Nam-gyu and you were a couple for the last eight years. But after you decide you had enough of his anger issues, you leave him and try to be happy on your own. Oh, how naïve you are.
Author's note: Okay, everyone.😩 I know you're waiting for the next part of "Your girl" and trust me, I am, too! I'm sorry that I haven't come up with it yet, but I needed to get my mind off of it for a moment, because I don't want to just write anything and publish it like that - the story means too much to me. I can't publish it unless I'm happy with it, but I promise you, I'm working on it. Until then, I started to furiously hit the key board and this happened. Whatever this is, it is Part 1 of it and I'm doing a Part 2, I just don't know when yet. I love you! 🤍 Lana
Loving Nam-gyu wasn’t exactly the easiest thing in the world.
In fact, it was almost impossible on most days.
But there was a part of you, a thing, a quiet voice – something that needed to be reassured, that felt like maybe you were the problem.
There had been good days, hadn’t there? Your birthday and the way he woke you up with pancakes every year. Of course they turned out horrible and were barely edible. They were raw on the inside and somehow, he still managed to burn them. But he made them for you. The memory still made you smile, despite everything.
Then there was the day you had your big ballet performance. You had spent so many months rehearsing, trying to be perfect. You went all Natalie Portman on that performance. Since the moment you’d been told you got to play Odette, you were fire and flame, spending every waking moment trying to be everything you pictured in your head. It was hard, very hard even. But you had the great hope that, if maybe you did well enough, they would come.
Your family would come and watch. They’d finally show you that they did indeed love you, that you weren’t just a burden or an accident. They would come and they would be proud of you. Your father would set his work phone down, your mother her pills. They would be there. For you.
But of course, they didn’t. You should have known better. It was your own fault, hoping and praying for something that was never going to happen. You should have known.
And still, the moment the curtain lifted and you glanced along the rows and rows of people, you felt disappointed. But you didn’t feel disappointed like normal people would, no. It was you after all. You felt devastated. You felt all of your creativity leave your mind. Your body slowly forgot the choreography. Your eyes glistened with tears. And your life was over.
You had your own issues. He had his anger. You had your world endings.
That was until the door flew open after everyone was already seated, waiting for the show to begin. A few heads turned and your gaze quickly flashed towards the now open door, revealing the face of the mysterious newcomer. He was out of breath and his hair was a mess, his cheeks glowing red and the look in his eyes pleading.
It was Nam-gyu.
You had just had the greatest argument of your life so far, throwing around dishes and screaming your lungs out at each other. Not even twelve hours had passed since then, so you were more than sure that he wouldn’t come. After all, he was the least reliable person you knew, alongside your family. And that fight had been particularly bad. You actually didn’t expect to ever see him again.
But there he was, his appearance disheveled and his eyes pleading with you. Pleading with you to forgive him, pleading with you to dance.
Dance.
You remembered the way you felt. The way your disappointment suddenly turned into something different, something hopeful and warm.
Something good.
He was good.
He was yours.
And you were his.
In that moment, there was nothing else. Everything around you faded into a dark cloud and all you could focus on was him and the way he stood in the middle of the audience, staring up at you. The world was quiet and everything smelled like flowers. The perfection you were striving for was suddenly there and it had nothing to do with your performance.
It was a slow dance, slow and sensual, between your souls.
Until suddenly the music started and your body remembered the movements again.
And you were indeed perfect.
Unfortunately though it wasn’t always like that. Most of the time, he was simply complicated. When he wasn’t drugged out of his mind, he was angry. Not at all the time – but easily. All you had to do was say the wrong thing and he’d explode. And you’d explode right back, right into his face.
“I fucking hate you!”
“Shut the fuck up, you dumb slut!”
“Who are you calling a slut?! You son a bitch!”
“Say that again!”
It always ended the same way. You sobbing on the floor, him slamming the door shut and disappearing. That were the good fights.
The bad ones were different. You couldn’t count the times you had been forced to take shelter in the bathroom, quickly locking the door, too afraid to let him even close to you. Of course you knew how to fight back. You didn’t let him get away with slapping you, oh no, you kneed him right in the balls so he’d know better not to fuck with you. He’d normally collapse and the fight would be over. But sometimes, on especially bad days, he got that look on him.
It wasn’t careful or hesitant. No, it was murderous and terrifying. You always knew there was something dangerous about him. That was probably what drew you in at first. But this…It was different. When he got that look, when the drugs clouded his mind like that, you were truly afraid of what he might do. And so you locked yourself in and listened to the way he pounded against the door, ready to break it down. So far, he hadn’t. A part of him was still in there, even when got like that.
But you didn’t want to push your luck.
After eight years of up and down, back and forth and through the gates of Hell, you finally left him for good. At first he probably didn’t believe it. After all, you had pulled the leaving card a million times before. But somehow you always ended up back in his bed, with him fucking your brains out and calling it making up.
But this time, you meant it. It had been a pretty normal Tuesday. You were at work, waiting tables and cleaning up after your mindless customers. It wasn’t the best job in the world, but it paid the bills – albeit, barely.
After your father left and married a woman hardly any older than you and you found your mother on the bathroom floor, cold and stiff, her eyes wide and her chin and hair covered in foam and puke, you decided couldn’t do this anymore. Couldn’t be that anymore.
You moved in with Nam-gyu. It started off well at first. He was as cute as ever, when he was sober. Sure, you had fights already, but they were mostly trivial. Yelling was involved, throwing furniture around as well, but he never got violent with you so far.
He found a job, as did you and you paid your apartment together. It was tiny of course, but it was enough. You bought groceries and washed laundry. You even had some spare money to buy furniture and decorations. It wasn’t much, but it was yours. You did everything the way you always pictured it.
You had been with Nam-gyu since you turned seventeen. You met back in school and immediately fell in love with him. He had been so sweet. Acting overly confident and arrogant, of course, but it was just a front which you immediately realized. Under all that he was actually rather silly. He made you laugh without even trying. Even he seemed surprised by how good you two matched. So far he’d been going through life, acting like everyone was beneath him. But in reality, he wasn’t popular. He was a bully. He was mean, with a cruel streak. But never to you. No, when someone dared to speak up their mind against you, he was there, ready to break their jaw. You formed a friendship of sort. He was protective and extremely possessive, while you were caring. His family was a bunch of assholes, just like yours was and neither of you had any real friends.
Most of your friends were other dancers and neither of those were really sentimental. Sure, it was enough to go out for a salad sometimes, but you really weren’t one for bulimia and cigarettes. Most of them were, unfortunately.
You loved food. You loved to eat and you appreciated every bite. You’d grown up rather lonely on your own, praying every night for a sibling or a real friend. Someone you could talk to, about real problems. Your ballet friends though? Whenever they asked you how you felt, they didn’t actually want to know. They were just being polite.
Nam-gyu was just as lonely, though he wouldn’t have ever admitted it. He had friends, who were to no one’s surprise, also a bunch of assholes. Some of them were just bullies, others were straight-up rapists.
“What do you mean, you changed your mind? Are you dumb? Shut the fuck up and take it. You agreed to this!”
Nam-gyu wasn’t. It was another thing he wouldn’t have admitted to out loud, but the thought of fucking someone while they were out of it was something he wasn’t after. A thing that really turned him on was to see the pleasure on the other person’s face. The moans, the sighs. He wouldn’t get that if he just made them take it. And so he didn’t. But he tried to keep a straight face, when his friends shared their immoral stories of last weekend. He tried to laugh, when they spoke about the way the girls curled up in self-hatred after they left them there, their cum leaking out of them.
That was until one of the girls ended up killing herself.
She had been super sad and melancholic for as long anyone could remember. She was rather quiet and no-one really spoke to her. She wasn’t weird or anything, just really shy. That was enough to get bullied. She was an obvious virgin and rather closed-off. A good challenge. A great bet.
So, one of his friends placed a bet with the others. Fuck the girl.
“No way that weirdo is letting you anywhere close to her.”
And she didn’t, at first. She didn’t trust anyone around, because people normally made fun of her. But that guy, who went by Nic, was a real good actor. He didn’t walk up to her and just made advances. No, he played shy around her. Sweet. Funny. He managed to tickle a smile out of her. A laugh. And he didn’t just do it once. He did it for days. Weeks. Two months. He played her boyfriend. Her sweet, shy boyfriend. Until her front slowly crumbled and she fell in love with him. Deeply. So much that she actually decided to give Nic her first.
According to Nic it had been nothing out of the ordinary, but Nam-gyu knew it was more than that. He could read the people around him fairly well, and he could also see the way Nic’s pupils dilated, the way his heart skipped a beat, whenever his sweet, little girlfriend was around.
But his friends, his friends, they were constantly at his back.
“Did you finally fuck her?”
“Did you stretch that weird little cunt, huh?”
“Don’t tell me you’re falling for that Wednesday Addams bitch.”
Nic had a reputation to uphold. And so he did what he deemed necessary. He had sex with her and then he dumped her. But not like any normal person would. No, he made fun of her in the worst ways and ended up sending her nudes to anyone who was interested.
The same nudes he had begged her to send him, to trust him, for only his eyes.
And the next day, the gruesome news were heard over speaker.
She was dead. Jumped off her apartment building, right into her death.
Nic had a mental breakdown. No-one else from his group really cared. No-one except for Nam-gyu. Nam-gyu spent the rest of the day in his car, staring down at the steering wheel and trying not to throw up.
You had heard the news of course and you were devastated. You hadn’t known the girl, but you had never been mean to her. You actually remembered a few interactions you had. You knew there had been something going on between her and Nam-gyu’s friend. But naïve, little you had had the hope that it wasn’t a trick. How stupid you had been.
You spent the rest of the day looking for him, but he was nowhere to be found. Right when you already thought maybe he wasn’t at school at all, you saw his car. He was inside and God, he looked horrible. With red-rimmed eyes and shaking hands, all day. You tried your best to comfort him, but it was futile. He felt guilty. Someone was dead. And maybe, just maybe, if he had intervened in time…
You tried to make him understand that it wasn’t his fault, not entirely. He never spoke to his friends again.
You’d later find out, that was the day he took his first injection. So far all he had been doing were mushrooms and weed, but Hell, who hadn’t?
You spent more and more time together, because he firmly ignored everyone who was so damn fucked in the head. He was trying to be good, he was trying so hard. Life hadn’t been easy on him, not at all, but he still tried.
A month later, you had your first kiss. Another three days later you had sex. It was your first time and he was being surprisingly gentle and considerate. You loved thinking back to it, because you didn’t regret it at all. No matter what else happened between you afterwards, you could never regret giving your virginity to him, because it meant so much to you. And it seemed to mean even more to him.
Two years later, it was safe to say you were made for each other. Even long after being out of school, you were still a couple. He still got these angry outbursts sometimes, but you tried to understand him. He had grown up, feeling unseen and unloved by anyone. As did you. You weren’t angry per say. But you got angry, when he did. You had these desperate mood swing. And whenever something didn’t go your way, you felt like the world was ending. You felt everything intensely.
Love was great. It was all-consuming. You loved him in the same way he did. You adored him. Anger was different. It felt suffocating. Sadness wasn’t sadness, but depression. And despair was enough to nearly kill you.
You tried going to university, but that didn’t work out, because your father left and so you had no chance to pay the tuition. Nam-gyu never even bothered to try, because he knew he would fail anyway, but he tried whatever he could to make your dream work. You wanted to work with animals, heal them, help them, do whatever you could to make someone’s life better. But despite all your – and his – efforts, it didn’t work out. It was simply too much. He was heartbroken when you were forced to leave school, because of your selfish prick of a father. But it was alright.
You’d find another job. You could still make it in life, even without university. Everything was good.
That was, until you couldn’t afford your dance practice any longer.
That was heartbreaking.
