Tamagotchi Uni Stuff Part5

I have some extra images I didn't put in part 4 because I knew they weren't going to fit.

This time all images are related to the tamaverse arena events.

I noticed this a couple times but for some reason when an icon for someone off-screen is further ahead or further behind you & they happen to be a Tamagotchi you can only get with the DLC Nazotchi takes their place. However the correct character is available for everywhere else like who got what place, choosing teams & the results screens for which team won.

Just something interesting I found out.

I didn't really enjoy playing the track tama arena event, it was interesting at first but then smashing the buttons in a pattern got tricky for some reason.(Sometimes not helped by having to jump sometimes) I lost every time I played.

I wasn't entirely sure if I'd have room for some images when I first set this up. I came back for these & the two images saying "results" above after putting all the other images down when I realized there was room. I dunno if I'll show these pics next time I have tama arena event images later on.

Anyway yeah I played all 7 days & shirotama praised me for my work. I did all 7 days again in the next part but chose not to get the pics again.

I'm guessing this was a new update at some point because I don't recall in the past being given all the items if I play all 7 days. I went back to check my past posts(only found two related posts & a few mentions with one pic per some mentions) & the only example of getting all 7 days was the item you get if you do 7-6 days.(Admittedly it was the very first tama arena event too)

Also checked the 6 day one & same thing. Dunno if doing enough to get the middle reward would get it & the lowest amount reward so we'll have to see what happens.

I kind of like this new reward thing cause it makes you want to play all 7 days just to get everything available & you don't miss out on stuff.

Also I guess I have two croissants now, I wasn't interested in the fencing event's rewards so only played once leading to getting a croissant from that.

I thought this was funny, he looks like a weird crab. After looking around learned this is a drum based tama. I forgot their name & just a moment ago learned their name is Drumcrubitchi so yeah they are a drum crab.

The bunny jump one was way more enjoyable, this is from I think the only time I got 2nd place. I kept messing up leading to getting 3rd place, there was like 4-5 times I could have gotten 1st or 2nd place in the past if I hadn't slipped up.

Either way I had a fun time playing the bunny jump arena game & enjoyed trying my best to get to the top before time ran out. I kept slipping up & missing a platform repeatedly(cause of constant 3rd place) but still had a good time.

Also got the second tamaverse event care badge. I think I might be close to getting the final badge but I forgot.

Got all 3 again, even got an item I use to have & one I was interested in but didn't get because I wanted to get the racing trophy

Wonder what else I'll get eventually.

Besides making a post for the tama's fake social media posts I'm completely caught up on Tamagotchi Uni posts & will try to post about gen9 later today since it's past midnight

Tamalog Day 10

At 7AM as per usual, i just speedran calling the Sitter for everyone so i could go to sleep, and sadly that's where i am at right now, i need the Sitter taking care of them while i sleep since my sleep schedule is all messed up and i can do much of nothing to change it. But hey, the Sitters are helping, and they also did help today.

Waking up at 1:30PM, i went on to eat "breakfast" and picked up everyone from the Sitter while getting myself ready for work. Picochutchi wasn't hungry but was a little upset, so we played a bit at the Arcade and i gave her some Canelé, which is one of her favorite snacks, so that cheered her up right away. Himetchi was asking me for two hearts that were side by side, and i was honestly confused and scared that it was something serious, but it turned out that she wanted me to help her decór heart glasses, which we did and she turned out very happy with that, i'm glad she liked them. After that we went to the restaurant and she ate some pizza for lunch, i also tried feeding her a bagel but she straight up hated it and didn't wanna eat it, the poor thing. I couldn't give Kuchipatchi any attention since my Smart was low on battery, so i just had to wait until i got home to charge it, luckily he was still House-sitting, so it wasn't a problem anyway.

At work, since it's winter here, it was pretty uneventful and slow so i could take some time to explore both on the Pix and also on the Uni, we got some stickers with some friends, both level 2 and level 3 stickers, but sadly didn't meet anyone new today, no problem tho, we're in no rush for completion. On the Pix tho we met someone knew, Pukkutchi, which was pretty cute and even danced with Himetchi, after that we cooked a meal that consisted of Luna the Tabby Cat and Paulie Gualtieri from The Sopranos, which they turned into a Cake :D pretty cute. A bit later Nazotchi came in ringing the door bell, and Himetchi answered, so i was confused cuz generally Nazotchi is the one that delivers some items, but this time he just came inside the house, danced around with Himetchi and went away? o.O what? i am still confused, but hey, it was pretty cute. I love these little interactions and events they have kinda randomly occur, i am still even trying to get the ghost to appear in the Uni's living room cuz i just find it so cool and interesting to see these events happen.

