Nakia Saber Intro
if you're hearing EMILY by SAN FERMIN playing, you have to know NAKIA SABER (HE/HIM; CISMAN) is nearby! the 32 year old GRADUATE ART HISTORY STUDENT/GALLERY ATTENDANT has been in denver for, like 32 YEARS. they're known to be quite STUBBORN, but being HONEST seems to balance that out. or maybe it's the fact that they resemble ZEEKO ZAKI. personally, i'd love to know more about them seeing as how they've got those NEVER EXPECTING TO MAKE IT THIS FAR, UNKNOWN FUTURE, ALWAYS HIDING WHAT YOU'RE FEELING vibes. and maybe i'll get my chance if i hang around the CHERRY CREEK DISTRICT long enough!

Nakia was the oldest of three kids to two loving parents. After immigrating from Egypt, Dina and Aton decided to start a family and have the perfect American Dream. And honestly they did have the perfect, loving, family that kids could only dream of having. Sure Nakia thought that his family could be embarrassing at times but he loved them and knew that he was loved.
DEATH TW/CAR ACCIDENT TW
When Naika was just fourteen years old his father called one night saying he was going to be home late from work. During dinner the doorbell rang and they were greeted by a policeman with some very terrible news. Aton had died in a car accident.
TW END
The family was obviously heart broken and their life had changed forever. Nakia had tried to step up and help out as much as he could and never tried to make life hard for his mother.
CANCER TW
Which was why he never complained about how he was getting tired all the time and in pain. He didn't think there was much to be concerned about and there was no reason to worry his mother. It wasn't until other people started noticing did Nakia agree to get checked out by his doctor. Again the family was completely changed when it was revealed that Nakia had Leukemia.
He tried to be upbeat during the whole process but overall it left him pretty jaded. But hey at least he got an arch nemesis out of it!
TW END
Since getting his life back he's been trying to live life to the fullest. Finding his art passion in the hospital he knew that was the only thing he wanted to do from now on. He keeps putting off his Master's degree because he genuinely is afraid of what is going to happen when he's done since he has worked for so long for this.
★𝙒𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨★
Roommates - I'm sure Nakia can't afford a place alone and genuinely would be a great person to be roommates with
Friends - Listen Nakia is a bit grumpy, please love him anyway
Frequent Fliers - He can talk for hours about art and maybe you go to the gallery a lot and every time he wants to infodump about all the different paintings
Ex's/Flings/FWB - Genuinely he is so soft when it comes to romance that it would be fun for him to show it in different ways
This is late and idk what else to put I'll rewrite this later

Marvel "Solo" Films- Unpopular Opinion
I don't know if there will be a 3rd solo/stand alone Black Panther film, but so far I'd say the Black Panther movies are the most consistent stand alone films in the MCU.
Black Panther was a cultural phenomenon with one of the best villains in the entire MCU. The cast, the world-building, COSTUMES, music. The only downside was that the 3rd act fight was dark. Wakanda Forever was a meaningful study in grief with perhaps the best teaser trailer EVER. Again, great cast, music, costumes, world-building. HEART. Namor was compelling. A little overstuffed w Iron Heart & Val on top of well-done Talokon. M'Baku stands out in both films. Nakia, Ramonda, Okoye & the Dorae. The tone from one film to the other is CONSISTENT.
Iron Man trilogy- the first Iron Man movie was awesome. Darker, grittier than much of the rest of the MCU. RDJ becoming Tony Stark. Cool suits/tech. Funny. Sad. Awesome. And then... the sequels kind of sucked. Yes, they had cool tech & stunts & RDJ carried them. But Tony pissing the suit? Bird? Fake Mandarin? *Cringe* They were bad.
My beloved, Captain America. Chris Evans did a great job as Steve Rogers. More nuanced & less flashy/quippy than Tony Stark, but great. CATFA was a sweet little comics movie w vintage vibe. Red Skull is a campy villain done as well as they could. Pretty good movie, not groundbreaking. BUT THEN- Captain America the Winter Soldier happened. It made Cap a badass. Fight scenes were AMAZING. Elevator scene! Cap & WS in the streets & at the end! Cap vs Quinjet! Nick Fury car chase. Black Widow badassery. Winter Soldier was scary & Hydra menacing. A tight, well-directed, well-written, well-edited, overall great FILM. Best of the MCU. PEAK Steve Rogers characterization. Yes. LOVED CATWS. So, then, Marvel said... "fuck Steve Rogers and his fans" (forever bitter & fuck you too Marvel). "RDJ's aging out & he makes $$$$. Let's give him Cap's 3rd film cuz BatmanVSuperman is coming & we're scared." IF you look at CACW as a Cap film, then Tony would be the villain. He's the 3rd act fight, the other face on the poster, the one trying to kill Steve. But, it's NOT a Cap film because Marvel couldn't suck RDJ off enough & could never nuance Tony's lack of emotional control as villainous. Nope. They made him Wooby crying out for his Mama. Waah! It's Avengers 2.5. It introduces Spiderman & Black Panther. It features every Avenger. It starts w Tony's early life trauma/loss of his parents/intro of his loving mom. (NO Sarah Rogers in Cap3, tho.) Then his guilt over lying & making Ultron & nearly ending the world. The longer end scene is Tony tending to his BF's injuries & sulking over Steve's apology. THEN we get a glimpse of Steve rescuing his friends from The Raft. Steve BARELY had more screen time than Tony in supposed Cap3. So, it's not a stand alone film. Cap fans were robbed.