One day, you came home after a long day of playing cashier, only to find your mother had stolen all the money you had saved so far. She took it to buy pills or whatever else. You couldn’t even be mad at her, because she lay passed out in the doorway to her room.
You had no money. And all your dreams were dead.
By the time that happened you were far into twenty-one, so you knew that life was cruel and you turned more and more bitter.
Nam-gyu was simply angry, but there was not much he could do. His parents threw him out at nineteen, so he had been paying his own rent since then. He tried speculating with cryptocurrency, but that didn’t work out. He played it down, but you knew he lost quite the amount of his own savings.
A year later your mother died and you finally moved in together. So far you hadn’t been able to leave her on her own, but now that she was gone, you couldn’t stand to live in the same place where she had died. The cemetery of what could have been. Countless dour memories, not a single one good.
You had never had a particularly good relationship, but she was your mother nonetheless. The sight of her dead body and horrified face, it haunted you in your sleep. You spent more than one night, waking up screaming, sweating and clutching the linens. Luckily, Nam-gyu was there to catch you, before you ever managed to fall into the deep pit that was your mind.
He managed to calm you down somehow, every time. He was perfect. The perfect boyfriend.
Until he wasn’t.
You hated when he did drugs, especially so after what had happened to your mother. And so he said he wouldn’t, but it was obviously just to pacify you. You always noticed when he did it nonetheless, you knew the dazed look in his eyes, the paleness of his skin. Whenever he refused a meal, it was obvious to you. Normally, he’d choke down everything you cooked like a starved animal, but there were days when he picked at his food and that was always the first indication.
His short responses, his temper, suddenly so easily flared. It didn’t take long for your first real argument to break out. It was fine, up until the point when you saw his hand twitch. Obviously, you shot him a murderous look, daring him. If he dared to hit you, you’d break his fucking jaw.
And he refrained. For then.
Things went mostly normal, until the next fight. That time he wasn’t so gentle. Things got out of hand and he pushed you against the wall, smashing your head against it in the process. For a moment, you were simply stunned – and even he seemed to be. He stopped before he could cause any greater damage.
Things went between good and bad, it was a constant battle for dominance. One day was good, the next day horrible. You couldn’t even look at him without earning a harsh comment. You’d ignore him firmly for the rest of the day and eventually he’d come crawling back, begging you to let him back inside the bedroom. He didn’t mind the couch, he just missed you. And somehow you always forgave him, far too easily. Sometimes he did change for a while. Surprised you with flowers or his sad attempts at cooking. Every time he messed up a scrambled egg, you couldn’t help but get weak. He was so silly, it was endearing. Yet at the same time, you knew there was something dark within him. Most likely the drugs, but you could never tell for sure.
Maybe this was just who he was.
Things got better and worse again, until one night, he snapped. You had a fight about one of your co-workers, who he considered a threat. You never understood it, because to you it was so obvious that you never wanted anyone else. Despite your problems, you stayed fiercely loyal to him. You loved Nam-gyu. And a part of you still believed that in the end, things would turn out good. Maybe they would, right?
But that night was bad. He got so furious and when he yelled at you, the walls seemed to shake. You were normally so eager to fight back, so strong, but that day something was different. You were on your period and just a few hours earlier, you had met a dance friend of yours. She told you, she was sure that, if you had stayed, you’d be famous by now. But she wasn’t kind about it. She was subtly looking down at you, shaming you for the way your life had turned out. It made a tight knot form in your stomach and you felt your resolve slowly crumble. All you wanted was to cry, but even that didn’t work, because you came home to a furious Nam-gyu.
Your shoulders slumped and you refused to look at him, which only ever made him angrier.
You didn’t see the slap coming, but once it happened, you couldn’t forget it. Couldn’t forget the anger and the disappointment that welled up in you. When you looked up at him, you expected the tiniest bit of regret or guilt, but there was nothing. He was too deep in his bubble of anger and substance, to see clearly. He got more and more furious and you knew; if you didn’t hide then, he’d do something worse. It was the first night you hid yourself away in the bathroom, one of many to follow. You always told yourself it were the drugs. He was so sweet when he was sober, so gentle and loving. You kept telling yourself, things would be good one day. They would turn out well. With time and patience.
Until you snapped.
You were at work, staring off into the distance. You had been out of it all day, because you spent the previous night locked in the bathroom, until he finally passed out around four in the morning. You snuck out and made your way to your workplace, where you opened more than three hours early. You had nowhere else to go. No family, no friends, no one. Only you and your pain. All day you spent trying to cover the dark marks on your wrists, but no one seemed to care anyway. People went about their own lives and problems and you were just their co-worker, their waitress.
You stood silently, watching an elderly couple whose order you had just taken. They were so sweet, like they came right out of a movie. He held the door open for her and pulled her chair back. He caressed her cheek and she never flinched when he reached out his hand for her. They smiled at each other with such a tenderness, it brought tears to your eyes. That was the exact moment. That was the moment you realized you didn’t want to continue on living like this.
You wanted more. You deserved more.
You made your way back and gathered most of your things while he was still at work. Of course it wasn’t the most intelligent approach, but it was all you could do. You knew, the moment you sat down and tried to explain to him that you were going to leave him, he’d find a way to convince you to stay. It had been eight years, after all. Eight years on and off, eight years up and down. Drugs, violence, lies – at least he never cheated on you.
You’d keep that in tender memory of him. As well as the countless times he had comforted and fought for you. All the times he made you laugh, all the times he made you feel loved. The greatest sex you would ever have, no doubt.
But you still packed your things and left like a ghost. After eight years.
He tried to contact you of course, the moment he came home. But you took your paycheck and went to a motel. Whenever he tried to find you at work, you hid in the kitchen. Your co-workers tried to calm him down, to tell him that you didn’t work there any longer, but he saw through the lie. He got loud and furious, which you could kind of understand. You stayed in the kitchen, crying to yourself and feeling incredibly guilty, but you didn’t ever come out.
He kept coming, but it got less and less frequent. From what your co-workers told you, he seemed less and less like himself. The thought broke your heart and nearly made you go back.
You were constantly in your head, making more and more mistakes at work, until your boss’s patience finally snapped. When you messed up the third customers giant bill, he fired you. You instantly panicked, because you were sure, now you had to go back.
You even drove around in your car, trying to get a glimpse of him in the apartment. But to your horror, you didn’t see Nam-gyu in the window. It were other people, some couple actually. And when you tried to call him, the number wasn’t available. Suddenly, he was a ghost and you were knee deep in horse shit.
It didn’t take long for your money to go and so you ended up panicking. You had to leave the motel soon and if you didn’t get a job – you’d end up homeless. Which was as good as dead.
A few days later, after you realized that you seemed to have no special talents and that no one really cared to hire you, you sat at the metro station. You had only one option left or so you thought. Le girls girls girls. You were a dancer. You were graceful. You were too good for this.
But it was all you could do. After all, the girls didn’t have to indulge in any immoral transactions. They were just dancing, right? Fine, in light clothing, but still dancing. You could do that.
You were deep in thought, your eyes closed and your head leaned against the wall behind you, when you heard someone’s voice.
“Care for a game of Ddakji?”
This was when your life took a dark turn.
You eyed the handsome stranger with suspicion. It was super odd. A man going down the path of middle age, slicked-back hair, wearing a suit and a briefcase on him.
And he was asking you to play a game with him?
You frowned and glanced around.
“I don’t know what you want, but you won’t get it from me.”
He smirked and tilted his head to the side innocently.
“I don’t want anything. Just a little game. That’s all. You got something to win here. I got money.”
You narrowed your eyes at him. “I’m not a fucking hooker.”
He smiled again, but it didn’t reach his eyes. “And I told you, all I want is to play a game. Are you scared?”
That made you bristle. You knew the game and you fucking hated it. You were fairly good at playing at, but you didn’t care for this idiot’s audacity. You were about to snap at him again, when you caught sight of the money. Your eyes widened and you sank back against the wall.
“I don’t have any money.” You murmured back.
“Don’t worry. You can pay with your body.”
Your head shot up and you were ready to lunge at him, but he held up his hands in a placating gesture. “I have no intention of fucking you.” He said calmly. “So, I’ll ask again. Are you scared?”
You crossed your arms and got up, giving him a dirty look.
“Get to it, son of a bitch.”
Your eyes fluttered open slowly. You had trouble adjusting your sight to the unnatural, neon light. The smell was odd, somewhat disinfectant. Something was really wrong.
You slowly stretched and turned your head, only to see you weren’t alone. That was enough to nearly make you shriek. You sat up quickly enough to get dizzy. Next to your own bunk was a woman who stared at you through her cat-eyes. She smirked devilishly as she lay on her side.
“Your fate is sealed. There’s no way you can dance your way out of this.”
You tried to ignore the way your heart raced in your chest. This had to be some freakish co-incidence. You took your gaze off her, only to realize you weren’t alone. Countless people surrounded you, some of them awake, others still asleep. They all wore the same green tracksuit, just as you did.
You took a shaky breath and carefully swung your legs over the bed, heading for the ladder.
What, in God’s name, was this? And why did you agree to it?
You only remembered how ashamed you felt and how good the prospect sounded of not having to dance half-naked for strange men.
But was this really better?
You glanced around in the hope of…Of what? The situation was far too fucked up.
The fact that they got you here unconsciously, getting you dressed…
You wanted to throw up. You stumbled through the great hall, hoping to get some answers to your questions, but that hope quickly got crushed.
These were the real strange men. Dressed in pink suits, wearing masks which covered all of their faces and even their voices weren’t their own. Whatever this was, it wasn’t a fun game, you suddenly realized.
That Ddakji playing motherfucker had deceived you.
You lost the first round, which resulted in him slapping you. And that slap, which hadn’t really been a gentle one, awakened some kind of beast in you. You didn’t know what it was, maybe the memory of getting slapped and hunted down your own apartment on a regular basis. Whatever it was, you didn’t lose another round. He gave you money and money and money. But you didn’t want his fucking money. You wanted revenge.
You kept winning, because nothing else was possible. And by the end of the game, he smiled at you while he handed you the damned card.
But right before he turned crawled back into the pit of Hell where he had come from, you called out to him.
“Hey, motherfucker.”
He cocked a brow and regarded you with amusement. “Are you still mad about that tiny, little hit? Come on, you took it like a champ.”
“Then you should, too.” You slapped him with an intensity, you didn’t think you’d ever possess.
He looked at you like a statue, obviously ready to lunge at and murder you. But he hid his murderous intent behind a well-rehearsed smile.
“That one was free.” He said calmly. “And if I ever do see you again, I want a return match.”
He left and you were left with the card.
And there you were now. This wasn’t some childish game of Ddakji.
No one showed their face. You knew what that meant. Something was wrong – and you were in trouble.
You were about to leave the hall and take part in the first game, following after the others. You wouldn’t even have noticed, had you not bumped into him full-force.
When you pulled back your head, ready to apologize, you froze.
There he was. Your Nam-gyu. Staring back at you with wide eyes, behind them a mixture of something akin to surprise and fury.
“What the fuck?” He hissed.
He rushed forward and grabbed your by the shoulders, backing you up against the wall. Your eyes widened and you tried to push him back, but he was driven by something far stronger than both of you.
“Nam-gyu?” You breathed out.
He frowned deeply and stared at you incredulously.
“What the hell are you doing here?!”
“I didn’t-“
“Oh my God, I’m going to kill you.” He growled. “Where were you? What’s going on with you? Are you fucking-“
“Is there a problem here?” At first, you didn’t see the guy behind him with his ridiculous hairstyle and pouty lips. Immediately, you hated the sight of him.
“Fuck, she’s my-“
The purple-haired guy gave his shoulder a squeeze. “Whatever, man. We should get going, huh? We’ll be late for the game.”
He eyed you in an odd way, but you pushed it down and used the moment to free yourself from Nam-gyu’s grip and run out, rushing after the others and hiding in the crowd. He attempted to follow you and even called out to you, but you were already gone.
Fuck, you thought.
Fuck, fuck, fuck.

