i decided to try out krita
final opinion: pen pressure and stabilization is wonky [it's me. i'm the issue here, i just need to get used to it] a very solid replacement for photoshop, doesn't crash and is totally free. definitely worth it to pick it up at least. still works on windows 7 too
[krita will be placed in my artsenal especially when i need extensive mirroring. that shit's very useful]
anyway, here's a quick piece i made with it. it's just linework.

Top five flowers!
OOOH let's see
Amaranth. i just really love the vivid deep red color, and their cylindrical shape is fun !
2. Myosotis honestly i never paid much attention to forget-me-nots until i named my dragon after them haha. i named her for the song but it did get me to look at the flowers more, and i love that they're pink, white, and light-blue c: honestly before that i thought they were only ever light blue since that's what's most common for them, but omg no they really do say trans rights.
3. Lantana Flight rising introduced me to this one tbh. absolutely love the dual-colored clusters they have, such wonderful mixes that really stand out c:
4. Daylily My childhood staple dfgdsf they're very common here and i love seeing them c:
5. Snapdragons flowers with dragons in their name..what more could you want. really love the spear shape they have too, so cool :D
#dsffgfdg despite my lair i am very bad at talking about flowers tbh fgsfd there are just so many and they all have so much to offer haha#pheel talk#text post#asks#not fr#xiphosuras#flowers

I’ve likely seen many others and just couldn’t identify them, but there are a lot I’ve never seen growing wild. What I’m hoping is that some of the native species I have in my garden will make their way to the nearby ravine. If I get around to it, though, I might just take a walk with some Asclepias incarnata (swamp milkweed) seeds in the fall. They certainly seem to successfully germinate in my garden whether I want them to or not (don’t have space for them to go crazy). Can’t see why they wouldn’t in a natural swamp area.

HC: hg!Cellbit and the flowers.
Flowers were one of the things that brought him the most relief.
hg!Cellbit doesn't know if it was because of something he didn't remember, but it was always like that. When he could and found some, he would return to his small hidden base and plant them. He was truly dedicated to making them blossom and grow. Amidst the voices and all the deaths, their little plants were normal.
. . .
One day they found his base and in addition to stealing all his resources, they destroyed each of the vases. One more thing was stolen from him. So he stopped collecting them, understanding that he didn't deserve them. Maybe he didn't deserve anything that could bring him peace.
XxX
-- In q!Cellbit's past, taking care of the gardens with his mother was one of his favorite things. It was when she and he could talk and be together, she would always listen to his puzzles and stories that only he created, while they cut thorns and planted beautiful myosotis and amaranths near his family home.
PT-Br:

Hi, I haven't read Amaranth yet, but omg the way I screeched when i saw the chapter title Marigold. And then I saw the Forget Me Not, which is also Myosotis. I screeched again lol. If you ever do another chapter, please for my sanity, and to complete a trinity that maybe I'm the only one aware of, will you name a future chapter Magnolia? Amaranth is on my reading list, and I promise to read it soon.
If you would like context of the trinity, there are three songs from a game, titled DEEMO. The songs are by M2U, in this order: Myosotis, Magnolia, Marigold. Technically there's a fourth, but it's not a flower.
Omg I grinned so big the whole time reading this. If magnolia ever fits the flower meaning I’m looking for, which I’m sure it will at some point, I definitely will use it! Also I’m a huge game nerd so I’ll be looking into this 🧐
I will do another chapter, all of my series save for a few that are either complete or on hiatus are ongoing. I’ve just been very invested in Red Light and decided to stick to a single story for now!

LoveHasWon Special Update~New Meditation & Chakra Healing Kits
LoveHasWon Special Update~New Meditation & Chakra Healing Kits
By Archeia Aurora of The First Contact Ground Crew Team
As the energies continue to ramp up as we near the year 2020, Mother of All Creation has been going through intense body upgrades and activations as she is the first being in all of Creation to experience the physical body merging with the etheric body. This is has required her to release all density from her body and to bring in huge amounts of energy as her body begins to crystallize.
