I had the most god-awful day today but I’m home in my new pjs & ready to devour my sour gummy cherries & read my second spooky season tbr book & maybe I won’t walk into the ocean after all
#well it was a shit day until 3pm then I met an old uni friend for coffee#my train was over an hour late & I just barely made it to work on time#but barely made it to work means you’re already too late bc there are like a thousand things you have to do#& if it’s a stressful day (like today) you barely get any time to do the things you’re supposed to do unless you do them in the morning#& it was SO hectic I didn’t eat until 3pm#also arrived at work looking like a wet rat bc it’s so windy my umbrella was fucking useless#also I don’t live near the ocean so that’s not even an option#nana news 🗞️

I bought myself a roll one perfume for my new job & compared to the full size it was so expensive but whenever I touch it up I feel like a bad bitch who can get through her shift soooooo

I had a bomb burrito at 3am this morning and I’m convinced it only tasted good bc I was drunk but damn I wish I had leftovers

Can’t decide if I need a nap, a strong drink, a good rage-cry , or all of the above
#my train was late this morning#then it was stuck in the middle of nowhere making it run even more late#then they decided to just end our train ride at the next stop & made all of us transfer without giving any info#missed the connecting train bc the station was under construction & you could only accesss the platform from one side#then the trams weren’t working either so I had to walk to uni#to take an exam#on a subject I suck ass#thankfully the prof was lenient enough to still let me write it#PLEASE#nana news 🗞️

I’m currently reading Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen & so far this is maybe the most fun I’ve had reading one of her stories
#also I’m only 50% in so maybe it will change but I love the book so far#her style feels so tongue in cheek in this one#I love how we as readers can experience how the main character grows#& we see along with her the changes the other characters go through#like her friend turning on her & the remarks that at first didn’t seem all that bad suddenly becoming increasingly mean#& our heroine slowly takes notice & draws away#UGH it’s so good#ALSO there’s this guy & he keeps talking about horses & carriages#& it’s like the equivalent to car guys LMAO#just going on & on about what he changed & why his carriage is better than others#I was laughing when i realized that miss Austen just described the then version of a car guy hahahah#nana news 🗞️

One of my favorite things about my family is that we love a haul. Groceries, clothes, home decor doesn’t matter what it is, we keep it in the bag until everyone is home & then we show off what we got. Even our dog gets involved lmao
