LoL - Skarner Is Right

Famous last words, huh?

Real talk, delete that last sentence from the final paragraph of Skarner's bio:

"The only one Skarner can trust is himself, and he'll do anything it takes to protect Ixtal and its people. Even if that means becoming the root of their destruction, himself."

And his "destructive paranoia" immediately gets downgraded to "fully reasonable and healthy paranoia". I bet I haven't even pictured a fifth of all the insane bull-- going on outside of Ixtal, and half of the things on the pic would be enough for me to vote for eternal isolation, thanks.

This was a lot of fun to put together, even if it took a bit longer than I would have hoped. I ended up reading and/or listening to quite a few lore bits, all of which I really enjoyed... and my god, the story of Nasus and Renekton just nuked my heart. I want the god-warrior bros to make up and live happily ever after! I don't even care what happens to Azir and Shurima in the background, I want the brothers to get a happy ending, pls, Riot!!

So what's the lesson to learn from all this? #SkarnerIsRight

HSR x Fate UBW coming in Q3 2025 !

(I write these in mind for anyone doesn't know Fate series at all)

For now it's unknown will it come with stories or just skin or full pack with playable UBW character

Not long ago HSR had interview with FGO team, the magazine only release their Q&A but considering both side love each other project, these collab shouldn't really suprising. If there's suprising fact is why only UBW not FGO directly ? Since there is no info about collab details, let's make some analysis for now :

FGO especially Fate series is really big world ! If you need comparasion, it's not only Honkai Impact world but all Hoyoverse become one and you need to know at least a bit of each title to make sense about Fate series !

Continuing point above, which is the reason they gave us years for this collab ! Their developer consider years should be enough for player to quick read most Fate series franchise (lol)

Fate as whole already into their 20 years old now so it's kinda impossible for anyone to learn that series from start (even I only know fifty percent of it). So to make it simple, they just pick their well known franchise but not making players too confused about their world building which is Fate Stay Night. UBW is decent choice considering what's happened with other two.

If anyone need comparasion, UBW kinda like GGZ in term of popularity and reminiscing (lol) while FGO kinda like former Genshin in term of popularity.

I kinda saw FGO pretty desperate nowdays or maybe they're already out of idea to promote Fate series onward. For anyone doesn't know, FGO was the king of mobile gacha games but after Genshin release their revenue drop sharply and with more Chinese gacha games out lately, you can say now it's their lowest situations so to be honest Fate series feels like gonna dying sooner or later which is this collab came.

I can say for sure that this collab came from HSR side since those otaku ops growth like now while watching/reading Fate series (lol) so I think there's no way HSR or even Fate team will slack off especially for storytelling since it's Fate main selling (if there's one for collab later lol)

Onto collab prediction since it's specifically UBW, means the main character is either Rin or/and Emiya. Maybe anyone still not read questionable leaks but there's info this collab need two version to finish means there's at least four and max six new character avaliable later. Considering UBW stories, I can think of Saber and Gilgamesh or maybe Kirei can join the roaster too.

Now for everyone who doesn't know Fate series and need pointer for later collab, first please watch Fate Stay Night, it have three titles with same story premise but different PoV with different ending (Fate Stay Night 24 episode -> Fate Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works 1 movie -> Fate Stay Night Heaven's Feel 3 parts movie). Next it's Fate Stay Night prologue, Fate Zero 24 episode and you're good to breakthrough the collab only.

Sounds simple right, which is the reason they choose Unlimited Blade Works for collab. If FGO, you could swarm yourself with 9 years FGO lore materials + other works with and without "Fate" titles on it (lol)

I see Nasus more of a gentle partner, someone who has witnessed brutal, even fatal events in his life. Therefore intimate moments are something ment to be sweet, joyful; he wants to caress and attend almost the same amount as just simply take care of you. Even if he is a mighty god, I’m not able to think of Nasus as a sadistic fan of harming you. He is firmly against any kind of bringing you pain, alongside with suffering - so please, just let him take care of you.

2. A: Aftercare – what they’re like after sex.

Unqestionable lover of aftercare, a gentle giant with his calming voice and kind personality. Nasus is big enough to accidentaly harm you, so checking every few seconds on you is a key habit whenever having a sweet moment with him. Moreover, his colossal posture can be also his advantage - he is vigorous enough to carry you in his strong yet soft arms after sex, just to take care of your little body.

3. S: Stamina – how many rounds can they go for, how long do they last.

I mean - he’s a big dog, a big man. And moreover, he is a god, a warrior, an ascendant. There is no detailed measure of humanity that has been left in him, but the conclusion is - he can go for literal hours, unmoved, hot, still in some kind of rush. Besides from being very gentle at the begging, when you need to stretch and prepare for his big cock, he is like an animal in heat, someone almost unrecognizable. Nasus has for sure way more stamina than you, but even with his primal instincts he can still easly controll himself, even when towering over a body so small in comparison with him.