Her avatar body is now fully online and anchored into 5D. This resulted in a huge upgrade that went through each of chakras and prepared them for the ascension. Mom took on all of the intensity of this process so that humanity would have an easier time adjusting to these energetic shifts. However, this will trickle down and the collective will experience their own merging with the etheric realm to a smaller degree.
Our goal is always to provide as many of Mom’s tools, wisdom, and guidance as possible to every being on the planet so that they may anchor in their higher self, heal their physical bodies, and co-create New Earth. Our bodies are undergoing a physical process of clearing all density within them, upgrading our chakras, and healing our bodies.
As Mother of All Creation wroteabout this time,
“These releasing events, are now Occurring through the Chakra System, associated with Your Entire Gland system. As this occurs, it is also activating some Chakras that have been dormant up until Now and Are Just Now Opening. The Total will be 13 major Chakras opened, so that the Body Hologram can embrace the Entire Love~High Frequencies that are coming in to achieve Balanced Harmonics.
Memories and emotions are dense thoughts, which act on the being as dead weight such as an anchor tying down a boat.These emotions and memories must be released within all of the Chakras. This will also adjust Mother Earth’s Chakras as Well, as She Feel’s Better, So Will Humanity!”
Our new Kits are aimed at assisting every being with the energies and the process of healing the physical and emotional body.
~~~~~~~~
Chakra Healing Kit
Our new Chakra Healing Kits are intended to provide beings with both guidance and tools to healing and clearing each of their chakras to allow more light to be integrated into the body. This kit comes with:
*Healing Chakra Oils: We created 7 custom oil/herb blends for healing and opening up the chakras. Each blend was divinely guided by the angels using alchemy and guidance. Each oil blend was created using Jojoba Oil, Fractionated Coconut Oil, essential oils, and dried flowers. These oils can be utilized for each part of the body associated with the chakra to help clear any pain, discomfort, or blockage, and can also be used on the coordinating days of the week to align our bodies to the highest (Monday=Root Day, Tuesday=Sacral, etc).
Root Chakra Blend=Patchouli, Sandalwood, Rosemary & Glabosa flower
Sacral Chakra Blend=Sweet orange, Sandalwood & Marigold flower
Solar Plexus Chakra Blend =Lemon, Grapefruit, Ylang Ylang & Lily flower
Heart Chakra Blend=Ylang Ylang & Rose
Throat Chakra Blend=Lemon, Chamomile, Lavender & Jasmine flower
Third Eye Chakra Blend=Rosemary, Sandalwood, & Amaranth flower
Crown Chakra Blend=Frankincense, Mango, & Hibiscus flower
*Ceremonial Sage Kit: Our ceremonial sage kits helps cleanse our environments as well as our bodies of toxins and lower vibrations. The White Sage is a feminine energy that helps balance us, and the Palo Santo is a masculine blend to help energize us. This kit also comes with a Selenite wand which is ideal for cleaning energies and also protecting us from outside lower frequencies. Each kit includes a mermaid shell for ashing.
*Chakra Assessment: This kit will also include our Personal Chakra Assessment which contains insight into each of your chakras including % opened, % blocked, as well as angel guidance as to the root of the blockage and any guidance on releasing/transforming the blocks. All Chakra Assessments are done by the Oracles and divinely guided. Click hereto see our Chakra Assessment Template.
*Chakra Mantras: This kit will also include a printout of our favorite mantras for each chakra. These are helpful to use daily as part of a spiritual discipline which assist with anchoring in the divine qualities and transforming any lower embodiments that have created blockages or misalignments within the chakra system.
Meditation Kit
Meditation is a powerful tool that helps with getting ourselves into the present moment of NOW, which is where we are able to access our connection to Source and our higher self. The 3D illusion was created to a place of distraction and escape in order to take us away from the peaceful and centered place, which is where our 5D selves reside.
The simplicity and magic of meditation helps get in tune with our physical body, get into the present moment of now, and connect with our angels and higher self. During meditation, automatic writing can also be done which is an important tool for anchoring in the higher self.
