Walking out of the hospital, we passed by this historical marker. I got curious of it i stopped before it and read what it says. This was for Mr. Joaquin Gonzalez. I skimmed through it and found out that it was his birthday today. With all the people passing by his marker it seems no one remember. regram @visitdetroit If you haven't witnessed the awe of #DiegoRivera's #Detroit Industrial Murals at the @diadetroit then you haven't lived. Located in the atrium of the DIA, these murals are at least two-stories tall and happen to be a #nationalhistoricallandmark which means they will always be around but the exhibit of Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo's time in Detroit as he painted these murals won't be. In fact, it's only around until July 12 so make your way to the DIA. Thanks for snapping this cool #depictthed photo @emmabantel. #visitdetroit
