SUMMARY | Mizrak doesn't remember how exactly his motorcycle club wound up under the thumb of the town's increasingly corrupt mayor. But a visit from a stranger from another MC has him beginning to question a few things.

NOTES | The very talented @mysteryanimator posted some art of Olrox as a biker, which inspired me to write this. 🙏 Will maybe write a smutty follow-up later but we'll see. Anyway, the title is a Judas Priest song bc we love motorcycle gays, vroom vroom

“I have a real estate project in the works,” Mayor Emmanuel said, pulling a folder out of his briefcase and nudging it across the grimy manager’s desk.

Mizrak blinked and pulled it toward him. He idly flipped through the paperwork, which included a brochure full of stock photos of smiling families. White, two and a half kids, golden retriever and a picket fence to boot.

The mayor's side projects were of little concern to him, but keeping Emmanuel happy helped ensure a certain noise ordinance wouldn't pass and effectively criminalize the only thing Mizrak had to live for.

He swept his eyes over the faded posters on the walls–advertising oil changes, throttle and clutch adjustments, brake and suspension checks, batteries and chains. But unfortunately, in a town like Machecoul, a humble workshop needed a few additional revenue streams to keep the lights on. It hadn't sat well with him in the beginning, but by now looking the other way was second nature. The drug trade gave way to the arms trade which gave way to... whatever the hell this was.

Mizrak exhaled warily and nudged the documents back across the desk. “And how does this concern the Order?” he asked.

i think it is so inspiring that you’re so devoted to the relationships in nocturne despite its small fanbase! i just finished it and i was worried that there’d be no content, but i stumbled across your page and it’s been one of the best things that’s happened to me recently. i wanted to ask, i know you were talking about a larger project that involves your already written pieces, is there anyway you could explain a little bit more what you’re aiming for with it? no worries if not! ✨

Hello! Thank you for the sweet message -- made my day! :) I'm surprised and touched that someone would like my nonsensical rambles enough to take the time to go through my blog lmao… I originally started posting about Nocturne to work through and refine my concepts, headcanons so it's more of a freeform space where "think out loud" during my writing process rather than polished essays intended for an open audience (aka: I'm surprised anybody is able to make a lick of sense of out anything here).

To clarify my scope re: when I keep mentioning a rewrite in my author's notes, I should point out that I'm not going to rewrite the entire show inclusive full cast of characters. As you've seen so far, my blog is very Annette/Edouard/Richter heavy, with Annette being my standout favorite in terms of my scope of what I'm most invested in developing in fanfic land. I wanted to write a fic that explored her side of things, the complexities of her emotional journey.

The truth is, while I really love Richter/Annette (and I'm so scared to openly admit this lol), I also would have also written their build-up and interaction very differently from canon and what people seem to like about the ship. My most recent oneshot, starts to describe a Richter/Annette dynamic quite differently from what we see in the show.

Lastly, I'm glad to see another new viewer of the show! :D It's been tough being a CV Nocturne fan, since the fandom feels like it's been in hibernation with the massive drought of news… but the new season is around the corner soon(tm). I'm definitely not the only CV Nocturne blogger! I would like to also acknowledge that there are still very dedicated CV Nocturne contributors, in spite of the dry spell.

Without knowing more of your interests/fav characters, etc. It's hard to give more useful response or recommendations. Tbh I mostly just stay in my corner mumbling nonsense about a very specific subset of Nocturne's characters so I don't really know anybody.
