DP x DC AU: Danny desperately wants to find the explosion guy. Tim is really good at covering his tracks... he didn't account for ghosts.

The explosions make it onto TV as purported terror activity and most people haven't heard of that part of the world much less ever given a second thought to care about it. The only real reason it gets reported on has something to do with the Justice League and... Danny knows too much.

He's been in training for Clockwork's court (which he's suspicious of- feels like kingly duty bullshit- but Danny is playing along out of curiosity for now) and he's learned a lot about how the living and non-living worlds collide. That means learning about CW's usual suspects- one of which just happened to have a ton of bases around the area Danny was seeing on the news.

It didn't take long for Danny to try to piece together that whoever blew up Nanda Parbat was trying to fuck with the League of Shadows, and was doing it successfully. Less green portals in the world the better, same goes for assassins. But it gets Danny thinking... Maybe he can employ similar tactics on the GIW Bases that keep spawning on the edges of Amity Park. It would at least set them back while he and his friends navigated the help line desk to request Justice League intervention. None of them can leave Amity Park, so outreach is going to have to be creative.

So Danny figures he'll just find the guy. Call up some ghosts who were there, or er, came from there and get a profile and track him down. But the ghosts keep saying it was The Detective. Annoying!

Danny goes full conspiracy theory, gets Tucker and Sam involved, and begrudgingly asks Wes Weston his thoughts.

He hadn't expected Wes to garble out a thirty minute presentation (that had 100 more slides left to go before he cut it off) about how Batman totally trained with a cult and so did his kids. Danny kind of rolled his eyes but... hey, new avenue of searching in the Infinite Realms at least.

The ghosts confirm that Bombs is for sure not Batman's MO- But maybe his second kid would know? The second kid was already brought back to life though, so no way to easily reach him... Danny starts to realize that this might be the work of a Robin now. Wasn't the red one known for solving cold cases? (Sam provides this information- its a social faux pas to not know hero gossip at Gotham Galas- everything she's learned is against her will).

It all comes to a head when Danny goes about the hard task of opening a portal for the guy to come through at just the right time, explain the infinite realms so he doesn't panic and then describe what the fuck was going on with the GIW. It takes months, just over a full year, of random (educated guesses) portal generating- Finally, Red Robin drops into the land of the dead.

"So, you're the guy I've got to talk to about explosions right?" Danny enthusiastically asks.

Tim thinks he's died and landed in the after life following 56 hours of being awake and plummeting off the side of a building into a Lazarus pool. Nothing makes sense about the kid in front of him.

"Yeah, I got a guy for munitions." Tim answers cooly.

"How do you feel about secretly sanctioned government operations that violate protected rights?"

"Gotta get rid of 'em some how. Need me to point you in the right direction?" This might as well be happening.

“I know, cut him some slack, Lo,” She chuckles to the phone line as she drive her car back to the mansion. She just finished buying some things from the grocery store as she called Logan on her way home.

“Nah, it's fun seeing lil’ Scotty get all riled up,” The older man replied from the other side of the call. His low chuckles quickly follows. “On your way home, bub?”

“Yep, already close. I’ll get there in maybe 2 minutes. Got your be-” She answered, but her answer was cut off by a loud crashing sound.

From her right side, a drunk driver drove in a high speed carelessly as he was barely sober. It’s too late for her to realise as he already crashed his car onto hers.

“Bub? What's goin’ on? Nan?” Hearing the crashing sound, Logan began to worry. It makes it even worse that she didn't answer him but he can still hear the other end of the call.

A groan of pain. Her voice. Logan puts the piece together and he quickly goes downstairs to get where she is. He met with Scott as he walked at such a speed.

“Why the rush?” Scott asked as he quickly just walked past him when he usually bicker with him first.

“Nanda got into accident.” He replied as he look was looking for the bike key. Hearing that, Scott quickly turned around and follow him. He doesn't need anymore explanation, all the unusual from Logan is enough tell.

Scott snatched the car keys from the table, “I'll drive. Too dangerous if you drive.” He quickly open his car and start the engine. In normal circumstances, Logan would not agree to this but right now what matters is they get to her fast and also safe. His head is way too hazy because of his worry.

On their way to her, Logan kept the call line connected and kept talking to her even though he's unsure whether she can hear him or not, “Baby, hang on, we're almost there.”, “Bub, i'm almost there.” His voice cracks ever so slightly from trying to hold back his tears.

When they arrived at the scene, Logan quickly jumped out of the car, walking through the crowd trying to find his girl, Scott swiftly followed from behind.

In the centre of the scene, there's the car she drove, severely damaged. The drunk guy's car who crashed into her seems to not take that much damage, but hers seems very bad.

“Sir you cannot be here.” A police officer trying to push Logan behind the barrier the police has put. “Get the fuck away from me!” Logan pushed him away at ease. He spotted her inside an ambulance was about to be taken to hospital. He quickly ran to it.

“Are you family?” A paramedic asked him. “Yes, yes i'm her boyfriend.” He answered but his eyes still locked on her. The paramedic let him in to travel along in the ambulance to the hospital.

He never expect he would see her in such state. Covered with blood and cuts, almost unconscious, barely any pulse on her. He reached to held her hand gently,

“Please, i can't lose you, baby, i can't.” The tears that he has been holding finally caught up. He can't cope if he has to lose her.

As they arrive at the hospital, she immediately get brought to the operating room. Logan waited outside, his head still unable to fully work. Doesn't take long til Scott and the others arrive there, they waited there with him.