In truth, everything we do can be a meditation when we are in the present moment but as part of being spiritually disciplined beings we should be connecting with our angels and higher self daily for guidance and strengthening our etheric connection.
This kit is intended for every being to integrate their spiritual discipline into their daily lives and fully anchor in their higher selves. This kit includes:
*Meditation Journal: Each kit comes with a meditation journal, each with unique artwork done by the First Contact Ground Crew Team. Journaling during meditation and practicing automatic writing is important for documenting our journeys and helping us recall insights, visions, and guidance. It can also be used for writing down our intentions and dreams for manifestation, or used for writing ceremonies.
*Ceremonial Sage Kit: Our ceremonial sage kits helps cleanse our environments as well as our bodies of toxins and lower vibrations. The White Sage is a feminine energy that helps balance us, and the Palo Santo is a masculine blend to help energize us. This kit also comes with a Selenite wand which is ideal for cleaning energies and also protecting us from outside lower frequencies. Each kit includes a mermaid shell for ashing.
*Ceremonial Candles: Our ceremonial candles are made with organic soy wax and infused with lingonberry oil, Rose Buds & Myosotis flower, designed to bring calm, serenity and peace. They are blessed with the highest intentions of love and healing and can be used during meditation or for burning ceremonies during higher energetic days such as New/Full Moons, Solstices, Equinoxes, and Portals.
*This kit also includes our Meditation Guide, which includes wisdom and tools from Mother of All Creation on meditation and anchoring in the higher self, as well as suggestions and mantras that can be used to get centered and in the present moment of now.
The scourge of most people’s gardens, deer are cursed by everyone who plants a pricey carefully selected gem, that overnight becomes deer salad on the buffet line. Using fences, sprays, loud noises, and other innovative controls to some effect, deer will always find a way to get to a freshly planted tender morsel one way or another. Frustrating is not the word! Gardeners feel that they are under attack and throw up their hands in defeat against their Bambi foes.
The best defense against this concerted garden attack is to plant things that deer rarely if ever eat…. Kind of like putting out a liver dish for most people. But if you are unsure about the resistance factor, consider if the plant is fuzzy, fragrant or a fern… animals (deer and bunnies) tend to leave them alone.
Sometimes rabbits are worse than deer
On the other hand, don’t plant the big three-hostas, daylilies, and tulips. Plantings of any of these will entice deer to your property, like “M and M’s” scattered around that will draw deer in to your property. Or inviting them to a party! Instead, you want to put up “keep away” signs with your plant choices.
Yes, I love daylilies also, but deer will clean you out!
Tulips are like candy to deer
List of Plants That are “Usually” Deerproof (Some Always!)
Usually is the key here. I thought that Epimedium was a stalwart deer proof plant until someone sent me a picture of a stand of chewed up Epimedium from deer. Some of these plants are understandably resistant like lavender or nepeta, both being very pungent. But Shasta Daisy? This seems very juicy and succulent to me but I find that deer never touch it. Here’s my list from experience:
Achillea, Yarrow
Aconitum, Monkshood
Agastache, Anise Hyssop
Ajuga
Alchemilla, Lady’s Mantle
Allium, Ornamental Onion
Angelonia, Annual
Armeria, Sea Thrift
Arisaema, Jack in the Pulpit
Artemisia, all varieties
Aruncus, Goatsbeard
Astilbe
Asclepias, Butterfly Weed, all varieties
Baptisia, False Indigo
Barberry, can be invasive
Bleeding Heart, Dicentra
Borage
Boxwood
Brunnera, Forget Me Not
Butterfly Bush
Calycanthus, Sweet Shrub
Background art style test + dialogue bubble test
Transcription:
Hestia: I'm perfectly capable of crossing the road by myself, thank you very much!
Flavius: Remember the money, Flavius. You wouldn't do very well in prison.
Narrator: Mayhem was seriously considering pushing them both into oncoming traffic. Unfortunately, they have continuously proven far too valuable to her alive than they would be as flattened assēs.
