interested was (as cited by Neil himself at some point tho I can’t remember in which book that scene is from the top of my head) Neil’s bone-deep jealousy of Kevin. It’s—it ties into that whole epiphany that Neil has at some point, when he looks at Andrew and realizes that while he is hurtling towards his own breaking point and about to burn out and shatter into something he’s not sure he’d recognize if he survived the encounter, Andrew hit that point and broke from it years ago. And that’s an understanding that goes both ways between them—in a fucked up way, it feels like Andrew might be the future that Neil has waiting for him if he doesn’t end the year six feet under: hollow and drifting, passionless after everything he had to rip away from himself to be able to survive. At the same time, Neil probably reminds Andrew of how he used to be, back when he had hope for things only to have that hope rip him apart—which is exactly where Neil seems to be headed for the majority of the story.

I think that a lot of Andrew’s understanding of Neil comes from the fact that he knows intimately what it feels like to be caught between a rock and a hard place and cut his own lifeline, only to then fail to die on impact. Neil hasn’t had to resort to that yet, but he is hanging by a thread. You’d think that watching him struggle would only serve to drive it home for Andrew that he made the right choice in closing himself off, except… well. His expectations of life and the people in it are so bleak, it’s no wonder he finds himself drawn to Neil’s messy emotions and every unexpected show of spine like a moth to a flame.

Neil, for all of his issues and scars, can still feel things—can still want something so badly it defies all logic. Can want something with such visceral, fucked-up intensity that it resonates where it shouldn’t. It’s an ability that Andrew thinks he’s either lost or cut out of himself to stay somewhat safe, sane and alive a long time ago, but that remains as the most fundamental crack in the foundation of his being. It’s a fascination that seems to come out every time he’s sober and eventually ties into him wanting Neil—wanting something worth wanting and putting a name to it once he finds it. They look at each other and don’t want a watered-down version of the person in front of them. It creates a relationship that embraces issues big and small and accepts (even values!) the messy parts of being human. It means that any space shared between them immediately becomes safe once they settle into something comfortable together. The way they handle the uglier sides of each other’s personality honestly makes me feral because it’s always done with understanding and acceptance and they even find positives or comforts there that the other can’t see and that’s probably a reason for why 1) their chemistry is so off the charts and 2) their relationship is so damn healthy (in addition to their communication being stupidly good when it comes to each other).

Andrew wants something real and Neil wants to be real. And then they get to have exactly that.

4. What’s a word that makes you go absolutely feral?

Oh there are a lot, I like words,,, but the moment I read this all of them flew out of my head because of course they did JGKFDGD.

I can say that I tend to like words that are very visceral ("visceral" is kind of one of them actually, on that note). I want words that I can taste, words that sound like they feel.

Alright I sat on this question a bit and 30 minutes later finally remembered something. The word "despite" is one that I just. Adore. I have to fight not to overuse it. It is so versatile and it can swing from being incredibly tragic to overwhelmingly hopeful; the constant is that it always implies a similar sense of struggle in my mind. I have a lot of emotions about this word. More emotions than I thought I did, actually.

Related: I love swear words. There's a certain oomph that can be carried by a well-placed "fuck".

24. How much prep work do you put into your stories? What does that look like for you? Do you enjoy this part or do you just want to get on with it?

I tend to get very bogged down in making sure I know exactly what is going on and what I want to do. This usually take the form of very scattered notes of plot points I need to hit or events that need to happen, or at least mapping out in my mind what will happen and when. I don't always know how things will end exactly but because I work very sequentially with my plots, lots of A happened which lead to B which created C, I usually want to make that very solid foundation first.

... However. I will often find that I end up with exactly how I want a scene to go before I've worked out any of the connecting elements, and then desperately want to go write that right now out of fear I will either forget or lose the fire. And then suddenly there is a massive amount of text in front of me that was entirely unplanned and I am not fully certain of how it even got there.

So! I suppose overall it's kind of situational whether I say "if I don't pre-plan exactly how many hairs are in this background character's beard then I'll die" or "hold my flower I'm going to black out for three hours while I slam out 4k words of action off the dome". But it does tend to be either all or nothing when it happens lmao. Most of the things I do are like that to be quite honest.

Here and Away by Neil Hilborn [discusses mental health and self-isolation]

I like a lot of poetry, but I especially have a soft spot for spoken word and slam poetry. Neil Hilborn is one of my favorite poets in that area and I own exactly one physical poetry book and it is Our Numbered Days, which I purchased several years ago while travelling to attend my uncle's funeral.

Oh boy, was it a time to get that book in particular!

