Scent Headcanon — Inuyasha Omegas
Tumblr media
Notes: Inuyasha is my favorite anime, so the fact there aren't many fanfics of it makes me kinda sad.
Warnings: spoilers on Naraku's, might have grammar errors
»» Youkais and Hanyōs have a bigger sensitivity towards all senses, but principally scent. So this is a big thing for them, also they can sense if someone is pregnant just by their scent.
»» Bankotsu smells like a river, a little like metal and blood, considering he is always fighting. When he is mad his smell becomes more putrid, but fortunately, he uses natural suppressants and also has great control over his scent.
»» Inuyasha's smell is very strong, sometimes a bit overwhelming, very floral, like you're in a field of flowers on a sunny day. When he gets angry, which is quite often, is like his smell starts to wither slowly and becomes a bit faded.
»» This is a mixture of scents, since Kõga lives with his entire pack in a cave under a waterfall, he smells like all of those. A mixture of all the scents from the wolves in the pack, cave, river, and a bit of forest. When angry his scent spikes, and the more prominent smells are forest and river. His smell is not normally strong, a bit subtle.
»» Naraku doesn't have a scent, neither of his incarnations does, considering he is a fusion between 100+ demons and a dying body, even if he had a scent it would be too overwhelming to anyone, even himself.
»» Now Sesshomaru has a very clean and fresh smell, he smells like a rainy day, the smell of grass and flowers together in a light rain. When angry his smell becomes more watery as you can only smell the water, as if in a storm, and also a faded sense of ocean.
»» I feel like Tõga's scent is a mixture of Inuyasha's and Sesshomaru's, I mean they gotta have picked from one of their parents. His scent is very floral but has a subtle rainy smell to it. When he gets angry the change is also subtle, it only alters a bit, like you can't smell the rain as much.

Inuyasha ACNH themed island
Im starting an inuyasha acnh themed island and i will like some help :3
The island's name is Shikon (bc what else could it be). It has the most horrible villagers ever and non of the are staying. Rn im working to get my 3 star rating
my idea is dividing the island in two. a modern side and a feudal side and the only way to get from one side to the other is using the mario pipes (but i want to use the well item and hide the mario pipe but still required to go from side to side)
Modern side:
Bottom part of the map
Both shops
Im considering putting the museum as well but im not sure
An almost exact recreation of the Higurashi shine
Kagome's house (which will be my house) with as much detail as possible
Japanese city themed
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Feudal side:
Kaede's village
Naraku's castle
Kagura's flower field (u know which one)
A random shine
Campsite
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I have an over all idea but i will love some suggestions for some minor buildings and ideas to fill some space
Also idk what villagers i'll get :p
pls pls pls if you have any ideas or suggestions tell me ;)

