ℋi, everyone! So this month of October marks my seventh year here on Tumblr ( I can’t believe it’s been that long already!) and to celebrate I decided to do ━ for the first time ever ━ a ℱollow ℱorever. I don’t know why it took me seven years to do one but I suppose it’s better late than never. Right? I've just finished the Expanse, so i can finally jump into fandom. Im not sure if I'm just not looking correctly, but I cant find many people to follow. are there fan pages here you can recommend?

I can recommend a couple of folks who post pretty regular Expanse content! If any followers happen to know any more or want to drop your own blogs in, leave ’em in the replies!

The Earthly City, 6 & 9

6. What makes this fic special or different from all your other fics?

Oh geez, the POV for The Earthly City definitely. I thought it would be really fun (HAHAHAHA nope) to write from the perspective of someone with super senses, who doesn’t “see” things the way others do, who is blind but creates pictures in his head using all of the sensory data he can process. 

I did some reading on people who lost their sight after having had it, so I tried to bring that up whenever possible too. The idea of “remembered” visuals and how Matt might use imagination and memory to fill in the blanks. This wasn’t an attempt to make him closer to an average sighted person, I just thought it would be interesting and a way to branch out from canon slightly.

As difficult as it was, I absolutely enjoyed the challenge of it.

9. Were there any alternate versions of this fic?

Not an alternate version but the drabble I wrote for Matt/Claire was a tiny sort of dry run. I knew I wanted to write a “morning after” scene for them so I did--twice, as it turns out!

OMG, that would be amazing! Something similar to 1.06, but instead of Iris taking over the voiceover, her taking over the emotional center of the episode. And then maybe it would allow us to simultaneously see Cisco and Caitlin's grieving process for Ronnie, too, because I feel like we don't know enough about any characters' inner lives besides Barry himself.