“Logan, how is she? Is she going to be okay?” Erik came in rushed, his face full of worry. That's his daughter that is getting operated inside that room.

“No idea, they just brought her in.” His voice sounded rough and hoarse, probably because of the crying before everyone arrived.

While everyone was sitting in silence, waiting for any news about her, a police officer came approaching.

“Family of Nanda Lehnsherr?” He asked. This officer is the one who try to push Logan way back in the scene. But he's not alone, he's with a guy who Logan remember seeing back in the crime scene too. He has a few freshly treated cut on his face and arms but nothing much.

“I would like to ask if family would be pressing charges against Mr. ( l/n ).” The police officer asked.

“This fucking guy is who did it?” Logan stand up as he ask the officer, which alert everyone at that very second, he seems like he smell something, “You're fucking drunk, asshole?” Now his eyes are toward the drunk guy.

His claws stick out, he walks forward to the guy wanting to hurt him so bad for what he did to her. Scott stopped him by standing in front him and held back his shoulder.

“Not worth it, Logan, let's focus on her and get this guy the punishment he deserves through justice.” Scott said in a low voice, trying to calm him.

He still looks at that guy like he's gonna rip the guy's heart out of his body alive. But he did retract his claws and slowly back off to where he was.

On the other side, there's also someone that is very close to killing that guy for what he did to his daughter but he knows he needs to collect himself for her.

“Yes. We would like to fucking press charges.” Erik said in a very sharp tone as he gave the drunk guy a threatening glare.

After that the police officer left with that guy, leaving the x-men in there, still waiting for any news about her condition.

It took about 2 and a half hour until the door open, revealing the doctor coming out. They all stand in unison, anxious about the news gonna's she's about to tell.

“How is she? Is she gonna be okay?” Logan is the one who asks, his tone is a mix of worry and hopeful.

“The operation was a success. She already went through her critical condition and now we just have to wait until she wakes up.”

Those two sentences. Everyone felt relieved. For the first time after their phone call, Logan seems to finally take a breath. He thought he was gonna lose her for a moment.

“She will be moved into a room immediately.” The doctor continued. She then went back inside the operating room.

For what seems like eternity, she is finally moved to a room where they can finally see her. Her eyes closed, her face looks very peaceful as she is still in deep sleep. Yet everyone is so grateful that she made it, after what she went through.

Logan is sitting beside her, unmoving despite his friends telling him he needs some food or bath or even sleep properly, ready for her when she wakes up. He has her hand on his, softly caressing her hand, not wanting to let go.

For a whole two days Logan sat there, he kept whispering to her, asking her to wake up soon, apologising for not being there sooner, telling her how much he loves her, everything.

Even the big wolverine can eventually fall asleep after two whole days staying awake, but his hand never let her hand go even in his sleep.

Slow but surely, her eyes flutter open. She winced as her eyes were hit by the light of the lamp after being in deep sleep for days. She could feel her body felt like it was hit by a car. Her eyes roamed around, looking at the room she was in. Eventually her eyes found him, her boyfriend, sitting on a chair next to her, holding her hand.

A small smile appear on her chapped lips, she wiggle the fingers of her hand that he is holding which easily wake him up by how alert he is in his sleep.

“Baby? You awake?” His eyes beamed, he looks at her and after such a long time not seeing her beautiful eyes, he finally get too see that again.

“You smell like shit.” She said in a hoarse voice. Come to think of it, she probably should say something else after she woke up.

“Yeah, like I fucking care,” He replied with a smile on his lips. He scoots his chair closer to her bed, “How’re you feeling, bub?” His hand gently strokes her hair then moves to stroke her cheek.

“Like I just got hit by a fucking car,” She throw a terrible joke followed by a smile on her lips, “God my throat hurt so bad.” She whined, still in a very hoarse voice. It has been days since she could physically drink water, of course her throat would hurt

Logan chuckled, this girl just woke up from a coma and she could make a terrible joke. He then helped her to drink some water from the glass next to her.

He kissed her hand that is still in his, “Thought I'd lose you, baby,” Tears rolling down his cheeks. Though losing her eventually will be inevitable, he still never could be ready for when the time comes.

“Hey, James, look at me.” She softly calls him out with his first name, the one she loves to call him when she is being very affectionate.

He lifted his head up, meeting her gaze which also glazed with tears. “You won’t lose me that easily, I promise you, love.” She assured him as her fingers softly wiped his tears.

He leaned to her touch, giving her hand more kisses, “I’ll protect you, bub. From anything in this world, i’ll fucking protect you.” He promised, not only to her, but also himself. He would do whatever it takes to give his girl anything in this world.

“I know, love, I know. I love you, James.” Her eyes filled with tears as she said it. It’s a lie if she says she wasn’t scared back there, she thought she was gonna die and she was gonna die alone, without him.

“I love you too, bub.” He replied as he moves forward to give her lips a gentle and soft kiss.

I spoke to Denali's dad and apparently he's worried about Semeru cause of how stone cold he seems. I wonder if the other merfolk share the same sentiment, but he's the only one to admit it?

I don't spend too much time talking to merfolk, but like 90% of what little dialogue I get is about Semeru!

Like, "Semeru is so gloomy," "Semeru is so strict," "Don't tell Semeru I did/said X!" "That guy is always so grumpy, I've never seen him in a good mood."

Which combined with how much paler he is than every other merfolk Really makes him stand out, and definitely come off as a lot colder than other merfolk.