The Thor films? Well. Uneven is an understatement. 1st Thor is kind of like the first Cap movie. Different tone. Deals well with campy comic elements. Branagh directed it as Shakespearean dramedy in space. Asgard is beautiful. Movie was made for the female gaze (like Mr. Hemsworth) and is a female fan fave. Thor the Dark World... is a dull follow-up. Malekith is the dullest villain ever. Dark Elves are so generic looking it's sad. If they'd been done differently, it could've had real menace. Lots of people are afraid of the dark, after all. Instead, Dark World is the most panned of all early Marvel films. Ragnarok is its polar opposite. Bright, colorful, comic-beautiful, but too funny. There's zero gravity to anything. Asgard explodes? Time for another joke. It's a fave, especially male fans. Thor is more badass in it, too. Loki is great. The faux tease of World War Hulk had fanboys delirious. And then there was Love & Thunder. Oh, L&T. Female fans were so excited for Mighty Thor/Jane Foster. Male fans were delirious that Gorr was coming & being played by Christian Bale. And, it's a huge flop. Again, comics beautiful. Too quippy, Taika. Not dark enough/wasted Gorr. Honestly, I enjoyed the kids/kiddishness because we took our son & he loved all that.
AntMan? The first was well done. Offbeat. Paul Rudd is CHARMING. Luis was the best thing in it. Scott's love for his daughter gave it HEART. Funny & fun. Great tone, though villain was meh. AntMan & the Wasp? Less fun. In big part that's because there were cast members phoning it in. Fishburne doesn't realize he was in it, FFS. Positive fam dynamic was too cheesily played. Meh. Then, Quantumania. Wait that may be the biggest flop of all MCU now. No stakes. No LUIS??? Exposition that something's coming? Lots of "care about these quirky characters you just met" and "listen... we're telling you Kang is bad... what? why should we show you?" Sigh. And... visuals were murky when the Quantum Realm should be vivid and sharp and vibrant and the most important element of the film.
Marvel is lucky so many fans have good imaginations and make their characters better than they did.

So, What If...? season three came out yesterday and are releasing episodes daily. So, here's my thoughts on episode one. *SPOILERS*
The episode had this classic 60s/70s animated intro on the Avengers which was kinda like the classic voltron. It was an homage to the main team who died from the gamma beasts.
Yeah, the main Avengers are dead. Add another point to the number of times Tony Stark died. Seriously, I think Tony, Thanos and Vision are the top 3 characters to have died multiple times.
Sam and Bruce becoming friends. Not what I was expecting but I liked it. Especially when Sam was trying to help Bruce with his counseling, which is something many would forget about Sam.
How the gamma beasts came to be. I mean, I get why Bruce did it. Hulking out in front of Sam, and not wanting his one friend to see him as a monster (which he never did) and not wanting to be alone? Understandable. But, using gamma to get the Hulk out? If anything, I thought it would've powered him up even more. But, it worked, and it looked like a kaijuu that spawned other kaijuus.
The mechs. Each one of them have a unique design that matches their pilot, but do any of the characters still have their powers and abilities? Plus, some events from the MCU had to be canon in this What If, but I can't really narrow down all of them.
I wasn't expecting how the new Avengers formed a team, as this is a Sam Wilson-centric episode, but the new team's not bad. Sam, Monica, Shang-Chi, Nakia, Marc (no Steven Grant sadly), Bucky, and Melina and Alexei.
I like the dynamic Sam and Monica have. I think some people would ship it, but knowing the fandom, they'd be shipping Sam and Bruce more.
This episode had a lot of gundam, power rangers/super sentai, voltron, godzilla vibes which honestly, made me laugh at this episode. Not sure if it was because it's funny or if it was ridiculous.
Sam and Bruce reunion which I get where both are coming from. At least Bruce was doing more than just hiding and was the one who made the Avenger megazord protocol (it's not what it's called, but I'm gonna call it that anyway). And, Sam does have every right to be mad, yet he still wants him to understand that he never saw Bruce as a monster.
So, the megazord didn't help, but that talk with Sam helped Bruce come back to help which was to take a nuke's worth of radiation to become Hulkzilla
He's called Mega Hulk, but dude looks like the love child of Hulk and Godzilla, so I'm gonna call him Hulkzilla. HE EVEN HAS HIS OWN BREATH ATTACK! 🤣🤣🤣 Yeah, it made me laugh.
Kaijuu battle and with Sam's help, Hulkzilla wins. It was sweet that Sam talked with him to reach to Bruce, and it worked as he leads the other monsters to an isolated island. Not gonna lie, I was expecting the Jurassic Park theme to play when the final scene showed all the monsters at the island. 😆
And, that was pretty much it. Honestly, this felt like the showrunners wanted to make their own kaijuu/sentai/voltron episode and it really shows. I dunno if I'd call it a What If kind of episode like the ones in season 2, but it made me laugh. It was weird though. Hey, maybe someone would make a power rangers edit from this episode.