Gong Yoo // The Recruiter // The Salesman

♡— Him not saying I love you…
It barely ever happens, really. He adores everything about you, from your face, voice, body and the ground you walk on; that man is ready to worship you like a devoted follower would to the most merciful goddess. Therefor he would always be aware of how to make your day a little better, even if it‘s just a small “I love you” or a gentle kiss here and there.
The first thing you hear from him in the morning is a groggy voice mumbling a small “Good morning love...” into your ear while warm kisses were trailed down your back.
While standing in the kitchen and searching the fridge for any signs of a tasty breakfast, a small “I love you, I‘ll be back later!“ would echo slightly through the apartment as the front door closed.
Once, he did forget to say his usual I love you on the way out. He thought about how he possibly could forget? You‘re probably overthinking everything now and think what you might‘ve done wrong or do to offend him. You didn‘t, though! He was just too caught up in perfecting his appearance because his damn hair refused to obey and submit to his meticulous styling.
The poor man was almost scared to come home. As some sort of peace offering, he bought some of your favorite take-out food alongside some dessert, flowers and a new bracelet he thought you might like. Anything to try and make you know that he does really love you.
“Apologies, it completely slipped my mind. It will never happen again my sunshine. I love you.”

♡— You not saying I love you back…
His face may be neutral and his expressions calculated but his features soften up immensely when you show even an ounce of affection. His smirk shifts into a dreamy smile, the crinkles around his mouth shifting and becoming bigger, his eyes twinkling just a little. He just can’t suppress when you even look at him.
Your kisses and words energise him, gift him life, so whenever you don’t give him that little boost of dopamine, he gets visibly more tense in a way.
The silence that followed after his usual “I love you my darling, I’ll be back later!” was almost eerie to him. He stuck his head back into the kitchen to check if you even heard him. You glanced back at him for a moment and gave your husband a dismissive head nod. So you did hear him?
Silently, he left the apartment and went on with his usual day during that time of the year. For some reason, today he is especially looking forward to slap his elders for loosing a damn children’s game. His face remained neutral and had his usual smirk on his face, but deep inside, he’s offended, confused, worried, stressed; all the negative emotions someone can feel after their spouse doesn’t reincorporate ones affection.
Do you want a divorce? Because hell no, he’d never let you go no matter how hard you
But once he got a little text message on his phone that read a simple: “Need cuddles in bed later pls. Got some snacks too. Love you.”, all of his worries washed away in an instant. You probably were still too sleepy to answer this morning.
A smile spread over his face as he thought about slipping into your arms tonight. Isn’t it ridiculous how he melt like putty in your hands?
“You forgot something this morning and it did worry me a lot. But it doesn’t matter, it’s silly anyway.”
Thanos // Su-bong // Player 230

♡— Him not saying I love you…
It’s actually quite rare to hear Thanos say “I love you” word for word. He still feels awkward committing himself to the relationship you have and those three magic words feel so heavy on his tongue, so he’ll rephrase them to suit his level of comfort. “Love ya”, “Thanos loves you” and “Me too” are his ways to dodge the action to reincorporate those sweets words you shower him with.
Thanos only really says “I love you” if you two are alone, sober and you holding him in your arms. To be cradled by someone he admires, cares and loves so much makes him want to cry for some reason, but he suppresses those emotions and instead buries his face in your shoulder as your hand soothingly runs up and down his back.
Those are the times you hear a small “I love you…” being mumbled against your warm skin.
So quiet it’s almost unnoticeable, yet it was there. You know Su-bong needs time to get used to everything, so you’ll settle with a small audio message-rap in reply to your usual “I love you” text message.
“Back to the kitty ‘cause she kinda pretty, I can’t stop looking at her ti- ti- ti-face.. Anyways, thinking of you babygirl. Iloveyatoo.” (You barely caught him saying this the way how quietly he mumbled it into the mic)
˚✧₊⁎⁺˳
♡— You not saying I love you back…
It’s fine. It’s cool. You don’t have to reassure him every day that you love him, it’s totally fine. You still love him like you did the day before.
It causes a deep panic inside of Thanos when you don’t give him his usual “I love you” text in the morning after he had woken up. He kept checking his phone like a madman, while he was brushing his teeth, peeking his arm and head out of the shower in the middle of shampooing, staring at his text messages while microwaving himself an convenience store meal. Nothing.
Not wanting to reach out first and appear clingy, he decided to write you like he is not having a full blown eternal panic attack. A small voice message here, a picture of his food there, a selfie from the bottom to show off his double chin, anything really.
You replied like normal but still, his eyes searched for the three key words. I. Love. You.
Thanos doesn’t want to admit to himself or to anyone for that matter that your calls, texts, hell, you coming over is like the most addictive drug to him. And he had his share of all kinds of colourful drugs.
His foot was nervously tapping the ground while his finger kept ringing your poor doorbell until you were forced to answer. He gave you a close look up and down, his lips formed into a pout of sorts.
“You okay? You didn’t text me you love me this morning. It’s totally cool and all but like… do you want to break up with me or something?”
Nam-gyu // Player 124

♡— Him not saying I love you…
Similar to Thanos, at first, Nam-gyu barely ever told you how much he loved you, liked you even. He just assumed you already knew and his actions were enough. A small side hug there and ruffling your hair here had to be enough for the rest of the week anyway.
He is guarded, afraid of commitment and to be frank in belief that you’re using him for the longest of time. Maybe you’re just “dating” him to get access to high-end drugs, all kinds of clubs or whatever else reason there is there to date him but for love.
You had to say those three magic words first for him to get comfortable with the thought that you are actually just want to date and love him. It came to him in the middle of a night shift at a random club he was supposed to promote. A moment of enlightenment.
Nam-gyu hid in a bathroom stall with his phone and ignored whatever the couple was doing next door, writing you a whole paragraph about what he was thinking, feeling, before deleting everything again because he thought he’d come off as some kind of pussy if he’d sent that.
His first time telling you how much he loved you was at your place. A casual evening watching some random movie you picked out while being arms deep in a bag of chips and dressed like a homeless person, Nam-gyu was staring up at you as if you were the most beautiful person in the universe even during this ungraceful moment of yours, admiring you in silence until finally…
“I love you.”
˚✧₊⁎⁺˳
♡— You not saying I love you…
Did he fuck up again? Do or say something wrong? Don’t you love him anymore? Was there someone else?? His thoughts go ballistic as he stared at the screen of his phone with a deadpan-expression, trying to shake the crippling fear and nervousness off while looking nonchalant.
Nam-gyu’s finger kept hovering over the call button to check on you in case something happened because there could be a whole other person talking to him by how there were no affirmations at all.
He doesn’t want to appear clingy or too attached to you as that may scare you off or even disgust you, so Nam-gyu’s casually mention that one time you didn’t say “I love you” while fidgeting with his ring, trying to appear indifferent about it while intensely watching your facial expression shift to try and detect if you’re lying about your reasoning or not.
Your boyfriend is afraid to not be good enough, too much, too little. Your little affirmations give him reassurance, every day a little more until he’s full convinced that you do really, really love him.
“Hey, uhhh. Did you forget anything today?… No? You sure? Mkay.”
Dae-ho // Player 388

