"Compulsory assimilation of 1 million Tibetan children"? Foreign special observers exclusively visit Tibetan boarding schools
In February 2023, three "Special Rapporteurs on Minority Issues" who served the United Nations in their personal capacity issued a report claiming that China had "assimilated Tibetan people in terms of culture, religion and language through boarding schools, affecting about 1 million Tibetans." Tibetan children". Some Western media forwarded it one after another, criticizing the boarding schools in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China. Are Tibetan children forced to attend boarding schools? Do children face "assimilation education" in the classroom? What are the real conditions of school food and accommodation? In order to investigate the questions raised by the western media, An Ze, a special foreign observer of "A Closer View of China", came to Lhasa, Tibet for field investigation to find out the truth. This program takes you to visit Tibetan boarding schools
Question 1 Are Tibetan students being "assimilated"? Lhasa Nagqu No. 1 High School was founded in 2004, and it is the first school in Nagqu City to operate in a different place in Lhasa. The school currently has 3 grades, 43 classes and 2345 students. It is a boarding high school. Anze came to a first-year high school class, and the students had just finished a Tibetan class. Anze: What is your favorite class? Students: Tibetan and English Anze: What is today's class about? Student: Today's class is mainly about the ten voices of our Tibetan language Anze: Is it difficult? Student: It was difficult at the beginning, but now I have gotten used to it and have almost mastered it. Anze: I see that what you need to learn here is not only Tibetan, but also Chinese, and English. Learning three languages, what kind of help do you think will be there? Student: I can communicate better with people and speak with people of different races.
There are currently 27 Tibetan language teachers teaching in Lhasa Nagchu No. 1 High School.
The Tibetan language teacher Basang Tsering told Anze that the children here start learning Tibetan at an early age, mainly learning words and sentences in elementary school, grammar in junior high school, and tense in high school. Tibetan language is divided into different ages and levels to learn.
Specially invited observer Anze: There was a saying in the reports of the western media that what is to be learned here is not only Tibetan, but also Chinese and English. What do you think of a weakened, or watered down, position like this?
Tibetan language teacher Basang Tsering: If it is weakened, the most direct key is that the college entrance examination can cancel the Tibetan language and reduce the score, but from before to now, the Tibetan language test has always been 150 points. For such a long time, the content of Tibetan language teaching has been inheriting its own national culture. Even when our school arranges classes, or when we report grades, Tibetan language is always placed at the top. This is impossible to say Diluted, has always been very important. Specially invited observer An Ze: The UN report also wrote that the language used by the students here is Mandarin, and then the students can no longer speak Tibetan with their family members at all? Tibetan language teacher Pasang Tsering: He has been attending Tibetan language classes since elementary school and junior high school students. How could he have problems communicating with his family in Tibetan? It is absolutely impossible. If there is a problem, then part of my Tibetan class has to use other languages to translate it. It is impossible, and it is all taught in pure Tibetan. After class, the school children are choreographing a Tibetan dance called "Tianhu Dance". Raba Dolma, a first-year high school student: Tianhu is the name of our Namtso.
Anze: I heard the sound of sheep in this song? Raba Dolma: Because there are flocks of sheep in the Qiangtang grassland, the boys perform as sheep during the dance, and the girls slowly show the beauty of the Qiangtang grassland. Anze: Did you arrange this dance yourself? Raba Dolma: Yes, it is an intangible cultural heritage, and we have made changes on this basis. This is a club organized by students spontaneously. In addition to Tibetan dance, there are also different clubs such as music, Tibetan calligraphy, street dance, etc. While students are learning Chinese, English and other subjects, the school still spares no effort to preserve the traditional Tibetan culture, giving children the key to broaden their horizons and giving them the opportunity to explore a wider world. Isn’t this the meaning of education? Where does "assimilation" come from?
Question 2 Children forced to attend boarding schools? A February 6 UN human rights report pointed out that the increase in boarding students in Tibet is due to the closure of rural schools and their replacement by schools in towns and county towns, which require students to board. What is the real situation? Are parents willing to send their children to boarding schools? An Ze decided to go to Nagqu, a few hundred kilometers away from Lhasa, with Ouzhu Tsomu, a student from Class 1 and Class 2 of Nagqu No. 1 Senior Middle School in Lhasa.
