it's "uno apologizer" anon again :"""D sorry for turning your question box into "anon debate box" but it's kinda fun
biggest questions for jyugo are: is there really place or person he could call "home" and would he able to keep his identity at all since elf consuming him
we learned that both sides: shiki under mashiro and kazu under hiiro - quite radical in their goals and methods
both don't bat an eye on casualties as long as there potential gain for them
mashiro most likely would use jyugo to create new world for togabito
hiiro practically tortured jyugo in order to keep close eye on him and to suppress elf
there's no "good" side, at least not yet, there no place where jyugo would be safe and with current information I don't see any good outcome for him
it's paradox of his existence
Pls pls keep sending me nanbaka asks its like enrichment for me.
I'd say the easy answer for the story to take would be that he escapes into the real world, out of the hands of these two warring factions.
But. The Outside in Nanbaka is constantly vilified as bad. Not in an organized sort of way. Just bad.
Noriko, Kujaku, Zakuro, Liang, Tsukumo, Kojiro, Sophia Valentine. These are but a scant number of people who were hurt by 'the normals'. (Zakuro is a little debatable bc we don't know how much of a role Kaazu played in the people hating him)
Obvs they did these things bc we need conflict that didn't come from either Shiki or Kaazu. But there's a precedent now for the main public to be just as shitty, if not more so.
I think following the patterns of the story, and what themes it highlights, Jyugo will eventually have to pick this third option.
He has to take the bad with the good, and accept it for what it is, because at least it's not an entire organization trying to control his very consciousness.
Because at least he got to make that choice on his own, that way.

Questions?!
Hahahahhahahhahahah surprise! I'm alive!
PSA: MAJOR manga spoliers. The last couple of chapters have got me SLIPPIN.
Why does the Man with the Scar look so lame?
It might have the extreme amount of face hiding and the extreme want by all of the characters to answer the big over arching question "WHO IS THE MAN WITH THE SCAR??!?" But I was quite disappointed when I found out, he looks like just some random guy. Like just an average Joe. Like shops at Walmart and wears grey t-shirts and goes on morning jogs and isn't 10 zillion years old. Like Isou, who is REALLY OLD, he has old man vibes, and he does look old, and he doesn't look.. basic. The man with the Scar looks basic and boring and unexciting and lame. Like Jyugo looks more exciting than this guy. I was expecting like world war two veteran old guy vibes not random guy vibes. HE'S SO LAME. My expectations were so high. I was disappointed and left wondering "is that it?" There's nothing else? When someone constantly wears a gas mask people assume he has something to hide but he looks fine. And lame.
Do Elfica cells work like the hormone thing in Black Widow?
Quick prefise, I use the term Elfica cells because that's what the people on the Fandom wiki call the cells, (if you need someone to help update the site, let me know) and also, the hormone thing in Black Widow is this think that the Russian mob guy did to make all of the widows unable to punch him.
Wouldn't this make total sense? Like is he punchable by the people he controls? This one's more of a theory but, hey, this is my blog and I shall blog what I wish.
How does Ishal have a face?
Ok, so if you don't know who Ishal is he is this guy:
He's the *throws ancient grecian architecture at you* guy, that's his thing, and I respect the hustle, but since this guy is supposed to the the cinematic parallel to Mushashi in the eye removal category, how does this guy still have a face? Like if someone drills into your face, how are your eyes the only thing that are gone? What about your nose, and your mouth, and WHY DOESN'T THIS KID NOT HAVE A CRATER IN HIS FACE?
(I already know the answer to this question, and I just put it one here for content, but also it is a miracle that if the said circumstances took effect, he would be able to talk, or breathe, or hear or function or not be dead.)
Why did team elf just have Ishal's eyes hanging out in a jar?
This statement comes from the second most recent episode where they had some pinkish red eyeballs just hanging out in a jar. I spent most of the week that chapter 410 came out worrying about if my dear Sofia was ok, and that team elf would forever feel my unending rath, but THANK GOD that was not the case!!! HALLELUJAH!
But another question stems which is where did they find the eyes, why are they in a jar, why was Kujaku shaking them around like they where one of those I-SPY random object columns that your grandma has for some reason, just regular eye in jar questions. Did they capture him just to return his eyes? Who knows because this question will hopefully be answered tomorrow! Because since I am cought up, I don't have any more questions. So now I am contemplating what I will do when Nanbaka ends, BUT LETS NOT TALK ABOUT THAT! I hope y'all have a fantabulous weekend and ta ta!

What do you think about any of the antagonists in Nanbaka?
I already talked about how I felt about Elf and The Man with the Scar, with them being awful people and that’s the point, so I don’t hate them. Plus, I love the mystery surrounding them. So I’ll try and do a quick rundown on my thoughts on the other members of Team Elf.
Note; I haven’t read all the events of Part 3, so my thoughts are pretty vague on them.
