It’s been a long time since I’ve posted as a studyblr on this blog but I think it’s time to start it again. For me it’s been a weird couple days as I bet it has for many people. My campus is essentially shut down and the last day to stay on campus was today. I chose to stay on campus and walking around today filled me with melancholy the campus was empty, the parking lots were empty, and everything was so still I could hear the wind and the birds. During this time I think it would be best to start a 100 day study challenge to motivate me to study during this period of working at home by myself. Although I worked within morning and got up at 6am I was pretty motivated to get work done. I took notes on a PowerPoint, watched a video related to the material and got a 9.5 on a test on the PowerPoint. Tomorrow starts the tradition of all my classes being online. Aloha! We are Stone Productions a group of Year 3 students pursuing a diploma in Immersive Media and Game Design (IMGD) in Ngee Ann Polytechnic.

Stone Productions is currently working on a project: myCampus

Kiosk Hardware: ViewSonic EP5540T 55" EPoster

myCampus is an interactive kiosk that supports the idea of a smart campus.

all-in-one interactive information kiosk

instill a sense of belonging in students

central hub for information regarding academic & administrative works

quick access to all school documents and services

smooth and intuitive process

enriched student life and learning experience

We are planning to implement the following features into the smart kiosk:

1. Infomercials/Announcements (shown during power saving mode)

2. Campus Map Navigation (way-finding - for lost students)

3. Student Timetable (Classes/Tests/Exams)

4. Attendance Taking (keyboard input/NP student card scanner)

Today started my first true day of online classes and it went well! I was really productive today and I’m proud of myself and how much I pushed through the whim to sit in bed and do nothing. Tomorrow I go to work at 6am so let’s get that bread 🥖 y’all! Love, V.
