#necco #usa #candy with #history @dj_bongohead with #repost @get_repost ・・・ Sad to read that the #necco candy company may close if it doesn’t find a buyer by May 6. How fondly I remember going on a tour in the early 70s as a birthday present from my aunt - the ultimate kid-with-serious-sweet tooth fantasy come true. What really blew my mind was seeing these cement-mixer looking contraptions that tumbled the gum balls until their outer candy coatings were a hard shiny shell. I also remember I proudly brought home a huge bulging shopping bag full of free #candy samples including of course #neccowafers and #gumballs (much to my mom’s horror).
