Im Nin'alu by Ofra Haza

Im Nin'alu" is a Hebrew poem by 17th-century Rabbi Shalom Shabazi. It has been set to music and sung by Yeminite-Israeli singer Ofra Haza and others. The poem opens with the words:

Im nin'alu daltei n'divim daltei marom lo nin'alu - Even if the gates of the rich are closed, the gates of heaven will never be closed.

Ofra Haza first performed the song on tv in 1978 and went on to become famous in Europe with a newly remixed version in 1988 that reached the Top 10 in various countries and #1 in several, most notably in West Germany where it topped the charts for 9 weeks in the summer of 1988. In the UK it peaked at #15, in the USA as well. The single sold 3 million copies, making it one of the first world music recordings to cross over into the mainstream. Even though Ofra’s version of the song shows her own modern interpretation, it still fits in with the Yemenite tradition that she represented.

Un artista camaleónico, capaz de producir, modelar y trabajar como dj junto a personalidades reconocidas del mundo de la música, así es Alan Salomon, una de las más grandes referencias de la música electrónica en Latinoamérica.

A su corta edad ya fue nombrado como una de las más grandes figuras en la música electrónica dance en México en el año 2019 y logró que una de sus producciones titulada “Independence” fuera tocada en vivo a través de Reactor 105.7, una de las estaciones de radio más importantes del país azteca, lo que lo ayudó a recibir excelentes críticas por parte de promotores de Francia, Australia y España.

Un poco más sobre la vida de Alan

Alan se inició como dj en el año 2013 tratando de inventar sonidos desde su MAC, su primer set lo produjo desde San Diego, California, en dónde vivía para ese entonces, una vez listo, lo envío a México y fue así como comenzó a tocar en el verano de ese mismo año y desde entonces, no ha parado. 

Si tuviera que elegir 3 figuras del mundo musical que lo han influenciado, serían Don Diablo, Martin Garrix y W&W. El influencer define su estilo como un poco urbano y desaliñado, para crear nuevas pistas suele inspirarse en la naturaleza o en sonidos cotidianos y le gusta ser agresivo y contundente con su música.

“Desde chico supe que me gustaba la música y creo que mi experiencia como modelo me ayudó a entender cómo hacer relaciones y realmente a observar lo que le gusta a la gente, motivo por el cual con mi computadora comencé a estudiar distintas versiones de programación musical, me atrapó tanto, que poco a poco empecé a tomar cursos y diplomados para perfeccionar mi técnica como productor, lo que después me llevó a crear mis propias canciones. En cuando a lo personal, Salomon contrajo nupcias en una ceremonia soñada en agosto de 2018 con la preciosa Nabille Fillat y más tarde, el 31 de marzo de 2020 le dieron la bienvenida al mundo a su primogénita Elisha, una dulce bebé que llegó para llenar de amor y alegría la vida de sus orgullosos padres, quienes no dudan ni un segundo en compartir mensajes de cariño para ella a través de sus redes sociales.

Grandes colaboraciones

El dj mexicano ya ha logrado trabajar de la mano de bandas reconocidas internacionalmente, tales como Moenia, Ok Go y ahora con Drake Drake Bell y Jorge Blanco en el sencillo “No Perdamos Paciencia”. Alan ha expresado que para él es una experiencia muy grata poder colaborar con otros músicos, ya que es algo muy diferente a lo que está acostumbrado como dj, que es básicamente estar solo en el escenario.

Su más reciente colaboración con Drake y Jorge surgió del deseo de poder producir música de calidad, ambos artistas se conocen desde hace algunos años y habían acordado trabajar juntos, pero no habían encontrado el momento indicado.

“Después de escuchar su último sencillo, me pareció una canción fenomenal. No perdimos más tiempo. Nos encantó a todos el producto final. Lo padre de la canción es que no califica ya como un remix, es una canción mía. Da más libertad de anunciarla y de promoverla, es una canción bastante amigable. Se presta para cualquier tipo de situación. (Salomon, 2020)”

¿Qué ha estado haciendo últimamente Alan?

Con el surgimiento de la contingencia sanitaria por el COVID-19, la industria musical se paralizó, sin embargo, las conversaciones para pautar fechas de conciertos una vez haya terminado el tiempo de confinamiento, siguen en pie. Por lo que es posible que próximamente Salomon se presente en México, Asia y Europa, incluso está en sus planes realizar una gira junto a Drake en cuanto el mundo del espectáculo se reactive nuevamente en los escenarios.

El dj influencer también aprovechó su tiempo libre para compartir un nuevo tema de su autoría llamado “It’s The Music”.

“Muy ad hoc a mi estilo. Es una canción que he estado trabajando en ella un tiempo importante, pero consideré que ahora por el momento mundial es importante estrenarla. La canción habla de por qué la música nos hace sentir, qué es la música. Salomon, 2020”.

Y mientras la cuarentena termina, Alan se ve bastante enfocado en su vida familiar, disfrutando junto a su esposa y la pequeña Eisha, además, ha indicado que está aprendiendo un nuevo idioma (italiano) y que está tomando una rutina de entrenamiento en casa bastante fuerte. Además, sigue aprovechando su tiempo libre para producir y trabajar en nuevos proyectos personales.

Sea lo que sea que el guapo dj influencer mexicano esté preparando, estamos seguros de que será algo de calidad, como todo lo que realiza con su sello personal.
