“I’m fine.” Miles insists, rubbing his face slowly. “I’ve just got to get this shuttle back online then I can head home.” He fights a yawn and leans heavily against the panels of the craft, pausing in his work to orient himself again while he covered his mouth. “I should only be another hour or two.” After a moment he remembered himself. “But- thanks for the concern.” He reaches for his coffee mug to find it empty and decides it’s as good a time as any to stretch his legs and get a refill.

what  do  they  do  when  they  can’t  sleep   //   Often when this happens, she’ll turn the artificial gravity down or off completely. Floating seems to make falling asleep easier. Sometimes she’ll read or do work. Other times she’ll just drink herself to sleep. 

what  would  they  impulse  buy  at  the  grocery  store   //   Alcohol. Fresh, non-replicated food.

He wouldn’t be able to sleep anyway. He was a creature of routine these days and when he couldn’t check on his children he was restless and antsy. “One more cup of coffee, maybe a glass of water in between and I’ll be top shape.” He pulls his freshly filled mug from the replicator and sips at it while he returns to his seat in front of an open panel.