♡— Him not saying I love you…
Never happens. Either he is dead and not able to reply to you or already said it multiple times throughout the day. Dae-ho has separation anxiety and gets nervous when he doesn’t have you in line of his sight or not around him in general, that’s why he always tells you how much he loves you whenever he can.
Off to the bathroom? I love you. Bringing the trash out? I love you. Getting dressed? You’re gorgeous and I love you. You could be simply existing and Dae-ho would bury his face in your neck and mumble a soft I love you into your warm skin, his lips planting a soft kiss here and there.
Dae-ho is just a little scared about saying his usual affirmation in front of his family, mostly his father. He’s a very affectionate and physical man but he still wants to look like the tough-marine-son his dad wants to see.
His sisters know better though, they see how their brother’s eyes twinkle in delight when you help his mom out in the kitchen with the dinner.
He does make it up to you after coming home though. Your boyfriend will stuff the leftovers his mom gave him into the microwave and usher to you made yourself comfortable on the couch while he makes some preparations to completely pamper you for the rest of the evening.
Sometimes Dae-ho’ll even try to flirt a little but he’s still a little awkward in that department.
“Hey, do you want some snacks with that? A drink? O-Or am I enough of a snack…?”
˚✧₊⁎⁺˳
♡— You not saying I love you…
Every time Dae-ho tells you that he loves you, you always reply with equal enthusiasm. How could you not? That golden retriever of a man gets that almost childish smile of his whenever you kiss his cheek or just tell him that he looks handsome today.
Once, you tested how he’d react when you don’t give him his hourly dose of dopamine by deflecting or ignoring his touches.
As his arms securely snaked around your waist and gently pulled you against his torso, you paid him no mind and continued to stir the ramen in the food container. He watched the noodles move in circles and gave your waist a gentle poke, trying to pull your attention to him. Dae-ho’s eyes slowly dimmed and the edges of his smile turned downwards.
The silence made him seriously nervous. You could feel his rapidly increasing heartbeat drum against your back.
“Hey… is everything okay? Did I do something wrong? I’m sorry. Can you talk to me?…”
Gi-hun // Player 456 (post s1)

♡— Him not saying I love you…
Gi-hun always reassures you of his love, even during arguments. He wants you to know that he cherishes and loves you for the rest of his life and that you are his everything. Whenever he doesn’t say I love you, something must’ve happened.
He has been missing for a whole week and you had no idea where your boyfriend went. Gi-hun didn’t leave a note, a voice mail, no nothing!
And after he returned and suddenly began giving you expensive gifts, the same boyfriend that used to ask you for money to get himself an convenience store dinner, now began buying you new headphones, bracelet and whatever else you even eyed.
It was nice, sure, but you were more worried about his mental state. He was paranoid and quiet, kept checking his whole body for some kind of tracker and barely ever spoke what was on his mind. Gi-hun began having panic attacks and you were barely able to leave his side because of how terrified he was to leave you alone.
He barely touched you, gave you kisses or affection. He changed after whatever happened during that week he went missing.
While running your fingers through his hair, trying to make him fall asleep after being awake for two days straight, he sleepily stared up at you through his dyed-red hair. His voice was quiet, broken almost.
“I’m sorry. Please… know that I love you. I love you so much.. Don’t leave me, please… please...”
˚✧₊⁎⁺˳
♡— You not saying I love you back…
Your boyfriend called out to you but you didn’t quite hear what he said, so you replied with an “yeah!” and just hoped that that’s an appropriate response to whatever he tried to tell or ask you. It wasn’t.
Gi-hun stood there for a couple of moments, waiting on your reply to yelling “I love you!” across the whole apartment. When nothing came, he didn’t call out to you again. You were probably busy with something or don’t want him with your right now, he gets that.
Later though, thoughts of self-doubt began to cook up inside his mind. As he bit all his nails to shreds he overthought about how you had enough of him now. Maybe you are falling out of love now after how the death games fucked up his mind and body. You’re surely fed up with his paranoia and secretive behaviour, how much he has been obsession over finding a weird salesman. Surely.
The metallic taste that spread inside his mouth after biting the skin surrounding his nails began to open and bleed finally pulled Gi-hun out of his self-destructive thoughts that continued to circle like a toy train. Picking up his throwaway phone and choosing the one contact he saved on every single burner phone he had as “Reason to smile ❤️” and pressing the call button.
“Gi-hun? What’s wrong?” Your voice forced a small smile to form on his face. He hesitated
“Hey. Just wanted to ask if I should bring some take out home tonight. That’s all.”
In-ho // The Frontman // Player 001

♡— Him not saying I love you…
It’s purely just to tease you. When bored, In-ho will make you his greatest entertainment.
He likes making you annoyed and flustered, so he’ll intentionally ignore you just to make you react and pout at him adorably while he was trying so hard to keep his stone cold face and not break into a shit-eating grin and maybe even pull on your cheek to make you whine even more.
In-ho adores your whole being and cherishes all of your affections, so he’ll let himself get showered in them any tome he can.
Expect you to he cuddled up on his lap while he was leaning back in the leather chair, mumbling a complaint about how you covered his whole face in kisses but managed to miss the bridge of his nose. He will not allow you to move off his lap until you covered his whole face in kisses again as compensation for that mistake of yours.
So, In-ho’ll intentionally not give you affection so you pay even more attention to him. He is like a cat in that way weirdly enough.
Once you finally break his facade, the flood gates will open and you will be showered, bathed, drowned in his affection, physical and verbal.
“Fine. I’ll say it just because you’ve been so good to me today. I love you, my dearest, lovely darling.”
˚✧₊⁎⁺˳
♡— You not saying I love you back…
In-ho has a dedicated frequency on his walkie-talkie for you, so he can call in and ask you to come to his office for a kiss that cannot wait, to inform you that he is in the bedroom and retiring for the day or just to tell you that he loves you randomly throughout the day.
Of course, you’d always reply back with your own gadget, but to pay back his infinite teasing he has done to you, you decided to ignore him the way he sometimes does to you. Payback.
Your husband called into your frequency. “Dove, are you free right now? Come to my office, I miss you.” and so your game begins. You simply ignored his request and continued getting comfortable in your bed and all the sheets surrounding you, grinning to yourself as you awaited the next time In-ho calls in again, for which you don’t have to wait long for.
“Darling, I am waiting. Do you want me to send someone to pick you up?” Your grin widened as you heard how impatient he was slowly getting with the lack of your response. “I can see you in the bedroom.” That one caught you off guard. Did he install cameras in your shared bedroom??
Almost on cue, your bedroom door opened, revealing the masked Frontman. His shoulders were tense and you could feel his intense state through the mask. You stared back, not expecting how quickly your husband would cave in and visit you himself. Innocently, you batted your lashes at him.
In-ho slipped his mask off and carelessly tossed it on the nightstand. “Why are you ignoring me? Are you upset or just moody?” Unimpressed, you silently glared at him. He gave you an equally uninterested look and leaned down to your face to give you a small peck on your cheek. “Not enough. More.”
A chuckle escaped his lips as his lips cracked into a smile.
“Demanding, aren’t we? Fine. As you wish.”

Author’s note. Thank you for reading <3
Watch me announce that I’m going to post In-ho’s yandere profile and proceed to get hit with the most ungodly group-assignment in Chemistry. Anyways, take this as an apology! Had to write a little fluff for them since the only thing I’m finding is smut 🙏😭 I’m not complaining but this fluff prompt came to me like a truck during a class of mine. It was originally inspired by this post and I made a similar one before for the Demon Slayer hashira. Check it out if you’re interested!!
Anyways, make sure to EAT, SLEEP and DRINK enough!!
Take care of yourselves <33

WOULD THEY DEGRADE YOU? — SQUID GAMES

GI-HUN
𑁍༘ Absolutely not. He loves you way too much. However, I don’t think Gi-hun would praise you, per se, during sex. I think he’d be too busy grunting and groaning, or making no sounds at all—except for his strong, heavy breathing..
NAM-GYU
𑁍༘ Hell yes he would. This man is rude and abrasive just for the hell of it. Nam-gyu is a true sadist at heart. He doesn’t care for your pleasure, in fact, he likes brining you pain. That also translates over to his words. He will call you things like ‘slut’ and ‘whore’ regularly.
DAE-HO
𑁍༘ Like Gi-hun, he would never dream of degrading you. This man does not have a single mean bone in his body. He is constantly telling you how good you’re doing and checking he’s not pushing to deep or hurting you every five seconds. A true sweetheart.
IN-HO
𑁍༘ Yes and no. I’d imagine that after years of isolation and loneliness after the death of his late wife, In-ho somewhat struggles expressing his emotions. I don’t think he’d straight up call you whore, but he might say something like ‘you can take it’ even if you think you can’t.
THE SALESMAN
𑁍༘ Yes, but in a classy way. To him, you’re like one of his playthings in a way. He might call you his toy, or say ‘you’re such a good little toy f’me.’ If you catch my drift. Like Nam-gyu he is an obvious sadist. However, I do think he would praise you every once in a while.
THANOS
𑁍༘ This man is a mix of everything, thanks to the drugs in his system. This 100% transfers over to your sex lives. When under the influence, Thanos is a lot more likely to be rough and mean. But when he’s sober? Depending on his mood, he can be one of the softest men ever.

for us

pairings: namgyu x preg!reader
warnings: angst & fluff :p
an: i started my first big girl job but im motivated so ill try to post more :)! i haven’t posted in a minute and i hate pregnancy tropes but i make the exception for squid games lol. i will make a part two!

