Lilyka Announces Limited Physical Sale of Yuri Comedy ‘Love to-LIE-Angle’

On June 12, Yuri publishers Lilyka Manga,a Yuri imprint of Digital Manga Inc. announced its first ever physical publication. The imprint is doing a limited printing of Merryhachi’s fan-service comedy series Love to-LIE-Angle (Tachibanakan To Lie Angle). The book is a physical only release (no digital copies available) and includes a 25% discount of Lilyka’s online store for any order including the book this week only.

The publisher describes the manga:

After moving back to her hometown, Natsuno Hanabi is ready to start high school and excited to be living in Tachibana Mansion, a luxurious mansion-style dormitory. However, due to some complications, she winds up at run-down but lively Tachibana House…and finds herself stuck between her childhood friend and a mysterious beauty. Will this love triangle define her high school experience?

The first volume of Love to-LIE-Angle was released by Digital Manga Inc. in 2017 but no further books were localized. On Twitter, Lilyka confirmed the possibility of other volumes being translated. The company will likly also use the sales of Love to-LIE-Angle to gauge interest in printed volumes. Until now, Lilyka manga released Yuri (mostly doujinshi) in digital formats only. Love to-Lie-Angle marks not only its first physical release.

Love to-LIE-Angle was serialized in Comic Yuri Hime from 2014 until April 2020. 7 volumes of the manga were published in Japan by Ichijinsha. An anime television adaptation of the series by Creators in Pack and Studio Lings aired in 2018 and is available for streaming with English subtitles on Crunchyroll.

Happy Birthday Kouki Uchiyama! (Aug 16)

Better late than never! Happy 29th birthday to Kouki Uchiyama! You would think he’s older because of the sheer number of roles he has. He seems to know some English (not sure of his proficiency). We can see it when he does an international message for Soul Eater, and his alma mater (high school) was a fancy international boarding school. He went to Waseda University and majored in cultural studies, and you can read a good summary of his biography here.
