NAYOMIght Want To Bring These To Your Glamping Trip

I’ve mentioned in my Packing For Glamping video that I’ll be sharing another blog post about Nayomi Sanctuary Resort where I’ll be sharing our experiences and all the things we forgot to bring for our quick glamping trip. :) 

So here it goes... 

I looooveeee Nayomi Sanctuary Resort. The place is nice, cute, quiet and relaxing. Customer services is amazing; they have a friendly and accommodating staff that provide your requests as soon as you text them. :) 

Yes, you read that right. TEXT. Upon check in, they will give you a cellphone that you will use during the duration of your stay since they don’t have regular telephones inside the tents. Text them your requests and your location and you’ll get them after a few minutes. :)

Everything was nice and perfect except for the following: 

1. Lights out at 10PM. When the clock strikes 10 in the evening, you’ll be asked to turn off the lights outside your tent; thus, the remaining light you’ll have is the small lamp provided inside the tent. There isn’t much you can do if it’s dark, you know. We played card games under our cellphones’ light after the battery of Jaq’s flashlight was drained. It’s also pretty scary to go outside the tent too when it’s already dark. :) 

2. Bring your own water jugs/bottles. You could easily request for water from their staff via text but services at 8PM or 10PM? So, if you get thirsty at night... i-tulog mo nalang. Haha! Hopefully, Nayomi can provide a pitcher of water in the tent for their guests at night. :) 

3. INSECTS! There are are so many of them. There were a lot of big ants, mosquitoes and other unknown creatures. Some of them even go inside the tent and it’s quite hard to get them out once they’ve already entered the premises. 

The lady in the photo with me (Jaq) is the person who is by far more prepared than I’ll ever be in terms of packing. Hahaha! She brought a thermos for hot water, water jug, a battery operated flashlight, an extra pillow and a blanket. Hahaha! I was teasing here in my Nayomi Sanctuary Resort video, but she came in prepared for the right reasons! :) 

And, after the “Packing for Glamping” video I posted on my youtube channel, here are the things I forgot or should have brought with me for that trip!

1. Chargeable lights that can either be hanged or can stand on its own. Bring at least 2 if you’re also planning to use it outdoors. :) 

2. Water 

3. Snacks: Chips, Cookies, Etc. :) - We thought we couldn’t bring in food because it was stated in their rules but I think what they really meant was to not bring MEALS (kanin, ulam, ganern). They don’t have a convenience store inside where you can buy your snacks so it would be nice to bring some too. :) As for the meals, their restaurant’s food is actually really good and not as expensive as how other resorts price their meals. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from their food because resorts usually serve expensive yet crappy food since their guests don’t have any choice anyway. HAHAHA! But, that’s not the case with Nayomi Resort. Their food is restaurant quality good and reasonably priced too. Price range of their menu is between Php150 - Php600. The most expensive one, which is priced at Php600.00 is already their bulalo. Most of the meals are on the average of Php200 - Php380 only. :) 

4. Electric Fan! Hahaha! I know this may sound like overpacking, but if it can still fit your car, I suggest you bring an extra portable fan with you since  they only provide one electric fan inside the tent. This will depend on the season of course, but it can be pretty hot inside especially during mid morning to afternoon. :) 

5. I brought these with me but just to make sure you guys wouldn’t forget (because it’s really important), I’m also going to include them on my list again: TOILETRIES! They only provide towels and toilet paper. :) No shampoo, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc. so make sure you bring them because these are basic necessities for overnight stays. :) 

The price of our stay was pretty decent too. They had a promo when we booked our trip so our overnight stay at a tent (that’s good for 6 people, btw) was only Php5,800.00! Breakfast for 6 people was also included in the package. Sobrang sulit! :) Their tapa was not available during our stay so we ordered tocino, corned beef and longganisa... AND, I highly recommend you guys to get their longganisa! It’s the best choice among the 3 that we ordered. :)

Overall, I highly recommend Nayomi Sanctuary Resort. First, because it's a nice and unique experience to go glamping. Second, the place is beautiful so it's really worth visiting. And third, the service is superb. :) The insects are my only main concern but I guess that's part of the outdoor experience. It wouldn't be camping without them. :D