Anyway, I'll be back on my commentary on episode 2 which is the Agatha Harkness and Kingo episode.

Okay, just got back from Wakanda Forever. Spoilers after the cut. Just one thing everyone needs to know: there's a post-credit scene after the first credits but nothing after the long ones. Don't wait.
Today I was reminded of why I became a fan of Marvel years ago. I have a few nitpicks but overall the movie is pretty great, Shuri is absolutely AMAZING throughout the entire film and this was a worthy sequel to the first one.
First things first, the funeral of T'Challa was handled beautifully: as a celebration. Of him, of life, of what he represented. It was beautiful and heartbreaking but so, so lovely. The entire film is a love letter for him.
Shuri is astounding and I really like how they handled her character throughout the entire story. First, after the loss of her brother she's mostly suppressing everything, probably still in shock and hiding behind her work. Then, after her mother's death she wants vengeance and towards the end... she finds acceptance. Love it.
Oh that's another thing, we see so many women in this movie. Each of them with their own story, it truly was a joy to watch. This is what feminism is truly about, Marvel. Women with their own arcs, personalities, agency, strength shown in a million different ways and partnerships with other men. GIVE US MORE OF THIS.
One nitpick is they spent too much time underwater. I would have preferred that time spent in Wakanda instead.
Namor's character is okay (I'm a Spaniard so I'll keep certain... thoughts... to myself). The hypocrisy in his actions and thoughts was clear and I gotta highlight the scene he has with one of his people after Shuri has spared his life.
I get hero movies do this thing where the good guy takes the high road and thinks not killing the villain makes them a better person or something. Ok fine, not a huge fan of that trope but whatever, it doesn't bother me all that much. What I LOVED about the movie is that they kept that scene of Namor where he's telling one of his kind that he's going to use this to their advantage, that his plans are still in play and he still wants to wage a war against the surface.
Films don't usually do that, they go the route of "villain sees the hero display goodness and he becomes good automatically". That's bullshit. I'm glad this one didn't do that.
I also loved the callbacks to CW with the line of "vengeance consuming" them.
I'm not a fan of how they handled Erik, though. I felt they somewhat... retconned his purpose in the first movie? Maybe it's just me but he wasn't doing it for the black people who live outside of Wakanda, he wanted a war and that was the excuse. The one who wanted to help others was Nakia. She did, in fact, and T'Challa followed suit.
Also, not a fan of how Namor assumes Wakanda doesn't have allies. I find it so, so hard to believe that a country as tech-advanced as them wouldn't have the entire southern hemisphere by their side. I get the feeling they might mean no one in the Western world would be on their side which is hard to believe but sure, I get it. The rest of Africa, though? I don't like the idea that Wakanda doesn't have allies. Hopefully in future installments they'll show that's not true.
And that post-credit scene... is Marvel collecting kids these days?
One more nitpick. When Ramonda demotes Okoye and effectively kicks her out of the Doras, I would have wanted to hear from her. She's a warrior who has devoted her entire life to Wakanda, and her demotion was completely unfair, I would have wanted her to defend herself.
I loved M'Baku in this one.
PS. I gotta say I was surrounded by the greatest audience you can possibly have. The Marvel intro only showed footage of Chadwick and the silence in the room was insane. You couldn't hear a damn thing. And in the end absolute silence during Rihanna's song as well. You always hear nightmare stories about people's behaviour in theatres but damn, today's audience was spectacular.
I almost forgot. i won't complain about this because I didn't see anyone marketing this movie as queer rep but there's one line where Ayo says "my love" to another woman. That's it. Marvel are so progressive, aren't they... 🙄
Overall, I'll give this one a 8/10. It's a good contained story that works wonders as a standalone (as far as sequels go that is, you need the first one), it takes the time to develop the main character and provides scenes for the audience to breathe. It certainly feeds into the longer narrative of the MCU universe but it doesn't waste time trying to keep the audience looking forward, you can pause and focus on the story on the screen, that's super refreshing to see in Phase Four.
Please Marvel, give us more of this.

(WAKANDA FOREVER SPOILERS! PLS DON'T READ IF HAVEN'T WATCHED THE MOVIE)
Saw the movie yesterday so here are my thoughts:
Holy shit, almost cried in the beggining where T'challa dies and the intro homage to Chadwick.
That part where the divers submerge into the deep sea gave me thalassophobia, ngl, also reminded me of the opening scene in jwfk by no reason lmao.
Holy! Mayan soundtrack YES!
I feel like just when they think they're gonna escape- oh there it is, they're dead.
OMG IS THAT THE GUY FROM THE LOST WORLD: JURASSIC PARK?!
The Wakanda arrival parallels tho.
We got a new Jarvis!
Namor's wings XDDDD (Also, the elephants looked so majestic there)
Everett my beloved.
I'm glad Riri didn't feel forced as i first thought.
Namora beating Okoye's ass? How?
haha whales and killer whales go brrr.
NO...NOT THAT WOMAN AGAIN...
She's Everett's ex-wife?
