I have this headcannon floating around in my head that Francis York/Zach Morgan and Naomi Hayward are cousins. Specifically that Naomi's family took in Morgan after the death of his parents.

My reasons for this are two fold. The first is that I 100% believe that these two games could take place in the same universe. Both games feature heavily eccentric characters that are the norm. Both games feature mysterious small town settings where everything's not quite right and yet that is deemed rather normal to the mc. Both games feature shapeshifting in some way. Also everyone wants to give you tedious side quests all the time. I also really want to believe the Queen of England is an eldritch beast incapable of dying.

My second reason is that Morgan fully accepts, understands and embraces his eccentricities. The york/zach dynamic is not something he attempts to hide from the people around him. He's just a weird guy in general. Similarly Naomi can directly interact with the Narrator and somehow managed to get into a deeply unhinged amount of debt for a photographer who works for a newspaper. My point being she's also pretty weird in general. Both characters are capable of going off to bumfuck nowhere to go investigate with little to no issues, both characters are likely to help people when asked, they both have an eye (however questionable it may be) for fashion and they both clearly came from somewhere where they weren't bullied or shamed for who they were.

Its for these reasons I reckon they could easily be both related and raised in the same environment.