Custom Toonami Block Week 163 Rundown
Spy X Family: The cruise ship arc continues and shit starts to hit the fan as Yor and her Director start to realize an eclectic group of assassins are after them and this becomes one of the serious arcs from Assassination Classroom all of the sudden (now I’m just imagining Yor as Koro-sensei’s TA and that in itself is pretty great) but yeah Yor and her Director get one kill each, like people actually die and that is something this series has over AssClass and it’s kinda jarring how sudden the murders are but it’s also kind of a good change of pace for treating Yor like an actual assassin and Loid like a real spy instead of one of those Nickelodeon shows where they say they’re spies but nobody has guns and the kids have to do everything. So yeah once they do that though Yor recognizes that wanton murder will probably get the ship turned around so she decides for non-lethal takedowns for the next few guys before facing off with Kusarigama Dude. Anya and Loid are also there and Anya’s just trying to keep Loid distracted so he doesn’t see Yor take down a bear of a man with a giant chain but the man has watched her suplex an actual cow before so idk why watching her beat up some dude would make him put the pieces together, he seems pretty clueless.
Inuyasha: This episode’s basically filler but it has a cute framining device with Kilala reminiscing about Kohaku and Sango’s relationship and reflecting on how the siblings are separated now. It’s pretty cute to see Baby Sanjo and Baby Kohaku growing up together so even though the episode doesn’t have much going on it’s probably worth it. Kohaku finds Kirara and helps her fight some demons and they talk for a bit. Like Kilala can’t talk so it’s probably safe to tell her what he’s planning but is Naraku not watching Kohaku at all because if he can talk to a cat about his plans there’s no reason he can’t be off having secret fuck Naraku meetings with god knows who like I thought this was why Naraku kept a Saimyosho detail on him at all times. Sango goes out to find Kilala and runs into Kagura and it’s funny how at this point in the series she doesn’t even bother fighting Sango like they’re not even enemies if Naraku’s not watching they’re just people that don’t like each other very much. Ngl though a balls to the wall Kagura vs Sango fight would probably be pretty cool even how hard both of them were power crept ones Inuyasha got the Wind Scar and beyond, like Hiraikotsu’s ranged attacks obviously wouldn’t work but Sango does have other shit in her arsenal despite how little she uses it. But yeah Kohaku leaves just as Sango finds Kilala and they can’t tell each other what’s going on but Kilala shows where Kohaku helped her and takes her to the field of flowers Kohaku showed her so Sango has an inkling that Kohaku’s okay now.
Yu Yu Hakusho: It’s Mukuro vs Hiei and this fight holds up a good deal better than Kurama’s final fight but it’s not without its problems. I’ve kind of noticed the Demon Kings don’t seem to have the level of cool techniques we saw in the Dark Tournament like all of them just have DBZ powers which I guess make sense that they’re creatures that have grown strength beyond technique but it’s also kinda boring to watch sometimes, they make an attempt at technique with Mukuro being able to ‘cut’ through the dimensions but in effect this just means there’s laser beams around the arena which doesn’t sound much like cutting through dimensions at all. These two angsty motherfuckers spend most of the fight bickering about how neither of them can take each other seriously in a fight because of their weird connect as twin kindred dark souls. Mukuro’s backstory is that she was enslaved by nonspecific demon slavers and hates everything because her life was REALLY shitty except like… she doesn’t? Like we don’t see her actively being malicious towards anything and her kingdom is a creepy bug world but Raizen specifically says she’d run a better ship than Yomi. But yeah she’s projecting a bit and saying Hiei only wants to belong and be loved and that’s why he didn’t destroy his village. Like bitch were you listening to the story? Hiei’s ice mommies are way worse off being frozen assholes with no emotions, that shit was revenge letting them live. Still neither of them have a particularly good idea of what to do next and listening to her ranting does let Hiei get an idea as he sends out the Darkness Dragon and Mukuro is finally able to crush it, but Hiei reveals that it wasn’t supposed to kill her but break her unbreakable shackle symbolizing her past hatred so they can both move on. Like that’s a fine little story and it does have the nice moral of sometimes it’s okay to just live and look forward to something even if you’re not sure what it is, and Hiei definitely has found a family unit at this point even if he never mentions it. It’s just like focusing the whole fight on a character whose backstory we get in the same episode and making it the final resolution for Hiei’s entire character in the series is more than a little messy.
Jujutsu Kaisen: Gundam Mechamaru vs Mahito and it’s really freaking cool considering Gundamn Mechamaru (despite my name for it) is just a huge homage to Gurren Lagann and Evangelion like it’s got the wires and shit and Mahito even busts into the cockpit with a giant drill like Kamina’s death scene and the final clash of Mechamaru getting shit ripped off and barreling through is just like the final clash in Gurren Lagann. But yeah it’s basically an excuse for Mechamaru to burn through his tragically limited energy and show off cool lights and shit until Mahito uses his Domain Expansion (which seems a lot bigger this time idk if it has a set size but it’s able to draw Gundam Mechamaru in from halfway across the dam despite being about the size of a gazebo when he used it on Kento. However Mechamaru’s able to use blue-haired girl’s technique which if I’m understanding it right basically creates a small pocket dimension inside the larger pocket dimension to cancel out a small version of the initial Domain’s effects and it’s something a lot of people overlook because it just seems to be a shittier version of a Domain like when blue girl used it. Anyway Mahito compulsory evacuation device’s his soul beforehand and is able to do the aforementioned Gurren Lagann reference and they don’t even bother showing you Mechamaru dying like they just show his crush talking to his empty mech about how they should get to know each other better and Mahito walking away and expect you to get the picture that he got giga soul drill breaker’d in his newly reconstructed face and things are only going to get worse from here. Halloween night is a pretty neat setting for the actual big Cursed Spirit terrorist attack to take place like everyone just kinda in costume chilling it reminds me of Hocus Pocus or the Halloween movies where some weird shit’s about to go down and you’re just kinda awkwardly sitting there with holiday decorations all around. But yeah there’s a Normies Only barrier that basically takes all the muggles in the area hostage and they subliminally send out ‘yo fuckers bring Satoru Gojo’ even though no one knows who the fuck that is. It’s actually kind of a neat strategy like Geto should’ve tried this when he was alive instead of the whole ‘imma get a bunch of mook cursed spirits and tell you when and where it’s happening so you can evacuate everyone ahead of time’ like I think Stitches!Geto has a different motivation than normal Geto but taking all the normies captive does kinda align with his original goal even though the whole Night of a Thousand Curses thing didn’t end up putting any normies at risk, maybe OG Geto was too soft for widespread massacre after all. Anyway all the main characters show up to help and Gojo just kinda dips in like ‘yo, heard some anonymous force of mass destruction wanted to see me?’.
Scott Pilgrim Takes Off: Okay ngl I was kinda getting bored of this series at this point, get the feeling this was designed to be binged like a long movie so sitting on it for over two months probably dragged out the pacing way more than intended, that said this episode is one of those great pre-finale episodes that ties everything together. Old Scott has dragged Current Scott into the future where there’s been some manner of unspecified apocalypse but also everyone and everything just kinda seems okay like I don’t know if anything actually happened or if the future just has dystopian chic design philosophies. Scott’s… basically still where he was ten years ago, still in a dead-end band (this time with the Brothers and their weird robot) and still living with Wallace. He lived out the good end of the original series but ended up getting divorced from Ramona after thirteen years of marriage for an unspecified reason, though Old Scott says it’s Ramona’s fault and Ramona doesn’t seem to bear Old Scott any ill will. Also completely unrelated but Wallace’s future husband works at Nintendo and Scott just goes ‘…where they make the video games?’ and that just made me laugh really hard for no reason. But yeah turns out Scott’s been controlling the time-traveling vegan robot and watching Ramona’s badass adventure the whole time and goes to talk to old Ramona about it. Old Ramona is a Death Stranding mail carrier now and says though their relationship’s over she didn’t want it to be erased from time so she was the one that wrote Young Neil’s screenplay so he could see the movie of their love in some form even if time travel fucked them out of actually living it. Scott tells her how awesome she is and how he watched her past self persevere for the sake of that relationship they never got to have and it’s really kind of a nice moment. She takes him back to the past so he can explain everything and reunite with regular Ramona but turns out the weird video game curse is still in effect so they’ll have to do a Boss Rush in the finale to break it even though half the Exes probably don’t even mind anymore. But yeah it’s a really good episode with a lot of heart and it does kinda validate a lot of what I’ve been saying while watching it that Ramona has some issues and they need to at least address why after treating the rest of her relationships so flippantly we should believe Scott is different and the answer is he kind of isn’t, like he is but he isn’t but at the same time Ramona does consider him the love of her life and the fact that there’s a timeline where it didn’t work out actually makes me feel a lot better about the ridiculously cutesy relationship they were setting up, like a little adversity and discussion can do wonders for a romantic subplot.
Ranking of Kings: Baby Kage and his mom get a little vignette and Baby Kage has to live with his shit life before a knight comes along and rescues him from a rampaging bull after seeing him try to save another kid from it. Kage dreams of becoming a knight like him and thus is born his little wooden horse his mom made for him. I kinda don’t know how to feel about filler like this because like once we get a tragic backstory for the most part we expect it’s understood that not every single second of that character’s life was terrible but at the same time getting a piece of that where it’s like ‘well actually some of the people weren’t racist dickheads’ kinda undercuts the relief he finds when he meets Bojji, it’s like those filler episodes of Naruto where he’s playing with the other kids and it’s like ‘didn’t you have a swing of lonliness to sit on or something?’ like it’s not continuity-breaking but it does undercut the tragic vibe a bit. The other short is a retelling of Bosse’s backstory in a different art style, it’s nice but more than a little distracting and does kinda give the vibe that Bosse wanted to be the strongest so he could protect his family which was never stated as the reason in the story and is kinda weird if he literally sacrifices Bojji’s potential for it but we’re almost done with this weird filler season so that’s good.
Vinland Saga: So things are going well on the farm, Einar and Thorfinn have beards now and Thorfinn’s pulling his hair back plus the wheat crop has grown a bit so it’s been some time, plus Einar’s relationship with Arnheid’s blossoming well and we get a hilarious montage of Einar teaching Thorfinn how to pray like a Quaker (ie screaming). Einar does bring up the point that if they can buy their freedom with their crops, what does that mean for the housemaid slaves like Arnheid and we’re just gonna put a pin in that while we shift perspectives. Ketil’s oldest son Thorgil has come back from Canute’s war and he’s the pillaging type of guy like Thorkell despite Canute saying to stop doing that shit. He tells his younger brother about their cool war hero dad and Ketil’s just like ‘uhh yeah sure I was an anime character on the battlefield’. When Snake finds some children thieves and tells Ketil to administer their punishment there’s a big round table discussion about what to do, like the heavy guys just wanna kill and/or dismember them while the farm accountant is like ‘okay just make them work it off… and also beat the shit out of them’ and Ketil turns out to be a relatively nice guy and doesn’t want to beat the shit out of children but he knows with his sons watching and a room full of toxic masculinity he’s not gonna get away from beating the shit out of some kids. Like it’s weird that he’s the unquestioned master of the farm and still has to do what society demands, like you literally own people why can’t you just be like ‘it’s my fucking farm I’ll do what I want’ though he does admit in private that he’s not really a pacifist so much as a coward and he’s scared of everyone that wants to do violence, most of all his own son. Like he doesn’t wanna do the violence but also he’s too much of a wimp to do the violence to the people that want him to do the violence to get out of doing the violence. Also he’s telling all of this to Arnheid who is apparently his bottom bitch because I guess violence is wrong and slavery is morally ambiguous but enforced prostitution is a green light. This is why I made so many qualifiers when I was talking about his arrangement with Einar and Thorfinn being mostly the best case scenario because despite him being pretty progressive for the time period, nobody’s getting out of the time period of pillaging and unsavory shit without a godlike transcendent view on morality and the resilience to defy cultural norms which I think is kind of the point of what Canute and Thorfinn are slowly working on doing.