nam-gyu was many things, an addict, a partier, an idiot and a sweetheart. the sweetest ever, actually.
unfortunately for you you worked at club pentagon, which is how you met the physical embodiment of an acid trip.
who he was when he was sober was something you cherished and kept close to your heart. it wasn’t hard to weave your way into his rotten lungs, but soon enough you became his air, his new high.
after learning you never did substances, he switched positions at the club and asked you to get a safer job, not wanting you to inevitably cave to the horrible things that he tries.
you scold him of course, reprimand him and argue about hating how he acted when under the influence. for a while he managed to stop, wanting something serious and stable.
but then he met thanos, he came home obnoxiously intoxicated. nam-gyu was so star struck that he saw a famous rapper that he didn’t understand why you locked him out of the room, until he woke up the next morning with a headache he only got when he was on drugs.
apologies spewed out of his mouth, wishing for a second chance. his wish was granted, he found another outlet for “extra money” and promised you both a fresh start.
until the extra money vanished off the face of the earth and now he was in incredible debt.
the few months of bliss now gone, thoughts of continuing such an unstable relationship this far into life didn’t seem like a good idea. the arguments were bad, mostly on your end as you couldn’t get him to stop begging and spilling empty promises,
“i’ll make the money back and i’ll work harder to make more for you, please baby i’m so sorry.” the sight of him on his knees and holding your legs would’ve been kind of sweet if this wasn’t the millionth time he’s promised to be better.
to his disappointment, you walked out of his life that night, asking him to only find you when he grew up.
he was determined to make the money back, nam-gyu had no hesitation when calling the number on the card.
-
seeing thanos’ face on the big screen in the unfamiliar room brought a bitter taste in your mouth. you felt bad, seeing as he had the talent but like your ex he succumbed to the high instead.
your ex. that fucking moron. that piece of shit doesn’t even know you’re carrying his damn kid.
a week after you walked out of his life, you guys met up one time to exchange clothes and what not but one thing lead to another and here you were in hospital debt. finding a stable job was hard, especially when you worked as a bartender most of your adult life.
the stress was eating you alive, renting the nice place you had was not cheap and the nice landlord could only be nice for so long because you had to start paying more.
the past few months have been rough and you really wish you had the support of your ex even if he wasn’t the greatest, he was yours and that’s all that really mattered.
standing in line to sign the consent forms made you nauseous, afraid of what’s to come. as you’re walking back to your bed, you get stopped by a hand on your shoulder,
“yn?”
you feel your heartbeat quicken as you turn around and look at your ex boyfriend.
“why are you here?” his hand is still on your shoulder, slightly moving up and down your arm.
he always had a thing for keeping a hand on you, he said it grounded him.
“the same reason everyone is, debt.”
the expression on his face makes your chest ache, he looks so concerned that it makes you a wee bit mad, “what debt are you in? you’ve always been financially responsible!”
he was right, out of you two you made the smarter choices. it dawned on you that you had yet to tell him you’re pregnant with his kid.
“yn? what happened? did someone scam you? i know some people that could find them.” his tone deepening as he becomes more serious, “no! it’s not like that. it’s complicated..”
the worry in your voice makes his eyes fill with worry, “baby, you can tell me.” the name makes you push away from him but the distance is immediately gone as he closes it, pulling your hands into his own. you can’t look him in the eye, scared he’s going to be mad at you.
you’re going to keep it no matter what but the thought of him hating you and your kid makes your heart crack.
the swirled hormones make everything seem so much more intense, tears start to fill your eyes which makes his widen. his hands, ever so warm, hold your face and tilt it so you’re looking at him.
“what’s wrong, i’m here ba-“
“i’m pregnant, nam-gyu.” he pulls his hands off of your face like he was burned, an expression of hurt and anger swirls in his eyes,
“who’s the father?” you look at him like he’s stupid, which only makes him more upset. “why are you looking at me like that?”
does he seriously think i got with someone else?
nam-gyu is distraught, the thought of you no longer being in love with him makes him sick. the fact that you’re carrying someone else’s child makes any will to live disappear. suddenly he doesn’t care that he owes money to anyone, there’s no chance to get you back. “does he treat you well? are you happier?”
“i’m not seeing anyone new, nam-gyu.”
“you shouldn’t be playing games if you’re pregnant. you could hurt yourself or the baby.”
despite his own lack of rationality when making choices, he was always so careful with you.
you threw any rationality you had and spit out the truth,
“it’s yours.”
now he was looking at you like you were stupid, “what?”
“the baby. it’s yours. you’re the father. i’m carrying your child.” he blinks at you slowly, taking in the information you just dropped on him,
“it’s.. you’re carrying.. our baby?” nodding your head, you step forward and take his hand and guide it to your stomach.
“after we broke up, i started to feel sick so i took a test. i didn’t know what to do, i couldn’t find a good job near my place, moving is too expensive, i was afraid to reach out to you. i owe the hospital so much because i’m paying by month but i ran out of savings and then this guy came up to me and gave me a card to make money.”
by the end of your ramble, nam-gyu pulled you in for a tight hug, smoothing your back with his hand. softly, he coos into your hair, “i would’ve never denied you. had you called, we could’ve figured this shit out together.”
you argued back, “how was i supposed to know that? you promised me over and over again but nothing changed!”
despite missing the warmth, you again create a distance by pushing him away from you, although it’s no use given how he holds your arms but he still keeps the distance out of respect for you.
“i have changed! i’m here, i’m going to win that money and i’ll take care of you.” his eyes plead, the hands that hold you start to shake.
“you’ll win it? alone?” the logic hits him and he laughs at his own idiocy, “we’ll win, i’ll make sure we both get out of here. we can put the money together. it’ll be more than enough for us to start over!”
you’re skeptical, sure the chance of winning is there but.. is your trust in him still there?
“if we win-“
his hands move from your arms to your stomach, “when baby, when we win-“
your eyes roll at his optimism, “if and when we win, you need to quit drugs. cold turkey. no excuses, no more second chances. if you so much as look at a drug, i will kill you and raise this kid alone, do you understand me?”
he mocks a soldier, hand to his head and stance straight, “yes ma’am!” the pose barely lasts as he starts to giggle, following you to your bed while holding onto your hand.
there was more to come, you had a feeling that much money wouldn’t come so easy, but things felt just a tad easier with him.

Lessons to be learned

Pairing: Nam-gyu × Reader
Warnings: Dead Dove: Do Not Eat, Restraints, Edging (More like Withdrawal of Release), Fingering, Unprotected Sex, Rough Sex, Degradation Kink, Implied Manipulation, Minors Do Not Interact!
Author's Note: I'm not sure what the hell this is. Probably porn with little plot. I fucking hate Nam-gyu and I hate that I like him.
Nam-gyu is testing you "in order to see if you really belong to him", but it's mostly him being cruel.
"You doin' okay over there, huh?"
Your eyes fluttered shut and you took a slow breath to keep yourself from...
Fuck, there wasn't much you could do anyway, right?
The motherfucker was right there, only a few steps away, scrolling dumbly on his phone. And you? You were there.
Legs spread to a nearly inhumane degree, your mouth dry by the pair of panties he'd forced inside. Every part of you was aching - in pain, in humiliation, in rage...but mostly in need. He had been doing this for hours now and you were slowly going insane.
You muffled out a response and only then heard him smirk.
"Right." He mubled in amusement. "Probably not."
A treacherous, pleading sound came over your lips before you could stop it. They felt chapped, like sandpaper and all you really wanted was to lick your lips.
Or, well, punch his gut.
"Okay, okay. We'll give it another try."
He set his phone down and lunged forward. His weight pressed you down into the mattress even more than the binds, the screech of the slat frame barely audible compared to your needy moan.
"Who do you belong to?"
He wasn't gentle. And he sure as hell wasn't merciful.
No, he pressed two fingers against your core and pushed them inside almost immediately, but there was no resistance anyway - you were dripping.
"You." You muffled out desperately. "Mhpf...Belong to you-"
He pumped his fingers faster, harder, stretching you so cruelly, you were sure you wouldn't survive this night if it continued on like this.
"I didn't quite catch that." He whispered menacingly, before he sharply withdrew his hand.
You whined needily and tried to arch into his touch, but he was just out of reach - and he wasn't a man for half-assed restraints.
"Please-" Your chapped lips somehow formed.
He smirked. That fucking bastard.
"Please what? Please fuck me? Please lick my pussy? Please leave me here to rot all night? Use your words, you dumb little slut."
Your face flushed in embarrassment and anger, but you forgot about it, the second he pressed his hips down against your own. Instead, you moaned - as expected.
You couldn't tell how long you'd been in this position, how many times he brought you to the edge and left you there, begging, whining, all but sobbing. You had never felt this desperate in your entire life. The ache between your legs was slowly killing you.
It meant something to him, you knew that. He didn't trust easily, not anyone, not even you. He needed to test you, to push you, to drive you to madness and still have you. Still see you. And maybe then, maybe when you were good for him just a little longer, if you were truly ready to endure whatever he did to you...Maybe then he would finally realize that he was indeed lovable.
Loved.
You knew how messed up it was to even think like that, but what else could you do? You were in love and he was an idiot. A blind one, at that. Burnt one too many times.
"Please." You croaked out somehow. "Please...fuck...fuck me."
He bared his teeth in a predatory grin.
"You don't know what you're asking for, baby."
The sound of his pants being unzipped and the rustling of the fabric falling to his ankles was enough to make your heart stop beating. You needed to come so bad. But what you needed even more than that was him.
You didn't struggle when he pushed himself inside you. The low moan on his lips was enough to make your skin tingle, your insides squirm.
He was no man for gentleness. So, you didn't protest when he began to fuck into you like a beast in heat. You just moaned. Closed your eyes. And begged.
Oh, you'd feel him for the next few days. But you couldn't bring yourself to care. You needed him. You needed release.
You felt it approach faster than you thought. Being kept on edge for hours was a cruel endeavour and being so close to the damn-well-needed release was even worse.
Because, just seconds before you felt yourself tip over the edge with you arching your back and moaning against the material in your mouth, he stopped.
As expected.
You gasped and tried to move your hips but it was futile. He was still inside you, still so incredibly close to your sweet spot, but he refused to move. You closed your eyes in your frustration, but his firm grip on your jaw forced you to look up at him.
"That's right. Now that's a good girl if I've ever seen one." He smiled and it almost looked genuine.
He leaned down and pressed a soft, lingering kiss against your forehead.
Almost loving.
Almost.
"Don't worry, baby. We'll take it one day at a time."
It might have sounded reassuring from any other man, in any other situation.
Yet you couldn't help but feel the dread creep into your bones.
You understood it now.
This was only the beginning.

