“You come to a fork in the road,” Tenya said, peering over his DM screen. On the table in front of him was a detailed map on top of which nine miniature figures stood. “Down one path, you hear the sound of flowing water. Down the other path, the light through the trees grows darker.”

“So there’s a river down the right side,” Tsuyu said astutely, her dark eyes lighting up at the prospect of water.

“Might be a good place to take a short rest,” Izuku suggested, fiddling with his paladin figure. “I’m down to about half HP right now.”

“Because somebody,” Mina said, shooting an accusatory glare at Denki, “had to go and provoke a whole swarm of killer bees into attacking us!”

The accused blond looked affronted, placing his hand on his chest in a dramatic fashion. “But I wanted to play them a song. I’m a bard, I can’t help it!”

“Yeah, well, I’m a barbarian, and you don’t see me just going around whacking everything in sight. I know how to fucking control my impulses,” Katsuki said, crossing his arms and looking haughtily at his friend.

“Says the guy who’s constantly trying to stick his wand in Shouto’s wizard’s robes,” Eijirou teased, ducking as Katsuki picked up one of the prop rocks from the map and threw it at him."Sorry, not sorry, Bakubro!" he laughed, still protecting the top of his head from further assault.

“Katsuki-kun, please stop trying to damage my set pieces,” Tenya implored, facepalming before leaning down to find the stray plastic rock. Tsuyu picked it up with her tongue and placed it in Iida’s hand, smiling sweetly.

“I think we should go to the river also…” Ochako said, trying to bring the group back on track. “I can try and heal some of you with my staff, plus I have some extra potions in my bag.”

“Not gonna lie, I’m tempted to go down the forest path just to see what’s in there,” Hanta chimed in, stroking his chin in thought. “I mean, we could run into creatures no matter what path we choose, right?”

“But not all of us have darkvision,” Izuku pointed out. “If it keeps getting dark down that road, we probably won’t be able to see very well.”

“I have the Dancing Lights cantrip that we can use to help see in the dark,” Shouto offered, leaning into Katsuki’s side. Katsuki threw an arm around Shouto’s shoulder and pulled him closer.

“No!” Ochako yelled, waving her hands. “Last time you had to use it, when we were in that cave, Katsuki-kun wouldn’t stop referring to it as ‘mood lighting.’”

“Fuck you, Round Face, at least King Explosion Murder gets laid, unlike your dumbass elf lady.”

“How do you know Mysterica Lightsworn doesn’t get laid?” Ochako shot back. “Just because she’s a cleric doesn’t mean she’s the embodiment of purity.”

“Oh my god, can we please stop talking about sex and just choose already?” Denki whined.

"That's rich coming from you, Pikachu—"

Hanta shot a strip of tape at Katsuki to keep him from arguing any further. “Okay, we can all agree to go to the river, right?”

The table gave a collective nod, save for Katsuki who was trying to pry the tape off his mouth without tearing off half his skin. He shot a heated glare at Eijirou when the redhead dared to laugh at his misfortune.

Feeling a bit of pity for his boyfriend, Shouto swatted Katsuki’s hands away and gently started pulling at the tape.

“Alright, you choose to go toward the sound of the bubbling water. As you travel, the sound doesn’t seem to be getting any louder,” Tenya narrated. 

“Can I do a perception check?” Tsuyu asked, already grabbing her D20.

“Go ahead, Tsuyu-chan-kun.”

Tsuyu rolled her lime green die, and it landed on a 12.

“You notice the sound of the running river, though there is something slightly off about its cadence,” Tenya informed her.

“I’ll cast Detect Magic,” Shouto said, tapping one of his spell slots on his game app that displayed his character sheet. 

Tenya’s jaw tightened. “Roll me an intelligence saving throw.”

Shouto paled, but grabbed his blue and white D20 and rolled. He paled even further as a crit fail stared him right in the face.

“Yikes,” Mina said with a wince.

“That was shit luck,” Eijirou sympathized, giving Shouto a sad look from across the table.

