Starbound pirates Ariel leaves her island bc she thinks her boring little homeland can’t keep up with her thirst for knowledge. She meets some researchers from Ohara, stopping by to resupply. They tell her about their quest, to find and preserve knowledge and she’s hooked! They don’t tell her about the ponegliffs but she overhears them one night. She doesn’t completely understand but the mystery of it all just adds to how much she wants to leave the island and sail and learn!

When she’s finally old enough to make her way to Ohara, she hears about the Buster call on her way there. She’s stopped on an island when she hears people talking about it. It’s already in the papers and she can’t believe it. That’s when she remembers the ponegliffs. And even though she doesn’t fully understand she has this feeling that it’s not the whole story. Why would scholars want to destroy the world government? And if they did, why? What did they know about the world government that would lead them to such extreme actions. And why did everyone in Ohara have to die?

It really informs how she sees the marines, the world government and why she doesn’t mind pirates all that much. If anything, at this point she thinks that pirates and the marines are two sides of the same coin. That people with strength and resources get to do what they want and everyone else is stuck in the middle, dealing with the consequences of their actions and trying to make a life around it. She’s more willing to give pirates grace bc of the way the world is but she definitely hates some of them.

My scent would evoke pure nostalgia. Time standing still like you are lost in memories and dreams….there is a heavy violet note with hints of warm vanilla milk, bitter almond, cashmere, earl grey tea, and subtle wintery pine wood

hybrid/omegaverse scentboard

SMELLS LIKE… patchouli and toasted vanilla mixed with lavender, the lavender and patchouli take turns being the overbearing scent, but the vanilla is always there. subtle notes that bring out the Big 3 are bergamot, sandlewood, and black pepper. a strong/loud smell that is impossible for your senses to ignore, but over time it comes to feel like something you wouldn’t mind drowning in.
