i keep thinking about post game aus where Davesprite survives(AS HE SHOULD HAVE) and the whole,,, Name issue that creates theres 4 things ive seen ppl do 1. keep the name Davesprite(feels dehumanizing af, makes him being not the 'Real Dave' part of his core identity) 2. change his name(can make sense as a part of self discovery and reclaiming ur own identity, trans coded, But also again, kinda legitimizes his whole identity issues at the same time, he shouldnt have to compromise his identity just cus some fucked up shit happened 2 him, hes just as much Dave as Dave is) 3. give Davesprite a nickname (can be cute but again, prioritizes the other daves identity as dave) 4. call them both Dave(validating, but can get confusing af(especially in written works)) i believe i have found a solution tho give them middle names

Thinking about how Gromph had a rat familiar and he's lived for centuries and she's not still with him. There are periods of time where he simply just doesn't have a familiar at all, and sure like, probably some of that might just be forgetting or canon not quite matching up or someone goofing on fact-checking but idk. Even a well-cared for domestic rat only lives 2-4 years on average, and there's no real canon indication either way (from what I can tell) that familiars are Always Immortal or that a potential elongated lifespan doesn't take a toll on the animal, especially if they're short-lived.

There's just something very soft about the idea that a man who buckled down and was intent on surviving for a very long time chose animals that have very short lifespans, are clever, sweet and intelligent in defiance of common stereotypes, and are looked down on as vermin. Like I'm sure some of that was practicality but.... yknow.

We've handled plenty of strong Pokemon at the Daycare Pokemon Center, though none that weren't already in the Pokedex. In fact, we currently have a mythical Pokemon at the Daycare Pokemon Center with us, Diancie.

If you've found something the Pokedex can't identify, I'd suggest you speak to a local professor or begin doing some historical reading on the reigon you're in. Good old-fashioned books can be full of wonders!