If you don’t mind can you do half-demon sibling meets Rin by either coincidence or they meet her in a bad situation and saves her. (P.S. I like your work)

SUBTITLE: THE LITTLE HUMAN...(AND GREEN DEMON)
Summary: [Name] is traveling again when they run into the little green demon - Jaken - and the human Sesshomaru travels with that goes by the name of Rin. What happens when [Name] has a conversation with the small human?
[Somewhere in the Feduel Wilds]
[Name] rode on the back of [Horse Name] just as they broke out from under the tree line of the forest, focused golden eyes on the path ahead that led to a large paster of pink flowers before they pulled on the reign, making the horse stop in its' tracks. [Name] looked at the vast flower field with calm golden eyes, slowly blinking before closing their eyes as the breeze blew it, blowing their hair and cloak before it ceased; [Name] opened their eyes again before giving [Horse Name] a swift but gently heel, making the horse move again through the field. While listening to the sounds around them - the beating of their own heart and [Horse Name's] heart, the gentle blowing of the wind, and the rustling of the flowers against one another - [Name] picked up on another sound, a voice and it sound familiar.
"I can't believe Lord Sesshomaru left me behind again and ordered me to look after you while he searches for Naraku on his own." The Little Green Demon exhaled.
"Lord Sesshomaru will come back soon, Lord Jaken, all we have to do is wait for him." The little human smiled as she picked a flower and added it to the cluster of flowers in her arms.
'That's Sesshomaru's Vassel - Jaken, I believe his name was - and the human girl...I haven't seen her before. I always thought my elder brother hated humans yet he has one traveling with him. Maybe there's more to Sesshomaru that I don't yet know.' [Name] thought as they started moving again but another yell - in their direction this time.
"Lord/Lady [Name]?!" The voice of Jaken echoed throughout the field.
'Damnit, Jaken has spotted me.' [Name] exhaled before looking toward the little green demon and the human girl making their way towards [Name].
"Lord/Lady [Name], it's been a while. Have you finally come to your senses and decided to join Lord Sesshomaru on his journey to destroy the vile Naraku?" Jaken asked as he bowed to [Name], who narrowed their eyes at him.
"I have expressed no interest in following my brothers on their journeys and never will. I have my own goal and I won't give mine up for someone else." [Name] said before they looked at the girl, who smiled at them, "Who is this human girl?"
"My name is Rin, My Lord/Lady." The girl - Rin - introduced herself as she bowed.
"Rin... It's nice to meet you." [Name] said as they bowed their head in greeting.
"Lord/Lady [Name], you don't need to greet Rin, she is only a human." Jaken said.
"Have you forgotten that I am half-human? Do not disrespect humanity around me again or I shall turn you into a pile of green meat." [Name] growled, making Jaken gulp in fear. "Now, Rin, what are you doing traveling with my brother?"
"Lord Sesshomaru saved me after a wolf pack killed me. I am in his debt." Rin smiled.
'She was killed? That must mean he used his fang to revive her. She must mean something to him.' [Name] thought before sniffing the air, "Sesshomaru is coming."
"That's perfect! He would be happy to see you." Jaken beamed.
"I have no interest in seeing him. Goodbye." [Name] tsked at [Horse Name] and the creature began walking again.
"Wait, Lord/Lady [Name]! Come back, please!" Jaken called out.
"Farewell, Lord/Lady [Name]. I have a safe trip." Rin spoke as she waved at them.
'The girl... You brought her back, brother, you better take care of her.' [Name] thought.