It was supposed to be a quick fuck and nothing more, something to get his mind off his miserable life - that was what you expected from him. But a certain customer makes you feel something after a lifetime of being unable to feel anything - and you're not sure if that's good or bad.

In your line of work, you had known more than just a few strange men.
Most of them were assholes. But weren’t all men? At least, to some degree. You were probably a little biased, considering you had never been in a relationship and had only ever served as…this.
Many of them simply cared about their own needs, which wasn’t really a bad thing, right? That was what you were here for. Their pleasure. They got to take their minds off of everything for a little while and simply let themselves be worshipped. It didn’t matter how much you resented each and everyone of them. It also didn’t matter how bad most of them were at what they were doing.
You expected them to be at least a little…better. Men always bragged about being so good at what they did and yet, and yet, and yet.
Some of them were, of course. You had a great advantage in that regard - you were only twenty-six and had a pretty face. Men normally looked at you and thought; pliable.
That was probably why many of them wanted you. So many that you got lucky and you got to choose and decline an offer, when it didn’t suit your wishes. That didn’t mean that you declined them often. You didn’t really care if they were handsome or average looking or anything below that cut. You cared about different things. Hygiene. Status. And fuck, their first impression.
If a certain customer gave you the ick by simply existing or the way he looked at you – you declined. And no one punished you for it, because you were simply that sought-after.
Often times it was the same. Go into the room, do what they asked, be bored out of your life. None of them ever made you feel anything.
It wasn’t that you were broken or anything – you were well able to find release, if you tried alone. But in company? Of any man? Even the ones who went out of their way to try, even they didn’t make you feel anything. But that was okay – you didn’t do it for pleasure. No, you did it, because it paid well and you were good at it.
Had you not become what you were now, you have probably turned into an actress.
That was until you met a certain someone.
The ick was nearly suffocating. It wasn’t about the way he looked, he was actually kind of cute. In a strange, messed-up kind of way, at least. He had a pretty face, but his hair was tucked behind his ears like was some kind of doll. The sight was odd, but didn’t to much to his attractiveness. You had always had a thing for messed-up people, you thought.
And there he was, sitting in the foyer, asking specifically for you.
You frowned at Nadya, your boss, when she came to you with these unnerving news. You didn’t hide your distaste as you peeked behind the curtain. There he was, staring blanky ahead, like he was numb to anything around him. The half-naked girls, shaking their assess right in front of him, the rich men striding along, parading their precious bimbos around, before they went home and fucked their poor, oblivious wives.
You fucking hated men.
And you were never going to get married, you were certain.
“Why’d he ask for me? How does he even know me? He hasn’t been here before, has he?”
Nadya shrugged and put up her golden hair in a loose ponytail. “What do I know? Maybe he saw you on his way in. Whatever, he asked for the girl in the black dress.”
You glanced down at yourself almost involuntarily. Being naked and getting fucked by strangers was one thing, but parading around undressed or in a cheap neon-pink frock, that was beyond you. You didn’t understand how anyone could to that to themselves. You never left the private room with any less than decent clothing, which happened to be a black dress most of the time.
“I don’t know.” You murmured. “He seems off.”
“Girl, they’re all off. That’s why they’re here. That’s how we make money.”
You glanced at him again, half expecting him to look up and meet your gaze, but he seemed to be barely there. Not high or unconscious, just…distant.
“What if he’s a serial killer?”
“Then you better remember what I showed you.” She sighed deeply and rested a hand on her hip like an exhausted housewife would. “So, what now, girl? You going to dump him or not?”
You hummed deep in your throat and shrugged. “Fuck, alright. But you better be close-by.”
She smirked. “That’s my girl.”
“Shut up.”
She shot you a gentle smile, before she vanished behind the curtain. You took a slow breath. Why on earth had you agreed? You knew there was something wrong about the guy. And still, there was some devil inside of you, driving you to do what you did.
Maybe it was boredom. You had spent all day in the backroom, staring out of the window, instead of doing whatever you normally did. Today was odd. Everything felt so. Maybe that was the reason he gave you the ick. It wasn’t about him. It was you. You blamed it on that.
A few minutes later you found yourself in the familiar room. Dim lighting, but not cheap. Nothing in there was neon-colored and no red in sight. God, you hated red. You hated everything that screamed cheap.
There was a black leather couch and a bed covered in dark grey silk sheets. For whatever reason, there even was a window. A small one and it was on the top of the wall, but it was there. That was your room. You didn’t go anywhere near those clown circus rooms in the opposite hallway.
You sat down on the couch, your hands neatly folded in your lap. He wouldn’t murder you, after all he got checked before they’d let him anywhere near you.
But wasn’t there enough damage he could do with his hands?
You exhaled slowly, deciding to let go of your paranoia in order to be good at what you were doing. And not much later, the door was slowly being opened. Igor led the young man inside, keeping a stern eye on him, as if speaking a silent warning. He seemed to have the same feeling about him.
But the guy didn’t flinch. He stepped inside, his pace slow, but deliberate. Once he was inside and the door closed behind him, he finally looked up from the floor. You forced a small smile – strained, but not unkind. And yet, it didn’t really reach your eyes.
But then again…Did it ever?
“Hey.” You said in a soft tone, slowly getting up from the couch and straightening your dress. “I’m Indra.”
“That’s not your real name.”
His voice was soft, but not meek. Observant. And straight to the point.
You bit your lip and shook your head. “No. I just…I don’t give out my real name, for…well, for obvious reasons.” You smiled again, but now it was even more unsure. “And what’s your name?”
He smirked, but it was without any mirth. “Why would I tell you my name if you won’t tell me yours?”
Normally, you swayed men with your mere presence. But that guy had you shrunken into yourself within seconds.
“You don’t have to.” You said in a softer voice. “I was just…” You cleared your throat and tried a last attempt at a smile. “Why don’t you sit?”
He took a few steps forward and slowly sat down beside the spot where you had been a moment ago. You nodded and slowly sat down beside him, keeping a small distance.
“So…How does this work?” He murmured.
You almost wanted to laugh. Something in your mind had convinced you that this wasn’t his first time in a brothel. A part of you had assumed he knew no other contact with women. But you felt your expression soften at his words – and guilt hit your chest, for even thinking that.
“It’s simple.” You said gently. “You tell me what you want and I will do it.”
“Anything?” He cocked a brow and shot you a skeptical look.
You hesitated. “Well, there are a few things I don’t do. Nothing from behind. But aside from that…”
He raised a brow. “And that’s all? Everything else is…okay?”
You shrugged and nodded.
“So, if I asked you, you would…suck my dick?”
The way he spoke of it almost made you want to blush. Which was dumb. You knew what you were and he knew it, too, but he spoke of it as if it meant something. And then it suddenly hit you. Maybe it did mean something to him.
And so, you realized, he was really cute. Fucked up, of course, but cute.
“Of course.” You said in the same soft tone.
He shifted almost imperceptibly and that was when you saw it. Right there, on the inside of his elbow.
Of course he was a junkie.
He caught your gaze and quickly rolled his sleeve down, only for you to avert your gaze politely.
“I’d just have to use a condom.” You looked at him with soft eyes. “Is that okay?”
He nodded. “Yeah, ‘course. But you don’t gotta worry. I don’t share needles. I’m not an idiot.”
Something about the way he said it almost made you want to believe him. But you’d use a condom anyway. You weren’t an idiot either.
He licked his lower lip and clicked his tongue, and you, you took the hint.
“You don’t have to worry about anything.” You assured him in a soft voice as you reached for a condom from the nightstand and placed it beside him.
Why were you so fucking nervous about this? You knew how to suck a man off.
But it wasn’t the sex that made you nervous, it was him.
You sat down again, your fingers intertwined. “Is there something else you want? I can get undressed, I can kiss you, I can…” The way his brows furrowed made that odd feeling flare up in your chest again. Was he high? Or was he always this…confused?
“Or I could just be spontaneous about it.”
He nodded. “Yeah. Just do that. But you don’t…” He cleared his throat. “Keep the dress on.”
Well…charming.
“It’s…pretty on you.”
Wow.
That was charming. For a moment, your breath caught in your throat. Pretty. A word that grown rather foreign to you ears. The men who came there didn’t settle for pretty. Sexy, hot, dumb, brainless, mindless, bimbo, fucking slut…
Pretty.
You almost thanked him, but decided against it. Mostly, because you didn’t trust your voice. Today really was an odd day.
You then leaned forward and your lips ghosted over his in a touch that was barely there. You felt him tense beside you.
Gay?
Maybe he was gay.
Maybe this was some kind of epiphany mission.
Maybe that explained his behavior.
You risked a short glance down at his pants and caught sight of the giant bulge in there.
Fuck.
Definitely not gay.
And from just a little kiss.
You exhaled softly and slowly reached for his face, gently cupping his cheek in your palm.
“Are you nervous?” You murmured.
What a silly question. He would most likely snap at you – and really, you’d understand if he did.
Why would you ask such a question in the first place?
But he didn’t. Not yet, at least.
“Nah, I just…been a while.” He murmured back.
You nodded and slowly moved off the couch in order to straddle his lap. He felt warm and solid beneath you, the material of his jeans rubbing against your bare thighs as you slowly lowered yourself down against him. He inhaled sharply and bit his lip, his hands immediately wandering to your waist to steady you.
“Oh, that’s good.” He murmured.
You kept your gaze fixed on his face, trying to gauge his reaction as you slowly ground yourself against him.
“Mhm. Yeah. Just like…just like that, fuck…”
Your fleeting kiss turned into something deeper, something far more complex. You felt his tongue brush against your own and the way his fingers dug into your skin like he was holding on to a lifeline. His grip was all but desperate, like he was afraid you’d disappear if he let go.
It made you feel…
Something.
The moan that came over your lips wasn’t that of an actress, it wasn’t Indra. It was you.
Your hand wandered down his body, slowly freeing him from his jeans.
Something inside of you was desperate to please him and you had no idea where that desire came from.
By the time you pushed his boxers down and risked a glance at his hardness beneath your hand, your breath caught in your throat.
Today was really, really odd.
You fumbled absentmindedly for the condom, when his voice brought you back to reality.
“Could you…”
You froze in your tracks.
He nibbled on his lower lip and leaned back, raking his gaze along your face. “If you used your hand instead, could you leave the condom then?”
“You mean if I don’t-“
“Yeah.” He murmured. “Just…your hand. I want to feel you. Skin on skin.”
You nodded and slowly let go of the condom, letting it fall back on the couch. “Of course.” You moved off his lap with gentle precision, sitting down beside him again.
“We can go over to the bed if you want.”
He shook his head. “It’s fine.”
You nodded again and hummed softly, as you gently ran your fingertips down his chest. Skillfully leaning in, your lips found his neck. The sound he made was real and soft, nothing more than an exhale, but it felt as though he was letting go of much more. Pent-up emotions and the way you pictured him – probably resentment.
Or loneliness.
Before he knew it, your hand slowly wrapped around his hardness, your touch warm and gentle.
A growl rumbled in his chest and he leaned back just enough to be able to see it. His lips parted in a soft sigh as he watched the careful movement of your hand.
“Does that feel good?” You murmured.