At evening, i was feeling pretty tired, and laid down to take a nap, just before falling asleep, Himetchi asked me to go to the Arcade, which we did and we played a match of Football, where we did good. Being sleepy kinda hinders my absolutely matrix like abilities to help Himetchi hit those shots on the goal, but hey, no biggie. I made sure anybody else wanted anything, fed Picochutchi some sumo style hot pot and Kuchipachi ate some steak and cheese dog and only then i fell asleep, just to wake up at 10PM, the end of our Tama Day. Since i took a nap i couldn't play at today's Tama Arena match, but no problem. What matters is that we had fun. See you tomorrow <3

I've raised enough Memetchis on the keitai to know that something felt off about Memetchi on the V2. I knew her happy animation was different somehow, and thankfully all the pics I take of my tamas finally came in handy bc I was able to compare her to Keitai Memetchi to confirm that she does indeed have a different happy animation!

her eyes just look so weird and tiny here lmao, it doesn't feel right considering her main feature is her big eyes. also, she shows up as nazotchi on the V4.5 despite Memetchi being a raisable character, which I found interesting

i got my keitai and entama to connect! at first it wasn’t working bc i was selecting the option i used to connect my keitai to my v3, but i actually needed to select the option above that. once i did that they connected with no problem! since nikatchi is available on the entama, lilac appeared as herself rather than nazotchi! together they played a game that actually detracted points from the loser to give to the winner, and also gave each other gifts! lilac visited maple 4 times, 2 of which i recorded. the times i didn’t record, she gave maple a flower and a heart. the times i DID record, she gave him a fly that made him upset. it’s as if she could sense i was recording, lmao. 

here are maple and lilac on each other’s friends lists, as well as all the virtual pets i currently have running! i like the face rose is making here, lol. 

also some exciting news! i was able to find a working website for the enwarehouse, which lets you get items for the entama (and uratama) at the click of a button, including skill/GUTs points, gotchi points, and even items that were exclusive to the now-defunct tamatown/e-tamago! i’ve gotten a few items from it so far, and you can even get matchmaker cards that allow you to get exclusive “hatena group” characters that you could previously only get using e-tamago! sometime i want to try that out but right now i’m hopefully trying to get zukyutchi (the normal form of my first ever tama, ura zukyutchi)

can you explain the pill tamagotchi thing?

This might take a biiiiiit more explaining than I originally thought, here we go:

So when Tamagotchi came back in 2004 as the “Tamagotchi Connection” it introduced the infrared connection feature - that dark red bar on the top that could connect two Tamagotchis together (below is a pic of the difference between the 1996 and the 2004 models)

Now, in Japan there was a special promotional tool for the Tamagotchi Connection, known over there as the “Tamagotchi Plus”, in the form of large “Deka” Tamagotchi stations, which were powered via AC adapters and would be set up in retail stores. Through these, customers with their Tamagotchis could connect to the Store Dekas and have their characters play games with the Deka’s built-in characters (and in later models, receive items)

Dekas didn’t really make it overseas, but they still create versions of the Deka Tamagotchis for both retail and personal use in contemporary Japanese Tamagotchi devices, like the m!xAnyway, Kapuserutchi is a character that appears on the Store Deka, and is technically unobtainable as an evolution on the Tamagotchi itself.

So how do you “dangerously” get this funky little pill man?

On the Tamagotchi Connection / Plus line’s circuit boards there’s a solder jumper with the word “debug” printed over it, when you rub the graphite of a pencil between the two halves it completes the connection, putting the Tamagotchi into “debug mode”

There are two primary effects “debug mode” causes: hyper-speed, which can ‘fast forward’ your Tamagotchi through the regular 3-day growth stages in a matter of minutes, and character selection

The character selection feature lets you scroll through the list of adult characters you can obtain on the Tamagotchi Connection/Plus and allow you to pre-select the adult character you want to raise, rather than have it evolve determined by the type of care you give it