Riri and her pop culture references omg.
Talokan is so beautiful...
Omg A JUEGO DE PELOTA!
That's right Namor! End those spain colonizers!
Yucatecan legends are op! Also the village reminded me of a cacao sembrance i once visited there.
GO KUKULKAN GO!
FUCK, HE DROWNED RAMONDA?!
Nakia my beloved.
Shuri no! You can't kill Namor, he's hot!
Killmonger, YOU SON OF A BITCH!
She looks kind of skinny tho in the suit, but she's awesome.
water battle!
Can't they just use the sing they used at the beggining?
Funny how Okoye ended up using the suit she ashamed.
Attuma is kind of hot...
haha Namora goes brrr.
Nooo! Namora!
Did you just cut Namor's little wings?
She too? Gosh, what's between wakandians and death.
Namor said he wanted to burn the world, not himself, Shuri.
Forgive him, forgive him, forgive him.
Let's get you to water, my fishy.
All the parallels between T'challa and Shuri, i'm crying.
They had a son?!
Well, at least he didn't die in vain
T'challa jr. So cute <3 also, auntie Shurie, y'all!

Okay so I saw Black Panther Wakanda Forever last night here are my thoughts.
(DM's are open for incoherent screeching about how good it was)
Chadwick Boseman. My god. This movie felt like closure for us too, as well as the characters. It was truly beautiful. I was in a cinema with a couple of assholes who liked sprinting down the stairs making fast noises and talking but they were silent with that intro. Everyone was. It was so goddamn powerful my god
This movie was so fucking emotional. I lost count of the amount of times I cried. This is the first cinema I've been in where EVERYBODY clapped when Shuri was there in her Black Panther suit, "The Black Panther lives!" And it felt amazing.
The themes of grief and vengeance feel awfully similar to Peter in No Way Home, having lost absolutely everyone and getting so goddamn angry, but in the end you don't kill them because you're not like that. And this is in no way a complaint. I LOVED that Shuri was able to show all these emotions and yell and scream and grieve and cry. I honestly would have said "fair enough" if she killed Namor. Letitia Wright is such a fucking amazing actress and she absolutely blew me away.
Also just every woman in this movie makes me so goddamn gay and we love them for it
Anyways speaking of Namor! He was really cool! I could agree with his motives and his look was just so cool. The underwater scenes were breathtaking. And I absolutely fucking LOVED the siren song sort of thing they had. Literal chills, just seeing them all. Jump off. Just like that. They really were a show of power and I was genuinely uneasy about the outcome of the fight.
I feel M'Baku definitely convinced me in this movie that he's more than just a comedic relief side character, he really gave it his all and was there for Shuri and he's iconic in his skirt.
The Dora Milaje remain as every fucking badass, I love them so much. I will now be holding onto Ayo and Aneka for the time being, for safekeeping. And Okoye remains as ever an icon, the scene where she is stripped of her rank really hit you right in the feels.
I never really thought of Queen Ramonda a lot, but she really left a lasting impact for me here. Her speech at the UN was very powerful and she held the attention of any room she was in. Her death is fucking heartbreaking and M'Baku holding Shuri back while she screams for her mam - like fuck. Why do you do this to me. Why.
I think Riri Williams will be fun to see again, I don't really have much to say about her in this movie but she was a good character. The parallels to Tony Stark were not gone unnoticed.
T'CHALLA AND NAKIA HAD A SON😭😭😭
Everett Ross could probably have gone without being in this movie lol but he was good to see, we love our American white boy trying to keep things peaceful while having no fucking clue of anything that's going on. He's just trying his best.
And I hardly recognised Val, so she's the director of what, the government?? Also that nugget of information that she was married to Ross at one stage it's like wait what - 😃 But anyways. Hope she shows up more and maybe we can learn more about her!
Overall this was a fantastic movie, it made me cry so many times and gave us a beautiful story. Thank you everyone involved in making it and RIP Chadwick 🕊️<3

WIP Intro: Intlungu (Pain)
Genre: Black Panther Fanfiction/Sci-Fi Fantasy/Angst
Synopsis: Continuing from the Disintegration AU, Intlungu explores the aftermath of Nakia and Kya's lives after the blip and how the decision Nakia made damaged their sister-ship.
Author's Note: The Kia and Kya Series is a canon-divergent series with some canon compliance to the movies. While the series has taken a life of its own and continues from the first movie, this WIP explores what would happen if the events from Wakanda Forever occurred in that series. In short terms, this is an AU of an AU. Also, Erik does exist in the main series, but I couldn't figure out how to work him in this series, so he isn't present here.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever - Spoiler Review
This is a very spoilery review, so enter if you dare...
I loved this movie so much. It really felt like a goodbye to Chadwick, from start to finish. There were moments that were hard to watch, including the intro which was hair-raisingly silent, the funeral and seeing the Black Panther suit on somebody else (which I'll talk more about later). I know there's a lot of controversy surrounding T'Challa being recast but I genuinely believe this was the better approach. It would have been weird to pretend like Chadwick never existed. I can't just erase him from my mind for a new actor, nor do I want to. Chadwick played T'Challa with such grace and perfection and had led some of my favourite scenes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in general. I'm also so glad that T'Challa wasn't just killed by someone off screen or something ridiculous. They made it a similar cause of death and even mentioned how he suffered in silence, which was a really sweet touch. Chadwick was so strong, up until the very end. It feels nice, knowing his memory is being honoured.