Inuyasha Bingo Bonanza 2022
Refusing to Repeat the Past
read on ao3
Leaves bustled around their ankles, the autumn season bringing a chill air as the group continued on their afternoon journey. Any other day, she would have enjoyed the changing of the seasons, but today was like no other. Following behind the high priest, Tsubaki allowed her head to hang, her anger coursing through her veins. She wanted to scream, to cry, to make him bleed, but society decided that priestesses should not be allowed to express such inappropriate emotion. I hate him.
“Tsubaki.”
“Yes?” She smiled bitterly, raising her chin defiantly while still keeping her gaze trained on the ground.
“I understand you are upset, but this is for the best.”
“No, master! I can never accept this! Why did you entrust the Sacred Jewel to Kikyō and not me?” Her words tumbled out of her, unable to stop her hurt from rising. “Why couldn’t you choose me instead? I refuse to take place second to Kikyō.”
“That is enough! I cannot change what has been done and I think it would be best if you were silent now.”
Nodding, she knew it was of no use to argue, as she already had in the days prior to their little adventure. Though why I have to join them is beyond my understanding. Once it was decided who shall hold and protect Jewel of Four Souls, it was like she became invisible. The entire temple was dedicated to this journey, to the Priestess Kikyō and how utterly perfect she was for the job. I hate her. I hate all of them. I should be the one to do it, I’m powerful enough, the most beautiful and successful. What does she have that I don’t?
Tsubaki, along with three other priestess in training, four of the highest monks from her region and her teacher Master trailed along the path as the taijiya from a nearby village guided them towards their destination. She clenched her fists, her perfectly manicured nails digging into her palms, but she paid no mind to the beads of blood surfacing, her mind in turmoil.
I just don’t get it. I’m just as gifted and powerful as that wretch. It should be me guarding the jewel! Taking a deep breath, she closed her eyes, imagining a field of flowers with a crystal clear pond nearby.
She fantasized herself clutching the jewel to her chest, staring at her own reflection, admiring her youth and attractiveness. Her long black hair hung over her shoulders, the strands soft and silky to the touch, while a perfectly placed jewel sat nestled against her crown, emphasizing her beauty.
Her blue eyes that sparkled in the summer sun, her fair skin without imperfections and cherry lips were often admired by many others, men complimenting her stature as she slew demons. I wish to stay like this for the rest of eternity. The jewel, still tight in her hold, began to glow vividly, sealing her fate.
Opening her eyes, Tsubaki was brought out of her day dream and back to the present, a small smile playing across her lips. I will do whatever I can to stay young and beautiful, to become more powerful than any priestess who walks this earth, and to have the Sacred Jewel.
The memory faded from her mind, the dark priestess standing in a hut with her Shikigami and half of the jewel in her possession.
“Tsubaki.”
Ignoring the baboon clad puppet behind her, she focused her hold on Kagome’s body, mind and soul. In her mirror, Tsubaki watched as the modern day priestess pulled another arrow, aiming right for the half demon.
“If Inuyasha should flee, then take the chance to kill Kagome.”
I’ll be taking care of you too, Naraku. This time, I refuse to be second rate to Kikyō or her reincarnation.

That whole scene of towa burying riku was just pointless if he was just going to come back. It just makes it’s seem like they needed to fill in the time so they just added that scene. Of course with kagura white flowers in display too.
I don't think the Towa burying the horn, or the flower field backdrop was pointless. The series has been throwing some SessKagu parallels on RiTowa for a while. If anything, just like the Rin-Rion parallelism, which was pushed strongly in the 23rd episode, which was an indirect way of creators saying, "Hey, they are parallels indeed!". I think the same happened with RiTowa, which has parallels with SessKagu.
(After finishing writing, I realized that I ended up making a gigantic post, haha.😶)
Like these are the few parallels that I am aware of:
1. Both Kagura and Riku make their first appearance in the woods in front of Sesshomaru and Towa, respectively.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
2. Kagura gives a hint for Tokijin(sword). And Riku just leaves the stolen Kikujomonji(sword) with Towa.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
3. Kagura is an incarnation that manipulates wind, and she uses a feather to travel. Riku, again an incarnation, can manipulate water, and he is shown traveling in the boat he summons.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
4. Kagura looking back at Sesshomaru and Towa looking at Riku are very similar scenes. And look, there are both Rin (IY) and Rion (YH) looking up at Kagura/Towa.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
5. Towa and Riku are given a flower field (in the opening); it's not an anemone field. Yet, it is very intentional imagery again used to parallel with SessKagu.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
6. Both Kagura and Riku get stabbed in such a way that a heart-shaped pattern is formed on their chest. And yup, both were ingested with Miasma. 👀👀
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
7. Kagura disintegrates in thin air. Riku disintegrates in thin air. Yes, the horn from which Riku was summoned was left, but the imagery used for Kagura and Riku is still similar.
Tumblr media
8. Towa is burying Riku’s remnant in a place that is very similar to where Sesshomaru was mourning Kagura’s death.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And not the twins are shown in the anemone flower field twice already. 🙄 (Eyeroll at the creators)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also, since Tumblr is all of a sudden very generous to me, let me add more images I am aware of.
Sesshomaru’s official art with the moon. Naraku and Kagura’s art just happens to be placed right beside Sesshomaru’s moon art 👀. The second one is a much better example; it has Kagura closer to the moon. Then we have Riku and Towa with the moon in the background. ( Art for the ending theme of Season 2 and Riku is not in the ending, btw!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Along with anemones, the twins are also shown surrounded by flying feathers in one of the official arts.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
P.S.: There is an Animage March 2021 interview where Towa’s VA Matsumoto Sara selected a flower that best represents the main trio and Riku. Guess what Towa’s V.A. picked for Riku... it’s a purple ANEMONE!!

What shippers see about the callbacks is that Sunrise is mocking other ships, especially SessKagu's shippers.
Like they give Towa red eyes, Setsuna wind power, Naraku's power, colours and the recent is the flower field (windflower) ALL Kagura, but then it turns out Rin, a regular girl, is actually the mother. It's everywhere on twitter and tumblr.
Sesshomaru comes to Kagura in flower field because of pity VS Sesshomaru & Rin in flower field because of love (or some shit like that)
If Kagura was meant to be a mother, why changed it? Because Sunrise is afraid they lose SessRin's money? Are they that afraid of them?
What about you? Do you think some twist still can happen?
Lmao well, we know Lolisawa and Satocon have a fondness for lolicon. I'm told Sumisawa made a 10-year-old girl the romantic interest of a 19-year-old in Gundam, and the way Sato talks about Rin...he's the one who asked Rin's VA to make Rin sound "only a little older", fucking gross.
Even in the OG, Sunrise added a focus on Sesshomaru and Rin that isn't present in the manga. That dumb "Forever with Lord Sesshomaru" episode, and the disgusting pedo joke Koga makes about Sesshomaru keeping Rin around. Oh, and the drama CD- officially, it's non-canon satire, but did anyone find Sesshomaru proposing to 12 year old Rin "funny"? It was puke-worthy. And that's not RT, it's all Sunrise. So you can see why it doesn't surprise me that they'd want to make Rin the mother. Maybe they sold it differently to RT (remember when she said Sessh's wife was a WOMAN who changed Sesshomaru? Rin's not a woman, she never has been and probably never will be).
As for what I think...the show is so bad it beggars belief. It's on a level of awfulness that can only be achieved if you set out to purposely create something awful. The writing isn't just shoddy, it's completely nonsensical, to the point it makes you wonder. "Surely no writer can be this incompetent. There has to be an explanation".
From a rational standpoint, I think the explanation is that the HNY team is full of lolicon hacks. A flip would sort out a lot of plot holes and make for a clever plot twist, but Lolisawa doesn't have it in him.
But you know what they say, hope dies last - sometimes, when I see Towa's red eyes and cocky smirk or Setsuna uses her wind powers, I still wonder 🧐

