My opinion on the usage of myriad thruths through my own gameplay

my myriad truths use WAS NOT MY FAULT!!! i didnt touch the DLC until the okumura palace which is THE WORST PALACE in my opinion...

i tried defeating the boss fight multiple times to no avail, i was so frustrated but luckily my friend (angel brah😇) whose played the game twice all the way thru beat it for me using Izanagi-no-Okami picaro... you can see where this is going

on my next playthru i wont use it BUT I HAD TO!!!

i try not to use it unless i really dont have much of another option, like with the yaldaboath boss (but maybe my other personas just werent good enough idk) but i found myriad truths was useful to not make the battle drag on NEARLY as long as it would be. especially when considering that there was no stopping point for a while and i was just reqdy to go to sleep,,,

basically what im trying to say is i dont think the use of myriad truths is bad when you need it, its useful for me as a kind of last resort. USE IT!! ITS IN THE GAME FOR A REASON!!

idk if anyone has been keeping up with the #blockout2024 movement where people are blocking celebrities or influencers that have talked about the genocide and people have been making their lists of who to block on social media and today bisan posted about it on her story it was lists and bts was right there (blackpink too) but i am mentioning bts because some armys took it upon themselves to harass her on instagram and dm her about it like... these people's arrogance is crazy. this woman is going through a genocide right now, she has been displaced multiple times and is asking you to take action for palestine and you go out of your way to harass her because she put your oppas on that list and she is valid for it! bts and blackpink, being the biggest kpop boy group and girl group respectfully, should be saying something like OF COURSE THEY ARE GONNA BE THERE and tbh every kpop group should be on these people's lists because they can go on with their lives like nothing is happening and i'm sorry if this offends you personally but if it does offend you, you have a problem you need to fix like??

I finished Persona 3: Reload a couple weeks ago and after some time to think, it was genuinely overall my favorite persona game. Combining the combat aspects I loved in 5 with the good group/ social storytelling I saw in 4 made me appreciate the game a lot more and genuinely help make it the fastest I’ve ever beat a Persona game.

i know we joke and point out how different things would have been if jason came out to sister chantelle instead, bc there is so little support in his life and the only one who knows His Truth TM is peter, but...

he's Really good at playing his role. peter was picked out as gay when he stepped in for diane during rehearsals, showing he's memorized juliet's lines as he does the choreography with jason, even finishes his lines For him. and yeah, it's obvious, so chantelle has him stay after rehearsals, but.

the thing is, jason was still able to pass as straight. he was Literally the romeo to peter's juliet and, perhaps because he was romeo from the start--due to his popularity--it was inconceivable he could ever reciprocate what peter felt for him.

the thing is, peter did not choose to come out to sister chantelle. he only chose his mom, and also matt as a technical bonus. he did not seek out support--only wanted to stop lying to the people he loves and is close with. he got her support anyway.

jason did not choose to come out--it happened for him. he then chose to come out to father flynn, who i assume was not at rehearsals amd did not hear bc why would he be at rehearsals. begged and cried for support and did not receive. sure, he got a speech about how the church would be his spine, that he could work past it, but that kind of support is a rejection.

so i have to wonder... if matt never walked in on jason and ivy, had never callously, carelessly outed jason--

--would anyone other than peter and matt even know, without a doubt, with absolute certainty, that he was gay?

Stopping just before the final boss because it's late, but in a first for me, I've managed to get all of my party members up to Level 99.

Though I'd imagine having a Level 98 Izanagi-No-Okami and an accessory that makes my first magic attack do double damage probably helped out a bit...

I'm playing P5R with some friends. One of them is annoyed that I fused Izanagi no Okami using the Special Treatment ability the twins give you. I had one thing to say: Myriad Truths go brrrrrr.

need people to make the most of season 5 byler scenes and edit them to goodbye my danish sweetheart by mitski cause its gonna be so perfect for mike’s realization moment before they get together...

i mean...him realizing it’s always been will? it just took him a while til he knew? and will waited for him to come home to him this whole time? but then he feels horrible because will thinks so highly of him and loves him so dearly but he feels like he changed so much, gradually suppressed bits and pieces of himself and became distant...and he doesn’t blame will if he tries to forget about him and move on, i did so much damage and i don’t deserve your love as i am now...but can we still be what we’re meant to be? will you give me a chance? even if i made you wait for so long?

i’m not good with words so i probably won’t describe it right. but the black/white mentality online sometimes of things with any flaws being ‘pure evil/need to be destroyed’ and expecting the alternative to be whatever arbitrary things the person decided are ‘perfectly healthy’... does not do anyone good.

i mean yes, we could go into it being an extension of purity culture, of conservatism mindset etc but like. at an even more basic level, especially because online spaces have a lot of younger people:

its really bad to view YOURSELF that way. and when you’re viewing even things way outside you that way, you might be viewing yourself that way. that relationship in X novel is bad because person 1 didn’t communicate right away, and even if they learn and improve through the novel you’ve already decided they’re “too flawed”, or maybe the person 1 never fully improves since its a novel and ‘awful’ to ‘moderately decent at relationships’ is the arc instead of moderately decent to ‘perfect.’ 

But my point is, about yourself: no one is perfect. You will NEVER be perfect. Please don’t hold yourself to the expectation you MUST BE PERFECT and anything less makes you pure evil/irredeemable/awful and unworthy of being treated fairly. The best anyone can do in this life, is try their best, notice when they do happen to mess up or someone lets them know they have, and practice trying to do better next time. You can improve yourself for a lifetime, for decades go to therapy and do all the right exercises and work on yourself every time you slip up even a little AND give yourself breaks so you don’t work yourself to death being overly critical of yourself nonstop... and still by your death you won’t be perfect. 

When I see people get very intensely angry about fiction being imperfect, about wanting it ‘perfect,’ it makes me worry maybe they can’t take and accept their own imperfections. That they see themselves as pure good or evil too, and either naively think of themselves as “perfect” which leads to ignoring when you do actually harm others or yourself (which will happen sometimes), or think of themselves already as irredeemably bad and never able to fix it (since any imperfection even if working on it is “not good enough” according to such a thought process). And that’s an awful way to live. You need to be able to care for yourself NOW, think you’re worthy of respect and fairness NOW, think others critiques of you can be put to constructive use so you can grow, think of yourself as the sum of all the years of growing and improving you ALREADY DID and how that’s a wonderful amazing thing you’ve accomplished! 

This purity culture idea just seems like its very prone to making the people sucked into it self hate because humans just never can be fully perfect, or sucked into never improving and growing and rejecting times they maybe should for their own wellbeing because admitting they have any flaws makes them forever ‘awful.’ That’s not true. You’re not inherently bad, period. You’re not bad for having flaws, you’re normal and human and alive. It’s okay to have flaws, its okay to gradually work on them because humans can only improve so much at a time, its okay to realize 2 decades later that oh you still have this negative thing you do and then maybe work on it then. The reality is we will never be perfect, we will still find our share of some kinds of flaws when we’re very old and about to die, and we need to be able to accept ourselves and appreciate the progress we constantly make and recognize we are valuable and inherently okay as people even when there are still flaws or new flaws come up.