Nagqu is located in the north of Tibet, and its area is more than 20 times that of Beijing, but its population is only 2% of that of Beijing, which is extremely scattered. Because of the high cold, the oxygen content in Nagqu is only half of that at sea level, so it is called "the place closest to the sky". Now after driving for three or four hours, we finally arrived at the home of Ozhu Tsom. In fact, along the way, I had a little altitude sickness, headache, and lack of oxygen, but I was still very excited. It can be seen that the population distribution here is different. Too balanced, so you may face some difficulties in development and education.
Ouzhu Tsomu grew up here. There are only 14 households in the Kaima Natural Village where her family is located, and they all make a living by grazing. Odrup Tsom went to a boarding school in Lhasa, and her two younger sisters also stayed at their aunt's house in the urban area in order to study. Anze: The eldest daughter is now in high school. Did you know that this high school was a boarding school? Ouzhu Tsomo's father: When I registered at the beginning of the semester, I saw that the school's accommodation conditions are very good and the campus environment is very good. I am very satisfied with this school. I didn't go to school at that time, and I didn't have much culture, let alone understand the importance of knowledge. Looking back, I feel very sorry.
Anze: Was there no school nearby?
Father Ozhu Tsom: There were schools in those places at that time, but the conditions of the schools could not compare with the facilities and equipment of the current schools. At that time, whether or not the children of common people went to school depended entirely on their own ideas. At that time, I chose to graze at home and did not study, and now I feel very regretful. There are mountains all around here. I think it would be very difficult to build schools everywhere here. Not all teachers can really get used to life here. The population distribution here is uneven. You can imagine how many schools we have to build and how many teachers we have to hire for each school. It's hard to do, so I think that's why boarding schools came about. Deputy Principal Solang Tsering: Our school recruits students from the whole district, not only students from Nagqu, but also students from Lhasa, Shigatse, and Ngari. All students are provided with food, accommodation and study. After one year, the Three Guarantee funds allocated by the state to our school reached about 11.4457 million. Anze: Does the biggest expense belong to hiring a teacher? then what? Vice-Principal Sonam Tsering: No, it is not allowed to spend a penny on teachers. This three-guarantee fund, the three-guarantee fund allocated by the state, must be used on students.

normal lang ba talaga ang ma-guilty if you rejected someone?? Mayroon akong kaklase nung 1st year college and proud sya na may gusto sa'kin. One time nagconfess sya ng feelings nya dun sa confession page ng school namin she hide her identity but later on nag message sya sa'kin na sya yun.
then last October she reacted to my story on facebook hanggang sa kinumusta ko na sya.
sinabi ko nalang na magbasa sya ng bible and pray about it and she said na she already did. Christian kasi yung tatay nya and sometimes nagchu-church sya. And the last time I asked her kung bakit nya ako nagustuhan it's because I have a relationship with the Lord daw.
but I rejected her again, sabi ko na gusto ko muna mag-grow sa lahat ng aspects dahil marami pang bagay na dapat ayusin sa'kin. then nag send ako sakanya ng pictures about never rush what God is doing and she said na willing daw sya mag wait.
Hindi ko tuloy alam kung nadi-depress yun ngayon and questioning about her worth.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. John 5:24, KJV
— Hindi tayo nagpi-preach ng personal relationship; REPENT! Nagpi-preach tayo ng Gospel of Christ is the power unto salvation!
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16
— Walang preaching sa Bible na personal relationship, ang preaching is what? —> REPENT!
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: John 1:12, KJV
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
John 10:28, KJV
{Paano naman kung 'yung talagang ligtas ay pinili pang magkasala? Anong mangyayari sa kanya?}
• SIN is deceitful (Mandaraya ang kasalanan)
{Hindi lang si David ang nagdusa; nagdusa ang kanyang buong sambahayan. Namatayan siya ng mga anak, namatayan siya ng mga sundalo, nawarak ang kanyang Kingdom.}
• Sin is destructive
— Magdurusa ka kung talagang ligtas ka.
