OKAY SO!!! i love up10tion & their music, but i gotta say a few words for what’s going on rn.... like??????? what is going on!?????? (any links will be provided in italics bc!!!! i’m livid!!!!!!!!!!!!)

first off, wooshin has gotten an undeserving number of malicious comments & death threats for allegedly touching somi (i.o.i) on the chest, which he did not do. T.O.P media (aka up10tion’s company) sent the video to a forensic research lab to prove that he hadn’t touched somi inappropriately. they’re also taking legal action for the false rumors. it hurts to see this happen to wooshin especially, bc he’s one of the members who has trouble expressing his emotions & lacks confidence in himself bc of how he’s often compared to other celebrities in terms of only looks. obviously, i am part of the #WooshinProtectionSquad so if u wanna fight @ me pls

also, this up10tion and mina thing??? wha????? t????? people are claiming that during last isac up10tion (specifically: hwanhee) mocked mina’s rhythmic gymnastic performance, where she made a mistake and dropped her hoop. her, and members of twice, got emotional and cried over the performance afterwards, knowing how hard she’d practiced but it didn’t show in the competition. the only article-like info i’ve found was on a vietnamese site (google translated), and i guess this “controversy” isn’t entirely out in the open....??? now, still, this is boggling my mind bc???? i cant find any vids, but the gif that shows hwanhee “mocking” her is literally him throwing a flag in the air & rolling to catch it. like. that’s..... that’s him trying to be a gymnast for a second, omg, i don’t understand why ppl are saying that he was mocking anyone!! he high-fives another member bc he caught it!??!!!? like!??!!! congrats, hwan!!!?!???? again, #HwanheeProtectionSquad 

now blackface. honestly, this is the issue that is understandable to have w/ up10. u can look this one up, the articles are everywhere. some members of up10tion drew on kuhn’s face w/ makeup, and then he eventually took over to color his face black. he was going for a goblin(?) character i guess, but obviously that was not what was perceived by honey10s & other kpop fans. ughhh, kuhn didn’t post a formal apology most likely because of the company, which must not have seen this as an issue as imperative as international fans have. this is what my best guess is, i’m not excusing him or t.o.p media for not apologizing, but if it’s an apology u want ur not gonna get it. unless the knetz are lighting the ground on fire, it’s not gonna come.

and that’s it, man. up10tion is a boy group under t.o.p media. and u wanna know something? the company is underrated. 100%, teen top, and up10tion are the only groups under this company, along w/ like 2 actors, and they’re not doing that well enough to earn themselves countless of Loyal No Matter What fans all over the world like twice, bts, big bang, etc. etc. who can talk shit & not fear the consequences for their own bias group. 

people say that up10tion is a problematic group, and u know what? yeah. yeah, i know. but groups like vixx, snsd, red velvet, winner, and LITERALLY EVERY KPOP ACT EVER has done something regrettable -- whether it’s colorism, xenophobia, racism...... but u know what?? they still have fans. people still love their music. people have looked past it. 

bc people change, people learn, and people can move on. we don’t get a play by play of an idol’s philosophical views on life, but they’re HUMAN. LET THEM LIVE.
