Worked to the bone with nary a lift of the finger. My joys I wish to indulge but the dreadful mind says "no." Assignments urgently need to be finished but the body says "I'm tired." So now I become catatonic, never pursuing anything, even my greatest interest. I only watch those damned videos to pass time, never creating for myself. Those damned videos that tie me down as I let time pass without my interference. I scroll through countless posts and memes wishing I had the energy to do something more. But their words and false reassurance let me get by each day with less productivity. My greatest goal has been the same for a long time, greet the night and work/create. The first part is always achieved, but the second rarely occurs. Even worse, my mind wants to stay with the stars and moon with never an hour of meaningful sleep. Day in and day out, repetition becomes irresistible and laziness comes about. I have tried many times to change my ways but habits take longer to break than the energy I have lasts. I dream many things but my mind and body fight me, so I've resigned my life to monotony in hopes that I can build up creativity... but nothing comes. My joys of games, art, writing, and so much more are too hard to focus on. They often become more pain than pleasure and regret fills me as a part of what I love dies. The work I need finished is pushed past its due date and I mourn every second lost to a brain that refuses to focus. For my mind decides the ticking clock is loud, the light let in from the window too bright, the page I stare at is not as interesting as the feel of my pencil, the keyboard becomes irritatingly loud, the surrounding people are annoying and loud, the frame of my glasses distracts, a headache will happen daily and persist for a long time, and the silence is deafening enough that it is its own distraction. My psyche is scattered and a simple thought becomes complex concepts that I can never put into words. And even if I did, I have been trained my whole life to be silent and worry more about others than myself for I can supposedly will the way I feel by a military parent who taught his children two phrases that I still hold to despite knowing their harm. "The mind controls the body" a phrase common when I was sick for it made me more stubborn and less likely to admit how bad I felt. And the ever famous "Sticks and stones can hurt me but words cannot" rather ironic how that turned out. These two led to a boy who was and still is too stubborn to admit his feelings and bottle everything deep down. It did become too much at one point and I didn't properly deal with it then and I still don't know how to handle it. But that will be worked on in the future, this was a way to simply vent some of my frustrations. Also a wall of text because NationalPokedex#360
