Unknown, ????: the really weird “Felix the Cat Theme Song”
So this is usually attached to the 1958 Felix series, but it’s not the original theme song. It must have been attached to some later syndicated run and gets credited as the theme song, but there’s no way this is from 1958—whoever it was was clearly drawing on Jean Jacques Perrey’s microsample rhythm tracks from the 60s, but with that beat I think it has a late-80s sound like the stuff Mark Mothersbaugh was doing for Pee-Wee’s Playhouse and that one Hawaiian Punch commercial (maybe even early 90s the way that “uh-oh, uh-oh” sample is used)

I don't know why but I feel like I know of this album. I seem to recall the cover.

So… back in the day, Telltale released Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series. Much like modern iterations of the Guardians, the Telltale Series featured that sweet, sweet licensed music themed around anything before 1988.
However, game had some royalty free music for streaming mode. Unfortunately, from what I can gather, they only made ONE royalty free song to replace ALL the licensed music. Much like Hi-Fi RUSH, the song feels like it was composed to replace one particular track ("Why Can't I Touch It?" by the Buzzcocks). While it works there, when "Why Can't I Touch It?" is supposed to play, it doesn't work as well when "Livin' Thing" by Electric Light Orcxhestra or "Dancing In The Moonlight" performed by King Harvest are supposed to play.
Still, I wanted to give the track a listen. Turns out almost nobody had the song, and even the one guy I found didn't have the full thing, so I had to mix what I could find and decided to post the results to YouTube. This also meant that almost no one knew anything about the song, so what little research I had would have to do. Perhaps actually owning the game would have made said research easier, but I'm too broke for that.
Anyways, here's what I could find. The earliest I could find this song existing was in the game, which was released back in 2017. Unless I missed something in the credits, the song was treated as another piece of the game's Original Soundtrack composed by Jared Emerson-Johnson, so he's also likely to have made the song. YouTube didn't seem to have an issue with the song copyright-wise, so it probably is royalty free. That's about all I could gather.
I posted this song on YouTube in case anyone wants to listen to it. Personally, I'm calling this tune "Black Hole Saloon" until I can either a) find a better name or b) find the real name. Until then, "Royalty Free Song" is what I'm calling it on YouTube so no one has to struggle too hard to find this song.

So this was a wonderful surprise even to me, but Luis just uploaded a whole lo-fi mix of the entire Mystery Skulls Forever album! If you liked the Ghost remix then I think you're gonna love this one too.
Each song is also uploaded separately on his youtube page along with a 2 hour version. Go get yourself some good vibes!