Many of the poems have a focus on Neil grappling with grief and the inevitability of death, as well as general mental health struggles. But this one in particular, Here and Away, hit me like a freight train because I related to it immensely.

Some lines I would very much like to highlight in particular:

"It takes so much less energy to not exist than it does to exist and get burned. I've been burned so much I'm not me anymore."

"Whatever you are feeling right now, there is a mathematical certainty that someone is feeling that exact same thing. This is not to say you aren't special. This is to say thank god you aren't special."

Hello! I’m Alister and below the cut you can find my about me/intro post for the SP Olympics event :)

For starters, my favorite ship is of course Gregstophe aka Gregory/Christophe from the movie. I’ve got various metas and fics about them if you’re looking for characterization inspiration (or scenes for drawing inspiration 👀 my gregstophe tsot fic is my current passion project). You can find all the important stuff in my pinned post. I love them both individually as well, though I do slightly favor Christophe 😅. I’ve also got more ships with him that I enjoy, namely Damstophe (Damien/Christophe), Kenstophe (Kenny/Christophe), and Tophlovski (Christophe/Kyle)

My second favorite ship is by far Style! I love most anything with them, but particularly fond of their Stick of Truth sonas. I’m just very drawn to the concept of regal elf king Kyle in love with his noble and faithful human knight Stan (who is definitely in love with him too)… it’s a very good concept to me. I also really like very regular AUs with them, just like high school or college or domestic stuff. The one thing I will say is that I’m not really a fan of the bleached hair Stan design but otherwise go nuts!

I have a fun AU I adore that I tag as “Kendy vs the World” but usually just call it my “kendy scott pilgrim au”. As you can probably guess, it’s a Scott Pilgrim AU with Kenny as the titular Scott Pilgrim and Wendy as Ramona Flowers. Other roles include Marjorine as Knives, Henrietta, Thomas, and Clyde as Kim, Stephan, and Young Neil respectively, Kyle as Envy Adams, and Christophe as Wallace Wells. Wendy’s (Ramona’s) exes are Tolkien (Matthew Patel), Gregory (Lucas Lee), Stan (Todd Ingram), Bebe (Roxy Richter), Kevin McCormick and Kevin Stoley (Ken and Kyle Katayanagi), and lastly Cartman (Gideon Graves). It’s mostly based off the movie because I’ve seen that and I’ve only read a few of the graphic novels.

I have a few children of ships I ship that you can find if you search the tag “sp next gen” on my blog! You’re welcome to ask me more about them if you like (I have a google doc of lore) but honestly just seeing those scamps doing whatever (either with each other or their parents) would make my day 🥰

Favorite characters (besides any in previous mentioned ships I like) are Damien, Kenny, Red, Bebe, and Craig. For Craig in particular I really like Youth Pastor Craig… I’m a sucker for religious imagery! Him with Imp Tweek or Angel Kenny makes me feral every time.

I’ve got a lot of rather rarepairs that I love and always love to see! You can ask for others if you’d like but off the top of my head I think my favorites are Dyde (Damien/Clyde), Rola (Red/Lola), and Lanskov (Corey Lanskin/Davey Solokov). They may not make much sense to you but I like them lots :3

there are a lot of absolutely delightful aftg fics and i read and enjoy pretty much anything in this fandom but sometimes people just make andrew and neil too damn soft and affectionate and normal. like. these boys aren't normal and that's okay! it's okay if they never say i love you or act like other couples, it's okay if they don't go on "normal" dates.

i can only see these two ever getting married for legal purposes. neil gets hurt too much, and andrew would kill anyone who stands between them. them getting married would mean people can't stand between them, that andrew is allowed into any hospital room neil ends up in.

but like. i feel like people try to turn andreil into just any other ship. and they're never gonna be that. they're both way too fucked up and traumatized, and also like, andrew's just not that type of person? their idea of dates are sitting on the roof smoking or going for drives. andrew's affection is heavy-handed comfort and reassurance (and even that is fucked up), violent protection. it's not... soft and gentle, and it doesn't need to be, and that's not what neil needs from him either. like i'm not saying andrew is never gentle – he's very careful with neil, all the time, but especially when he needs to be. but he's never verbally affectionate, he never babies neil, he's not that type of person. his character can be read as aromantic, and i don't think he would ever label his relationship with neil as like. simple romantic love. it's something else completely, but its still just as important.

and neil is. neil. he's feral and fucked up and touch starved and doesn't know or understand how most people work. he finds andrew's sharp edges and violence comforting. he doesn't want andrew to change for him. he understands andrew and andrew understands him. he loves the other foxes and the easy affection they give, but he also feels uncomfortable with it a lot of the time. what andrew and neil offer each other is completely unconventional but it's exactly what they both want and need.