Isou - The only member I was truly introduced to, aside from Elf and the Man with the Scar, and I don’t like him. His “wolf in sheep’s clothing” approach to Noriko and Houzuki actually scared me more than Elf and Scar Man, because at least with them, you know what to expect from them.
Fourth - Not to say here, expect I think Fourth is probably the most underrated Team Elf member, because I’m pretty sure the only bara the fandom likes is Enki. I think his design is pretty cool, though. I think he might have a thing going on between him and Kujaku, since they seem to get along, but I could be wrong, and it’s just purely platonic.
Mei - I think Mei terrifies me more than Elf, because of how merciless he is with harming others. I mean, Elf is too, but Mei seems more unhinged. Seeing what he did to Jenny and Ikkaku, I’d be more terrified to run into Mei than the other members. And yet, that doesn’t stop me from thinking he’s hot.
Ido - Basically, a cuter and slightly more approachable version of Mei. Seriously, the 2nd Best Boy of Team Elf. 💖
Ikkaku - Enki and Noriko’s bioengineered lovechild. And he’s basically the Buttercup to Musashi’s Blossom, and Kojiro’s Bubbles.
Kojiro - (wipes tears) How is he a villain?! He’s too kind, sweet, and adorable! Seriously, he’s Team Elf’s Best Boy! 💖💖💖
Manji - He reminds me of a hyperactive puppy, and I find that so adorable!
Six - Not much to say on him. He just seems like your typical angsty teen. Also, aren’t people with braces not supposed to chew gum?
Yakumo - I think his design caught me off guard more than Kojiro’s did, but more negatively. I HATE spiders, but he seems pretty chill, so he’s alright in my book.
Kujaku - The only female member of Team Elf. I like her design and her motherly personality towards the other members. She, along with Kojiro, have one of the saddest backstories in Nanbaka.

Content Warnings for Nanbaka
Nanbaka is a web manga created by Sho Futamata that follows the residents of cell 13 of Nanba Prison's building 13, specifically prisoner number 15 "Jyugo" as he searches for the man who experimented on him in the past in order to exact his revenge. The comic starts off as a very lighthearted comedy but quickly takes a nosedive into a more dramatic shounen style, although it still keeps its humor throughout. The main themes the series explores are "What defines a human?", "Is one person capable of deciding the morality of another's actions?", and "How does a corrupt system corrupt those in it?".
The series is reaching its 400th chapter soon and I've finally gotten around to trying to make a cw warning list for this series, but of course since it's so long I'm probably going to forget at least a few so if anybody notices a warning missing feel free to add it on. And with that I'll get to it.
Series Wide Warnings
Gore- Sho is not afraid to draw detailed gore for her series and Nanbaka is no stranger to having extremely bloody fights and graphic depictions and descriptions of injuries. There are multiple instances where cut in half torsos or severed limbs are shown, and considering the series is fully-coloured, if you dislike seeing realistic gore then it's best not to read Nanbaka.
Human experimentation- This is a topic extremely important in the plot of Nanbaka and is the driving force behind a lot of characters motivations. This is first touched upon during the new years tournament arc with Jyugo and Musashi but as the series progresses we see more and more characters pop up that have ties to this. Namely Team Elf which are both the people responsible for the experiments and test subjects themselves, of which a few members are minors.
Child abuse/neglect- A part of many characters backstories. Sometimes it's only subtly touched upon, sometimes it's talked about in detail. Depends on the character.
Abuse of prisoners- Extremely prevalent in the Enki arc, as the building 5 prisoners bring up the abuse they faced at a previous prison in which Enki was also a guard. It's also not uncommon to see Hajime hit Jyugo or another cell 13 prisoner when frustrated.
Body horror- There's a good bit of body horror thrown in here and there with Nanbaka, such as the jiangshi dolls or Dread's face.
Minor warnings
Religious abuse- In Noriko's backstory there is some vague religious abuse in the form of everyone believing her to be the reincarnation of a religious figure.
Fire- When Musashi is first introduced he is seen wielding flames and in his backstory you see burning buildings and he himself getting burned. After the new years tournament arc he no longer can wield flames.
Child kidnapping- Briefly mentioned in Samon's backstory, extremely important in Tsukumo's backstory.
Suicide- Touched upon in Kujaku's backstory.
Mind control- In multiple instances we see Elf literally insert himself into another's mind, forcing them to do things that they don't want to.
Drugs, drug addiction, and drug withdrawal- It's mentioned that Nico was first imprisoned for being a carrier for the drug market where he lived, although he was never known to use any. After being imprisoned in Nanbaka he was put on many different medications to cope with his illnesses and has become addicted, others sometimes calling him a junkie. During the Enki arc we see the affects of his drug withdrawal.
Organ harvesting- Its mentioned that while Upa was in the mafia his organs were stolen and sold off by Hachiman.
