For the last couple months Undertale has been my escape from the horrors and it's been my everything to come back to such a wonderful and active fandom! 💖 It's been Such an inspiration for me since the demo came out all those years ago!! (actually a decade ago?!)

Ladies, Gentleman, Those who identify as neither or both, It is FINALLY here. I am so excited to bring this comic to you all and I hope it resonates with many of you out there. Here is my cover of the Undertale Fan Comic I’m working on; “JigsawTale : The Ascension of the PuzzleMaster”. A Post-Pacifist ending long-running Undertale fanwork that centers the perspective of Papyrus. He’s our main character, and we’ll get to see how well he integrates into life on the surface in the human world , along with all of his friends and found family. How difficult is life for monsters who are perceived as even stranger than the average monster is ? He’ll have many obstacles to overcome because Papyrus just isn’t like most monsters. I’m very excited to share my work with you all, this story means so much to me and so much of it is inspired by and informed by my own lived experience. Papyrus is the character I relate to the most in pretty much all of fiction and I feel like I’m telling my story through him, sort of, but also his own at the same time. He’s my favorite for a reason and I think it’s time we give him a moment to shine. The story may contain some potentially triggering topics and events , but when the time comes I’ll be sure to give multiple detailed warnings for anything that needs it. It’s also meant to be viewed by older audiences as such, I’m not really intending for this story to be viewed by kids, it is a story that centers the perspective of an adult who doesn’t always get to feel like one and not only do I think it’ll resonate with that audience more, but it may not be suitable for those who are younger at all times, so I’d proceed with caution. Also I feel I should clarify, I don’t personally see this as much of an “AU”, To me it’s not an alternate universe, so much as it is an extended timeline that asks “What happens to everyone after the end of the ‘pacifist’ run, and what if we looked at all of that from Papyrus’ perspective ?” It’s closer to an epilogue story. Outside of Asgore and Toriel not being immortal in my version of the story and closer to middle age, there are no major differences to the original game, not enough to be considered an AU anyway, but if you see me tag it as one, that’s just to make it easier to find. Regardless , I hope everyone who’s interested gets a chance to read my story when it’s out, it’ll still probably be a while before that happens as I have a lot of things to work on and art skills to improve , but when the day comes , you will know. I plan to continue trying to update when I can. This is just to promote the comic and I hope it reaches as many people as possible. Thank you all for your time and patience, I’m beyond excited.

Info:

Main differences with Undertale:

*after ingesting liquid bravery, sans's body couldn't handle it and he ended up getting a sort of chronic disease

*instead of studying determination, alphys studied bravery.

Relationships:

Alphys:

Sans: he's mainly an acquaintance though they're rather friendly. After the accident, she started making extra efforts to be nicer to him.

Papyrus: she knows him from when he goes to train with undyne. They cook together from time to time.

Undyne: she has a crush on her. Way too shy to actually confess though.

Mettaton: she created his body. Basically like her son, she cares greatly for him.

Napstablook: the cousin of the ghost inhabiting Mettaton's body. Doesn't really talk to him or knows much about him.

Asgore: the king of monsters. She works pretty directly under him, so they're friendly enough. Invites her to have afternoon tea and gossip about their shows sometimes.

Toriel: doesn't know her except for the fact she used to be queen of monsters.

Sans:

Papyrus: his brother, loves him dearly and also the guy who takes care of him.

Undyne: they talk a bit, though not that much except for when he's with papyrus watching them cook. Technically his employer.

Alphys: considers her a friend, though he doesn't really like how she seems to almost pity him sometimes.

Mettaton: a star on TV, watches him sometimes when it's a really bad day and he can't go to work.

Napstablook: doesn't know him.

Asgore: the king of monsters. His former employer, though they're still friendly.

Toriel: close friends, he tries to go to "see her" every day.

Papyrus:

Sans: his brother. Loves him dearly, and he helps take care of him after the accident.

Undyne: technically his employer. They're close friends and she's also his inspiration/idol.

Alphys: they cook together to "put undyne's classes to good use" but really he's trying to wingman them together. He WILL get his otp to come true damnit!

Mettaton: his celebrity "crush", though really he just admires how cool he is. Met him once when his body was getting repaired, but he isn't sure that counts since he wasn't exactly conscious.

Napstablook: never met him.

Asgore: the king of monsters. Hasn't personally met him.

Toriel: doesn't know her past the fact she used to be queen of monsters. Never met her.

Other:

Sans's chronic illness symptoms are:

-smaller magic reserves that deplete easier. Needs to eat and sleep more often to get them back up.

-soulburn.

-harder time controlling/summoning attacks.

-coughing up liquid bravery.

-back aches

-liquid bravery gocking up joints and making it harder to move.

-getting cold way easier