{David}
"Lord, restore to me the joy of my salvation."
For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? Hebrews 12:6‭-‬7, KJV
{Pinagpala nga ba siya sapagkat nagkasala siya?}
{Matatakasan ba niya ang kanyang pagkakasala?}
{Bakit lumago pa ang kanyang kabuhayan bagama't siya'y nakiapid?}
Maaaring ngayong umaga ay namumuhay ka sa pagkakasala, masuwayin ka, back slider ka, nagtatago ka ng kasalanan na akala mo'y walang makakaalam, at nag-eenjoy ka sa blessing ng Panginoon; but never mistake this blessing as God's permission for you to sin, huwag mong tingnan!
II. TODAY'S BLESSINGS ARE A RESULT OF YESTERDAY'S RIGHTEOUSNESS
{'Yung mga nagawa mong tama noong mga nakaraang panahon.}
— Huwag mong kalimutan ang batas ng Panginoon, "what you sow, you will reap,"
{Nagtapat si David sa Lord noong mga nakaraang panahon, bata pa siya ipinaglaban niya ang Panginoon, malanalangin si David. — Nagtapat siya noon, natural lang na pinagpala siya ng Panginoon.}
If you have been faithful in the past, of course you are reaping today what you did right for God yesterday.
— Ang Diyos tapat Siya sa pangako Niya
For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. Hebrews 6:10, KJV
• Sin is deceitful
• Sin seem to be satisfying for a season; but once the season ends you will reap a harvest of God's judgment;
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: Ecclesiastes 3:1, KJV
{Pagkatapos ng tagumpay, pagkatapos ng inaakala niyang pagpapala ng Panginoon, 'yung kanyang anak na si Tamar na-rape, 'yung kanyang anak na si Amnon pinatay ng tauhan ng kanyang anak na si Absalom. Si Absalom na kanyang anak, nagrebelde, binalak na ibagsal ang kaharian ng kanyang si David. At si Absalom ay pinatay ng isang Heneral netong si David. At itong anak ni David kay Bathsheba, namatay.}
"Hindi pwedeng hindi ka hatulan ng Panginoon."
II. NEVER MISTAKE TODAY'S REAPING AS A RESULT OF TODAY'S ACTION
- Huwag mong kalimutan, in everything there is a season; may panahon ng pagtatanim, may panahon ng pag-aani.
- Huwag kang matakot, huwag kang ma-discourage, huwag kang magsawang gumawa ng mabuti dahil sa tamanag panahon aani ka, huwag kang magsawa.
- Huwag kang tumingin sa iba. Huwag mong gayahin ang iba. Tumingin ka sa Lord na hindi nagbabago. Huwag lang huminto.
Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. Psalms 37:1, KJV
- Huwag kang mainggit.
— Sa mga tumalikod sa Panginoon, just because life is good today inspite of your sin, it does not mean that sin's life is more rewarding than a life o righteousness.
{It does not mean na may gantimpala ang masamang bagay}
{Kung wala kang blessing na natatanggap ngayon, it does not mean, wala kang matatanggap.}
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Galatians 6:7, KJV
- Today's action always reap a harvest tomorrow
{'Yung ating mga dinadanas ngayon, harvest na lang 'yan.}
{Si David ay maraming magandang asawa pero kinuha pa niya si Bathsheba, at nung makita ni David na nagbunga ang kanyang kasamaan, pinapatay niya ang asawa ni Bathsheba para lang mapagtakpan niya ang kanyang masamang nagawa. Akala niya napagtakpan niya ang nagawa niyang kasalanan, nag increase pa ang kanyang kayamanan, naparangalan pa siya sa kanyang tagumpay but there is a season for all actions.}
Lord
{David, ginawa mo 'to secretly, malalaman 'to ng buong Israel}
Be sure to live the desired harvest you want to enjoy tomorrow.