Going into this, I had no idea what the plot was going to be, other than Namor being the villain. So I didn't realise that Riri Williams was going to be playing a major role in this movie. Immediately, I was enamoured by her character, so I'm ready to learn more about her. There were some hints to her background which I appreciated - I like having some mystery to her until her series. The design of her suits were really fun and creative. The original homemade one was a lot of fun and I loved the parallels she had with Tony Stark. When she pushed the limits and went as high as she could go to take down the satellite and even her workshop had the Stark vibe. There were nice nods to her inspiration, but it still very much felt like her own character. She's not a knock-off Tony, she's more than that.
Namor's a little shit and I love it. I'll be honest, I wasn't thrilled that he was going to be the villain in this movie. I've recently started getting into comics and started reading the original issues from the 60's and Namor is the most arrogant prick on the pages so far. I wasn't a fan of his character, especially the winged feet, but the MCU made him likable (and I'm sure the comics will eventually down the line). They instantly made him a formidable foe, with the help of Letitia and Angela's acting. They made it look so easy, to capture Shuri and Riri and defeat Okoye. I would have liked more background on the people around Namor, maybe show us a bit more personality, because they felt a bit like Stormtroopers (faceless henchmen). However, they made up for it with Namor's backstory. They hit you with this gut punch of reality, that Namor stepped onto land and witnessed humans enslaving humans. The realisation that the surface world, the world his mother adored, had become a place to fear and pity. Namor's just looking for an excuse to rule the surface world, to bring order and punishment to us and perhaps we deserve it. I am quite surprised they didn't mention sea pollution though...
I loved Shuri in the original movie and I loved her in this one too, however they feel like very different characters. And it's understandable, she lost her brother. But even so, I definitely felt the shift from side character to protagonist very quickly. I'm not a huge fan of Letitia, but she and the writers made me emphathise with her right away. I will say, I disagree that she should be the Black Panther. I know that she's T'Challa's sister, but she's not a fighter. She's a scientist. The Black Panther is meant to protect the country, so I personally think the herb should've been given to Okoye. She's the literal protector of the throne and is such an incredibly skilled fighter - imagine what she could do with the herb. It just makes sense to me that it would be Okoye. Shuri can be the Midnight Sun instead. I'd also be okay with Nakia being the Black Panther, but I'm also quite happy with the idea of her coming and going from Wakanda as she pleases. I will say, why not split the herb? Why not give it to multiple people - especially at a time like this. Why not give it to Riri, Okoye and Nakia during that epic battle? We know we can trust them, so we may as well get all the help we can get.
I will say, this movie seemed pretty dark in lighting. I don't know if that's just me, but even in a cinema, it felt like it was darker than usual Marvel movies. I understand, because long portions of it is set at night/underwater, but I wish they had still lightened it up a little bit more, because there were some moments where the acting was literally overshadowed.
If Angela Bassett doesn't get an Oscar for this role, I'm suing somebody. Flawless performances. I got so many full-body chills. The scene where she's firing Okoye as the general is one of my new favourite scenes. Although I'm on Okoye's side, Angela's performance and the writing for her character made it impossible to argue with her. Such a powerful scene. I was so mad when Ramonda died. I will say, I wish she had a more epic death, but I guess when the villain is of the seas, someone dying of drowning is reasonable. It just felt like a bit of a lame way to go for such an impactful character. But maybe I'm just upset she died at all. I did think for a moment that Okoye was going to save her, to prove she was worthy to be general buuuut that didn't happen.
That end credit scene though? A son named T'Challa? I almost cried. I think if/when I watch that scene again I'll bawl. Such a beautiful way to continue T'Challa's legacy. I'm curious if T'Challa jr will inherit the Black Panther powers, because I'm assuming his parents did it while T'Challa sr was still the Black Panther. I'm also assuming that they're still setting up the Young Avengers, with T'Challa jr being another addition. That's very, very interesting. Really excited to see how that develops in the future.
It goes without saying, but the music was 10/10. Loved it. Gave me goosebumps several times.
I absolutely loved this movie and despite there are certain things I'd have done differently, I'm not mad at the movie at all. It's a great addition to Phase 4.

Worries about Wakanda Forever
Spoilers for me please.
So... what is the morality of the film? That is the question that is gonna decide if I view it.
Reviews I’m reading or listening to by podcast are giving me real concerns.
What is Riri’s relation to Wakanda and how does she interact with a tech advance nation that was hidden, and is mad at her for daring to advance herself? And she’s super smart, but who is she? And why does she imitate Stark and his tech? How does she feel about these powers and their actions in universe as heroes or leaders of them? Why is she suiting up per say or doing her arc?
What is going on with Nakia?
What is going on with Wakanda politically? Not just in the face of T’Challa’s death but before and after? With the snap and fight that took place where they played such a major role? What is Namor or finding a new king and Black Panther in all this?
