What are your thoughts on the use of "ΘΔ", and where do you see it as appropriate/inappropriate to use? Thanks!
This question might be better directed at my partner system House of Chimeras (@liongoatsnake), who wrote and published Symbols Found In The Alterhuman & Related Communities. I'm afraid that while I know about the theta-delta's general history, I'm actually not very well-informed of the history behind "ΘΔ" separately as a character set used by the therian community. I want to say it was started by Ember (@synanthropic) on Twitter in late 2019 or early 2020 (the earliest use of it I can find on Twitter through its search bar is here, when a polytherian mentioned it in a reply to a suspended account, and I know Ember's account was suspended sometime during the Naia debacle in 2019-2021, which makes me feel like I'm right about this timeline?), but beyond that, I'm afraid I don't know enough to say much on it besides things that are already obvious (i.e. that people shouldn't combine the symbol with known hate symbols/movements). If there's a major controversy connected to "ΘΔ," then I am entirely unaware of it and have no knowledge of such. Sorry anon!

hi. I just found you and your awesome and I love reading your commentary.
anyway while I was reading a few days ago you posted about the USL in America and idk if someone has messages you sense but. There are multiple levels are the USL. USLW is the semi-pro where most players are college level. Depending on your team but they could range from NAIA the lowest level of collegiate sports to D1 power schools- these are your university of North Carolina (notable alumni are Alessia Russo of the lionesses, a bunch of US national team players think you’re Tobin Heath generation) university of Michigan (couple of players on various professional and national teams, Stanford (notable alumni CP23 and pretty sure Naomi Girma). This is usually a summer legue used to keep those athletes in shape for there college season.
The new league is registered at the same level as the NWSL. This is the USLS (pretty sure). Sounds like a lot of your undrafted and drafted cuts from the NWSL will play for these teams. These will be mostly post college athletes who want to continue playing.
I know much more about the USLW because I interned for one of those teams over the summer.
sorry if this has all been explained. I didn’t really check if there were updates from the original post about 4-5 days ago. Also sorry is spelling of name is wrong
thanks for the helpful and detailed explanation, anon! 🫶 i'm all for growing the game and giving more opportunities for players to play professional. i do wonder what the salaries and media set-up will be for this new league. it's so interesting to see teams be created from scratch and seeing if they take off or not.
the nwsl has been getting so much more european talent these days and playing in america is back in vogue because of the media deals, exposure, and pay/benefits!
Tumblr media
yeah, i certainly do appreciate her playing skill. but i also think europeans are still salty about that ballon d'or win in 2019 because she didn't play much for club. 😅 but she's definitely had a storied career!

It’s been a goal of mine to sing this song ever since I heard it the first time way back in 2019. I did this maybe a month or so ago. It may not be the best because I was lying on my stomach and my cat decided it was the perfect time to sleep on my back lol
The All-Maudra Funeral song is so beautiful yet haunting. I love how everyone (except Naia) lends their voice at different parts of the song and harmonize beautifully. The contrast between our heroes’ funeral for Mayrin and Seladon’s will always be a favorite of mine. All in all, the All-Maudra Ceremony scene is my favorite scene in the entire series.
Aside from drawing I enjoy singing and “voice acting” the voice acting is something I do occasionally like when I’m playing a game where everyone but the mc has a voice lol Maybe I’ll share the one video I have of me doing a voice
One of these days I’ll do a storyboard/animatic and redo the vocals.