He hesitated, but eventually nodded. “Yeah, just…”
Your movement faltered and your eyes softened. “What is it?”
He caught your wrist in a grip that was far more gentle than you ever thought him capable of. “I don’t know.” He murmured. “I don’t feel anything.”
Lips pulled into a frown, you pulled your hand back. “Because of me? Or the drugs?”
“Neither.” He sighed and shook his head, running both hands through his dark hair. The hairstyle was all but ridiculous, considering how handsome his face was. It was hard to describe him. On one hand he looked sweet and almost gentle in his approach, but on the other hand there was something darker about him, something almost predatory. Imagining his smile, his teeth bared in a grin, you felt a shiver run down your spine. But so far he hadn’t smiled – and you had a feeling it wasn’t often that he did.
“Then why?” You heard yourself murmur.
He shrugged. “I don’t know.”
“Maybe you’re just not that into sex.” You sat down in a more comfortable position, pulling your knees to your chin and wrapping your arms around them. “That’s not a bad thing. You don’t have to force anything upon yourself.”
“Nah, that’s not it. I am, I know I am. Fuck, when I look at you-“
He briefly glanced at your dress and you were sure you saw him twitch in the corner of your eye. You swallowed and forced yourself to keep your gaze fixed on his face though. As flattering as this was, it filled you with something softer, something…sad.
“You know, I kind of feel like that.” You said in a quiet voice.
His head perked up at that and he regarded you with a frown. “What? You’re not into sex?”
The way he said it almost made your face flush again. Was that people’s perception of you? That you were some crazy ass nymphomaniac?
But then again, what did you expect? That simply because you wore a dress unlike the others you were less of what you were – paid to get fucked by him?
“That’s not what I meant.” You said softly. “I just…don’t feel much.”
“Oh.” He snorted. “Never?”
You shook your head. “Never.”
“So, you’ve never…You never came?”
You shrugged. Maybe this would end up destroying your successful employment, but then again, would he run around and talk about this to anyone?
You could never know.
“No. Not unless I was alone.”
“Sounds…boring.”
That made you smirk. “Yeah. Kind of.”
His eyes narrowed into something thoughtful as he regarded you with a mixture of curiosity and something else, something unreadable. “You said I could do anything?”
“I suppose you-“
You didn’t exactly expect him to jump up and pick you up like that, but the gasp died on your tongue. He simply needed a moment to get there. And now he would ravage you like everyone else did. You didn’t know why you felt surprised. Probably because you had talked more than you did with anyone else. Most men didn’t like that – most of them simply came, came and left.
It wasn’t that you felt cheap about. It was just a profession, nothing more. Your work wasn’t the rest of you, it was nothing to be frowned upon. Sex work had always existed and you counted yourself lucky that you worked in a place as safe as there. But the expensive drinks, the silk robes, your understanding boss – nothing about it made you feel any better. Every time they came, fucked you and left you there without a second glance, you couldn’t help but feel used. Sometimes for a few minutes. The shame.
Why are you still doing this? Why are you still letting them do this to you? Don’t you think you deserve more?
Often times it left just as quickly, but sometimes, when you got really unlucky and certain customers made you feel like you were nothing more than a warm hole with no other purpose in this life – these were times that you’d end up thinking and brooding to yourself for days.
Just like today.
Yesterday had been especially bad. You still felt his touch, still felt his bruising grip around your wrists.
Yes. That was it, you suddenly realized. That was what made you feel so odd today.
“You dumb little fucking- Ahh, yes. Dumb…little…fucking…slut. If I could, fuck, I’d poke this fucking condom, tie you to this bed and fuck you ‘til you’re finally pregnant. That’s all a dumb whore like you is good for, huh? Now shut the fuck up and take it.”
He hadn’t seemed like it. No, actually, he had been the epitome of a good customer. He looked well taken care of, he was handsome and had a winning smile. But you still felt his nails scrape the skin in the back of your throat. Every time you swallowed.
“And maybe next time…Maybe next time, I will do just that.”
You hadn’t told anyone about it, not even Nadya. You didn’t know why. Maybe you were embarrassed. Ashamed. Maybe you were being dramatic. After all, almost all men said shit like that in order to cum, right?
But the way he said it, with such hate. And while being inside of you.
A shudder ran through you as the guy pushed you into the mattress and you choked up a gasp. Not in a sexy way, not in a practiced way. No, it sounded like you were drowning and just emerging.
He quickly pulled back, taking a step away from the bed and staring at you with wide eyes.
“I’m sorry.” He murmured. “Did I-“
“No.” You said quickly, too quickly. You swallowed the lump in your throat. “No, you didn’t do anything wrong. I just…” You rubbed your wrists, staring ahead of him, lost in thought when he caught the movement. His gaze wandered to your wrists and his forehead creased into a frown.
Without saying anything, he crouched down and took your hands in his, examining the angry red marks.
“What’s that?” He murmured.
You swallowed. “Well, some…”
What on earth was wrong with you? Why were you acting like a shy schoolgirl around him? It made no sense at all.
“Some customer got a little ahead of himself.”
He was still frowning when he looked up at your face, his thumbs absentmindedly tracing the insides of your wrists. “And are you into that? I mean like…being hurt?”
“Sometimes.” You admitted quietly. With a hoarse throat, you murmured: “Just not with him.”
His gaze flicked back down to your wrists and you? You felt exposed. This wasn’t how it was supposed to go. He wasn’t exposed to examine you in that way. He was supposed to devour you with his eyes, not…not this.
“I’m sorry.” You finally said, shaking your head. “I don’t know what’s going on with me today.”
“Don’t apologize.” He shrugged. “I don’t know what’s going on with me today, either.”
That made you smile, albeit briefly.
His gaze stopped on your lips and his eyes widened almost imperceptibly, as though he didn’t expect to make you smile.
“You know”, he murmured, “you’re much too pretty to be here.”
There it was again. Pretty.
“Oh, yeah? And where should I be?”
He shrugged. “On a yacht. On some rich bastard’s cruise ship, calling him daddy and shit. Just so he can go and buy you expensive shit the next day.”
He didn’t say it with disdain, but you still heard it in his voice.
For some reason, you didn’t want him to believe that.
“I don’t need that shit.”
He scoffed in amusement. “Mhm? And where would you rather be then, huh?”
“I’d like to own a restaurant.”
The words left your lips faster than you could stop them. It made you freeze in your tracks. This was far more personal than anything happening between your legs, at least for you. Sex was just sex. But knowledge, talking, names, dreams, thoughts – that was intimacy. And you had no idea why you were giving that to him.
But his expression didn’t waver. “You can cook?”
You nodded reluctantly. “A few things. Or well, I hope I can. It’s not like I’d gotten many people’s opinions on it.”
“You don’t have many friends then?”
Your silence was answer enough.
“Yeah.” He shrugged. “Me neither.”
After a long, but not at all suffocating silence, he glanced up at you again. “I can see you there, y’know. Behind the counter. What do you cook?”
Your lip twitched. “Risotto.”
“So, mushy rice.”
You laughed. You hadn’t done that in a while. It wasn’t much, but it was there. And it felt good.
“Well, yes, but you shouldn’t hate on it before you try it.”
“I did try it. Mushy rice.”
You smirked. And now, his lip twitched.
“You haven’t tried mine.”
That made his barely-there smirk turn into something softer. “Yeah, y’know, I haven’t eaten anything home-cooked in a few months. You could spit into pot and I’d probably call it soup.”
You chuckled and averted your gaze. “That’s disgusting.”
He shrugged. “You shouldn’t hate on it before you try it.”
That made you look up – and you laughed again. “You’re horrible.” It was meant as a joke and he seemed to catch on that, because he smiled again. It didn’t look predatory at all.
It looked…cute.
“Yeah, ‘been told that sometimes.” He exhaled slowly and his gaze wandered back down to your wrists. Your smile faded slowly, but not so the softness in your eyes.
“It’s really okay.”
“No, not really.” He shrugged and shook his head. “But I’m probably not much better.”
That made you frown in confusion. “Why not?”
His shoulders sagged and he avoided looking at you. “I’ve hurt some people.”
The tension in your body was back, but not as hard. “You’re…not a rapist, right?”
“No, fuck, no.” He said immediately. He exhaled dramatically and shook his head. “Not in what I do.” He said in a softer voice. “But maybe in what I think about.”
“Oh.” You bit your lip and glanced away. “You never acted on it though?”
“Nah.” He said again. “I’m not a fucking rapist. I just…” He shrugged.
“You just think about it.”
He sighed deeply. “Yeah. But I’d never…do it, y’know.”
“Is that why you can’t get off to other things?”
“I don’t know. Possible. I just need some kind of fantasy for it to work.”
You sat up a little straighter, smoothing your dress over your thighs. “And if I acted the part?”
His eyes raked over you for a short, uncertain moment, but eventually he shook his head. “No, I mean, yeah, but…Nah, not right now.” He glanced at your wrists again. “I don’t think I’m in the mood right now.” He snorted. “Fuck, I bet you think I’m a pussy.”
You smiled a crooked smile. “Why would I think that?”
He shrugged. “Because I haven’t fucked you yet.”
“And that makes you less of a man?”
He laughed. An odd sound. Oddly comforting. “Fuck. That pretty mouth of yours got a smart reply for anything I say, yeah?”
You licked your lips and looked up at him, your expression no longer amused, but something else. Something not even you yourself could name.
“Can I ask you a stupid question?”
He cocked a brow and sat down beside the bed, shrugging slightly. “Sure.”
“Why are you here?”
He stiffened immediately, so you quickly added: “You know, you’re young and funny and just…I don’t know. I don’t see why you shouldn’t be out there, fucking whomever without having to pay for it.”
His expression softened, but only slightly. “And you?”
Now, it was you who stiffened. Your throat felt dry. “Me?”
“Yeah. Why are you doing this? You could be out there, doing whatever the fuck. Serving mushy rice to snobby rich kids. Instead you’re here and-“ He glanced at your wrist, but quickly forced his gaze away.
A part of you felt oddly flattered. That he thought you could do that, that you could be anything more than this. Another part of you, the quiet part that never really resisted or burned for anything, that part felt sad.
“I guess I feel like I belong here.”
He looked at you, not hiding his skepticism. “That’s the biggest bullshit I’ve heard in a while.”
Irritation welled up in your chest, but you tried to suppress it. He was a customer, no more. There was no reason to justify yourself on this.
“Whatever.” You murmured, unable to go without saying at least anything to signal your annoyance.
He scoffed and shook his head, not looking at you.
After a long, tense silence, you finally found your voice again. “I’ll tell my boss to give you your money back.”
His head snapped up. “Oh, yeah?” He drawled. “So she can get a good laugh because I can’t perform?”
Your face flushed. “That’s not how I meant it. I just mean…I didn’t do anything for you, so you shouldn’t have to pay.”
“I don’t need your pity.”
When did the conversation get so out of control?
He got to his feet and began to readjust his clothing.
“I just thought…”
“You just thought I’m just some fucking junkie who can’t even properly pay a whore.” He bit out as he zipped up his pants.
The flush on your face increased and suddenly, suddenly the feeling came back. Just like yesterday. The helplessness. But this was worse. This was painful not in a way that scared you, like the man had done yesterday. This was…hurtful. It made you feel something – it made you feel more than you wanted.
You averted your gaze, not responding anything, but you felt when his gaze stopped on you.
For a moment you thought he might say something more. The air around you was thick with guilt and unspoken things.
This wasn’t how these things were supposed to go. You weren’t supposed to feel anything. He was supposed to take what he wanted and leave, feeling better than before, not worse. And neither so you.
But before you could voice your thoughts, he grabbed his jacket and stormed out, leaving you alone and confused.
Today was an odd day.
But you had a feeling there would be more to come.