As for if any others are worried about him, I think you'd have to take their rank into account. Like, Agung worrying about one of his leaders is gonna come off differently than Tahat worrying about a subordinate (son figure??) or Lawu worrying about that guy around town, or Queen Nanda Devi worrying about one of her guards.

They all have different priorities, so the worry will come across differently. But no matter the sentiment, he's the talk of the town!

changeling AU ideas Damirae

I would love to read a Damirae Werewolf AU Fanfiction!!! I don't know about you guys, but I love the Alpha x Human mate ship dynamic!!! And thought it would be really cool to read about Damian being the leader of the pack and Raven as his mate.

While I was doing research on werewolves, I stumbled upon Teen Wolf fandom. And I thought it was so cool that they have different variations of “werewolf”.

It got me thinking about what animals should Damian Shapeshifting into. With the power of google I pick these animals that would be compatible with Damian.

I think it would be really cool if Damian Wayne or Al Ghul is the next in line of the gotham pack or Nanda Parbat pack. Also the heir of Wayne Enterprise or the next heir of Lazarus Pit, a multinational conglomerate empire with its own banking, weaponry, military forces and for fun a martial arts tournament. 

There are so many possibilities of how this can go. For example this could be a traditional teen/ Highschool romance. Raven received a scholarship to attend Gotham Academy, a prestigious school for the rich and famous. Raven is a bookworm/ loner type. Preferring to sit alone in the library and working on her book/ comics. I also thought it would be a really cute quirk if Raven is obsessed (in a healthy way) with romance books, movies, comics, and her dream to become a famous romance author. While Damian is Bold, self-confident, and demanding. He is the popular Kid and nicknamed as “the cold prince”.male students envy him, girls want to date him. But Damian was to focus on school academics and his future as alpha of his pack. Until one he picked up a sweet aroma coming from the library. Revealing his mate Raven. But of course it's not that easy.

I think it would be really interesting if their cultures clash. Like let say in the “changeling community” it is completely normal for 16 year old changelings to find their mates, start a family and work for their packs to provide for their family. But since Raven is human it's completely different. Because in human society Teen Pregnancy is completely frowned upon.

I also thought it would be really fascinating if Raven and Damian ideology are completely different. Like Raven wants to enjoy her life, go to college for A master's degree in library science (MLS). enjoy her youth to the fullest, and explore many romantic relationships. While Damian wants Raven to move in with the mansion/ pack, start a family (he wants 14 cubs!), and Raven to be a Stay at home mother/ Luna of the pack while he becomes Alpha of the pack/ CEO/ a Father.

just just imagine how to completely different have to try to find a middle ground. how they grow together and love each other.

I don't know what you guys think? Should Damian be the traditional werewolf or maybe a wereTiger? WereLion? WerePanther? Or something else? Do you prefer teen or adult romance? I would love to read your comments and discuss ideas!!!

Summary: A friend needs help back home

Really, you should have expected to be rudely awakened by your phone ringing loud enough to wake the dead because that’s just the way your life tended to be. Honestly, the only thing that shouldn’t have shocked you was the only thing that did: the fact that John just continued to snooze away beneath you despite the affronting noise and the way you thrashed around while trying to silence it. If your mind was more functioning, you might have traded the befuddlement about your ex-husband for concern; how much sleep had the man missed out on lately? 

Still, even half-awake you managed to hit the ‘dismiss’ button without so much as looking at the screen. Tired and annoyed, you flopped back down on John’s chest. There was just  enough of a lull between bouts of your phone shrieking that you started to nod back off before the blasted thing started back up again. 

This time, you snapped awake fully. Your phone never rang twice this close together unless there was some sort of emergency. As soon as you lifted it and actually read the caller ID, you sat up ramrod straight, voice perfectly clear when you asked, “What’s wrong?”

“It’s happening again.”

“Spirits?”

"Attached to my kid brother; I think they followed him from Nanda Parbat. I don't care about seeing them; I don't like that they’re violent and stuck to him.”

“It’s still not good that you’re still seeing them at all.”

“Chalk it up to the way I came back. Universe bullshit. Doesn’t matter. Will you come?”

“Of course. I’ll be there sometime tonight.” Your eyes slid over to John and noticed he was awake and had one eyebrow raised. “Might have a tag-along or two if you’re okay with it.”

“You trust them?”

“You could say tha,” you replied, eyes locked onto John’s.”

“Then bring them. I’ll be at the warehouse.”

“See you then.”

“Secret boyfriend?” John prompted as you got to your feet and started pulling on pants.

You laughed. “Only secret I’ve got these days is you, Johnny. He’s more like a brother. Been seeing violent spirits off and on since the universe brought him back from the dead after six months in the ground.” 

He blinked in surprise. “Not something you see everyday.”

“Not in the slightest. Anyway, he’s seen something attached to his baby brother and given the origin, I don’t blame him for wanting them gone.”

Now, he roled out of the bed and yanked on his trousers. “So where’re we headed, luv?”

You tossed him his shirt with a smirk. “Gotham.”

Zed, as it turned out, had never been to the ‘dark, gloomy cesspool that is Gotham,’ and as such decided to tag along. You suspected that she was also eager to gain more information about you while she had the chance. Miraculously, she didn’t bring up what she’d seen in the kitchen the night before, of which you were quite grateful. You didn’t know what you’d say to explain it given everything else that was currently on your mind.

So instead of questions about the fact that you’d fucked your ex-husband, she filled the time with questions about Gotham.