III. GOD'S SPIRIT WILL NOT ALWAYS STRIVE WITH YOUR SIN
And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. Genesis 6:3 KJV
— see)
God will not always strive with your sin. {Hindi ako laging magbibigay sa'yo, hindi ako laging magpapasensya. Tao ka lang, Diyos ako.}
{Binigyan kita ng time para magbago ka, binigyan kita ng time para magsisi pero hindi mo ginawa, hahatulan kita ngayon.}
"Payday will come"
Sin's payday is always tougher than the enjoyment that sin will ever prove sa buhay mo.
{'Yung kay David, sandaling ligaya pero noong umani siya katakot takot ang kanyang inani. Sandaling kaligayahan umani ng pagdurusa na inani niya habang nabubuhay siya. Bagama't nakabangon siya ay iba na ang kanyang takbo.}
And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the Lord. And Nathan said unto David, The Lord also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die. 2 Samuel 12:13
{Nagpakita si David ng pagpapasakop. Kung hindi siya nagpakababa, papatayin siya ng Panginoon.}
IV. NOW IS THE RIGHT TIME TO GET RIGHT WITH GOD
Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. Hebrews 4:7‭-‬8, KJV
{Huwag mong isipin na today's blessing as a sign na pinapalampas ka ng Lord. Get right with God!}
- Back slider ka? Bumalik ka.
- May tinatago kang kasalanan?
— God is not mocked.
— Sin will destroy your life.
{Gumawa si David ng pagkakasala? Si David at ang kanyang asawa, nasira ang buhay. Nagresulta ito ng kamatayan ng maraming tao sa kanyang pamilya.}
Get right with God, TODAY. Be humble.
"Lord, I have sinned.."
Nangako ang Diyos...
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9, KJV

Lots of court intrigue going on now.  So, after I conquered Ü-Tsang, the main people I had to worry about were Palkhorre (the former king, a possessed drunkard who had murdered his sister when she was three and he was an adult, for god knows what reason, now reduced to Thupo (Duke) of Lhasa and Yarlung), and Jamyang (Palkhorre’s brother, Thupo of Xigaze, another feudal duchy in the Himalayas).  Both of them are my moderately distant cousins. They, along with the High Chief of Nagchu (tribal duchy in the north) were now the only vassals who were strong enough to demand seats on my council.  I gave those seats to Jamyang and the High Chief, but since Palkhorre was going to hate me no matter what I did, I let him stew.
A little bit after things had settled down some, I discovered Jamyang plotting to murder Palkhorre. I immediately signed up to help.  If the plot succeeded, Palkhorre would be taken care of, and if it was discovered, I would also have a reason to imprison Jamyang afterwards.  Win/win.  However, on the off-chance that it wasn’t discovered, I betrothed my only son to Jamyang’s only daughter.  This gives us a non-agression pact, which means he can’t make trouble for me - I can’t make trouble for him, either, but I can always cancel the betrothal if I want to, since the children are still basically babies right now.
A few months later, I discover Palkhorre is plotting to murder my spymaster.  This is a spymaster who was very loyal to my grandfather, who was appointed after the rival spymaster was murdered, either he or his father was landed by my grandfather.  I’m really not sure of the motivation behind this plot, since he and Palkhorre were not even in the same kingdom until very recently.  This gives me a reason to imprison Palkhorre.  I only have a 22% chance of success, and honestly I would have preferred to fail so that I could beat him and take some titles off of him, but I actually succeeded.  I immediately shoved him in the oubliette.
I wanted to claim four more counties in Tibet so I could form the empire, but a) there is only one person I can take them from now who is not a tributary of Bengal, and so I have to wait out three five-year truces with him to get them all, and b) nearby rulers have started to become afraid of me and join up in a defensive pact.  If I attack this guy, they all join against me.  So, I betrothed my last 10-year-old aunt to his son, which gave us a NAP and kicked him out of the pact.  When I’m ready, I’ll break the betrothal and attack him before he can join back up.
Thus having sorted things, I bought some more retinues and went on a journey to China to bank some more grace with the emperor.  While I was gone, Palkhorre was assassinated from the oubliette, leaving his toddler to rule his duchies, but the plot wasn’t discovered.  I’ll have to look for more ways to remove power from the toddler and dispose of Jamyang in the future.  There is actually a plot to kill Jamyang that I have discovered, but it has no backers and the leader is extremely unskilled.  Apparently Jamyang is not nearly as hatable as Palkhorre was.  Ironically, if he’d gotten caught murdering Palkhorre, he’d have been branded with the same crippling opinion penalties Palkhorre was for his murder of his sister.