On top of the regular list of raisable characters, this mode lets you raise a list of characters which are only accessible in debug mode, likely coded in during the early development, but scrapped in the final productThese characters include ones borrowed from the Japanese Mesutchi and Osutchi (which actually had an early version of “connection” technology)

New characters that would become raisable on the Tamagotchi Connection Version 2 (only Furawatchi, the last one, was used in the Japanese Keitai Plus)

Characters that have specific uses for the device’s programming - Nazotchi appears in lieu of newer characters that were not coded into the Version 1 when connecting to newer Tamagotchi Versions, and “Three Blocks” has ties to the Deka-mode programming

And finally, the Japanese Store Deka Tamagotchi characters, which were programmed in not to be raised, but so the Tamagotchi Plus could have the Store Deka characters appear properly on the device. 

Since the programming of the Tamagotchi Connection Version 1 is essentially identical (save for language / regional changes) to the Tamagotchi Plus, this means these characters still exist within the English device’s programming, though the toy is incompatible with Japanese Store Dekas.

Now, there is a “danger” in activating debug mode: many people have reported that once activated it can be difficult to deactivate (it requires taking apart the Tama and erasing the graphite without damaging the board), some versions become horrifically glitched, the sound breaks, etc. 

Overall, with debug mode comes the strong possibility of irreversibly breaking your Tamagotchi, so it’s not a recommended practice within fan circles

Making custom growth charts

Here I will try to explain how custom growth charts would work!

Feel free to ask anything!

There are various things that we must place in the folder “CCharacter” before we can raise a custom growth egg.

First, the sprites of the egg, we need 2 images per egg:

A big one, called “egg_xb.png” (48x48 px, 4 24x24 sprites) and

a small one,  “egg_xs.png” (32). You must replace the x with a number between 9 and 15!

Then, if you want to add custom characters, you have to add 2 sprite charts for each too!

Depending on the stage, the big one will have to be a different size:

Babies: 64x64 px, 16 16x16 sprites

Child/Teen: 96x96 px, 16 24x24 sprites 

Adult: 128x128 px, 16 32x32 sprites

Examples for each: 

Regardless of stage, it should be named “chara_xb.png”

Then there’s the small one:

Must be called  “chara_xs.png”, (32x32, 3 16x16 sprites + pallete) here you must also include the pallete for the rarest colouration, having the colours that appear on the sprite on the left and the alternate ones on the right. You must only put the colours that you want to change, which cannot be cyan or any of the outline colours.

The x must be replaced w/ a number between 385 and 65535.

For all sprites, the background must be transparent cyan (#00FFFF), and the outline must be one of these: #000064 (normal), #0099EE (ura), #FF6600 (aka). You cannot use any of these colours for any other reason.

The sprites must be indexed to 256 colours and w/ the cyan background being transparent.

You must then add the names of the custom characters (if there are any), to the Names.txt file, like this: “index#:Name”

For example, to add Kakutchi, I would have to write: “386:Kakutchi”

Each character must be on a different line.

Then you must make the text file of the growth chart itself, give it a short name and make sure it follows the following structure:

1 egg/2 babies/4 toddlers/12 teens/36 adults/2 seniors Write the index number for each character separating each with a '-' and each stage with a '/'! The egg must be one of the custom ones you added, so pick a number higher than 8! The numbers will be written alternating between male and female, then considering the required skill(s) and then care level.

This is a template that will apply to all custom growth charts. You can find the index numbers for non-custom characters by checking the dex!

Here’s a finished example:

It’s text file (multi.txt) would look like this:

In order to clear up any confusion, I will show it w/ the names instead of the numbers (bear in mind that the babies are custom and have a number beyond 384, so they are not in the TamaDex and have to be inserted manually as explained previously), but the final text file must only have the numbers :

Use this to help you place the numbers correctly, but never actually leave any names on it, just numbers like the example!

Once you’ve got everything in order, open the sim, go te the options/settings menu and click on import characters, if there’s a beep and you are not immediately sent back, everything turned out fine, you will be able to hatch this custom egg at the egg adoption menu once your current Tamagotchi has graduated!

If when trying to go to the egg adoption menu you are sent back, it means something probably went wrong.

If trying ta raise a custom character you get Nazotchi, it means the images are not formatted correctly.