“So, this place is the one with all the super weird bad guys, right?”

“Yep.”

“And you’ve been there before?”

“I live there part of the time.”

“You live there? I thought John said--”

“That the place is the closest thing to Hell I’ve ever managed to find on Earth?” John cadded cheerfully.

“I never said it was nice.”

You didn’t turn around to look at her since you were driving, but from the pause, you assumed she was gaping at you. Then she asked, “And we’re going to help some random guy?”

“He’s a friend of mine, but yes. Basically.”

John turned around in his seat to ask Zed in a far-too-excited bvoice, “Do you already know about the man who runs around in a bat costume calling himself a hero?”

“What?”

“Yeah, there’s a whole family of them,” he cackled. 

‘Okay, only one of them dresses like a bat,” you argued.

“How many of these vigilantes are we talking about?”

“Well there’s the Bat himself, Batgirl, Robin, Nightwing--”

“Nightwing’s in Bludhaven these days.”

“Spoiler I think, Red Robin, Signal, and Red Hood.”

“And there’s still that much crime?”

“Some people think the crime might be because of all the vigilantes.”

“Anyway,” you cut back in, “hopefully we won’t be there long enough for you to worry about it. I try to avoid most of them.”

John scoffed as he lit a cigarette with a small tongue of hellfire. “Knowing our luck?” he questioned doubtfully.

You just groaned.

Now, you knew full well who you were going to help, but that you didn’t mean that you were expecting Red Hood to be waiting in full gear in the warehouse when you pulled the car in.

Before anyone got out, Zed just stared at the masked man through the windshield. “I thought we were trying to avoid these guys.”

“I said we were going to try to avoid worrying about them,” you corrected, unbuckling your seatbelt, “as in not getting in their way.”

“You couldn’t have mentioned that we were coming to help the bloody Red Hood?”

“I’ll explain later,” was all you said before climbing out of the vehicle. “We doing this whole thing as alter-egos?” you asked as you strolled right up to the masked vigilante.

“You sure you truest these guys?”

“I promise your shit won’t even be in the same league of weird as the rest we’ve got going on.”

“That a yes?”

“Yeah, you can trust ‘em,” you said with a smirk thrown over to John as he moved to stand beside you.

“She mentioned you came back from the dead through the Universe’s meddling,” your ex commented abruptly “If that’s the case, why do you have the stink of a Lazarus Pit on you?”

“Constantine, maybe you shouldn’t be questioning the man with the guns,” Zed muttered from John’s other side.

“Another good question from our resident psychic. I thought your lot hated guns. Aren’t you supposed to be a hero?”

Hood gave a dark chuckle as he removed his helmet.. “You know, you’re exactly like she said.”

“Handsome and devilishly charming?”

Now he removed the domino, eyes glowing a dangerous Lazarus green with his anger. “Cocky and infuriating.”

John laughed. “There’s those pretty green eyes. I’ll give you, you’re prettier to look at than the last Pit infected bastard I came across.”

“Okay boys, put ‘em away,” you interrupted. “Jace, you owe me a hug.”

With an amused huff, he squeezed you in a welcoming embrace. “You bailed on me to be with this guy?”

“World ending drama. You don’t wanna know. Jason, meet John Constantine. My ex-husband. John, Jason Todd. Basically my little brother at this point.”

“The guns are to get shit done,” Jason said in lieu of offering a handshake.

You rolled your eyes. “Not the point of us coming down here. The effects of the Pit can’t be removed without basically killing him, so we won’t be doing that.”

That made John pause the antagonistic air he’d been giving off. Clearly, he hadn’t expected to hear that; after all, Ra’s never had that sort of issue. “Alright, then whose ghosts are we trying to get rid of?”

“I’d like to know who my other guest is first, if you don’t mind.”

“Zed,” she offered along with her hand. 

You lunged to shove that hand back down to her side. “No, we’re not doing that. She’s basically a touch telepath,” you informed Jason.

He paled. “Yeah, no. Sweetheart, you don’t wanna be digging around in my head. Coming back from the dead isn’t pretty.”

You breathed a relieved sigh. You’d been in his head enough to know how bad that might have been, specifically the little part about him digging himself out of his own grade. Not lingering on it, you asked, “So where is the Littlest Assassin?”

“Upstairs. I told him, so he’d be able to keep an eye out for anything that looks like a string of bad luck.”

“And who is this boy?”

“My little brother, Damian.”

“Wait . . .” John’s eyebrows furrowed. “Jason . . . and Damian . . .” His eyes slid over to you. “You got mixed up with the goddamn Wayne family?”

Jason shared a pointed look with you before answering. “That’s a story for another time.”

You nodded in aggreance. “We’re not getting into it right now. Let’s just get Dami squared away.”

“You met the Wayne family in Tibet of all places?” John asked incredulously on the drive back to the millhouse.

“I’m not getting into it.”

“And you decided to fuck this guy,” Zed shoved the back of John’s seat, “over that tall drink of water we just left?”

“Jace is just a friend, Zed.”

“Wait, if Jason Todd is Red Hood and Damian Wayne is Robin, does that mean Batman is Bruce Wayne?”

“Yes, and if you blab about it I’ll make sure he knows who did it.”

“What the hell did you get mixed up in after we split?” John asked you over drinks in the living room after Zed retired for the evening.

“You mean after the divorce,” you pointed out between sips of your whiskey.

He rolled his eyes. “Whatever.”

“Story for another time, John. Life moved on, and that’s all you need to worry about right now.”