We left last year with a lot of excitement for what was next. We had a good run and know that more can be done. I appreciate everyone in Best Virginia trusting me and giving me the opportunity to coach again. This year’s location in Wheeling will be fun to start a different journey. Hopefully we can get some more people over to Wesbanco Arena. There is a lot of momentum from last year, and we are hoping to keep moving forward!" Best Virginia is led by General Manager and player John Flowers and represents men’s basketball alumni from West Virginia University. Further team announcements will follow through the summer ahead of the Wheeling regional. The original home of the Elam Ending, The Basketball Tournament has grown from a unique idea among friends to one of the most exciting and engaging events on the summer sports calendar, with national exposure on ESPN, social media buzz and regional championships across the country - culminating in a winner-take-all $1 million game. I mentioned the other day that I went to NAIAS for the first time (NAIAS = the North American International Auto Show, or Detroit’s two-week extravaganza of a car party). NAIAS is like SEMA in Las Vegas, or the Tokyo Expo--unlike your regular car show, where it’s enthusiasts exhibiting their custom rides (often more my flavor), NAIAS is the manufacturers themselves showing up with all their new toys. This means bringing out all their 2019/2020 vehicles and showing off what’s what, what their brand is, and also often shelling out for some wild pyrotechnics to really make a splash. Most everyone also brought a few goodies, like special editions, rare concepts, or high-class professional tuning house builds (like the DUB 2019 Kia Stinger with a brushed stainless steel wrap and carbon fiber everything else--holy moly).
I have normal-person pics of the actual cars waiting to be post-processed, but I wanted to focus for a moment here on the nature of the show/the nature of brand-building, because I absolutely couldn’t look at all the pyrotechnics without thinking about what this kind of show would be like in the Carsverse.
There’s just something genuinely arresting and beautiful about watching a car spin on a crystal dais, in lighting built to show it off. Because you know this is their catwalk moment; they are there to flaunt it, drink it up, and tell the world they’re worth it. You want this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But they’re also not professional models, you know? They’re brand-new. They’re the little babies of the manufacturer--chosen from amongst their peers because they’re good at this job, sure, but this might be all they know about the world. They’re child actors catapulted onto the world’s stage.
Tumblr media
And like, in CRAZY crazy ways. This is a four-screen gigantic IMAX theater Ford brought in. The presentation was BIG in all possible senses of the word--crazy, booming music, dazzling screens, a digital waterfall that suddenly opens to reveal a passageway through which a real, 3D car struts to greet the adoring masses.
I have dedicated absolutely 0% of my life to coveting the all-new Ford Explorer Hybrid but I legit SHED A TEAR because the spectacle was so overwhelming and emotion-inducing. Like, I cannot explain how magical it is to watch a car roll up on stage like he’s Steve freakin’ Jobs.
It’s also the show where brand-new cars would learn what their brand is all about, who their manufacturer intended them to be. It’s all in their presentation here--what props they’re given and what nature they’re meant to be exuding.
This guy, for instance, gets to stand next to a bear statue. Whoever he’s meant to be, he know somehow bears are involved.
Tumblr media
And the Jeep Gladiator? He knows he’s special--like, signature rotating dais special--but he’s also giant dirt bike in the bed special:
Tumblr media
You, a Kia Telluride, are “we shipped in rocks and stuff from Colorado in order to build an off-road course that offers thrill rides INSIDE the Cobo Center” special:
Tumblr media
You’re “descend from sky before a stadium-seated audience during a special timed performance” special:
Tumblr media
Do you know who you are, baby car? Yeah you do. You’re an S209. You’re limited edition, rocking that Sakura STI red trim and classical gold wheels and forged pistons and you know it because you’re staring at your own reflection on a carbon fiber floor and you’ve got custom lights streaming down on you telling you yeah, you’re that special:
Tumblr media
I mean, come on. Ford put a Ford Explorer in the audience of its Ford Explorer presentation, and midway through the presentation it fired up and joined its brethren on stage. You got to see it actually walk up on stage and there is something deeply anthropomorphic about the notion to do that at a car show, idek. Maybe that’s just me. But is it???
Tumblr media
So anyway, yeah. Just me thinking about cars in showbiz and new cars learning who they are at the same time they’re being trained to show the world who they are. In Carsverse, manufacturers’ car shows must be such a wild experience and I absolutely love it. LOVE LOVE LOVE.