I’m not here for grief porn using Chadwick’s passing to skate on everyone’s character development. This is the movie and characters that deserve more than to pretend depth is to equate them to their emotional reactions just as cast or fan. Give me how his death really affects this family and country and MCU world, don’t paper it in tribute.
And then they are killing the mom too?!
Finally... what is this scene everyone is talking about with Ramonda and Okye? Like, seriously if the argument hinges on Black Panther 1′s events it’s woefully stupid. After the snap and the two years out before where Okye operated for Wakanda. If Ramonda argues she’s unfit as general, but only now, then Wakanda’s governance and the royal family is insane and doesn’t operate the country or respect its rules with any reason or logic. This is not the Okye and Nakia scene. This is parody.
Finally, the antis arguing Riri or tone incoherence because the MCU has never thrown a character in just for promo, made the action or comedy of the naive new character go against the overall film’s drive, when it doesn’t fit the tone or theme of the story, shows how blindly we all bought the complete sameness of that is exactly what the MCU did and was rewarded with for Spider-man’s intro in Civil War, which was lauded. (Personally no, but overall accepted.) People have no right to bitch because we already bought that sell.

First off:
The all Chadwick marvel intro, the whole theater was silent. It’s as if we all silently agreed to shut up for that moment.
The fact that they had T’Challa die of an unspoken illness… no words, I don’t know how to feel
Ramonda and Namor carried the whole damn movie
Killmonger??? I- I love how he ‘returned’ but didn’t actually return
T’Challa’s SON OH MY GOD
Riri! Loved her sm.
Okoye and Nakia, absolutely perfect and slayed every scene.

It's Never Wrong When You're In Love...
I haven’t felt this type of thing in a while. I thought I lost myself in love until I found you.
- “Natural” Sabrina Claudio
I’m telling you right now from this day on, I’ve already weighed out the pros and cons, your just the woman I want.”
-"4evermore" Anthony David (ft. Algebra)
“Mrs. Jordan,” Michael leaned over and whispered in his bride’s ear. “Yes, Mr. Jordan?” Zoe beamed as she and her new husband waited for their cue to walk into the reception party. “You look absolutely breathtaking today. Coming down that aisle I was watching you like hot damn that’s my lady,” Michael grinned as Zoe slapped his arm, laughter falling from her lips. “Shut up, you were crying too,” the bride reminded, allowing Michael to wrap his arm around her waist.
“Yeah but that was the internal monologue,” he insisted as one of the tech workers handed each of them a microphone. The intro to “4evermore” by Anthony David began to blare on the other side of the banquet hall doors. “You ready?”
Zoe nodded and took her husband's hand. The doors opened on cue and the couple walked in belting their respective parts of the song.
“Forever’s a mighty long time but I really wanna spend it with you. I shine when you shine. There's really no substitute. 4evermore,”
The two danced around each other singing along with the track. The audience joined in clapping as the newlyweds continued their performance. “I’m making my plans just to be with you. It’s you and me, babe, till the days are through, And I ain’t ashamed, love, to say I do,” Michael crooned
They went through the chorus again before Zoe got her chance to shine, consequently surprising the guests who’d never heard her sing, “Pick a tree to carve our names, let the world know it’s not a game. Last longer than a wedding ring, generations tattooed with the love we bring. From the seeds we sow, to the time it takes to grow. Long enough to show you, I won’t let go of you. Without you, I'm incomplete, like this love song without this beat. I’m saying you are the man I need,” Zoe sang causing the crowd to erupt in cheers.
“I didn’t know Zoe could sing,” Shuri leaned over to her brother who was carrying both of his children in his arms. “She doesn’t often, but she’s great,” he nodded, trying to stop the regret flooding through his veins by bouncing his fussy two, almost, three-year-olds. He watched as their mother spun and sang with her husband. A man that wasn’t him. A man who was making her laugh and having fun on the dance floor as Camden started the rap verse in the song. His attention was then pulled to Nakia, as she laughed and danced on the sidelines of the dance floor cheering on Zoe and Michael with the rest of the bridesmaids and groomsmen.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, give it up for the new Mr. And Mrs. Michael B. Jordan. That was the best wedding entrance I’ve ever seen,” the DJ announced as the crowd began settling back in their seats. Zoe-Iman laughed as Michael handed over their mics and pulled her in close for their first dance. “I’m serious, who giving the new Mrs. Jordan a record deal, cause sis got some mad pipes. I know all this money in here, there’s gotta be a music exec looking for fresh talent. But, imma get off my soapbox so this new union can enjoy their first dance as husband and wife.”
Soon, “Butterflies Pt.2” by Queen Naija was drifting from the speakers as Michael gently swayed with his new wife, the couple singing along softly to each other. You going to ask Nakia to dance?” Shuri caught her brother’s attention as she grabbed her niece from his arms. Not wanting to be left behind, Meluzmi began wriggling from his father’s arms to get down to the floor with his sister. “I don’t think Nakia wants to talk to me.” The king glanced again at his ex-wife dancing with Camden. “Nonsense, you all were friends first,” Ramonda interrupted, stooping to kiss both of her grandchildren. “That is why your father, and hers, thought you would make a great match.”