“We’ll I’d like to know if I’m going a have that attractive, well-muscled, well-armed lad hunting me down for doing this.”

Then his lips were on yours and your brain was shorting out for several seconds. When you parted, though, your reasoning skills flooded right back to the front of your thoughts. 

“John, we can’t do this.”

“Why not?”

It was hard to think straight when his breath was mingling with yours. 

“You know why.”

“Do we really still care? I’m damned to Hell either way.”

You searched his gaze for any doubt. “Are you sure?”

“Only thing I was more sure of was when I asked you to marry me.”

Disclaimer: It's been a while since I watched DP and the only Batman/DC stuff I've interacted with are B:TAS, the JL cartoons, and what I got from fandom osmosis so don't expect any sort of canon compliance.

In Which: the author takes advantage of the passage of time in Nanda Parbat being wonky and Danny doesn't give up, per se, but is sort of resigned to being stuck with the League of Assassins until further notice.

WHEN SOMETHING WENT WRONG WITH DANNY’S LIFE, it was usually because of one or two things: Ghosts or Vlad. And considering their truce and how even Vlad wouldn’t go this far (at least, Danny hoped), Danny was kidnapped because of ghosts. Or his association with ghosts.

Though how an organization of ninja-assassins got wind of his ‘unique’ circumstance was beyond him. The shackles they slapped on his wrists were more a formality than anything after the second time he tried to escape them with intangibility. The only reason they managed to get him contained the entire trip from Amity Park to wherever the fuck Nanda Parbat lay was because of the cocktail of drugs they pumped into his system spiked with blood blossoms.

Danny had to give it to them. The League of Assassins might not have any anti-ecto weaponry, but they did their homework.

He barely remembered the trip. He catches flashes—blurry figures and words he couldn’t comprehend. A warm hand holding his, a thumb rubbing smooth circles on the back of his palm and calloused fingers running through his hair.

When he awoke, it was in a room bigger than his bedroom. His ankle was shackled to a bedpost, and the only door leading out was locked. There was a separate room for the bathroom off to the side and a shelf stacked with books decorating the otherwise bare walls, but other than that there wasn’t much else. Not even windows.

Intangibility, he learned, wasn’t an option. The blood blossoms in his bloodstream were still in circulation, rendering his transformation useless. If his nose was right, his captors were pumping blood blossoms from the vents. The sickly sweet of the flower was faint in the cool air, but the slight red haze that persisted in the room was unmistakable.

He tried, regardless. The rings barely made it half-way before his knees buckled and he started retching all over the floor. At least his stomach was empty.

Danny doesn’t know how long he’s been in Nanda Parbat. Time moved differently here. Faster, he thought. He doesn’t really understand how or why, though sometimes he wondered what Clockwork thought of all of this.

(There are times, in the darkness and solitude of his cell, when Danny would call for Clockwork to rescue him. Quietly, so quietly, it was barely even a whisper. But Clockwork would hear it—Danny was sure he would. Clockwork helped him out before, so this time shouldn’t be all that different. But at the end of the night, nothingness would answer him. And Danny had to learn over and over again that even the Ghost of Time had his own rules to follow.)

It had taken a few days and Talia nearly biting the head off of the League’s physician for them to realize that blood blossoms would be an awful way to contain him. Effective at immobilizing him, yes, but the flowers left him about as helpless as Superman in a kryptonite cave.

“It all works out in the end,” Talia would say. “The blossoms were never going to become a long-term solution; you might end up developing an immunity to them given enough exposure.”

Though knowing now what Talia’s ‘long-term plan’ was for making sure Danny didn’t slip through the walls of the headquarters and fly across the ocean, Danny would rather take his chances with the blood blossoms.

Danny might not have been as smart as Vlad, but he was tricky and creative when he needed to be. He knows he’s powerful. And sure, he might forget some of his own abilities every now and then, but that doesn’t mean he can’t use them. In the time he’s been stuck in the Leage’s lair (and coherent), Danny had thought of a dozen escape plans, each one with a high chance of success. If he made an attempt, he could guarantee the League wouldn’t notice until he was a quarter-way across the globe.

Escaping wasn’t the problem. That would be the easy part.

His core burned at the thought of it. And it hurt—as if his entire being was dunked in a vat of dry ice and left to freeze. He hated how he was here and everything that he was protecting was far. Away.

Danny wanted to go home. Wanted to read comic books in his bed, play Doom with Tucker and Sam, sleep in class and make fun of the Box Ghost. He wants to eat his mom’s food, even if there’s a fifty-fifty chance that it would come alive and try to eat him instead. He wants to listen to Jazz try to psychoanalyze his problems. Wants to go fishing with his dad and eat his famous chocolate fudge. Wants to fly above the skies of Amity Park and touch what little he can of the universe before he’s called down again.

Amity Park is his haunt. His Home. The soft hum of the Ghost Portal in the basement a lullaby he’s listened to for so long that sleeping without it was next to impossible. Every fiber of his being craved to go back because how is he supposed to protect Amity if he isn’t there?

But to go back meant sacrificing everyone.

Danny doesn’t risk it.

(The—the last time was an accident. If Danny isn’t—if he isn’t careful, this time it may be an assassination. He refused to have his family’s death on his hands again.)

He has faith in Sam, Tucker, and Jazz to hold down the fort until he could find a way to escape. They’re smart. Smarter than him. They’ll work something out and—in a worst-case scenario, they’ll find a way to shut down the Ghost Portal to stop the ghosts from coming through.