my late contribution for the Yashahime Is Over Party:
His daughter is dead.
His daughter is dead.
Setsuna’s final expression is so calm, despite the gore staining her chest. A purposeless sacrifice, all motives and determinations disregarded - as senseless as the disappearance of his brother and the miko into the pearl.
Towa screams, curling over her sister’s body. Moroha shakes and whimpers, though this is simply yet another trauma on her small shoulders.
Sesshomaru remains silent, though he knows he should not.
Why is he doing nothing? Why doesn’t he feel anything, why doesn’t he care -
Sesshomaru wakes with a rough gasp, ripping the blanket clear off the mattress. Bakusaiga and Tenseiga sit quietly against the wall beside the bed, and he grips the hilt of the former so tightly that his knuckles crack.
The bedroom door creaks open, and he flinches sharply.
“Oi, what’s the matter with you?” Kagura’s voice is no less harsh in a whisper. One hand holds the folds of her sleeping kimono tight across her body; the other carries her fan, folded in a clear sign that there is no remaining danger. “You’ll wake the entire castle.”
The emotions that evaded him in the dream (one of the most drawn-out and detailed, yet also the most disturbing, that he has ever experienced) are horrifically potent now that he is awake. Setting Bakusaiga back in its place by the wall, he silently commands the thudding of his pulse to calm. His wife watches him collect himself incredulously; her scarlet eyes move through the dark like stars.
“It is late,” he says, instead of explaining. Her lips begin to form the typical response (yeah, no shit) before he continues. “Where did you go?”
“Rin’s room. She had a nightmare, too.” Kagura comes over and yanks the blankets back into their rightful place, knocking his pillow dangerously close to the edge of the bed. Her sleeve slips to show off a criss-cross of white scarring - the sole remnant of her resurrection. Like what’s left of a fish after the hook goes in, she likes to joke. “It was a bad one - if she was younger, I think she would have crawled into bed with us.”
Unease crawls up the ladder of his spine. The nightmare’s plot surges forth again: his niece, dismissed and uncared for; his children, abandoned and distant. Rin, a child bride, no life to speak of - and her abuser?
None other than himself.
The fact that it is not real (not for him, nor her, but perhaps for someone else, somewhere) does nothing to prevent an urgent horror from settling in. Sesshomaru speaks before he can stop himself.
“Perhaps she should not visit anymore.”
Kagura straightens, surprise plain on her face. “Why would you say something stupid like that?”
Normally, he’d bristle at the insult to his intelligence. But the pure fear that he has, that his brain could be capable of concocting such a version of reality even unconsciously, undermines every other instinct that he has.
“She must feel unsafe. She is having bad dreams.”
“Everybody does. You just did.” In a sharp movement, her fan is pointed in a direct line at his chest. “About something weird...is that why you’re acting so strange?”
Adrenaline waltzes with the poison in his blood. He can hardly bring himself to say it.
“I hurt her. Along with many others. It must never happen.”
Kagura’s arm drops, and she looks at him for a long time. Perhaps because she doesn’t understand. Perhaps because she does.
In the end, she just shakes her head and crawls in beside him. “Eh, don’t worry about it. I’d murder you if I thought that would ever happen.” After another moment, her teeth flash in his direction. “If Kagome didn’t get to you first.”
That is true, and so he allows himself to find comfort in it.
“Now, stop fussing and go back to sleep.” Yawning, Kagura slips under his arm to rest her head against his chest. Not for the first time, Sesshomaru wonders what her dreams entail.
She never expresses bitterness regarding her resurrection, though the circumstances were not ideal: an attempt by a self-appointed disciple of Naraku to rebirth the monster, using the soul of his one surviving incarnation. The mistake had been twofold: the first, in dismissing Kagura’s strength of will to not be used as a vessel for her former master. The second, that Sesshomaru himself would allow such a thing.
Jaken refers to the situation as yet another star in their constellation of bad luck. Sesshomaru privately holds the opposite opinion.
“Stop thinking so loud,” she mutters, prodding his temple with one finger. “Or both of us will be up all night.”
But the dream’s claws take hold again once she molds herself against him, and the curve of her abdomen pushes against his ribs. Yet another thing that she has brought him, that Jaken bemoaned; unintentional on both their parts, but welcome nonetheless. Though there are more than a few months to go before they will meet the child growing within her, he can sense from the demonic energy that it is strong.
It is not inconceivable that there could be two.
Two daughters of Sesshomaru, walking alone in a forest. Forced into separate points in the cycle of time. Lying in a field of flowers, one dead and one grieving.
His heart aches.
“Kagura.”
“Ugh, what.”
“You were not there.”
“When?”
“In my dream.”
“Oh.” Yawning again, she reaches over to grab his arm, maneuvering it so that his palm rests on her pregnant belly. He does not know what comfort she finds in the action, since it places his poisonous claws in such close proximity that it should make any mother wary. “Well, if it was a bad dream, that makes sense. Your subconscious must know how lucky you are to have me.”
“That is not what - “
“Hush.”  She presses down hard on his knuckles, only relinquishing her grip when he starts to move his hand in a slow circle. With a sigh, her eyes flutter closed.
It would contradict her theory to explain that the little kitsune who follows his brother made zero appearance as well.
But Sesshomaru will wait until the morning to mention that.