i don't want to read about them learning how to be normal people in a conventional romance

something i just really like to think about is neil starting to show his actual personality to the rest of the foxes post-canon and them being shocked.

before they knew about everything, he had to keep up the shy, quiet, ordinary, unsuspecting neil josten act. but post-canon, i like to think that he lets loose a little, allows his real personality to show. he actually lets them see ruthless, blunt, hot-tempered neil josten.

i believe in neil having a very specific "im about to raise hell" expression where he does his scary smile and his eyes go absolutely feral, and the others learn that if they see that expression, they need to step aside. also, i think the others might underestimate how good of a liar neil is. he'll have them convinced that he's innocent but andrew will insist that he's lying; the others, at first, think andrew's being mean and bitter, neil's too sweet to be faking this time, why would he lie about something small like this? ...and then neil's expression completely changes from "innocent child" to "chaos demon" frighteningly quickly. it's absolutely terrifying. andrew sees the horror on the other's faces and just goes, see? gullible morons.

what makes this even better: i like to think that once andrew sees that neil won't be pushed around anymore, and also that neil won't let his people be pushed around either, that andrew feels like he can let down his guard a little bit. like...he feels like there is someone who is willing to and capable of protecting him for once. so andrew might actually relax a little bit...while neil gets more unhinged. i just love this trope and all the possibilities.

like, imagine neil does or says something shocking to the upperclassmen, and they turn to andrew and are like "??? are you gonna control him??" because they're used to andrew being controlling over his people. but andrew doesn't feel the need to control neil when he's like this (tbh he's not fully sure that he could). so he just shrugs nonchalantly and stares blankly (and, if you look closely, admiringly) at neil while he wreaks havoc.

it's just like...wait til the upperclassmen realize that neil is far more willing to fuck shit up than andrew ever was. wait until they realize that andrew just wants to drink hot chocolate and talk shit with his therapist while neil crosses people off his hit list. you know?

I like to believe the last straw that made Neil finally fight Jack up was that he said something really fucked up about Andrew. Probably about either his childhood or that he's crazy, and Andrew doesn't care, but Neil is pissed because it's one line too many this asshole is crossed and he goes FERAL.

The Dan and Matt look on in absolute shock because Neil is their ✨child✨ and he is so sweet and how!?!? Kevin and Renee share a "finally" moment, Allison is a little proud, Nicky would make some joke about how Neil couldn't have been THAT sweet and good to be with Andrew (gets him smacked but oh well) and Aaron.....

Aaron realizes that maybe Neil did love his brother, maybe he cared, maybe he understood Andrew better than anyone else on the team, maybe he wasn't going to hurt him.

And if he smirked a little while watching Neil verbally berate Jack after hitting him with a racket, fucking prove it, cus he'd rather die than admit it to anyone.

neil would go absolutely feral on twitter. he can’t use his phone for the life of him so twitter is the one social media he learns how to use and boy does he use it

nicky is a snapchat dude. we all know this. maybe we are too afraid to admit it because he uses everything but like… it’s nicky. snapchat is his favourite. it just makes sense.

allison has the perfect instagram. it’s the perfect blend between pictures of her looking incredible and genuinely entertaining content. if you aren’t following her, you should be.

kevin pulls a jeremy renner and just develops his own social media app. except it’s less self absorbed and is just basically an exy platform where pro players and sports news channels can post. he thinks everything else is a waste of time

renee is a textbook pinterest girlie. hacking into her account and looking through her saved pins is how allison knows what to get renee for her birthday. she also almost exclusively uses whatapp to message people

matt is great on tiktok. he’s the one pulling tiktok pranks on the foxes and going viral.

aaron mostly uses reddit. we can be upset about it but we know that it’s true

dan i’m bringing to tumblr. she uses other things as well in the way that most people do, but she has the most fun on here. i don’t really have reasoning for this just vibes.

andrew. oh andrew. he refuses to get any sort of social media on principal. he gets an instagram forced upon him when he joins a pro team but he uses it minimally. he only ever posts mandatory game announcements that he is contractually obligated to post. this is a front. he secretly runs the most popular fox hate page on instagram. the public is 99% sure it’s a joke of some kind run by the team itself because the individual foxes keep sharing the posts and the team just thinks that it’s kevin. after they’ve all graduated it becomes the #1 place to get your minyard-josten rivalry news and the account tears into them both equally. neil finds out about the account when trying to upload a photo he just took to andrew’s official instagram. the world becomes a little confused by the account’s sudden pro andrew stance. under neil’s influence the account turns into a more general fox update page, with the occasional snarky comment. no one ever finds out who is behind it.