“You all are running the country well together, for over a year now.” Shuri pointed out smiling as the toddlers began bopping along to the song with each other. “Business conversations do not mean she will want to dance with me. Besides, she seems like she is having a good time with Camden.”
Shuri shook her head, “I’m taking the twins to dance, Mama, do something with him please,” the now 19-year old shook her head and headed towards the floor as the song shifted, signaling that other couples could join the wedding party on the floor. “Dance with me,” Ramonda extended a hand and the son turned king accepted and escorted her onto the floor.
“You know,” the queen mother started a few seconds later, “the first time you brought Zoe home, I was sure that within a year or two, you’d be telling your father you wanted to marry her.”
T’Challa smiled, “I was that obvious?”
Ramonda chuckled, “Painfully. You were looking at her like a lovesick fool the whole time she was there. Your father tried several times to give you his permission to date him. Even blatantly asking if you all were dating, but you were so stubborn.”
T’Challa looked away and swallowed, “It was not my finest hour and it will forever remain one of my biggest regrets, but I am happy for her.”
“You are, but you are also jealous. Zoe gave you plenty of chances, she even bore your children T’Challa but you were so stubborn, you lost your chance. Now that she’s happy, you should try to find happiness of your own. If not with Nakia, try again with someone. Don’t spend your life believing these were the only two women who could ever have been a great wife. Zoe found her happiness, Nakia is working on hers, it’s time you find your own.”
“Umama-” the king started. “Happiness outside of your children T’Challa, you need adult company too. Company you actually like, the elders don’t count.”
The king sighed and glanced across the room, “I’d like to try again, but I fear I will always wonder what Nakia and Zoe think of her.”
“That is your problem, you always wonder what everyone else is thinking, son.”
“You loved Zoe, but you were so afraid that we would hate her, you hid her and lost her. You had feelings for Nakia, but you wondered what she would think about what you had done to Zoe, so you pushed her away. Stop wondering what one girl will think about the other. Find your happiness, then bring her around. You always attract wonderful people, and we all always love each other. Think about it son, who else’s ex-wife is good friends with the woman her husband was cheating and had children with?”
Ramonda laughed, watching Zoe and Nakia dance with the rest of the wedding party. The king joined in chuckling as his mother continued, “Stop pitting the women against each other before they can even meet. Just let yourself fall in love freely son. We just want you to be happy.”
Zoe instinctively held her head further back as a smirk crossed her new husband’s lips. “Now, Michael, this is a very expensive white dress-”
“And you look beautiful baby-,” he raised his hand with a piece of cake in it closer to Zoe’s face. “Michael,” Zoe whined as his smirk turned into a full-on grin, “What? I’m just trying to feed my beautiful wife.”
“No, you are not!” Zoe laughed and dodged Michael’s hand, “I don’t wanna ruin my makeup, I paid a lot for it,” the bride pouted. “Fine,” the groom sighed, “I’ll be on my best behavior.”
“Thank you,” Zoe beamed and allowed him to feed her the piece of cake, she leaned in, kissed his lips, and smashed the piece of cake and icing onto his face, “Gotcha,” she cackled as Michael wiped icing from his mouth. The guests doubled over in laughter as he wrapped a giggling Zoe up in his arms and shook her. “You play dirty,” he laughed. “Mama!” two voices cried out as Ka’aulani and Meluzmi ran to their mom and stepfather. “Cake,” Meluzmi pleaded and his twin nodded her head in agreement. “Okay baby, “Zoe smiled. Michael cut them two small pieces and handed Zoe a plate. The caterers took over cutting up the rest of the large cake for the couple as they led their children over to the main table.
Michael took his self-proclaimed best friend Meluzmi in his lap and let him try and figure out how to spear the soft pieces of dessert, before eventually helping him out. Not wanting her daughter to ruin her dress or hair, Zoe still couldn't understand how so much of the toddler’s meals ended up in her curls, the mother alternated between feeding the toddler and herself. The small family sat sharing cake in silence, bobbing softly to the beat of Kiss Me More while watching their guests tear it up on the dance floor and fight over pieces of cake. “There you two are!” Shuri sighed obviously frustrated, “ T’Challa is gonna kill me, he wanted me to keep them so you could enjoy yourself.”
“Girl,” Zoe dismissed. “He will be fine. My babies just wanted some cake and their mommy.”
On cue, the twins giggled. “Are you having fun?”
Shuri shrugged, I’m just glad to see you happy,” The teen admitted. “Yeah but you’re young, you should be out dancing, and not with two-year-olds.”
“I got a cousin, he’s 20, but I think y’all get along great,” Michael grinned and called the boy over. As predicted he and Shuri hit it off and as the party forged ahead, the couple saw the two dancing and shared a fist bump. “We’re definitely the matchmaking couple,” Zoe beamed.
As the party began to wind down hours later, T’Challa approached the couple for the second time that day and cleared his throat. “My mother and I were about to leave, I was gonna take the twins,” the king gestured towards the children sleeping peacefully, each spread over two chairs pushed together. “Oh okay, thank you for coming and babysitting,” Zoe Iman Jordan hugged her former best friend, ex-lover, and the father of her children, “I’m gonna go say goodnight to mama,” she squeezed Michael’s hand before leaving in search of the older matriarch. “I’ll help you grab the kids, '' Michael broke the silence.