Logic meant nothing to his ghost core, though. The next best thing to do was to drown out his worries with the League’s rigorous education.

Hand-to-hand and weapons combat. Geography. History. Dozens of foreign languages. Poisons and herbology and basic first-aid. His days are packed with new things to learn and to repeat until it’s drilled into his skull so deep he could recite the information in his sleep. (Hyosycamus niger, aka Henbane. Every part is highly toxic and can cause dizziness, stupor, insanity, and eventual death. It’s medicinal uses range from--)

The League demanded perfection. The Demon’s Head demanded even more than that.

Talia oversaw his education. Sometimes, there would be another, older, man by her side, observing his regimen with cold calculation. Whenever that man arrived, Danny’s instructors were always stricter.

His teachers made little effort to interact with him outside of their set schedule, and during his lessons they only ever answer pertinent questions. He supposed there would be other students of the League in Nanda Parbat, but he’s seen neither hide nor hair of them. His rooms (a bedroom + bathroom combo that led out into a large indoor space for training) are separate from everything else.

Danny slept alone, ate alone, and trained alone. And for a boy who has had his two best friends stuck to his side like glue for as long as he could remember, it’s a terribly lonely experience.

His shadow guards don’t count. They might as well be another piece of furniture. Another stone in the wall.

Talia was the only one that broke his new mundane routine, as much as she was the cause of it. She was his only source of companionship in this hell hole; the only one who would really speak to him. And yeah, he knew why that was. Jazz had rambled on enough about Stockholm syndrome to know that this ‘arrangement’ was Talia’s attempts at forging a bond between them. But godit’s just so hard to be stuck inside your own mind all day when. It made him think too much. Worry. (Whatifwhatifwhatifwhatif).

And then—

And then.

Danny had asked Talia a multitude of questions, but only two did she ever answer. Both asked when he was still trying to flush the drug cocktail and the blood blossoms from his system.

The first was when he asked, “Why am I here?” She answered that it was because Ra’s al Ghul, her father, wanted him. He had knowledge the Demon’s Head wanted; powers that Ra’s could only ever dream of. The man was curious—though Talia assured him over and over again that Danny wouldn’t be vivisected and studied for science.

The second answer came right after when Danny asked her “How could you be so sure?”

Talia smiled. Lacquered fingers coming up to brush away the dark strands that fell over his face. Her hands traced the curve of his jaw, cupping his cheeks to raise his eyes to hers. “Because you are my son,” she said, voice honey sweet.

He jerked from her hold.

Burned by it.

“You’re lying,” he spat. “I’m already someone else’s son. Try again.”

Talia let her hands drop to her sides. “You are my son.” She took a step closer towards him. Steady. Firm. “That is why you are here.”

“I don’t believe you.”

A pitying smile. “Be that as it may, you cannot change the truth.” She approached him, slowly backing him against the wall before she reached out to tilt his chin upwards. Some traitorous part of Danny’s mind catalogued her features. Made connections that shouldn’t exist. “I have carried you in my womb, Daniel. You were a part of me for so very long and I loved you more with each passing day. You are of my body and of my blood—not matter how much you may deny it.”

“No.” He pushed her hands away and raked his hands over his hair. “You’re lying.” She must be. They don’t look alike. Not at all. Everyone always said he was his dad’s—Jack Fenton’s—exact copy. Black haired and blue eyed and sharp-jawed. Awkward but well-meaning and with a heart of gold, his mother said. It was once of the facts of life; Danny took after his dad, and Jazz took after their mom. Simple as that.

(There is a memory resurfacing from his early childhood that Danny is desperately trying to repress again. Memories of kids teasing him on the playground, innocently cruel in the way only children can be as they tried to convince him he was adopted. That his skin looked nothing like his parents’. Dusky where his parents and sister were fair. He went home crying to his parents that same day, and they soothed away his worries with hushed words and a well-timed distraction.)

He asked no more questions after that. Talia was lying to him for some reason, and no answer she could give would be trustworthy anyways. What little of him he could see in her was only a figment of his own imagination. His mind playing cruel tricks.

Then his hopes were dashed aside when Talia showed him a picture of his father a day later.

The man in the photo looked like him. Black haired and eyes the same shade of too-bright blue. There were differences, of course. The man in the photograph was fairer, unlike Danny. He was taller and broader where Danny was lean and lanky. But despite this and all the other minute differences, this man who was supposed to be Danny’s biological father looked like him.

The same slant of the brow. The same shape of the eyes. The way the man held himself with this sense of gravitas and power that Danny couldn’t yet do in his awkward teenage years but had seen before. In a monster another man.

Danny’s future self was terrifying in its inhumanity, but it didn’t take that much of an imagination to know that he looked almost exactly like the man in the picture.

Lady Lazarus (Sara Lance x Reader)

It wasn’t everyday that you saw somebody from your past. Especially not hundreds of years into your past. However, if you had been certain of one thing, it was that Sara Lance was an easy exception. She had stolen the heart of the demon’s daughter and come back from the dead multiple times. You’d even heard her name in Hell a few times before you managed to escape. Of course, it’d be her that came to try and kill you. 

“Stop it right there!” Sara shouted at you. You slowed in your tracks and turned around to face her. 

“They don’t normally stop,” a tall man next to her whispered. 

“They do at the cry of the canary,” you said as you bowed in front of Sara. Sara pulled you up onto your feet and hugged you tightly. “It has been far too long.” 