I know i just requested with weird nicknames for squid game characters.
But I want to see their reaction to your wallpaper being them or being another person. Literally obsessed with what you write its so cute. Take my heart ❤️
Squid Game men’s reaction for putting them as your phone’s wallpaper.
They randomly check your phone one day and find a picture of themselves staring back. How will they react? What kind of wallpaper do they have?
Pairing: Recruiter, Thanos, Nam-gyu x gn!reader
Summary: You putting them as your phone wallpaper, them putting you as their phone wallpaper
Genre: Fluff, maybe a little angst in Nam-gyu’s part (mention of drug use)
Words: 800 per character
Note: I wrote this during my medicine and head concussion induced haze, forgive me for any inconsistencies or mistakes 😭🙏 Also, the middle pictures are a suggestion as what said wallpaper could be.
Gong Yoo // The Recruiter // Salesman

— Choosing you as your wallpaper. —
Mostly surprise and confusion spread swirled in his mind the first time he stared back at himself in the form of your phone wallpaper. He never thought you’d screenshot this picture let alone use it as your wallpaper because c’mon— let’s be honest, you could’ve chosen any other picture of him and yet you decided on this.
It’s weird. Gong Yoo feels a little watched as he tries to find the food delivery app on your phone while having his own eyes stare back at him.
Although he had grown more and more fond of it every time he opened your phone anew. He sees how you grin a little when turning on your screen, how you sometimes giggle when you stare at it for too long. Sometimes you show it off to him and complain about he barely ever wears any skincare masks anymore.
“So you can have a new wallpaper? I don’t think so. My skin is fine for now, thank you darling.”
To be really honest, he finds it incredibly endearing that you chose him as your wallpaper, especially a picture like this. He thinks of himself as a sophisticated, charming, handsome salesman that lures desperate people into a death game and messes with homeless people in his free time, but you seemingly just see him as your soulmate, the love of your life, your husband.
— Choosing you as his wallpaper. —
Two months into the relationship and after a couple of dates, Gong Yoo already set you as his phone wallpaper. It was nice to have a reminder looking back at him to text you, check in on you, give you a call or even come by for dinner. A reminder that he has a special someone to care and love for.
He switches his wallpaper up every few weeks or months, wanting to keep it updated to your appearance. His chosen pictures are mostly intimate ones, snaps he takes while you are being unaware of how cute, attractive or adorable you look.
Pictures like when you are asleep on the couch in his arms after watching a movie, you after waking up and sleepily brushing your teeth in the mirror, you showing your back to him while waiting for the microwave to finish heating up the cheap convenience food, maybe even you stuffing your face with ice cream after a long day.
Whatever picture he may choose (much to your dismay), it always makes him smile to himself no matter the situation. Even if another homeless person asks him for spare change or those two random mobsters tried to jump him in an alleyway and now he was forced to “get rid of them”, a quick glance on his phone and seeing a cute picture of you immediately forces a smile to break out on his face.
The sight of their kidnapper smiling at his phone so lovingly while they were tied up and playing rock-paper-scissors for their lives probably made the two men shit their pants more than feeling the barrel of a revolver being pressed against the side of their head.
Thanos // Su-bong // Player 230

— Choosing him as your wallpaper. —
At first, Thanos reeeaaaallly disliked the picture you chose as your wallpaper. It was just a random reaction picture he send you one day about something he doesn’t even remember, and you went ahead and chose this as your phone wallpaper? Seriously?! Can’t you choose something more handsome, flattering?
He even offered to pose properly for you so you have a better pic to use, but after Thanos obviously started mewing and tried his absolute best to look as attractive as possible (which he already is but shhh), your boyfriend got extremely offended when you started laughing at his posing.
Your boyfriend gave up after a few attempts of secretly changing your wallpaper and seeing you pout every time he did, changing it right back to the one before.
If you really like it that much, fine. Just don’t let anyone see that you have that as your phone wallpaper, or else his rapper persona will never be able to recover from being exposed like that.
You don’t even understand why he is being so dramatic about your wallpaper anyway.
“I look hella ugly there, c’mon baby! Work with me here!! Here, lemme pose for you real quick so you can change that thing.”
Although it does flashbang you in the middle of the night when you turn on your phone, the brightness of the picture vaporising your eyes in an instant. It’s not the most pleasant thing to look at first thing in the morning but you still think he looks kinda cute in the pic.
— Choosing you as his wallpaper. —
He was careful to choose the prettiest picture of you he can find and the proceed to show it off to everyone he meets. Thanos even showed you off to Nam-gyu multiple times, forgetting that he already showed his friend the same picture four times now. Nam-gyu is already totally looking forward to next week when Thanos shows you off again.
Your boyfriend grins like a child whenever he glances at his phone for too long, falling in love with your picture all over again.
He changes his wallpaper every week so he always has something cute to look at after performing at another underground club or while doing whatever, sometimes getting distracted from searching for a certain app and instead ending up scrolling through either your social media account or his photo library to search for more pics of you.
Whenever you catch Thanos grin at his phone again, your first instinct is to glance over his shoulder to check what exactly he is looking at, but he immediately closes his phone when you do. At first you thought he might be looking at some random girl’s profile or whatever, but when you open it up and find yourself staring back, you’re kind of surprised to be honest.
Although, he always denies that he really cares about his wallpaper. Your boyfriend is totally choosing it at random and totally does not match his lock screen with his homescreen and mostly chooses pictures of you two together, you kissing his cheek or him holding you. Not at all!
Nam-gyu // Player 124

— Choosing you as your wallpaper. —
You choose a rather cute picture as your wallpaper. You took it during one of your first dates where you dragged him to a festival that was being held near your home, dragging Nam-gyu there against his will. Back then he had shorter hair, wore his glasses more frequently. Back then he was a little shy believe it or not, at least when it came to romance.
He used more before he met you, being around alcohol and drugs at all times due to his occupation. It kind of came with his job and the circle of friends he was around, so before meeting you, there was barely any day he wasn’t high or having a hangover from some random drug.
Nam-gyu never noticed you had this picture as your phone wallpaper until he accidentally grabbed your phone, thinking it was his. Seeing this picture in particular gave him a brief jumpscare.
You took this picture after he managed to scrap out the star shape out of the sugar cookie he bought from a random stand during the festival. His hair was shorter back then and he wore his glasses more frequently, the mask a reminder of how times were 5 years ago. He struggled staying clean during that time and always felt like shit wich is why he didn’t want to go to the festival in the first place.
He didn’t even know you took this picture of him despite him fully looking at the camera. A small smile spread on his face at the thought of you really choosing a picture like this as your phone wallpaper.
Quickly putting your phone down, Nam-gyu quickly played off his reaction as he hard you come into the room.
“I’m smiling about nothing, shaddup. Go back to wherever you came from.”
With a dismissive hand wave, he tried to shoo you away. His attempts were futile as you instead pull him into a clingy hug, instead demanding cuddles instead. Who was he to deny your wish?
— Choosing you as his wallpaper. —
Nam-gyu likes taking 0.5x zoom pictures of you from above and choosing them as his phone wallpaper, pushing you away as you try to protest and stop him from putting them as his wallpaper because seriously, he can literally choose any other pic!
You can hear quiet, evil “hehe”s from the corner of the room whenever you two are together and he turns on his phone, briefly turning it around so you can see what he was giggling so stupidly at, only for him to giggle harder at the sight of your unamused face.
Even if he mainly chooses those pictures as his phone wallpaper to annoy you, he likes having a stupid picture of you always available to him.
Some shitty guy searching for a fight at the club? Quick glance at your face at a 0.5x zoom makes him crack a smile right after. Thanos called him Nam-su, Gyu-nam or literally anything else but his name again? Turning his phone on lightens his mood immediately.
Sure, a flattering or cute picture of you would have the same effect on him, but this is much funnier in his opinion.