“What’s your modifier?” Tenya asked, writing something down on his notepad behind the DM screen before rolling a few dice.

“Uh...seven.”

"You recognize the presence of magic, but for prying into it, you receive three D6 damage," Tenya said solemnly. 

"Oof," Ochako, Denki, and Mina all said at the same time. Izuku reached across the table and gave Shouto a pat on the hand.

"I'm...almost dead," Shouto said blankly, chewing on his lip. "Uh...wait, I'm supposed to be my character, so, I...he feels faint and starts to sway on his feet.” To illustrate, Shouto grabbed his little wizard miniature and started wobbling it back and forth a bit.

Katsuki reached across the table for his own miniature, a small barbarian holding an axe. “King Explosion Murder catches Five PeePee Man before he falls on the ground.”

Shouto, as if embodying his character, tilted his head to look at Katsuki with his mismatched eyes. Katsuki returned the glance, his ruby eyes burning.

“Marry me,” Shouto breathed out, causing Katsuki’s own breath to hitch.

“Christ on a cracker, get a room you two!” Mina yelled while Denki was making obnoxious kissy faces next to her.

“At least wait until we get back to the castle,” Izuku laughed at his two blushing friends, rolling his own D20 for an investigation check.

Another finished music commission, this time a musical theme for @mystericasmercy ! I had a lot of fun with this one, channeling an upbeat, almost magic feel for the introduction was a blast.

Fireheart Wedding Reception

After the guests had settled into their tables within the reception hall, the enchanted form of the previously Council Room within the Sahae’themar Estate, the newlyweds entered in full attire to cut a small cake. It was plain vanilla with various hues of red, orange and yellow icing in fire designs around the small, two tier cake. Atop it danced the true fiery figures of bride and groom in a beautiful waltz. Without much else other than the attention of those gathered, the two took up the cake server and cut a good sized piece, plating it and each taking up a forkful to feed each other. There was no cake in the face on this occasion, but they shared a small icing kiss before gesturing everyone up to the table. In place of a wedding cake, they had opted for various flavors of cupcakes including vanilla, chocolate, red velvet, lemon, carrot and birthday as well as a few wild cards of small cheesecake slices, again in varying flavors of strawberry, chocolate, and plain, with assorted drizzles in the area; as well as a small amount of various pies once more in chocolate, lemon, key lime, apple, cherry, pumpkin, and coconut. They had wanted variety and not to limit anyone to any one thing, so they had fulfilled as best as they could for that topic. It was as everyone served themselves did the bride and bridal party slip out to change into their reception dresses and, once returning, enjoying their choice dessert.

In front of the stained glass windows sat the newlyweds and a small quantity of family with Faehdrel and Cay’den on Aeleda’s side and Etherious and Calithieia on Ignitheus’. At the nearest tables sat the splintered party of the bridesmaids with one table consisting of what could be called the “Company Party” including Velatrois Verdeaux, Altrois le’Vautour, Novi Wildfall all together, a gap chair and then Dyandre Silentveil with one of her hands stolen by Cassia Bloodwing while the Lady Kela’dar was leaning against her fiance Rai’themar Kela’dar who kept an arm on the back of her chair loosely. Beside him sat a rather stiff figure that seemed unacquainted with much of the table, one Xandriela Suncrest.

Behind them, off to the side so they blocked no one’s view, was the Taurahe Company Party, with Tocho Creekstalker, Eu’reu’reong Broadscarre and his mate Nianeh Windhorn as well as Yeonna Snowhoof and her mate Hruullem. Without even having to see one of the Taurahe standing, it was apparent why these five sat elsewhere; while Altrois was as tall as Nianeh - a rather concerning fact in and of itself - Broadscarre was nearly nine feet tall and he was the smallest of them all, aside from his mate. After the last company party table, maid of honor Jovida and her other two brothers Melvaen and Tasen Kela’dar as well as their cousin Xanadice, were seated with a number of Aeleda’s mage friends, including Velanna Emberhearth. On the other side of the room, closer to Ignitheus sat his aunt Mysterica, Thanalos, Zan’themos and a few other scattered Fireheart relatives. Behind this table sat a number of Ignitheus’ order members, many of which stuck to their own as opposed to actively socializing. More in the middle sat the table of Silverhearts, each adorned majestically.