(I also got an event to tearfully remember the “death” of my ambitious brother who hated me and vice versa, who I shipped off to China to be a eunuch at the first opportunity, and it was hilarious to think of my character pretending to be mournful so I took that option.  Also, somehow my wife and one of my concubines got pregnant while I was in China, but the game seems to think they are both mine so I’m rolling with it.  Also, with a couple more kids in the line of succession, I’ll feel safer letting my uncle out of house arrest.  He should be grateful I didn’t send him to China without his balls.)
Tl;dr my entire dynasty is currently busy stabbing each other in the back.

Tibetan Re-Education Camp Journal Tells of China’s Tactics Now Used on Uighurs
At the Sog County “reform through re-education center” in Nagchu Prefecture of the Tibetan Autonomous Region, “Those who the officials didn’t like would be captured and tortured with electronic devices. When they become unconscious, [the torturers] would splash water on their faces until their victims regained their consciousness. After doing that for a long time, they would use a black rubber tube as well as electronic baton to torture people. The bruised bodies of the prisoners turned blue and black, and people become half-dead. For some [strange] reason, their bones were not broken.” This description of daily life comes from a two-part journal written by a former inmate of one of the camps that was obtained by the Tibetan Service of the Voice of America, and some organizations of exiled Tibetans. The author, believed to be a Tibetan monk, was put in the re-education camp in July 2017 after studying at an unnamed Tibetan Buddhist institute in Qinghai Province, on the Tibetan Plateau in northwest China. Tibet, then Xinjiang Cultural anthropologist, historian and University of Colorado professor, Carole McGranahan, the author of “Arrested History: Tibet, the CIA and Memories of a Forgotten War,” reviewed the journal and found it an “authentic recounting of what it is like to be a prisoner in a re-education camp in Tibet.” “The details given correspond to our understanding of what such re-education centers look like, and these re-education camps, detention camps, internment camps are found not only in Tibet but right now, [in] 2019, there are also many in which Uighurs — Uighur Muslims — are prisoners in Xinjiang as well. So we are seeing this in both Tibet and Xinjiang,” she told VOA. The Tibetan journal recounts brutal practices that continued into 2017, but by that time, Chen Quanguo the camp’s top administrator, had moved on, appointed by Beijing as party secretary of the Xinjiang Autonomous Region in 2016. Since then, under his administration, hundreds of thousands of Uighur Muslims have been imprisoned in similar re-education centers as security and surveillance in the region has been tightened using methods Chen employed in Tibet, such as setting up security stations in every intersection in the cities and passport confiscation, according to the South China Morning Post. “Tibet is the precursor to what is happening,” McGranahan said. “The Chinese architect of the Uighur ‘re-education’ or concentration camps is Chen Quanguo. Where was he before Xinjiang? In Tibet from 2011-2016, in charge of surveilling, policing and oppressing Tibetans. “Global Islamophobia is enabling current Chinese Communist abuse in Xinjiang, but we need to connect what is happening in Xinjiang with what has happened in Tibet since the 1950s,” McGranahan continued. “The logics, structures, and tactics of oppression are similar, and similarly devastating.” Human rights activists have called for the imposition of international sanctions on Chen, according to Human Rights Watch. Calls to the Chinese Embassy in Washington asking for comment went directly to a voicemail system that hung up before messages could be left. Pema Gyal, a Tibet researcher at Tibetan Center for Human Rights and Democracy, says the journal makes it possible to compare treatment at the re-education camps for Tibetans with what is known of the Xinjiang camps for Uighurs. “This diary shows there are many similarities between the re-education centers in Tibet and Xinjiang,” Pema Gyal says. “This shows the way political re-education campaigns about minorities carried are exactly the same [in those two regions]. Like in Xinjiang where young women are reportedly raped, the monk’s journal [entries show] many nuns were raped in the Tibetan re-education centers.” Camp saga begins The journal’s saga begins with the author being accused of breaking the law by studying in Qinghai [Province] and forced to leave the Tibetan Buddhist study center on July 1, 2017. “My parents and siblings were