Note
like... am I supposed to feel bad for Zero? She was willing to kill kids because a man didn't love her back. if she's supposed to parallel Kagura, it's a cheap comparison because kagura wanted to be free. Kagura developed feelings for Sesshomaru along the way, but her arc and her vengeance (which sesshomaru tried to get for her) was not because of of for sesshomaru's sake. This new series really boils down female characters to "love interests" "pickled child mothers" and "scorned lovers"
I wouldn't draw a parallel between Zero's and Kagura's motives. Kagura wanted to be free from Naraku. Zero wanted to save Toga (failed, because she never tried, was stuck in past because of this) and Kirinmaru from death as predicted by Shikon Jewel. (FYI, if you didn't know, they showed that Shikon Jewel predicted Toga's death and also predicted that Kirinmaru would die by the hands of half demons).
How her feelings were resolved because she saw Towa being surrounded by love just like Toga, is beyond me. It boils down to the execution which has been really pathetic throughout the series.
At least Towa is finally appreciative of her adoptive family.
InuYasha series had proper character development. You could see the gradual change in the characters.
While Yashahime characters are just doing whatever. For example, you have Setsuna who started off as a person who is not easily trusting anyone. But in season 2 she suddenly believes that some young girl is her mother because a voice said so. And on the contrary, you have Towa who cries for a random demon sealed for 600 years but doesn't really give a crap about Rin sealed for 14 years even when she is being told that she in their Mother. I am not even gonna start with OG cast esp. Sesshomaru.
This new series really boils down female characters to "love interests" "pickled child mothers" and "scorned lovers"
I agree with this whole-heartedly. They started a female-centric series 3 girls but downgraded their OG female cast as mere wives to their husbands, normalize a ward being married off to her guardian and show an OC demoness that appear as a pathetic scorned lover. How Zero and Kagura are linked, I don't know. The direct link I see was the spider on the staff that vanished and made the flower field appear.

The Theories (a masterpost)
Kagura is likely the mom.
-work in progress-
Visual Evidence:
Towa had the exact same Naraku infant blanket when first introduced
Towa has red eyes like Kagura.
Setsuna and Towa have Kagura’s eye shape.
Towa and Kagura have very similar facial expressions.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Setsuna’s Naraku influences: very different color scheme from Sesshomaru, she appears for the first time to Kaede wearing her fur like Naraku’s baboon, Setsuna has the same hairline as Byakuya.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There is no way their other half is merely human, because there are other demonic genes visually in play.
Towa as a child had her hair up in a bun shaped just like Kagura’s, and Setsuna has a similar shape and color to Kagura’s hair.
The red in their hair is reminiscent of Kagura’s fan.
The childrens’ color scheme matches their parents’
Towa on her human night, much resembles human Naraku.
Powers Evidence:
Setsuna has wind powers. Kagura was a wind sorceress.
Towa's sword absorbs demonic energy, much like Byakuya's sword.
Setsuna’s Moon of the Resting Moth. Byakuya, Naraku’s incarnation and Kagura’s replacement, had moth powers.
Setsuna in episode 5, episode 8, uses tornado/whirlwind attacks. Her cyclone burst is pure wind.
Towa’s sword works more like Tokijin, rather than Bakusaiga, which was purely Sesshomaru’s. Tokijin was from Goshinki another Naraku demon. (Bonus: Kagura was the one who “gave” Sesshomaru Tokijin)
In episode 11 it was revealed that Setsuna has a resistance to venom which easily mirrors her father’s venom claws, while Towa has a resistance to poison mist, perhaps reminiscent of Naraku’s miasma. Kagura came from Naraku.
Tumblr media
Less firm, but relevant evidence:
Towa holding her sword like Kagura
Setsuna in the field of flowers where Kagura died.
Kagura’s flowers mixed in with Setsuna’s dreams
Fans (3) in Setsuna’s ED background
Towa having a soft spot for male beauty, just like they portrayed Kagura in the series (praising Sesshomaru, blatantly saying Inuyasha and Koga are not her type of man)
Kagura’s theme song and Setsuna’s theme song are very similar, both melodically and rhythmically.
Setsuna’s scrunchie placement in Towa’s dream looking like Kagura’s feather
Sesshomaru reaching for Kagura’s feather with a pink light surrounding it, speculated to be her soul (bonus magazine translations!)
Tumblr media
Paralleling the parents’ personalities, as well as Towa breaking her sword to save Setsuna (like Sesshomaru had broken Tokijin before finding Kagura) -Towa is rebellious like Kagura.
A phrase used at the beginning of the publicity for the sequel: "A wind of change is coming Sengoku."
Setsuna’s naginata is reminiscent of Hakudoushi’s naginata.
Consistent references to swallows (1, 2, 3)
The end of episode 10 was ominously focused on the wind. As well as the wind only blowing on Towa multiple times in episode 2.
Rumiko Takahashi’s interviews from 2019 further support Kagura being a likely candidate for being the mother of the twins and Sesshomaru’s wife. The feelings between them are highlighted, even going to say his emotions reached a climax with Kagura. In addition, RT has said that Sesshomaru has matured largely due to the influence of his wife. This was just last year, and Yashahime has been in the works for the past 3 years.
This year, the voice actors for Yashahime dropped that Kagura has a human heart.
----------------------------
Extra: Why Rin is the daughter:
Kikyo’s “Daughter of Sesshomaru” is spoken towards Rin.
Rin’s age in the timeline making no sense to be the mom -she would have given birth at 13-14.
They still promote Rin as a child.
----------------------------
Thank you everyone feel free to add whatever I missed and I will edit it in
A very special thanks to @divine-entertainment , @doombull , @teaandcrumpets !!!

Sneak peek at THE MOST PERFECT LEGACY my contribution to Sess/Kagu Week 2021
“The inu youkai found the wind sorceress in a meadow close to the village. She was dressed in a stunning red kimono, the sleeve undone to offer her right arm a greater range of motion allowed him a peek at her blue underlayer and the inviting column of her neck.
It was the first time he laid eyes on her since he had seen her body dissolve in a field of flowers while he stood by uselessly. The woman gracefully fluttering mere meters away was indeed Kagura.
He was suddenly hit with an unexpected reaction. In that moment, he realized he wanted to get closer to her and rub his nose against her throat to take in more of her scent. Without the undertones of Naraku’s youki, her natural scent was now discernable, and it was heady. The flow of unbridled passion suddenly pumping through his veins shocked him. He had occasionally indulged in pleasures of the flesh, but his last such encounter was decades ago. Unlike his father he had sworn to himself never to let his feelings for a woman bring him down. No matter how tantalizing the woman was. This would have to hold even more true with regards to the witch. This woman was Kagura. She was merely a womb to carry his heir. He needed to remember that.”
Head to AO3 or Fanfiction.net to read the first chapter!