T’Challa nodded and they grabbed the slobbering children from their makeshift beds and headed out of the venue to the cars. Once both twins were buckled, they leaned against the car awaiting the women’s arrival. “Michael thank you.”
“For what?” The actor turned to the monarch. “For loving Zoe and for bringing the light back to her life. For taking care of her and loving my children as your own, even when I wasn’t man enough to do the same.”
Michael nodded, “You know for the longest I hated you. I didn’t understand how one man could be so self-involved he couldn’t see how amazing of a woman he had right in his hand. I hated that you messed with Zoe’s head, made her second guess herself. Then I finally got her to a good place, she opened up, we were having a good time, then she found out she was pregnant. You wouldn’t even text her back about your own kids.” T’Challa nodded and shoved his hands in his pockets, “If I could do it all again, I would do it differently believe me.”
I know,” the groom agreed, “but everything happens for a reason. I don’t approve of what you did, but if you had been a good partner, I probably wouldn’t be married to the love of my life right now. So I forgive you. And those kids, they are like my own. I am beyond glad that you’ve stepped up for them. I want them to have their father and a bonus father in their lives. You stay involved and love them, then there are no hard feelings between us.” The acclaimed actor extended a hand and T’Challa accepted his handshake. “You have my word, I’m never leaving them again.”
“Good.” Michael leaned back against the car and crossed his legs, hands stuffed in his tuxedo pockets. “So what’s next for you?” He asked a few beats later.
T’Challa exhaled, “I’m not sure, but I do know I wanna get my life back on track. Find someone and treat her right.”
“Then you do that man,” they stood up off of the car as Ramonda approached. “I just wonder what she’ll think of this family. It’s all a little bizarre isn’t it?”
“Yeah most baby mamas and ex-wives aren’t best friends, especially under our circumstances, but if she loves you and you love her, there’ll always be room in the family.”
“I appreciate that Michael.”
“Shuri staying with Nakia?” The actor asked when the queen mother reached the car. “Yes, she and your cousin have taken quite a liking to each other,” Ramonda raised an eyebrow. “You know me and Zoe will watch out for her,” Michael reassured. “I know, that is the only reason I’m letting her stay,” Ramonda answered.
“We’ll get her back to you safely later tonight. I promise,” The actor shoved his hands in his pocket and stepped back. “I guess we better get going then-”
“Wait,” Zoe walked out of the venue over to the car. “I didn’t get to kiss my babies goodbye,” the mother pouted. Michael laughed as T’Challa rolled his eyes. “Boy, don’t roll your eyes at me before they get stuck like that.” She slapped his chest before opening the car doors and kissing both of her toddlers.”
“Okay, we will swing by to pick them up after we get back. And you have everything packed for them right? You have Meluzmi’s inhaler, and enough clothes and replacement outfits? You got the earplugs too right? They hate heights and the sounds of the plane's engines when-”
“Zoe they will be fine. T’Challa reassured. “And if I don’t have it, you know my mother will make sure they get it. They will be fine. I can do this,” The king grabbed both of her hands and squeezed them gently. “I know, I know,” the young mother sighed, “This is just the longest I have been away from them ever and I’m nervous.” Michael moved up to wrap an arm around his wife’s waist and press a kiss to her forehead. “ Everything will be fine,” he soothed. “I know-”
“Then stop worrying,” T’Challa offered a sad smile, “You deserve this, to be happy, to have a break, to enjoy your honeymoon. You are an excellent mother Zoe, but they have a father too. So enjoy your break, enjoy your marriage. I promise they will be just as alive and happy as they are now when you get back from your trip.”
Zoe nodded and sighed, finally stepping back from the car with Michael at her side. “Okay, see you in three weeks. Thank you all again.”
“Anytime, you know I love my grandbabies.” Ramonda hugged the bride once more before closing the door facing the twins and taking a seat in the backseat next to them. “Ayy, Mike, it’s almost time for the garter toss,” Two of the groomsmen waved the couple over but T’Challa reached for Zoe’s hand. “Can we talk?”
Zoe nodded at her husband letting him know she was okay, he looked the king over once more before heading inside to watch from the doorway. “What’s up?”
“I just wanted you to know that you were right.”
“About what?” the bride squinted. “About deserving to be with someone who can say they love you in and out of the bedroom. You deserve someone who loves you out loud, and I’m glad you found it in Michael.”
Zoe smiled softly, “Thank you. I hope you find the same for yourself. We both deserve someone.”
“I think I already did but I kind of fucked it up...twice,” the king chuckled. “I’ll keep you updated on that front though.”
Zoe Iman nodded. T’Challa gestured to the doorway, “I think you better go though, your husband hasn’t stopped watching.” Zoe laughed, glancing over her shoulder at Michael who was, sure enough, watching from the door. “Yeah... Goodbye T’Challa.” Zoe pulled the king in for a hug before placing a kiss on his cheek.
“Goodbye, Zoe… I love you,” he sighed once she had walked off out of earshot.
