cleo LOOKS like she's the popular one-

the attitude! the presence! the outfit! the ambition! the kind heart and the CONFIDENCE!! But Canonically Speaking-

frankie's the one made from various famous monsters, hanging with the ghoul kids in school. THEY'RE the one crushing hard on the local organization nerd ("self-proclaimed party princess"),

cleo, miss Number One human enthusiast, who means well but isn't always the best at reading the mood or focusing on priorities

(all of werewolf weekend) (also "clawed and clawdeen?? thank ra my parents didn't name me nefra-een! ugh~!" smiles, realizes no one else is smiling, "...right not the time cleo.")

she WANTS more fame, but mainly spends her time setting up school events, talking with her scarabs, and is starting to tag along with the popular group sometimes

So whatever her song says, i headcanon the vibe in school is more like....

Yeah, she has the funniest, most TRAGIC picture in the fearbook- I hear she has to make herself sneeze all over again whenever she wants to get something at the Coffinbean!

She's head of the dance committee, right? They did a "human themed" dance night once, because of her. And didn't she also organize the after-pep-rally eyescream this year? I think I remember her asking me what flavor I wanted...

Her friends? Um well, she's got these scarabs that are kinds cute. She tags along with Clawdeen Wolf and Draculaura sometimes, but I'm pretty sure she wasn't at that wild Nightmore party the crew had at one of Drac's mansions.

You know Frankie Stein- tall, goes by they/them, wears pretty much nothing BUT school memorabilia, falls apart a lot

I think they built a robot instead of turning in a paper one time, and blank out when remembering something from one of their famous brain bits?

They've got like, bits from almost any amazing monster you could name in the last half century! Monster models, Scareisian monsters, ballet dancers, monster scientists, lawyers. Even a bit from a king of Goreway! They're pretty clumsy but I mean, they HAVE only been alive for less than a year...

They dorm with Drac and Clawdeen- those three are pretty much always a trio, except for fearleading practice and theater stuff.

And yeah, I guess I see them with Cleo pretty often. Frankie, that is.

They sit with her at the creepateria a lot!

Huh. The brilliant franken monster and the second-in-line, dramatic, wanna be queen... I mean, don't get me wrong, Cleo's really nice! And her outfit is AMAZING... Just... I wonder what they even have to talk about...?

Monster High: Monster Ball Thoughts

Clawdeen

Love the suit. Even if G3 Clawdeen is worlds apart from G1, it's nice to see they decided to maintain her nonconformity. I don't like the stripe down the side of the pants though, it makes it look like track pants. I also would've liked to have her glasses here, I think it'd be the cherry on top since the whole look feels very 70's.

Cleo

I think Cleo looks gorgeous! The hair is very Nefra but it still works for me. If I had to change anything, I think this look could be elevated with dark lipstick, even an indigo or black! But otherwise, she's divine.

Draculaura

To die for, she is so adorable. I especially love the giant bow in her hair and around her dress! I would've liked if the bow was a hot pink instead and the shoes' colours were inverted so their primary colour is black. The earrings don't really fit the outfit either. Still, she's absolutely lovely!

Lagoona

I love her hair style and the shoes are probably my favourite of all of them! Her dark lipstick suits her surprisingly well too and the coral pattern on her frills look super nice. Despite that, the colour palette looks haphazard and oversaturated with a lot of conflicting pieces.

It's hard to tell if Lagoona's dress is slim-fitting because the top ruffles obscure her entire torso. It makes the dress look baggy even though I don't actually think it is. I wish her right shoulder was strapless instead and I'm not sure if it's a hem on the top frill but it adds to the cheapness of the look. I also think the scale outline should've been a light colour other than black so the scale pattern is more subtle and textured looking. There's a black hem before the bottom frill starts that we could've done without as well.

I understand Lagoona's outfit motif is always nautical but I wish they had a more specific theme here than just any random sea thing. Her necklace and earrings are octopuses which is an interesting idea but then her bag is a shell and her hair accessory and shoes are lilies? I wish they stuck to one thing and had that exist throughout the outfit instead.

More SWTOR numbers

So I'm going to assume that most of my followers don't play SWTOR. Let me break down some of the mechanics in a Nefra fight:

All of Nefra's damage is split, meaning it's divided evenly between all the targets the attack hits. If it's a 70K hit, and two people get hit, they each take 35K. Because of this, you run Nefra with two tanks. On Normal difficulty, you can get away with an "off tank," but on Nightmare, you need two.

And that's because Nefra targets TWO members of the raid simultaneously. The target who's 2nd on the threat table gets a stacking debuff that kills you in about 10 seconds. To get rid of the debuff, you have to either go up or down on the threat table.

Which means that when Nefra suddenly starts hitting you when you're a DPS, and you see that angry red debuff, you just kind of accept that you aren't living to the end of the fight.

I had to taunt a Nightmare Boss because the tanks weren't taunt-swapping correctly and I pulled threat. Somehow.

not the biggest fan of lagoona but i don't like her g3 design in general so it's def just me. i do think she has a stronger style in her refresh, but shes missing that swimmer aesthetic that i think is so important to her design. also less blue in her hair she really is lagoona pink now /j

FRANKIE WITH PANTS LETS GOOOOO i think the leaked prototype had a stronger color scheme (the pink streak in their hair isn't doing it for me) but i LOVE what they've been doing with frankie's style recently, really hype for that welcome committee doll 👀 also NO MORE PINK LIPS HUZZAH

tbh cleos kinda giving nefra in her refresh??? i do really like it tho, a MUCH stronger design vs her og core doll. i do think cleo's dolls have been some of the strongest out of g3 so this is no surprise to me

draculaura and clawdeen leaked a while ago but MAN did they do them justice. giving clawdeen her dark hair back and the fur on the jacket is SUCH a better execution, i love that they gave drac a sun hat i think that's so cute and i love that her outfit feels like a callback to g1 :) and again BLACK LIPS WERE FREE FROM THE HOT PINK NIGHTMARE-

and GOD g3s designs just keep getting stronger and stronger, i never had g1 venus so she might be my first g3 👀 i usually dont like the g3 pets (core refresh is no exception) but i think spectras pet is SO cute, spectras eyes are so pretty in the stock photos too im excited to see her in person :O

tldr i think it's so funny how g3 mh just keeps improving and judging by the lack of neon pink lipstick this time around seems to actually be LISTENING to fans meanwhile rainbow high is going down in flames LMAO

Im officially in love with these. Much better than the first wave of skulltimate secrete in my opinion. Only thing is Cleo with blue hair looks a bit too much like Nefra but I still love this Cleo anyways.
