Homemade mouthwash recipes to maintain optimum oral health
The gritty texture of salt can scrape away minor stains on teeth, while this combination stimulates saliva to disinfect your mouth. Similarly, the commodities in your kitchen offer varied therapeutic effects, as seen below:
Turmeric has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.
Lemon has antibacterial qualities.
Clove possesses remineralizing effects.
Essential oils have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory qualities.
Aloe Vera Water: Numbing qualities
Apple Cider Vinegar - Natural pH Neutralizer
1) Lemon water mouthwash
Squeeze the lemon to obtain the juice. Add it to the heated water and mix thoroughly.
Now swish this solution in your mouth for 60 seconds before spitting it out.
2) Turmeric Mouthwash
Soak the cloves in water for a couple of hours. Remove the cloves and combine the other ingredients with the water. Mix it thoroughly and gargle your mouth with the solution.
3) Parsley and Mint Mouthwash
Mix the 2 tsp finely chopped parsley leaves, 2 tsp mint in a mixer for about 2 minutes. Take the mixture and place it in a clean cloth. To extract the juice, cover and press tightly. Swish your mouth with the fluid.
4) Minty Clove Mouthwash
Boil cinnamon powder, cloves, and peppermint essential oil in water for around ten minutes. Now filter the liquid to eliminate any residues and let it cool. Pour this mouthwash into a reusable jar and store it in the refrigerator.
5) Aloe Vera Mouthwash
Place1/2 cup Aloe vera juice, 1/2 cup distilled water, 3 drops of essential oil, 1 1/2 tsp baking soda in a tight container and shake vigorously until the baking soda dissolves completely in the fluids. Store the combination in a reusable jar and swish it in your mouth once or twice daily.
6) Apple Cider Vinegar Mouthwash
Place  1 cup salt water, 2 tsp apple cider vinegar, Vanilla essential oil in a tight container and shake vigorously until the baking soda dissolves completely in the fluids. Store the combination in a reusable jar and swish it in your mouth once or twice daily.
Bottom line
Dentists recommend using antibacterial mouthwashes in addition to cleaning and flossing since they can reach areas that a toothbrush cannot. However, the chemical components of the fluid cause some mouth irritation. This is why natural mouthwashes attract attention.
Meanwhile, homemade mouthwashes have advantages such as natural components, may be customized to meet your specific needs, are less expensive, and so on.

How to Make a Natural Mouthwash to Improve Oral and Dental Health
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Using mouthwash can benefit your teeth and gums. But most products found in supermarkets and drugstores contain alcohol and chlorhexidine, which can turn the experience a little unpleasant and even affect the tooth enamel negatively. Besides, some products are tested on animals. One way of preventing animal cruelty, toxic additives, artificial preservatives, colorings, and the burning sensation is to make a natural mouthwash at home. Not to mention it is way cheaper! You can save money, help the environment, and avoid harmful substances, all at the same time.   Check out 2 recipes to Make a Natural Mouthwash to Improve Oral and Dental Health at home One of the most simple recipes is made with baking soda, tea tree, and peppermint essential oil. It combines the basic properties of baking soda with the bactericide action of peppermint oil and the antiseptic action of tea tree oil.   You will need to Make a Natural Mouthwash: One bottle with lid (preferably glass and sterilized) ½ cup of filtered or distilled water 2 teaspoons of baking soda 2 drops of tea tree essential oil 2 drops of peppermint essential oil Mix all ingredients together. Since baking soda tends to accumulate in the bottom of the bottle, always shake it before using it. Use two to three teaspoons and rinse your mouth for one or two minutes a week.   Another simple mouthwash recipe is the one with apple cider vinegar. Apple cider vinegar is a natural lightener that helps remove stains from cigarettes and coffee, besides making the gums healthier. You can even brush your teeth with ACV. Many dentists don't recommend apple cider vinegar since prolonged use can damage the teeth. It is important to dilute ACV in water to reduce the damage and avoid using it for long periods.   To make an apple cider vinegar mouthwash, you will need: 1 cup of water 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar 1 glass bottle Mix all ingredients together and pour into a glass bottle. Shake before using, then rinse your mouth with it. Do a second rinse with water to remove any residues of ACV from your mouth. So, did you like it? Why not try these recipes? everything.
When I woke up this morning and took a shower, I fished a travel bottle of mouth wash out of the bathroom closet and rinsed my mouth with it. It reminded me of a summer long ago, one with my mouth riddled with braces, picante chicken instant noodles, and the taste of mouthwash.
On a whim, after my shower, I walked through the nearby woods to the Shop 'n' Save to buy a packet of picante chicken instant noodles. Nothing was going to keep me from re-experiencing "Spicy Mouthwash Ramen".