Okay so today I shared with my mom™ all of the amazing evidence SessKagu shippers and “Kagura is the mom” theorists have gathered and, although she wasn’t very convinced at first, by the time I was done she said it is very possible it becomes a reality.
(Just for context, my mom is a philosopher who has never in her life watched a single episode of Inuyasha and is only familiar with the story because I’ve been obsessed with it since I was 6, therefore she is forced to listen to my endless rants. She is also the most objective person I know so I’m making her watch Yashahime as an experiment to see if you can understand it without watching Inuyasha first. Oh, and she despises the idea of S*ssrin).
Some important things she mentioned:
She didn’t buy Hisui (“the boy with the giant boomerang” as she calls him) is 20, she said he doesn’t look older than 16. Therefore she considers Rin (“the adorable girl”) too young to be the mom.
Overall she was very impressed with all the nods to Naraku (“the one who screwed up everyone’s lives”) and his incarnations, but she took a special interest in the fact that human Towa looks like Muso (“The naked guy who stole other people’s faces”) and that she has red eyes in both forms, just like Kagura.
She was surprised when I explained to her the field of flowers thing.
She actually gasped when I showed her the fan that appears besides Setsuna during the closing credits.
She believes the strongest piece of evidence are the similarities between Setsuna’s powers and Kagura’s, because it makes no sense she has wind abilities when Sesshomaru (“the ethereal beauty”) doesn’t.
She considers the part of the theory that needs the most work is the explanation of how Kagura could have survived.
She was confused as to why the girls are half-humans if Kagura was a demon. I explained to her that Naraku was a hanyo so there’s a chance she was too, but she didn’t understand it very well.
She said it makes sense Setsuna inherited Naraku’s ability of picking the night in which she transforms into a full human.
She said all the hints mean nothing if you look at them separately, but once you put them all together they make a lot of sense.
She said S*ssrin shippers only argument is the fact that the girls are half-human, and that it is not strong enough.
She said Sesshomaru and Kagura made a cute couple.

SessKagu magazine page translation
@the-storm-winds provided an HQ scan of this page so I took some time to translate the texts! The text in the top left corner is just names of staff and info about the show’s airing so I’ll leave that out :) If anybody else speaks Japanese and would also like to take a look at this, please feel free to and also let me know about any possible mistakes in my translation!
Tumblr media
Let’s go:
The big pale purple sentence floating by Sesshoumaru: “A wind that shakes a demon heart.”
The white text paragraph to the left of the purple sentence: “In this series, labelled ‘The Final Act’, a shocking drama unfolds the moment it begins! In addition to the introduction of heart-warming anecdotes, Yamaguchi Kappei and Narita Ken also carry out a brotherhood talk!”
The text next to the two small Sesshoumaru photos: “Inuyasha’s half brother, who carries strong magical powers, had the kind of personality that does not concern itself with others when he first appeared; though gradually something akin to kindness emerged.”
The blue text by Sesshoumaru’s feet above the black title: “The main cast announces the rising of the curtain! A climax as expected? Turbulences bigger than expected? With what feeling has the new fall season begun?!”
The text next to the two small Kagura photos: “A part of Naraku, wind user. She tried to regain her heart, held by Naraku, and her freedom. This wish was finally granted, but...”
The big block of text next to Kagura: “The last moment of a familiar character drawn ever since the opening [of the show]. ‘Inuyasha: The Final Act’ has a big advantage. That is, the original has already been completed and left behind a huge amount of volumes, volumes 37 to 56. Moreover, the original author is extraordinary storyteller Rumiko Takahashi. We are excited to see just what kind of dramatic development awaits us. In response to these expectations of fans, ‘Inuyasha: The Final Act’ develops a rich drama starting from the first episode. The production staff and the voice actors speak in unison when saying "every episode is a climax." That word exactly was applicable to the drama between Sesshomaru and Kagura depicted in episode 2. Kagura was born as an alter ego of Naraku, but gradually separated from him in her search for freedom. She seemed to be a strong-willed woman but as she became involved with Sesshomaru, the deep loneliness hidden in her heart started oozing out. Kagura knew she wouldn’t be able to obtain it [her freedom] and appeared to be looking for Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru, on the other hand, has gradually come to open his heart to others thanks to his relation with Rin and the others in his circle. During that time, Kagura appeared in front of him. Even if it didn't violently shake his heart, it must have sparked some kind of thoughts in him. Their last scene together takes place in the middle of a flower field. Time passed slowly, and Kagura left behind a smile on her face. Sesshomaru erases his thoughts, not putting them into words. What kind of emotions were it that recurred within his chest?
Note regarding the last 2 phrases: “thoughts” in the first one was written as 思い (omoi from 思う/omou/”to think”), which I was very tempted to translate with “emotions, feelings” because it can mean that. However, the word’s primary use is for “thoughts” so I decided to stick with that; also because they then go on to use the actual word for “emotions, feelings” (感情/kanjou) in the last phrase. I felt it was important to keep that distinction in the translation seeing how the original did so too.