After desserts, the blessings or gifts were agreed to be accepted. Rai’themar and Cassia offered blessings of prosperity, health and safe returns from combat. Valenna offered the blessing of always finding trust within your partner and within yourself, so that you may change and not feel as if you forsake your love. Tocho offered a blessing of flexibility in difficult times and Yeonna offered strength and hope in the darkest of times. Faehdrel then mentioned the buying of the couple’s first fine dishes and flatware set, and offered a glance to Rai’themar at his table, who nodded, suggesting he would offer a true gift in the near future. With everyone else finished, the Silverhearts rose as a unit to approach the couple and tell them of the gifts they bear: three white wolves, which represents purity and loyalty, two black steeds for strength, and one red riding dragonhawk. The Firehearts looked taken aback by this, but humbly accepted. Gale’s daughter, Vevi, offered then a blessing of energy and strength, allowing them to continue to enjoy their wedding day without wearing out or feeling the stress of it all.

Following the return of the Silverhearts to their seats, lunch was served with a build your own salad bar laid out and a more limited building of their entrees. Guests were asked to choose their meat or protein and build from there from the choices offered. Aeleda and Ignitheus were insistent on letting people have their choices heard, instead of having to limit everyone to what they chose. As the last guests sat down with lunch, it was announced that anyone and everyone was free to leave, as needed or desired, after they enjoyed lunch, and stated that, while the reception would continue until 3 p.m., no one was required to stay or leave at a set time. Much of the company remained except for Altrois, who rose despite the protests of his party, shot a look to Melvaen elsewhere and departed. The younger rogue remained for another half hour before he, too, departed. Many of the mages took their leave within the hour, and those who would be working the Fire Festival also exited. The reception dwindled down and an after party was strictly not happening today. By 3 p.m., all the guests had left and by 4:30, the Firehearts took leave to clean up, change and move on over to Uldum for the Fire Fest.

I HAVE A NEW AU STAND BACK

this one is kinda a role-swap but it is also simultaneously a train-wreck buckle in kids

I’m calling this AU “new game -” as a play on new game + haha get it

sam’s back again befuckening everything using walls of bullet points

so this au STARTS with the end of the regular game

luke saves the world, eldrant falls, etc etc

luke expects to die its very sad my bby

BUT

then he wakes up in his bedroom in batical

and is like????????? for obvious reasons

so he leaves his room and everything is surprisingly normal? no one remembers eldrant or ANY of the journey

clearly a case of time travel (blame lorelei like always lol)

it’s the morning before the “plot” happens

the only out of place thing is that luke is allowed out of the estate, and no one ever seems to remember a time when this wasn’t the case

so he goes to the nearest person he knows really well, natalia

THANKFULLY natalia has also been looking for him for similar reasons SHE REMEMBERS EVERYTHING TOO

and in this au luke and natalia are not romantically involved but they are bros

so theres a happy reunion and they are both thankful to see each other  even if it is under crazy circumstances like this

they do a little digging and it turns out that in this reality, luke was never kidnapped (giving luke a headache as to whether he is luke or asch???)(he is luke just so you guys know)

and then it is the day when the plot arrives

and natalia and luke are like ok this is gonna be fine anise jade and ion are at engeve they will know what to do they are professionals

and they get there and go straight to rose’s house bc apparently there is an “important guest from the military” there

colonel saphir ortion gneiss meets their acquaintance and immediately luke runs outside to throw up

except its saphir not dist (bc apparently dist doesn’t exist) and saphir is pretty nice (if a bit sniffly)

at this point luke and natalia throw all their expectations out the window

which was a good idea

because guess who walks in

except he looks a lot different and he’s wearing fon-master’s clothes and saphir just called him “ion”

so that’s fun

tear seems to know him too which is a bit odd