“You do know that you’re causing all sorts of chaos right?” Sara asked and you shrugged. “Well, can you, like, stop it please?” 

“I’ll think about it,” you said with a wink. “If you’ll have a drink with me.” 

“A drink? I think I can manage that. You guys go back to the ship,” Sara said and you brought her into your hideout. “Is this-?” 

“Nanda Parbat. The real estate was easy enough to get,” you said and Sara sat down while you got the drinks. “I didn’t know what to do with this place, but it was my home.” 

“It was your prison,” Sara said and you handed her drink to her. “You were held captive here.” 

“Maybe, but I was given a purpose here. My curse became my gift here,” you told her. “I saw lives begin here and love blossom. Perhaps I even found feelings of my own.” 

“Nyssa hated it when I’d stop and talk to you. Even though she insisted on sitting with you every night,” Sara said and you chuckled. 

“Our love was a sisterly one. The way that I looked at you was what bothered her,” you admitted. “I was the sister that Talia should have been in her eyes, but I also wanted her girlfriend.” 

“I’m a catch. I don’t blame you,” Sara joked. “I must say, you’re looking good for an ancient being with no Lazarus pool.” 

“I never needed the pool. Why need something when you can become it for yourself,” you said and Sara tilted her head at you. “You could stay with me. I can make you like me. We can stay here forever.” 

“I have a duty to do. I’m a captain, very serious business. I wouldn’t be opposed to adding Lady Lazarus to my crew though. You can never have too many assassins,” Sara offered. 

“I would love you,” you said and Sara smiled. “It is lonely here.” 

“I know.” Sara took your hand and held onto it all the way to her time ship. You had once found your purpose with the League of Assassins, but now you had the chance to discover a new one with Sara.

Ever since you could remember, Sara Lance has always been on your mind. At first it was just wanting to have sleepovers, make friendship bracelets and hold each other’s hands. You and Sara were two peas in a pod, of course that prompted for a friendship to grow between you and Laurel.

She always went to your ice skating competitions ever since you broke out into a tap dance when she was Peter Pan.

It didn’t hit you that you wanted her more than a friend until you hit seventh grade.

High school hit and the two of you weren’t as close. Sara was boystruck and fitted in with the popular crowd. You on the other hand was right in the middle, people around school knew of you and some didn’t. You weren’t one of those awkward kids, neither were you a nerd, jock, or cheerleader. You’ve dated men and women and hoped that those feelings you hung onto was forgotten.

When Sara’s supposed death from the Queen’s Gambit made the news it took a toll on you. You were there for Laurel as she was there for you. While Sara trained on Nanda Parbat you fulfilled your dream of being an Olympic champion for ice skating.

News that Sara was alive brought you so much joy that you won your first gold medal. You didn’t have much time to go back to Star City due to your training. And apparently when you were able to have enough time she was on a time traveling ship saving history.

And here you were now standing in the middle of an ice rink in leggings and a tank top waiting, for a reason you didn’t know why.

“Ava, I’m scared.” A familiar voice whined and you heart started to pound a million miles a minute.

“Come on, you can defeat an immortal tyrant, the Legion of Doom, a ten-foot time demon and an actual demon but you’re afraid to ice skate?” Ava questioned and dragged Sara towards the entrance of the rink.

You stroked your way there and snow plowed stopped while Sara waddled and held onto the wall.

“My friend (Y/N) was an Olympic gold medalist.”

 You nodded in agreement.

“I can’t believe you knew (Y/N) (Y/L/N). She’s like the Michael Phelps of ice skating, next to Yuna Kim,” Ava freaked out.

“(Y/N) and I went through elementary, junior high and high school together. She jumped on stage and tapped dance with me.”

“That’s very cute, Sara.” Ava frowned with a hint of jealousy and pulled Sara through the rink.

You clapped your hands together ready to skate beside the two. Ava and Sara took two small strides before Sara clung onto the wall.

“H-how about you go while I make my way on the wall,” Sara’s knuckles turned white with the deadly grip on the rail.

“Well I’ll take a page out of your book Sara, what’s the first thing you learn in martial arts?”

“How to fall,” Sara answer easily and regretted it immediately when she saw the sly grin on yours and Ava’s face. “No. No! I don’t want to fall!”

“Falling is part of learning Sara.”

After much convincing you and Ava finally got Sara to the middle of the ice. You smiled at Sara as she waved her arms to catch her balance.

“Reach out your hand in front of you then place them on your knees,” you circled around Sara.

Sara fell onto her butt with a pout and plowed the ice with her skates like a little kid. You were about to help her stand up when Ava kneeled beside Sara, planted a kiss on her lips and pulled her up. You watched from a distance as Ava fell on top of Sara, laughed and cuddled up to each other.

Your heart ached and the smile on your face disappeared. As quickly as your smile faded it reappeared though not with the usual sparkle in your eyes. You skated over to the two.

“Just kneel with one foot bent, place both your hands on that knee and push yourself up,” Ava explains and demonstrated.

“I don’t think you guys need me, you’ve got a skater right here,” you explained trying to keep your smile on your face.

They didn’t need you at all. Ava was an expert, I guess the Advanced Variant Automation made her good at everything. Sara and Ava skated with their hands interlocked while you skated behind them.

You could’ve told Sara so many times before. The fear of rejection and the fear of losing a friend haunted your mind. You didn’t even know Sara was into women, but it didn’t matter cause while you were caught up in not losing a friend you realized how little you actually know Sara.