So... due to me messing up the pausing somehow, Bert already left his little girl (whom I named Naomi, who became a little Puchitchi already) while Ernie is still staying with his son o.o I'm planning on having Naomi become a Maidtchi - so she's having lots of fish for meal and ice cream as dessert for now ^^

Little Chuck evolved into Kutchitamatchi today! ^_________________^ Haven't had one since... I think since I got my first P1 which must've been like, 10 years ago! Aww... He and Naomi have seen each other a couple of times so far, but still got only one smiley on each other's Friends list. Doesn't matter. Got plenty of time to change that ^^ EDIT: Naomi evolved into Ringotchi! Yay! She's so adorable ^^ Gonna change her menu now from fish and ice cream to donuts... a hell lot of donuts... and losing the weight they make her put on with playing Dance :) Gonna make dolls of her and her not-so-soon-to-be hubby as soon as he evolved as well ^^

Chuck evolved into Daiyatchi ^___^ I'm not sure if I'll focus on Gorgeous or Spirit skill points now - we'll see! ^^ Dolls of him and Naomi will follow soon! EDIT: I ignored the mails Chuck got (like usually *lol*) and therefor didn't pay any attention the the kindergarten graduation mail as well... so he opened it by himself and just went to his nanny w/o me doing anything except pressing B when seeing the Away screen o.O Woah... those V4.5 are funny, his dad Ernie once was called to fight a fire via [!] mail! Pretty realistic *nod nod*

Awww, Naomi and Chuck both have 4 Smiley's on each other's friends list now ^_____________^ And since it's December, whenever one visits the other to bring him a present, they're hanging around in living room, next to a pretty Xmas tree and a fireplace ^^ Young love... However, I promised it and here they are - Chuck and Naomi as dolls ^^

EDIT: Naomi just evolved into Maidtchi! ^_____________________^ EDIT²: omfg, she just gave Chuck his first (most likely illegal?) kiss! Like, he's still a teenager while she's already an adult. He visited her to give her a present, they stood in front of the fireplace in her living room and all of the sudden she kissed him and a little heart popped up above them! I immediatly checked both friends lists - and Naomi still has four smileys on Chuck's flist, but Chuck already has 4 hearts on Naomi's list! I wonder if that's possible because she's a V4 and he's a V4.5 so he appears as Nazotchi on her screen and maybe therefor she wouldn't know how old he is o.o ... I wonder if that would work if one of them is still a toddler while the other one's an adult... quite interesting, quite interesting, and first of all quite creepy somehow... Anyways, seems as if I have to be pretty careful about them visiting each other as soon as he's an adult as well (why is there nothing like a tamagotchi pill or a tamagotchi condom so u can enjoy their lovey dovey stuff w/o having them breed all of the sudden? o.O). I dunno how the "both have to be adults for at least 24h each" rule applies under those circumstances and I don't plan on having them breed before they're oldtimers...

So... Chuck evolved as well yesterday and became Ura-Togetchi. I was hoping for Ura-Kutchipatchi, but whatever. Seems I still have to figure out how to get that one o.O (don't tell me Ura-Kutchipatchi is a character u receive for good care nowadays). Naomi graduated from school, but somehow she didn't receive any job offers so far :(

Both already met a couple times after Chuck became an adult and he already fell in love right after the first time he saw her ^_^ Guess he now finally got what her kisses back then meant... young love... awwww... Poor folks, they have no idea they won't see each other for quite a while now ;(

Okay, it's been quite a while now since my last post, I know ^^' So... what happened since then? Naomi finally got her job offers and decided for a career as hair stylist, but somehow all her customers ended up being unhappy sooner or later, so she quit and became a news reader ^^ Chuck is working in a bakery and seems to be really happy with that ^^ Today I forgot to pause them when going to work, so they were all by themselves for 9(!) hours... somewhere along these 9 hours Naomi evolved into Otokitchi. Finally. She went to Chuck for a visit, but apparently he's not into older folks and she's not into younger guys anymore - their 4 hearts on each other's friends list were immediatly replaced by smileys :/ That's everything so far. By tomorrow Chuck should evolve into Ojitchi. Let's see if that can lighten the spark of their love again ;]

So... before the Xmas break Chuck and Naomi finally mated after Chuck evolved into Ojitchi and became parents of two lovely little boys I named Drew (V4) and Leo (V4.5) - who just in this very moment evolved into Oyajitchis ~ Here is a pic of Naomi and little Drew visiting New York City ^^