4. U: Unfair – how much they like to tease.

Not really. He has always been a calm man, the reasonable and intelligent one and if it came to deciding which of the brothers was more reliable - Nasus or Renekton - it always was the first of them to be chosen as the more trusthworthy. So no, I can’t see him as any sort of tease, I would set him on the side of more gentle and fair sex partners, the one who always asks with devotion and straightforwardness yet sweetness for his partner’s needs.

“What will it become of me?”

So… Azir will have to abdicate.

This is the harsh decision I’d been previously talking about in the Soothsayer section

This isn’t just me pulling even more so from TBSkyen’s playbook – check out his What’s The Deal With Azir if you haven’t – but doing what’s objectively the best thing for everyone, and agreeing is necessary.

The night before he does it he summons all his retainers and friends in a private meeting and tells them that what awaits them will be something that’s never been done before. And like he was told, it will sting like removing a thorn: necessary pain.

From that day forward, his crown will forever be replaced by Taliyah’s handmade coronet.

First, he’s welcomed fine. Well, even. People applaud him and cheer for him and tell him he did the best thing. He’s not even, like, giving up on absolute power to live a soft cottage life on his own (especially since I loathe that trope). He’ll still live in the palace and wield power, just a power that’s shared and earned instead of owed and given.

But once he leaves the dais and goes to his rooms to freshen up… suddenly he’s in tears.

No, why? Why? What’s happening. I did the right thing. I did everything right. Why am I crying? What’s wrong with me stop stop stop I don’t want to cry why am I feeling so bad why…

But deep down he knows why. He threw away everything he ever was – everything he worked for – in exchange for a fairer, yet uncertain future. No more "no god but Azir". No more celebrations. No more tributes and worship. Just an ugly ruined bird body and a mighty enemy who hates him.

And he knows Xerath is probably laughing at him, from wherever he is. So he was right, he's not an Emperor anymore.

Even if for a good cause – he lost everything now.

"My lord? We're about to begin the toasts. Are you..."

Nasus finds him as he sits on his own bedchambers, repurposed and cleaned for a fair rest. He races to him, looking about at his body and around the room. But he knows, more than ever, that most of Azir's tears come from a pain he cannot see.

He put his halberd aside and sits by his side, embracing him in the now familiar motion.

"Oh, baby bird..."

"What will become of me?"

"I..." Nasus cannot speak. He can't leave Azir hanging, but at the same time there's not joy in that truth. And his child has suffered quite enough.

So he just sits there and hugs him.

After a while, with Azir still shedding tears, Sivir finds them too. She sits behind Azir this time and pulls him close. Then Taliyah follows, curling up between his arms and Nasus' and allowing him to hold her as he weeps.

Somehow it's reassuring to see him so distraught. That means the sacrifice was there, the choice was indeed hard, and they can count on him as a guardian even if he's not a god on earth.

But after growing to like him, after knowing what he went through up to that point, those tears sting them too.

After his tears have expired, Azir stands up, wipes his face and kisses each one's forehead.

"I don't know what happened, I just... I couldn't hold back"

"Is your choice done?", Nasus asks. Azir gives him a distant nod. "Like removing a thorn, is it not? Heh..."

"Have a drink," Sivir says. "Relax for the night. Just celebrate like all of us. I've learned that if you worry too much you end up empty-handed. And we don't want that, don't we Azir?"

"She's right. You deserve a night of fun. Maybe it'll help you find your way as it did me".

Taliyah holds him by the hand and gently leads him back to the hall where everybody is celebrating on the newly risen People's Republic of Shurima. Mercenaries and merchants, commoners and bourgeoisie, naasaj and Nazumah, old loyalists and new friends, some old and most young. Even Renekton, in the isolated temple where he's been put to rehabilitate, was brought some of the foods and a small drink. Just one day ago he allowed Azir to touch his face. Your hand is so soft, he said.

Was it not unsafe, he almost wishes Xerath could see it. Another loss for him, and a win for them all.

He watches as specialties from all around the land are brought in, different wines are mixed together; as Taliyah's young friends show off their sails to K'Sante's ex beloved Tope, General Adanna twirls in her beautiful dress as Samira and Akshan clap, and the same Soothsayer who foretold this same event laughs as Raz Bloodmane fills his mouth with grapes until it bursts. She probably saw that too.

So let us dance, let us applaud, let us be one. Tomorrow we'll think of the future – plans for battle, shelter, music and art, and Azir's own new masterpiece: a state home for orphans called House of Imani.

I was wrong. I did not lose everything after all.
