#maple the entama

bath time with young mametchi on the 2024 connection vs the entama. the steam lines are different and you can rly notice the difference in contrast. (the Entama has a different tub than the Keitai/V3 to begin with so I'm not counting that as a difference since it's to be expected)

i got my keitai and entama to connect! at first it wasn’t working bc i was selecting the option i used to connect my keitai to my v3, but i actually needed to select the option above that. once i did that they connected with no problem! since nikatchi is available on the entama, lilac appeared as herself rather than nazotchi! together they played a game that actually detracted points from the loser to give to the winner, and also gave each other gifts! lilac visited maple 4 times, 2 of which i recorded. the times i didn’t record, she gave maple a flower and a heart. the times i DID record, she gave him a fly that made him upset. it’s as if she could sense i was recording, lmao. 

here are maple and lilac on each other’s friends lists, as well as all the virtual pets i currently have running! i like the face rose is making here, lol. 

also some exciting news! i was able to find a working website for the enwarehouse, which lets you get items for the entama (and uratama) at the click of a button, including skill/GUTs points, gotchi points, and even items that were exclusive to the now-defunct tamatown/e-tamago! i’ve gotten a few items from it so far, and you can even get matchmaker cards that allow you to get exclusive “hatena group” characters that you could previously only get using e-tamago! sometime i want to try that out but right now i’m hopefully trying to get zukyutchi (the normal form of my first ever tama, ura zukyutchi)

Maple is a dad to a baby mamezoku boy! his partner was sebiretchi. I had just been eating a chocolate bunny and in my excitement didn't notice there was chocolate on my tama till AFTER I took a video of it so please ignore that 🤡

I should've double checked the marriage combinations for the tama groups beforehand since I was initially confused seeing a mamezoku baby. I'm not mad tho since this gives me a chance to get robotchi/androtchi for the first time which I'm excited for.

here’s a video of maple playing with some hacky sacks(?) also maple got a letter earlier and got 200p taken, not by a thief but the points just lifted away. I wish I could translate what the letter said so I knew what that was about.

maple taking a bath the night before he left, the same time as ivy:

when i was around halfway through rummaging around the attic the other day i came downstairs and noticed the baby was sick. my phone was in the attic so i brought my tamas upstairs to take a pic and keep an eye on them.

Maple graduated school! now it's time to apply for a job. the jobs it shows are all for the style category, which is the category zukyutchi is in. the ?s are ones unlockable via job coupons. I had maple apply for a job as a flower shop salesman, and he got the job! the tama king presented maple with a watering can for his job.

unfortunately the entama doesn’t have job minigames like the connections have, and how well you do at your job depends on how much you build up your skill points for that respective job. the item you get for your job can be used and it gives you a skill point. probably my new least favorite part about the entama since i liked the job minigames on the connections, but the added scenes of tamas being enrolled in and graduating from school are fun.

maple’s tooth brushing and bathing animations. he and lilac bathed and brushed their teeth at the same time last night!

Lilac visiting Maple. she's visited him since he was a toddler and she was a teen, and now they're both adults and tonight she says goodbye to her baby. she finally gave Maple a nice gift after several tries lol. they played two games together: Lilac won the first one, then Maple won the second game and won back some of his points that he lost in the first game. 

the fifth pic is one i took the night before Maple evolved, since I knew he’d show up as nazotchi on the keitai after evolving into zukyutchi. it’s rare both of my tamas show up on different systems so i wanted to capture that. the final pic is all the virtual pets i was running at the time: maple, lilac, her baby, and rose.

I let maple play with some of the items he got for tama school, and his animation for the microphone(?) is different than before! here he is playing with some more items, too. the animation for the drum on the entama actually plays a little tune, as opposed to the trumpet on the keitai which is silent.

Maple evolved into zukyutchi, the tama I was trying for!  zukyutchi is the non-ura form of ura zukyutchi, who holds the special place in my heart of being my first ever adult tama. I've never gotten her since, and seeing zukyutchi is bringing back all these memories of her 🥺💖

Maple evolved immediately after waking up and got points right afterwards, instead of getting them when he enrolled in a new school like before. he also hasn't graduated yet.

maple’s bedtime routine! the tub has a face on it, similar to the one from the music star! I think that's such a cute detail. i didn’t catch him brushing his teeth the night before but i did the next morning. 

also, here he is playing with an airplane toy! plus some tama mail stories under the cut. 