It had to be destiny screwing with you, a reason why Ava was a huge fan of yours and dated Sara. That’s just the biggest coincidence ever.

You hands were held behind your back as your head slowly dropped. When you looked back at the two Ava kissed Sara on the cheek and skated away.

“Where did Ava go?” You asked when you passed Sara.

“I can’t believe she had a work emergency on date night. What about you stranger, where did you go?” You gave a confused glance.

“I was just thinking for a while,” you led Sara towards the rink entrance.

“Why did you have to go?” Sara braked on her tips of her blade, but due to her momentum she fell.

“Hawk stops are definitely not for you,” you commented as you kneeled beside her.

“What happened to my old, quiet but bubbly friend?”

“Look Sara we all grow and we all change.”

“I don’t know what to do, I don’t have you or Laurel.”

“You went from Peter Pan to Happily Ever After.”

Sara’s smile brightened and you knew you could never tell Sara about your old rekindled flame.

“Ava’s so great. When she’s in the room she has a spot light that shines only on her. She makes my day, my palm sweats, I get butterflies in my stomach like during Peter Pan, I feel giddy and I am infatuated by her. Look, look at this,” Sara pulled out a ring from her coat. “I just wish you could be there.”

Your heart sunk and was shattered by the pressure. Your hands opened and closed in fists from the pins and needles you felt. You felt suffocated by your own hole that you dug.

“It’s beautiful Sara, she’ll love it.” You gave Sara a side hug before you pulled her up. “Come on Bambi we got get you up and proposing to your girl,” and that was it, that would be the biggest self-sabotage anyone could make for themselves.

Ava and Sara shared their first dance in the center of all their friends and family. You stood in the back with a bittersweet smile.

A cold hand touched your bare shoulder and a voice brought you back to reality.

“You didn’t tell her.”

“I think deep down she knows, but who am I to break her happiness.”

“A friend she’s never going to see again,” Laurel spat with sarcasm.

“Sometimes not knowing is a lot better than knowing.”

“Whatever you’re a fool.” Laurel rolled her eyes. “Come on, I came to pick you up so you’re not alone on the train to heaven. I don’t want to stay in the world between worlds.”

You placed your hands in your suit pants and turned to give a final glance at the women who stole your heart.

“Goodbye, Sara.”

A/N: I just wanted to make it clear that the oc didn’t suicide. You can give her any other reason for her death but not suicide.

List of Olicity Themes

I wrote a list of Laurel and Oliver themes but I thought I should update the Oliver and Felicity themes.  I mention them a lot in my reviews but it has been awhile since I have listed all of them.  

A little background. Laurel and Oliver’s theme “Loss and Regrets” occurred in the pilot twice. It makes sense. As a show, it was clear that this was the main endgame couple so of course they get a theme that can be used throughout the series.  Blake Neely did the same with WestAllen in the Flash. The title wasn’t given to the theme until the season ended and the soundtrack was put together but it does sum up how it was used throughout the series: both Oliver and Laurel looking back at what was with regret (Played 5 times in Season 1, 4 times in dream or flashback sequences out of 12 total). 

Oliver dated several women in Season 1 (Helena, McKenna) but any music during those scenes were Oliver themes used in several other different moments. Laurel and Tommy got a theme “Surprise Me” (1x20) used 3 times in Season 1. The music used for their break-up “Find Him” was also used when Laurel kissed Oliver in 1x23 which reinforced why Tommy broke up with her and the love triangle. 

However, starting in 2x01, Oliver and Laurel had a new theme “I don’t blame you.” This theme throughout Season 2 was about how they can’t go back to who they were together. While “Loss and Regrets” was constantly looking at the past and who they had been, trying to match that with the present, “I don’t blame you” was primarily about letting go of each other romantically.  They may care about each other but that part of their life was done. As this relationship was disintegrating in Season 2, a new small theme emerged with Felicity and Oliver, the first time the two of them had any sort of theme apart from Team Arrow: “No Choice”. 

This theme occurred 3 times:

2x06 - “Because of the life I lead”

2x07 - “No choice” “There was no choice to make”

3x05 “So Much More” “You know how I feel about her”

(I promise the Olicity theme list is underneath the line!)

It was the first hints of a romantic theme between Oliver and anyone else besides Laurel. It give hints about how Oliver felt about Felicity but also had a tinge of sadness, not letting either of them delve into their feelings for each.

Oliver then dates Sara but all the themes are related to either Sara or Oliver without a specific love theme for them. Then life greats crazy with Slade, Moira is killed, Thea is angry and leaves, Laurel finds out Oliver is the Arrow and then is kidnapped by Slade as the woman he loves. It is at this point that those hints of Oliver’s feelings for Felicity come back out in 2x23 as he tells her that Slade took the wrong woman.  At this point, the Olicity theme is born: “The one I love.” From then on, Felicity is the only woman for Oliver and that theme is used quite a few times throughout the show as they head towards marriage and now a kid.

I headcanon that LONELIEST BABY is Muse song that is actually dedicated to Honoka. Because of the very first line~ >w< (and the rest) You can feel their bonds and emotions of friendship oozing out of their voices and lyrics. (Of course, if you’re into HonoHarem, you can see it that way too)

If you know the song, this thought will run through your mind: "But they sang boy." 

So this is why. They do know their fans obviously consists of males too, so the lyrics having "boy" in it is to hold gratefulness and care for their fans, AND to mislead everyone into thinking that it was just for the fans/could be about a guy, when it's actually eight muses shout-out/plea to Honoka.