On my way through the woods, I'd walked through one of my favorite places in my hometown--a clearing overgrown with wildflowers, specifically teasels. There's something about their shape that's so alluring and eerie. I'd discovered this clearing back right before the pandemic, back when we were both younger. We've both grown since then. What was once a somewhat-barren woods had grown into a lush wonderland for all the local plants.
In the store, I'd bought several packets of picante chicken instant noodles, alongside a can of miso soup, some cans of SpaghettiOs, and a cup of Campbell's chicken noodle sipping soup--something I hadn't indulged in since the autumn of 2017. I've bought it only for the nostalgia.
I also bought some licorice tea. To me, licorice tea feels like nostalgia. I can't explain it very well. It just does. There's no taste when you first sip it down, but once the tea water's rinsed down your throat, there's a melancholy sweet taste that rises in the back of your throat. I'd highly recommend it if you've never tried it.
Once I'd come back home, I swished some more mouthwash for that authentic "Spicy Mouthwash Ramen" experience, and sipped down the flavorful broth of my cheap noodle soup. (Seriously. I'm probably slowly killing myself with how much of it I eat.) I watched the Vinesauce video where the guy plays RollerCoaster Tycoon--because watching people build stupid mazes, G-force maximizers, and phallic structures is always funny. Also because that video specifically is associated with that very specific memory of "Spicy Mouthwash Ramen" I'd formed years ago.
And the ramen doesn't taste *bad* with the hint of artificially-minty mouthwash lingering in your mouth. It adds to the flavor, somehow. I've spent some time today brainstorming how one could actually prepare that flavor--sans mouthwash.
Then I'd spent some time looking at Google Street View. Not to brag, but I've got over 100,000 views on my Street View 360 photos--specifically one I took in a dying mall back in 2019. I still remember taking that picture--without a dedicated 360 camera, it was tricky using my phone to capture all the angles of the area. It was worth it, though.
I dropped the little yellow lad in front of my own home and scrolled to the oldest photos available. Again, there's something intensely nostalgic about how fuzzy these images are and how cold the tree-covered sky looks within this 360 window into the past.
After that short trip, I'd continued work on my game. After days on end of making little to no progress programming wise, I'm happy to say that we're back in business now!
Today was dedicated to setting up the player's attack structure. How it'll work is that every time the player wants to attack, a new object that's programmed to manage that attack is created, and is put in charge of moving the player around and tracking how much damage the attack should do for pre-defined timing windows.
I'm really proud of the system so far. It's not much, but it's progress. And on a journey of a thousand steps, every step matters. This is probably somewhere around step 53 or something--I'm still just beginning, but this is where I start to pick up steam. The hardest part when making a new game is developing the frameworks for everything. Once you've got systems to easily create new attacks and such, the process shifts from programming-oriented stuff more towards story, graphics, and music-related stuff.
Today I also started playing a game called Balatro. It's a game I've had my eye on for a while, and I finally bought it today. Simply put, it's a poker game where you play hands to build up multipliers to beat levels and get money. It's really complicated--you'd have to watch someone or play it yourself to fully understand it. It's also wicked fun. I'm kind of frustrated with how fun it is. It's too fun watching numbers go up and shit.
Finally, earlier this evening, I'd run out to pick up presents for upcoming celebrations (my brother's birthday and Father's Day). While buying them books from Half Price Books (by the way, shop there! Books are stupid cheap used!), I came across a textbook on Modern Algebra and the mathematics of soccer.
Of course, being the nerd I am, I scooped them up without hesitation.
Looking forward to studying ring theory and that garbage!
...
And now here I am.
Typing out a summary of my day today.
Because it was too hard to pick just one part and focus on it.
I don't know.
I start my internship next week. I'm not exactly looking forward to it, but I suppose it's better than doing nothing all summer.
Other than that, though, I'm looking forwards to the future. Lots of highly anticipated games coming soon, like World of Goo 2 and UFO 50.
My own game is something else I'm excited for.
I will finish something this time.
I can't wait for all of you guys to play it.
...
Anyway, see you all later!

DentaTonic Supplements: A Natural Ally for Stronger Teeth and Gums
Maintaining optimal oral health has always been a priority for me. However, with age, I noticed my gums becoming more sensitive and prone to occasional bleeding. Seeking a natural solution, I decided to try DentaTonic supplements, and I'm impressed with the positive impact they've had on my oral health.
Tumblr media
Strengthening Gums and Reducing Sensitivity
The most noticeable change I've experienced is a significant improvement in gum health. My gums feel firmer and less prone to bleeding, even when flossing. This has led to a reduction in sensitivity, making brushing and flossing a more comfortable experience.