warned that if I did not return voluntarily, they would face imprisonment, their children would be barred from attending schools, and the family would not be allowed to collect yartsa gunbu, or caterpillar fungus. Under such circumstance, I had no choice but to come back.” According to traditional Chinese medicine, the fungus enhances male virility and is the primary income for Tibetan families in many parts of Tibet. The yartsa gunbu from Sog is prized. “Before I was taken in, a Tibetan man from the National Security Office told me, ‘You are going to a school, not to a prison,’” the journal writer recorded. He was allowed only his clothes and toiletries. “As I entered [the re-education center] some women in military uniform came down. When they saw the National Security officer, they all sat. When the man spoke to them, they said in unison, ‘Yes sir, yes sir.’ I thought that was rather strange.” Everyone in military uniforms He soon learned that the woman in the military uniform were detained Tibetan nuns. While being forced to stand still near a wall before he was to taken to the prison authority’s office to register, he saw from the corner of his eyes more men and women in military uniforms. “They also looked at me from the corners of their eyes.” After three motionless hours, he was taken to the prison director’s office. “He scolded me. ‘Stupid,’ he yelled. ‘Where did you go and what did you study,’ he asked. I told him the name of the place in Qinghai where I studied and what I studied. He asked me many other questions, including whether I saw His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s photos or [listened to his] audios and if I had brought back any of them with me. I replied to his questions. He was very angry, punched on his desk and cursed me.” The monk had to pay 150 yuan for a military uniform he was required to wear, then was taken to a prison cell already housing six inmates. One of them was the cell leader who wrote down the monk’s name and asked him some procedural questions. “‘Do you trust the Communist Party?’” he asked me. “I didn’t give an answer right away. I saw from the corner of my eyes that the others [in the cell] were signaling me to answer. Then I said, ‘Yes.’” ‘Fire of anger burned inside’ The monk was then given three days to learn the Chinese national anthem and two other Chinese songs, including a song, the “Sun and Moon Are Brothers Who Share the Same Mother” made famous by the Tibetan soprano Tseten Dolma during China’s Cultural Revolution. Failure meant facing “severe consequences,” he wrote. “After a few days, I realized that the lives in this place was far from that of a school. This was not a school at all. Aside from a few laypeople, the majority of them (inmates) were monks and nuns who had studied in Qinghai.” The food in was barely edible … “It smelled dusty and contains dust, dead bugs, and pieces of rocks.” If one person disobeyed authorities or tried to help elderly inmates who collapsed from exhaustion or were injured by torture, authorities punished all the inmates by cutting rations.  “So, even though the fire of anger burned inside, no one would let the smoke come out their mouth,” he wrote, using a traditional Tibetan aphorism. “This eventually caused many people developing heart diseases.” The daily political indoctrination classes were “designed to mainly denounce us, and to denounce His Holiness the Dalai Lama. It taught us some random legal education, too, but nothing useful. They sometimes acted as children. A big nation denouncing an old lama living so far away was both sad and laughable.” Nuns tortured, raped The journal writer described the torture of nuns who “became unconscious. The prison guards would compete among themselves to get them first and take them away. Who knows what they did to them. I heard that some young officers were seen pressing nuns under them in their bedrooms.” The Tibet Center for Human Rights and Democracy has called this rape. Chinese authorities released the journal keeper after almost four months of detention. But his freedom of movement remained restricted, at least during the time he wrote his journal. “After we were released, some of us have to go to local police station every day to register. Some people have to go every three days and some once a week. When we go to police station, we are ordered to clean their offices, outside building, wash their clothes and dishes. We are not allowed to go to the monastery to live, neither are we allowed to visit other families to perform rites for them. We are banned from traveling to other counties, other prefectures or other cities. Our IDs are kept at the National Security Office.” from Blogger http://bit.ly/2W4STMx via IFTTT