Misc warnings
If you choose to read the fan made translation, then in some of the earlier chapters the word queer is used as an insult towards Kiji, which was a poor choice of translation since drag queen would be more accurate to the original wording. This phrasing isn't used in the official translation that can be found in the english comico app but the official translation is far behind where the fan translation is.
#Alright done#I know that I've probably forgot some but this series 400 chapters and I can't skim through all of them in a timely manner so#wanted to make this for a while but didn't have time to#nanbaka#prince's speech#My stuff

Since it does say ask anything.. Do you have any unpopular or popular opinions on characters or the anime itself? Who’s your least favorite and most favorite character?? Do you like the team elf?(idk what they’re call:,) ) if so who’s the best member? Im sure not only me but a lot of people who love to know some of your confessions:DD
Oh? So we’re asking me questions now? Welp, here we go!
Unpopular Opinions;
I actually like Inori, and it’s something I was never willing to admit since I’m in the minority here! His design was a bit off putting at first glance, but it’s grown on me. I didn’t really mind him at the beginning and hated him for being a “traitor” at the beginning of the Building 5 arc. But then came Chapter 110, with his interactions with the other guards, staring that Enki is nothing like Hajime, in a good way, and him challenging Enki at the end. All that began to make me change my mind. And then Chapter 117, where he confessed that he still believed that Enki couldn’t have been a traitor, and that he was the reason why Enki escaped. The fact that Inori was trying to solve everything on his own really made me sympathize with him. That was a dumb mistake, but he still tried to fix things, even costing him his left arm. Plus, his words to Samon in Chapter 146 really won me over. So yeah, I like Inori. He’s altogether underrated quality trash.
Episode 7 is actually my least favorite episode of Nanbaka. It’s not Tsukumo’s past I didn’t like, his backstory was pretty tragic. But what made me hate it is where it was placed in the line of episodes. Episode 6 ended with Jyugo activating his sword arms, ready to attack. Then the next episode, the whole New Year’s Tournament arc in the anime gets derailed out of nowhere with Tsukumo’s backstory. Sure, we resume in episode 8, but all tension is lost by the return. Episode 7 is the equivalence of “Escapism” from Steven Universe, where it tears all tension between two monster episodes.
Least Favorite Character(s);
I was originally going to say Elf or The Man with the Scar, because anytime either one reappears in the story, I get a feeling of dread wash over me. They both ruined Jyugo and Musashi’s lives and led Noriko and Enki to their deaths. But that’s expected of them, since they are the central antagonists of the story. Still hate them though. So I’m going with Hachiman here. When I first saw Hachiman, I called him “Pig Satan” before learning his name. God, this guy is cruel, greedy, and downright despicable. The fact that Liang, Upa, and Qi were all involved with Hachiman made me feel sorry about them. Not a simple shred of my sympathy belongs to this asshole. Had it not been for Berserk!Nico and Qi, Liang, Upa, and Rokuriki would have been killed by him. I’m glad he was revealed to be killed off at the end of the arc, because I wouldn’t be happy to see him again at all.
I WAS going to say Mao as well, because what he said to Samon about him going to betray Nanba like Enki because they’re related, really pissed me off. But I can deal that he blames himself for Noriko’s death, so I left him alone.
Favorite Character(s);
I like a lot of characters from Nanbaka, but if I had to choose just one, I pick;
Samon Gokuu 🍨🧡🐵💚⛩
Okay, so Samon wasn’t always my favorite character. I actually found Samon a bit annoying at the beginning of the series, but when the Building 5 arc started, my opinion of Samon changed quick. When I learned why Samon hated Hajime, it really made sense to me. I also love his design and his relationships with the other members of Building 5. I just gain a dumb smile whenever Samon appears in the manga. I really love him to death and I even consider him as the most attractive characters in the show. Yes, even more than Uno, Trois, and Honey!
My #1 favorite character used to be Uno, but to me, he’s a bit overrated. Don’t get me wrong, I like Uno, but his behavior turns me off at times, like the way he treats Seitarou. I even have an unpopular opinion on him where I stated that I think he should have sat out the Building 5 arc instead of Rock.
Team Elf;
I don’t have too much of an opinion on Team Elf, since I only read the English translated manga, and I don’t read Japanese. I already know who each member is, but I don’t know much about them. I think this is the best way to describe them in my eyes;
❤️ Love - Kojiro, Ikkaku, Manji, Ido
🙂 Okay - Fourth, Six, Yakumo, Kujaku
🤬💩 Die in a hole - Elf, The Man with the Scar, Isou
😈🤤 Fuck you (in both way) - Mei
I actually do post my own confessions every one in a while on this blog, with it stating “submitted by @lily-and-jasper” at the end, of you scroll through the confessions. Well, I’m glad I would share my opinions with you guys.
