i was thinking that i haven't done anything today but bitch!! we literally went to three stores this morning, i knocked out most of the dishes (doing the dishes is my mortal enemy i hate having pruney hands/using gloves didn't work out well/we don't have a dishwasher/i've used them less than 10 times my entire life), did a few loads of laundry, made us coffee + lunch + snacks, made a few books.. like... bitch we have not done nothing today...

yeah... yeah i'm fine.... just coming to terms w/the fact that i must use javascript in order to achieve my vision w/the neocities...

ONE OF THEM ASKED ME IF I WAS AMAB ACTUALLY LOL #n i was like 'what? that's not important.' but that was really surprising! kids usually read me as female #so it was kind of flattering in a way to be asked 'were you born a boy?' like idk how he's trying to process my gender #but i'm going to flatter myself into thinking the question comes from him like. idk clocking some kind of innate masculinity or w/e idk #花話 #anyway it's Crazy that it took me almost a year to not feel like i'd get instantly fired for telling kids i'm queer #Not going to lie it really felt like i'd never get to this point but it really is kinda just once you start it gets easier #(though to be fair i also wouldn't have told Any of the kids Anything had one of them not started acting like 'gays' was a dirty word)#(n i just Looked at him n said 'you know i'm a queer right?' n he was like 'O_O')#when i worked at homophobic summer camp i do remember daydreaming abt telling my boss i was a 'flaming queer'#i'd have put my feet up on her desk n everything as i made direct eye contact w/her but ofc i never did anything like that.#anyway! i will slep now so that i can get back to work on my projects tmrw morning

pre-pandemic i had a playlist for when i was studying chemistry, but at some point during lockdown i got rid of it bc i never used it anymore bc online classes bounce off smooth rubber brain; however, i wish i still had it bc at this rate the romcom hijinks playlist i spent days slaving over (bc i have like fucking Three unambiguously non-angsty songs in my mp3 files by default) to cue the brain into reading mode will be rendered moot bc of all the executively dysfunctioning tumblr scrolling i've been doing to it instead

#(whilst avoiding working on this week's lab report)#(it's due tmrw n i'll probably get most of it done at work tmrw afternoon but i wanna get a Chunk done now so i can work on fic tmrw)#o chem really has just siphoning away my fic writing time LOL #it feels like every time i sit down to type some stuff up or write or smth a classmate pings/dms me abt it ;w;#lab went on for ages today bc for some reason our product didn't dissolve too well so when we first crystallized it #it had these giant globules of impure product amidst the crystals that just never dissolved #so we had to pick those out w/tweezers; dissolve them; ice bath them for 15 min; n then vacuum filter them #before combining it w/the prev crude product crystals to recrystallize them as a whole n so by the time #THAT got put into ice bath the ice had all fucking melted n we couldn't get more bc the master bucket had melted away #my lab partner is also a massive perfectionist who needs everything to be Perfectly Exact(tm)#n then also get teacher approval if something looks even Slightly off #i'm sure to her i look careless n uninterested but like man i've already failed so much shit before i'm Not that worried #she gets impatient n stressed easily too n i'm sure i don't help w/that ahaha. but also holy shit if it being exactly 5mL mattered #we'd use fucking pipettes not the graduated cylinders it's literally just solvent; i promise you it won't fucking matter #花話