A Natural Approach to Oral Health
What drew me to DentaTonic is its natural formulation. The blend of enzymes and proteins, including lactoperoxidase, aims to strengthen the body's natural oral defenses without relying on harsh chemicals. This natural approach aligns with my preference for avoiding unnecessary additives in my supplements.
Convenient Dosage and Long-Term Benefits
DentaTonic comes in easy-to-swallow capsules, making daily intake convenient and effortless. While results may vary, I've noticed a positive change within a few months of consistent use. I believe continued use will further enhance my oral health and potentially prevent future gum problems.
Tumblr media
A Renewed Confidence in My Smile
The improvement in my gum health has boosted my confidence when smiling and interacting with others. I no longer feel self-conscious about occasional gum bleeding, and my overall oral health feels more balanced and resilient.
Tumblr media
It's important to note that while DentaTonic appears safe, consulting with a dentist before starting any new supplement is always recommended. However, based on my personal experience, I highly recommend DentaTonic to anyone seeking a natural and effective way to support their gum health. It has become a valuable addition to my oral care routine, and I believe it can offer similar benefits to others seeking a holistic approach to maintaining a healthy smile.

He had to be quick and sleek.
It was early in the morning, just some time before your alarm clock would ring. It was the sunrays that woke 𝐘𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐞! 𝟏𝟗𝟓𝟎’𝐬! 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐡𝐮𝐬𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝 up, bringing him back into the heaven on Earth he has come to know by your side. It’s a little trick he does the night before by leaving the curtains slightly open, since he couldn’t set an alarm clock himself.
You can’t know his little secret.
So with one look filled with tenderness and love thrown at you, under the cloak of the early hours and shielded by you sleeping like a rock, 𝐘𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐞! 𝟏𝟗𝟓𝟎’𝐬! 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐡𝐮𝐬𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝 sneaked out of your warm, shared bed.
He shivered, feeling cold only wearing his nylon*, frilly nightwear. Goosebumps appeared on his skin which he currently had no time to take care of.
"The winter is coming alright." 𝐘𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐞! 𝟏𝟗𝟓𝟎’𝐬! 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐡𝐮𝐬𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝 thought, noticing how the windows in their bedroom frosted. He made a mental note to turn on the central heating as soon as go downstairs. But that’s for later, for now he carefully maneuvered his way to the bathroom right by your bedroom.
The magic happened after he quietly closed the door, for now separating you from him. Left alone, 𝐘𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐞! 𝟏𝟗𝟓𝟎’𝐬! 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐡𝐮𝐬𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝 began to make himself presentable for you.
Starting with a cap of strong mouthwash, he then moved on to brushing his teeth so that his breath won’t stink and his teeth will continue to be clean and white. Then, he deeply cleaned his face of any leftover night creams he applied shortly after you fell asleep the previous night and applied a finish lotion. A dash of makeup on his eyelids, cheeks and lips so it’ll look natural. Then he proceeded to free his hair of curlers and brush through them until they laid into a certain hairstyle he always wore. And lastly, a few pumps of the perfume you gave him for his birthday. (He simply adores your choice of scent and never fails to wear it with pride)
Before walking out, 𝐘𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐞! 𝟏𝟗𝟓𝟎’𝐬! 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐡𝐮𝐬𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝 took a moment to take a look at himself one last time. Anyone would say that his reflection showed a perfect image of the househusband you could often see in the magazines. Yet, the only opinion that mattered to him was yours.
Everything he did – created and keeps creating – is for you. Only you. And he will gladly continue to do so for as long as you live.
With that, just like he left, 𝐘𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐞! 𝟏𝟗𝟓𝟎’𝐬! 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐡𝐮𝐬𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝 re-entered your bedroom. Now after his morning routine, looking fresh and all pretty, his appearance was anything but a person who just woke up. He looked beautiful but at the same time, unreal. Unnaturally beautiful...
Swiftly, yet gracefully so that you wouldn't wake up before the alarm clock, he climbed back on your bed. Quickly, he adjusted the sheets around him, laid down on his side so that his back was turned towards you and took a deep breath, before finally closing his eyes.
Riiing! Riiing! Riiing!
The sound of your alarm clock rang precisely at 6:00 A.M. Blaring sound ripped away the peaceful silence and slowly aroused you from your deep sleep. 𝐘𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐞! 𝟏𝟗𝟓𝟎’𝐬! 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐡𝐮𝐬𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝 had to refrain from smirking, as he felt the bed shift behind him. You were awake!
And that meant one thing…
Seconds later, just like everyday, he felt your lips plant a sweet kiss on his cheek. A soft smile appeared on his face instead and a soft plush appeared under the blush he had applied. 𝐘𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐞! 𝟏𝟗𝟓𝟎’𝐬! 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐡𝐮𝐬𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝 ‘woke up’ to your kiss, fluttering his eyes open. Much to his heart's joy, his gaze connected with yours.
