"i was just scared." the older boy mumbled, leaning away from namgyu and wiping his eyes quickly. "sometimes it can get scary y'know?- feel a bit better now."

it was like a weight lifted off thanos' chest. the weight and fear seemed to be lifted. he didn't feel 100% but he felt at least a little bit. maybe 50%

"can i kiss you?" his voice barely a whisper. eyes scanned over namgyus face, looking for something - looking for regret, for disgust. thanos never had a boyfriend before. as much as he boasted. he was nervous. would namgyu decline or reject him? his drugged filled mind was working overtime, fear and dread filling his stomach. he didn't wait for namgyus reply, dragging the boy back down to him by the shirt, kissing him roughly on the lips. it was rough and filled with desperation and need.

he wanted this. he wanted this so badly. hands made their way up to namgyus hair, fingers tangled in the brown greasy hair as thanos pulled slightly, trying to deepen the kiss.

thanos ears twitched as he opened his eyes. the room was pitch black, the sound of distant snores from other players could be heard.

thanos slowly opened his eyes, feeling his heart quicken up. there was someone sitting at the end of his bunk. shadow covering their face. was someone up here with him? he knew some of the players on the other side were planning an attack. were they starting with him first.

the sound of the heartbeat echoed in his ears as he felt the weight of the figure leave his bed, slowly climbing down the ladder. leaving out a small breath, thanos instinctively reached for the small locket around his neck.

it wasn’t there. it was gone. thanos sat up quickly, eyes darling around the room as he adjusted to the darkness. small light could be seen around the room. just barely making out the figure what seemed to be walking quietly away from thanos’s bunk.

it was namgyu.

namgyu moved swiftly down the ladder, letting out a slow breath, convinced he was in the clear. just a few more steps, and he’d be back in his own bunk.

but then, a shift in the air made him pause.

his instincts flared, and he turned his head slightly— only to lock eyes with thanos.

even in the darkness, he could see the way thanos sat rigidly in his bed, his eyes wide, his hand still gripping at his now-empty neck.

so, he had woken up after all.

a slow smirk curled at namgyu’s lips, amusement dancing in his expression. he tilted his head just slightly, as if to taunt thanos further, whispering— 'yeah, i took it. and you didn’t think i had the balls, did you, bro?'
