I saw the trailer months ago, but never thought I’d actually get to see this short. It’s just as awesome as I hoped! It’s by the same guy behind the Scarygirl project (which I think will be adapted into a movie).

For generations the Face Changers have made the clay tokens that alter the winds and faces of their kin. This month the youngest is tasked to take the ten thousand footsteps to the top of the east mountain and engulf the town in the winds of change.

Character Design Inspirations #1
Tumblr media
Photo: Pictofolio: Pictoplasmas new home for characters and their creators
Today I started my course on Domestika  - Illustrated Character Design and World Creation with Nathan Jurevicius. This course jumped out at me as I am aware of the artist leading the course and his awesome work with Scarygirl and his Kidrobot character collections. At the start of the course he listed a bunch of his personal inspirations and influences and also a bunch of his personal projects and work that looks incredible. So I wanted to document them somewhere so I could work through them and return to them when I needed some inspiration too.

More Kozyndan & Nathan J. Artpins Release Tomorrow! Heads up, we've got two new Artpin Collection releases going live tomorrow (Tuesday, May 9) at 9:59am Central Time for $12 each... Bunnyfish, designed by Kozyndan, is a 1.25" tall hard enamel pin, produced in a limited edition of 160 (80 of each colorway). Another striking design by Kozyndan. Presented for the first time in the mid 2000's, the bunnyfish character appeared in numerous Kozyndan paintings. Its tales, as a painting, a crochet toy, and even as fan tattoos, were documented in a special scrap book released by the artists. Bunnyfish is finally available in a collectible pin format, in either blue or teal colorways, which can be displayed solo or together, or form a Pisces sign. Some cultures believe a rabbit’s foot brings luck. Other cultures believe luck comes from the head of a fish. This little fella lacks both. Good luck! Junction, designed by Nathan Jurevicius, ia a 1.25" tall hard enamel pin, limited edition of 210 (105 of each colorway). Based on ideas from his illustrated book  (published by Koyama Press) and short film of the same name, the pin displays the artist's unique style. http://rtfgi.co/artpin — @artpin_collection @lowbrowee @nathanjurevicius @kozyndan #pingame #pingamestrong #artpincollection (at Rotofugi Designer Toy Store & Gallery)

Two new limited edition pin designs from The Artpin Collection are dropping tomorrow morning, 9:58am EST via Rotofugi... are you ready?!?! "Junction" by Nathan Jurevicius is representative of the artist's distinct style, as it manifests in his 2015 graphic novel of the same title, also adapted into a short animated film. Two colorways are available in edition of only 105 each. "Bunnyfish" by Kozyndan is a new rendition of the beloved character portrayed in numerous of the artist duo's works since the mid 2000's. Long awaited by many Kozyndan fans, the bunnyfish is finally available in two colorways - blue and teal, which together can also form a Pisces zodiac sign. 80 pieces of each colorway are available. Both designs are 1.25" in size and come with a backing card... for just $12 a pop! SCORE!!! http://ift.tt/2qLhPbD