Your face was something he always wanted to wake up to. Your eyes were still sleepy, your face so lovely to look at and your hair all messy. In those mornings, you could just be you. His to admire, to touch, to experience.
His, his, his…
"Good morning, sweetheart." Your raspy voice broke him out of the daze he fell into. 𝐘𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐞! 𝟏𝟗𝟓𝟎’𝐬! 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐡𝐮𝐬𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝 eyes burned with love for you, gazing up at you like you were the only person existing in this world. He lifted his perfectly manicured and soft hand, placing it on your cheek and rubbing it affectionately.
"Good morning, darling." 𝐘𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐞! 𝟏𝟗𝟓𝟎’𝐬! 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐡𝐮𝐬𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝 sent you his signature million dollar worth smile.
"Is it me or are you getting even more devine day after day?"
Yes, it was the beginning of another perfect day.

Creating Villains and Monsters (dark fic)
Human Villains
Serial killer, cruel despot, sexual sadist, religious fanatic, playground bully or a hypocritical schemer.
Cliches to Avoid
a villain who is pur evil with no redeeming qualities
the villain who is evil without real reason
hot stinking breath
manical laughter
Motivation
"Because he is evil" is not a sufficient answer.
Give him ambition, a twisted worldview, a twisted past, an obsession that drive him forward with some logic, not blind bloodlust.
Depth
A complex villain adds emotional power and depth to the story.
He has a genuine good side, and may even be up for redemption...but doesn't choose this path.
Draw similarities between the evil and the hero. They may come from the same background, skills or even the same cause - but they have different ethical standards.
Show the hero struggling against the evil streaks in his nature, and the villain fighting the good streak in his.
Describing the Villain
Smiles: make them chilling by using detail. - his lips curved and bared teeth. - the corners of her mouth turned up, but the smile did not reach her eyes.
Voice: compare the voice to something unpleasant. - his voice sounded like a dentist's drill - he spoke with the coldness of a ... - his voice had the ... tone of a ... - his voice was as sharp as a ...
Eyes: compare the color to something unpleasant - as dark and murky as a stagnant pond - as piercing as a pair of daggers - glinting like steel blades - the color of frostbite
Smell: insert a detail about how the villain smells when they approach the POV character - peppermint mouthwash and aftershave - beer and stale sweat - garlic and axle-grease
Hands: describe the texture of this hands, and the shape of their nails.
Monsters
Invite the reader to feel pity for the monster by giving it a motivation that readers can understand on a human level - for example, to protect is young, or break its loneliness.
Reveal Bit By Bit
The issue with inducing horror with monsters is that once the reader has seen it, it no longer has the same chilling effect.
Show a different part each time, and delay the full view for as long as possible. Perhaps it can only be heard first, then the smell.
Keep It Plausible
If the monster is a beast of imagination, plausibility is another challenge.
How did it come into existenc?
A prehistoric animal, survived or recreated.
A mythological creature
A new species from faraway lands
A real animal infected with a new disease
A ruthless government ran a program for new monsters
A mutation occurred, resulting in a monster.
A major plausibility factor is size. Just times 4x a normal animal wouldn't be palusible, since their skeleton won't be able to hold the weight.
Outsize flying creatures are also not likely. Water creates can plausibly have enormous sizes.

Did you know: You can brush your teeth at any time of the day! Try brushing for 1 minute next time you're in the bathroom.
If showers are hard for you, try wiping your body down with baby wipes instead!
Dry hands every time you wash them? Apply extra lotion to your wrists and forearms. After washing, wet your wrists and rub the lotion down your hands! Pat dry.
In a pinch, a little Icy Hot can help ground you during an episode or meltdown. Apply a little to your arm and focus on the sensation
Dysmorphia, dysphoria, or self-esteem impairing your bodily hygiene? Try bathing in dim lighting (lights off might not be safe!) to impair your body issues back!
You're literally so cool (:
Struggling with oral hygiene because of spoons? Any little bit counts, even if you can't do the whole routine. Just swishing mouthwash or brushing without paste still helps!
Pro tip: everything is a stim tool. All you have to do is stim with it
Foster hydration by having a mini-fridge full of water next in your leisure area or bedroom. You can even add flavorings!
Did you know? The more similar to us we think someone is, the more we favor them-- You are psychologically predisposed to love yourself!
Biophilia refers to the natural affinity for... well... nature. Empirical data shows that humans fare better when exposed to imagery of nature. Harness these effects for yourself by opening windows or displaying rocks!
Noise-cancelling headphones are your best. friend.
the abolition of capitalism is the only way to make things right for this planet and all its inhabitants
