Request - Mental Reconstitution (Mewtwo TF)

As I continue working on a piece of my own to post later tonight, here's an older piece by @TheNornOnTheGo - this comes from one of their old request streams, where I was lucky enough to find myself turned into a Mewtwo! With such unfathomable psychic power at my new fingertips (paw tips?), hopefully I can get a handle on how they all work without further rotting my own brain. Hopefully this change comes with an IQ bonus, too. Norn does some of the best Pokemon stuff in the community which I keep meaning to get back into, so be sure to go give them a look.

Back on my Voltron Bullshit again, I am currently working on some reference sheets for my "Voltron Legendary Defender"-AU, titled "Starlight Serendipity".

This is one of the characters added to the AU. it's in essence, a VLD!Mewtwo (named Myutsu). He is half Grey Alien (or Zeta, from Zeta Reticuli) and Half-Galra in this AU. Initially created for a Hybridization program run by the Zetans to save their dying species, they created Myutsu with genetic material from the Galra, due to the peculiar characteristics that Galra are able to successfully mate with almost all alien species and create hybrids, thus making Galra genetics a prime candidate for use by Zetans.

The Galra genes caused Myutsu to develop a more lavender skin as a normal Zeta would have, gave him more Galran eyes and a tail. He retained the typical Zeta traits of being a strong psychic however, and is able to use mind control if he manages to get unfettered eye contact with his victim.

Zetas are a species functioning on the principle of a hive mind - only the higher class Zeta can show some individuality. Myutsu's Galra half makes it harder for him to connect to the Zeta hive-mind, thus making integration into their society exceedingly difficult, due to his heightened individual personality. This is the reason he turned to the Galra society instead, only to find out that Galra generally look down on Hybrids like him.

He joins Lotor as the only male general in his ranks. Though generally loyal to him, he harbors some negative feelings towards him as well (which could be attributed to Lotor generally preferring working with women over men). His apprehension for Lotor only grows when he attempted to dispatch of Narti during a quick escape attempt. Narti's death was only thwarted because someone stepped in at the last minute.

In the team, Myutsu takes on the role of gathering Intel for Lotor, working closely together with Narti, a half-Reptilian-half-Galra hybrid, as well as a human woman named Monika, who is to be trained by Myutsu to hone her inherent psychic abilities.

Initially, Monika and Mewtwo were very apprehensive towards each other, due to the ongoing conflict between Zetas and humans back on Earth. The Zetas are trying to overtake Earth slowly by assimilation into the human society through the creation of human-Zeta hybrids (that are supposed to in the end look like humans, but have all the psychic abilities of a Zeta, thus making overthrowing the governments of Earth much easier). For the creation of these hybrids, they have been abducting humans on a regular basis for the past 100 years or so for breeding purposes, tracking genetic lineages through human family trees. If one human gets abducted by a Zeta, their children will generally also become abductees.

Monika is one of the abductees of the Zeta, and came into space through a final abduction meant to harvest her. Thus, being assigned to train under a Zeta by Lotor is met with suspicion by her, though Myutsu and her grow closer over their various missions. Eventually, they become very close friends and even develop a family bond with each other.

Myutsu is very curious about humans and their weird behaviors. He is also suspicious of Monika's deep, almost blind reverent love for Lotor, at times trying to talk some sense into her. Much to his chagrin though, she doesn't really listen to him, holding on to her feelings for Lotor, even when he is still vying for Princess Allura of Altea.

been reading @prudecore‘s fic No Culture (which you can read here, please read it, it’s great) and got in the mood to make some of my own ‘Twos.

Big Chap is kinda based on my Mewtwo in Pokemon Ultra Moon, which I also named Big Chap. Her name and overall design gives away who she’s named and based after XD

Batter is pretty straight forward, he’s named and based after Batter from OFF. I see him fitting a Mewtwo more then any other Pokemon, with Hugo being a Mew. I also gave him a spoon like the Mewtwo from the Pokemon Adventures manga had. His AddOns are probably Unown or something, idk.

Do you ever call a character by their original name instead of the English/new name? I do I call mewtwo by it's original Japanese "Myutsu" It sounds cooler and less mean

An Updated Reference for my VLD Self-insert Monika. It's for my AU version of VLD, titled "Starlight Serendipity".

Monika is a 25 year old human woman from Earth who was part of the intelligence gathering branch of the Galaxy Garrison. They were training psychic remote viewers in honing their abilities to spy on designated targets from afar by using just their mind.