💜 What is the most heart wrenching passage you've ever written?🌻 How long have you been writing fan fiction?
💜What is the most heart wrenching passage you’ve ever written?
SO, this was a tricky question! Because historically, I feel like I’ve written mostly fluff (which I am FAR better at LOL).
BUT. I do have a WIP. It’s one of my oldest, along with Cowboy Blues. It’s my angst piece. A Kagome-never-goes-back-in-time fic where she ends up meeting Inuyasha’s reincarnation. My current tentative title is “The Five Stages of Grief”. I haven’t gone to it in a while, because I’m still working out a lot of the kinks. I think I haven’t gone back to this because the very core of this fic is not necessarily great for InuKag, and that makes me sad LOL. But, I shall share a snippet with you 😊 (tumblr mobile is DUMB and won’t let me separate it properly so this is a whole goddamn paragraph instead of what it looks like on docs, so I’m sorry for that lol)
Inuyasha didn’t make another appearance in her dreams for several months. Once again, they shifted. Instead of merely being a spectator to her surroundings, she was finally a part of the dream. She could never see her appearance, or hear her own voice. Usually, she was walking along the path that led to the Goshinkboku, or picking flowers in an open field. The sun was always shining with a light breeze that felt so cool and soft on her warmed skin. The dreams were rather mundane and peaceful, yet Kagome would wake up with the nagging feeling that something just wasn't right. She had also stopped dreaming of Miroku, Sango, and Shippo, which only fueled her apprehension. It was irrational to feel this way about such a calm dream, but it was like staring into the eye of the storm; eventually the howling winds would return to destroy anything in it's path. That was when she began having the dream that currently woke her up tonight. The first time she realized that the dream was about Kikyo and Inuyasha had her hurling into her bedside trash can. If she had been having visions of the life all her friends were living now that she was gone, what did it mean to be dealing about the man she loved with his past love? They hadn't seen Kikyo in the weeks prior to their battle with Naraku. The last time they spoke, Kikyo had addressed the whole group, not just Inuyasha, speaking in riddles about power and fate. She rarely took her eyes off Kagome, as if she was speaking only to her. She left almost as fast as she arrived, leaving them with more questions than answers. Kaede had a strange look on her face when they relayed what Kikyo had said the day before the final battle, but there just wasn't time to delve into the matter. They all assumed they would talk about it should they all make it out alive. Kagome knew it was possible that Kikyo was still out there, roaming the wild countryside. What would she do now that Naraku was vanquished? Would her soul finally be able to rest in piece? Would she still try to drag Inuyasha to hell with her? The second question hurt Kagome more than she could ever realize. Part of her wanted to be angry, both at Kikyo and Inuyasha, if that were to happen, but she couldn't blame him if he did. Kikyo was such a big part of his life, and if he lost hope that Kagome would ever return to him, the next plausible solution would be to join with Kikyo again. No matter that he had friends he could rely on. She resisted the urge to throw up. The thought of never going back to her friends literally made her sick. The thought of never seeing Inuyasha again made her body go numb. She had been bed ridden all week. She didn't care about going to school, or seeing her school friends, or eating. Nothing mattered anymore. Her only desire was to fuse with her bed, so she didn't have to feel like this anymore. The storm raged on, with no end in sight.
🌻How long have you been writing fan fiction?
I originally started writing fanfic wayyy back in the day when I was 12, 13 years old. Most of what I wrote never actually made it to the internet. I was a Quizilla kid, so I don’t think there’s any evidence of my previous works from then (thank god xD). Although I ripped out the paper inside, I still have some of the composition books I would use to write in with some tentative titles! In recent years, I started writing again in the beginning of 2020, my first piece being for White Day (which would eventually become the universe of Cowboy Blues).
Thanks for the asks Neutron!!! 😎👍

Comfortember day two: First Day/Night — SessKagu
Day two for @comfortember and @inuvember! Enjoy!
Tumblr media
The clear night sky is the first thing Kagura sees when she opens her eyes. It tales a moment for her vision to focus, for her to even understand that she is awake — that she is alive. Her entire body aches, pain spreading through all of her limbs, but most importantly, as she notices when she tries to push herself up, there is a heavy weight on her chest, in her chest, and that noise, in her ears, that she can’t quite place.
Thump. Thump. Thump.
Disoriented, legs weak, she looks around. She is in the middle of a flower field, in which she remembers crashing after Naraku—
Thump. Thump. Thump.
After Naraku gave her her heart back.
The second the thought hits her, her hands fly to her chest, pulling away the kimono, until her palm is pressed against the skin and she can just listen and feel.
Thump. Thump. Thump.
Honestly, in that moment, Kagura feels like she could cry. She has her heart back, and she is alive, though she has no idea how that is even possible. She distinctly remembers Naraku injuring her, knows that he’d meant for her to die, and Naraku doesn’t make that kind of mistakes. So how…
Finally, she finds something around her. A tall, white silhouette, standing with their back turned on her. She scoffs.
“You saved me,” she says.
Sesshomaru glances at her over his shoulder, doesn’t reply. His expression, as always, is unreadable.
“I’m not complaining,” Kagura continues while taking slow steps towards him, voice probably a little too chipper for someone who just avoided a certain death, “but I am curious. Why would you do that?”
This time, a growl comes from his throat.
“I dislike Naraku,” he replies.
“Is that it?” Kagura asks with a pout. “That’s a little disappointing.”
When she finally reaches him, she’s exhausted. Without asking, she takes his arm and rests her head against his shoulder. She knows that she’s pushing her luck, but what can she say, she’s feeling bold right now. After all, he didn’t go through the trouble of saving her life to kill her now, did he?
Sesshomaru doesn’t push her away. He doesn’t welcome her with open arms either, sure, but he lets her lean against him and use him for support. Kagura grins.
“C’mon, admit it. You’d have missed me too much if I’d been gone.”
Sesshomaru tilts his head to the side, just a little.
“You are a constant thorn in my side,” he says, and Kagura barks out a laugh.
She looks up at the moon. It’s just a crescent, tonight, but it’s shining high and bright and free, like her, and it’s the most beautiful thing she’s ever seen. Her first moon with her heart, she thinks. Her first time feeling the wind in her hair and knowing she could just follow it if she wanted to, her first time looking up at the stars without wishing she could be one of them, her first time standing on her own without having to answer to anyone for her actions and her thoughts.
She laughs again as the realization hits her. She’s free, now. Free from Naraku forever, free to dance in the wind, free to stay right where she is. Free to pledge allegiance to someone else, should she choose to, though it is a little too early for that.
“You might not be completely wrong,” Sesshomaru says quietly.
She turns around to look at him, and finds him already staring at her. It makes her feel strangely self-conscious, and lifts her hand to push a lock of hair away from her face, but she doesn’t break eye-contact.
“What are you talking about?”
“I would have missed you.”
Thump. Thump. Thump.
“Well, I’m always right,” Kagura shrugs with a cocky smirk. “You’re gonna have to learn that, if I stick around.”
“Is that what you intend to do?”
“For now, yeah,” she nods decisively. “I mean, I’m still feeling a little weak, after, y’know, dying, and it’s going to take a little while to get used to having that,” she says, tapping her chest right where she felt her heart beat earlier. “It would be stupid if I just died at my first run-in with some demon, right?”
“It would be stupid,” Sesshomaru confirms, “and that would make you a waste of my time.”
“So what you’re saying is, I should totally stay with you.”
“What I am saying is that, if that is what it takes for you to survive a little longer, you may travel with me.”
Thump. Thump. Thump.
“Do you intend to stay here all night?”
“Yeah, I think I will. I can’t wait to see the sunrise. I wonder if it will be any different.”
Sesshomaru doesn’t reply. He doesn’t move either. He lets her tighten her grip on his arm, lets her slump her body against his.
He wonders if the sunrise will be any different just because he watches it with her.
