Algar do Carvão is located in the heart of island of Terceira and it’s an ancient lava tube.  Algar do  Carvão, literally means “Cave of Burnt”, even though the  mounth of the cone is now covered by plants. This volcano vent is 90m deep and 100m long and the first time someone explored was in 1893. The origin of Algar do Carvão is dated back to over 2100 years ago.

The Grand Prismatic Hot Spring in Yellowstone National Park is the one of largest and most dangerous hot springs in the world. . The hot spring has bright bands of orange, yellow, and green ring the deep blue waters in the spring. The multicolored layers get their hues from different species of thermophile (heat-loving) bacteria living in the progressively cooler water around the spring. And the deep blue center? That’s because water scatters the blue wavelengths of light more than others, reflecting blues back to our eyes. . Krajinou písečných dun a borovic

Výzva 21 Malých radostí pro KPZkoALICI. Příběh 18/21.

V příjemně chladném podvečeru se noříme do lesa tam, kde to vypadá aspoň trochu jako cesta. Nohy se boří v bílém písku a po čase si všímám, jak je to úplně jiný prožitek chůze i krajiny. Tak odlišné od toho, co znám. 

Jsme na pobřeží centrálního Portugalska, kousek od městečka Sao Jacinto. Dlouhý výběžek tvoří poloostrov. Z jedné strany jej omývá oceán a z druhé delta řeky Aveiro. Je to krajina písečných dun, borovicových hájů a litorálních společenstev. Moc lidí tu nepotkáte.

Krajina je jednoduchá a mohla by se zdát až fádní. Žádné dechberoucí výhledy do hor a kopců. Všude jen bílý písek, řídký porost vysokých borovic i neprostupné nízké kleče. Trávy a sukulenty. Poutníka to vede k větší všímavosti k detailům. Pozoruji struktury. Kolik tu je druhů trav a rostlin rozličných tvarů a barev. Často jsou nenápadné, ale mnohé z nich kvetou a jejich drobné kvítky mají zářivé barvy žluté, bílé i šarlatové. Bez přestání fouká vítr a stébla trav v něm jemně tančí. V písku leží větve vybělené od slunce. Jako kosti mrtvých v kontrastu se sytě zelenými sukulenty, lasturami a ulitami. Radim objeví dokonce i strašilku, která dokonale splývá s prostředím. Čím delší dobu krajinou jdeme, tím víc mě její detaily začínají fascinovat. 

Chtěli bychom dojít až k oceánu, ale připozdívá se a Míša se proměňuje z Amazonky v Princeznu. Kňourá, že jí bolí nožičky, že je jí zima, že už jí to nebaví, že má hlad a že chce okamžitě do kempu. Dnes tedy oceán už neuvidíme, ale zítra je taky den. Teď nás zachrání jedině paní Jezevcová. Je to příběh moudré paní Jezevcové, která bydlí v noře pod velikou horou. Každou neděli chodí na výlet a cestou potkává spoustu zvířecích přátel. Včetně malého kocourka Lulu, který chce jít na kopec s ní. Jenže se bojí, že to nedokáže, protože je na to moc malý. A právě paní Jezevcová mu pomůže jeho přesvědčení překonat… Krásný mentorský příběh, který můžete rozvíjet dál a dál a dál… až nakonec, celí umluvení, do svého cíle šťastně dojdete.

The Sao Jacinto Dunes Nature Reserve - Přírodní rezervace byla založena v roce 1979, aby sloužila k ochraně vzácných a pestrých společenstev písečných dun. Území velké 960 ha sahá od města Ovar až k Sao Jacinto a zahrnuje i 210 ha mořské rezervace. Je to důležité území s vegetací dun i lesa. V 80. letech zde byla vybudována řada jezírek jako útočiště pro vodní ptáky, zejména kachny. Je to jedna ze 30 rezervací v Portugalsku.

Pokud tě láká oblast centrálního Portugalska, Sao Jacinto je dobrý výchozí bod. Nám sloužil jako základna liduprázdný kemp v borovicovém háji. Odtud je to kousek na průzkumy přírodní rezervace, do Sao Jacinto, ale lodí i do Aveira a delty Ria Aveiro, případně do Porta. V Sao Jacinto najdeš nekonečnou pláž s bílým pískem a divokým oceánem. Celá oblast je nádherná a nabízí stovky stezek pro pěší i pro cyklisty.

✨Trekking Lover✨ Uno dei luoghi da visitare assolutamente se, come me, amate la natura ed il trekking, è sicuramente la Riserva Fiume Ciane e Saline di Siracusa🌳 Istituita nel 1984, è volta alla salvaguardia del papiro lungo il corso del fiume Ciane e alla conservazione dell'ambiente delle "Saline". Le Saline di Siracusa furono in attività dal Seicento e fino agli anni Ottanta, quindi vennero abbandonate per la crisi del settore. Attualmente vi giungono, due volte l'anno, uccelli migratori per rifocillarsi e sostare, come i bellissimi fenicotteri 🦩 . This teenager teasing his baby brother goes for anyone growing up in a family where someone is taller than the other family members. The response as well. African bush elephant (Loxodonta africana) are very social and intelligent, living in large herds led by a female matriarch and her court of adult females. The rest of the herd are made up by their offspring of various ages. The male elephants lives in smaller male only herds or lives a more single like life after reaching adulthood at 12-18 years of age. Unless they are courting a female from one of the family groups. Across the groups, these elephants also makes clans, adding to an intricate family and social hierarchy system. Liwonde National Park in Malawi is a giant (...) success in conserving the african elephant.
