Prompt for the meme - terrifying go-kart

[insert prompt here] — you post a prompt, and i’ll write three sentences based on that prompt, set in the same time/setting as my current project

Oops I forgot to mention that I have 3 current projects! But I can really think of this prompt only in one of them. It’s essentially a Sepe/Teuvo story loosely based on a tumblr ask I got the other day but there’ll be a handful of cameos/mentioned characters. (If I ever finish it, that is! Of course it’s the one I have written the least of the three. Ouch.)

But, after all that build-up, here are the three sentences, no less, no more:

The go-kart scene is close to terrifying. Roope is so big that when he takes the tightest curves with alarmingly full gas it looks like the vehicle he's crammed himself in might tip over. Miro, with his long limbs, looks no less reckless, and when Roope glances him flirtatiously over his shoulder when he takes over he avoids crashing into a wall of tyres only with sheer luck.

Josi is taken by Ellie and they’re so cute and I love her almost as much as I love Jos.

PK is single (as far as we know) but lbr he’s more my speed and would take me out of my comfort zone.

5. What’s a crackship you love? Hmm, well according to the general consensus of AO3, Teuvo and Esa is. I don’t consider them crack because they do have a connection, but the idea that I don’t (primarily) ship Esa and John would be considered insane by the fic side of the Stars fandom. But if you want one from way out in left field, my friend and I created a whole story where John’s younger brother, Olle, and Charlie McAvoy got together, via the Tkachuk brothers being half-Swedish. It’s a long plot that does have actual basis in “canon” when you go through the whole thing, but it’s way too niche to ever actually write.

6. What’s the last thing you read that made you laugh? Read... um... I have no idea. The Thursday Next books are funny, but I don’t know if I laughed out loud, I might have smiled though, so I guess that counts. I don’t know what the last thing that actually made me laugh with sound was.

I’m curious...what is the joke in Finnish with the avocado? Or is it one of those untranslatable things?

Oh it’s translatable! Prefix avo- means something open, such as avoauto (a convertible, lit. “open car”). Whereas prefix umpi- means something sealed or closed, such as umpimielinen (closed-minded). Therefore, the joy of the word “avocado” (or “avokado” as we call them) is that it could be considered as open - or in this case, cut in half to show the inside. In that case, an uncut avocado could be called umpicado/umpikado.

It’s funnier without explanation but... But it’s still a bit funny.
