Now in full flower are the Jonquils or Narcissus (Narcissus jonquilla) Native to Western Europe. Gardeners tend to use the names daffodil, narcissus, and jonquil interchangeably but jonquils are the nice smelling ones. Bulbs come up in early in winter and provide a beautiful show and a sweet perfume, by July. So that I get good flowers next year I dead head the flowers and then tie up the leaves, otherwise they spread out and cover everything else.