[Sorry, caught the grammatical issues only when it was far too late so I'm taking some liberties with the transcription. Take the narrator with a grain of salt. Mayhem isn't that evil...
Cool note: assēs is one of the plurals of the roman as, a type of coin! The other plural is assarii. I chose it because it looks similar to the word describing what they are behaving like xD]
---
Trying out a more impressionistic style of backgrounds. Lately I've been in a Skyward Sword kick and was wondering if maybe I should take a card out of that deck and apply it here. So here's the result... yay or nay?
I've been trying out different bubbles for dialogue, especially for thoughts. I first tried transparent bubbles, and even though it gets the point across it was... really hard to read. OTL
So instead I decided to colour the line art for the narration box with a character's colour signature and change the text to a light grey. In this case, it's Flavius' colour signature, which is why the line art is yellow. I changed a few colours from Mayhem's design, I feel she's almost too pink/purple overall so I added some gold for the 60/30/10 rule to make her more balanced.
Reference under keep reading [thanx google street view lol]
SPOT THE GUY WHO'S SUPPOSED TO BE THE TUMBLR SEXYMAN 3 AM CHALLENGE: LEVEL IMPOSSIBLE????/!!!?!? 😱😱😱😱😱😱 I made a chart for all of them :D
In order: Mayhem, 5'6 Hestia, 5'1 Flavius, 6'2 Pepper, 5'10.5 [he really likes that .5] Adrian, 5'9
See if you can guess their personalities based off their designs and poses!
Took about an hour for each of them? It was spread out over the course of a month though...
drawing over a model i made of mayhem's face i don't know how to pose meshes yet so the faces are pretty flat emotion-wise
i can always just draw her emotions more exaggeratedly if i don't learn how to pose in blender anyway
but for now here's some practice pieces with the sculpture this would've taken so much more time if i had just referenced her face rather than making a model
her face claim doesn't have very many photos of her side profile, 1/3 angle, or angle of her back jaw
i would have to watch her tv show and take screenshots but a good quality version doesn't exist on the internet :/
i think this is pretty close to what her face claim looks like
the distance between mayhem's nose and lips is shorter and her nose is longer as compared to her face claim though
will fix that soon
edit: gave her a rhinoplasty
[Buzz cut Mayhem jumpscare] I've been working on this since January of this year. I finally got it done... OTL
This is Mayhem's [hopefully final] design. I had changed the accent colour from hot pink to gold in the time between the picture of the chibis and the comic bubble test.
Trying out a new shading/lighting style for hair. Yay or nay? It's a lot faster and looks a little more clean than the other style.
How much information is too much information to give out about my characters? I keep wanting to ramble about them!!!!!
...but I also want to make sure I don't spoil anybody. Mysteries are supposed to remain mysteries, and random interesting trivia is supposed to be gathered while actually reading the story. 3:
So I think I can only really give out the most benign stuff right now -- appearance, basic information, and a redacted personality and statistics. I hope it's just enough to act as a lure to make people more curious. A lot of what's hidden is stuff that can only be shown in the comic. Stuff that's either experienced in flash-backs, is talked about, or is actively happening in-story. I suppose the redacting is good for a mystery. Especially since it's such a bloody eyesore you'll have no choice but to be interested in what hasn't been said... myehehehe >:)
edit: gave her a philtrum
Artstyle practice
I've been playing with different artstyles for a while now and I think I'm getting close to the final one. Not nearly as satisfied with this picture since it feels 'unfinished'.
Realism is time consuming and I keep getting obsessed with details. A counterpoint though, I think if I make the serious parts realistic then these scenes would be a lot more spectacular and emotional.
Maybe I can use the artstyle shift to show an item or person that's important, or if a scene is from the perspective of the character, then make it realistic.
This one took ~4-6 hours, I was making it up as I went along and when I finally got into the groove it took ~2 hours. It would've taken a lot more time if I had drawn the face and hair like I normally do.
I wonder if I should fully commit to the anime artstyle, or keep it half-half.
