I definitely agree and I think a lot of other sam fans do as well...I would need to rewatch some of the later seasons to give examples but I've read some analysis on the subject. I also think he might have some obsessive behaviors with exercising but that might just be projection on my part. although iirc the episode where he goes for a run in season 7 is around the time he's dealing with cage trauma and the wall coming down? not that going for a run is like a cry for help or anything, but I think given his obsession with not feeling clean, it's not a stretch to imagine he feels similar in regards to his health.