Monika is an abductee of the Grey Aliens (also known as the Zeta) for many years, possibly even exhibiting some genetic tampering by them herself, due to the psychic abilities she displays (which could be a result of the human-Zeta hybridization program).

She befriends Pidge Gunderson as they meet on the top of the Galaxy Garrison building several times as Pidge is attempting to decipher signals she's been picking up from the furthest reaches of the solar system. Monika bonds with Pidge as the latter does not mock her belief in aliens (since Pidge has been picking up alien signals for a while now). Pidge was present the night when Monika was abducted by the Zeta one final time as they were taking her into space with no intention of returning her.

Monika gets recruited into Lotor’s team after Ezor and Lotor bust her out of the Zeta spaceship. She quickly bonds with Ezor due to their shared bubbly nature, and has an immediate attraction to Prince Lotor.

That crush on Lotor quickly deepens to genuine love as she sees that he's attempting to actually save the universe in his own way. Prince Lotor also seems fond of Monika, indulging in answering all her questions about the alien civilizations he encountered in his long life. He is fascinated by how openly vulnerable Monika can be, noticing that she rather prefers to spell things out directly.

Monika has a degree in Biology and can in turn tell Lotor much about Earth organisms. It fascinates her how Galra can seemingly reproduce with any alien species and wonders what the Biology behind that is.

Princess Allura is the biggest thorn in Monika's eyes. She loathes the Princess for her foolishness and inability to actually be a level-headed diplomat, seeing all too often how the Princess is ruled by volatile emotions rather than reason. Though there's also jealousy involved - Monika knows that Allura is the "dream girl" of Prince Lotor, as he told her the tales of the Princess he surely could have married if the tragic events of Voltron's creation hadn't happened 10,000 years ago. The re-appearance of Princess Allura make Monika's biggest fears a reality as Lotor attempts to pursue the Princess romantically. This causes Monika and Lotor to drift apart, though Monika vows to still love Lotor and if Allura makes him happy, so be it. His happiness is the most important to Monika, as she genuinely loves Lotor.

Monika displays undying loyalty towards Lotor, even being willing to sacrifice her own life for his sake, should it be needed. She would rather die than ever betray him.

Though she sees herself as weak, she is rather enduring and resilient. Monika draws a lot, having a habit of drawing out her fantasies about Lotor on paper, though she also uses drawing to record her visions that she gains during remote viewing sessions. Her other hobby is crocheting - she even has made herself a secret Lotor plush toy to cuddle with.

Monika has two psychic enhancer crystals permanently attached to her skull. These were obtained from planet Veluria to help Monika with focusing and increase the range of her psychic spying ability. Her psychic energy has a water-like quality to it and is further enhanced near bodies of water or a sensory deprivation tank. A favorite saying known to psychics from the Galaxy Garrison is actually Shiro's tag line "Patience yields focus".

Despite hating Zetas for all the abductions and experiments they performed on her, Monika bonds with Myutsu (a Half-Zeta) and comes to see him as a brother. Narti is also a close friend, and they can communicate with each other easily through telepathy.

Read from Right to Left

A scene that I have planned for one of the later chapters of my fanfic in writing “Starlight Serendipity”. Monika has joined Lotor’s team some time before the Voltron Lions were discovered and has been training her psychic powers with Myutsu and Narti.

Haggar and her Druids have tested out the Komar on a planet to harvest the entire life force. Lotor and his team only managed to save a handful of the planet’s inhabitants. Unfortunately, Monika’s psychic enhancers on her head then start to glow as she goes in too deep into a psychic connection. Myutsu recognizes this and Narti cuts the connection by ripping out the enhancers.

Lotor is confused what is going on, and Narti interjects that Monika has heard the planet dying and they had to act before the experience of it overloaded her.

Lotor is shocked.

(this scene is actually based on one incident where I could swear I could hear the pleas of a tree that some workers were cutting down. It... was a weird day.)

After inserting Mewtwo into Voltron as a half-Galra, half-Zeta (or a “Galzetan”) under the name of Myutsu, I somehow ended up shipping him with Narti!

Narti seems to have something “Reptilian” about her, and I have read somewhere that Grey Aliens may be related to Reptilians in some way.. maybe they are even “cousin species”??

Both are Psychics who train together with Monika to develop her abilities a little bit more. Through their interactions with each other, the three become friends, and Myutsu eventually develops feelings for Narti, which are mutually returned.

All comes to a head when Narti gets taken over by Haggar. Monika manages to narrowly avert Narti’s death, but Myutsu and Monika are then scrambling to find a way to lift the witch’s control over their friend.