I can't read the mail messages so I'm not sure what it said, but maple got mail and it made him cry. it didn't drain his happiness or anything. I wonder if it has to do with me accidentally letting his hearts get half empty when I was shopping earlier that day. then later that night i set the clock back bc he accidentally fell asleep w an empty hunger heart, saw I had new mail again so I opened it up. was unaware the gotchi point thief still appeared in this game and he stole 300p, which took down a happy heart. definitely not what happened earlier, but this made maple cry too. poor guy isn't having a good day with mail. since the thief still exists, I wonder if that means the king can also give you points in the mail? or even the occasional gift too like on the connections?

on the flip side of maple getting mail that made him cry, after he evolved into an adult he got mail that made him do a happy dance with the sound effect that plays when you complete a game.

lilac visiting maple soon after she evolved into memetchi, then both of them visiting each other after maple evolved into young mametchi. usually when i connect my tamas, either one or both of them appear as nazotchi. i think this is the first time both my tamas have appeared on the other system so they both show up as themselves, no nazotchi needed! unfortunately this won’t last when maple is an adult, since i’m trying for zukyutchi and he isn’t on the keitai. i actually wonder how mametchi from the entama would show up on the keitai and vice versa, since he IS on both the entama and the keitai, but has the old design on the keitai.

maple took a placement test, then got assigned to have ms. flower as his teacher! the next morning he went to school for the first time and won! unfortunately the next two times he went to school i wasn’t sure how to play the guessing game (idk if it’s purely guessing or if you can tell where the icon is by watching the screen like the connections).

maple evolved from preschool then immediately evolved into young mametchi! here he is normally and some stills of his up-close animation. i also took pics of him playing with the two items he was given for school, and after he plays with them he does the cute animation seen in the final pic while a cool tune plays.

Maple jumping on a trampoline! he did a celebration animation when he was done playing. there's a "1" next to all the items and I wasn't sure if it indicated I own 1 of them or if it's single use, but after using the item it still appears in my inventory. he only used the trampoline for a few seconds before stopping, unlike the keitai which lets you use most items for quite a while before it stops. here he is playing with a couple other items too, a dragon and a panda. also here’s a clip of preschool on the entama. it’s cool hearing the typical tune in a different pitch. 

i got curious about what this screen says and attempted to translate it:

i think it says: mamezoku, tamagotchi youchien (kindergarten). so it’s telling you his tama family and what school he’s enrolled in (and presumably, his job later on). after he evolved, the last two lines were replaced with question marks until he became enrolled in tamagotchi school. neat!

here’s maple’s normal animations as mamebotchi, including a funny in between frame. his C-click animation is the same as it was as mameotchi, where he just makes a few beeps. as i was trying to practice the games i kept feeding maple snacks so that he’d meet the basic weight requirement to play games and i accidentally gave him a toothache 😭 i’m sorry maple!

maple got sick, then evolved into mamebotchi! the discipline icon was replaced by a mail icon, which is lit up in the third pic. unlike the connections which display letters through pictures, the entama displays letters through text. he didn’t get points for evolving like on the keitai, but DID get 100 points right after enrolling in preschool. the mailbox is different on here than on the connections. 

instead of sending your tama to school at random times of your choice, the teacher actually comes to visit your tama at 3 set times throughout the day. the tama beeps, then ms frill talks with your tama until you press a button, then the same music note animations from the connections plays. 

this version of the entama was known for having hard games, so I was a little worried it might impact the skill points/GUTs points I can obtain. first one I tried was a card matching game and I won the game on my first try?! I just kept guessing cards diagonal from each other.  also, this one gave me 500 points for completing a game!! hell yeah, that's what I'm talking about!!

the second game reminds me a bit of the music note catching game from the keitai and v3. failed that since I was trying to avoid the poop (which makes you lose) but there was a falling garment I had to catch immediately above it that I didn't have a chance to grab. after a few tries i was able to finish it, though!

the third game is veeeery precise, you have to hit the button at just the right moment or else you lose. i haven’t been able to get past 17ish points on it as of right now.

some of lilac’s animations! her bathtime animation, bedtime animation, tantrum animation, and pouting animation. she started pouting soon after i started taking care of maple so i took it as a sign she was jealous of him lol. i felt bad though bc afterwards she got sick from it 🥺 this is the first time she’s gotten sick from not being disciplined.. poor lilac.
